Fantasy The Five Kingdoms - The Fall of Sarthenfall - OOC

Should we timeskip...

  • The rest of the game and jump to the two month timeskip?

  • Skip over the next round and play the last round

  • Don’t skip at all, and play all rounds?

I really have no big ideas. I honestly like the world of Sarthenall. I mean it could be same world but a different story. See what we could do with the world,

But even then the issue is the fact of us not knowing how magic works in this world? Perhaps it has a maddening effect on people? Or maybe it is far too dangerous to learn. You can't just throw magic in a world all willy nilly.

I mean, I’ve been revisiting old obsessions (*cough cough* MIANITE *CouGH HACK!*)recently and it brought an idea about a world where cities float, people have wings and magic is abundant

I mean I do have a custom world and all of that I can work with. Not sure if it's the AU you all would like or not but it is an option.

General idea magic comes from everyones ability to manipulate Mana. But to learn it you need formulas for a special spell. But the issue is Magic is heavily volatile. Mess up and it can bite you hard. And how hard it is depends on what you are trying to cast.

Water: Very easy to do. Mostly due to all magic under it simply being manipulation of it. But nothing offensive unless you get creative.

Healing/light: These two fall under the same category. A little more moderate in terms of difficulty but the consequences are not the worst. Just never try to ressurect unless you know what are doing.

Fire: One of the harder forms of magic, and the consequences are potentially deadly now. As the forms of magic under this are assault based, battle mages typically use this as a starting school.

Lightning: As difficult as Fire but the consequences are more dangerous. The next step in learning after fire.

Necromancy: Mostly banned from learning. Highly difficult and very deadly consequences for failing. Plus tons of moral issues.

Ice: Odd due to the fact this is an inbetween. Usually in terms of learning in between fire and light magic. Non of the consequences of failing are deadly but expect odd changes to your mood and body when using this. Most ice mages are shut ins.

sarthenfall + magic + floating cities + Magic is heavily volatile. Mess up and it can bite you hard. And how hard it is depends on what you are trying to cast + elements + secondary elements + fantasy

alright what i'm coming up with is a lowkey sarthenfall X avatar the last airbender au theme mix (no need for extensive avatar knowledge)

it'll simplify the magical aspect of things since complex systems sometimes scare a few people off. also, it'll give people less of a confusing chance of being overpowered

Some random possible EXAMPLES of this mixed AU
  • Magic: Air/Fire/Water/Earthbending manipulation. With secondary elements (open for development In Character) Sand/Lightning/Ice/Metal. We can add other elements such as light and darkness too. The reality of it all is that some people are born with bending abilities while others are not. It's simply based off of genetics. To add even more twists to it all, elemental powers usually show its first signs between the ages of 10-30. Good luck.
  • Map: we could mix it up and make it more diverse. Since all the Sarthenfall kingdoms are based off European countries. Maybe Northern kingdom can be based off European countries, Southern tribes can be based off African countries, Eastern Nation can be based off Asian countries, and Western Nomads can be based off Middle Eastern countries. ANYTHING UNDERLINED IS SUBJECT TO POSSIBLE CHANGE.After all, these are merely off the top of my head examples.
    • NOTE: This is for the MAP. Influencing only the culture and geographical aspects of a territory rather than human appearances.
  • Original touch: each powered person has their own special ability. rough example: people with water powers can shoot water out of their hands but character A's special ability is ice breath..idk but it draws the picture
  • Possible plot points: Non-powered people try to take powered people down (vice versa; ONLY THING inspired by Avatar Korra)/ One kingdom tries to take everyone down (inspired by Avatar Aang)/ There's a secret unknown part of the map, a state trying to take over/ Random dark magic dude tries to take over (inspired by Soris).
    • OH or Non-powered people are led by dark magic dude to try and take powered people down. BUT No one knows the dark magic dude has..dark magic and they all think he's just eliminating powered people for safety. BUT he's really doing it so he can be the only powered dude in the world (inspired by Xanto's late night mind).
^bunch of nighttime rambling. We can build off something like this or I could come up with another mix from your ideas

That is cool.
Annabel: "I am Asian in this world?"
Baxter: . . No. You are Ezerisian. However, for this example instead of an Italian atmosphere in Ezeris it can possibly be a mix of Asian cultures.

Other things subject to change = names of kingdoms/provinces/nations/territories/etc, and types of governments ->monarchies/oligarchies/anarchy/etc
If we really want to twist things up
