Flying Hamster
fairyfawn fairyfawn
Name: Alchere (Baumann)
Gender: Male (He/Him)
Age: 23
Species: Human
Birthday: 12 July (Cancer)

Appearance:
Alchere - or Al for short - stands at 6 feet 2 with ear-length obsidian-black hair and healthy, wheat-colored skin. He has a pair of sharp, almond-shaped crimson eyes and rather thick, angled brows. He has also stubbles, but never let them grow into a beard. While Alchere might appear rather lean and slender at first glance, he’s actually quite built. He has very well-defined muscles covering his body, the result of many years of training. Scars of all shapes were hidden under his typical knight uniform or heavy armor. On most occasions, he almost could never be seen going around in casual clothing. A serious look seems to be his default expression.

In the afternoon, a young boy was running through the man-made forest of the imperial palace. He looked to be no more than eight years old. The boy's breathing was ragged from constantly running without stopping for a long time. The boy's crimson eyes were dull, looking empty and lifeless. Not a single emotion could be seen on the boy's tender face. The boy constantly stumbled and lost his balance a couple of times. But the blue bruised or bleeding scars that formed from his continuous falls didn't even make him flinch to a stop. He continued to run as if there is no tomorrow.

The boy's name was Alchere Baumann. No, it was only Alchere now. After all, an orphaned commoner with no family wasn't supposed to have a surname. Remembering what his uncle had said about that made his stomach twist. His chest already felt like it was burning from his ragged breathing. He was confused, furious, depressed, frustrated, and anguished. Many different emotions he couldn't understand welled up in his chest, making his vision turn blurry and his heart went cold. But none of them showed on his face. He couldn't even cry when he want to. A gentle voice felt like it was whispering softly in his ears.

"Al, my dear Al, obediently listened to them ok? Be obedient and follow their order. Do it for your mom, do it for your family... Mom loves you. You have to survive, dear. Obey their orders and survive..."

At this time, the Alchere tripped over a protruding root, causing him to fall face-first to the solid, full of rocks ground. He closed his eyes as he tried to prop up his tiny body and continue running. But all the strength in his body had disappeared. He was so tired that he wasn't even able to move a finger. In the end, he gave up trying and lay there silently. In the quiet man-made forest next to the imperial prince's palace, only the sound of the boy's ragged breathing could be heard.

A month. That was how long he had stayed in the palace after being sent here to become the palace knight. He had tried to endure the overly harsh training. He endured the longing to return and meet his mother. To go home. But after just a month, news from outside came to him and he suddenly found that he didn't want to endure it any longer. Everything was gone now. He didn't even have a home anymore...

Obey their orders and survive...

Alchere clenched his small fist. Finally, tears began to stream down his dirt-covered face. The young boy silently sobbed as he continued to lay on the hard ground. Like a dam that has been broken, the tears wouldn't stop falling. Strands of obsidian black hair were sticking to his face from the mixture of sweat, blood, and tears. He knew he couldn't give up now. But his body won't listen to him. He choked back his sobs as he tried to sit up. But just as he lifted his body a little, he heard a rustling sound of bushes not far from him that made his whole body freeze in place. Slowly, he tilted his head up a little and saw another young boy who didn't look too much younger than him.
