It's meant to be placed on the ground beforehand, like a mine. You can attempt to throw it, but it's at best less reliable that way.

At the moment, all I'm missing is Veskassdak's initiative bonus - rolls turned out in a way that it won't matter all that much, though.
Random side note - some people here just don't get proper ini rolls at all...

Yes - the scout is the one behind the undead orc; meanwhile, the falconer is the one who shot at Renna without revealing his position.

I'll have a look at that tomorrow - pretty certain it's not enough for the next level though, so it shouldn't have too much of an impact yet.

As for Wren's husband-to-be, his family name is Petaccio, and here is his crest:
