Futuristic Re:dux

"And regarding your mission? What makes you think a few kids are even alive down here anymore. Those monsters you mentioned earlier surely would have ripped them to shreds unless they dropped down here with a small arsenal."

Well, zip-a-dee-doo-dah. What a cocksure personality. They couldn't have met a better companion to invite along than this arrogant midget.
To her advantage, Ennis was quite skilled with handling such overconfident individuals, criminals and suspects. These types loved to seek power and domination over their peers. Have people under theirs grasps as puppets, trash them, when they saw them no longer significant. Scumbags.

So sad she couldn't go land a blow riiiight upon that head... Just- One blow. A sweet sound of Boink!
But that would prove to be a very bad idea and cause too much provocation.

The lady still held her gun and made a obvious point of not being afraid of using it against them. Well, so could Ennis, but no good outcome would result from it.
If her talks with her therapists had taught her any lessons- it was not to let herself surrender to anger. Not to let it define her, nor her actions. Never to lash out upon humans, if necessary, then objects at best.
Violence wouldn't resolve anything, teachers adviced her. Listening to the demons would blacken her heart, blur her logical decision making. Leave her senseless. Aye, she got the drift.
But the pleasure. That awful guilty pleasure worth to kill for. The desires would haunt her. Beg her to release the tension. It felt great. No- that was an understatement. Simply put, It made her feel... Ecstatic, when set free.
What followed by, would almost always be regret and shame. Yet Ennis would follow her own specific moral compass, never to lay her finger upon an innocent being. Well- those she would consider to be worthy of the title.

Hmph...
"What about yourself? Not sure what you're imagining. The chance for you to die down here and be ripped to shreds is also quite as high in reality." Ennis muttered mockingly to the other female.

One sidearm? Arriving down here all alone, up against a variety of undiscovered threats, soldiers, monsters and you name it. Not to mention the rumors of the notorious H2O wandering as well.
Even if the woman were, in fact, armed and equipped with more than what was outwardly shown, the high percentage of stumbling upon deadly circumstances, would not lessen solely by that. And then to even make it out alive without any aid...Teamwork and reliance would be needed to survive, no doubt.

What, makes you so special, oh- chosen fearless one?

She shot the woman a glare, " What..? I can't even stand by and watch?", before reluctantly turning her back. Subtle huff and puff ensued.
As impractical as it sounded, Ennis at this moment, really wanted to carve herself some eyeballs on the back of her head. What could be better than broader eyesight?

And minutes went ahead and Ennis grew more curious. If only she could catch a peak...
...
The bitch had better not steal from any of her belongings, or mess it up. A big deal was already made from organizing the bits and pieces, so that everything could just barely be squeezed to fit in.
Starting over with the stupid process would be a huge pain in the ass... What could she expect..? After all, it was Ennis who'd agreed to let her poke around inside the carrier. On the bright side, The woman's attention was now effectively diverted from the injured man, to the bag.

"Okay, you can turn back around. So there must be all kinds of blackouts in security if you two were also able to get down here. Either that or you're just as good as me."

The bag was tossed right back to her as she bend down to redd the insides of it, rummaging through the inner side pockets, ensuring everything were in it's rightful placements... In it's proper original arrangement- not really.
But nothing was looted.

What about her medications? Ennis couldn't seem to initially find the packages.
A sudden surge of panic riled her up.
Fumbling hands travelled from the baggage- No, it's not here- Then across up to her torso... -yes!
Ah, yes. She recalled, they were stored underneath her leather jacket. Mental facepalm.
Of course. It was just pure forgetfulness, at it's finest.
The aftereffects had finally taken their toll. Again.
The stirred agitation decreased eventually, as her bag strap was slid around her right shoulder.
In her head she counted numbers up, in pace with each deep intake of breath inwards through the nose, before exhaling out through the mouth and repeating a few times. A so-so useful ritual to calm the forces of stress.
Her hands trembled slightly, but were burrowed inside her pocket pants.

