Ivela Zoldyck

Ivela could tell she was making the brothers uncomfortable. She tended to have that affect on people, after all. She purposely turned her gaze upwards slightly in an attempt to calm them down a bit, perhaps.
"I don't need them to help me. Rules are rules, after all." She said simply. Ivela had lived by a strict set of rules for most of her life, after all. She valued them.
"Besides, it's always better to observe before fighting. Less likely to die that way." She let out a humorless chuckle after saying that.

Sento lowers himself to see the office owned by the head of the mafia. From there he could see him resting on his desk. He appears to be a frail old man, yet he is very active in his work. But he is not alone. Right beside him is his well-trusted henchman. A woman who's face is blackened by her veil and has a shotgun for an arm.

Just then, three people entered the office, and one of them is Cerebella. The other two are a tall-looking robot and a short man that could be Cerebella's superior. And from there on out, the meeting commence.

"Vitale, Ottomo, glad for you two to come here." The head gives the two member a warm welcome. "Lorenzo, what is it that you call us here for?" Vitale asked, and then the boss replied "I just wanted to ask how everything is doing. Yet, we all know that 'man' still has our necks, and I hate him for that." It seems that someone has the mafia up on their backs. "Yes." Ottomo replied "As of now, our activity has gone lesser if it weren't for that Russian son of a bitch. I could kill him right now if I have to!" He seems pretty pissed off. "Calm down, Ottomo." Vitale says "If we do anything against him, remember, he has the launch codes and he will wipe this kingdom off with just a push of a button. The Inner Circle has our backs, but they'll stab us if we stab them."

"But that is not all, Vitale." Lorenzo says "We aren't the only gang that got their necks pointed with knives. White Fang, Faust, Strega, those groups also got their backs watched by the Inner Circle, and they do not play when they mean burning them all down. But enough talk about the Russian, we need to discuss about our group. We are running low on firearms and funds. That guy took half of our supplies and we need to make an idea on how to bring those back." The two high-ranking members began to think for a brief while until Vitale says "We can still rob banks, but I think our currency doesn't suit up in this situation. How about we rob a foreign bank and convert that stolen money into Bones. How's that?"

"Rob a bank from a foreign state? Hmm...what are you thinking of?" Lorenzo asked, and then Vitale replied "There are many cities on the west. We just need time to get to one of them." Lorenzo slouches back as he thinks of the idea, and then he has decided. "Fine, but if you fail, we're done for." Lorenzo says, which makes Vitale and Ottomo happy. "You can count on us, Lorenzo." Vitale says. "Yes, I can count on both of you. You are now dismissed." Lorenzo replied and the two members and Cerebella leave the office.

On the other, Stella, Delta, and Eleanor are discussing whether or not should they follow the bird man. Come on, make up your damn minds!

Sento listened in on the conversation between the three mafia heads, unbeknownst to them that he was listening. However, something that piqued his interest. The organization he founded long ago, Faust. He just couldn't believe it. He thought that Faust ceased all operations the moment Blood Stalk defected to the Namba Corporation...But is it possible that it was rebuilt though? But who else would lead Faust aside from him, Gentoku, and Stalk? He wasn't sure who else would plan on militarising the Rider System but them...Then again, there are bigger mysteries. Who's He? What's the Inner Circle? And why is Faust affiliated to them? He needed to investigate this.

Soon enough, Cerebella, Sento's target from recruiting, soon left the office, going down through the elevator. Sento now knows of a way to convince her since, he IS technically affiliated to Faust. He is Takumi Katsuragi, the Devil's Scientist, founder of Faust...Perhaps he could work something out between them. He began to fly down, thinking of a way to find out where Faust is located. After all, there should be some Smashes roaming around if Faust were here after all but so far...None. Sento made his way back to the rooftop he flew from and landed there, soon removing the bottles as he changed back to his civilian form. He peered down to see when will Cerebella come out.

However, before anything was finalized, the orange and grey thing from earlier flew down in the rooftop, disappearing from sight.

"Ah...It came down." Stella mentioned, seeing as the thing landed on a less tall building's rooftop...

