"-it!" Nayacel finished crying out as she appeared, eyes squeezed shut and pink haired angel wrapped in her arms. It had all happened so fast. Aria had just taken her hand when some kind of sigil appeared under the both of them. There had been no time to push her friend out, the circle being to wide, so Naya had pulled her in and tried to protect her from whatever had been about to happen.

After a moment of nothing Naya opened her eyes and found the two of them in an unknown place surrounded by unknown people. Her immediate reaction was to pull Aria behind her, putting her own body between her friend and the others. "What the hells is going on" She growled protectively.

The Innominate
Astrid Gunnarson
Key of Sikuvik
Convenience Store

Mentions: Other keys
Far from the clocktower, Astrid had no idea what she was getting into. She was still adjusting to what was already an uncomfortable position. From the convenience store, the agency sent her a taxi that she could take to the museum for her shoot. She pretty much finished her sandwich by the time he came, and she rushed over with nothing but her purse, phone, and water bottle that she bought. Double parked across the street, the taxi waited for her to get inside before it departed.

During the journey, she used this time to ponder her home sickness and missed was honestly hoping that something would happen to her and that would make her journey more pleasant. The journey to the clocktower was a bit of a trip. On the drive she put on her wireless headphones, listebting to music that reminded her of home. She was listening to Blatt Jartharber, a punk band who had a pretty large following back in Sikuvik. As her headphones blared, she eyed the skyline as the taxi was getting ever closer to their destination. She definitely admired the capital in all its design. How the modern skyscrapers clashed with some of the older buildings.

Something was off though.

The taxi decelerated, and eventually found itself in gridlock. Astrid pulled off her headphones as the driver clicked his tongue in frustration. Nothing either of them could do, but what was weird was that Astrid didnโ€™t get a text informing her of the delay. If traffic was going to be as bad as this, the agency wouldโ€™ve have let her know prior so that they could push the shoot to a later time. But that wasnโ€™t the case.

Astrid lowered the car window to get a better idea of what was going on.

Smoke was billowing out of the skyline.

Sirens started harrowing from behind with horns honking to urge some type of movement. Some cars were able to maneuver to let the responders through. A few ambulances and patrol cars had struggled to make their way through the endless sea of cars to get to the scene. Astrid herself stepped out the taxi to get a better idea of what was happening as others seemed to be doing the same.

The taxi driver urged her to stay inside but her curiosity got the better of her as she stepped out the vehicle. She then got a better view of the carnage, buildings crumbling and falling debris could be heard from where she was with people screaming at what they were seeing. Responders were trying to force their way through, they went on their loudspeakers to urge everyone to remain in their vehicles and make a path. Astridโ€™s driver was urging her to do the same but then, light.

Almost as if out of nowhere, she could feel a sharp migraine. Her breath shortened and she put out her arms to see if this was all happening and it was. She then felt blinded as the light intensified and she almost screamed before she was no longer on a congested street.

She breaths heavy and panics as she looks around and is surrounded by strangers. Astrid was in a state of shock not knowing what words to usher or what to say to the people around her, she instead looked around aimlessly, waiting for someone to give an explanation as to what the hell was going on.

Impera
Key of Imperia
Interactions: Khepri, Su
Attire: เผ„ เผ„

Darting through a forest, the ancient Naga had no premonition as to which direction he was headed. He had been left nothing let alone a compass. All that mattered was that the metallic beasts. Whether they ran on wheels or flew, he had mysteriously evaded their relentless chase. Unbeknownst to the clueless and oddly vulnerable man. The world he had awoken to was so strange it was hard for him to trust that it was the one he had roamed. To return to Imperia was the main goal, however finding the place, he worried what may be there when he found his way home. He prayed that Imperia remained unchanged. And somewhat, It had been capsuled in time. Of course, Impera would struggle to understand the world's advancements and all its modern inventions, but Imperia would surely be far more familiar by how dated it was compared to the rest of the world. And completely separate in the sense that for the longest time it had kept it's borders shut tight. And so it was most definitely a shock to find anyone of Imperian origin in Celeste or anywhere for that matter. Not to mention the supernatural battle swarming all over social media. Ignorance might very well be bliss.

