Seven seemed outwardly confident. That was good. She once again reaffirmed Gab's trust in her ability to lead a team. And her ability to be a great asset. Gabs was happy to be assigned this team. They were balanced and could work together. The soldier smiled at the both of them "I think you two are ready." She said "I have packed bags for the two of you with supplies for a week. The plan is not to stay out there for that long however anything can happen." She said, already getting up "if the two of you are ready, follow me."

She would wait for them to agree before heading out towards the main hallway. They would pass the staff quarters on their way out, the other guardians would usually give Gabs a nod as she passed and she would return the gesture. Gabs took them all the way to the big heavy armoured door and looked back at them "Ready?" She asked a final time

The guardians acknowledgment of the pairs abilities only made Seven feel more empowered that she was right in saying what she did to Twelve.
“Ready Mam”
She returned happily taking the supplies hoisting it on her back by the straps and cinching them down so it didn’t move around to much.
“Come on Twelve, lets see what the outside is for ourselves”

She breathed warmly holding out his own bag so he could put his arms in without grazing his freshly wrapped wounds.
After she would help adjust his stuff before joining the guardian stopping at the armored portal that was the entrance to an unknown world for the angels.
Seven was excited and nervous a knot welling in her stomach.

“No matter what...”

She reiterated under her breath her eyes betraying the deadly focus and intent once more that her features lacked as they resembled her usual calm and warm composure.
her fists tightened around the straps of her bag.
Seven was about to venture into a new world, one like she had never seen before. She could only hope that whatever awaited them out there They prepared for in here.

“Let’s get a move on then” he thought to himself while smirking and then turning around headed to the debriefing room. Though as excited as he felt deep down he felt oddly calm. It was kind of a happy feeling but....no not happy at peace is better to describe it. Though still this wasn't the underlying feeling that was in his heart the feeling that he had was......focused. Number 17 had felt an extreme wave of focus come over him as he felt like he was dead-eye accurate. He felt light and felt like he could outrun a car. His hearing became so sensitive he heard small voices through the walls. His nose was so keen he could smell the products in Guardian Deacon's hair and the slight burn from the iron on Number 13's pants. The feeling was too real and too good....he felt so alive and it was so hard to hold in so he bit his tongue down and took some deep breaths until the feeling went away. "I'll save that for the trip" he though to himself as he started to notice the line of guardians and the other team he was supposed to be going with.

The door was opened and a rush of wind sweat the corridor, throwing back their hair. The sunlight was temporarily blinding due to the white hue they were used to. The landscape was barren. Desert sand was all around, and there wasn’t so much as a shrub or a weed for miles.

Gab pulled out a device that looked like a compass but had a digital face “We all should have one of these” she said to her team “It is important that you keep it safe, it will show us the way back to base from wherever we are.”
She took a step out into the open and took a deep breath. The air was fresh, but the sun was hot on her back. “ Now we will most likely find life if we head towards the coastline, so I’ve decided to go thaT way. The other team has a different direction planned” she told them “Let’s begin.” She said as she looked at the screen of her GPS and began walking north.

Twelve squinted against the light. Everything was so bright out there. He adjusted his backpack, taking the -GPS?- out of it. He moved forward, trying to stick close to Guardian Gabriella and Seven. He knew he wouldn’t be able to fight anything off, not in this bright place. There weren’t any shadows for him to manipulate. He’d be dead if something came for him.

The guardian announced that they would be headed to the coast and that meant one thing...the beach.
Seven had seen documents from before the war called magazines that held images of women in basically underwear posing on beaches the sun beaming on them as the clear water lapped up onto the sands. Sometimes she saw images of families playing and having picnics there as well.
The momentary image of all the angels hanging out on the beach surfaced in her brain but twelve being at the beach didn’t seem so appealing he would probably just hide under and umbrella and sulk with thirteen.
Seven walked briskly behind the guardian allowing her to lead the way as she studied her surroundings. Partially out of curiousity but more out of security. With the sun this high Twelves powers would not be very helpful except for the shadows each person cast. So it would be up to her to defend them if an attack occurred.
“I hope the beach isn’t like this, I mean there has to be someplace that was left untouched by the wars right?”
she asked softly continuing to scan for any life forms or enemies, all the while sticking close to Twelve.