"Of course it is!" Ryuga chuckled, "We even talked to them and all." He said, soon Ruby was shaking in excitement.

"Ohmygosh yes!!" Ruby giggled in fangirl, "Now I'm really excited for the tournament tomorrow!" she hopped for joy, prompting Ryuga to glance at the Dragonbox and shrugged. She's DEFINITELY feeling the hype even more now.

"Well, that aside...You know any good places to eat around town?" Ryuga asked, "We're sorta thinking of eating dinner."

"Well...I guess I can show you two around..." Ruby said as she rubbed her chin. She soon faced the two, hands on her waist. "Alright, I know a cheap place we cab eat at! Follow me!" She said as she ran off, prompting Ryuga to follow suit.

He started to try and struggle against the odd healing object. He no longer was in pain, but he wasn't sure he liked the idea of being restraint. "Miko let me go!" He was determined to fight with his new friend till they got out of this one way or another. Then a thought crossed his mind and he gave devilish smirk. "Well aren't you the dumb one knight," he stated with a laugh, "if you know anything about war at all you know the medics aren't given the full training of battle." He sneered through clenched teeth in a mocking tone. "If you're impressed by its skills, don't you think you're wasting your time with it, because if you are aware then you know that there are beings fare greater out there." He was slightly chuckling as he stood stuck to the ground.

"Deep under the world, they chitter and plan. Watching. Waiting. When they emerge, it is a nightmare vision. The Skaven, a ravenous horde of verminous ratmen. They gnaw at the roots of the world like an infected wound. They mean to rule over ruins, for such is the will of their god, the Great Horned Rat"

The Reach, Skyrim

Queek Headtaker, warlord of Clan Mors, stood atop a decrepit watch tower placed upon a particularly tall hill. It had once been the inhabited by primitive humans, but that was before Queek decided that he wanted it. Now, the area served as his main war camp. For a while now, parties of Skaven were sent throughout this part of Skyrim, clearing out caves, ruins and crypts, all in preparation for in Invasion. For Various reasons, Warlord Gnawdwell had chosen this region as the first target. Its capital was connected to ancient ruins below the city, giving the Skaven an easy way in to the city when the time came. They would need to act quickly to gain a foothold. Spies from Clan Eshin confirmed that other powers were operating in the area, and would most definitely oppose the Skaven. Queek was tasked with securing the country side, destroying any small towns in the area and cutting off all lines of communication. This angered him greatly, as he always wanted to be on the frontlines. Even his task after securing the countryside, marching upon the city of Whiterun, seemed small in comparison to the invasion of Markarth.

"Lord Queek, the War Machines are ready-prepared! We shall Attack-Kill Man-things on your command!" A warlock-engineer, lent to Clan Mors by Clan Skyre, informed him. Queek grinned, or what would probably pass for a grin, upon hearing the news. Now, all we would have to wait for was the Screaming Bell to toll 13 times. That would be the signal for the invasion to commence. "Go-Go! Be ready to March-Move!" The Warlock-Engineer Scurried off, back down to the main camp.

As the sun set, Queek could faintly hear the toll of a bell. Then again, slightly louder this time. and again, this time loud enough that the locals were sure to hear it. By the sixth time, the vibration could be felt in the rocks, and the locals were likely to have serious headaches. By the ninth time, the ground shook, as the sound frenzied the Skaven in the region. By the 11th time, weaker buildings collapsed, and poorly supported mineshafts collapsed. By the 13th toil, hell was unleashed upon the Citizens of the Reach. The both the mines and dwemer ruins of the city, Skaven began to emerge in droves, swarming in quickly to overwhelm the still disoriented populace. All across the reach, large warbands of skaven, typically ranging in the hundreds, attacked mines, camps and homesteads near them, and began taking the road ways. 500 of Queek's Army marched to put the town of Karthwasten to the torch, while the rest of his army, which numbered in the thousands, began to march towards Rorikstead, and then, on to the Whiterun.

