Mian Bháis

Mian had spent most of the day babysitting Moloch and Abdulla, watching them from a distance but always ready to strike. Her meeting with Lucifer had left her quite perplexed on a number of fronts. It was not common for the lady of death to speak on her emotions and feelings and it was even rarer for her to confront said feelings as opposed to ignoring or shutting them away. Was it perhaps due to the current situation, to the fact today commemorated an important day and moment in her life? A day that she personally held close to her cold and undying heart? Was she getting... sentimental? Preposterous! Death does not get SENTIMENTAL! What a ludicrous thought and situation. The only reasonable explanation was the lost page Lucifer had recovered from his Law had affected her as another primordial force. That must have been what happened. Surely.

Watching the two siblings emerge from the underbelly of the city following their 'fun and games' Mian sat perched atop a nearby roof, shrouded in shadow. Her void eyes peered at them from quite a distance. Even as the fireworks lit up the sky Mian remained hidden, as always, quietly observing. At least she did right up until the point her subconscious began hounding her. Attempting to push the voices away did little to subdue the voice inside her head and eventually over all the pained and distraught pleas came across one distinct name. Dorian Gray. How interesting, it had been several years since any man, in particular, required her direct intervention. And his death, well it was quite overdue at that.

Moving to a stand Mian turned her head toward the man's location, he wasn't all that far away. In fact, he was within the city limits, how strange. If he were this close all along and so long overdue his demise, why was he only being brought to her attention now? "Guard them, let a scratch befall the abomination and I will see your soul shatters under my oppression. Remain out of sight and whatever you do. Do not look her in the eyes. Begone and do not disappoint". Flickering in and out of existence a skeletal figure rattled in response to its master's wishes. And with its order received the undead creature melted into the shadows.

1669904832343.png

Leaping down from her perch Mian began making her way toward her target, not in any rush. Slowly approaching and unyielding toward any who would dare to stand in her way. For all intents and purposes, it seemed death itself had descended once more upon Hell City. The air grew dense and heavy throughout and the wildlife grew restless. Ravens and crows flocking and cawing through the fire-lit sky.

Did she seduce him? Honestly, she kind of did. But thankfully Raphael used his correct brain and logic told him she was even more dangerous now given what he knew. Just as long as he kept himself on her good side, that would be all he needed to do.

He followed her out of her home, regarding her with one of those business smiles as she spoke of his offer. Given she wanted to live a life without risks, Raphael shrugged when she asked. Then nodded. “Yeah. I never wanted to live such a busy life being my father’s errand boy and just throw my feet up to enjoy what I have, but that’s just the grind of this city. Though, Hell City is a risk on this very land. Still, if you want a more peaceful side-job, I can probably find something for you. The staff back at my work are a bit under-staffed and you certainly know your way around a gun. We could probably use a mind like that for our gadgets. A lot less dangerous and a bit more peaceful.”

When she asked about a car, he chuckled sheepishly. “Ah, yeah, let me call him.” Only to stop short when a guy with a cane and five more of the same guy appeared before them. His ears pinned back and his tail flicked about with some irritation. Asking Yona away from what he needed to do? What did he need to do that was just so important than an entire district filled with rogue AI that could infect other AI? He narrowed his eyes at him, looking over at Yona.

Time to be a businessman.

His falcon cawed, as if to summon attention to Raphael. His smile now had put a bit more charm into, even though it was still a business smile. “Hm, Yona is contracted under me, Dorian Gray. You may call me Raphael. We were just about to head into the Factorio District to deal with rogue AI, which the AI's condition could infect other AI and robots. I would like to have some information as to what Yona would be doing and…”
A pause, mostly for dramatic effect. “If there is some way I can help. I may not look it, but I have all kinds of gadgetry, can manipulate ice, and some swordsmanship skills.” He hoped that was enough for Dorian to consider him. Raphael - while going around as often as he did - most of his deals were confidential. Dorian may not know who Raphael is or who he works for, and Raphael wanted to keep that hidden.

The mechanical abomination had left the Hero’s Guild, setting a new course home. Only to be bombarded with all kinds of signals that bogged his processing down. Groaning, O.V.R. paused for a moment. One thing was clear.

Junkyard District had a beacon he could not ignore.

However, his condition as of right now required him to go home and recharge. When he had reached the Factorio District’s border, he realized there was a problem. He could not risk setting foot in this district. His sensors were alerting him to something else within the district’s bounds that left him far more concerned. At this rate, he couldn’t go home until whatever this was had been dealt with.

O.V.R. then left for the junkyard district, eager to find out what was going on that had him gaining all of his attention. It was then that he saw one person. One person he needed to find all along, for he was dangerous. Facial visor going from blue to orange, he began to crawl on four arms and four shins at high speeds, reaching the crater as he made a beeline to Icarus.

"I have been wanting to see you~. Your organs are mine!" The synthesizer’s attempt at trying to make his voice trill and coo at the end of his first sentence sounded like a dying cat, which probably made it sound more terrifying.

Katja wasn’t a nun? Yeah, she had rags, but she talked like one. Despite the lack of her taking an oath and the clothes for such, it still struck Naomi that she was a nun in some regards. Mainly for their - what she would consider - a zealous relationship with their deity.

As Naomi quickly went to grab Monty’s head from falling onto the concrete due to his “melting” from his undying crush, Katja said if there was a church, she could help him. Naomi furrowed her brow, her antennae drooping. “We… I don’t think we have a church on Lover’s Lane… Unless Sass knows the location of one, I don’t think we have any nearby. The closest one would be where you come from, if I’m assuming correctly.” Katja sounded sheltered, so it was the only thing she could think of.

Finally though, Monty was back up and on his feet, Naomi sighing in relief. She heard him mumble something about how he failed to protect her and it just made her heart melt. Poor guy. He even did the Japanese bow and she giggled somberly. “No, no, it’s okay, Monty. Stand back up. You don’t have to be strong for me. Failing a second time won’t change anything, but I appreciate the commitment.”

Esteriel had approached due to the moths guiding him, making Naomi giggle at how cute he sounded. Naomi looked back up at Monty and realized his nose was still leaking. She pursed her lips in annoyance and she grabbed more of her fluff to dab his lip clean after he spoke. “Hopefully, he doesn’t slap you for not taking care of it yourself. I feel like we should have gotten the man’s name, but hopefully that’s not going to hurt us…” She sighed, wondering why doing anything with Sass was like walking on eggshells. Holding Monty’s and Katja’s hand (with a wing going to the side for Esteriel to hold, she tugged on them towards the direction of Sass’s headquarters, voice tinged with concern. “Let’s go before it gets any later.”

