Dr. Jody Harston
Location: Docks-Reclaimers HQ| Mentions: ShadowBroker ShadowBroker

Jody knew the worn path the acolyte took him down all to well, a path dearly familiar to his heart. Well what was left of it anyway... The pungent smell of earth overcame his senses as he slowly made his descent into Dante’s Inferno, the warmth of Hell a welcoming sensation. Soon the voices of the inhabitants collected in his ears, echoing his arrival. This is it... My home.

The entrance into the main floor erupted with the evangelical shouting and praising of Solomon, the loved leader of The Reclaimers. The doctor never fancied the catharsis some allowed themselves to indulge, instead preferring to agree with the views from a scientific standpoint. Though Solomon couldn’t me more charismatic. I’ll have to admit that. The man who he almost deemed a father avidly chanted above, distracting the crowd of his arrival entirely. But alas, Jody and the escort reached the stage, pausing Solomon from his preaching. Returning the light expression to the older man, he knew the direction Solomon began to direct him well also. It was the war room.

Once arriving in the privacy of the Reclaimer inner circle, he let out a deep breath. I apologize Father, you know I do not look at the world as you do. However, you’ve raised me right. We do share a simple notion: all non-humans must die.” Jody began to pace the spacious room, simply out of nerves. If he didn’t smoke he paced. “The gas will be ready within days. I’m having my resources establish probable cause to test its usage, however; it comes at a cost. Our brothers must light the match for me to demonstrate the power God has bestowed upon me.”

[div class=back] go back [/div][/div] [div class=border][div class=opacitybg][/div] [div class=box] Sam simply hummed in reply before heading over to man the other side of the counter. Unlike her brother, she didn't exactly get a full education on bartending but he had taught her enough so that she was able to keep up. Besides, it was just like concocting poison that was still being current taught to her. Just know how much to mix and what to mix and you'd be good to go. With Eric though, there was always a show when mixing. Still, she liked doing it. A good break from all the stealing and the killing and the spying. An off time, you could say.

Seeing as there wasn't anything to be done yet, she leaned on the counter and gave a small wave to the blue-skinned succubi before turning back to her brother. "That's just it. I don't have anything interesting going on." Sam knew that she couldn't very well tell her brother that she had killed a man around an hour ago and stole from at least three people. Or rather, she couldn't just say that while they were working and people could be listening in. The last thing she wanted was getting busted because she tattled to him.

"Odd jobs are a bust too." It wasn't that she wasn't looking forward to maybe finally getting to steal something worth more than just a couple of hundred dollars, it was just that she wasn't feeling too up to it. And heaven knows how her performance isn't as good as when she's completely motivated. Sam let out a huff and muttered so only Eric could hear, "You think the G.T.I. has something good going on?" These guys were wild in their own sense but wasn't to the point of Ouroboros. They were like minded people. People who were too bored and had too much time on their hands. Of course, they were just as illegal and something that shouldn't be taken lightly but she made some good memories running with them here and there.

DARYN
[/div] [div class=font] [/div] [/div]
[div class=bg]
[div class=font2] Ask and you shall receive. Daryn’s lips curled into a smirk as her suggestion gained Shin’s favor. The ghost of his kiss was still lingering on the back of her hand when he hurried out of the headquarter. If he was used to her impish nature then she shared the same sentiments regarding his thrill-seeking tendencies. Daryn has lost count of the times she had to drag his ass away from Death’s embrace. However, she would never want him to change despite all the whines and complaints she has thrown his way. Shin wouldn’t be Shin if he stop being an adrenaline-junkee. Furthermore, it was one of the reasons why she latched unto him like an octopus in heat.

Cherry fingers gently brushed the spot before facing Persephone with a smile, “You know the advertisement might be twice as effective if you put my face on it.” she jested before sending the other female a wink.

Daryn was convinced her childhood friend would be waiting for her outside but she immediately realized that it wouldn’t be the case when her eyes caught sight of a gigantic woman falling down from the sky. Even from a distance she could tell that the Oni was much larger than the average of their kind. Fucking hell... she could be a wonderful addition to the gang. That is, of course, if she manage to stop Shin from either killing her or getting killed by her.

With that, Daryn rushed to put on her good shoes: the ones she imbued with magic to enhance her speed and agility. “I’m gonna go make sure Shin returns with only a few bones broken.” she told the Lamia with a short laugh before bolting out of the warehouse.

Only to plummet straight into something- or to be much more precise- someone. She could feel her face squished against a warm yet firm surface while her front seemed to be pressed against some unusual... appendages. Daryn blinked twice in confusion before retracting herself from the figure who was (un)fortunate enough to share an awkward scene with the infamous succubus.

Lo, as she craned her neck upwards; before her loomed a fine man with a toned torso (she could tell even if he was wearing a nice shirt), hair as pure as silver, three pairs of red-black eyes, and a bunch of....legs? An arachnae. Daryn spent all her life in Edgewater and his kind was definitely on the rarer side of the spectrum. Of course it wasn’t her first time seeing one but it was indeed the first time she got up-close with one. Needless to say, she was very fascinated wth the stranger.

“Oh my, bumping into someone is quite the cliche, don’t you think so?” she began, followed by lips spreading into a mischievious smile, “Bonus point if they’re really attractive...” she kept her gaze on his main set of eyes before letting out an audible giggle. Now, she would love to ask him why he was standing on their doorstep but her duty as a responsible childhood friend must come first.

“Say, did you happen to see a man here run off somewhere? He got a short, black, hair; few inches taller than me; and probably has a murderous look on his face. Ring any bell?”

It was clear this was a war-room, but not of that of flesh and blood - but the never-endless struggle of the mind. The rusted stone beneath their feat barely moved by the presence of two strong individuals in their own way. The radical and the zealot, only the candle within grasp reach marked the line between the two individual's thinking.

