"Oh wow, so they're actually stocked?:o)" Dozzco wondered aloud the moment that Monotora mentioned the First Aid stations, even though his words essentially answered her question for her.

Still making sure to keep a comforting grasp on Hana, Dozzco couldn't help but look to the nearest aid station with nothing short of interest. But even with the revelation that there was definitely medical facilities on board the ship in conjunction with sustenance and living conditions, the revelation seemed to do little to stem the flow of distrust that was flourishing throughout the group. Dozzco looked from one face to another, seeing the panic visibly spread through certain expressions. Mikia was sizing folks up one after another, the kitten masked girl who'd ran in was now looking between them all in a panic, with Kiera and Ryuji stepping forward to try and curb the tides.

Dozzco couldn't help but nod along with them as they spoke, but her mind was elsewhere. Her visor showed a miscellaneous stream of changing colors that could've meant anything as she thought of the device the Kuma Bros mentioned. After they'd taken their leave to let everyone panic, Dozzco figured that everyone acquiring their own devices was paramount. Not for information purposes of course, Dozzco was certain that she had far more info in her clipboard than her device could offer. What it couldn't match were the controls the devices had over their rooms and the rules of the game.

Backing up, Dozzco made sure to carefully help Hana sit at a table so she could go over her clipboard, "Just have a juice or something, hon. The fresh stuff really soothes the nerves and invigorates the body."

With that pitch given, she twirled her pen and turned back to the others just as Haruki mentioned leaving for their rooms. It was an idea that everyone else seemed eager to follow, and Dozzco shrugged in compliance.

"Ms. Koibito does make a good point, everyone should have some time to recuperate.:lennyslash:" she mentioned whilst glancing to both Ryuji and Kiera "No matter how folks take shocking news, a grace period for adjustment is always appreciated, at least to the standard individual.:lenny:"

She cats a short glance to Baltorr at that last part before tossing her pen into the air, "That being said, secluding ourselves from each other's just a recipe for exacerbating tension.:closedeyescryingfrown: Tale as old as time really. Not saying ya shouldn't try protecting yourself, but we should at least group up after figuring out the details of the devices.:kissopeneyes:"

After glancing to the setting sun as well, she caught her pen out of the air, "Perhaps over breakfast?;) Once we have full bellies, time to ourselves and a clearer understanding of our circumstances, making decisions shouldn't be half as hard as they are now.:csmile:"

Clapping her hands together, she slid her pen back into her pocket and waved goodbye as many of her peers took their leave, "Just something to keep in mind, folks. Not like any of us could enforce something like that, anyway.:lennymeh:"

As folks left, Dozzco turned her attention back to Hana, "Hey, if you want, I could help you to that aid station and see if they got anything for light-headedness.:kissopeneyes: Not exactly my area of expertise but I've advertised enough medication to know my way around a pharmacy chain.;)"

Standing tall, she turned her attention back to the one who'd been completely overshadowed by the Kuma Bros announcement, Mr. Injured Dog Boy had been practically forgotten in the haze of confusion left behind by the revelation. Both he and the Cat mask girl had looked as if they were in states of absolute panic even before this whole killing game shtick was revealed. She wasn't confident that she'd be able to calm either of them down, but just leaving them without some kind of lifeline would invite further panic on their part.

"That goes for you too," she called out to him, making sure not to approach "Pretty sure a first aid station like that would have just the right bandages for minor wounds like that.:lennymeh:"

Making sure to glance in the direction of the cat-mask girl as she did so, Dozzco turned to the station, "There's still some time until night, so I'm not exactly eager to go napping just yet, so if ya need some kinda help I'm all good for it.:33:"

Because unlike many of the others, Dozzco figured she'd be able to easily retrieve her device when she went to bed later. Now wasn't the time for hiding away in her room, especially when there were still things beyond the device that she wanted to get ahold of. So it wasn't exactly time for her to hit the hay just yet.

Now... was investigation time.

The others were slowly starting to trickle away to other parts of the boat, and Momo was starting to get calmer as some of the more suspicious characters (namely, the pyrotechnician and the strange wizard man) had left. But she was still lost, unsure of what to do? Would it be safer to be alone? Or would she have to force herself to trust someone?

Out of all of them, the masked... woman? with the clipboard seemed to be the nicest. She was practical, throwing out advice for all of the others, and seemed genuinely eager to help without being an overwhelming, fake-sounding kind of nice like that other girl who’d made a dramatic speech. Besides that, Momo couldn’t help but relate to her, and it was nice that someone had actually acknowledged her. So she made up her mind.

“W-Wait!” She called, getting up from the floor and running to the woman’s side. “Uh, Hello there, fellow masked weirdo! Mew~ Can I come with you? I... don’t want to be alone, Mew...”

Haruki was about to open the door to her room when footsteps of one of her classmates scared her. Looks like someone else was also keen on finding their room, something she knew but was startled nonetheless. Her hand twitched as she lost her footing, yelping as she grabbed the handle to keep from falling. She looked over to see who it was to see the pyrotechnical guy. She couldn't remember his name from the top of her head, so she just awkwardly smiled at him.

