Anthony only realized he had been speaking formally when Ula pointed it out. "It's instinct mi-" He stopped himself. "-Ula." He nodded when she asked him to watch out for bandits. "Of course." He replied.
Anthony could feel that the archers were looking at Karliah and Fydoria. However, one of the two had an obstacle between themselves and the archers. Him. Karliah was under his protection. He'd be damned if he'd let her get shot, let alone on her first mission! She probably looked forward to joining her local militia, so he wouldn't let her spirit be crushed. He stood at the ready, keeping his eyes on the archers. He saw one of the archers drew their bows. He looked where they were aiming, and assumed they were aiming at Ula. He moved his sword a bit outward towards her, and when he saw the flash of the arrow, he quickly swiped his sword in front of her. Thankfully, the arrow had hit the broad side of his sword, and bounced of harmlessly. This may be an incredible feat, but his father had trained him for this. "Anthony, a knight must-" Now isn't the time for flashbacks. The other archer drew their bow and fired, hitting his armor and also bouncing off. He glanced around a bit, and saw that a savage looking bandit was sneaking around the corner of the fortress's wall wielding an axe.
"Miss Ula, an axeman is to our right!" He said to her as he stopped walking. "Apply pressure to the archers so that I can focus more on him, please!" He spoke rather energetically for someone saying "please", but he didn't care or notice. The axeman charged at the group, and Anthony stood ready. The axeman swung, but Anthony batted his axe away, and thrust in retaliation while taking care not to expose Karliah and Ula to the archers. With one exchange, his nearly lifelong training was already showing itself.
