Adelaide Main.jpg
William didn't answer the angel's query, clearly not used to being defied. However, he turned to regard the kitsune with a glare as he began attempting to endear himself to the angel. Will found himself wondering just how well Chase and the Pack knew these creatures and their intentions, but now was hardly the time. He continued steadily backpedaling, Ash's unconscious form clutched tightly in his arms. There was no way he would ever outrun an angel, he knew -- but any amount of time bought couldn't hurt at this point.

Adelaide watched the scene intently, having nearly finished the sigil and prepared to press her palm to it when the ground beneath her feet rumbled and cracks spiderwebbed up the monument she was using as her tapestry, breaking the lines of her sigil and rendering it powerless. She barely had a chance to register the development, much less begin a new Sicily when she felt it: power, divine power, and lots of it. Coming their way. "More are coming," she murmured, more to herself than anyone else.

Chase's growling increased when Jordan promptly egged the angel on. Said Angel who just claimed her commander was on the way and that that person would decide who lives. This combined with the muttered words from Adelaide that more were closing in was enough information for the Wolf to make a decision. Letting the Angel make the first move would be a mistake, and allowing her reinforcements to arrive a similar one. They needed to get out of here and she was the only thing preventing that. Chase knew he'd have to be quick, whilst she was hopefully distracted with the Kitsune speaking to her. One swift attack, that's all it would take. To say he was nervous at the Angel's unknown capabilities was an understatement but his determination overrode any apprehension he might have.

The Wolf's body tensed before he moved forwards in one single gallop to close the distance, followed by muscles rippling as he lunged at the being. Audibly the growling had slipped into a snarl, his maw opening as he aimed for the neck of the creature. His target the jugular.

One supernatural sprint later, and Ginny is at the graveyard, panting slightly from the run. She’s used to short bursts of speed, not extended runs like that. She looks around quickly. It’s not hard to find the Angel, but it seems she’s a bit late. At least one of the people there is already trying to kill her.

That’s not good. She might have to dose the werewolf to prevent a fight. And then she’d have to keep trying to defuse the situation. Also, this is not her job. She responds to conflict with deceit, and that’s if hiding doesn’t work. Hypnos is asking her to face down the heavenly host.

To say that she’s scared would be a hilarious understatement. She can’t figure out what to do here. If she attacks the wolf, it sets a bad tone with the rest of the group, as they may think she’s helping the angel. But if she does nothing, the Angel might well kill the wolf. That would be worse.

She runs forward, trying to get between Chase and the Angel, bracing herself for a mauling from the wolf. Weight class alone puts her at a serious disadvantage.

"Edgar" had barely spoken to Will and had elected to remain silent during the attempt to sway him from taking his own life, Liam taking control had however suprised him, he knew that Alaric was strong, but for a Nephilim, yet unborn, to assume control of his mother was an astounding feat. Something that caught him off-guard however was the angel that appeared, and he sensed more coming. Gaveel.... He cursed silently.

He edged closer to Ash, if it came to blows he wouldn't hold back, secrecy and false identity be damned, he would never let an angel kill a human, let alone someone he considered a friend. As of now he was without any weapons that he could use without arousing suspiscion or outright revealing himself. He did however want to try a different option, still keeping himself concealed to other supernatural beings, in particular fellow gods, he dropped the wardings shielding him from the sight of angels and exerted the full force of his mind upon the little winged soldier. His best hope was to scare off the angel before she would call reinforcements into battle, giving him time to reason with Gaveel. A lone angel was no match for him, and he made that clear when he used his power of telepathy to encircle the angel's mind, but a small fire in comparison to the raging storm that was Thor's wrath.

Begone angel, this Colony and it's inhabitants are under my protection. Challenge me and I will lay you to waste.

Then Chase launched, a move that caught the deity by suprise, Thor wasn't sure if it was courage or simply stupidity, but a werewolf had no chance when faced with an angel. He had been better off in his human form for all the good his fangs did him. Still keeping a tight grip around the angel's mind, he watched the Djinn run to try and stop the wolf.

Morgan moved seconds after Chase started in after the Angel; she would gladly follow her pack brother into battle if it meant defending the colony and saving their friends lives. Naturally she didn't know the whole strength of what she face but she assumed this attempt was more to delay the Angel long enough to allow Will to escape with Ash rather than actually defeat it. Just moments after Chase made his leap for the Angel something moved inhumanly face between his opponent. Morgan only had a millisecond to adjust her course to avoid whatever now blocked Chase.

She gave a surprised and painful yelp as the Angel snatched her out from mid air by the maw. With a simply flick of her wrist Morgan was tossed aside into Chase and the new comer, they careened out across the ground, Morgan landing hard a top of Chase, knocking the wind out of her.