Yona watched as the events unfolded before her and already, red flags were popping up in her head. A guy named Dorian, who can appear out of thin air and clone himself, someone she's never even met or heard of before claiming that they've been watching her and is asking for her to go with them. Like, seriously? Raphael, you're screwing this, is what Yona thought to herself while raising a brow, looking at him with the most concerned expression she's ever had in awhile. Not even the fact that this is all threatening, but she doesn't even know what she has to do. That's not even accounting to the fact that whatever it is that they want her to do, she is not willing to comply.

"...You're seriously selling yourself to him? We don't even know him." She retorted. "In any case, we shouldn't trust him so easily. For me, I don't even know you or heard of you." She said as she looked back at Dorian and his many copies. She knew he was going to be dangerous and would definitely best her, but that's not going to stop her from fighting back for herself. She moved part of her shirt up so that she can get her hand on her pistol she had tucked into her pants haphazardly so she could be ready for any fight Dorian puts up. Even if it was futile. "Unless there is a valid reason you can give me that holds value, I'm not getting volun-told." She stated as she stared Dorian down and preparing herself for any moves he makes. "This is my own private domicile and I will not be harassed..."

"Bitch."

Now that she had made her stand clear, she was also getting ready for any attack that could happen around her seeing that he can just appear out of thin air, anywhere. And cloning himself? That's a bigger problem. As it stands, any strategy she has will be overtaken by Dorian if she fought alone. Even if Raphael were to help, they could withstand enough to put up a decent fight, but the longer they stay will shorten their window to at least get out of this situation. The fact they don't even have a ride is another problem. Getting out of Dorion's sight is going to be next to impossible to accomplish.

The way she sees it, starting a fight is going to be useless and it's clear that Dorian will win. Even so, she's willing to put up a fight. She isn't one to be silent when being told to do something she doesn't want to. Not even if someone else speaks for her. And she damn well won't let Raphael do that, especially for Dorian. Not until she knows Dorian's purpose or his goal. The worst that could happen is she just takes a beating and get killed. Hopefully Dorian doesn't know of her 'coming back to life' curse that she can just play dead for awhile and escape when given a chance.

Amidst all this, her train of thought was interrupted by those flashes again. Images of some sort of ancient era. It caused her to blink multiple times while shaking her head trying to shake it off the sudden flashes. It was the second time that happened to her today and it was again when she was found in a difficult situation. The first time it was running from a rogue android and hopping into an AI driven car that was soon to become rogue and now facing an inevitable possibility dealing with Dorian. Are these sudden flashes connected in some way? There must be a reason to all this, but she can't think about it now. She has bigger problems to deal with. She has to be at her wits to react to any event afterwards.

Cyber-Warrior: Icarus
Location: Junkyard District - Blast Site

________________________________
In the quiet minutes after Icarus sent up his curated signal to lure O.V.R to his location was almost unbearable for him. Sweating under his suit, he loosened up his tie a bit and pulled on the ends of his gloves to make sure they fit on tightly. Lastly, he made sure that his drones were ready to rush in at any sign of foreign movement while he stood like a sitting duck in the center of the blast site. Noting that it was at this site everything started going wrong for them. Icarus was doing his best to just move on and go along with the overnight decimation of the Heroes Guild but he couldn't push aside the nagging feeling in the back of his mind that he was missing a vital piece of the picture. Of course, a part of him suspected something wrong with the Master the moment things started going sideways - after all, up to last night, all of their victories were a result of the Master's foreknowledge & planning. So it was reasonable for Icarus to assume that the Master was equally capable of making sure that they also failed, and failed they have. What Icarus couldn't even begin to understand though was, why? Why build something just to tear it down?

He pushed these contemplations off to the side for now, and in good timing as a sudden alarm sounded off inside his mask alerting Icarus of movement in the area.

'Okay, showtime.'

"On your toes Alistair, it's here."

Out from the rubble and metal debris, drones whizzed out from hiding with alarms blaring and armed with E.M.P emitters and fully-automatic bullets. All swarming around O.V.R with the turret drones laying out suppressive fire against O.V.R while the E.M.P drones rushed to attach themselves to O.V.R in an attempt to short-circuit his cybernetics. Meanwhile, Icarus was attempting to prevent his skin from crawling right off his body and maintain his facade of somebody who was in absolute control.
"Christ, you look even more horrific in person! Now do me a favor and don't move too much, or at all." he asked sarcastically. While he spoke, Icarus was already beginning to run software on O.V.R and starting his way through bypassing his mainframe and rerouting access to yours truly. He then turned to Alistair "Uhh, just in case...Be ready to run, I'm not getting within fifty feet of that thing until I'm done on my end, if you can buy me time that'll be great. Otherwise, just don't die. That'd be great."

Dorian remained silent and attentive to the words of both the individuals before him with a serious poker face on display. He would have chuckled at Yona's last statement had this been another situation, on another night. But tonight was not a night for laughs, humor, or time-wasting.
"I see...I will admit I sympathize with your position. I would very much feel the same way if I were in your shoes. Unfortunately, however, it seems you have both missed the point. I did not come here to make requests. I have no more time to waste." Dorian's words carried a gravity to them as the duplicates surrounding him began to multiply, five turning to seven, turning to ten, then turning into a dozen total. Eight of them stood behind him, and two appeared on either side of Yona and another two on either side of Raphael "I wished to do this without resorting to such crass measures, but tonight I cannot risk failure."

Dorian slammed the end of his cane to the ground, and from the impact, a tremor rippled throughout a fifty feet vicinity around him, shaking the very foundations of the earth beneath them.

"This is my last warning to both of you. Comply willingly, or be forced by my hands." Dorian roared and the duplicates behind him began marching forward while the duplicates who appeared beside Raphael & Yona reached out and attempted to latch onto their arms, and restrain them.

He looked down at his boss with a frown as she touched him to possibly bring up certain emotions such as lust, but when it came to Lucia, her tricks would not even come close to working on him like they would usually do when the two of them are by themselves. Though he had to pick two possible options in the situation.

Either they walk to the rouge embodiments district, district 77 or also knows as joker’s lot. Or they could save more time and simply use Lucia as transport but also having to put three people on the bikes seat. He shook his head knowing the obvious answer for him to pick. Ainto was quite stubborn.

Your tricks don’t work on me Lady pain, we’re walking there now! If Lucia gets any damage in case we crash my life would be over for me. I’ve had her forever now.”

He sighed as the three of them began to walk to jokers lot.

Once the trio finally arrived to Jokers lot Ainto got a lot more quite and more focused, he turned to Lady pain.

Mind re-telling me and Moses the plan again Lady Pain?”

It didn't take long for Mian to reach the location of her target, it never did. Arriving just in time to witness the activation of Dorian's cane Mian was pleasantly surprised to gaze upon the unique power. She had seen many tera-type powers in her time and indeed witnessed serious seismic anomalies but seeing Dorian cause such a tremor with ease. It quite honestly gave her the impression this was going to be more fun than she had originally anticipated. Something Mian was not all that familiar with in recent times. Perhaps she would even get to let loose a little.

Making her way up the driveway, Mian came to a halt a few feet behind the eight clones guarding Dorian's rear flank. Looking them all over Mian let out a soft sigh. Raising her hand in the air she quickly materialised her scyth, bringing it to rest on her shoulder as she waited patiently for Dorian to finish speaking. Once he had, Mian Gazed at him from beyond his duplicate phalanx. The air in the area becoming stale as she did so. Crows coming to roost in the nearby trees to observe, their eyes glowing in the distance. "Dorian Gray. Sorry to interrupt, but your time is up already. Speak your final words now should you have them. I'm on quite a tight schedule, I have to be back before the children get themselves into any more trouble you see."

Mian's eyes remained on the Dorian who held the cane, seemingly completely ignoring the clones who stood between them as well as the two bystanders at the house. "Your soul has been... fractured. How interesting. Tell me, how is it you managed to do such a thing? It shouldn't be possible for a mortal like yourself. This longevity you hold, it's... Irregular. Yet... familiar. How strange"

The train ride was pretty uneventful for the most part. The bunny gal simply talked to her new friends about various things, mostly about how awesome, yet dangerous, everything had been so far. Cirillia truly thought she had left this part of her behind, the part that enjoyed chaos and mayhem...but it was undeniably still a part of her. She couldn't resist...it had been really cool! Scary, but cool. She was still worried about her bunnies though was confident someone had stopped by to check on them for her. As chaotic and hellish as Hell City was...her clientele did have their nice sides. And she knew a handful of strong thuggish types that absolutely melted in joy when holding a fat, fluffy, bunny in their arms. Needless to say there was enough to talk about that she didn't exactly get bored during the two hours Juan was silent...or exactly shut up for that long at all. She was really settling in with these two even if they'd only recently just met. Hell, they'd been through enough together to form some kind of bond! She hoped so, anyway!

Her ears twitched lightly as Juan spoke, a smile forming on her lips as well at his offer. "I've tagged along this long...I might as well stay with you guys a little longer. I'm sure the place will be fine when I get back." She spoke happily. Truth be told she wanted to see what was going on herself. She was quiet the nosy bunny when she wanted to be...which was pretty often, if she was being honest. She was a tad bit worried that she would get wrapped up in something she didn't want to be involved with...buuut at the same time she was enjoying herself to worry too much. She did hear Juan's offer for herself and San both to join up with him...but she was still on the fence when it came to involving herself in such things. In an official capacity, anyway. "It would depend on what you would expect of me...but...I'll consider it." She replied honestly. She wasn't going to give a solid answer either way. She wanted more details. About his organization, what they did, and why. She distanced herself from most organizations in Hell City a long time ago to live a more peaceful life. Sure, she had her moments where she had to kick some ass or do something shady, such was life here. Yet, having any sort of official ties or responsibilities...it did put her new happy life potentially in jeopardy. Yet at the same time allies could be useful. More friends were always a good thing. It was very much something to consider heavily before simply deciding on a whim.

Nonetheless once the train came to a stop the pinkette sighed lightly as she stood up and stretched a little. "Hnnn...sitting around for so long always makes me so stiff..." Ciri whined softly. She didn't tend to stay still for such long periods of time unless she was asleep. Doing pretty much anything she always got up to stretch her legs a bit. She followed her companions off the train, watching him approach the guard and write something down. For now she simply pocketed the address with a grin. "I'll be coming with you guys. I'm no stranger to killing, even if I prefer not too." She spoke. Which, realistically speaking, as long as she was stabbing the bad guys she was alright with it. She did appreciate Juan not just insisting she tag along for the ride though.

She waved rather awkwardly at the driver who wasn't all too happy to see herself or the wolf beside her only to grin ever so smugly once she was allowed into the vehicle by Juan. "So. This is your base huh? Quite a few people around." Cirillia observed once they arrived. She watched several of them bowing at Juan and grew pretty confused...and incredibly curious. She assumed he was likely the leader, but even still it seemed a bit more than just him being the leader to her. She could be wrong though!

She too heard something to do with the discussion about a vanishing house...a vanishing house? Wha-? Seriously? Then again...she tended to not question things too much anymore with how long she's been in Hell City. She has seen some shit after all. She just shook her head and decided to believe it if it came up...with a grain of salt anyways. Her gaze flicked over to the man who she could only assume was Babueles. She blinked slowly as he too mentioned the man-eating house. She simply stared in disbelief, admittedly still skeptical, yet San was all for believing him. She waved a little at Doby as he introduced himself, with San following close behind. "I'm Cirillia Vines Kinda just along for the ride...for now...hehe." She spoke in a cheerful tone. "Is it true? Is there really a vanishing house that eats people? Or did you guys have a little too much to drink yourselves?" She couldn't resist making the joke....she just wouldn't be her if she did!

However....she was...less than excited about the idea of trying to combat a whole ass house than San was. After all....she only had a gun, some knives, and a pair of really strong legs accompanied by her speed. Nothing truly special and she doubted that kicking a solid house would do anything but break her own leg.

Alistair was quite on the fence about this, continuing to aid Icarus. He truly wasn't sure what exactly he was getting himself into...yet just about anything would be worth it in the long run. All that data the boy had on those servers would serve his business well and give him quite a bit of blackmail material as well as insurance in his future endeavors. And right now...he was relying on this boy's tech to ensure they weren't torn to absolute shreds by whatever had decimated all of his allies. Alistair had no information on their capabilities, nothing that would matter, so he wasn't quite sure if the killing machine they were soon to face was an actual threat or if Icarus' companions had instead truly been utterly useless when it came to an actual formidable foe. Not that he meant to speak ill of the dead...but it wouldn't be the first time an organization rose up acting all tough and then got swatted down like a fly.