"Do you know who sat here?" Solomon asked with a curious look on his face, resting his hands in the back of the chair closer to him, leaving his mouth open as to continue, knowing well in his heart that his son did not know the answer,- "It had been years since Father Beric told me the story of Karolus Magnus, king of the Francs. A king that bare witnessed to the Norsemen invasion. The forces of Satan that gathered at the coast to pillage and burn - but he stood strong among his peers and strive, yet even then he could not help but to silently cry." leaving the chair alone, he focused on his own son as he continued the approach, "He knew his sons and daughters, even if he had them pull back to shore, he knew his cities and holdings would be forever in constant threat from the never endless hoards." -he looked at his son up and down, his own lips hidden behind his facial hair making no expression beside of a long look.

"And here you are." his hands bouncing off in the air, extending his arms around the figure of his son, both admiring and judging him, "The sword of God, the wrath of the elements and more. The Avatar of our people. Everyone is counting in your ability to bring justice to the realm of men..."- he took a step even closer, resting his restless hands over Jody's shoulders, the smell of incense following as he responded to his last statement, "I raised you well, I raised you right, my son." -yet somehow, within his eyes he could watch his disappointment "Yet you are still far from the man you are meant to be."

He slapped his shoulders a few times before moving on to what was important, "Leliana will be ready with a few others to follow your orders. A faithful woman and fearful of God's chosen. Her father a veteran learnt all that she could from him, she is the asset you need." -confirmed with a nod to himself, folding his arms behind his back and turning around to face him once more from his side of the table, "As god said, we can show no mercy to unbelievers. They will return with Satan's fog or we will kill them in the name of our Lord that is at heaven. In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti. " -as he moved his hand over in the air, "-And son. Do not take unnecessary compromises - You are God's finest - but you are not unbeatable."

Archin wanted for a moment only to have a red skinned something run directly into him, he looked down at her taking a moment to try and remember what exactly she was...definitely not a human, but he had caught one or two... succubi that what they where called right? Regardless she pulled herself off him which archin was thankfully off since that could have been a lot more awkward then this was to begin with. She finally looked up at him archin simply stared back at her with all of his eyes, she mentioned something about bumping into people being... cliche what was a cliche? She seemed to find it amusing was it how he looked? No she just complimented him on that, right. Before he could response she when of on another tangent about some human he was assuming running off, and by her description of him yes he had. “ first of all thank you for the compliment second of all yes I think I saw someone match that description looks like the where going after the...what are they called again... oni, that just feel form the sky wierd but hey got here the same way... anyway he went that way” archin pointed towards the direction where he say the human run off “just round the corner and you should see him mabye” after that he moved out of her way so she could go do whatever it is she was intending on doing.

Vek & Shin

Vek was perplexed by her surroundings. She had heard rumours of people disappearing here and there, but she hadn’t paid much attention. Now she was surrounded by an entirely unfamiliar world, all grey stones and glass and lights. Luckily for her, she was then ambushed. Being transported instantly to strange and unfamiliar worlds was unsettling. Being ambushed was practically old hat at this point. This one was fast, but only one man. He was likely still dangerous, but not being overwhelmed was always nice. She took him it at a glance as she reacted to his attack. The part of her brain that had done this hundreds of thousands of times evaluated him. Lean, fast and likely dangerous. Sword was best expected to be enchanted so as not to be surprised, so avoid till certain. Too lean to take much damage, but probably too fast to be easily hit. Unless he went for the kill she probably needed to hold back so as to not squish him. At the same time as her mind was evaluating her body was reacting on fairly well ingrained instinct, leaning back sharply and slashing down with Wind-Cutter, sending a crescent of green energy his way.

Shin was unsurprised when the oni dodged out of the way of his slash as his eye for good fighters was really quite keen. In fact, he would have been disappointed if she hadn’t as that would have made for a boring fight in his eyes. His grin widening at the thought, Shin twisted his body out of the way of the incoming energy slash in a remarkable feat of agility. Upon landing he immediately drew his handgun with his left hand, squeezing off two rapid shots as he dashed in again to deliver another slash, one made far heavier than it might appear due to the application of his gravity magic.

Vek watched the human react midair to the slash and upgraded him to a very highly skilled fighter in her mind. This could be fun. As he landed he drew something small and metallic in his left hand, and used whatever it was to fire two projectile at her. Each hit her torso like a fairly hefty punch, but nothing that was going to cause problems. Her grin got feral when he dove for her. In her right hand she slashed the axe down and it disappeared, while she turned directly into a punch with her left hand. As she swung directly at his sword obsidian gauntlets appeared on her hands, and they crashed together with a colossal impact.

Shin had to admit that he was not expecting her to punch his sword. Generally, people tried to parry or evade that sort of strike, not take it head on. That being said, rather than throw Shin off of his game, the oni’s decision just made everything more fun. This was the kind of fight Shin craved, full of unpredictability and excitement. He was thinking this even as he was blown backwards from the force of the clash, his right arm completely numb and his ears ringing from the reverberations of metal on metal. Despite this, and grinning like a man possessed, Shin immediately pounced back towards the oni, his gun discarded and both hands grasping the hilt of his sword. He had discarded all notions of defense as he drove in towards her, instead he placed everything into one last massive slash. The only indication that he held anything back was that he aimed for her arm, rather than her head.

Vek watched the man react to the fight the exact same way she was and rejoiced in it. She banished the gauntlets as he came for her, and for a moment shifted slightly like she was going to dodge. Instead she leaned into the strike, and felt the flare of pain as her left arm was severed below the elbow. However at the same time, she swung her right arm down onto the mans back, holding back some, but not so much that he wasn’t going to hit the ground in a less than healthy way.

Shin’s strike landed, but so did the oni’s as he had expected. As such, when he hit the ground, Shin tucked into a ball and rolled, managing to take the edge off of the impact. Even so, it still hurt like hell, and when he stood up his right arm was dangling in a decidedly unhealthy way. Despite this, Shin was still grinning, though the feeling from that grin had changed from unsettling and predatory, to kid in a candy shop. “Name’s Shin,” he said cheerfully sheathing his sword and going to retrieve his gun, noticeably limping in the process, “And it’s been a longass time since I had that kinda fun.”

Vek disengaged when she saw the man doing the same. As she watched him pick his other weapon up and sheathe his sword out of the corner of her eye, she leaned down and picked up her left hand with her right arm. Her left arm was still bleeding, but the bleeding was already slowing down a lot. When she spoke her voice was cheerful and booming, “Likewise friend!” She hesitated a brief moment before deciding not to use her full name, “I’m Vek! Would you mind telling me where exactly I ended up?”

Odette's eyes widen and hid behind the rock. He did see me! What am I going to do!? She started to freak out. She peeked to look at him again and then hid again. She did this about two more times seemingly not able to make up her mind. She then calmed herself freaking out wasn't going to make things any better. In the end, she decided to respond back seeing as he didn't seem like he meant her harm. But she did not come from behind the rock. She peeked her head out again. "Um Hello," She said slightly timid. Ok, that wasn't so bad. Although Odette wasn't completely sure how safe it was she kind of wanted to get closer. She stared at him waiting for his next move.

Fight:
"THIS IS GOING TO BE A ROUGH ONE FOLKS, CAN OUR CHALLENGER BEAT THE REIGNING CHAMP?! PUT YOUR BETS IN NOW, IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITS ORABUGG THE PULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLVERIZER!"

The announcers words echoed through the chamber where a large figure stood in the shadow, its hulking form squatting over a bench. Small pebbles fell from its form as slowly stood up, its rocky plates cracking as they shifted across its body. Two small figures covered in red and blue clothes and mismatching metal pieces approached brandishing two spearlike weapons that crackled with energy at the tip, though their advance was stopped by a lethargic raise of the creatures hand. He had done this many times before and no longer had to be goaded into battle like an animal. Pulling at the chains that were attaching to his wrists he stomped once, an explosive crash echoing out into the fighting arena and silencing the otherwise restless crowd. The large boulders at the end of the chains pulled against him as he slowly started forward, but after a few moments started to drag across the hard concrete ground with a horrifying grating. Much like one of the 'unstoppable trains' Zoru constantly compared him to he slowly started to build up speed and soon he was pulling the rocks like paperwieghts as he made a b-line for the crude gate that blocked the exit, the two guards pressing themselves against the wall as they saw him coming.

His small, wet eyes were closed tightly to protect him against the bright lights that glared down at the area as he crashed through the obstacle, exploding into the open field with a deafening crash. As his body came to a halt about ten meters out from the entrance he shifted the momentum, pulling the two boulders from behind him into the air before pulling them back down for effect, knocking up rock and dust in his wake. He couldn't roar in celebration of his arrival, but he had the audience to this for him. They're anticipation suddenly morphed into excitement and a wall of sound enveloped the arena. Blinking away the brightness of the lights he reacquainted himself with familiar sights, the throngs of people that sat in the crowded seating crying out for violence, the pillar like structure that looked down upon the fight where Zoru and his friends probably sat right now, and his opponent, directly infront of him. It was an Oni this time. She was quite tall, almost as tall as he was, clad in a mixture of leather and metal that reminded him of the handlers. Her face was hardened, perhaps she was a warrior before all this, but could not hide the pain that was leaking through each crevice and wrinkle. Such pain was almost overwhelming, and cut to his heart more than any blade could, but he did not falter, instead searching the body for the source of such pain. Her arms. There were two mismatched appendages that were grafted onto her chest a few inches below her original arms, each one just barely smaller than the two that came before it and both different hues of oni. Where they connected to the body was hidden, though he was sure it was covered in scrawled symbols much like he was. In her two upper hands she held two large swords that were stained with rust...or blood and her two lower hands had been wrapped much like a boxers would have been.

"BETTING IS CLOSED LADIES AND GENTS! ITS TIME TO RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMBLE!"

His opponent let out a battle cry that was immediately swallowed by the louder screaming of the fans and charged him with a violent intent in her eyes. With a jerk of the chain he pulled one of the rocks free from the small crater it had been resting in, swinging it around over his head once, twice, three times before letting it out into a wide arc towards the poor creature. Seeing the danger she quickly sheathed her weapons, using all four arms to catch the rock as it came towards her. The momentum carried her back a few meters, but she had successfully stopped the crude weapon from knocking her aside like it had weaker opponents who had tried the same thing. Upon closer inspection one could see a handful of fingers were twisted in bent incorrectly, blood pooling where the bone broke the skin, and one of the calico arms had snapped in its entirety, hanging limp against her hip with only the magic keeping it attached to her body. With the effort of a tired laborer she drops the boulder a few inches infront of her with a boom. The crowd roars.

Clambering onto the stone she had just subdued she raised her weapons into the air in defiance. She lived through the first attack, there was hope for her victory yet. He could not see it but once confident betters subtly slipped money into clandestine pockets as they changed their bets under the presumption of safety from the rules of the arena. He let her have her moment before swinging out with his second rock, which whips past her on her warpath towards him, lodging itself into the ground just inches from the other one and leaving a clear path denoted by the chains that laid on either side of the charging oni. With the patience only a rock could show he waited until she was in arms reach before suddenly lunging forward, one arm outstretched. His fingers slip between her arms and chest, squeezing gently as she is slowly raised into the air, but she is not done yet. Desperately she bring hers weapons down onto his arms. One sword skitters off his exterior harmlessly, the power behind the attack causing it fall out of her hand, but the other slips between the plates, a pinprick of pain shooting through his arm. Inside yellow eyes suddenly flash open and his fist clamp down, crushing the oni like one would a soda can before dropping her limp body onto the ground. The crowd roars.

