Im an electric trainer from Vermilion, so Id like to think i got in with them quite early as they were building up. And if i can get away with it, id like to be Surge's illegitimate kid- thus doesn't care for legal authority(daddy issues). Surge's one attempt to connect was by giving me a Joltik he caught while traveling. Id wouldn't admit it, but i do have a soft spot for him for giving me my first pokemon.

Id like to request to have the spot because I'm specifically from Vermilion. Even if the gods(Wel) decide i can't be the kid of a gym leader, ill still be from there and already have strong ties in the city to begin with. I would have jumped onto the Aurum's bandwagon long enough ago that Id like to think id have gotten higher than a grunt. Build wise, Jo is every meaning of the world "Petite" standing at 4'9" and weighing in at 110lb, she's lucky she doesn't blow away in a strong wind. Of that 110lb however a good portion of it is muscle, being short is hard work, you've got to be strong to keep up with the giant freaks when you're robbing some sorry ass store. Jo has a nice figure for her size, her hips and bust are slightly understated yet curvy, but with fairly long legs for her height and a waistline that people would live in the gym to achieve, Jo isn't short on the "charm points" as she would say.


A self styled "punk" Jordan loves bright and outrageous colours, her most stand out feature, her hair, takes this love and sprints with it. Dyed a bright teal and fading into blue further towards her neck, Jo's hair will no doubt be the first thing you notice about her, closely followed by her strikingly green eyes, and her pale skin.


Like her hair, Jo's fashion sense is eye catching, rebellious, and glaringly colourful. A bright red jacket with a fur lined collar and hood over a simple black tank top, short purple dyed shorts paired with ripped up black thigh-high socks and old para-boots. Jo dresses every part the punk rebel. Her outfit is finished off with a pair of brushed steel and glass goggles she was given by her brother.


Personality


A little sassy bitch would be most accurate description, but what 19 year old rebellious girl isn't? Living life to have fun and taking each day as it comes, Jordan rarely sticks to the rules and listens to her elders even less. While she doesn't have a temper per say, Jo won't take shit from anyone. She's a bit of a sadist, and loves playing tricks on people, finding the humour in the horrible and enjoying watching people squirm under awkward situations, Jo can be a hazard to be around.


Growing up in her "financial situation" wasn't easy, and you know what they say, kids are cruel… She wasn't the most popular person at her school… BUT! being the carefree fun loving person she was it's not like she gave a flying fuck, Jo had more important things to do than listen to their petty comments about how uncool her hand me down clothes were, like going to gigs and hanging around with the wrong crowd! With school now ditched it's not like the assholes from her class don't even matter anymore, it's all in the past.


History


Originally from Mahogany Town, Jo spent her early years growing up amongst the mountains, but she has very few memories of life here. Her mother, a native to Mahogany town, met her father when he was traveling, and promptly fell in love for the "handsome stranger" that he apparently was. Her father was originally from Saffron in Kanto, and had set out to explore the world as most young people do around the kanto and Johto areas. He settled down with her mother in Mahogany and had a son, Jo's older brother, and a few years after Jo was born, and a few years after that, the local sawmill closed… Finding it hard to raise a family and find work out in the mountains, he decided to head to Saffron, he took Jo and her mother with him, heading out for a new adventure as a family. This is where Jo and her brother have spent most of their lives, living in various small apartments of the sprawling city as their dad moved around from job to job.


School was hard when you're constantly the new kid, but her brother always helped her through things. Fending off bullies for her, taking her to meet his new friends when he could, things were alright. Jo learned to toughen up quickly before she was worn down by the world around her, and as she got less and less interested in school, she grew more and more interested in what her brother and his friends got up to, and that wasn't always legal. Staying out late, crashing over at "a friends place", Jo seen less and less of her parents, not that they were around much anyway. Her dad worked, drank, worked, her mother worked, and sat in the kitchen reading the day befores news papers she'd lifted from the neighbor's trash. Jo had more interesting things to do anyway, like look into this new group running the streets she had heard about from one of her bro's friends.

Snowflake

Referred to most of the time simply as "Flake", Jo's Sneasel has been a constant companion throughout her life. Being the offspring of her mother's Weavile and one of her father's Houndooms, Flake is as much a sister to Jo as it is her companion and pet, they're the same age. Flake has an aversion to pokeballs, and prefers not to be in them, Jo also likes having Flake on hand for less savoury activities, and as someone to talk to. They're both very close, and growing up together have developed similar personalities.

Bones

Similar to Flake, Bones was gifted to Jo by her brother. It's the offspring of his Houndoom, which is in turn the offspring of her father's Houndoom duo. He's 10 years old, and while he's enthusiastic, Bones is also quite inexperienced when compared to Flake. Personality wise Bones is hot headed, protective, loyal, and has a temper, however in Jo's care he is just as playful and loving as any other pokemon.

A

A, her Abra, is the only Pokémon Jo has caught by herself, she snagged him down an alleyway in Celadon near the old Rocket Casino. Jo's only had A for a few months, but so far they seem to be getting along fine. He sleeps quite a lot, but due to his psychic typing, A can react to Jo's commands without really needing to wake up. He seems to have quite a sarcastic trickster like quality to him, and on the rare occasion that A is awake, he enjoys pulling tricks on Bones and Flake using his teleporting skills, much to the annoyance or amusement of the other two, depending on who he's focusing on.

I don't have type themes chosen for the teams. Because I'm letting people choose their own Pokemon (within reason) it's not really a priority for me. The leaders will probably have type-themed teams, but as of right now, there's nothing set in stone.