As O.V.R approached, signaling its intentions to harvest his masked companions organs, Alistair arched a brow. On the surface it looked like a rudimentary cyborg...thing. However he knew quite well how advanced cybernetics were, just how beastly this thing could actually be. And truly, it did look incredibly intimidating. Yet, the loanshark remained as stoic as ever. He wasn't sure what the 'Cyber Warrior' had planned and merely sighed heavily as he was asked to buy him some time. "Very well..." Alistair muttered. High pitched hissing accompanied by steam jetting out of his shoulders and back followed his words. If there was potential to fight, he may as well be at his peak.

He slowly stepped forward as the steam died down and with a near silent click his blade relaxed and scratched across the ground. "I'm afraid I can't allow you to do that." He spoke calmly towards O.V.R. "For what it's worth, I will not be risking my life to save him. So if you should happen to get to him...I won't be too upset." Truly, he wouldn't much care if Icarus died. It was the data he would potentially lose that would be a problem. He had a feeling he may be able to somehow salvage at-least part of it if worst came to worst...he did hope whatever Icarus was planning worked so he wouldn't have to be bothered to attempt such however.

He stood perfectly still, yet with a loose stance. Alistair was ready to defend if need be. Already his eyes were quickly analyzing various things to do with O.V.R. The cyborgs own stance, the materials it was possibly made out of, probabilities of which arm may attack first based on stance. Nothing perfect, not yet, but enough to give a small edge in defense. O.V.R was truly a creature made to kill relentlessly. It would ultimately come down to just how durable that metal was. Would it be able to resist Alistair's blade? The rounds he fires? Could it be manipulated magnetically? So many questions. If the cyborg was magnetically conductive...things were likely in Alistair's favor. At-least a little. He wouldn't be letting his guard down for a second either way.

Ainto, always the stubborn one. Lady Pain simply nonchalantly waved her hand and began walking to the transport at the edge of the Syndicate border, then had herself, Ainto, and Moses teleported to Joker’s Lot.

Once there, Ainto asked what the plan was. Lady Pain’s gaze landed on Ainto, her brow furrowed. It was out of concern. She sighed. “We are supposed to find Jackie.” She didn’t want to say what the last part was, for she knew Moses wouldn’t like it. She closed her eyes and hung her head. “Moses… Will you be okay?” She asked seemingly to no one if she hadn’t said his name, as she wasn’t looking in his general direction because he might as well have disappeared. Her head was hanging, and she looked back at Ainto. “Lucifer wants Jackie dead. He’s grown too powerful, and killing him will help put Six’s focus elsewhere. It’s to protect Lucifer, the rest of the embodiments, and Hell City.” She looked back at the sight ahead of her. Joker’s Lot looked rather depressing now. There was barely anyone here, and if there were, they were too drunk or drugged up to care if they were homeless, squatters, or somehow had a life living here.

Still, the main attraction was the amusement park-looking site, and she pointed towards it. “That’s where we’re heading. If Jackie isn’t there, then he’ll likely be there when we get there. I need to talk to him anyway. Hopefully, this won’t kill us.” She furrowed her brow, her tone gravely serious, yet it sounded as if she didn’t hold much hope for this to pan out well. She knew Jackie could cause Zelda to come back, she just had to be careful. Looking back at Ainto, she held his shoulder. “If I turn back to Zelda Ferris, the normal human form of myself, take care of her. I still share this body with her, and if she takes control because of Jackie, you must get her and yourself away from him. Zelda is a pacifist and will try to aid you, even if she doesn’t like you. However, she does have access to some of my pain abilities, she refuses to use them. Once I regain my energy, I’ll return, so don’t worry.” She flashed him a smile, patting his head.

“Now, we go.” And she started walking towards the amusement park site, hoping that Jackie would be there.

Seeing Yona at the corner of his eye disagree with his attempt at starting business to hopefully prevent their untimely demise right here, all he did was smirk. Yona was correct, they couldn’t trust him, and that’s why he did what he did. Oh well, he’ll tell her later. He noticed something was wrong with her when she seemed to blank out.

But he didn’t pay much attention to Yona. Not right now, as Dorian was in front of them. Seeing as this was no request, but a demand, Raphael’s body tensed. There were so many of them. Raphael peered over at the Dorians beside them, then a tremor rippled. Were the tremors from him? Comply willingly? How rude!

Of course, the chill of death descended upon Raphael’s entire being and he looked past the sea of Dorians to see that girl. The girl who always stood by Lucifer’s side. Oh fuck.

He grabbed Yona’s upper arm, fear causing his expression to look like he was angry. Mian told Dorian she needed to kill him. Oh, thank Lucifer. He whispered in Yona’s ear, his body tensed and ready to go. “She is Mian Bháis, the right-hand woman and the grim reaper of Lucifer himself. If she’s here to kill Dorian, then let us take this moment to run.” He grabbed something from his pocket and activated it with a simple press of a button. He then threw it down on the ground before them, the ball exploding into a large cloud of dark smoke, completely obscuring them and the four Dorians by their side. Still holding onto Yona, he dragged her back and away from the group of Dorians, hoping they didn’t follow them.

“Come on, I’ll call for an actually humanoid chauffeur.” He said, dragging her still away. If any Dorians did approach, his cane would activate and mist would seep out of the holes made. Swiping the ground, he’d make a trail of ice behind them that would make it difficult for the clones to walk or run on.

Oh, it just had to be this way, didn’t it? So difficult!

The drones were proving to be annoying, nothing more but bats. He turned down his cyberaudio, so the alarms weren’t blaring as loud. The organic internals aided in keeping his wiring now running on bioelectricity, while the core switched to nuclear and empowered the bioelectricity’s strength. The bullets were like the bees from that Dillan Dotere he killed a day or two ago.

Annoying.

The EMP drones attaching themselves to him did little to short-circuit anything, as bio-electricity runs on something else and nuclear energy couldn’t be affected. He laughed as Icarus tried to give a command to him. “How cute. Thinking you have control of the situation, complimenting me on my horrifying appearance. Good. My reputation precedes me… I know you’ve been watching…”

Of course, another man came into view, and he scanned him immediately. Alistair Garish, a man who's been in the mercenary business doing deals… Interesting. As O.V.R. swatted at the drones, crushing the ones he could reach and the ones that touched him with little thought as if he were smashing mosquitoes, the orange light became a lit up face, a slasher smile complete with white beady eyes.