Ilyana regarded her vessels palm as blood started to well up within the wounds, the smaller wolfs teeth were sharp and had she been anything but what she was she was certain it would have hurt. She focused momentarily on the wounds, channeling her Grace to Heal and was satisfied when the faint glow dissipated revealing the perfect flesh beneath. The Alpha continued to natter in her ear and yet another god revealed himself, attempting to dissuade her from her target.

Both were equally ignored, though she hadn't missed the heir of Solomon decidedly weighing in against Heaven's Host; it was a shame to see his name fall from their grace. She started forward towards the human still holding the Host. She removed her blade from it's sheath as she moved. "You continue to defy Heavens will and protect the Host and the Abomination, for that you will pay with your life, human."

S34NpV7.jpg

Once again Pan was making his feeble attempts at preventing her Legion from entering the colony. She had grown weary of the gods continued defiance of the Word of God and decided to put an end to it. With a silent signal her Legion turned to the forests surrounding Vitae's walls, obliterating any and all flora and fauna within, leaving only seared earth in their path. It wasn't ideal to destroy this much of the land, but it was necessary to prove their point: They would not be stopped in their mission.

Gaveel continued forward with her Elite guard, around the kitsune that had placed herself in their path. "We have come to collect something that was taken unlawfully from Heaven. It was given without authorization and we are here to reposes it." She felt no need to watch over the remaining of her Legion in their task, she knew they had grown just as weary of the gods games as she had: they would leave nothing living behind for the god to reclaim when they were done. She could feel her officer's Grace still near the Nephilim, what was both surprising and annoying was yet a third god had joined the fray.

Solomon tensed and stopped just inches away from activating the sigil on his hand. Solomon bowed his head to the angel and knelt before the messenger as he wiped away the sigil from his hand. “
זה לא היה הכוונה שלי ללכת נגד אלוהים. פאן, בשמי, אני מזמין אתכם לעזור למארח השמים.”
Solomon spoke in his mother tongue, apologizing for his missteps in helping his friends and asked for God’s forgiveness. Then among the smell of burning vegetation roots sprang from the ground once more, this time restraining the Werewolves, the Djinn, Thor, and even William and Ashley-May. Solomon knew now that he had pushed the envelope and the patience of Heaven too far and now he needed to salvage his position with Heaven not only for tradition, but also for his faith.

Adelaide's heart sank as she saw the angel take hold of Morgan by the jaw, tossing her into Chase like a mere ragdoll. Addy hurried over to the wolf's crumpled form, kneeling down alongside her and Chase to ensure they were both still breathing at the very least.

William's eyes never left that of the angel closing in, even as he saw the blade appear in her hand. It was beautiful in the way a venomous snake was -- elegant in the way the moonlight shimmered off its polished silver surface but undeniably deadly all the same. With a sigh of resignation, Will turned to lay Ashley-May down at the base of the tombstone behind him before stepping protectively in front of her and drawing the silver-plated dagger from its sheath. He squared off with the approaching angel, assuming a fighting stance as he'd been trained. He knew it was futile, that he could never win. But the thought never so much as gave him pause as he gripped the knife in one hand, preparing to lunge at the divine being ready to end him. Just as he prepared to close the distance, the ground beneath him shook and he felt a vice-like grip around his legs. Will glanced down, surprised, seeing vines entangling his legs.

Addy stared, dumbfounded, as the roots erupted from the earth to ensnare her friends. Only she remained untouched. She was ready to chalk it up to the angels or even the kitsune, but paused upon seeing Solomon out of the corner of her eye, his sigil left unfinished. Without thinking, Adelaide stood up to dash toward the man, forsaking all finesse for the element of surprise as she attempted to tackle him to the ground. She hastily brought the knife to his throat. "The sigil!" she hissed. "Finish it!"

34gagww.jpg

"Edgar" roared "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" as the angel advanced on the Nephilim and Pan's magic trapped him, he threw caution to the wind, gripping hold of the vines that had ensnared him, flames sprung from his hand and incinerated it. With a burst of light that sent rippling heat through the air, Edgar was gone. In his place stood Thor, fully unleashed and illuminated by raw, unbridled power. He snarled at the angel that stood close to Ash, blade in hand. He raised his hand and to the sound of a thunderclap flew a mighty bolt of Lightning from it, he held back enough to merely weaken the angel greatly, killing her was sure to cause a battle that he knew he in the end could not win. But the lightning still had the desired effect, it struck the angel right in her chest and sent her flying back dozens of feet across the cementary.

He felt the presence of a angels descending upon them en masse upon them, and reached out with his mind to one he was familiar with "I warned you Gaveel, this Colony is under my protection. With the First Sin coming we all need to be at our strongest, but do not think I will stand idly by while you do this. It may be today that I fall, but if I do, so will many of your kin. Are you sure that you want to do this?"

