Fandom RWBY: Adventures in Vale [No Longer Accepting]

"ursas live in caves, and ursas are crazy," Beo muttered her usual joking excuse, Her hands were refreshing for some reason Then she shook her head and took a deep breath, "Don't like tight spaces make me nervous. Lets just take care of that thing and get back to hunting. In fact allow me." She charged the Ursa and focused her aura. "Ogan,"She whispered and a lion made of firey energy formed out of her Aura and charged. The Ursa awoke roaring in pain but was rudely interrupted by two axes in the stomach. Beo grunted as the two pierced deep into the Bear grimms flesh, then with a sound of strained effort she ripped them through the bears whole stomach. The ursa screamed and died, it's still burning remains scattering into ash. "There." Beo said,"Lets go look somewhere else for relics."

"Now you're just showing off..." Mel said though she was somewhat impress by Beo's semblance.


"Where else? The Cave's the only thing here... Don't worry, I'll be there for you like you were for me and the team..." Mel said


"Besides, just close your eyes and we'll go in the cave together okay?" Mel placed her hands over Beo's eyes, "And follow my voice, okay?"


Mel hummed a lullaby.


"Now walk forward, slowly... And please... Be my hero..." Mel whispered to Beo, as she hugged The Faunus.

"I don't know, maybe they're like... super old Dust Crystals. I mean, those are a thing, yeah?" She side stepped the various piles of gore they had created, and walked beside him, her long legs keeping up with ease.


"You mentioned your family was of assholes. Is that like, just in reference to your family dynamic, or is are you like, from a generic rich snob family?" She thought it might have been a little weird to ask that while he was naked and covered in water and dripping with it- Hansi, no. Friendship. You should be friends with your essentially eternal partner.

"Rich snobs, you're right." he said "Ever heard of the Wilkshire family?" he asked "Cos I'm, no was one of them." he continued jogging through the woods, he was in his element, ready to strike and kill anything that'd get in his way.

"Was? Are you somehow not anymore? Does stuff like that happen in Vale or whatever?" Something seemed off about him, like he could strike out at anything at any moment. She hoped she didn't fall under the umbrella of that anything.


"Ok, so like, here me out here, but before we head straight for the chasm, I'd like to see how the two of us work taking down a monster together. Fancy hunting down a little something small?" Maybe he just needed to get some built up tension out?

"Oh." She paused for a moment, not sure what to say.


"Yeah. Let's go 'slaughter some shit' or whatever you said." She said, changing the topic. "I'll head that way, you go this way, first one to find a Grimm and chase it to the other wins. Sound pretty good?" She'd probably let him win, in all honesty, but this might help him blow off some steam.

"Not much of a talker, are you, Suzy?" Not that Lazuli minded. She wasn't much for awkward small talk anyway. Still, it'd be nice if she could tell if she was getting a reaction out o fhim at least. The guy seemed frighteningly calm. The goggles and scarf covering most of his face wasn't helping either. However, that didn't deter her from wanting to bully him. In fact, the opposite really. His perfect, calm facade. She wanted to break it. She had to break it. She couldn't help it. Everytime she saw something nice, she just had to break it.


Without her realizing it, her smile had gotten wider, some might even say creepy. Break it. Break it. Break it. Break it. Break it. Brea-


She seemed to snap out of whatever she was going through when she nearly walked off the edge of the chasm. Forcing herself backwards, she was able to steady herself, inching back. A few more inches back, she stopped moving and crouched down by the edge, looking over. "I guess this is the place. I wonder how deep it is . . . " She stood up and took quick glances between Teal and the chasm. There was a silence.


"Welp, no use dillydallying," she said, right before pushing Teal right in. "Check if it's safe!" she shouted after him. Though it didn't matter if he answered or not because she jumped right in after him, screaming, "Geronimmoooooooo!"


She used some wind dust to slow her descent but still spent most of the way sliding down the rocky side until she reached the bottom, landing in a crouched position. "Well . . . That was fun."

If this is really where we need to go it'll probably open up as we go further down and it'll be less like the the walls are closing in around me. Same formation as outside but keep it tight, Cave fighting's a bitch if there ever was one and I don't want us to get seperated. Sound like a plan guys?"

"You know, if I were in any other mood I'd call this extremely stupid, but since its you, why the hell not?" He asked with a wild grin before charging off further into the forest, ready to slaughter some Grimm.
 
She sighed. Great, he thought she was stupid.


They would have to find to more team members eventually, wouldn't they? That was going to be a pain. She had enough people who didn't like her, and Herb wasn't exactly the most charasmatic guy. A part of her wondered if Sapphire or Oracle was still searching for her? Maybe they had found each other? No, that wouldn't make to much sense, Sapphire had probably made sure to pair with her old friend Jade.


Another rustling. Great, a Grimm had come to her.


"Alright buddy, looks like I'm winning this-" A King Taijutu came slithering out of the bushes, it's eyes piercing into her. "Oh no, no"


Her eyes flashed with an image of blood, sounds of screaming. Flesh being torn from bodies, her own helplessness. She couldn't fight she was just a little girl late for her ballet class. She was useless. Her own voice crying a name. Krishna.


No, snap out of it. stop it, snap out of it, is isn't real you need to fight, Snap out of it!


And she did. She came back to her senses, tears in her eyes, and did what any reasonable hunter would do in a situation like this.


She ran like hell in the other direction, screaming.

Herb grinned as he snapped the Ursas throat with his bare hands, he walked towards Envy and picked it up from where it laid and heard a scream, a fellow trainee or a Grimm? He didn't know or care and began to sprint in its direction. "Whoever the hell you are, I'm backing you up! I'm a force to be reckoned with and I'll save you from whatever peril awaits!"
 
