Galactic Princess
Silas took a deep breath of fresh air, he was lounging in a boat he had found, it was beached. The old rowboat was definitely abandoned but Silas found a little piece of paradise with it. Looking up at the blue sky his honey-colored eyes shined with the promise the day would bring. People were no doubt bustling about, time marches forward after all. The Roman empire was no more and the remnants were on the way, people were bustling and new inventions were being created. Art was on the rise. This was supposed to be the re-birth of society, the humans were quite interesting. The man pulled himself from the boat and dusted the sand off of his clothing, he looked similar to that of a pirate, he did love loose white shirts that showed off his chest. He hummed to himself as he walked along the beach, he wasn't far from a city, he could easily pop over and view the humans. But, he felt he needed to go see the other balances. He was sure they were all working, after all without them the world would fall apart, there would be no direction for anything. Nothing would happen, no new lives, no deaths, no emotions, no... anything. How boring. But, thankfully all the balances were here, and it was Silas's job to make sure things stayed just that, balanced.
His boots soon found the grass and eventually, he found the hard dirt that was well-traveled, it was a road that would eventually bring him to a bustling stone-paved road that would be bustling with morning people. Children and adults alike, and probably some animals too. No doubt plague would be about, and Death might be lingering somewhere nearby. Fate... hopefully wasn't causing anything too terrible happen. Day was probably bouncing around and keeping the sun in place, Night was likely on the other side of the world, enjoying his darkness. Of course, he was sure Life was around, probably with Evolution and Water too, or Wind. Lots of possibilities, Silas could see all of the possibilities of what could happen for the day, but it was up to the others to set things in motion. He just had to keep things moving forward, time shouldn't stop after all. When he finally made it to the city he could hear a tavern already having laughs and commotion, a band was no doubt playing with the music that trickled into the street. A feline rubbed against his pant leg and the man smiled softly, leaning down to pet the kitten, humans were always interesting to investigate. He hoped his balances were nearby, he'd hate to leave the happiness of the people, but of course, he had to eventually. In time he would.
Morana was doing her job, like always. She had no real understanding of day or night, she couldn't see after all. The only thing she could see was the floating orbs and the little times above them, they always counted down to 0, but she could only see those that needed to die within three hours. She had been in the city for a long time now, taking the lives of those who were too sick to go on, a few women who died during childbirth or whose baby didn't make it, a man who got mugged outside and a kid who tripped and fell. Someone took too much medicine, one didn't take enough, someone fell asleep in the tub and one accidentally added lead to their bread instead of flour. She even watched someone make tea from the root of a belladonna flower. There was a kitten who didn't make it, a dog who starved to death, a rat who ate another and a cat who ate a fish. They all had spirits, little white balls of light that told her they weren't balances. They had short lives. In a city that had so much going on Momo tended to float above the heads of others, avoiding touching anyone, and harboring the spirits in her abdomen. She would need to find life soon, her better half no doubt needed some new spirits to make new life.
Momo paused in a spot where there wasn't anyone, there were no spirits around, not even below her, but she could hear music. Looking around she figured she was in a small area, a are she could relax alone. She had to focus and held her hands out, feeling for walls. After a moment she felt a wall and then another, she was in a small alley, away from others, no one could see her. She stayed invisible, or at least invisible to humans, the other balances would always be able to see her. Even if she didn't know how to dance, or didn't know what the hell dancing looked like, she loved to do it anyway. Moving her body to the beat of the music and happily giggling to herself, she was more than happy to boogie down so long as no one was around. She just wanted a short break from killing others. From taking spirits and putting them in her abdomen. As much as she felt it was a comfort for them, she preferred to let things live. A few moments without death wouldn't be too bad. Of course, Silas would say otherwise, but Momo just wanted to dance. She wanted to pretend she was perfectly safe to just... relax. At least for a little while.