He was the Thunderer, Protector of Mankind, he had as many names as he had titles. He was the Chief god of the Norse Pantheon, among the greatest of all gods, when days had gone cold and ice had threatened to engulf the world, he had been there to drive it back and brought forth the spring. He was the most fearsome wrath of Asgard, and if he would fall, it would be fighting. Mjölnir in hand.

The angel was slowly getting back to her feet, so Thor quickly strode up to her and kicked her blade a considerable distance from her. Grabbing hold of her throat and applying immense pressure to it, he hauled the angel up into the air with one arm and snarled "Did I not warn you?".

The angel looked very dazed, but Thor's face was anything but dazed, it was twisted with fury and he proceeded to slam her down into what looked like an altar made of stone, with such force caused a great portion of the stone to shatter completely and left large cracks all over what remained.

Confident that the angel was incapacitated, at least for the moment, he turned back to the hunters, not sure how they would react "It was not my intention that you would find out this way, but trust me when I say that I am on your side." Dark clouds gathered as he pulled out Mjölnir "They're coming in numbers."

Chase didn't have time to change course when the woman interfered, his jaw slamming shut and body stiffening as he awaited the unanticipated impact. The wolf crashed into her for only a second before he felt yet another body slam into the two of, the three bodies flailing across the grassy graveyard. When Morgan landed atop him Chase let out his own help of surprise at the pain radiating from his side as he tried to gather his breath back from the impacts. Slowly he pushed himself to his feet, careful not to throw Morgan off of him as he did so. The wolf groaning lightly knowing he had a cracked rib or two. His head turned towards what was now clearly a Djinn from the smell, the woman landing just beside them, he gave a warning growl. Chase knew of the Djinn in the colony that wasn't supposed to be hostile, yet she'd had no problem interfering and protecting the angel.

Turning back he saw the angel converging on the others whilst Adelaide had sought to check on them. Then without warning roots sprouted from the ground, wrapping themselves around his legs to keep him from going anywhere. Chase snarled and snapped at the roots, attempting to rip them away using his teeth. He knew they couldn't trust the power hungry human that kept a god as a pet. The betrayals were beginning to wrack up in this valley of death.

When the roaring started and lightning struck Chase had temporarily stopped his effort to free himself to look up to find Thor standing where Edgar once had leaving him more than confused. As far as he'd known Thor had left and Edgar was just another hunter. Once the god had knocked the angel out cold Chase turned his attention back to the roots and with effort ripped himself free and moved forwards and away from their grasp. With Morgan likely able to get free on her own and Adelaide dealing with Solomon, the wolf stepped over to Will and carefully clamped down on some of the roots keeping a hold of him and started pulling and shaking his head to try and help free him. The Full-Moon effect on them was getting a use tonight after-all.

Solomon didn’t flinch as the knife was pressed against his throat. Solomon grabbed Addy’s blade arm and pressed the blade against his own throat, “ I’m willing to die for my faith.” Solomon sounded confident, but he was racked with guilt and shame for having turned on them. Then In a display of skill he had yet to show the residents of the Colony the sorcerer swiftly turned the tables in Addy with a strike to her temple. Following through with the motion Solomon rolled switching their positions and disarming Addy. Solomon looked into the witch’s eyes for just a moment before aiming at her temple once more in an attempt to knock her out.

Jordan walked over to the Angel and leaned over to look at her, he lightly slapped her face a couple of times until she woke back up, "And as always, heaven shows up and things break down completely... Honestly, all you had to do was hurt a couple of wolves and kill the abomination. Although..." Inari's eyes flashed with primal rage as he inspected his claws before running the Angel through the stomach. Inari leaned over until his face was inches away from the Angel's, "It was never going to be that simple when you threaten an abomination in front of one of the first of its kind."

A large white tail with a red tip flowed from Inari's back and slithered through the air towards the angel blade. The tail moved and positioned the angel blade before slipping under and flinging the blade through the air. Inari let his free hand lazily lift in the air and catch the blade. He inspected the blade with a sadistic admiration before talking to the Angel once more, "It's funny, as many of you as I have killed during my duty, I never thought to take one of these as a prize. Normally your disrespect would warrant my unbridled rage and a punishment that would have you beg for the mercy of death, but unfortunately I have others to entertain and it's fitting that you are already on a tombstone in a cemetery....I apologize for cutting our intimate moment so short~" Inari rested his head on the Angel's shoulder in an almost loving manner before running her through with her own blade.

The feeling he got from killing after so long was pleasantly, maliciously...EUPHORIC. His eyes betrayed the pleasure he was feeling, he would have to keep himself from reverting back to the nature that had made him so feared. An almost tangible rush of primal malice creeped out from him as he stood there smiling at the angel blade.

