- — dead men tell no talesSomething about the ocean and wide open seas draw people in. Despite the many frightening tales of sirens, sea serpents, krakens, and sharp rocks, some people can't help but be drawn to the ocean. They want to hop in a boat and row out into the ocean. Pirates are the same way. That's the case here with a certain band of pirates. While some people fear pirates, and others don't take kindly to them, this band of pirates don't mean any harm! They're just looking for treasure and mischief fun, that's all. No need to fear them. These pirates love feeling the salty breeze and they don't mind getting splashed.
The pirates are always looking for some sort of adventure on the open seas, whether it be exploring new islands, looking for treasure, or setting out on some spooky voyage. Danger excites them and thrills them, and those frightening tales of krakens and sirens and serpents don't deter them away from a good adventure. Come on board the Dragon's Ghost with these merry band of pirates! There's never a dull day on this ship.
coded by natasha.aboutlorespotsrules - a bit more in depthHello friends! It is me, juniper, with a pirate roleplay! Well, this is a reboot of my other pirate roleplay! I find myself craving a good adventurous pirate roleplay after rewatching the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy and so here we are! This roleplay is about a band of pirates looking for treasure and adventure, and while there is not an exact plot for this, there are plenty of adventures for these pirates to take on! Though perhaps an established plot will come up later. There are limited spots and the spots are first come first serve, though there are some spots that have 2 people. So once someone claims that spot, it is theirs unless they lose interest and the spot will reopen for someone to grab.
Now, do krakens, sirens, and sea serpents exist or are they just apart of those stories you might've heard?

CAPTAIN (TAKEN) -- Ah, the captain themselves! They are the captain of this merry, mischievous band of pirates. Just don't pull a mutiny, though! They are a good captain though.
THE FIRST MATE (TAKEN) -- Right below the captain is the first mate, or the second in command. Should the captain be sick or injured or absent, then the crew shall report to the first mate.
THE ROYALTY (TAKEN) -- A person of royalty who is currently on the run from their kingdom. They are unhappy with their life of royalty and would rather spread their wings out and crave freedom. Their parents, however, are not taking their absence kindly so the kingdom is currently looking for them. This royal person stowed away on the ship and the captain agreed to let them stay and be a part of the merry crew. However, having a person of royalty on board comes with many dangers.
THE COOK (TAKEN) -- This person can make a delicious fish stew! The crew is always looking forward to the delicious meals that the cook on board can whip up.
THE SURGEON (TAKEN) -- This person is an expert in anatomy and medicine. If you are sick, injured, whatever... you come to this person, and they'll fix you right up!
THE PRISONER (TAKEN) -- Someone did something to make the crew angry! Why the captain decided to take this person and bring them on board as a prisoner is a mystery, but they are often kept below deck, and of course they are sometimes brought out on deck to walk around and get some sunshine. But they cannot be left on their own.
THE SPIES (OPEN/TAKEN) -- These two are stealthy and sneaky. They are joined at the hip and will report to the captain or first mate with information that they have managed to collect. They'll usually spy on persons of interest or anyone suspicious, like when the crew is docked in a town and there's some suspicious people there.
NEW CREWMEMBERS (OPEN/OPEN) -- Two pirates who are very new to the crew. They're still learning the ropes and adjusting to their new pirate life, but they'll help the crew out with tasks.
THE GUNNER (TAKEN) -- The weapons and artillery expert. They man the cannons, and they handle all the guns and swords. They're often below deck where the cannons are at.
THE CARTOGRAPHER (TAKEN) -- The mapper of the crew. They map out courses, islands, towns, you name it. They'll advise the captain or first mate on where to go and what course to take.
THE LOOKOUTS (TAKEN/TAKEN) -- The lookouts of the crew! Their eyesight is pretty good, and they can spot land, rocks, other ships, and many dangers up from the crow's nest.
THE CARPENTER (TAKEN) -- Someone needs to repair the ship! If an attack or storm has damaged some of the ship, it is the carpenter's job to fix the damage and make sure the ship structure is excellent. This person will also check the masts and make sure they are working properly.
THE TAILOR (TAKEN) -- Are your clothes starting to get worn out? Maybe there's a hole that needs stitching. Well, there's a tailor on board! They handle the clothes and mending of clothes.