He barely makes it back to the waiting room before collapsing down onto the bench, his shoulders heavy with the burden of this fight. Attendants rush to his side, pulling the chains off of his wrists as the cat, now having been woken, takes its place once again on his shoulders. A single digit rubs into the back of the small felines head, prompting it to rumble and purr contently. The sound of a door sliding open and freshly waxed boots clicking against the concrete floor cause him to raise his head a little, eyes resting on the lead figure. A tall man with a rough patchy beard, eyes that glinted when the word money was even alluded to and a grin that could ease the most stormy of seas, all dressed head to toe in layers of jackets and robes that he assured rock were coming back into fashion, whatever that meant. He broke the formation of men that surrounded him, strolling easily towards the fighter with one hand outstretched towards the cat, which simple hissed and crawled down into Orabuggs lap.

"ho touchy thing aren't you! Cheer up, you won! And what a spectacle it was!!!" He turned to one of his guards. "Did you see when he crushed that Onis's chest" his voice laden with excitement, to which the guard responded with a curt yes. With a slight hint of dissatisfaction at the answer he turned back to Orabugg, raising his jaw just a little as he went on. "It was magnificent, splendid, amazing even! I told you that you were meant for great things when I found you rotting away in that junkyard! AND. HERE. YOU. ARE!" He took a moment to look over the obviously distraught fighter before pulling out a small sack and dropping it on the bench beside him. "Here you go big guy, why don't you go out on the town and get some action if you know what I mean! And tomorrow you'll have your cut in your bank and you'll forget that Oni ever existed, I know I have!" With that he waved goodbye and started off, disappearing in the throng of guards.

He sat there for a few moments in silence before standing up and making his way up through the secret passageways, appearing through a door that lead out into a back parking lot. Towering over him was a brewery, its smoke stacks consistently leaking fumes and its glass dirtied with time, and in the parking lot was a few delivery trucks and a single rusty red pickup. A small, rotund man with a receding hairline and a broad smile turned once he heard the door open, greeting them with both arms outstretched. "Hey Orabugg! Good work cleaning up that oni back there!" Orabugg said nothing, simply placing his hand on the bed of the truck and looking at him questioningly. "Oh yeah we got a delivery to run, your welcome to climb in the back if you want, just dont step on those kegs!" The line had the cadence of a joke, and was followed up by a small chuckle as the man climbed in and turned on the vehicle, leaving the rock creature to climb in the back, the extra weight causing it to dip a little. His thoughts drifted as they pulled out onto the road, the surprisingly nimble vehicle constantly switching lanes and slipping between slower trucks and cars as if it was commonplace. Before long they were cross the bridge and heading into the downtown, the buildings rising higher and higher the farther he looked. As they passed a small sedan he was pulled from contemplation by a small child, her pudgy cheeks pressed against the window as she stared at him with awe clear across her young face. He gave her a slight wave, which she returned eagerly before turning off onto a different road and disappearing into the city. The squealing of the trucks breaks as the turned onto an street was his only warning before they pulled to the side, crawling to a halt infront of the infamous bar. Across the street he could see an Oni and some guy making up, both of them bloody from what he could only figure was a hard fought battle, but he opted to ignore them as his ride leaned out of the car. "I would meet you inside, but I got some business to attend to...and you know Zoru." Nodding slightly, he climbed out of the vehicle as gently as he could, watching it pull into the alleyway beside the building before turning to the entrance. Even with it being as large as the doors were he still had to contort himself to fit in properly, straightening out as he strolled towards the bar. Grabbing a pencil and some paper that were used for trivia night he carefully wrote the words 'milck plees in bol' before slipping the paper over to the bartender, his cat reappearing from its hiding hole, walking down his arm and resting in the palm of his rocky hand as he sat it on the counter.

"....And then, after the effects wear off, we should continue on this side passage here... Probably they'd try to flee there. After that, we"
"-We continue along the rooftops, to the hideout. Make sure we put some distance between ourselves and the R.I.C.T. Cleanup crews. We go there, we fuck them up, make sure there's some noise, and then we're out."

Mike laughed. To Joseph, the sound was rather unpleasant, landing somewhere between a cry and a screech in terms of both volume and feel.
"Gotta say. When it comes to killing dozens of people, we're one hell of a team."
Joseph chuckled alongside him. "That and breaking new ground in Magical Technology. Hehe. We should start a company, or something. "Joseph&Mike: R&D(And the occasional bloodbath)"

"You still need some work on picking good names though..."
"Yeah.... I'm gonna need some more work in that department to be honest. Either that or I'll just force everyone to like the name".

Singing along to a song he had playing on stereo, Joseph began donning his partial exo. He had decided there was no need for the big guns, as he was just going to be hunting small game tonight. Specifically, a minor gang located in the rift district. He'd never have heard of them, but then some of their victims started turning up horribly mutilated, as if though parts of some sort of ceremony... Then again, a small time criminal probably wouldn't be too big on religion. No, most likely it just was a madman. Few tears would be shed over his corpse.

"Honestly though, why don't we just go after some bigger target? What, are we some sort of Vigilantes now? Going after carjackers and rapists? Cmon, man! There's bigger fish out there! "
"There'll be plenty of time for that, Mike. For now, I'd like to go after unimportant targets. Get some practice in and the like. It's not like we have anything better to do anyway.

He Finished suiting up and, while waiting for all the exo software to boot up, decided to take one last look through the cameras. Finding nothing of note, he got up and was about to leave, when suddenly Mike yelped excitedly. Joseph turned in a haze towards the Large Screen again. And he saw it

Yet another camera in the Rift District was staring right into another camera. Both of them appeared to have been dumped right in front of a third camera, In northshore of all places. He excitedly scanned through the footage. After a few minutes of searching, he finally found what he was looking for.