"Hi, um--What was your name again?"

She nodded at his response, her gaze averting downwards. "Um, I'm pretty sure your room is like a door or two down from mine, I'm pretty sure I saw that name close to here, so, yeah." She laughed off her obvious fear, trying to keep that innocent smile plastered on her face so she wouldn't just break down in tears. "Anyway, bye, I guess..."

She went to go into her room.

Mikia looked around, observing the rest of the group now that Monokuma had disappeared somewhere. The blonde, Kiera, stepped forward and gave a speech in which she suggested they all work together. From what she could gather, Kiera didn't seem like she had any interest in killing someone, yet at least. And for her suggestion about working together, well obviously that would be ideal, but at least a few of the people on the ship seemed a little too comfortable with the idea of killing. That's what stopped Mikia from being one hundred percent sure, at least.

She watched as members of the group started to break off and head to their rooms. Deciding to do the same, Mikia called out to the group, "I'm gonna go check out my room. I'll be back later though". She turned and started walking in the direction Haruhi had taken when looking for her room. After coming upon her room, Mikia was relieved to see no one else was there already and the door was closed. Not that she really expected someone else to be there, but it was relieving to know that no one had tampered with her room, or come upon that PDA that supposedly contained information about her. She didn't exactly know what was on it, and until she did it was important that it didn't fall in someone else's hands.

Letting herself into her room, Mikia stared around the interior. Turning around, she locked the door behind her, just for safety. She walked to where she saw the PDA, grabbed it, and sat down on her bed, deciding to look through the information on it before going back to the group.

Ryuji Kazan

While Ryuji was looking for his room, he heard a familiar voice behind him. It was Haruki, who had earlier introduced herself as the "Ultimate Arborist". Ryuji turned around when Haruki asked for his name, and said in a matter-of-fact tone, "Ryuji. That's m'name, don't wear it out." Double-pointing to Haruki, Ryuji added, "You're that girl who takes care of trees. Your name's Haruki, yeah?" He could tell Haruki was (pun possibly intended) probably shaking like a leaf in fear at how she was talking to someone who worked with explosive materials in a situation like this, so he once again (with rolled eyes that Haruki couldn't see thanks to Ryuji's dark-lensed goggles) decided to reassure her. "Look, I know what's going on here. Some whackjobs who hide their identities behind remote-controlled toys asked us to kill each other, but lemme just say this again..."

Ryuji pulled out his matchbox and stuck a match in the corner of his mouth mid-sentence like how an adult might with a cigarette. "...I ain't got a reason to kill anyone here, okay? I told all of you before, I think of my fireworks as something to bring excitement and joy, not something I'm gonna kill anyone with. Oh, here's an idea..." Ryuji gently slammed a fist into his open palm in a sort of "I've got it!" gesture as he maintained his stoic frown. "If I get a chance to, I'll put on a display for everyone. How's that sound? It might not be time for a summer festival, yeah, but I dunno. Might ease the tension a bit."

Before Ryuji could get a response, however, Haruki had nervously departed for her own room. On that note, Ryuji quite quickly found his own room and locked the door from the inside as he began a brief search for this aforementioned piece of equipment.

Only a few feet from the Medical Station, Dozzco paused as someone called out to her. With more of her peers taking off for their rooms, she expected her investigation to be a solo operation. But it wasn't to be, as she turned back to spot the cat mask lass making her way over to her. Dozzco saw with no small amount of satisfaction that she was far less frantic than earlier, but didn't seem eager to go off on her own. Putting one hand on her hip, Dozzco gave herself a small chuckle before gesturing to her

"Well isn't that just precious?;)" she mused whilst casually waving off her worries "I don't mind you taggin' along, hon. No worries.:closed eyes open smile:"

Turning back, she pulled open the first aid station and stepped inside whilst raising her clipboard, "It ain't like I was planning on going to too many places, nighttime isn't exactly conducive for investigations after all. Just doing a lil' inventory on what kind of first aid they got around here.:closedeyessmile:"

It was more than that though, as certain medications could only be garnered from certain locations, something that Dozzco had hoped would give her a clue as to where this vessel was supplied from. No dice, as not only did she find that the medical stations were stocked with almost everything a sick young adult would need for a plethora of conditions, but a large number of meds were in a giant vending machine with flashing lights that took up one entire wall of the station. 'Monokuma's Magnificent Ill-Begone Market' was emblazoned on the massive machine's side, employing all the enticing tactics of a Casino slot machine in full force.

"Do feel free to refer to me as Dozzco, honey.;D" she spoke back to the cat-masked lass as she kneeled in front of the machine to get a better look at its functions "It isn't like masked weirdos like use lack names, right?:grinningteeth:"

As she spoke, she found that the machine did in fact work like a vending machine. Numerous pills, supplements, and vitamins were all given distinctive inventory numbers that could be entered into a keyboard. If the implications were to be believed, a few key presses were all it took to get you your necessary prescription. But something was off to Dozzco, as even she knew that not all kinds of medication could be left at room temperature like this.