Ginny forces herself to stand, the impact having completely bowled the young woman over. She isn’t hurt, thankfully, but her attempt to stop things from getting out of hand obviously failed. She looks down, and growls, seeing vines start winding around her ankles. She pulls against them, and manages to get out, loosing one shoe in the process.

She looks around, her glowing eyes narrowed as she tries to evaluate the situation. Her expression shows sadness as she sees Solomon on the ground. She really thought she’d be able to trust him. She sighs, and focuses on not letting the vines catch her again. She still has a message to deliver, so she’s damn well going to be standing to deliver it when the next angel gets here.

Tara catches up finally, and stops as she sees the storm clouds gathering, and the sheer madness that’s happening in the graveyards. She stares for a solid fifteen seconds, just trying to make sense of what’s happening here.

Ilyana was caught off guard by Thor's sudden attack, she hadn't honestly expected the god to act on his words, given how many were full of fluff as of late. Always posturing and posing but never acting on their promises. She was taken aback and slammed into the stone top, the air knocked from her lungs. Thor easily removed her blade from her as she fought to use her Grace to keep her Vessel alive, healing her internal wounds as quickly as possible. The god left and she was about to rise once more then the Alpha came closer.

At first she thought he would lend a hand, so to speak, given how quickly he had turned on his supposed allies just minutes before, buts he soon felt his claws pierce through her Vessels abdomen and stomach, scratching the stone she was laying on and killing her Vessel. She grabbed his wrist and glared at him as the pompous child of Eve rambled on. Her eye widened as she caught sight of her own blade glittering in his hand. She raised her own to stop him, to prevent him from taking her with her own weapon but she didn't have the strength or power to prevent it. She felt the sharp edge of her blade pierce through her chest, head lolling back as she howled in rage.

Soon after the light of her Grace started to fade until finally it winked out entirely.

MpgfkeU.jpg

Morgan stirred after being dazed from the strike from the Angel. She started to rise only to be entangled by thick roots. She watched as Adelaide raced to attack another from her colony, Morgan soon focusing on tearing at the roots to free herself and rejoin the fray. Breaking free from the vines that bound her she turned to chase after Addy only to witness the man she had been threatening over power her and hit her with the butt of his weapon. She growled lowly taking up the distance between them quickly and placing herself between Solomon and Adelaide, standing protectively over her friend.

3SijZSx.jpg

Ashley-May was roused by the loud claps of thunder. She shifted on the cool ground a moment, hearing a commotion occurring around her but not understanding why. Eyes opened to regard the scene: Solomon attacking Adelaide. The stranger killing what only she could imagine being an Angel. Thor having reappeared out of nowhere, and some how Edgar out of sight. The far more frightening thing were the wolves among them. She knew Chase and Will had assured her that the pack meant no harm, but all of her hunter instincts told her they were still very much dangerous. Another quick glance around told her that one of the two wolves present had to be Chase. She could see the closest working to pull an entanglement of vines from Will's body and made the assumption that wolf was Chase. She scrambled to her knees, joining Chase in freeing William as she hissed to the man. "What is going on?"

S34NpV7.jpg

Gaveel paused on her way through the colony as she felt Illyana's Grace flicker and fade. She cursed under her breath and aported to where she had last detected her soldier, with her guard, to come upon the scene of various creatures in the act of killing one another. She glowered at the group of individuals savages before shouting "Enough!" Her voice echoing through the night, loud enough to over power to clatter this group was making.

She turned her attention to the Alpha, noting the blade her held in his hand could only belong to that of her fallen soldier. She sneered at the creature before turning her glare to Thor. "The act of one does not represent the many," She spoke, her voice much softer than what it had been just seconds ago. "Like yourselves we work to prevent the First Sin from rising; at no time did we state otherwise." Her guard were slowly spreading out among the group, though none took up arms, they were merely standing defensively. She regarded each individual slowly, waiting to make sure her point was made. "Desist from this plan of action and speak to us of terms; let us come to an agreement and not shed any more blood."

Solomon looked at the wolf cautiously as and immediately threw his hands up in a passive, placating manner. Things were already chaotic enough and he didn’t want to do anymore harm than absolutely necessary. While Solomon could hear Ashley-May asking what was going on his eyes didn’t leave the wolf as he backed away from Addy’s unconscious body. It was only when the booming voice of a different angel garnered everyone’s attention did Solomon remove his eyes from the wolf to regard the angel.

“ Dwell within my blade and rest Pan.” Solomon commanded before planting his blade in the ground. The wards that surrounded the Now damaged forest would disappear completely and the god’s presence would be restricted to the knife.

Solomon made no move to retrieve his blade and simple stood looking over each of the angels as well as his friends before turning back to what he could only guess was the captain of the legion. “
אני אקח שלום על שפיכות דמים כל יום. אולי יש לי את שמך המלאך הקדוש? אני שלמה דוד.”
Solomon spoke in his native tongue mostly so that he knew exactly what he was saying to the angel. After all English words can either have different meanings or not explain the meaning of a word properly when filtered through.