"Almost as good. So what's your next step from here? Are you going in deeper or are you remaining towards the outer area?"

"Maybe they just protect what they need to and past that it's a more, may God have mercy on your soul? Or aren't as good as claimed to be.
Anyway. Sticking to the most basic of answers. I'm following her as of late and for fairly obvious and already stated reasons. So it's up to her what the next step is in this debacle."

Thoughts were shoved aside when the voices of the two pulled her back to reality.
Right. To focus on their existing locality...
...
...
"Err, yeah. I say that we hang around the outer areas a bit longer for now. I still have some exploration to do around here."

Shifting her gaze back to the woman in front of her, she enquired: "So then. What do we call you? Assuming you have a name."

Cody let out a sigh of disapproval as Lull casually let orders flow out of his mouth. "You like to be in control don't you?" Without warning he grabbed lull by the waist and slung him over his left shoulder. "Don't worry "Hero". We'll be done in less than three days." He walked to the edge of the roof then stepped off.

Cody bent his knees upon impact to the ground in an effort to help absorb the shock. He set Lull down. "Tell me more about this woman. Is she your lover?" Cody walked ahead with long strides of his legs.

::Caution::

The ground around the group of three was littered with mounds of dirt and soft spots. It was as if a large gofer had been digging around. There were also scorched bones of creatures both small and large. The smell of fresh charcoal filled the air as nearby vegetation was burnt as well.

A mound of dirt behind Charlotte shifted slightly during the course of the conversation she was having with the other two. A baseball sized hole had been made in it. When she finished examining the bag inside the hole began to glow orange then a fiery sticky liquid, like napalm, spewed out towards the black haired woman.

Axeykins Axeykins MahoganyLeaf MahoganyLeaf Pai Chan Pai Chan

Three days, that was doable. Lull could survive three days with no liquid, surely. What had he seen those survival programmes saying, drink your own piss? Lull had shrugged at that advice then. But then again, he'd shrugged at Ema's advice to take some water with him... and Lull shrugged now. He'd do what he had to, he just had to be aware of whether or not to kiss Lois upon finding her.

Then Cody picked him up. So surprised was Lull at this sudden physical contact - contact that happened so suddenly Lull's brain had buffered upon seeing Cody's shape move - that he almost dropped the glow stick. Almost. Fortunately, in his slight panic, his hand tensed, and the glowing rod was caught by his fingers.

He couldn't make a noise as his stomach met Cody's shoulder, and all Lull could think was, "I'm too heavy, surely."

But he wasn't too heavy, and he was set down on the ground again. Upon being released, Lull didn't move away, didn't attempt to straighten his clothes, he just stared at the hulk in front of him. What was the man made of, that he could carry Lull of all people effortlessly? Not even a grunt.

This guy was something else.

Lull decided to take the demonstration of strength as something more than a simple action. Cody was demonstrating his control. And his strength.

Lull couldn't fight against that. For one thing, Lull couldn't fight full stop. He had the usual Fight or Flight reflex (god knows that had come in handy once) and his weight added work to any swing he took, but technique and defence was out of his league. He bet that, if he was to even try a quick strike to Cody's inner elbow - the action of which would force Cody's arm into a reflex that would make him drop the gun - he'd be struck three times as hard to the head.

Best to tread... carefully. Lightly. And Lull could do that. God knows he'd learned to sneak, even if he had never learned to strike. Cody began walking, and Lull fell into step in his peripheral vision, head down, eyes directing his sixth sense.

"Sh... she's not... my lover... why would you assume that? Come on. She's not my lover, you're an idiot. She's... she's my sister," he snapped his head to Cody. "I'd never try to find a lover if he went missing in this damned crater. Idiot got himself in, idiot can get himself out."

Cody had made the observation that Lull liked being in control, and he'd only just realised what the man had meant. Never before had he seen himself in such a way, unless it came to Lois. In his mind, he was subservient by nature; after all, hadn't he literally been a servant until a few days ago?