Sure enough, beside a cabinet labeled as emergency aid were two refrigerators. One had the rest of the medicine in it while the other had blood packs.

"Well, hopefully one of the Kuma bros knows how to do blood transfusions.:lennymeh:" she mused, wondering for a moment if such a skill could be found among the other Ultimates.

Momo breathed a sigh of relief as the woman agreed to let her tag along. Her optimistic demeanor reassured Momo's faith in humanity; What had she been thinking before? They were all just kids, confused and scared ones. Nobody on this ship would actually try to kill eachother when there were other ways out. Someone could swim to an island for help if the ship was close enough, or find a way to contact someone through technology. Or if worse came to worse, they could all make a run for it the next time the ship docked. They'd have to restock on supplies eventually. No one here was actually going to kill anyone... She had to stop being so paranoid.

When they arrived at the infirmary, Momo was perfectly content to let the woman take the lead. She listened to her talk, nodding but never having to say a word. It seemed like this woman could continue a whole conversation all by herself. Momo also took the opportunity to look around and see what kind of medical supplies they had. A metal desk in the corner looked promising: There was a syringe of clear liquid inside of one of the drawers. She was able to recognize what it was after squeezing a few drops onto the desk: Morphine, just like she gave Momma at home. She hoped that Papa would be able to do that while she was gone and quietly slipped the syringe into her apron pocket for later.

"Dozzco?" She mused. It was an odd name, but it was probably short for something. Or maybe the woman was actually a robot. She kind of looked like one. Momo introduced herself with a quick, polite bow. "Hastumomo Ogawa. But my friends all call me..." She let her voice trail off for a second, deep in thought. "Hm. Everyone calls me Momo, Mew~"

The thought of a blood transfusion made her shiver. She couldn't help but think of Momma in her chair with that awful tube stabbed into her veins, looking out of the window blankly. "Do you think that he'll be okay?" She asked Dozzco about the boy in the dog suit. "He looked pretty banged up... I wonder why someone did that to him..."

"Momo?:/:" Dozzco raised her head and looked back to her "Well you just have the cutest themes going on, don't ya?;)"

Turning back to the refrigerator, Dozzco pulled it open before leaning against the door and pulling out her pen. Marking down the medicine on offer, she began to slowly realize that if there was this much in every one of the stations, and there was supposed to be one on every deck, it would only be a matter of time before someone ended up overindulging. Perhaps that was the cynic in her, having abused the consumer base's desire for medicinal additives numerous times in the past, but having this much of anything readily accessible was always just a powder keg waiting to go off.

Of course, restricting such access was not something she could even hope to enforce, meaning it was a worry that would simply have to be set aside for now.

But she would be keeping a lil' eye on it, no doubt.

Closing the fridge, Dozzco turned to see Momo staring at a syringe. Tilting her head, Dozzco stepped over before looking into the desk drawer she had drawn it from. Dozzco took stock of the morphine inside, writing more in her clipboard as she did so. She didn't halt as Momo posed a question to her about , pen still moving even as she tilted her head to the side to look at her.

"Hm❓" she took a moment before realizing who she was asking about "Oh, you mean Doggie-Dude?:lennymeh:"

She gave a shake of her head before gesturing with her pen, "You asking physically or mentally?:(" she asked before glancing to the side "Because as odd as it might sound, I'm actually inclined to believe Monokuma's lil' physical evaluation. He seems dead-set on getting this whole death-game thing going, and the wounds I saw seemed recoverable at worst.:kissopeneyes:"

"Mentally, however?:lennyslash:"
Dozzco lowered her clipboard and gave a hum of contemplation "Well, ya don't really need advertising experience like mine to see he's got problems.:closedeyessmile:"

Lowering her clipboard down, Dozzco leaned against the table and looked to Momo fully, "As for why, you really don't want to underestimate just how many answers there are to that question, hon.;D" she gestured towards herself "Trust me, I've taken advantage of the irrationality and self-deception people are capable of far too much not to recognize a victim of it.:33: Its one of the great facts of life: the sun shines, grass grows, birds fly, and someone somewhere's getting absolutely destroyed.☝:closed eyes open smile:"

Momo pouted a bit. "Can you really tell how mentally stable someone is when you don't even know them?" She asked. She tried not to take it personally, but it was definately presumptuous for Dozzco to assume there was something wrong with him just because he was wearing a costume. "Maybe he just... likes being a dog, Mew~ Maybe one of those Kumas has a furry fetish and dressed him up like that while he was, Mew~, knocked out." If she was so quick to judge someone just for being dressed up... "...Do you think there's something wrong with me, too?"

She was a little bit disturbed to see how little the girl seemed to care about other people's feelings. "D-Do you really not feelsorry for him at all? Mew~, You're talking about this all so... frankly..." It got her thinking again. "Are you a robot?"

Killing another student? Were these...Whatever they were, Kuro had long given up on attempting to call them teddy bears after that display with their teacher, actually serious? There was no way they could kill another one of them. Then again...Considering they were sailing on the blue sea with no island around nor anyone else on the boat besides them didn't bode well for Kuro. He had to do what he could for now and if that's holding his tongue unless someone else would kill then that's what he would do.

