  The legend of the jail house escapees on the run from the most infamous bounty hunters in all the land.

  INTRODUCTION.​

  
  Based in the 1930’s, a small gaggle of prisoners manage to break loose from the most well known, heavily guarded, and high security penitentiary in the country in hopes of freedom and a brighter future.. A safe one. But, breaking free of this inhumane labor and a grueling environment is an extremely risky and treacherous journey- regardless of whatever the cost may be. Some even say it is a death wish to leave the prison then stay confined.
  
  A certain breed of bounty hunters stalk the land surrounding the prison awaiting their next victim daring to escape confinement. Bounty hunting for them was never just about the money, that came second, but what was most important was the action of playing god. The addictive control of what happens to the lives of these prisoners is all in their hands. Even so, there are far worse things that could happen. Legends are told amongst the lands of supernatural beings existing beyond the walls- much worse than any bounty hunter imaginable.
  
  Unfortunately for the bounty hunters.. These certain escapees happen to be experts in their own right. Specializing in niche crimes, complicated pasts, and distinguishing morals, It certainly won’t be easy to wrangle them in.
  
  

  In fact, it will be their hardest challenge yet.​

  RULES.​

  
  We wanted to lay down a few ground rules about how we’re going to be approaching the RP and also what exactly we’re looking for!
  
  1. Follow all RpN rules first and foremost!! This is an 18+ RP for the mature content that we’d like to explore, but we will be following all RpN rules both in and out of character.
  
  2. No edgelords. No shame to people who like rping lone wolves and the like, but this is a very social rp. Character interactions are the point of this rp and will be driving the story.
  
  3. We’re shooting for paragraph length posts (two to three as a good standard) and at least one post a week. Of course, we’d love to go faster, but we all have lives. If something comes up, though, please let us know!! We’re happy to work with you!
  
  4. This is not first come first serve! We’re aiming for a smaller group of 4-5 people and whoever meshes the best will be decided through application!
  
  5. You must have a discord for us to talk OOC!! DM myself or queendilettante if you have any questions.

  ROLES.​

  
  1. "Wrong place at the wrong time."
  Your character was just entirely unlucky! Accused of a crime they didn't commit! Only by chance did they just happen to be the only person at the scene where the crime took place. All fingers pointing to them and without much evidence to prove it was them in the first place. “It’s them alright, that’s the person who started all this trouble! Take em’ away boys!”
  
  2. "Professional scammer."
  It’s all fun and games stickin it to the man until it’s not! Your character wrote some seriously fraudulent checks, evaded taxes, and stole from the rich! They’ve been on a spree of money squandering until one day.. They messed with the wrong corporate fat suit and got caught! “You're in big trouble now! You stole from the wrong fella!”
  
  3. "Save the kids!"
  Your character thought they did the right thing (they did), but at what cost? Townspeople have been telling them for years they can’t keep getting away with killing the bad guys. “Karma will take care of them sickos!”... yeah, that is somewhat true, but your character just set the date.
  
  4. “They got what was coming.”
  There's a saying that goes “revenge is a dish best served cold”… unless they deserved it. Then it’s a nice warm meal by the fire! Someone did your character a great wrong.. a crime so unforgivable. The justice system won’t punish such a person even for the terrible crime committed. It just isn’t quick enough, so they took it into their own hands.
  
  5. "The Plug."
  Your character, also known as an angel amongst many, has been illegally trafficking life saving drugs for the sick and needy. This unfortunately doesn’t come without consequences. They have been locked up a few too many times after being caught by the sheriff. Which means they know the prison like the back of their hand. “This place is like my second home.” (taken by myself)
  
  6. "Jewel thief!"
  Your character doesn’t just love shiny things, they rob stores just to get them too! Well.. not just for themselves at least (maybe a little). They go store to store with a big old glock in hand, get all the jewels, and exchange this illicit bounty for licit cash that they donate to a good cause. That’s pretty nice of them if you ask me.. if you can look past the getting arrested part. “That pretty diamond can buy you a lot of pretty ponies..”

  ABOUT.
  Hello there! I'm Lox, and this will be my first interest check with the help of queendilettante as I am new to the website. Inspired by the film “Brother Where Art Thou'' with supernatural themes heavily based on norse mythology. I’m simply keeping this as a vague interest check without giving away much lore. I want this to be more of a group collaboration where we all work toward a plot as we go, instead of a definitive plot already being set. I see this RP being based on a small group of characters. At the most I would like it to be five characters to keep it tight knit and well played out. Thank you!

Sounds interesting!

I know you'd like to keep most of the lore a surprise, but, I can't help asking a few questions.

How much of a role will the supernatural piece play in the course of the story? Will it be a driving force? A horror element? Or more of a background piece?

Also, is the setting to be akin to 1930s America with chain gangs and mobsters? Or more specifically, is the RP made to be Historical in nature or will it have more a customized setting like a fictional country and what not?

This reminds me of cowboy bebop, and yet, theres no space. do i love cowboy bebop so much that anything that mentions bounty hunters and criminals makes me think of cowboy bebop...? we’ll find out...

what’s up! so i just joined the site, and this rp sounds like its piqued my interest! you dont get these sort of vibes from most shows anymore.

i also enjoy how this seems like a thing where you could play a morally complex charactar! those are always fun!

The horror based in norse mythology will play a large role in it! Have you heard of the movie “The Ritual”? It’s similar like the plot, their stuck in the woods with a common plot and plan.. and they happen to walk into something they had no idea existed. This RP is inspired by Brother Where Art Thou as well. The theme of “what did we just walk into” unsuspecting victims. Unlike the movie, and about this RP there are stories about the grounds outside the prison, but its seen as a joke. But that will play a role for sure, beside the escaping aspect.

It’s not exactly historical, just based in a western theme on that time period.