“Adorable. Stepping in to save your boyfriend~. Sounds like you’re ready to break up if this gets too dangerous, but he obviously must have given you a deal, Alistair. I wonder what it could have been to make you fight and defend instead of run. Let me rectify that~.”

The arms and shins came together so he was a humanoid, his chest glowing a bright blue, as if to divert attention or showcase a weakness. The eight-foot-two-inch metallic beast walked forward, scanning his stance. The metal that covered his body was stained black and dark red with blood, scratches and very small indents indicating he had been in several brawls earlier.

And to shake up Icarus even more, the slasher smile became impossibly wider. “Ohhh, Iiiiicarusssss… You surely aren’t trying to claim revenge on your pathetic group you call a band of heroes, are you? The Syndicate will have all your heads!” And, of course, the damn machine-man began to play the deaths of all he killed, going over the names and how they died in a distorted voice, as the audio he was playing played crystal clear over it. “Dillan Dotere, the Lord of the Bees. Crushed. Gael Cosgrove, the Snake Charmer. Crushed. Bebobo Poptop, the Candy-Kush Fiend. Friendly fire. Nova Larson, the Dark Star. Harvested. Her brother, Mani Larson. Dead. Axelrad Heptrix, the Wild Cord. Friendly fire. Tinker Tarren, the Mishap. Harvested.”

With surprising speed, the beast attempted to go for an uppercut into the gut, but he knew it was just slow enough for Alistair to dodge. Regardless if he dodged or blocked, his other arm would separate into two arms and try to grab Alistair.

Mian Bháis

In a burst of adrenaline after the smoke bomb, she quickly drew her pistol at the clones that were on her's and Raphael's side firing kill shots to the upper chest and neck. Seeing how the smoke obscured her vision as well, she couldn't see if her kills were confirmed but trusting her skill with firearms, she'd say those were directs. She listened to Raphael after zoning back in and hurriedly made a run for it while Raphael had a tight grip on her. She still carried her duffel bag that had her gear as she didn't want to lose such precious equipment. She wasn't even sure if they were still going to the festival or deal with the androids anymore. This situation needs to simmer down before they can move again. She soon took the lead and grabbed Raphael's hand and ripped it off her arm. "Too long, we need to move. Now!"

She urged before she turned a corner around the apartment complex and revealed a black SUV. She took out some keys and unlocked it, soon throwing her duffel bag into the back seat as well as Raphael. "Sorry for the rough treatment, but we need to take this chance to bug out ASAP." She said before closing the door and getting into the driver's seat. She started it and began driving off into the street, speeding away as she did.

As they gained some distance from the apartment complex however, she did start to slow down thinking she was far enough. "...Alright, what's the address to your HQ? We can head there if you want." She asked as she was calming down. The fact that Lucifer's grim reaper was present didn't even cross her mind at the time. Now that she can process, her and Raphael got really fuckin' lucky. She let out a sigh as she continued driving, leaning her head back against the headrest. "Fuuuckin' Hell..."

District 84 | Pyre's Base

His brow quirked up at the idea of houses appearing and disappearing into thin air being normal, but then again there were all kinds of weird things in Hell City so he decided to let that slide. It was at least, good to know that Ciri would not be departing so soon just yet. Though he wouldn't say it or admit it, having companions around him...was...nice?

He had forgotten what it was like having people around honestly when he was on the move. His power just made it so much of a problem to be around others that it was always better he keep his contact with the rest short or brief.

If the house at the moment wasn't in physical distance for them to deal with it, then he'd leave it alone for now.

"Forget about the house then" he said touching San gently- and as his hand reached it, it glowed, shifting- becoming almost amphibian in appearance at least from the coloration that extended past his fingers to his arm. "We're not going after it right now, Baubel- keep an eye out for it." He turned his attention to their guest. "Doby," he offered his hand to him, "Juan." He succinctly replied as he introduced himself with a small smile- a rare thing really to see. In fact it was unlikely Juan had smiled much at all since their journey together. Or expressed anything really related to mirth to begin with.

"The Hero's Guild huh" he said as he let the other man-rat's hand go. "What offer did you come presenting?" He asked.

It was better to move past the house anyway, from the feelings he was getting from the girls it would only make things more difficult for him if he felt the urge now, when a representative from another organization was here.

~ Joker's Lot - District 77 ~
The wind howled throughout District 77 as if welcoming the coming of nightfall. The district from the outside appears almost barren, simply a dark wasteland of ruins graced not even by the moonlight. Yet sitting at its core was the bright and colorful wonderland created in the Japer Prince's image. A theme park of madness and lunacy, and at its center the Happy Hotel peered over all Joker's Lot; a beacon of Jackie's "enlightenment" that he wanted to share with the world. Filling those who gaze upon it with anxiety, and a growing feeling of losing touch with reality.

District 77 is mostly a desolate place, there are a few living things to speak of or take interest in. There are no common citizens who live and work in this place, and that is because they had either all left while they still could and those who remained would become downtrodden and damned. These stragglers have lost all sense of self, and react based on pure primitive instincts. The unfamiliar scents of Zelda & Ainto swept into the region causing them to stir or flee to their hiding holes in fear.

Approaching the entrance to Jackie's park, they would be greeted by an unguarded gate. The park itself would be going as if everything was business as usual, but not a single soul would be found enjoying any of its attractions. Along the way to the park, the two may have also happened upon the abandoned excavation sites with big billboard signs showing the company name 'C.C Projects'. The sites are being built atop a mass graveyard that was once there - a graveyard that has been disturbed and was now unearthed.

If the two were to pay attention to the site: they might happen to notice a giant hole in the concrete foundations surrounded by rubble and soil, appearing as if something had somehow clawed itself out...

Meanwhile, a horde of the mindless undead marched slowly toward the shining core of District 77. Attracted by the light, and perhaps sensing that the one responsible for their disturbed rest lays inside the towering hotel at its center...

As the district began to silently boil over and a night of chaotic madness in Joker's Lot was ready to erupt. Yet blissfully unaware was Jackie and his Coterie of Clowns, the last remaining remnants of which gathered together in the room where Jackie would hold what he liked to call the 'Court of Clowns'. Of course, asides from himself there was only one member who was patient enough to await his return. The hotel did not feel happy, but sad and quiet. It was just far too empty for Jackie's liking!

So there they were, sat along the red circle table with Iggzy at his left side, and the newest addition to his crew at the opposing side of the table. In all the other empty sits sat mock-dolls of Jackie in different outfits and hairstyles. The room was set up more akin to a tea party than a courtroom or meeting area.

