  • Wanted to let you know that the person in your profile picture's name is Natalie Shau (that particular image is a self portrait) I only know this because I was lucky enough to actually do an email interview with them for a high school project years ago; they are a very talented and beautiful artist.

If you aren't easily intimidated I would suggest joining a hosted roleplay. They're run by very dedicated and serious GM's that have been working on those projects for a long time and already have an active player base.

As for Natalie Shau I believe the original is actually green eyes not blue or red so it's been heavily modified over the years. When I first discovered the image was about... a decade ago. She's done quite a few self portraits but isn't really known for them. I would say her fashion and illustration work (found on that website I linked) are what she's really known for.

yeah, i took a look at that web page and was pleasantly surprised. I've seen a few of her works around before and also saw that she did album covers as well. I even recognized a few of them. I feel bad that I never looked her stuff up sooner but her website seems like it stopped being updated a couple years ago. i'm a big fan of anything with Big Eyes likeness.

the first RP i joined on this site (and the last one to die) was a sponsored RP. I wouldn't mind trying that again. because hosted RPs on this site are similar to the average RPs from the site i came from. So i felt right at home.

Ah that's a damn shame sorry it didn't last longer - that's surprising usually the staff are more critical of RP's that want to go hosted/sponsored. Hope you find one soon.

Yeah I haven't kept up on her as an artist in the past few years so she may just be busy doing something big and has signed a non-disclosure or somethin but idk. No need to feel bad we take things in stride <3
i've joined 3 RPs that have all started about the same time (within a couple of days) and it seems like they've all died out around the exact same time as well. and this isn't something that's just happening every once in a while. It seems to be ongoing and common 'round these parts. So i'm wondering why that is. I'd like to discuss so that if i ever make an RP or look for another one i know what to avoid.

Well yeah. I'm sure you'll find a nice group eventually, though I do also recommend to people that they find a way to cope with the frequent failure rather than counting on it not happening.

You're right about he numbers though. I personally welcome some 20 people at least to the site every day. So lots of new people to test the waters with XD

That's got me curious though, could it be the sites your friend visisted were perhaps older sites?

i don't know when this one was made. but this one probably is older. they said they came from 3 others. writerscafe, roleplaygateway, and writing.com. the last one is where we met and has been around over 18 years but still have a very large and thriving community. the other two sites are kinda dying down. very little traffic. when i checked them out their layout was pretty nice and convenient though. shame
If there are any RPs that need positions filled send me a link and I'll be happy to check them out. Need to do some writing.

Would you be interested in a love triangle rp?

Hailey Hailey Straight up romance is probably my weakest genre. Plus I have zero experience with anything that's a love triangle. but i think that's why having a link to the RP is best because I can't get all the info on an RP with just quick genre throw. I've been trying a lot of new stuff but i need details so i can see if it's anywhere near the comfort zone of mine so I don't butcher it up.

I never realized how many RPs don't even get off the ground. And it's due to their own authors. I've joined around 7 RPs and none of them got off the ground. all of them being because the GM disappears.

Don't your own is usually the way to go. Any RPs I get interested in die so I hardly get interested in RPs.

i haven't had the time to really make my own. I would love to if i had the time. that's why i'm just trying to join others. probably could have made my own in the amount of time i've wasted on these other dead rps though lol

Haha the same way you have no time, I am sure the others that are GM are the same. Just keep that in mind. Also I have seen a correlation with people just wanting to have ocs for that specific plot.