"There...There's no way we would..." Kuro trailed off. Thankfully most of the others had the same thoughts as him. A few however did seem to either be okay with the idea. He made a mental note to be cautious, he didn't want to completely close them off, but he needed to look out for himself first. For now, he decided to stay quiet, still trying to process everything.

As the students each made their rounds around the ship, getting used to what space they have, they all headed to their respective rooms for the night. Little did they know, the spark of despair, as small as it was, had already taken root. As the sun rose on a new day, there was a feeling of unshakeable dread.

heart of gold, or lies been told?

    The answer to his question came from the other little puppet thing, who boldy announced that he was known as "Monotora." Shifting his attention to the tiger, or supposedly a tiger-like creature, it was grotesque to say the least in describing what he just saw happen right in front of his eyes. A bounded teacher. Yuka could see the desperation in their eyes. His gentle, placid face suddenly contorted into an expression of extreme confusion and shock. "W-what are you gonna do with that guy? Is he our teacher?" he shouted, getting a little antsy now. Instead of getting a reply, the teacher was kicked into the air, and like out of a dinosaur thriller movie, landed upon a gigantic shark-like creature's mouth and swallowed the poor staff whole.

    20201113_140615.jpg

    Yuka started shaking uncontrollably. What was this feeling? Was this the feeling of despair he had heared of? The sun's lovely warmth had suddenly become scorching to him, and the blue skies that he thought were once pretty to look at, made his eyes burn. His throat felt dry once more but he looked around at his classmates. They too, were ridden with fear, some worse than others. With that, it was like he summoned an inner strength that was buried deep within him. This was not the time to cower in defeat. Glancing straight back at the puppets, he held his own body, forcing himself to stop vibrating. He sighed and converted the twinge of despair he had felt earlier to fuel a righteous anger.

    The puppets had said that the only way out of this nighmarish land for some, is to kill a fellow student of theirs. How despicable, he thought. Pointing a finger at the Monokumas, Yuka shouted with his courteous tone, now void, "Just you watch, y-you murderers. Yeah that's what you are. I have faith," he paused, giving his fellow Ultimates a scrutinizing look, "that these fellow future leaders, will not bow down or succumb to your will."

    Keeping a frown on his face, he continued his talk, "We will find a way out of this, without having to resort to something so barbaric." Putting a smile now, he waved at everyone, "I'll make sure to be there for everyone of you, know that we can win against such horrible forces of...of- Despair!" He held back a few tears, saying it, hoping his speech would get into his fellow victims' hearts. Sadly, there were already quite a few people who were disinterested, or had already left before he had finished talking. To that, he felt a bit downcast, but he picked himself right back up. "It's okay, even though you guys might think I'm not one to you yet, I volunteer to be your friend." Holding out his hand for no one in particular. "Now I'll go ahead and get the useful tech in my room. I'll be back here, if you need me."

    Walking to the door where he first came from, he looked in back of him. SURELY no one was planning to try to pull off a murder on the first day, right? He wasn't so sure, but he wanted to believe that everyone's moral compass would guide them to not kill. Even the ones that don't look so nice, he was sure that they too would think twice before doing something so disgusting. He just couldn't believe that was the "correct" way out of this mess, if he had done that in his hometown, almost anywhere in fact, he'd get arrested.

    However, in a ship where one is currently secluded from the world...those heavy consequences that the actual world would give to people who commit crime, is void here in this vast ocean, which goes on for who knows how long. Maybe he was just being too hopeful of his other passengers. Despite that fact, he trudged on. He was thinking too much, and not enough doing.

    In the familiar labyrinth, he found a hallway, with rooms. Not just any rooms, but ones that were made distinct by little cartoony portraits, clearly showing which belonged to who. How come I haven't noticed this, passing by earlier. Oh well. He found a little picture of him stapled next to a door. "...this must be mine," he said muttering to himself. Closing the door, and locking it for the time being. He found a little pad laying on a bed. His bed. Picking it up, a white light brushed his face. "Ah....I see."

    ---

    "I'm back everyone!" Putting the pad down on his jean pocket. He looked around. How long had he been in his room? The sun was going down fast, and the crowd of people from earlier had become few coming back. "...Well umm, I could help anyone with anything, also don't forget your PDAs! I'm here for you guys, like I said earlier." Smiling, he stood there, checking his pad occasionally. He was going to wait a bit more before going anywhere else. Another reason was that he knew being out in the open was usually safer. Getting cornered in a room...he knew that wouldn't make for a pretty situation. Though after a while, nobody came to him. So he made his way to his room and gently locked it. He'll try to get to know more of the other people tomorrow, but right now he needed a good long rest.

Dozzco didn't answer at first, letting Momo's uncertainty play out in full before stretching and pulling her oddly designed coat open a bit to slip her clipboard into a pocket on the inside. Pulling it tight again, she proceeded to pace in the center of the room for a moment as she looked over the medical station. They'd looked over everything obvious so far, and she'd managed to catalogue everything that they had to work with. She briefly glanced outside of the room for a moment, only to realize that it had taken longer than it seemed at first.