Travelers are able to use the old rails that take trains from the glorious Vivamous to the majestic sands of Zaharia. Yet not a soul was to cross the other side of the tracks. All but the few government figures who were approved for international business. The Imperian government had in fact been a hot topic amongst many world leaders, especially those of Divine. The news stations across the world have been buzzing for months over the speculations of Divinese spies peeking a little too closely to the southeastern seas. Despite all the dangers that Gasheel placed on sailors alike. But a beautiful secret Imperia was, kept by an ironically warm and welcoming culture. The people and their suspicious government had certainly raised eyebrows nearly ever since the fall of their legendary rulers. And to what raised even more of a stir were the facts of the land itself. Food and water had always been scarce since the times of Kronin stripping it all down for riches exchanged in trade. How were the people able to sustain life? It was a interesting question to any who cared. The Imperians were practically prisoners', forced to stay, even if they were starving. Yet for many, it was completely out of the question to even think of escaping. Imperia was their home, all they ever knew, and this harsh existence was nothing other than normal. As if it couldn't get worse, Imperians were often told that their presence wasn't wanted by the national court. Barely considered a real country.

But no matter what the world had to say, no matter if it was today or a thousand years ago, Impera's loyalty to his land never left. He would return, reclaim his people, and rise it to the very top of the food chain. Imperia would prosper. He was bound and determined to find his way home, no matter how long it would take. And so in the midst of his pursue, Impera spotted something looming in the sky. He chased it, preparing to take yet another metallic beast to the depths of hell, but as soon as he entered a clearing within the woods, he managed to capture a clearer image. In that moment his soul felt stunted, having to catch up to his halted body. His shoulders stiffened and his skin became overthrown by an icy chill. The green glowing light that emanated from the corners of his orbs suddenly vanished as his gaze became lighter and his figure softened its stance. He almost slithered backwards in a trembling fright of the sight before him. Yet Impera was so overcome, breath taken, and bewildered, he froze in place as his jaw hang loose. He all but ignored the other figure for the face of the flying sphinx caught and pinned him like a prized insect to be displayed. In all his long life, there was only one he ever knew to be her race. Though that fact was the least shocking. As her face and entire form imitated the one he loved and lost. Tears silently fell down his face as he couldn't look away from the specter before him. He knew this must have been a phantom, The ghost of her hadn't haunted him and so never in that time beneath the tower had he ever imagined that his mind could crack through the realms.

Thy not real...

"Thy not real!"

Impera couldn't handle what he was seeing. His head shook as a painful melancholic shadow took overtook him while his teeth clenched, repeating those words over and over in his mind. Impera wanted so desperately to turn his gaze yet his beloved's imposter had him dazed and feeling both illness and heaven.

"Why must thy image torture mine soul?" Impera muttered beneath that of a whisper. His voice sounded like that of shattered stained glass that had once been placed so carefully into a window frame so long ago. But he would not receive a single answer as the phantom vanished right before his troubled eyes, for a while he'd remain too stunned to move, barely breathing from the disbelief of such a horrible and lovely hallucination.. Finally, when the ghost had freed him of his trance, the Naga lost the strength to stand. His weakened hands grasped at the grass and his clawlike nails dug into the soil. There he was left to break, crumbling just like the buildings he destroyed. He would lay in that spot for the longest time, pathetic, and sobbing like the innocent child he once was. "Zahara, forgiveth me for i has't failed to protect you..." The cruelness of this cold world never relented in proving itself again. "Yet..." A fire soon became reignited beneath his heart as he crawled back up to stand. "...I shall seek revenge."

Startled by the flash of light, Aria had let out a single screech, closing her eyes as if bracing for the impact of something painful, thinking her conscious had become stunted within the presence of a gun-type uranium bomb! That time and her psyche stood still, a pause in existence, as she had yet to feel the blow and sharp quick pain of death or... no pain at all. She had only imagined such a death would be so quick you were dead before you could feel it, but all she felt was Naya's protective arms. Was this it? Had they reached the sanctuary and salvation Divine's religion had spoken of? Or were they damned for a most torturous afterlife? Aria saw her current life flash before her eyes. Hundreds of moments - all at once. Her childhood. Playing through the Palace De'Ivy, sitting and swinging her legs while in her mother and father's thrones, picking flowers she wasn't supposed to in the gardens, being dressed up like a doll and paraded to her people. Adolescence. Sneaking off, trips to the island with father, finding love in artillery, watching the wild pegasi fly, and nearly being slaughtered by a bear if not for Ursa. Present. Traveling the world, finding her own forms of freedom, and ignoring the pressures only bestowed to a future queen. For just a breath, Aria thought it was all over and that her future would never get to be. A whole country would weep in the loss of their so called 'Goddess' Princess and the flora that laid upon her marble coffin would be white and gold. As she imagined her parents sorrow, tears welled up in the Angel's own eyes, "I don't want to die!"