Sento looks down and after a long time, the two men and Cerebella finally come out of the building. Ottomo and Vitale parted ways, and Cerebella accompanies the latter. "Cerebella, thank you for escorting me. But for now, we need to split up. I have a game to settle with a few colleagues of mine." Vitale says, and then Cerebella nods as she say "Okay. Well, see you!" The two then parted ways. Time for Sento to have a word with the acrobat.

Skyrim
The Proxy Command Module (PCM) had been alerted almost immediately of the recent intrusion by the new hostile faction of rat-like entities and subsequent invasion of Markarth, to which it wasted no time dubbing them 'Unknown Intruders'. These supercomputers took over commanding Killbot armies while the Commander was preoccupied with other things, and granted the bots a degree of autonomy they lacked before. Cold and calculating machines, they formulated an exact solution to the problem within the span of roughly 6.81 nanoseconds. The solution being the complete mobilsation of the Syndicate troops in Skyrim, and the request of additional reinforcements and ordering the fabrication of units from the numerous factories located on Frostbite Base.

Within a matter of minutes, the Skyrim Detachment had gathered in front of Whiterun to combat the threat. It consisted of some eight hundred troops, a minuscule number compared to the vast armies of the Vortex Syndicate. It was mostly a police force, meant to combat bandits and hostile creatures, and wasn't really meant for direct combat. But it still had a massive number of troops, mainly consisting of Skirmisher general-purpose infantry bots, each one grasping a Pulse-Phased Plasma Rifle (3PR) in the fifty-watt range. Around them were dozens of Ant light tanks, along with several Leveler siege tanks. They were all supported by numerous support units, namely several Mends. Hovering above were two squadrons of Kestrel gunships. All the units were painted the two blues of the Vortex Syndicate.

A police force it may be, but it was still more than enough to quell any hostile opposition on the comparatively primitive province of Skyrim.

In front of the battalion-sized unit was Major A5718, a specialised command unit developed to provide units under its command greater synchronous and and coordination. Tougher, smarter, and stronger than basic infantry, the Majors were more than capable of holding their own in a fight. The Major detected the decently-sized army of Unknowns marching towards the city of Whiterun through his 150x magnification optics and took note of their weapons and equipment, and drew up plans to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal casualties.

"The enemy draws near." He noted in a robotic monotone. The Skirmishers took their positions, hunkering down behind various pieces of cover while the tanks rolled forwards and angled their turrets. A5718 calculated the best distance to begin firing.

The first thing that happened was the barrage of artillery fire from long-range Holkins and shorter-ranged Pelter batteries located on the other side of the province. Plasma shells began to rain down from above, onto the oncoming enemy army.

The Commander shot forwards at full speed, until he came into viewing range of the two Qrows. The two of them had begun to bicker, accusing the other of being an impostor. It was quite hard to tell which one was which. The Commander ran a quick scan of both of them, and found that their readouts registered as human, but Skynet could have created a new model of Infiltrator that could perfectly disguise itself as human to counter his advanced scanning abilities. He was taking no chances.

He adjusted his trajectory and streaked downwards, firing his palm thrusters to slow his descent, before executing a perfect landing in the middle of the road, the tarmac cracking slightly under the impact.

"Hello there." The Commander began, slowly standing up. Once he did, he deployed his weapons, his left repulsor glowing, while his right deployed numerous other weapon systems, namely several missile launchers. Hatches on his shoulders also opened up to reveal a pair of micromissile launchers, while his plasma cannon unfolded and deployed itself over his shoulder. His weapons were locked onto both Qrows.

"Now which one of you is the real Qrow?"

What sort of significance did Nintendo hold in all of this? Was Marie a character from some other universe's Nintendo game? ...She put the existential questions on hold, as Ruby gestured to the two.

"You must not underestimate the enemy, even if he looks weak! Strike quick, hard, and relentless! Do not halt, for the only way to make the enemy surrender is to eradicate their numbers completely!!" He raised his lance as the blades began to shot to the skies, scattering. He soon landed with his shield up, however, a stray Kunai hit his sword arm, causing him to wince. "Defend! Capture! Destroy!" He declared as energy swords began to pour from the sky like rain. "That is the very foundation of war itself!" He yelled at a maniacal tone, showing the effects of fighting on the Galactic War. The countless battles corrupted his mind along with the rise in power...Perhaps this is the reason he was sealed to begin with.

