In any case, a bit of filler with this post. Have your characters explore the village, talk to NPC villagers (make them say whatever you'd like), interact with each other. Things will get underway next round.

Is there a relatively straightforward way of putting all that together or did you use a site or...I suppose I wouldn't mind picking up the skillset if it's easy. If it's not, good to know too!

I just use photoshop, though any basic art program can do the basic stuff I did in it. Only thing i really used a photoshop effect for what the background pink cloud effect that I lowered the opacity to so it was transparent and showed the white background behind it more and the text stroke effet (giving it the white lines). Pixlr is a decent free option you can use in your browser that has a lot of the basic photoshop features.

Yeah, your image is fine. I tried getting a more 'drawn feeling image (if that make sense) though that was as close to it as I could get at with the look I wanted. Nothing wrong with what you got. XD

The story can come, a small bump is needed only if things are not moving at all. You didn't even let the final person post before you closed the scene, and even then a large amount of puppeting and leaving us in the dust to watch YOU write with our characters.

I'm saying this because it is a major faux pas in gming, you cut a lot of interaction and agency here, it's fine to have something planned, but do not force people along like this.

I'm telling you this so you can understand what the issue is, it's not a little problem, it's a large one that turns this from a group project to watching somebody write with our characters.

Your job as a gm, the one presiding, is to guide, not controll.

Do you get me? I'm not trying to fight or anything of that sort, but problems must be noted immediately and clearly so we reach an understanding.

In summary: Do not puppet, and do not rush.

I understand, but it is not a matter of courtesy when the affected party is the whole group, were it only a problem between you and me, that'd be different. But I will do so for later occurrences, if any.

Sorry, but every rp is heavily story driven, it's the nature of rping, just remember the story is built together and not by dragging others by the collar as you did. And if you want something from a character, or something to happen involving them. Ask the person controlling said character, you'll find people very amicable as long as the request is in reason.

Don't drop a "you dropped the important thing" or some other plot point without speaking to a person before. It's just another format of railroading, especially if that person now has to reason why a rather prudent character would be so foolish.

I apologize if you feel attacked or wrongly scorned, but I am not a type of person to beat around the bush.

Actually... I do not think I will be continuing. I'm not one to forgive easily, it will only cause more issues down the line due to me being a pissy fuck wit. Use Lamedon as you will, but i'm going to go off elsewhere.

Orikanyo Well all I asked was that you give me the benefit of the doubt to PM me about the issue first so that I may address it in the OOC more effectively rather than surprising me with being suddenly berated for something I just mentioned I had no ill-intentions for doing. Whether it is a matter of courtesy is left to the individual to decide I guess but I do think one should be courteous enough to give the person a chance to explain in a more controlled environment. Obviously I want you to stay and all I ask is to show a little more tact. I don't think that's much to ask for to treat the GM as such. But if you rather not give things a second chance then thank you for all you done and good luck in your future endeavors.

Orikanyo Your points are fair but this is a teaching opportunity. And people generally learn better if critique is delivered in private rather than in public, as no one enjoys being shamed around others. Blu seems willing to listen and receive critique. Give the guy a chance. Or not, I mean don't feel forced to play an RP you're not into but at the same time no one can retroactively undo a mistake without time travel so it's not like Blu can change the past.

Besides, the Final Fantasy games have universally been rather railroady games. Which isn't to say that works in an RP but it is in keeping with the traditions of the source material. Let's call it an honest mistake and move forward, eh?