William chopped and sliced at the entangling roots around his legs with the silver dagger, what little progress he was making sped along by the help of Chase's powerful lupine jaws. Edgar -- or rather, Thor -- and his intervention hadn't been missed. While the presence of a pagan god would normally be enough to set him ill at ease, in this case he welcomed the assistance. As the final strands of vines fell away, he saw the kitsune stepping forward to deliver the deathblow, impaling the angel with her own blade. He turned his head away, shielding his eyes reflexively from the blast of white light that emanated from the husk.

Will turned to see Adelaide's still form laying on the ground, Solomon standing over her. His heart skipped a beat and he nearly dashed towards the man when he saw another wolf -- Morgan, he presumed -- interposing herself protectively between Solomon and the psychic. William saw Adelaide's chest rising steadily and thought it pained him, he turned away as more figures materialized in the cemetery. The woman at their head shouted with such force that Will's ears rang, the white light behind her eyes leaving little question as to who and what she was. As the angel spoke, Will clutched the useless dagger in his hand and regarded her.

"Our terms are that the Host and her child lives. Take the Grace -- it's yours -- but don't harm anyone in this Colony," Will said flatly. He cocked his head. "Are you responsible for Mackenzie's coma?"

Elijah Main.jpg
Elijah panted, clutching his abdomen with a grimace as he finally reached the outer fence of the cemetery. The pain wasn't on his mind, however -- his gaze was centered entirely on the scene playing out in the tiny graveyard. The commotion -- some of it clear sounds of battle, others entirely alien -- hadn't been too hard to follow after leaving the deal site. William was alive -- that much was a relief to see, but the rest of it? Angels, gods, wolves, hunters, all struggling for life in the home of the dead. In any other situation, it might have been nothing short of poetic. For now, all he could focus on was Ashley-May's form as she roused, clearly dazed. Eli braced himself before grabbing hold of the fence and heaving himself up and over it, collapsing on the other side in a heap as he yelled out in pain. The sutures were torn -- again -- of that he had no doubt as blood seeped through his shirt and onto his hand. Eli ignored it, half-crawling and half-limping to Ash's side, falling to the ground alongside her and wrapping a protective arm around her shoulder.

34gagww.jpg

The cementary looked like a battlefield, and the deity recognised Elijah, who was bleeding profusely. Deciding that he would let the angels wait, Thor walked up to the man who had fallen to the ground alongside Ash and placed two fingers on his forehead, closing the wound. With a sad smile on his lips he turned to Ash who looked very confused "I'm sorry, I had hoped that you woulnd't find out like this. Due to the distrust of gods here I had to assume the form of a human or I would never have been accepted. You've known me as Edgar lately, I knew that the angels would come for you eventually.".

The sad smile replaced with a grim look, the deity then turned his attention back to the angels. He gave the kitsune a quick distasteful glance, killing an enemy that was downed by someone else was a coward's way. There was no honor or glory in it. At least Gaveel hadn't ordered an attack on them for it. Giving the grace over as Will suggested wasn't something Thor would have suggested himself, but it was better than them killing Ash and all who tried to protect her. So he gave Will an approving nod and placed himself next to him, deciding to act as a safeguard in case the angels didn't like the terms.

As Chase continued to tug at the roots he found himself soon joined by Ashley, who'd not only woken up but reverted to normal as well as not remembering a thing. The woman had never seen him shifted before so he couldn't tell if she'd worked out who he was or if she'd simply accepted that he was helping. Soon enough William was free and Chase looked to see that Solomon had incapacitated Adelaide, but Morgan had the woman covered and the man had seemingly given up. And Jordan had finished off the already unconscious angel, which seemed unnecessary but he wouldn't argue the fact at least for now.

The Wolf's ears turned at the noise of someone nearing, someone who was being louder than average, clearly not trying to hide. Quickly he spotted Elijah, the man looking like he'd been through the ringer. Briefly he wondered if the man had met angels on the way here and if they were to blame, and regretted leaving the man behind alone. Elijah arrived at Ashley's side the same moment the angel appeared in the sky, and as a deal was thrown out Thor had come to stop next to Will after seeing to Elijah. So Chase decidedly moved closer to Ashley and Elijah.

The wolf made deliberate careful movements so as not to make the blonde nervous, and once close enough he brushed against Ashley's palm with his snout and gave a small lick in an attempt to show her that she could trust him. Chase wasn't however ignorant to the fact that he was still a Wolf and that she might not be as comfortable with him in this form, especially considering she couldn't be sure it was him in the first place. He'd had to get over his own feelings and sensation on this subject when he met the pack, so he understood in some sense. However he wasn't about to keep his distance from the two considering the danger present. Afterwards he'd turned his furry frame so that he was facing the direction of the Angel but remained next to them.