But quick to her surprise when her lids would flutter open within her gust of emotion, Aria realized her heart was still beating. And the beating would only fasten as she began to quiver, Not even automatically reaching back for the glock in her bag. She first merely clung to Naya, eyes seemingly bigger than they already were. Had they just been abducted by Aliens or something? That might have been her first thought as she would hardly notice the others around them, instead landing straight on the shorter dark-haired avian and the taller lighter-haired angel beside him. Is this a conspiracy set up by those with loyalty to Vallen?? Do they want to harm me?? Take over Divine?? The scared look on her face would be quick to switch into fury as the spoiled girl would demand answers. "What is this?? What have you done to Ursa??!" She almost stumbled, though her shoes felt stuck whilst she glared now from behind Naya's shoulder. Aria had finally reached back for her hand to slide into a pocket that may have been a little too easily accessible, but her hand just stayed there idle, but she was all too trigger happy if she did not get an answer soon. "Answer, you peasants!-"

But as the black-winged forestdweller began to speak, Aria shut her mouth as she couldn't help wanting to listen to her kidnapper. This was just ridiculous, The things he spoke of sounded like absolute nonsense yet her ears took in every syllable. The tiny angel grumbled quietly as she had every urge to run up and punch the daylights out of both of them.

Within such an intense white light, both Cier and Cassian - the first thing their special eyes could detect were the unique soul orbs that bobbed like balls of spirit flames before their full outline and shapes would emerge. Each had it's own distinct hue. Within this split moment of time, Cier's heart would rattle as he counted them in his mind. Meanwhile every hair and feather on his body would rise in his anxiety. Of all the keys, he had most faith in Raine, but for some reason when all had been said and Impera's imprisonment had been done, her soul had simply vanished. And so after decades of searching to no avail, this ritual was his only hope in finally finding her. But such a spell could only have been used once.. and only when the time was nigh.

One...

Two...

Three..

Four...

Five...

Six...

Seven...

...

Eight.

The avian could feel his heart having sank through his feet. Raine's soul had failed to appear. Cier already knew it long ago, but clearly something was wrong. Cassian most likely felt the uncertainty that radiated off him like a dark omen. Truly, Cier worried that the others wouldn't have the guts or care to aid them in their otherworldly plight. A desperate feeling Cier loathed. But even still, if Raine were here, Cier had to realize that even she may very well not take this anymore seriously than the rest. Time and reincarnation can change any soul almost entirely - or not at all. It was simply something dependent on so many factors it was just impossible for one to dictate ahead. Would they listen? Or would they turn a blind eye to the memories and power that were about to flood their nervous systems? Cier could only take a deep breath and the light would burst into nothing but tiny glittering sparkles of energy, fluttering down like bubbles when they come to pop against the floor.

Soon enough panic and confusion rushed in with questions hurled towards the two hosts. Cier knew this wasn't going to be easy, but he knew best to keep his posture and carry himself with more patience than he typically had for others. The artifacts were ready whether the keys were ready or not. "Don't be afraid." He spoke with upmost seriousness as his eyes traveled across the room to each and every individual. A few he had met in the past, some he had already knew of in the present, and others who remained a mystery. Behind those tired crimson eyes was nothing more than an ancient soul wishing if only he could stop this himself. A desperate plea within the dull shine of his irises. If only he were as powerful as the keys, If only he had the power to bring them all together in the first place. Only then would he and Cassian be set free from the cage that was forever the mortal realm. They in actuality were the lucky ones. For the keys could not escape the cycles of death and rebirth.

Raine, wherever you are, give me the strength..