"The dog thing is barely a factor, sweetheart.:33:" she admitted whilst continuing to scan the room "Given the circumstances, I'd expect Ultimates to come in all shapes and sizes. But there wasn't just blood staining that Doggie outfit of his.:lennymeh:"

She stopped in the center of the room and looked up towards the ceiling of it, her hand absently twirling the pen in her hand as her visor went blank, "The smell... the smells of abuse weren't even slightly subtle. The frantic call for an elder sibling despite the tinge of fear in the voice at the mention of it, the wild look in his eyes not even comparable to the others' various states of panic, immediate seclusion and isolation despite clear desires for guidance, visible wounds seemed concentrated on the back and thighs indicating a misplaced power dynamic in conjunction with the stench of alcohol, bodily fluids and cigarette smoke despite lack of physical signs of substance indulgence in the facial features."

Dozzco lowered her head as she raised her pen and tapped at her chin, taking a moment to think before looking back to Momo with a question mark on her visor.

"Oh right!:o" she suddenly siad before rubbing at the back of her head, "Sorry, got a lil' carried away there.:closedeyessmile: Long story short, my ability kinda necessitates me being on the ball with this kinda stuff, but you can just ignore it if ya want. With that she made her way towards the door, pausing to pat Momo on the shoulder as she did, "But just remember that an eye-catching outfit can't be used as conclusive evidence in regards to the wearer's internal diagnostics, so you just keep on being adorable, okay?;) I think we've done enough for tonight."

But as she stepped outside of the medical station, Dozzco paused before tossing her pen in the air and catching it, "And no, hon.:lennyslash: I'm not a robot, in my line of business this kinda thinking's pretty standard-issue, but good folks like yourself don't gotta concern yourselves with it. Dozzco was already up, having spent the majority of her night examining the PDA and its features and spending the majority of her morning doing some light redecorating in her room. When Monotora's morning announcement had come on, she was already outside of her room testing the PDA's locking features. She kneeled in front of her door trying to open it, unlocking it to swing it open a few times then locking it before repeating the process. She eyed the edge of the door throughout this process, only slowing down when the announcement caught up with her.

Figuring it was a good a time as any to start working, she stood up before stretching and locking her door one more time. Checking the handle, she turned and proceeded to make her way towards the dining area. It wasn't to eat, of course, she'd handled that during her late night PDA investigation. No, she figured the best thing to do right now was to get a better example of who was willing to follow through with those few goals set yesterday. After all, she had said that meeting up over some filling breakfast would help them act with more rational than before. She needed to see who would be willing to appear at Breakfast, as it would go a long way in helping her fill out more of the character diagnostics she'd been performing.

And so it was that Dozzco made her way to the same place where the buffet had been served to them yesterday, more than eager to just sit down and keep tabs on who showed up for an hour or two. Pen and hand and clipboard ready, she'd be getting a good start on data collection today.

Kiera Kross ~ Ultimate Technician
Kiera sheepishly ventured off to find her room after her little speech. A few students acknowledged what she was trying to say but it definitely could’ve gone better. After a bit of searching, and stealthily following some other students, she found her way to her room. The blonde quickly made her way inside and locked the door behind her. As much as she wanted to believe no one would play this sick game they were forced into she wasn’t prepared to take the risk.

It was then that she noticed this supposed PDA that they had each been given. “Seems pretty basic.” Kiera said to herself. Looking over the device. She quickly got familiar with how it worked changing the temperature in her room to her optimum comfort level and double checking her door was locked. Before she played with the PDA more it was probably a good idea to get ready for bed. Kiera went into the bathroom and got changed as well as brushed her teeth.