Oh my gosh, was that Herb screaming at her? God, she would hate for him to see her like this but...


"Oh my god, Stop being a show off and help me!!!!!" She cried, running in his general direction. She would have to explain her thing about giant killer snakes later.

Herb ran after her "Hansi! Hansi for the love of god shut up and let the expert save you." he began to sprint and in the distance he could see the snakes slitering tail. He leapt after it and swung his blade, impaling the tip of the snakes tail on Envy. The Grimm stopped and reared at Herb. "We gonna dance pretty boy?" he asked with a smirk.

Lilith almost didn't hear them. She stood at the cave entrance, staring into the darkness that WarZii had vanished into. One hand rested over her scarred, red eye, while her mind wandered into the past...


'Sis, where we going?'


'Exploring, Peggy! Come on!' She had been so excited. When Uncle Kumiho had heard that Dad was taking them camping, he told her there would be caves up here. And she had just found one. She could just imagine the adventures that waited inside and she wanted her little sister to enjoy it with her.


A small hand tugged at her dress. 'Sis. I'm scared.'


Lilith just laughed hugged the small girl. 'Don't be. Kumiho said it was safe. There's nothing to be scared of.' But as she spoke, she caught something move out of the corner of her eye. What was that, she wondered, letting go of her sister and taking a few steps towards the cave.


'Lilith! Peggy!' she heard her dad's voice suddenly shouting, 'Get away from there!'


'Aww! But Dad-" she started, turning to look at her dad, but then stopped. Both him and Mark were running towards them, and the look their eyes were of pure terror. Why were they scared? There was nothing to be-


Next to her, Peggy screamed.


Snapping her head around towards the cave, her vision was instantly filled by eight glowing, red eyes, and two glistening, black fangs, dripping with venom. Then her eye began to burn...


"...What do you guys think? A group would have a better chance of survival"


Mel's voice snapped her out of the painful memory as she realized that she was being asked a question. "Oh...y-yeah. Sounds good."


Calm down, she told herself. This wasn't the same cave. There wasn't a defenseless six year old tagging along. Everyone here could protect themselves.

She was completely useless in this situation and she knew it. God, this was embarrasing.

Great, what an outstanding display of the courage expected of a huntress. She just hoped no one else saw her running from a Grimm like an idiot. She realized that outside of this school, running from a giant two headed snake was probably the logical response, but as Hansi had told Tealiose earlier, she wasn't much in the way of common sense.

Herb ignored her and as the snakes heads struck at him he sliced at them, causing large gashes in their faces. "Come on, come on hit me you overgrown earthworms!" he said, he began to glow an odd shade of green and his eyes went wild and danced around. He then took one hand away from Envy's hilt and blasted the monster with a beam of green energy. The left head then collapsed on the ground, it became apparent that the beam had fried its brain thanks to the smoke billowing from where its eyes had once been. "Come on, take a fucking piece of this you fuck!"
 
"Kill it, kill it, kill it, kill it!!!" was long gone past him, terrified of the happenings behind her.


Eventually, she calmed down, taking a moment to rest. Maybe she should go back and help her partner?


The memory of those red eyes flashed in her mind, and she decided against it.


Maybe, maybe she should look for Sapphire, or even Oracle. I mean, maybe they weren't stuck in full teams yet?


"Well. I've got nothing better to do, since I sort of ditched Herb or whatever."


(@anyone but sapphire, oracle and their partners. Since they aren't teamed yet, meeting hansi now would technically mess some things up)
 

T E A L





Teal walked to the very edge looking down scanning the depths, something was down there alone with signatures the heat in the walls. Dangerous and spooky down there...Just what he liked. And just as he was about to jump in he was pushed in he placed himself so he was going straight down "I see our relationship has gotten to touching, wish you would push harder because killing me is just what you want..." Teal says sarcastically still in a chill sense his arms crossed as he fell feet first. As they approached the bottom he threw down the gadgets again and an area of vibrating waves was made again, once he hit it he slowed immensely and eventually the gadgets broke and he landed bending down. He looked up his goggles turning a bright red as he scanned the area. This sure was old.



Teal looked to the girl "Really old....also something really big is nearby" Teal says scanning the walls and floors until he looked behind them into darkness, which he could see into and saw the heat signature of what looked to be a normal human being running towards them but he did not trust his readings. His boomerang rotated at his side he flung them forward to light the area, they slowly moved across the top of the structure lighting it to see a running Hei. He quickly pulled back the boomerangs and let out a deep breath "Not exactly what I was expecting...Hello person..." he says putting the two boomerangs back on his belt they shrunk and easily slid back into his pockets. Normally the were small when rotating and once he threw them they expanded outwards then shot out the wire. Just how they worked, except one made quite the amount of air, Wind and ones annoyingly whistled, Whistle.

Maybe. Maybe if she headed into the chasm she could find Sapphire and Oracle. Better them than whatever friends Herb might have.


Yeah. She'd find teammates first, then run back and get Herb. That was a good plan, right?


She took off at another run towards the chasm, this one more determined and less frightful. She really wished she had packed another granola bar. She was starting to get snacky. "I really should get an outfit with more pockets."

"I"m down for having a little harem I could called my own." WarZii said jokingly with a forced laugh, "Sorry. That was a bad joke, but on a serious note I have no problem working together. I'll serve as vanguard." He rolled his left shoulder again gritting his teeth. WarZii picked up the Chem-lite he dropped and proceeded down deeper into the cave. "Try not to stray too far behind."