You do not think of other possibilities besides war and death. If you bring death, we will not allow you to take in another breath." Miko was very passionate about protecting the innocent. It halted its movements, having to diverge its attention to Izaya. He used words as weapons, much like someone else it knew that was not Battleborn.

The mushroom shrank away, shrinking and dying at Izaya's feet. "If you stay out here we swear to any gods you may believe that we will be very cross with you!" Miko snapped at Izaya. As the Knight went on about war, it could feel its flesh burning with fury. "To eradicate and destroy is it?" It watched as the Knight threw blades in the air, Miko was growing agitated by the second. "If that is what you stand for then even the sun shall turn its face at what we will do to you." It snarled. Fuck waiting.

Obviously being near the Knight while the blades fell would be the safest bet, so it moved quickly. Both hands full of kunai, the pockets on its arms started to grow and grow until they could not. They opened up and spores released, Miko refusing to wait for his recharge and created another spore sac and threw it. This time just at the Knight's feet. It threw kunai at the Knight's face, anticipating a block with the shield hopefully. If he did block, Miko would jump on the shield and jump in the air using momentum and turn himself around, throwing a knife at the other wing.

If not, his best bet was to dodge to the side of the working wing and throw a knife there. He had trusted Izaya to take cover while the blades rained down.

"I don't need them to help me." The woman coldly replied. She had moved her gaze ever-so-slightly upwards, so that they were no longer fully making eye contact. It was certainly came as a minor relief, and the brothers were able to relax ever so slightly; without a doubt, if looks could kill, Mario and Luigi would be six feet under by now. Despite this, though, it was only a minor reprieve- her mannerisms made the tension in the air thick enough to cut with a knife. Luigi hunched his back slightly and twiddled his thumbs, trying to glance anywhere except the general direction of the woman; perhaps his reaction was a little over-the-top, but you couldn't really blame him- when she entered the room, it felt like the temperature dropped 5 degrees. Mario raised an eyebrow and cautiously moved his arms slightly more upwards.

"Rules are rules, after all." Not even a shrug. It wasn't fair to judge, or to assume, or to make prejudices- but this woman was... hollow. "Besides, it's always better to observe before fighting. Less likely to die that way."

Wait, what?

Both brothers stood there, gobsmacked. They exchanged glances with each other, as if to clarify that they had both just heard the same thing correctly. Their mouths were hanging agape, and they offered a quiet, stifled, short laugh in return, as if not to make the atmosphere even frostier that it already was. Luigi tugged at the collar of his jumper nervously, trying not to let the beads of sweat forming on his forehead become too noticeable. Mario rubbed the back of his head and fiddled with the collar of his gloves. What was her deal? Was she kidding? Maybe she was, as she offered a dry chuckle after finishing her distasteful jest; but even her laugh, somehow, seemed devoid of emotion.

And what's this about death?

The thoughts they were having about serious injury were just nagging doubts; they didn't think the possibility actually existed. Did it? The brothers swivelled their heads back to the gentlemen at the booth, their facial expressions ones of heavy confusion- ones that exclaimed 'what is going on'. The doctor and professor seemed just as baffled as the brothers did- they took a moment before answering their question and the woman's jest.

"Sadly, there is nothing we can do about adding another Team in the roster, but..." Began the doctor, before trailing off. Luckily, his moustachioed colleague picked up from there.

"Allow us to assure you, madam, that no contestant will be seriously harmed nor killed during the tournament." He announced, with astounding conviction. "We swear to it as Professors of Beacon Academy."

Nice to be reassured, for a change!

The mood in the room seemed to switch back to its pleasant atmosphere beforehand, as if the professor had shattered the ice in the air with his mannerism. Luigi was able to breathe a heavy sigh of relief, placing a hand on his chest as he did so. Mario looked back at the professors and nodded appreciatively. These people seemed trustworthy- they seemed respectable. These professors looked like they took this seriously. The brothers respected that.