Ginny watches the goings on with narrowed eyes. Her message doesn’t seem like it fits this part of the negotiations. But she still wants to deliver it. So for now, she’ll stay here, standing beside and to the back of Thor and Will. She won’t interfere in this part yet. Besides, it seems that the need for the message has been lost to an extent. They’re not trying to kill everyone like before.

Tara goes to her, and grabs her arm, trying to pull her away. “Gin, what the hell?” She whispers. “You shouldn’t be here, it’s too dangerous!” Ginny looks over at her. “Then go. I’m staying here.” She replies softly.

Ashley-May was pained to see Elijah headed in his staggering movement towards them. He should still be in bed at the clinic not running around the colony looking for them. She knew it would do no good to tell him that now that the deed was done but as he came to sit next to her, hold her protectively she couldn't miss the blood weeping through the front of his shirt. "Oh Eli." She hissed, lifting the hem enough to press her hands against the gauze in the hopes of stemming the flow. It might all be for not if Heaven decided to take her: she knew those with her would sacrifice themselves to keep her safe. She paused as the wolf nuzzled then licked at her hand, there was no mistaking that this could only be Chase and the man... wolf was trying to comfort it. "It's okay, Chase." With her free hand she gently patted his shoulder, feeling oddly uncomfortable with the idea of 'petting' him as she would a dog.

She glared unabashedly at Thor as he came forward to explain himself and to heal Eli. "Thank you," She said almost coldly. "But we'll talk more about this later." She promised. She wasn't angry that Thor felt the need to protect her - look at how many of her friends already did, it was that he lied to her, let her confide in him over these past weeks and, to her, it felt like she was the means to an end: Thor getting close to an angel and getting its Grace.

She watched, amazed at Will's transformation, as he made his demands of Heaven. Just moments before he was going to kill himself to stop himself from changing into a wolf and yet here he stood looking better than ever between them and the angel. She just didn't know how it happened.

Micah appeared just slightly behind Gaveel with the angel, Alaric, bound in silvery chains. He forced the sub-servant angel to his knees, angel blade held to his neck. Alaric looked over those that the angels were speaking to until his eyes fell on Ashley-May. "Ash!" He called out hoarsely only to be forced back by Micah with a hiss to obey.

Gaveel glared at the human that spoke... no he wasn't a human. A slow smile crossed her lips as she came to understand just who this was. "Child of Hadrian and the Hunter Elise." She slowly shook her head. "Why is no surprise we would find you here protecting another Nephilim?" She didn't expect him to answer her. He was direct, to the point of his wishes: take the Grace and leave without harming anyone. Simple enough but Gaveel knew she could use this position to Heaven's favor. "The prophet is under our protection until we find a suitable guardian. We require a protector and I believe we may have just solved our troubles." She glanced from the adult Nephilim to the Host of the unborn one then Thor as she considered.

"We will agree to your terms if you agree to ours. Firstly, we will remove the Grace from the unborn but only if you allow us to turn it onto you. The unborn is powerful, we've felt it and that Grace could not be held by another Angel. A Grigori perhaps but we have none of those available. You however are a Grigori Nephilim. We will deliver the Grace unto you and you will protect the Prophet; work for Heaven."

"Secondly," She pointedly regarded the pregnant woman. "You will vow to assist Heaven in the future. Your blood line is necessary to our plans," She raised a hand. "No harm will come to you, but we require your word that you will assist us at a later date without question."

"Thirdly," She turned to Thor. "You once said you wished to fight the First Sin, if this still be the case then we will grant you the Grace on an Angel. You will seek out the First Sin in the Abyss and strike him where he lurks." Gaveel waited patiently for the three to make their decisions.

William 2.jpg

Elijah remained completely still as the god of thunder approached, the man's demeanor setting him at ease. Besides, his actions had made his allegiance abundantly clear. Thor's fingers came to rest against his forehead and he shut his eyes reflexively, light shocking sensations -- uncomfortable albeit not painful -- shooting through his body. Within moments the feeling was gone and he looked down to see that Thor had finished Ash's work, staunching the flow of blood. The wound remained of course, but he wasn't in any immediate danger of bleeding out at least.

William was aware of Elijah's arrival, barely resisting the urge to turn and tend to his partner's injuries. He was thankful when Thor intervened. As far as he was concerned, any debt the deity owed to Vitae for his deception in posing as Edgar had been repaid in the last few minutes. Under any other circumstances, he might have seen his rapid turnaround on the subject of pagan gods as strange. For now, he was just happy for another powerful ally in the collective bargaining the angel was proposing.