Lull's foot struck against a stone in the gloom, and the corners of his mouth rose a little as it catapulted ahead, striking off something close by. Best not walk into anything again... so he held the glow stick a little higher.

Jeda Teq Jeda Teq

"It's a simple deduction." Ever vigilant Cody would look back over his shoulder every fifth or sixth step. His weapon moved with his sight. "In my experience there are four reasons why someone would come to a dangerous place for another. They're looking for their lover or family member. Those two reasons have love in them. The other two are more seedy. She could be your slave. Or you could be hired to retrieve her..." he cut himself off mid sentence and motioned for Lull to get down. Cody pressed against the crumbling wall of a building and peeked around the corner.

Lull could feel the pulses of two large animals. One was giving off the feeling of constant lightning.

Cody saw a very large lizard at least four feet tall and at least twice as long. It was squared up with with something that Cody's eyes could not see. It did give off a subtle shimmer from time to time.

The large man pulled his head back behind the wall and looked to Lull, "Be quiet. There's an agitated zamantria. Maybe we can sneak by it. If you get shocked by that it's game over." He got on the ground and carefully began to crawl past the ally.

0stinato 0stinato

Slave? Why would anyone rescue their slave? Pointless thing to do, Lull thought. God, save the slave... no, just buy another one. Pointless.

Two pinpoints of pulses grew rapidly, and Lull did as instructed, dropping to his knees with his back pressed against a surface. What was the surface? By the light of the glowstick, it was breeze blocks. Lull caught his breath and wondered if the...zamantria? could see light. Probably could. No way to turn off the glowstick, though. How was he supposed to hide this? Eat it? Shove it up his arse?

He'd shove it up Cody's, the bastard.

In fact, where was Cody? He'd warned Lull to not get shocked ("No shit, you bugger, perhaps I won't go near the things that might kill me, great plan.) and... crawled away.

He'd crawled away. Lull took slow breaths... and slowed his heartbeat as a result. If the two moving lizards were anything like him, they'd sense movement. Movement of anything... even the heart. He also didn't think that crawling would be any good either, as much as Cody was up for it. Cody was more knowledgeable down here, but Lull's confidence (or lack thereof) was screaming not to even try it, you fat bastard.

He had to do something to allow himself to move. It was true that at least one of them seemed to be preoccupied with something, but given the fact it was moving often and erratically, Lull didn't doubt it'd gladly turn tail and charge at anything that moved at this point.

Would it go for Cody? Ah, but Cody had a gun.

Lull reckoned now would be the right time for Cody to use that gun. A bullet or two to the brain, perhaps one in the heart... from Lull's experience on the barrel-end of the gun, he was fairly sure Cody's hands were steady and practiced enough.

It was no use. He'd have to follow Cody. There was literally no other choice. He could toss the glowstick but the action of that alone might draw attention to him.

He drew a deep breath, slowly secured the glowstick beneath his breasts in his bra to minimise the light it gave off, held that breath, and began moving level and slow. Lull knew how to move without making a noise; never move your body, let your legs absorb every step, and have your foot meet the ground at an angle, and leave it straight. He wasn't confident enough to crawl, so he had to make do with keeping low, keeping very low, until his back was aching. He was going to follow Cody's smaller impulses. And if the zamantria turned to him... he'd run.

Jeda Teq Jeda Teq

Once Cody made his way past the ally he stood up. He didn't bother to dust himself off from the dirt and rocks that scrapped across his body. In fact he didn't feel the sharp edges of the rocks at all. This was thanks to his tough exoskeleton that replaced the majority of his skin.

The Zamantria snapped and hissed at what appeared to be nothing. With its back to the wall it turned its head erratically in search of an invisible creature. As Lull crept by the ally the smell of panic entered the large lizard's nose. The ankle of Lull's pants leg was stained with a clear liquid laced with an alerting pheromone sprayed on him by the young Zamantria's. The Lizards eyes locked onto the chubby man and with a loud pop of electricity between the fins on its back it began to quickly charge at him.