Once in bed Kiera pulled out her PDA again and started looking at the map. She had a better idea of how to get around after studying it for a while, but she thought it was best to keep the PDA on her at all times. It was possible she would need it at a moment’s notice. As she started to fall asleep Kiera decided to read through the rules. The rules quickly scared her into the reality of the situation they were in. “That’s enough reading for tonight.” Kiera yawned, using the PDA to dim the lights in her room.

~~~~~~~~~~~
“It is now 7am, rise and shine students.” A familiar voice played in her room. Kiera stretched her arms out high above her head before sitting up in bed. Surprisingly she slept pretty well given the situation. Clearly she was exhausted from the stress of yesterday. The blonde then jumped slightly at a low grumble sound. When it sounded again she realised it was her stomach. In all the excitement yesterday she hadn’t actually grabbed any food from the feast. “Okay let’s get a shower and then see if we can find some food.” Kiera mumbled to herself.
The blonde quickly hopped in the shower and got changed, making sure she grabbed the PDA before heading out. She was tempted to knock on someone’s door to see if anyone wanted to walk with her back to the top deck, but she didn’t feel comfortable enough with anyone yet. The top deck seemed the best place to go, it was probably where everyone else would meet up again and she figured their captives would’ve probably put out another spread for them.
Kiera locked her door and then started heading in the direction of the top deck when she saw Dozzco up ahead. As nervous as she was it seemed better to walk with someone else. “Hey Dozzco! Wait up!” She called, jogging slightly to catch up. “Good morning!” Kiera smiled, running a hand through her hair once she had caught up. “Are you heading to the top deck for breakfast too?” She asked, trying to make some small talk. “I’m starving!” Kiera chuckled.
OOC ~ Hope it's okay I used the PDA to dim lights in her room. Let me know if not and I'll change it!
Baltorr was reading over his spellbook back in his room when he closed it.
"The night is among us. Looks like a full moon as well."
He walked over his PDA to study the map and smiked.
"Lots of things to do at this time as well."
After a few minutes, he turned the lights off in his room.
Yes... it's time to cause some mischief....
The next day....
Baltorr walked out of his room and yawned. He shuffled through the halls to the dinning room, in a grumpy mood.
As a loud voice rang out over the intercoms, Mikia sat up in bed and pushed her hair out of her face with a yawn, she hadn't slept well. Honestly, she doubted anyone had. Day two on this hell of a boat, she thought to herself. Dragging herself out of bed, Mikia pulled on a fresh set of clothes and got to work making herself look presentable; if she was going to be stuck on this boat, she was going to look good while doing it. Staring at her reflection in the mirror, she saw the toll that yesterday's stress had taken on her appearance, puffy eyes wasn't a cute look.
After finishing her makeup, Mikia walked back over to her bedside table where she'd left the PDA. She'd looked through the device for a few hours the last night and ended up jotting down notes on her fellow ultimates (before falling into a restless sleep). Having information on the others written down made her feel a bit more at ease. Not that she knew much at this point. Hopefully, she'd find out more soon.
Taking the PDA with her, she walked over to the room's door, unlocking it for the first time since she'd entered. Poking her head outside the door, she looked around the hallway and then stepped outside her room. After locking the door behind her with her PDA, Mikia set out on a search for something to eat. That bear had said they'd be provided with food and honestly she was starving. Hopefully, she'd run into someone else on her way there. It wasn't that she trusted anyone else here really. If there was anything she'd learned through writing the blog it was that people have secrets. Anyway, she had no intention to avoid talking to people, it wouldn't be like her at all to do that. Especially since it would give her a chance to do one of her favorite things, getting information on others.
After wandering around for a while, the boat was pretty big (if it wasn't for the circumstances she'd have thought it was a nice vacation spot), Mikia stumbled into Dozzca and Kiera on their way to the top deck. After hearing Kiera inquire about breakfast, Mikia approached the pair. "Hey! I was on my way to get breakfast too. I'm, like, absolutely starving. I'll come with you guys!", she said, joining them on the way to the top deck.
Ryuji Kazan
It didn't take Ryuji any more than a minute or so to locate the e-Handbook that had been set in his room for him. He picked it up and examined it closely, turning it this way and that to check it for anything that would probably explode or stick him upon turning the device on. Thankfully, the e-Handbook seemed perfectly safe, and so right before Ryuji went to bed, he booted up his e-Handbook and was greeted by his own name on the screen, which he cocked a brow at.
As the Ultimate Pyrotechnician scrolled through the available features, he noticed what seemed like a complete stockpile of information about every student he had met earlier... perhaps a bit too complete, at that. One thing that intrigued him was the apparent ability of the e-Handbook to remotely lock his bedroom door, which he tested a few times. "Neat." He said rather plainly.
With Ryuji's initial inspection of the e-Handbook completed, he brushed his teeth, placed himself in bed, and fell asleep (which was made a bit easier by how his goggles made the room seem darker than it already was).
Ryuji was woken up by Monotora's announcement, and he was half-tempted to flip the tiger off upon being suddenly woken up for a second time (the first was the ship's horn), but he stopped himself. He jumped into the shower (making sure to also clean his goggles off, which he only briefly removed in the process before putting them back on when he was finished) and discovered that his bedroom closet had more than enough identical outfits for Ryuji to wear-- protective gear and eyeliner included. "Man, for a buncha psychos, they sure got every last detail right about my clothes... even the character on the blast shield and... my eyeliner. Damn."