"Phew! That's-a good to hear!" Mario exclaimed, glancing back between both parties. "No kidding..." Luigi muttered, wiping his forehead with the back of his hand. "Oh, by the way...!" Luigi began, turning back to the professors once more. "When is the tournament starting? Because, ah... we don't exactly have a place to stay."

Rorikstead burned behind them as Queek's army continued to march. So far, he had been thoroughly disappointed in the lack of a true battle. As he approached his next target, he noticed a force had gathered to meet him, one not comprised of the locals, whom he had already deemed pathetic. As he spotted them, artillery began to rain down upon on his force, slaughtering some of his clan-rat warriors. This did not bother him in the slightest, their lives were worthless, as were all Skaven bellow him. "Go-Move! Kill-Kill Metal-things!" He screeched at his frontline, as they begin to madly charge towards the enemy, still frenzied by the bells from earlier. It was comprised of nothing but slaveskaven and clan-rats, pure cannon fodder. He looked to the warlock-engineer. "Have guns fire-shoot. Kill-Kill metal-things!" The warlock-engineer scurried to the backlines, ordering the dozen plague-claw catapults, and dozen warp-lighting cannons, to both halt. Being of Clan Skyre, he was no fool when it came to their own devious creations. He ordered the catapults to fire upon the lines of infantry, while the cannons were to go after the larger targets.

Both types of artillery were incredibly accurate, surprisingly so. The Skaven, although primitive, were master engineers, and their warmachines, while volatile, were without a doubt deadly. The catapults sometimes missed their mark, but the cannons never missed. Several of the infantry units were crushed by the huge rocks that began to rain down upon them, as they left a sickly green miasma in their wake. Meanwhile, the cannons targeted the tanks steaming towards the skaven lines and gunships. Being capable of hitting dragons at full speed, gunships approaching them were not a hard target to hit, nor were tanks. The siege tanks would likely only take minor damage from the powerful, otherwordly artillery, but the lighter units had much to fear from them. For the cannons, warpstone, the catalyst for it, made them far more dangerous than anything of the Skaven's tech level should be able to produce.

Meanwhile, Jezzail units moved to the flanks. While normally, since Jezzails are much like muskets, they would be little threat to armored infantry, the addition of warpstone in replacement to gunpowder made them unbelievably deadly muskets, and very accurate muskets, more akin to modern rifles in that regard. The rifles were so large they required a two rat team to operate, one to load and one to shoot. The shooters were trained to hunt for targets of value with their scopes, and then kill them. The Major unit at the front of the battalion was thus an enticing target, and it soon faced hails of warpstone being launched at very high velocity towards him.

Meanwhile, Eshin Nightrunners began to move around further of flank, making the frontline against the Skaven huge. The elite stormvermin, deadly warpfire-throwers, and rat-ling gun teams moved behind the main force, using the clan rats as meat shields. Right behind the clanrats, menacing and savage rat-ogre beats charged forwards, not even caring what may happen to them. Among the force, several doomwheels began to roll towards the force, their mounted warplightning cannons focusing on one of the siege tank.

Meanwhile, across the reach, more Skaven continued to emerge, bringing with them more warmachines, and more abominations. Markarth was secured, with the population either eaten or forced to work. Armies that participated in the initial attack began to move out, to prepare to attack other parts of Skyrim, as below it, more Skaven tunneled beneath Skyrim, expanding their underground network, and giving them more places to emerge from.

He broke into a sprint towards the farthest tree from him; around 10 meters, as he reached it he ran up the side three steps and grabbed the first branch he could. His hands quickly found purchase and he began pulling himself up the branches. reaching one that could take him standing on it he began climbing a lot quicker, quickly reaching a decent height, around 3 meters of the ground. this gave him a decent view. It was at this moment he noticed the FLOATING FUCKING COLISEUM and freaked a little. But then remembered the fact that he had SEEN A FLYING FUCKING CITY. "DESTINATION YAY!!" he shouted to the world not knowing what it would attract. He hopped from the tree and started heading towards the floating arena. He never noticed the pair of red eyes watching him from the treeline.