A Rabbitfolk woman came into focus. She was utterly covered in Gore, as if though she had literally taken in a bath in a corpse pile. She dragged her feet, and even had a slight Limp. Joseph could only Guess it had been a long night. She was about to disappear out of sight when she suddenly tensed, started looking all around. In about 10 minutes, she had found his camera. She dislodged it(quite crudely, he had to admit: The latches would need repairing now), held it up to her face, and waved at it. She then palmed it, covering the lens. For the next forty minutes, the only audio that could be heard was grunting and puffing. Finnaly, the camera dropped unceremoniously in front of one of his other cameras, in Northshore.

He stepped back in bewilderment, Mike zipping around him excitedly. "Look at her Go! She's even read our note. She went through so much trouble just to not destroy the camera itself! And the Gore? Did you see that? That was just-"

Joseph held a hand up. "She's interesting all right. But She's made a slip-up. Have you noticed how the only cameras that are ever gone are from the Rift District? And, More specifically, This here part of Rift District?"

Joseph's hands danced on the keyboard as he rapidly searched R.I.C.T.'s Database. Soon he had found what he had wanted. On that particular area, there happened to be a subway tunnel. Long abandoned. Now, it was several kilometers long, and he couldn't exactly pinpoint the location of a hideout-but it would be a great place to tap. He smiled at nothing in particular, a wide, dangerous smile.

"Good, try, little bunny. Very good try. But It's gonna take more than that for me to leave you alone..."

He stood up, grabbing a notepad and pen, while also strapping for a fight. There's a good chance his actions tonight would bring him one. Either way, he would be happy.
He had her.

"Change of plans, Mike: We're gonna have a nice chat with a bunny instead."

Mike could barely hide his excitement as he continued zipping all over the place.

In about an hour, the cameras were replaced. However, this time, another note accompanied them. Joseph decided to be extra cheeky and put them in front of one of the subway entrances

"If your intent was to intrigue me, I have to say, you did one hell of a Job. I'd like for us to meet, But I do believe you value your privacy in that subway, Just like I value mine. So, how about we meet up in neutral territory?

214 st., Downtown. I'll meet you on the roof. Please be quick. This is highly coveted information and I need to decide what best to do with it!

P.S. Really Appreciate that you listened to me and preserved the cameras. Definitely earned you a few Brownie points in my book

Nothing going on, that would explain why Sam had dropped in outside of her shift, not that he was at all unhappy to see her though. He paused for a second when she asked about GTI, combing through all the information he'd gathered recently. "As far as I recall GTI just ended an altercation they were having with a nearby gang, so they're looking for new action in all likelihood," he replied at a similar volume so that only she could hear. While Eric had no real qualms about his other job, it was likely that his bar's popularity would decline should his patrons learn that their friendly bartender was in fact spying on them.

However, no sooner had he said that to Sam than he heard a familiar set of thumping footsteps. He turned around from where he'd been grabbing a bottle of gin from the wall to see Orabugg, a hulking pile of rock that Sam had befriended during her days in the underground fighting rings. Eric had found out about this specific pastime of Sam's due to a friend of his who also participated in underground fights at the time, a certain blue-skinned succubus who was currently sitting at the bar nursing old fashioneds. That being said, Eric didn't have time to ponder as Orabugg reached the counter and scribbled out a request for milk to feed his cat. "Right away," Eric said with a smile, briefly vanishing into the kitchen and returning with the requested bowl which he set down on the bartop in front of the cat. He had to admit that he had a soft spot for the gentle giant, there was just something calming about watching him care for his cat in contrast to the the rest of the bar.

Charlotte Salem Pezzini
-Training by the Docks-

While Chiesler is out on city patrok, Charlotte took the time to get to the docks to practice her magic. She had her magic codex laid on the wooden floor boards, opened at the 'Manipulation' chapter where the main spell is curretly the focus of her practice; water manipulation. Charlotte sat down on the ledge as she begins her focus on conjuring the spell. It requires two processes: apply a specific amount of mana on the water and lift it up. The lesser the mana, the lighter the volume of water can be lifted. But the higher the mana, the heavier it gets. Charlotte has to go easy with the spell, and so she made a mana array and applies a small amount of mana.

Charlotte took a breath as she musters her strength to lift up the water, only to realize that she might have put a little too much mana that its too heavy to lift. Charlotte stands up, struggling to lift up the water until she falls onto the wooden boards, letting go of the water. "Ow!" She yelled before sitting back up, scratching her head. "Okay, try again." She says as she draws another mana array and does the same process again. This time, she is able to barely lift a volume of water up, but it is still too heavy to be fully lifted. Yet again, Charlotte fell onto the floor boards. "Oh come on!" She yelled out of frustration as she continues to make her attempts at lifting the water up.

Klaus could understand the indecisiveness. If he was in her position, he would also react in the same way... or perhaps not. His colleagues often reprimanded him for being too friendly with people to the point where he's always willing to talk research to anyone who has the interest in lending him an ear to do so. Though, for what would the research be if no one else but them would be able to know about it.

In any case, he looked back at merfolk as she finally surfaced again and responded this time - audibly. "No need to be afraid. I won't hurt you." He reassured her but still didn't move from his position so that he wouldn't appear threatening. "Well, in any case, are you here to relax as well?" He questioned as he lowered himself and sat down on the sandy beach, facing the sea with her in his line of sight. He still held to his umbrella but otherwise looked relaxed. "The drizzle is a bit unfortunate but a little water can't stop me." He continued, filling the silence with his own speech so that the merforlk would relax as well.

[div class=background][div class=second] [div class=topimg]
[div class=back] go back [/div][/div] [div class=border][div class=opacitybg][/div] [div class=box] Sam's eyes lit up at the news that it was likely that the GTI was going to be up to something bad. Bad and exciting. Though she did momentarily think about how they were doing, considering they had to deal with another gang in the area, Sam found the thought of visiting them again to not be an entirely horrible idea. in fact, it would be the brightest idea she's had all day. To be perfectly fair, all she had thought about that day was walking around aimlessly Downtown and stealing from whoever she could. This was by far more exciting and a hell of a lot safer (though when had she ever cared about the latter).