After suiting up and sticking a match in the corner of his mouth for trademark's sake, Ryuji collected his e-Handbook and used the integrated map to plot a route to the top deck for breakfast. Before he actually went anywhere, though, Ryuji tested the door-lock feature on his device one last time, and when he was satisfied, he set off in search of food. Along the way, Ryuji spotted Dozzco, Kiera, and Mikia. Raising a hand, he greeted them with a simple "'Sup."
Ryuji's stomach growled as he remembered that even though the buffet had been set out yesterday, the only thing he really took from it was the fox cupcake, but he didn't eat it, choosing to save it for later... if he didn't find it too cute to eat, that was. "Okay, this time for real... I'm going to actually eat something. I can't work on an empty stomach. I've tried, and... let's just say that it's a good thing I'm wearing this." Ryuji pointed to the blast shield across his chest. "This has saved me from becoming a human donut more times than I can count." Ryuji exhaled as he narrowed his eyes and slumped forward a bit in annoyance. "Dammit, now I want donuts..." Straightening himself back up, Ryuji positioned himself near the other three students. "I wouldn't mind joining you guys for breakfast... that is, if you don't mind, yourselves." He looked to Kiera, and added: "After all, it was you who said we oughta work together, yeah? It's the least we can do while we're all on this tin tub."
The more Momo listened to this woman talk, the less she liked her. It was one thing to assume that someone was being abused with no proof, another thing to assume that being a victim had to mean something was wrong with you, but to talk about something like that in such a detached, cinical way, like a doctor breaking the news about a suspiscious wart... It made Momo start thinking about things she tried to avoid imagining, and all of the sudden she started feeling sick. She fell into a quiet daze until Dozzco excused herself to her room for the night. Maybe it was cruel of her to think it, but Momo was a bit glad to see her leave. The sooner this robot lady was gone, the sooner she could go back to not thinking about... Well, anything, to be honest, but espescially that.
"G-Goodnight..." She said with a quiet whimper, and she stumbled back to her room in silence. She lay awake in her bed for a few hours, unable to rest her worried mind, but eventually her eyelids got too heavy to keep open.
___________________________________________________________________
When she woke up the next morning, she was surprised to find herself refreshed and ready to take on the day. In fact, she had a plan; If she was as confident and outgoing as possible, she'd weird everyone out and scare them all away. She knew that from expierience. No one would go near her if she acted weird- No one would mess with a crazy guy. After all, what kind of weirdo would want to be around other people willingly?
She made her way to the kitchen and could already see everyone else gathered there through the glass doors. Taking a deep breath, she burst through the doors with a pep in her step and a loud and clear greeting.
"Good morning, everyone! Mew, mew, mew~" She chirruped, making her way over to the buffet immediately. "Oooh, grits. Does anyone have a seat at their table to spare, mew?" She said, overpronouncing her tic and sounding overly enthusiastic to make everyone as uncomfortable as possible. To seal the deal, she mimed licking the back of her fist through her mask and pretended to wash her ears with it.
(Pause)(1. No one is there besides you and 2. Thank you for this.)
The smell of the Kitchen was undeniable, a smell of singed meat and melting fabric. The smell was not only strong and pungent, but the overall amount would cause bile to rise up in anyone's mouth. All along the ground black strips of ash and soot extended from the door to the far corner of the room.
There were signs of what could have been a struggle, pots and pans strewn about in disarray. A few specks of blood dotted the surface of the far right wall all leading to a crumpled, charred, barely recognizable body. If not for the half burned dog head beside the corpse, the body would be otherwise unidentified.
As soon as Momo had looked up from her anime cat-girl act, she realized that she was the only one in the kitchen.
"Oh..." She muttered, slightly deflated. Looks like she'd phsyched herself up so much that she hadn't even noticed. What she did notice, though, was that disgusting smell. It was as if salmon could be raw and burnt to a crisp at the same time, or like putting your tounge against your metal fillings while walking past a construcion site. Her nose twitching, she followed the trail of the smell until it lead her to a trail of ash on the floor. She'd thought she was the first one here, but had someone burned something? Whatever it had been, it was large, and it looked like it'd been dragged along the floor. She followed the trail behind the buffet counter, lifting her mask up just enough to hold her nose. She was afraid that the smell would make her pass out otherwise.
The kitchen was almost completely charred black, and the lump in the corner was charred black too, so black that she almost didn't notice it. And she probably wouldn't have, if it weren't for the splashes of neon pink; On the floor, the counters, the walls, everywhere. There was blood everywhere.
A choked sob escaped from between her lips as she slowly pulled her mask back down to fully cover her face again. Then, as soon as she caught sight of the detached mascot head, Momo let out a bone-rattling shriek.
Before she even got close to the buffet area, Dozzco found herself being joined one by one as others heeded Monotora's call and drew near. First was Kiera, who seemed eager to join her on the way to breakfast. The moment she mentioned food, Miaki appeared as well with an identical plan for sustenance.
"Oh I'm not much for eating in front of others.^_^" she explained before tapping the side of her visor as it gave a wink "Consider me a shy eater, just trying to keep tabs on who might've taken our lil meet-up idea seriously. Figured investigating would be easier once everyone's awake and well-fed, after all. But I'd be happy for some company on the way.;)"
No sooner had she finished did Ryuji appear, greeting them in a fairly straightforward manner before openly admitting to his lack of capability when it came to hunger. Dozzco tilted her head as she followed his gesturing hands towards the blast shield on his chest, folding her arms as he declared both his hunger and his willingness to work together in equal manners. Dozzco shrugged, turning to continue on her way to the buffet as she spoke.