Ivela Zoldyck

Ivela noticed the tension in the room. It was odd. Where she was from, she wouldn't have been too out of place. There were far stranger characters than an emotionless girl.
She felt the tension disappear when they were all assured that no one would get hurt or killed. She actually frowned. That sounded incredibly dull.
"Sounds confusing." She said to the two men behind the booth in a flat tone. "How you can guarantee safety in a fight is beyond me. Unless there are millions of restrictions."
She seemed to have made a bad impression on the brothers, so she made an attempt to change that.
She looked at them and offered a friendly smile. While it wasn't a genuine smile, since she sometimes had to blend in for contracts it was fairly convincing. It warmed her expression, at least
"That's a relief! I'm glad I didn't sign up. It doesn't sound like my kind of tournament." Ivela commented. She took a page from her twin brother Illumi's book and spoke in a kind of upbeat, lilting voice. She hoped that it would calm them down. It was so odd that they would be THIS uncomfortable. They must have come from a pretty happy go lucky realm.
"If you need a place to stay there's plenty of hotels around! I could show you to one!" They seemed to be such friendly people. Naive, perhaps. They reminded her of her little brother's best friend. She wasn't fond of them or anything but she was bored and she wouldn't mind helping them out a bit. It'd be a welcome distraction from all the bloodshed that followed her.

Stella watched the rooftop as the orange and grey mechanical thing split it's armor apart, revealing a brown haired man clad in a brown coat. The man merely looked down at the building's entrance as if to wait for someone. He was suspicious, that much is very much clear. Before long, two people came out of the building; a well dressed man and flashy looking woman. The coated man then moved the moment the woman went the other direction. Moments later, the brown coated man began to follow the woman from afar.

"We should follow them." Stella suggested to the father and daughter duo. "That man is feels...Dangerous somehow." She said as she ran off to follow the brown coated man, Sento Kiryu.

'So...How do I introduce myself? Hi! I'm Katauragi Takumi, and I just defected Faust to serve the Princess, would you care to join me?' Sento thought as he walked with his hands in his pocket. 'No, that's stupid. If Faust were to exist here, then it's possible that he heard of me, right? Then...Sento it is.' He let out a nod, reassuring which identity he'll use.

"We do know that not everyone in Exodus have Aura, and thus, with the help of both the Commander Vortex's technology and Atlas' Military mechanisms, we will provide the fighters with artificial aura which will be further explained in the opening progran." Port explained to the lady in purple, hoping to disperse her worries. After all, the Commander did give them extra defense.

"Yes, the Tournament's opening program will begin at exactly 8:30 AM. Although the first battle will begin at 9:00 AM Sharp via the randomization process, so we request all fighters to be present in Colosseum." Dr. Oobleck instructed as the two Professors stood up, carrying the clipboard. "And as for your accommodations, I believe there are plenty of hotels found around the Kingdom itself. I'm sure there'll be a room available somewhere."

The red eyes then shifted to the ground, as growling can be heard all around the Demigod. Shortly, a pack of black furred wolves with skeletal features began to emerge from the darkness, surrounding him. The Wolves growled and snarled as they inch closer at the demigod. One of them was about to pounce on the boy when all of a sudden, a laser beam pushed the wolf away from the demigod, their attention now his.

"What are you standing around for? Get away from those things!" A gruff man's voice came from what appears to be a soldier clad in black and purple with a shoulder cannon. It's helmet's visor kinda looks like Bobba fett.

"You'll see!" Ruby said as she led them down the hill, soon arriving at a festival area being set up on a meadow near the city. "Here we are! The Festival grounds!" She turned around as she stopped running, allowing the two to catch up. Ryuga dropped to the floor on all fours as he breathed heavily, trying to catch his breath.

"How...The hell...Are you...So...Fricking...Fast?" Ryuga asked in between heavy breaths. "What kind of...Monster training did you do?!"

"Oh, that's just my semblance!" Ruby answered as she helped Ryuga get up. "It's like, a superpower that grows naturally. I didn't actually train my stamina, I'm just really REALLY energetic!"