"I'm definitely visiting." Sam said, a bit louder this time but no one still knew the context so it was fine. She was grinning - obviously happy for something to do. After all, Shin and Daryn were always fun to play with. Daryn most especially. Sam liked to invite her to some thieving sessions every now and then. Though there was no rush, she was currently having a pleasant conversation with her brother and Kylvia was right there. Again. Relaxing. A good change of pace once in a while. Probably will get bored in another few seconds or so. "Maybe I should-" Before she could even finish her sentence, the door opened to reveal a very familiar figure.

The speed at which her boredom dissipated was terrifyingly fast. A wide grin settled onto her face as Orabugg - whom she referred to as Rocky - came up to the counter. The giant hunk of rock didn't talk. Rather, he couldn't. "Rocky, great to see you again!" She would have come up for a friendly hug like she usually did but the counter was in the way so she settled for patting him on the shoulder. "Sorry I haven't been able to visit as often. Mr. Spoilsport over there isn't exactly too fond of the idea of me fighting people to the death on the ring." So, it was an exaggeration but she knew Eric well enough - and saw his behavior often enough - to know that he wasn't exactly all for the idea of the fighting rings. Sam stuck with more legal, less deadly rings where she met a certain blue skinned succubus who told her brother all about her involvement in it.

She reached out her hand slowly to the cat as it emerged. "Aw, who's a good kitty?" She cooed but was careful not to overstep her boundaries. When the cat didn't negatively react, she went ahead to pat it on the head but retracted her hand when the milk had arrived. "On your break time huh Rocky? Won a fight?" She asked, knowing better than to ask questions that weren't a 'yes or no' type of deal. While she could decipher some of what he motioned for, the small game of charades wasn't exactly the most efficient of conversations.

DARYN
[/div] [div class=font] [/div] [/div]
[div class=bg]
[div class=font2] The arachnae appeared to be rather eccentric but Daryn found it cute. She grinned at him as he supplied her with information regarding Shin’s whereabouts before stepping to the side to let her through. “Thank you, big guy!” she snickered, “By the way, do you need somethi-?”

Their little interaction was cut short when she heard a booming crash from not too far. “Oh for fuck’s sake Shin...” she murmured underneath her breath, mind already picturing the scene which was waiting for her. “Uhh, you can wait for me here or follow me or something...!” she told the stranger in a very hurried manner.

The succubus swiftly dashed to the direction he pointed until she turned into a corner and saw one gruesome scene. She was just in time to witness her friend deliver a severing slash to the giant’s left arm and the latter slamming her remaining hand to the former’s back. Daryn simply stared blankly as a gush of wind blew her way because of the impact. She wasn’t even surprised at this point. It wasn’t long before the two fighters, both with heavy injuries, grinned at each other and acted like they’re suddenly the best of friends.

“Oh for fuck’s sake Shin!” she exclaimed, repeating her favorite phrase of the day before running to his side, “There are lots of ways to make new friends! How about next time you try giving them a HUG instead of cutting their arm off?” she gestured to the large Oni standing on a pool of blood to emphasize her point. This is why she can’t keep his eyes off the dude. She blinks for a second and he’s suddenly off stabbing people. Not like she strongly disliked his troublesome behavior but it would be nice if he can avoid situations which might lead to him getting squashed like a cockroach. Of course she has confidence in his abilities but she still has the right to worry.

With that, she turned to her heels and craned her neck to the woman’s towering form. The red-skinned was still highly determined on recruiting the Oni into their infamous gang. It was such a shame that she was now down to one hand. Then again it could be fixed through the help of either cybernetics or magic. Hopefully.

Two brows knitted together as a worried facade bore on Daryn’s features, teeth and fangs gently pressing on her bottom lip. “Vek, isn’t it? Lovely name. I’m sorry about your arm. Shin is very terrible at welcoming people from the Rift, you see.” she began alongside the fluttering of her long lashes, “I feel bad because someone as special as you deserves nothing but the warmest of welcome.”

Yes. A normal person would probably not flirt with an approximately nine-feet tall Oni with a freshly severed arm but luckily this girl was anything but normal. Hopefully her succubus aura would help do the trick.

“Welcome to Edgewater! My name is Daryn and I’d loooooveee to help you get acquainted ‘round these parts but first we’ll have to do something about your arm...and Shin’s.”

A charming smile to her way and then checkmate.

She continued to watch him silently.

"Well, in any case, are you here to relax as well?"

"Relax?" Raised up a little more out of the water but she was still peaking from behind the rock. She watched as he sat down on the sand and looked out to the sea.

"The drizzle is a bit unfortunate but a little water can't stop me."

She came out from behind the rock looking curiously at him. "I like the rain it's safer to come when it rains." She said feeling more relaxed and bolder. Odette swam as close as she could. Suddenly she eyed him again as if unsure of him. "You don't have a net on you do you?" Odette is a very rare race of merfolk. Instead of being a shark she was a jellyfish. Most people thought there wasn't any left after her parents had died when they were captured. They didn't realize there was another one.