Cier took a pained breath before continuing his speech, "Everyone. Hush and heed my every word..." As if it were possible, his expression would sharped further than it was so naturally. "What many of you had just witnessed was something not from this world. Be in denial for what I am going to say if you must. I can promise it won't make sense. Firstly, my name is Cier, I am the lead Curator here at the Grand Clocktower and this is my assistant, Cassian. We will not harm a hair on your heads, rest assured.." He looked to the other man before back to the crowd. The spell would have them standing, their feet bound to the spot they emerged until the reaper decided to break it. Whether they took him seriously or thought of him as crazy was up to them, but the keys would be unable to flee. "To those who witnessed me in attempt to subdue that beast.. his name is Impera and he's been sealed away under this tower for hundreds of years. I'm sure some of you have learned some mythology in your school days.. but he's real, out there, he's dangerous, and hellbent. And, I hate to bear the bad news, but you all... are demi-gods too and the only ones that can stop him." Cier couldn't help but smirk knowing very well most of them would laugh. In fact if he actually could laugh, Cier would for sure laugh along with them! It was pretty humorous to imagine some of these keys being as powerful as they were. As many were just so unassuming. But it was the truth. Cassian and he could see their souls. They weren't regular mortals.

"Not what you might think from movies and television.. Cassian and I are both reapers," He continued to explain, "We belong to what you may consider 'the spirit realm'. We work for the goddess of death and rebirth. She created your souls.. We can see your souls and 'keys' are what we call them.. to protect the lands here in the 'mortal realm' that you were assigned in order to maintain the harmony Calistrian or Reldstrain - once had. You can die, but your souls are forever immortal. I was tasked hundreds nearly a thousand years ago to collect your souls when Imperia came after your individual lands. I protected your souls for half a century for you all to be reborn into your current identities.. I was supposed to gather you all. I needed all the keys to fight to bring Impera to justice, but because you didn't listen we are here again, right here, right now." Cier knew this was quite a lot of information to process, but he had one trick up his sleeve. "If you don't believe a word I say, simply allow yourselves to touch the relics that we have prepared here.." He shot a glance to Cassian, signaling him to go around the frozen circle to deliver each item to their hands. "after all.. they were yours once upon a time. Only after you look will I break this spell and allow you free movement."

Fae looked around the room and recognized a few people, obviously Su, world renowned musician and singer. Of course he'd be included among this, supernatural menagerie.
And then there was her.
He looked incredulously at the pink haired girl. AKA, Princess Glock.
Seriously out of all the ways she could have given herself away she had to do it in the most spoiled royal way possible?
Peasants?!? Even when Su was there? Ridiculous, and very rude. Fae took it a little too personally since bakers were sometimes stereotyped as poor.
Fae was not poor. Fae had a business. And a PHD in criminology. Well, he didn't exactly have it yet but he saw the list. He was getting it.
He realized something was also missing from the princess

Fae shrugged as Cier explained his ransom demands. It was simple enough, just look these items that were allegedly once his and remember some also alleged
past life memories. Seemed simple enough, he was always looking for an explanation for his, many eccentricities anyway. He turned to see the items.
Before a shiver went up his spine, all of his instincts, all his smarts, every single cell in his body told him not to look at what Cassian had in his hands.
But why?
Fae clenched his hands. He wasn't used to such emotion, He wasn't used to fear. He spoke up.
". . .
And what," He turned to Cier making sure not to look a Cassian. "Will you do. If we don't comply?" He asked. His head tilting in a way that infuriates most people for some reason. He just did it to make himself more comfortable.
"I mean sure, you have us bound in ways that might confuse the human senses. And are possibly vampires. But besides that, what's keeping us here?" Fae also felt that for some reason. He could escape. That maybe he should escape. Better keep that thought tucked away for now.

The first thing Khepri felt as she stirred awake was a dull pain in her mind, a feeling as though something within its depths was clawing its way to the surface. It felt like its sharp nails were embedding themselves into the very flesh of her brain, dragging its heavy weight upwards as the feeling of nausea worsened with its every ascent. As the Sphinx bolted upright, she slapped a hand against her mouth and felt heavy sweat covering her entire form.

Just what the hell happened?

