Took on these traits and detriments. With the mutations mostly being aesthetic in purpose so she could fix the concept.

Bounding Legs 2
Second Mouth 1 (Tail)
Tail 1
Unusual hide 1 (fur) +1 Soak

Flaw
Wyld Mutant
Derangement, (Minor) Delusion

And the detriments because I like making things harder for myself and to balance over any gains.

Since we're on the topic, should Toun be rolling for Limit as well?

The Lunar must endure deprivation, poverty, or extreme physical hardship due to an adversary, or to achieve one of his or his Circle’s goals.

When I took it, I kind of understood extreme physical hardship to essentially be torture and excessive exposure to the elements for a prolonged period.

Personally I wouldn't ask for such a thing, seeing as Toun's a native northerner and a chosen of Lunar. Then again, I'm not the ST for this game.

Also, speaking as a bloke sitting behind a keyboard and computer screen, I am loving the drama developing here.

Figured I should at least mention it for the GM to decide. None of the games I've played in have made significant use of limit. Taking away player agency (or at least most of it) just seems bad. Especially if it ends up being for a whole session or more.

I am too. Hopefully I am not making things less fun for anyone for playing on Hazels insecurities.

But I'm looking forward to seeing how it will resolve. Or if I can get Hazel to communicate how she feels about the matter. Lol she doesnt have fancy looks to give.

I just find it darkly amusing that Hazel thinks Two Mornings is flipping out over a small thing when it's a thing Two Mornings has fought, killed, and (if not for Luna exalting her) died for.

Hazel isnt mad that Two Mornings is against slavery actually. Despite have a distinctly different view when it comes to spirits and other sorcerous implements, Hazel is also against slavery.

She is angry at the dismissal of her and her opinion. As well as being ignored.

Just as emancipation is one of the Defining principals of Two Mornings life, such is Sorcery to Hazel.

Also! I should explain that Hazel going to do things in private is her submitting to Touns request about not poking at Two Mornings.

The "out of sight out of mind" approach.

She was reasoned with. She's just not happy about it.

However, given the mysteries she feels that surround certain events, she feels the need to solve what she can. But since it goes against the like of some, doing such things in private from now on may be the best way she can do it without making Two Mornings upset.

Oof. And that's a miscommunication there. Two Mornings isn't dismissive at all about Hazel's command of sorcery. What she's dismissive of is her authority over the spirit, because she doesn't view servitude as legitimate.

This is going to be a fun knot to untangle.

Indeed. Hazel was going to wait until she had enough time to go into details about it. As she knew they had to leave soon. Once she learned more she'd decide what to do. If she deemed it as some sort of enslaved being that wanted no part in it, she'd probably let it go. She isnt heartless. Hence why her 'orders' were first just "yo, it would be nice if you did this. But if you can't, just do what you want all day, you've been cooped up a while", so they could move on without having ti send it back into the statue, and ask more about it when she could.

At least until Two Mornings snubbed her. That got her goat, and things got compounded by the way she feels Toun is acting towards her.

I think I see a bit of her perspective.

Hazel: What do I have to do to make you stop treating me like a weakling!?

Toun: *confused head tilt* What do you mean? I treat everyone that way. Why do you think I step in front of all the attacks?

I'm a bit under the weather though. So I'm probably going to have to slow down a bit today. Hard to think lately.

Sorry to hear that you are not felling well. Get some rest and feel better soon.

Lol partly, but not entirely. She understands that much. She feels she has been treated like a child or looked down on as such.

As well, she feels Toun can get angry and say "shut up" while she feels if she does it to him, it wouldnt go well for her.

She likes Toun a lot, likes that he cares for her, but doesn't feel that she is being treated as a peer. More like a kid sister.

D. Rex D. Rex I added a folder to my Dropbox in the 3rd Edition Exalted books called Book(s) of Laughing Serpents. In that are five PDFs with some demons of the First and Second Circle for you to look at, along with the few that are listed in the Core book.

Toun does see things that way. Though he intends to look out for her and not look down on her, he's not perfect. Even still, I play him probably more mild-mannered than I should, given that he's an Ice Walker. I partly chalk that up to One Tusk and Gwen's advice and my own personal take on things. I imagine grabbing people by the face and pitching them into various bits of scenery are moments that should be saved for later.

The "shut up" moment was very much lashing out because he disapproved of how she was handling Two Morning's near murderous rage. He saw it as a light dismissal and refusal to listen to objections, though he agrees her fervor is excessive. Rather than watch things escalate, his rash overreaction was just that. As intended.

I don't see the action/reaction as wrong, just an interesting consequence of who the characters themselves are.

All that really remains is for them to find a better way to communicate such things, even literally with such a weird language gap that exists in this group. I would think Hazel, more than anyone, would want to learn Old Realm which is what most mystical texts and spirits use. Then again, 3E languages still seem a bit off to me since they took Dragontongue from being the ancient "High Holy Speech" of the pre-human Dragon-Kings to a poetic amalgam of other languages Mnemon invented because reasons (See 3E Core's Languages merit).

As for the illness, it's not so bad, just minor and annoying. Everything should be fine for Turkey day tomorrow. I hope everyone else here in the states has a Happy Thanksgiving too, by the way.

Sherwood Sherwood

Based on her knowledge of Demonology, her goal is to gain information on the going ons in Malfeas.

1. Would she be able to send the demon back to Malfeas to spy, and call it back easily?

2. She is also seeking questions answered immediately. The two candidates she is looking at is the Mahagibbor(endless wings) and the Grimaboju (hungry masks). Which would she know to be the better to summon for this task?

Lol just so you know. I am not defending Hazel, she is indeed acting spiteful. And then mostly due to her irritation.

And no worries about Tuon. I wouldnt have him any other way lol. Hazel is a tough gal, she can handle it rough. She will just so what she can to dish it back. Though obviously her words and wit are more potent than her puny arms.

And I agree. I like seeing the not perfect dynamic they have. Gives the relationships of the circle an all around deeper feel, i believe.

Lol I'm eagerly waiting when Hazel learns about Gwen and Selket being lovers with Toun. She wont take it well feeling the odd one out. (Two mornings doesnt count, she has Rocky). Will get her jealous real quick. I get to have her throw her hands up in the air and say "What am I, chopped liver?" As such, they might want to keep it hush hush until she calms down.

And that's a good idea. Hazel would most certainly want to learn that. Especially from Toun. She has the Lunar xp for it. Just not the time to sit down and learn.

And a Happy Thanksgiving to you and you all too!

I'll preemptively say that I'm quite grateful to have ran into Sherwood, you all, and Exalted.

Thanks to all of you, too. If it were not for this awesome group of players, I wouldn't be able to have nearly as much fun!

BTW, I am in PM talks with Srale Srale about the possibility of joining the game. Would anyone have any objections to this?

lol Sherwood. You do like to take on new players. Does Srale have any experience with Exalted, or is he/she new to the system?

No objections from me! But then again, I'm in a self imposed time-out from Pumpkin.

I know the guy in passing. Hes joining an rp I made. Hes a new player to RPN.

I haven't had a chance to play with him. But he seems to have a good head on his shoulders and a genuine interest in rp.

And I'm not against another circle member in general either, should it come to pass. Though I'm also not familiar with the optimal size of Exalred groups.