During the time Morna explained her tasks to Genba, all she could think about was what a rabbitfolk would taste like. Genba scratched her neck with her claws in a mixture of confusion and eagerness. With a firm nod, "Okay, Morna. For you, I will and find this rabbitfolk you speak of." She grinned revealing some of her pointed teeth, giving a devilish look as she walked past Morna. Not that it was meant in a threatening way, but an excitement for her task to come.
Making way to the back outside, Genba was too large width wise for the standard shower, so instead, she would wash by bucket and cloth outside. Though that was nothing unusual for her as showers wasn't a thing among her kin. She put her iron club down beside her as she kneeled down looking at some of the soap options. There were bottles of various of pastel colors that listed things like, "Vanilla Rose", "Lavender", "Orange Honey." They were gifts from another and Genba really enjoyed the unusual scents. Picking up the Orange Honey liquid body wash, Genba would pour a heavy amount into the bucket and fill it with scorching hot water. There were a couple of rags already set aside.
With a heavy sigh, she would plop on her bottom beginning to unwrapping her bandages and unstrapping her gloves. The top was already loose and could easily wash underneath it without taking it off. Dipping the cloth, she would swish it around a moment before pulling it back out with the soapy contents and lather her body. During the time of her washing, she would pause for a moment thinking of home. This world was too far different from what she was use to. She didn't like it here, she didn't like that she could not enjoy the things she use to without judgement or hate. Though, there were some nice things she was introduced to that she did not know existed.
Some time passed as she finished washing up pouring the remaining water over herself. Genba stood up grabbing a towel and drying off the best she could. With a fierce huff, she grabbed her belongings and heading back inside aiming straight to her room that she occupied at the estate. It was nothing special and she couldn't live in it as she would back home which made her uncomfortable, but it was a roof over her head and away from humans. Guess she couldn't complain. She relaxed in a slightly, too small bed as she stared at the ceiling with the same fueled hate she had for humans, but at the same time she also felt saddened by the current situation. Tomorrow, she couldn't let her instincts get the best of her...

The cat purred happily at the show of affection from the other, rumbling like an old lawnmower even as it remained balled up in the large rocky palm of Orabugg. It was only when the bowl of milk hit the counter did the feline finally stretch out, opening its eyes sleepily before leaning towards the bowl to lap at the sweet liquid. His other hand was busy scrawling out a thank you letter for the milk as the girl switched her attentions to the gentle giant. With the note passed over to Eric he turned to the small girl, the rocks on his face seeming to shift slightly to mimic happiness and excitement. As for her line of questioning he simply nodded before pulling the bag of money Zoru gave him off his shoulder and dropping it on the counter. Reaching in he pulled out a stack of twenties worth about two thousand hand handed it to the girl before sliding the rest towards the bartender. There was only about five thousand there in total, considering he was generously underpaid for being a champion, but he never fought for the money in the first place so he didnt seem to mind all that much. His now free arm reached over the counter, thick digits wrapping around the girls chest as carefully as possible before he picked her up, trying his best not to knock aside any glasses already on the bar or hit her head on the roof, and placed her on his shoulders like his cat. In hindsight it probably wasn't the safest up there but he had no doubts that she would be able to keep up. As soon as the little tabby had finished off the milk, which it did surprisingly fast, it hopped back up his arm and found a resting place in Sams lap, pressing its head into her gut region happily.

With that done he pushed the bowl back over to eric before scrawling out another note and handing it up to sam, along with a pencil and some extra pieces of paper he looted from the bar. 'so du u hav any adventurs u ned sum musckle for?' He had forgotten what if felt like not to be holed up under that brewery, and Zoru did tell him to enjoy himself so he probably wouldn't mind that much if they went dumpster diving or something.

[div class=back] go back [/div][/div] [div class=border][div class=opacitybg][/div] [div class=box] It seemed like his constant drawling had managed to draw her out - if only slightly. She had even gone as far as to reveal herself and swim even closer. Only then had he realized that he hadn't seen a merfolk like her before - fundamentally different in some sense. Interesting. But he pushed those thoughts aside. He could question it later when she wasn't too suspicious of him anymore. He watched her swim closer, up until the water's edge before stopping abruptly and her body seemed to tense up. Klaus tilted his head to the side, wondering if he had done something wrong in the few seconds it had taken her to swim to him.

Oh. It was merely caution. An admirable trait. It would be wise to know who you're playing with before delving headfirst into an interaction. "I'm empty-handed if you don't count the umbrella." He said as he raised his hands for a moment - showing absolutely nothing else. It would be very hard to hide a net inside his clothing after all. He lowered his hands back down when she was satisfied before continuing on with the conversation. "I imagine so. You don't seem to be very fond of humans?" He said but it was far from accusatory. It sounded more curious, if anything. "Or are you simply cautious?"

[div class=back] go back [/div][/div] [div class=border][div class=opacitybg][/div] [div class=box] "Oho, good job." Sam said when Rocky took out a pouch that was filled with wads of cash. There was initial surprise when he had handed her some cash - a big amount really for a normal person - and then looked back at the pile of rock as he pushed the rest to Eric. She was well aware that Rocky wasn't really the type to use any of his money seeing as he didn't need it. He didn't seem to need food or shelter or anything mundane so she supposed that what little money he did use was for the cat. "Not gonna keep any of this?" She couldn't help but ask. She had no personal qualms about taking it but she thought it would be polite to at least ask her friend about it.

The moment he reached forward to wrap his fingers around him, Sam had forced herself to relax. Rocky was friendly. They had done this before. She wasn't in any danger whatsoever. So when he was placed on his shoulder, she quickly adjusted herself so that she wouldn't fall off immediately once Rocky began moving. As funny as that would be, she wasn't looking forward to having bruises just because of that. The cat soon finished and placed itself on top of her lap and she began stroking its head as it curled up against her. Seriously, this cat was too cute. The more she saw of these two, the more she suspected but there really wasn't any problem if they were connected right?

She picked up the note that was handed to her. "Ugh, I wish big guy but I don't have anything to do." She said, complaining dramatically as she had done earlier. "But! There's this one demolition site I walked by earlier. Pretty sure I can get us some permission to help out if you know what I mean." She snickered. As much as she loved Rocky, she wasn't exactly going to lead him straight to the GTI. Besides, there was some fun in earning money through more legal matters. And they would be given permission to destroy a building and how fun would that be when you have a rock giant with you to do it! And maybe they can get a couple of other things there but she would never say that out loud.