"Just, lead the way when you're ready. I'll follow as best as I can." He let out a hefty sigh. Taking the opportunity to take a good look around the area as the two women conversed. Didn't exactly ease his mind. This place was odd, least compared to the rest of the rubble he'd seen. Ground was softer than the rest of the surrounding area, filled with mounds and....bones. Were there other living things down here or were those left over from the incident?

Sisceal's eyes suddenly widened. One of the mounds in the ground seemed to open up and glow. Not long after a glowing ball of something shot out. Directly at the strange women they had only just stumbled across. "Shit..." He had to do something fast. "H-HEY! WATCH OUT!" Tucking the flashlight into his belt loop and praying his spinal cybernetics would compensate he lunged towards the women to tackled her out of the way.

Charlotte was still somewhat distracted with the environment around her and was about to answer the question she was asked when the man of the group suddenly let out an outburst and had her to the ground before she could react. The woman was about to lose it when she saw something fly through the air that was where she was moments ago. It hit the ground with sizzle and Charlotte redirected her anger towards where the projectile came from. There was a hole where it looked like the liquid came from and Charlotte trained her weapon on it looking for any signs of movement.

"I think we found the cause of the abrupt change in scenery." The girl stood helping Sisceal up with her all the while not taking her weapon off of the hole. "It is something underground so keep your eyes peeled for any movement. Walk steady in the direction we were going. Hopefully, we can get out of this place without anymore surprises. If you see something yell. Communication is paramount."

The situation wasn't ideal, and Lull knew that. He straightened his back. Two questions entered his mind:

"Could Cody shoot the thing before it hits me?" he wondered. He doubted any shot would kill it. And thus came the second question.

"Would Ema come looking for me?"

He couldn't run, no way could he run. He was in no shape to run, plus he didn't want to. This huge thing was coming at him, and all he could do was blink. The heartbeat in his chest tried to speed up with adrenaline, but Lull wasn't about to do anything. Fighting was impossible, running was futile. He could run past Cody, perhaps, but the Zamantria was aiming for him, not for Cody.

There had to be a reason for that. Lull didn't know what it was.

The zaps he felt in his mind, almost reverberating against his skull, made the world shine a bright blue. He saw those horns, the electricity, most of everything that was coming towards him. He saw the Zamantria's mouth.

Imagine what Ema would say if she did come looking for him, and found him, dead. Imagine. "You should have taken the rifle, you idiot," she'd say. So what if he had? He'd be dead anyway whether he had it or not.

So he straightened his back. The second lot of shape in his mind wasn't about to harm him... not that it mattered. The Zamantria was. Harm and kill, for certain. He blinked.

Lois didn't enter his thoughts at all.

When the goo hit the ground small flames jumped up and quickly died down. The suspect that shot the liquid exposed itself from the bound and quickly burrowed into the ground again. Its silhouette resembled that of a mole, a very large mole; the darkness made it hard to tell exactly what it was.
The ground budged upwards as the creature made its way through previously dug tunnels to get to another pre-made mound of dirt. Poking its pointy nose out it prepared another attack.

Cody glanced back to check on the civilian who was behind him. To the soldier's dismay the zamantria was lunging out of the ally directly at Lull. Without a thought Cody raised his weapon and squeezed the trigger twice. Two bursts of bullets pelted the large lizard on the side of its head and neck.

The surprise attack made the beast throw its head up, saving Lull the pain of a terrible bite from a fearsome maw. Its large body still rammed into the man who seemed to be paralyzed by fear. With Lull pinned under his massive body, The zamantria opened its mouth to bite at the man once again. Just before the beast mouth snapped closed Cody began to pull the trigger again. This time not letting up.