Will froze, staring at the divine being as she made her proposal, eyes flitting briefly beyond her to Alaric -- someone Will hadn't expected to see again. He could hardly imagine taking Liam's Grace for himself... embracing what some would call his birthright. The one he hadn't known about in the least until a few weeks ago, the one he had never desired or the power that came with it. The angel had mentioned the names of his parents -- Hadrian and Elise. They were strange, alien to him. He knew nothing of his angelic father, other than the fact that for all he knew he might have been a monster. His mother was just as much an enigma in many ways. As much as William wanted to demand answers from this woman, he resisted. There were far bigger things at stake. For all his hesitation to trust Heaven's servants after the chaos of the last few hours, he knew there was only one way to keep Ashley-May and her child alive... and to get Mackenzie back.

"I accept your terms--" William said softly, his voice trailing off as he realized he didn't have a name for the angel, or even a title. He turned to look at Ash, waiting for her own answer. The decision about Liam's Grace was as much hers as Will's as far as he was concerned, not to mention her own choice to make about serving Heaven in the future... whatever that would entail.

Elijah wasn't surprised to hear Will accept, though it took a moment to sink in all the same. He tightened his hold around Ashley-May, not wanting to force her to speak her decision until she was good and ready. He also wanted to give her what comfort he could in the face of Alaric's presence, knowing the angel being here would likely cause her no small amount of pain... not that he could blame her.

Ash's reaction had been as he had expected, yet he couldn't fully comprehend as to why. Grace or not he had been unwavering in his aid of the colony and gone to great lengths to keep them safe, he would simply have to explain that their prejudice towards gods left him no other choice. Yet he had more important matters at hand now.

The deity looked to Alaric, who met his gaze. Thor had a great deal of mixed feelings towards the angel, he liked him well enough (something rare when it came to Thor and angels), but he had been incredibly careless and irresponsible. At least he now knew why Alaric hadn't been there to support Ash. However when Gaveel turned and spoke to Thor his gaze shifted back to the angel and a small wolfish smile appeared on his lips, his eyes burning with determination. With the grace of an angel, not merely combined, but fused with his own divine spirit, Thor would be granted the immense power needed to challenge entities such as weaker archangels... And the First Sin.

"It would be my highest honor." He said, nodding towards the angel. "For every hour that passes the First Sin grows ever stronger, better to take the fight to him than to await his arrival here on Earth."

Seeing Alaric was a rather jarring sight, now it was known why the Angel had been MIA. Though the deal that this head honcho angel put forth left a bad taste in his mouth. Yes it would save Ashley's life, but at what cost to William. In a matter of hours he'd found out what a Nephilim was, then proceeded to find out that Ashley's unborn child was one as well as William. It was a rather dizzying amount of information that he wasn't privy to until now. The plan was quickly accepted by the man who turned to look at the woman, Chase followed suite as he looked over his own shoulder. A small low grunt coming from the wolf as his only input, even if it couldn't be translated.

What was curious was that Will had accepted without haggling for a better deal. Like potentially getting Alaric free from whatever prison they held him in. Chase couldn't help but wonder if Ashley would attempt it or if she'd accept just as quickly. Thor had also accepted newfound powers without any thought. This whole ordeal was making him uncomfortable, even if Heaven was an ally against the First Sin.

Solomon had been remaining silent as the others brokered a deal with Heaven. Thankfully the two parties reached an agreement that would benefit them both, but Solomon couldn’t help but stare at William who had apparently been a Nephilim and not only that, but that Heaven would give Liam’s grace to him so that he could protect Ashley and Liam. While he was happy that such a solution came about it was when this angel decided to throw Thor into the ring with the First Sin that Solomon grew worried.
“ Pardon my interruption with the affairs of Heaven, but is sending.. Thor into the abyss really the best solution? Even if his power will grow before his fight how will we get there? How will we retrieve him IF he manages to win? What happens if and when Thor should loose and be consumed by the Sin? Rather than putting an early end to the Sin we could merely be hastening our end.” Solomon was practically venting his concerns and worries at this point. There were too many unknown factors, at least from his point of view, to warrant that such a plan was even worth the risk. “ I’m not doubting the strength of the Odinson, but this is a being that was sealed away in its own separate dimension. Away from all of creation for a reason. “ Even as Solomon was speaking he didn’t that his family ring was reacting even more powerfully in the presence of the Angelic commander. As if it were calling out to her to release it or empower it again.

Gaveel regarded William coolly as the man put forward that he accepted her deal. It was no surprise to her that he had accepted without asking further terms or concessions; humans tended to be rather noble creatures in that sense - even Nephilims that considered themselves human. "It seems appropriate, in some way, that I have made the same offer to you as I once did your father too many years ago to count," She paused, a bemused smile on her lips. "But I learn from my mistakes, while you carry the Grace you will not be able to pass it along to any of your children conceived; as well that Grace is far from permanent, it will be strongest now and fade out over time. It does not belong to you and so you will not be able to hold it's power indefinably, but it will last long enough to decide all of our fates."