EDIT: This chart shows the proportion of Pokemon types as of Gen 5. If I choose type themes, my choices will most likely include the more common types, since there are a lot of Pokemon not available in Kanto.

After taking a position of power Em only truly felt comfortable in a suit. Her outfits are fairly androgynous, but they can’t help but hug her feminine frame. At 6ft tall she easily stands above the rest (probably her father to blame for that), and takes advantage of that. Her smug look of satisfaction seems right at home on her face as she looks down on her subordinates.


The suits she has custom made are not overly flashy, but obviously nicely made. She shows her power through her presence, not simply the weath.


Her Joltik, Jo, likes to sit comfortably on her shoulder, particularly as she looks over the new recuits.


Personality


To say Em is ambitious is an understatement. When she knows what she wants, she goes and gets it. Its one of the reasons she rose so easily through Aurum’s ranks. But that’s not to say she’s overly rude or abrasive. She knows you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar.


Now Em might not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but she knows how to use what shes got. Some facts and figures might escape her in idle conversation, yet few could plan a rival’s take over like her.


Because she doesn’t let little things get in the way of her plans, she can come off as somewhat amoral. Em and Jo (her Joltik) earned their name Electric Em. If they needed some key piece of information from a hostage, she is not above tying them down and slowly lowering Jo onto their chest. It would never take long for her to walk out with the information, dragging the hostage, singed and covered in web.


There is honestly very little she wouldn’t do in the name of her ambitions.


Despite her own arrogance, she still knows where to show her respects. Whenever the Boss is in the room she keeps her head low, even with her height, and she doesn’t bad mouth her equals. What power she gains will not be taken through striking down those she respects. That is, unless they deserve it.


History


Growing up, Emilia could have easily been called an ungrateful child. She had a fine home by the sea, a mother who didn’t chastise her, and plenty of warm meals. The problem was she never asked for any of it. She didn’t earn any of it. It was only given to her and her mother because her father felt an obligation to make sure his ex-lover and illegitimate child were taken care of. The only thing she liked from him was a Joltik he gave her when she turned 10, probably expecting her to take on the gyms. The daughter of Lt. Surge would be expected of nothing less.


Over the following few years Em traveled a little bit, trying to figure out what she wanted to do. She ‘saw the world’ and won a badge or two, but ended up getting into a bit of a tight situation when passing through Saffron City and realizing what she really wanted. She happened to be unlucky enough to get stuck in the city while Team Rocket was taking the Silph Co. Headquarters. She was trapped in the city and these thugs were seemingly holding the city hostage through Silph Co. Here she first hand saw the power of organized crime. History will remember their attempt as a failure, but she saw them bring this city to a halt. She remembers what power they held.


So when she heard rumors after Rocket’s fall of an ambitious group starting in her hometown, she headed right there to start making a name for herself and claiming what power she could.

Barron stands at an average height of 5' 6" tall, with a slim, shady build. Barron has shoulder-length, black hair that is rather thin and is quite voluminous. He sports a tan, stoic and chiseled face that makes him look very charming and mature. He completes this look by wearing round, silver-trimmed glasses that have a navy tint that almost hides his eyes. He also has a rather neatly trimmed goatee shaped into a point, accentuating his charm and look. Barron wears a rather snazzy black, tailcoat with a blue collar, cuffs, epaulets, and belt. He also wears a pair of white gloves and a black peaked cap to go with his suit, with a blue ribbon wrapped around the bowl of the hat. On his waist is a silver chain, which he can and has used to wrap around his hand into a sort of make-shift brass knuckle if he ever gets into a fight. On the inside of his suit is where he keeps his Pokémon, away from any prying eyes.


Personality


Barron uses his charming looks to the best of his ability and is a quite persuasive person. He is rather suave and can almost always get his way with his words or even talk his way out of a bad situation. He usually treats his fellow man with great respect, thanking them when they deserve it or even asking them for something. His only quirk seems to be an obsessive compulsion to always check his golden pocket watch and to be on time for any and all events. Barron loves committing crimes and earning an extra buck or two just for the sheer thrill of doing the crime. He's always found a good rush in running away from the cops or stealing some priceless and expensive art or stones. With his gentleman-like attitude, he is unquestionably loyal, always looking up to his team's leader as a sort of inspiration.


History


Barron grew up with a loving mother and father, always looking up more to his father due to the fact that his Dad was a true gentleman. His father would always pull out the chair for his mother, open the door for her, let her go first and just treated her with a general kindness. His father was also a hard and honest worker, doing his best to make sure there was food on the table as well as some extra money so his son could afford to go to the The Pokémon Technical Institute when he was young. His father put aside about 3 years of savings to buy Barron a Dratini so he would have his own little friend and Pokemon to bring to The Pokémon Technical Institute. This infuriated his wife, who wanted that money to afford a better house and life. Eventually, despite his father's loving and kind nature, his wife left him due to the fact that they weren't making enough money to afford a better life. His father immediately fell into a deep depression, finding himself not being able to pay off his bills and debts. He soon fell into a life of crime and was good at it, starting to carve out a happy living with his son, until he was caught one day in front of Barron. Before he was taken away, he walked up to his son, got down on one knee and told him, "I know I've done bad, my boy. I've stolen a lot of things that aren't mine, but, I was always a gentleman about it. I was always kind to everybody I ever met, even if I was going to be stealing from them later." With that, Barron left on his own adventure, getting into a life of crime much like his father. He soon joined a team, rising through the ranks and becoming a professional thief and a very skilled Pokémon Trainer.