The situation was not ideal but still something Cody could handle. This civilian would allow him to gain the trust of the woman who was confirmed to be down here; he could not allow him to die. The barrage of bullets made the lizard back off of the man.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING? RUN!" Cody shouted. The sound of his voice was followed by the click of his gun. He immediately released the magazine and reached for another. With the agility of a large cat, the zamantria used the small gap of time it took Cody to reload as an opportunity to attack. Before Cody realized it he was in a wrestling match with the lizard.

"GET TO SAFETY, THAT'S AN ORDER!" Cody shouted to Lull as he slammed his fist into the beasts ribs repeatedly.

0stinato 0stinato

"Run!" was the order. Yes, again. Lull had to run.

So he did. A couple of stumbles saw him out of the way as the zamantria reared to Cody. But Lull ran.

With the pain of the zamantria's weight, the numbness faded and his mind slowly came back to the here and now, to reality, to permanence, and his short-term memory served him better when equipped with adrenaline. Three shapes were behind him and leaving rapidly: Cody, the zamantria, the other thing that Lull supposed was also a zamantria.

Two zamantria versus some bastard with a gun. Cody had only shot the one so far. The least Lull could do was remind him there was another, if Cody was insisting on saving Lull's life.

"Don't let the other one kill you," he shouted. Did that shout draw attention to himself? Probably. Probably probably. Too late now. His throat hurt. Why did Cody save him anyway? The guy was happy to shoot him in the neck a few minutes ago.

Lull slowed - out of necessity, his body refused to continue and had given him a cramp in his calf - and tried to keep his breathing to a minimum noise level as he recovered. He cursed a few times at the calf pain, but forced his mind back to Lois. If he could only find her... find her, then what? How would he get out, exactly?

He'd need Cody for that, he reckoned. He also reckoned there as no downside to sticking with Cody; even if he was arrested for wandering in the crater, at least Lois would be somewhere he knew was safe. Even if she was arrested, he'd believe she was safe. In fact, if they were both arrested, Lull believed he might just be able to swing it so he'd be put in a women's prison... the genetics don't lie, after all.

"Dammit, Ema, you should've given me a flare gun or something... shit... then you'd just have to get to me before the authorities did..." he rubbed his calf. "You should've done this instead of me, stupid woman... at least you can run..."

He trailed off as his fingers met something cold. He couldn't tell what it was, not even by smelling it. But he knew it couldn't be anything good. He didn't have a lot of time either, so he elected for tearing that bit of his trousers off. Strong hands, adept at tearing bandages out of clothes, hardly struggled. He wiped his hands on the discarded piece of cloth and, with his only protection to his ankle now being his boot, he felt just a little more vulnerable.

He knew it was far too dangerous to move around without Cody. And Cody would probably find him. Lull just supposed he might as well stay where he was... and run off again if anything came his way.

Jeda Teq Jeda Teq
(Two things: 1) Lull thinks the invisible thing is a zamantria, I know it isn't. 2) I'M ACTUALLY BACK PROPERLY NOW SORRY SORRY)

"You're welcome." He groaned. Even with help getting back up was a great strain. His legs felt heavy and numb as his cybernetics worked overtime to readjust. Pulling his spine back together and back into proper alignment and stability. "I'll try but it came out of nowhere real fast." Pulling out his pistol he moved it from mound to mound around them. On high alert for any signs of movement as they moved onward. He had a horrible feeling in the pit of his stomach that this was only a precursor of what was to come in this Hellhole. Yet, still foolishly praying that whatever this was was the worst possible thing they could encounter.
"Yeah, lets move out of this area as quickly as possible. Don't know what that is but I am entirely sure that none of us wish to figure it out."