"Yeah...I can see that." Ryuga sighed as he brushed off the grass on his pants and hands. "Yo Niigou, you okay back there?" He turned around, asking if the squid's alright.

Skyrim

Being an unfeeling and calculating machine, A5718 paid little attention to the loss of his troops, marking them as acceptable losses and statistics. Skirmishers were meant to be totally expendable, being so numerous and cheap that if one fell, ten more would take its place. Even now factories were churning out an endless stream of new units to be sent into the meat grinder, or scrapheap. Reinforcements were beginning to pour in through the teleportation gate on Frostbite Base, transports carrying units on their way to the battle. Their lack of biological systems also meant that they were completely unaffected by the enemy bioweapons. The Major calculated a counter-tactic and ordered his troops to begin firing at the enemy horde.

Hundreds upon thousands of blue-white beams of light streaked through the air and lit up the battlefield even brighter than before, each bolt ten thousand kelvin. They were enough to bore holes through bodies and instantly melt metal. Because few, if any, of the enemy troops wore armour that would withstand the extreme heat of the plasma munitions, if they wore any at all, they were torn apart by the scorching fire.

The Major's shields flared to life suddenly, a translucent and shimmering blue outline surrounding his body. His monstrously tough shielding dissipated the energy of the fired projectiles, and even if the shields broke, there would still be his reinforced progenium armour to get through. A5718 ducked for cover and ordered his Gil-E sniper bots situated far away and out of sight to eliminate the threat.

Perhaps calling Gil-Es sniper units would be an understatement. They were meant for killing heavily-armoured units such as tanks and vehicles, but were also ruthlessly effective at killing regular infantry. The massive gun mounted to their right almost as long as they were tall fired extremely high-caliber rounds, unlike most other weapons used by the Vortex Syndicate due to kinetic ammunition having more stopping power and had the added perk of not revealing the bot's position. The projectiles they fired were propelled by a series of powerful electromagnets arranged opposite each other. The parallel conductors accelerated the projectile to great speeds, causing it to leave the barrel at a hypersonic velocity.

And so the Gil-Es returned fire at the enemy sniper teams, each shot aimed with extreme precision. Each round shot through the air at speeds of more than mach 9. The raw kinetic energy alone was enough to tear the unlucky target apart, to say little of its armour-piercing ability.

A Leveler siege tank went up in a fireball of blue and green as it was struck by concentrated enemy fire. However, a second moved in to take its place and unleashed its much more powerful dual 120-watt plasma cannons, firing at the enemy vehicles. The other tanks did the same, firing on the giant wheels. Towards the rear, greatly less defended than the front, the rear guard of Skirmishers held off the enemy heavy troopers. Up-armoured Skirmishers wielding Pulse-Phased Plasma Cannons (3PC), large and powerful weapons the size of heavy machine guns gripped like chainsaws, moved in to assist and counter the enemy heavy weapon teams.

As enemy reinforcements continued to emerge from the ground, so did additional machine forces. They were either flown in on Heron troop transports or literally fired onto the battlefield from Lobs on Frostbite Base. These reinforcements were meant for battle, and they were units that could counter the close-range attackers. Along with additional Skirmishers came squads of Slammers, heavily armoured siege bots that towered over the Skirmishers. These bots charged forwards with their plasma cannons blazing.

Inferno flame tanks rolled forwards as they spat put a column of plasma fire. The Major had deduced that these rat-like unknowns were disease-ridden, and that the best way to expunge them was to purge them with plasma fire, burning them all to a crisp and eradicating the disease.

Darting into action Percy broke into a sprint, far faster than a normal fifteen year old should be capable of. This was quickly followed by a spin and the sound of mechanical activity from the watch on his lift wrist. The sides of the watch popped out into plates of metal that extended into a round disk, forming into a shield. He slid across the dew coverd grass landing in place next to the armoured man drawing his pen from his pocket. Once again his blade shimmered into existance as he removed the cap to the pen. "What the hell are those things!!" Percy didn't recognise them, they were similar to helhounds but much larger and spiky. It didn't really matter what they were, he was gonna kick their ass anyway.