"Ladies & gentlemen, one & all! Welcome! Welcome! Before we begin, I would like to personally take time thank all of you for taking time out of what I am sure is a very, very busy schedule to make this essential get-together we have today! As you know, tonight is a very special occasion for our dearest Lucy!" Jackie announced in a mocking impression of Lucifer who would often begin his meetings in a very similar manner. Standing with his arms spread out in a welcoming gesture. He acted as if he was addressing a full room of attentive listeners, but in reality, his audience was but two people and a bunch of dolls. Of course, Jackie didn't seem to mind. Behind where he stood was a large window that allowed one to see out into the sky that had been cracked open a year prior.

Before Jackie was able to go any further though, the hooded figure sitting at the opposing end of the table coughed intentionally to remind Jackie that he was forgetting something.

"Huh, what!? Somethin' in your throat? OOOOHHH!!" Jackie blinked and looked over toward the hooded figure who sat in solemn silence before coming to the sudden realization he was forgetting something important "OH! Hehehe, silly me, how could I forget!? I have to welcome our newest addition!" Jackie laughed and circled around the table behind the hooded figure who lifted up to reveal his face and caused quite the stirred reaction from Iggzy who recognized at once who it was and he grumbled loudly.

"Now now, Dwarf. I want you to say hello to our newest chum - Blackjack!!" Jackie cooed proudly with his hands resting on each of Blackjack's shoulders who kept his eyes fixated on Iggzy but did not say a word or whisper a sound. The true identity of Blackjack was Fredrick Thomson, formerly known as the hero 'Boy Toy Freddy'. Only now his appearance was drastically different from before and he now had a new outfit!

b71493732b280635d865f1e40f243223.jpg

Iggzy still wasn't sure, and also didn't like the way Blackjack stared at him in silence "Oi! Somethin' wrong wit ya eyes? Somethin' wrong with ya tongue? You wanna say somethin' to Iggzy?! Then say it!!"

Jackie cooed and began returning to his position at the table "Oh, I can see that you two are going to get along just swimmingly~ Don't take it to heart Dwarf, he's just had a long day and is a bit worn out is all, isn't that right Blackjack?" Jackie said glancing intentively at Blackjack who did not move a muscle or make a sound "See? Now...Where was I again?...Oh! That's right. Meeting time! Alright you bozos, now you all listen up because papa J has got some big ideas!!"

The Court of Clowns would continue as Blackjack, Iggzy Biggzy and the dolls were subjected to the mad rambling of the Japer Prince of Antics...

Moses, Embodiment of Nihilism
8c950f88f01bad3029054d1f62c684ba.jpg
Once the trio finally arrived to Jokers lot Ainto got a lot more quite and more focused, he turned to Lady pain.

Mind re-telling me and Moses the plan again Lady Pain?”
For the majority of their journey, Moses remained silent and did his best to mold into the background and avoid as much attention and interaction with those he was traveling with as much as possible. After all, Moses found words to be so...Pointless. When they had finally arrived to the border of District 77, Moses would come out of his 'hiding' and join back in with the group, standing on the opposing side of Ainto.

He looked out over the district and toward the colorful bright lights of Jackie's Funland. It caused Moses to reminisce on the time he had spent here in the past, and of course, his time spent with Jackie who he once called 'brother'. He recalled Lady Pain's concern from earlier, and the thought of Jackie weighed on his mind before he said from seemingly out of nowhere

"Lucifer is the only thing that matters. I allowed Jackie to live once, I will not allow it a second time."

“Now, we go.” And she started walking towards the amusement park site, hoping that Jackie would be there.
Moses glanced over toward Lady Pain with a dull look in his eyes "I see...If it comes to that...I will finish him myself."

Something must have gone wrong - terribly wrong...

Until now everything was going according to Lillam's predictions. His ability to see future events never once failed, and it was because of this ability that they had come this far. It was the reason that HE came this far. Dorian. Lillam being wrong was simply...An impossibility, and yet: she was here. The arrival of Mian Bhias and her chilling words shocked the always-composed Silver Fox to his core.

How?

His mind could think of nothing else as he stood there staring wide-eyed at Mian Bhias. "Y-you aren't supposed to be here..." Dorian muttered under his breath, stuttering for the first time in what must have been decades. He had no intention of giving Mian the answers she sought, she would learn on her own soon enough. He tightened the grip on his cane and reminded himself of his task. He created more duplicates, one after the other, and sent them after Raphael & Yona while surrounding himself with a barricade of duplicates as he prepared to face Mian.

A unit of a dozen duplicates chased after Yona as they made their escape in the car whilst the majority of the duplicates remained behind with Dorian to deal with Mian.

"I...I will not allow you to ruin everything he's worked for, not when we are so close..."

Dorian rose up his arm with his cane in hand and held it up in the air "He WILL be the one to defy Death." he declared to Mian before slamming the cane back down causing the earth beneath their feet to rapture open and violent tremors to ripple throughout the entirety of the district. At the same time, his duplicates launched into action, some leaping up while others traveled low - the duplicates would attack from all angles at once with great finesse & efficiency. Dorian would now reveal a new aspect of his ability: which allowed him to switch places with any of his duplicates instantaneously - allowing him to effectively teleport. As the duplicates attacked, Dorian would consistently switch places with one duplicate after another in an attempt to keep himself from being tracked and using any opening he might have found to strike Mian directly with the end of his cane.

Raphael had to commend Yona for her accuracy, but that would have to be for another time. He was surprised to feel her rip his grip from her, but he followed her anyway, finding himself a bit peeved at that. Wait, how long was that SUV there?

He ran to it, only to be thrown into the back seat with her stuff, his tail puffing out and his ears pinned back. He let out a “HEY!” a moment after, grumbling as she apologized. Shaking his head, he scooted her things to the side. As she sped off, he fought against the inertia before hopping into the passenger seat, sighing as he buckled up and fixed his shirt. He looked behind and saw more Dorian clones after them. He groaned. “I wonder how far they can get from the original. Just as long as Mian continues to fight him, we should be safe, unless he’s got some wacky ability to switch his location between his clones then… Well, drive fast. Please.” He smoothed out the fur on his tail, giving Yona directions to the HQ.

“Hearth Corp. is in another District. Keep going straight until we are sure we can’t find any more clones, then take a right and keep going.” Did that mean they likely had to pass the street Dorian and Mian were on? Yeah, but they would be far enough away that they shouldn’t get hit or seen. “Our factory is sadly in the direction of the fight, but if we keep going, we should hopefully not be seen by them since we’ll be so far down the street.”