"Well we better get you fed then, bud.:o" she stated "Come on, while you guys eat I could fill you in on what I found last-"
She was interrupted by Monotora announcing that the food would be served in the kitchen. It seemed that the buffet offering was only to celebrate their arrival. Dozzco nodded at this information as she pulled out her pda and scrolled through a few menus. It made sense, it wasn't like they were being served regularly here. The Mono bros were focused on the killing game, means of survival would be provided only to achieve that goal. Once she'd brushed up on where the kitchen was, she pocketed her pda on the inside of her coat before pulling her clipboard out instead.
"Then I guess its to the kitchen we go.:/:" she declared as she gestured towards the others and diverted her path to the kitchen "No problem, just means we have more opportunities to spot things on the ship. No problem.:csmile:"
As they made their way to the first floor of the vessel, Dozzco did her best to note everything she could without slowing their progress. Once they'd reached the first floor, she noted that their captors hadn't been lying when mentioning the Medical station on each floor. Seeing it reminded Dozzco of what she had mentioned earlier.
"Ah, that's right!:kissopeneyes:" she snapped her fingers "Momo and I did an inventory of one of the medical stations last night, all the medicine and first aid supplies we could ask for.:grinningteeth: If the Food stores are as impressive, I'd say we won't be going hungry any time soon. Not to say we'll be here for long, just that-"
Her words were cut short by an ear-piercing shriek coming from the direction of the kitchen, a voice that she recognized immediately, "Momo?:D:"
Dozzco wasted no time, tucking her clipboard under her arm and jogging the rest of the way to the kitchen. As she drew closer, the smell became more and more apparant. Burnt flesh and fabric, not the smell of any cooked meal that Dozzco knew. Even without the guide of her PDA, Dozzco would've found the Kitchen by the overwhelming stench alone. Upon throwing open the kitchen door, she held a hand up to her visor for a moment as her gaze went down to the strips of ash and soot at the door.
As her eyes followed that trail, they revealed a scene of true chaos. From the scattered pots and pans to the specks of blood which had been splattered lightly on the right wall.
And sitting before it all was Momo, on her knees sobbing. Dozzco approached at first, only to pause as she saw what Momo was looking at. All the chaos in the kitchen led to the smoldering form of a barely-identifiable corpse, beside it was an immediately recognizable dog head.
"Ah damn it.:angrypuff:" Dozzco murmured as she came to a stop a ways away from Momo, shaking her head before raising her clipboard and flipping to a fresh page, "This was exactly what I was afraid would happen.:lennyslash:"
Though she sighed, her hand immediately started writing.
Mikia walked with Dozzca, Kiera, and the newly-arrived Ryuji as they made their way to the kitchens for food. Whatever they were gonna have better be good, she thought. Mikia nodded along as Ryuji talked about the clothes provided for him. Whoever supplied the outfits really had done well, if she was staying on this ship, at least she'd be doing it dressed cute. Dozzca had begun talking about how she and Momo had checked out the medical supplies. Before Mikia could respond, a bloodcurdling scream resounded throughout the hallway. Mikia watched as Dozzca immediately took off in the direction of the scream, and threw a terrified glance in Ryuji's direction before running that way herself. As she came upon the kitchens, an acrid smell hit her nose. God, ew, what the hell was that smell, she thought, resisting the urge to gag. Whoever had been cooking was clearly god-awful at it, what could even make that kind of smell? She really missed her family's chef back home.
Finally coming upon the kitchens, the smell hit her full force and the first thing she saw was the black. The room was charred. It looked as if someone had set it on fire. But that didn't explain that awful smell. A sound near the floor called her attention to Momo, crouched on the floor sobbing, eyes fixed on something in front of her. Mikia followed Momo's gaze and that was when she saw it. Oh god, there was blood. Spattered against the walls, spattered against the floors, and in the center was the charred, decapitated mascot head worn by the passed out boy from last night. Oh god. Mikia resisted the urge to faint, putting a hand against the wall to stabilize herself.
She quickly drew her hand back, it was now covered in ash like the rest of the room. Mikia stared at her hand, before suddenly rubbing it against her shirt, she didn't want the ash on her hand, she didn't want part of that room on her hand. After she had managed to remove a majority of the ash from her hand and calmed a bit, Mikia finally looked back at the body. Whoever that was, the boy in the dog costume, they had been murdered. She didn't even know him, but he had been murdered. And that meant.....that meant someone else on this boat was a killer. Someone had already taken Monokuma's offer.
Pulled out of her stupor by Dozzca's voice next to her, Mikia looked over as Dozzca began writing things on her clipboard. She looked unphased. How was she so calm? Mikia looked back over to the floor where Momo was still sobbing and then down at herself, refusing to look back at the body; she didn't want to see it again. Mikia's shirt was now covered in ash from the burnt wall. She was going to have to change clothes. Which seemed like a silly thing to be thinking about, but it was better than the charred body a few feet away from her. For now, she left the room, looking for a seat in the untouched room leading to the kitchen. It was probably best for her to sit down, she still felt lightheaded, and she needed to think.
Sitting down, she let a few tears slip out of her eyes. Wiping them away with her unblackened hand, Mikia forced her brain to think. What to do now? Someone was dead. They had to figure out who did it, didn't they? God, why couldn't she just be back home? With her clothes and her money and her blog. She'd never have to deal with any of this back there, and that was how she liked it. Taking a deep breath in, she calmed herself. The only way to try and get home was by trying to figure out who did this. That was the first step, so that was what she'd do. Sitting in the chair, she waited for more people to show up, she knew they would. Then, she'd start trying to figure out what happened.