The last thing she could remember was flying with Su towards the Celestian forest, hoping they could take the shortcut to the capital and ensure the safety of his mother. Golden eyes widened at the recollection, anxiousness filling her up and pushing off whatever confusion she felt as she scanned the unfamiliar room.

"Su?" She called out as soon as her eyes found him. "What happened? I can't remember anything..." A pained groan slipped out of her lips as the throbbing sensation reintroduced itself, causing her to clutch her temple while shakily pulling herself back up. With one hand on her best friend's shoulder, she finally gave the room a more thorough scan which left her with even more questions.

First of all, where were they and how did they get there? Second, who were these people? Some of them looked familiar, one of them was even her friend from a foreign land, but just what the heck were they all doing in this ancient-looking room?

"Silva?" Khepri knitted her brows, a single ear perking itself up in confusion. What was her meek gardener friend doing in Celeste? "What's going on? Who are these strangers?" She huffed, casting a suspicious glance at Su as she wondered if this was one of his elaborate pranks. Although judging from the way some of the people in the crowd were excitedly eyeing him, this could simply be his most dramatic meet-and-greet to date. Sadly for him, Khepri might have to draw the line with this one - knocking her out was way above her nonexistent pay grade.

Although... perhaps that wasn't the case as two strange men entered the fray. One of them was a dashing man with long silver hair and striking emerald eyes, poised in opulence as he stood in attention to the command. The other one was a dark-haired male with crimson eyes that seemingly held ancient mysteries, tempting the gnawing beast caged in the depths of her mind to crawl its way up faster.

The winged man looks familiar. Have I met him before? But where? And why do I feel a certain dread while looking at him?

The main subject of her confusion began to speak, his words entering her ears and swirling in her mind like pieces of an abstract puzzle. Everything felt alienish to her until the name Impera slipped out of the stranger's mouth.

Impera...?

Khepri crossed her arms, almost cradling herself as she now focused her gaze on the ground. According to them, he was an evil Naga who has been sealed in the clocktower for the sake of the world. A beast, a villain, a monster... The thought unexplainably left a bitter taste in her mouth. What is this weird feeling? Do I know him?

Some of the people whom she assumed had been also kidnapped began to pipe up. Amidst the chaos, she used the opportunity to try and grab Su's attention before mouthing the words: "We need to get out of here" silently.

"...."

Cassian was silent while Cier explained their situation, as ridiculous as they sounded in times like this. In fairness, if Cassian weas a key in their spot he'd assume he went insane after consuming too many pills. He could only offer an apologetic smile and a small bow toward the keys, casting an emerald gaze toward each in kind. Some he carried a recollection of, in particular the aquamarine star and their clear ally. He held a look onto Khepri for a fraction longer, taking note of their further along state. Perhaps they had a note of recollection before this? He supposed it would make their job easier. Cier made a motion, and Cassian stepped to the side to procure a series of items quietly.

To each he went, smiling softly as he placed an artifact before each of them. "I know there must be a lot going on in your mind at the moment, but i must ask you at least attempt to regard the item before you. It is yours after all. You've more than likely felt a tad...muddled with certain things in this room, i assure you it's normal for what you are. I'm unfamiliar with exact specifics as I'm not you all, but after you interface with your artifact you shouldn't be totally sure that we're crazy. If you have any questions or reasonable requests, i would love to hear them. You're quite safe here."

After all were presented he took one large step back, nodding to the group. "Try to remember. Some of these were rather troubling to get our hands on, so it would be a shame if you didn't remember such important items to you despite the time." Turning to Aria he shook his head slightly. It was a reasonable ask name calling aside, and who could blame them? "You already know the answer to that. Your friend is wherever you both were.....five minutes ago now. We're still in the area; once this is over you're more than welcome to place a call. I'm sure they'll be worried, so it would be good to ease their mind."

"...As for what's keeping you here..."
looking toward the one named Faemer, Cassian shrugged ever so slightly. "...There are one hundred odd men standing by with rifles, as well as a magic spell that will cause you to explode if you leave the premises." He held a blank stare for a few seconds, before smiling and laughing quietly. "I'm joking, of course. I's just us. Arguably more dangerous, but i'm not in the habit of fighting. We're asking for your help, not seeking your subjugation. If hurting you was the design, we wouldn't bother making you remember."