Sighing, he looked through his passenger side window, relaxing a little. “Mian only goes after those who Lucifer wants dead. There’s I think a hit list for her to follow. Hopefully, we won’t have to meet her. But her abilities might make your undying power moot, so it’s best not to anger Lucifer. And the safest way to do that is by working for a company who works for him…” Oh, please don’t realize that Hearth Corp. works for Lucifer… I can't be losing an ally. And if you do, hopefully you think we're working for him to safe our skins.

“San Inazuma. Contracted merc working for Havoc. Do you know where it appeared and where it dropped you off? Unless its reappearance is random…” She mused to herself at the end. She wanted to try and find this house now. If the house could be destroyed, or beaten from the inside, it wouldn’t take much for her to destroy it.
Babueles looked a bit caught off guard by San and stared at her with a mix of confusion and slight annoyance, "Eeeehhh..." Babueles groaned "I mean it was right out the front earlier...So it's random." he explained in a labored manner as if all of this was a great big nuisance to him and he was visibly pleased when Doby approached Juan and he spoke up on the matter himself.

"Sure thing, I'll let the boys round' here know to keep a cautious eye out for it. Now if you'll excuse me..." Babueles went back to lazing on his cough and went back to booze and smokes whilst he let Doby & Juan discuss business together.
He turned his attention to their guest.

Doby shook Juan with a strong and firm grip alongside a toothy smile "Aye, I've heard a bit about you boys' - gotta say, pretty big fan of your work. I was actually pretty excited when I got this contract, haha! But maybe that is why I was given this job in the first place...Anyway..." Doby reached for a folded piece of paper in his back pocket, taking it out and offering it to Juan "I've gotten a lot of contracts in me day, but I ain't ever received somethin' quite like this. It was given to me by our leader, who we call the 'Master'. He even told me personally to make sure it reached your hands in specific." he looked back to Babueles who wasn't even paying attention to the conversation and added "Sorry Blue." before turning back to Juan "See, I already took the liberty of taking a gander at the contract meself and it's an unusual one. The only information it gives is a time and location. He did add that he didn't just want you there personally, but wanted you and all available associates. Don't ask me why, its a mystery to me, but that ain't new for the Master and he ain't led us astray yet...Oh! He was willin' to pay well, and also mentioned somethin' about havin' some information you'd want. The Master's got a way of knowin' things, don't think the blokes ever been wrong in his life..." Doby trailed off for a moment before getting himself back on track and offering up his own gun to the task "If it'd please ya', I'd also like to offer you my gun. I got a feelin' the Master would be expecting me to join ya' anyway, and I figure I owe ole 'true blue' over there one after getting me outta' that house."

As soon as Yona saw the clones chasing after them while they were driving, she let out a sigh and leaned over to the passenger glove box and pulled out a string of grenades. "I fucking swear, these people and their fancy abilities..." She then pulled another string that was strung to the pins of the grenades and threw the batch out the window before speeding off. The timer of the grenades was actually long enough to explode where the clones would be if they kept running at their current speed. "...If someone were to grant me powers other than this immortality shit, I'd take fucking time and space." She complained as she kept driving.

She planned to take the long way around since the fighting was near her apartment. For fuck's sake, there better not be any property damage after that. She'd hate to come back to her apartment and everything was shagged beyond recognition. She listened to Raphael talk about... Mian, the girl with the scythe. He said that she was Lucifer's grim reaper? If someone could scare the shit out of both Raphael and that old geezer, she actually would not want anything to do with them. Even if it meant to save her ass. She'd rather just avoid contact rather than kneel before someone. "Fuck that. If I had to work with someone like that, it would not go well. I'd rather just not be under their radar and keep a low profile." She said. "...Despite being a symbol among the cartel of an entire district. They even name themselves after it, Las Almas." Cartel is what the three gangs used to refer their voluntary alliance to encourage no wars among them so as to not upset Yona.

While she was driving, she did see a lot of foot traffic on the sidewalks, alleyways and rooftops. It was the cartel. They were armed with a variety of weapons. Mainly guns. They even used some of their abilities to mobilize quicker. They weren't focused on Raphael or Yona, they were probably more focused on the commotion caused by Dorian and Mian. "There they go. I feel bad for them, they're gonna die. They should've sent everyone for that old fucker. But send no one for Mian. I'd imagine they'd turn tail as soon as they saw her if she can make the fur on your tail stand." She said, putting a small joke for the fun of it. She did want to make fun of Raphael a little. "Maybe if there were more clones being sent after us, they'd deal with them. Maybe."

Mian Bhais

Mian watched as the old man began to stutter, to tremble. Her initial impression had been one of possible enjoyment, his soul had left her hoping this would be a fine opportunity to vent her sudden emotional state. An opportunity to possibly let loose, even if just a little. How long had it been since the world demanded her direct interjection? A millennium? More? Why now? Why him? This man who stood before her, broken and fractured to his core, what made him so deserving of first-hand judgement? Well, there was only one way to find out. "You seem to be misunderstanding something 'Dorian Grey'".

Steadfast and unwavering despite the violent shaking, Mian's cold expression and void-like eyes were unfazed by the sudden blitz of clones. In fact, as the swarm grew closer and their attacks were upon her Mian's voice was just as unaffected. "It is you who shouldn't be here". As the man teleported for the first time, he would find Mian's eyes following his own directly. Blocking his cane with the tip of her scythe Mian knocked it aside so as not to trigger a reaction. Her current assumption was that the cane needed a solid medium through which to deal its damage.

Though knocking away the cane was but one of the numerous attacks she found herself facing. With the other clones drawing near. Mian's cold expression, for a very brief moment, seemed to display a diabolical grin. Though seeing as it all happened so quickly, Dorian might have even been left to think it a fragment of his own imagination. What followed though could only be described as nightmarish. Like a porcupine, spikes of hollowed bone shot out from beneath Mian's clothing. The hollow spikes impaling all those clones intending to strike the Lady of Death.

Like bullets the spines raced through the air, felling many of the unsuspecting clones and wounding any others that were foolish enough not to seek cover behind their fallen comrade's corpses. Still standing in the same spot from which the battle had begun, Mian's gaze continued to follow the read Dorian, her scythe masterfully parrying each attempt he had made on her with his cane. "I am Death. There is no man, woman, god or demon that can defy me. No plant, no animal, no bird, fish or organism that escapes me. I am a fundamental law of this world. I am a gift, a blessing and a curse. I am of the Pandorica."