A second agreement coming from the pagan god and once more to no surprise. Gods were ever the proud creatures and giving one, such as Thor, the opportunity to strike at the First Sin was an honorable consideration. She gave the Norse god a brief nod. "Good, Micah will bring you and Alaric to your destination then perform the transfer. From there you will descend into the Abyss and take him on." She paused as the Heir of Solomon spoke up; questioning their plans. She raised an eye brow to the man before speaking. "Heaven as its secrets: while the Abyss may be locked and Sealed that does not mean we cannot enter it, or send someone through. The First Sin has split the very fabric of his dwelling and through those splits we can reach him." She glanced to Thor before continuing. "He will not be send without our protection, the Grace will allow us to bind seals to the god: once the Grace is gone and nothing is left the seals will activate and return him to Earth, to this colony. Regardless of whether not he is successful he has the potential to buy us the time we require."

She turned to regard those congregated, considering her words carefully. "Thor approached us previously, making his intentions clear, we discussed the best course of action: If we refrain from assisting, take Alaric's Grace and that of his child and retreat to Heaven, Earth will be lost to the First Sin and Heaven soon after. If we share our power with those that could make the vital difference then we have a chance to defeat him. Thor, regardless of losing, will weaken the First Sin and delay his escape from the Abyss. With this added time on our hands we will release the Prophet to your colony and she will direct you to where the Seals are on this plain. If you are successful in protecting them we can prevent him from escaping at all."

She turned her attention to the Host, the one that Alaric had called Ashley-May. She said said nothing the entire time, remaining quietly surrounded by her companions. "What say you, Mother? Do you agree to our terms?"

Ashley-May frowned slightly after Will had accepted so quickly. Just moments before the man was going to off himself and now he was going to be a crusader of god? It didn't come as any shock to Ash that Thor actively jumped at the chance at power. The Angel, their leader of some kind, questioned her and she bit her lip. "What about Alaric?" She glanced to the kneeling angel; the father of her child. He looked to want to speak but the one she assumed was Micah kept him silence. Instead their leader spoke again. "Alaric will be rewarded for advising us of your whereabouts; he will still pay the penance of eternity imprisoned, but he will keep his life instead." It stung Ash to know that Alaric had done this, had been the reason why Heaven came from her in the first place.

"And what about Mac? Will you free her afterwards? When she's done being your puppet? She didn't get a choice in this, why even bother asking us?" The Angel looked annoyed as Ash received her answer. "The Prophet can never be freed, its in her bloodline and nothing can change that. We had stopped Calling on Prophets because they require a guardian, a protector, and that was usually in the form of and Arch Angel. As we do not have any available at this time, we have to make due with what we have at our finger tips." The angel sighed audibly. "She will be protected by the Girgori Nephilim until we can find a more suitable arrangement." She paused and raised a hand. "And do not ask what I assume will come next: we will not give you a reply, tonight, about what Heaven will ask of you in the future. At this time it may never happen but if it does we will ensure your friends and family are well taken care of."

Ashley-May bit her lip as the angel finished, she glanced to Elijah nervously; she felt she was signing her life away but what other choice did she have? It was for the best for Liam and that was all that mattered. "Okay," She said quietly. "I agree."

Inari sat on the nearest gravestone, letting his tail raise and smack the ground impatiently, the angel blade still in his hand. Each time the tail raised it smacked the ground harder and harder until it was making the ground shake and nearby headstones crumble under the pressure. The dreads on his head were completely covering his face but he was clearly staring a hole through Gaveel and was clearly aware of every angel currently in the vicinity. The more the Angel Gaveel talked the more intense his stare became and the more intense his stare became the harder it was to keep his bloodlust down.

It wasn't until Ash finally agreed to the Angel's proposals that he finally spoke up, "Careful child, trusting an Angel is worse than making a deal with a demon. At least the demons are up front about what they want... there's a reason the saying is 'deal with the devil,' and as much as they hate it, he IS an angel. Much like your little friend here," Inari's tail jerked in the way of Solomon, "The second they feel it necessary no deal is too important to break for their own selfish gain." Inari shifted slightly and his hair swayed to reveal a sickening grin unlike any Chase, or Solomon had seen. He wasn't afraid of these angels and it was clear that he was more than prepared, if not excited at the prospect of an all out war.

"But, what do I know, I've only been killing them since my birth~ Then again, that was eons ago, they might have changed...I doubt it, but anything is possible~ As for fighting the First Sin... Good luck with that one lightning god, you're gonna need it." Inari twirled the angel blade in his hand as he spoke unconsciously trying to egg on the Angels.