Ennis didn't get a single answer for her question when the woman got pushed out of the way in time by Sisceal. A chivalrous deed he performed by saving their acquainted partner from receiving a probable terrible burn from- what was it? A spray of glowing hot liquid- or something of resemblance to napalm to her guess. A higly incendiary flammable jelly-like liquid, or whichever terms to describe it with. She definitely read about it before. Fascinating stuff. Whatsoever.
Their main focus now should be to get outta here while no harm has afflicted them yet. Change of plans, her guts gave her several alarming feelings simultaneously. No need to proceed with their stay now she concluded. Wouldn't risk anyone's safety. Not now, not ever.

But to her wonder- what did the liquid originate from exactly..Something underneath them... Something, something- alive?

Rumors told her about unspecified monsters hiding down deep in the dark. It wouldn't surprise her if the source of disruption was generated from some monstrous underground being. Perhaps like a mole. Or whatever the hell it could look like.

Brows pressed together and with annoying tickly sweat slipping down her forehead. Her only response to them as the two expressed their thoughts and concerns, was more or less a half-assed reply of "Mnnm.."
With the gun gripped tightly and supported by both hands- it's tip was pointed slightly downwards, aimed at the grounds, waving around as Ennis' eyes fluttered around the area- fixated specifically upon the mounds of the earth.

A mound of dirt approximately five away from Ennis began to shuffle. Another baseball sized hole began to glow once more. It was aimed at Sisceal. Another spray of napalm shot out of the hole. The bright orange gel emitted an unwelcome temperature. The shot disrupted the dirt around it exposing the nose the very tip of the creatures nose. It was only visible for a second before the dim glow of the napalm left on its face faded.

Cody continued to struggle with the Zamantria that had him pinned down. He had heard horror stories of the scientist/doctor Cruxious creating ungodly creatures while he was under the payroll of Monarch industries before it the Headquarters blew up and the company went under, but to think they had been breeding down here for all these years. It was truly a nightmare. Lulls words had not reached Cody's ears. The hissing and growling of the lizard combined with the noise of the scuffle drowned it out.

The massive lizard opened it's fourway mouth again in an attempt to bite down on the PB Elite Proxy. At that moment Cody shoved his boot in the Zamantira's mouth under its tongue, wIth his left foot he held open the creatures right jaw flap, and with his right arm he held the beast's upper mouth; his strength modifications allowed him to be able to keep the zamantira's mouth from closing on him. He reached for his gun with his left hand, but he was being slide across the ground as the beast moved forward trying to bite down.

While fought the Zamantria the other creature, invisible, recovered from the massive shock it had received. With Cody as a distraction it felt it was best to find prey elsewhere. It ran out of the ally and turned to see Lull in the distance. With a very light 'tit tit tit, tit tit tit' it ran towards a meal. Lull could feel it coming and only see an occasional glimmer of its camouflage. There was nowhere to escape and the creature was too fast to run from. Lull was surely doomed when the creature made a lunge for the kill.

In that moment a panther like growl turned into a whine and struggle for air. An eerily slender and tall figure with large shoulders and an extremely slim torso had came from what appeared to be nowhere. A true deus ex machina. It held the creature off the ground by its neck with one arm. The invisible thing struggled. The signs were evident, the sound of claw scraping against metal and its constant whines were proof. In a second the struggle to escape stopped as the figure crushed the creatures larynx. The invisible creature hit the ground with a thud as it was released.

The figure wore a tattered cloak and its features were indiscernible in the dark. It turned around to face Lull. It stretched out the same hand used to kill the beat towards the chubby man. Without a word it placed his large hand firmly on Luls chest where the light of the glow stick dimly shined through his chist. "...Ah!..." Its hand rose to Lulls cheek and caressed it. "...Beautiful..." Its voice sounded forced through metal and flesh. Similar to Lucid when his voice box malfunctioned at a concert over ten years prior.

I am getting back into the swing of RPing however, so I will be posting more often as I'm getting inspired once again)

I’m around. I’m not sure if another monster post was gonna happen or if my group can just continue forward. I haven’t done a monster format before where the danger pops in and out.
(I believed I've said it before, but this is my first time being a sort of GM. I'll let you know when your characters are in the clear or have bested an encounter.)