The frontlines of cannon fodder collapsed, as per usual in battles, they vermin hordes quickly descending into chaos, doing nothing more than getting in the way of enemy fire, exactly as intended. The doomwheels were entirely incapable of standing up to the futuristic tanks, and they quickly were wiped out, and the rat-ogres were not faring too much better. Behind the Skaven frontline, the warpfire throwers began to unleash their deadly streams of unnatural fire, far more potent due to the addition of warpstone, burning friend and foe alike, as the remaining ratling gunners did the same. The Jezzail units scattered, a few attempting to get shots off before they were exterminated.

The nightrunners charged into the backlines, attempting to use their incredible speed and greater numbers to overwhelm the enemy quickly, as the stormvermin began to use both their fallen comrades and enemy wreckages as cover while they advanced. While this happened, the Skaven Artillery, far behind the main battle, continue to unleash volleys to devastating effect. Queek himself was quickly becoming furious at his enemy's lack of willingness to engage in melee combat, which he thrived in and lived for. The mad commander continued to drive his forces into the fray, allowing thousands to die as he simply did not care for their lives. Whether he knew this was buying time for his artillery is a true mystery, but likely, most Skaven commanders that would not retreat by now would likely do the same. Meanwhile, a few clanrats under the Warlock-Engineer began moving in quickly, taking whatever they could from the enemy's remains before scurrying off, completely fleeing the battle altogether.

With the reach secured, Skaven armies began to move out rapidly towards Dragon's bridge and Falkreath, destroying all that they could on the way, including destroying vital farmland. Warmachines, mostly Doomwheels and various artillery pieces were brought up. Most of what Mors could deploy was warmachines purchased from Clan Skyre, thus, it was fairly uniform and common Skaven warmachines. The Skaven Beneath the rest of Skyrim dug into caves and ruins across the rest of the province, but did not emerge and make themselves known to their enemies, instead waiting until ordered to attack.

NEAR RYUGA, RUBY (VOL.3)

Marie had a little trouble keeping up with Ruby as she sped towards the festival grounds, though, since she had been doing essentially extreme acrobatics to establish herself as a member of the Squidbeak Splatoon, she had more than enough stamina to keep up.

"Yo Niigou, you okay back there?"

"Yes, I'm fine. Nothing like an afternoon jog to get the ink flowing," she said, somewhat sarcastically. She exhaled once, allowing herself just a moment to catch her breath. She looked forward, and saw the festival grounds. They were evidently not done setting up all the tents and food stands. Yet already small groups were already congregating in the large, pavilion-like center. The food stands themselves were wildly diverse, from familiar to totally foreign delicacies served at each stand, of which were each in vibrant colors across the entire visible spectrum, from dull reds and browns to a few neon purple and pink stands. "It seems... large."

-Canopy Kingdom-

Cerebella continues to walk down the streets of New Meridian. As she walked, she begins to think of a way to pass the time before returning to the circus. "Hmm...what should I do at this moment? Maybe I should go see Filia, though the school wouldn't let a stunning dynamo like me to enter their grounds. Perhaps maybe I should go there during her break. Yeah, I guess I can do that." She mutters, eventually making up her decision. However, she is completely unaware that someone is following her.

Malekith

During Malekith's trek through the frozen wasteland that is Northern Skyrim, his senses detect a strange disturbance coming from somewhere far south of him. Intrigued by this, the Dark Elf decides to take a look. Tapping into the ancient power contained within his crown, the Witch King concentrates all of his attention towards whatever going on in that direction until a vision suddenly appears before his eyes, revealing a birds-eye-view of a large, bloody conflict between a vast horde of the treacherous ratmen engaged in combat with a smaller superior foe that wielded strange yet impressive technology.

" Of course those wretched rats would be involved in this. "

While normally Malekith, like any other proper Druchi, would of normally avoided such a vicious conflict until a weakened victor emerged, Malekith was in desperate need of information at the moment. Dispelling the vision, Malekith begins to draw the magic surrounding him into himself, preparing a spell that would allow him to cross vast distances.