Raising her scythe into the air, a swarm of skeletal crows numbering in the hundreds began to swarm high in the sky above her "Whomsoever 'he' is. Will die. Of that, I can assure you. Now, let your delusions of escape go. No more games. Fight me with all you have. Death is upon you, die with honour!"

1674981505428.png
Slamming her scythe down on the ground the swarm of skeletal crows immediately began to fly off toward the runaway clones in pursuit of Yona and Raphael. As the duo would come around the next corner, they would come to find the swarm dive-bombing those cartel members attempting to mobilise. Their bones and beaks sharp, each like a bullet falling from the sky. Tearing into those members causing a symphony of pained and agonising screams. Once the clone would appear behind the car, all eyes were on them and by association, the car leading them. Hundreds of small ghastly red eyes, all immediately locked on the car and those behind it.

Nothing could ever be easy, could it? So far things weren't going as smoothly as Icarus has hoped. His EMP drones appeared to have no effect on whatever cyborg monstrosity O.V.R was, so far the only thing Icarus seemed successful in doing is exciting O.V.R who began to tease Icarus. Thankfully it looked like Alistair was willing to help, which was also a pretty good sign for their future partnership assuming they were to survive this ordeal.

Of course, Icarus had no intentions of dying here.

As O.V.R began to march forward, Icarus would follow suit by making continuous steps backward while being careful not to break his line of sight from O.V.R. The one hiccup of Icarus whole set-up is that when it came to remote hacking Icarus was required to keep constant eye contact with his target: if his line of sight to O.V.R was broken for too long his signal would be lost and he'd be forced to start over.
Harvested.”
The horrifying audio of his former allies' deaths filled the air about them alongside the distorted voice of O.V.R listing off the names of each of the heroes he'd slaughtered. Each name was someone Icarus had spent the better part of the last year watching. He may not have ever had many personal encounters with the other heroes of the guild, but he did observe each and every one of them on a regular basis. He was their eyes and ears over their missions, and if there was anyone who should have seen this coming it was him.

While continuing to step back to create distance between himself and O.V.R. Icarus neglected to feel through his next step and would end up catching the back of his foot on a loose piece of rubble causing him to trip over onto his backside. Laughing nervously and continuing to hide how he was really feeling right about now, which was terrified to the core, he retorted back "Nah - I just thought you'd make a good addition to this scrapyard." with those words, Icarus moved on his plan-B: self-destruct.

Icarus ordered the sentry drones to create more distance between themselves and O.V.R - they'd continue laying down suppression fire whilst the EMP drones which were latched onto O.V.R began to flash a bright red. In the few seconds before detonating the EMP drones, Icarus shouted out to Alistair in warning "Move out of the way, now!!!" and in just a split second after Icarus said those words - KABOOM!!

Icarus started making his way back to his feet, calling out to Alistair after the explosion while still keeping his sight on the hazy figure of O.V.R through the smoke "Yo, you alright over there." he then called in his sentry drones to rally onto his position where he would grab onto a handle at the bottom of one of the drones and hovering up above the location. Wanting a birds-eye view to see what effect that explosion had on O.V.R.

Looking the contract over once Doby had handed it to him, Juan scanned it carefully all while he listened to Doby explain his purpose for being here at all.

"So you're a armed contractor." He said at last once Doby was done, and he had his fill of what was offered on the paper. "Well, if this 'Master' of yours believes they can offer me something of interest to me- then I suppose I'm willing to take a look at this task you've come all this way to deliver. You're free to join," he said with a nod. "I'm sure Blue appreciates the thought," he said a bit louder for 'blue' to hear it specifically. "However before we take this task you've brought here as a representative to the Hero's Guild, I have business I must settle with my friend here." He nodded to the female with the bunny ears. "If you don't mind tagging along for that and then we'll head off to this location that the Master of the Guild wants us to be at once she's settled. Would that be fine?"

Ciri’s teasing question about whether they just had a lot to drink had San doubling back on her belief of this vanishing house. She looked over at the booze that was on the table she spotted Babueles drinking when they came in and she pursed her lips in annoyance. Huh. Interesting. Though, Ciri's teasing went unanswered in lieu of business.

Feeling Juan’s hand on her shoulder turning into something else, she looked at it with some mild concern, only realizing it’s now an amphibian-like hand. She looked back up at him as he told Babueles to keep an eye on the house, and focused on Doby and-...

He smiled.

That was rare.

The smile suited him, and it actually soothed San for a brief moment, and then the feeling startled her into being wary again. When Juan spoke of the Hero’s Guild, San’s eyes darted back to Doby. It seemed Juan wasn’t too against working with a member of the Hero’s Guild, but there was something about the Hero’s Guild she’d rather not deal with herself. However, she was still a client of Juan. She’d have to help Doby, too. Babueles sounded irritated when he went back to drinking, and San stared at him for a bit longer. Was she too forward? Does he hate her? Will he try to hurt her later? Probably.

Time to keep a close eye on him.

Doby was all too kind - and that startled San a bit more. She stared at him, her amber eyes practically unblinking as she watched him shake Juan’s hand. Hearing how excited he was, Pyre was also against the Syndicate, at least in some capacity. She looked up at Juan, a bit peeved that she got stuck working with him now. She never really wanted to go against the Syndicate, it was far too dangerous. She stared at the letter, her eyes glued to the page, but it didn’t really give a whole lot of information, which was both good and bad. Whoever wanted to meet Juan needed their help and didn’t want anyone knowing who was going to be meeting who. It was also bad because it could be set up as an ambush. When Doby said something about someone exchanging information… San realized they’ll be meeting this ‘Master’ soon.

Then Doby offered his gun to Juan? She looked at Doby confused, the rat man’s odd behavior making her head tilt.

Then Juan spoke, guessing what Doby was and offered to get Ciri’s windows handled first and then they were to go to the location. She looked up at Juan, then Doby, then sighed. She looked away, lightly grabbing Juan’s jacket between her forefinger and thumb, tugging on it lightly. She wasn’t about to talk to him about her problems now, but she wanted him to know that she didn’t feel good about this, her wariness only exacerbated her anxiety and she hoped Juan could feel that. However, despite her anxiety, there was a willingness and a slight impatience in getting it handled; determination to the job.

Though, now she realized that set of emotion for him to sense was really confusing.