Lull believed he was at the point where nothing else could surprise him. From running hither and thither to having another beast launch itself at him - when he was truly out of breath this time - possibly ready to rend his body limb from limb, his form, so deflated from the underlying constancy of stress and the shock of adrenaline, couldn't even manage a noise. Indeed, the following occurrences - a bipedal figure clutching the beast in mid-air, before turning, touching his chest (this instance being where he wished he had a man's chest, instead of a woman's) and then his face, calling him, ironically, "beautiful," - roused only a blink out of him.

What else was he supposed to do? His psyche was getting increasingly agitated.

There were two things he'd wished he'd done before getting out of that damn car earlier. Firstly, he'd wished they'd slept until it was daytime, for God's sake. Secondly, he wished they'd arranged a distress beacon of some sort, because heaven knew he'd smash that at this point.

But they hadn't. They'd agreed that this was a quest with death in store. And death, mortality, inevitability, sure-fire death was something Lull had no problem with. Ema had pretended she wasn't upset, absurdly enough. Lull had accepted it easily.

But the stress! That was enough to have him wish he had a beacon!

He raised his eyes to the electric pulses in his mind's eye. "Kill me now," he said, sounding as if it was life that was strenuous and threatening, "or save the guy who knows where my sister is. He's over there."

He pointed. In his mind's eye, Cody slithered along the ground, not of his own accord.

Not waiting for this bipedal stranger to do anything, Lull stepped backwards away from him, and reached to remove one one of one of his boots. He fumbled with it, reaching for the laces, and began to swing it until it arced repetitively over him. He didn't waste time - fearing he might collapse from vertigo - and flung his boot, its momentum set to carry it towards the bright zamantria's impulses from the fins behind its head.

The mysterious figure raised the its thin arms towards Lull's neck. "...not...fun..." It struggled to say ins response to Lull's request. It took a step forward to maintain the closeness it had with the man, barely moving aside to avoid the shoe. "...futile...resist...lo...lo...love you."

Lull's shoe tumbled through the air and with a stroke of luck thumped the Zamtria in the eye. The sudden impact caused the beat to reel back. Shaking its head it would blink several times before turning its attention to the direction it came from. It hissed, bearing its metal fangs that arced electricity between them then began to charge towards Lull and the mysterious figure.

Cody instantly sprang to his feet and ran towards the civilian. Picking up his rifle in route. The lizard was several feet ahead of him. He couldn't shoot for the off chance that a stray bullet would hit the person he was currently escorting.

The creature's arms moved to hug Lull, but it suddenly lurched forward with a bright spark emitting from its back. The Zamantria had jumped on top of the creature. The massive beast knocked the thing down and proceeded to bite and shock it.

The creature knocked the lizard off of it, almost as if it were not phased by the electricity that surged through its body. The beast and the creature began to fight each other. The Zamantria avoided the creature's attacks like a nimble cat. Only to move in for a bite or slash with its claws.

Cody ran up to Lull and took his hand. "What are you doing, MOVE!" He said as he pulled the man into action.

He wasn't near fast enough to avoid this one aimed directly at him properly. Nor did he see it in time. The bright flash of it screwed with his sensors. Sending them into a frenzy as they struggled to adjust from the pitch black of their surroundings to near bright as day as the bright ball of whatever the hell it was nicked his shirt. Rather than some simple flame as he expected this stuff stuck too him. It felt heavy like some sort of slime at first, then he felt the burning. Oh god how he felt the burning.

Letting out a loud scream he immediately attempted to brush off the flames like anyone would do in such a situation, but oh how bad of an idea that was. It only seemed to make them spread further and even some onto his hands. None of his other injuries mattered anymore as the poor man desperately tried to get rid of the burning in one of the most frantic and fear filled flaming strip teases of his life. Running off deeper into the darkness of the abyss around them in reckless abandon.