She smiled and swam closer though then stop. That was as far as she could go before the water got to shallow.

"I imagine so. You don't seem to be very fond of humans?" "Or are you simply cautious?"

"Cautious my parents were captured once but died because they were taken out of the water. A part of our body always has to be in water to stay alive. I guess they didn't know that but it was still scary because they captured my parents in nets and weren't very nice. But I've always been curious about humans and the other creatures that live on land and I've always kind of wanted to go on land myself.... So I tend to come and watch and you don't all seem bad." She smiled brightly seeming a lot more relaxed then before. She seemed quite happy to be talking to someone. "My name's Odette by the way."

[div class=back] go back [/div][/div] [div class=border][div class=opacitybg][/div] [div class=box] Klaus offered her a small smile when she had swam closer. Perhaps she wasn't too cautious after all but no one would harm her here. Or rather, it would he hard for anyone to harm her here. With the R.I.C.T. still being around, he imagined that she was relatively safer. But you can never be too careful, he imagined. He slowly nodded in understanding as she explained her circumstances. He imagined it would have been hard for her to lose her parents just like that. "I see. I'm sorry for what they had done." He offered his sympathy. His parents had passed normally so he didn't know how it felt like to lose them all of a sudden.

"I see. Well, I understand your caution and I agree that you shouldn't approach people so suddenly. Trust is a hard thing to earn." Klaus commented grimly. Nowadays with multiple mercenaries being roaming around, it was hard to give anyone one's trust. "And my name is Klaus. Nice to meet you." He adjusted his position so that he was more comfortable in sitting on the sand and he turned his head towards her. "So, did you want to ask me something? You said you were curious of us land dwellers."

- September 3rd, 2042 -

  • The day started out as any other Wednesday had for the last decade. She woke up early, made herself breakfast, and started the walk to her job as a psychiatrist. She had come through the Rift nearly twenty years ago and, like many fae, had taken it very hard. However, she helped in the form of a recommendation to see a therapist. Doing so helped Kassidy to process and accept the new world she found herself in, and also instilled in her a deep respect for the profession. As a result, once she had gotten herself situated, Kassidy applied to the University in order to become certified to practice psychiatry herself.

Upon graduation she reached out to the therapist that had initially helped her and with their help found a job. She soon began to demonstrate success in her role, with her innate empathetic abilities proving to be of immense aid in understanding what her patients were feeling and in getting them to open up. Now it was a decade later, and she had since opened up her own practice, one that proved to be quite popular.

However, it was here that her day took a decided turn, as she turned the corner onto a massive protest going on in the square. It only took a second of scanning the crowd to see that this was a Reclaimer protest, the countless skull and knife symbols adorning clothes and signs making that abundantly clear. Kassidy was about to retreat, as being a fae near Reclaimers was not exactly safe, when she saw several RICT vehicles skid to a stop and several officers disembark. Seeing them, Kassidy decided, against her better judgement, to stay and watch them break up the protest, joining a crowd of other nonhumans arrayed opposite the Reclaimers. Perhaps it was the overwhelming anger radiating off of the Reclaimers that made her do this, perhaps the anger was entirely her own. Either way, the result was the same.

One of the officers shot a red flair into the sky, signalling many others to lob what she initially thought were tear gas grenades which billowed out a hazy grey gas. However, she soon knew that something was catastrophically wrong when she breathed it in.

It burned, not just in her throat and lungs, but in her head too. It felt like her head was trying to rip itself apart as she choked on her own breath. The burning began to spread, creeping across her body in a way that made her want to tear at her skin to escape it. But she couldn't, her strength was rapidly leaving her. Soon she couldn't even stand up and slumped to the ground, her coughing growing ever weaker and her vision beginning to fade and blur. The last thing she saw before her eyes closed for the last time was a slender man in a white coat and a gas mask walking towards her.

In the end Kassidy had been in the wrong place at the wrong time, merely one of many unfortunate victims of fate.

Chiesler 420
-The Sins of Humanity, The Fear of Non-Humanity-

Chiesler could not believe what she had witnessed. She was only there to disperse the riots, not watching hell break loose. Many protesters were killed by that gas attack, horrifying the Arcane Doll by the sheer number of corpses laid in front of her and her fellow officers. "This...This is a terrorist work that we've done." Chiesler thought "We're officers, law enforcers, the fucking police. We're only here to disrupt the riot without causing bloodshed, but why? Why do we need to take out lives to end it? What the hell are my superiors thinking?"

She clenches her fists very tight out of anger. This new weapon should be tested within facility, not out in the public. Also, why sacrificing unwilling lives? Chiesler wouldn't think twice about killing unless she has to. She walks over to the sea of corpses, young and old, human or not. The sight of it disgusts her to the point that she needs a smoke to relax her senses. She walks away from the site, removing her gas mask once she is out of the gassed area. She leans back against a building as she pulls out a box of cigarettes and takes one of them in her mouth before putting the box back in her pocket and pull out a lighter to light up the cigarette and starts smoking.

"Good thing Charlotte is in school. If she were to see this, she couldn't last a second at the sight of those dead bodies." Chiesler thought "But I wonder how she is performing. She's been practicing her magic day and night. She may be young, but she has a lot of untapped potential."

Charlotte Salem Pezzini
-At school doing regular school stuff but with magic-

If there is a campus that is the most high quality, then there exists an elite school somewhere in Downtown where only the children of R.I.C.T. personnel are only allowed. Although, this school does not force you to be enlisted into the R.I.C.T. upon graduation. This is Hope's Peak Academia, the most elite school of Edgewater that offers world-class education with the greatest minds acting as staffs. This is the school Charlotte is currently attending.

Charlotte arrived rather late. She took a lot of time preparing herself and because Chiesler left very early to work, she was forced to use her broom to take herself there. She rushes inside, running through the halls until she reaches her classroom, where class was about to start. Mathematics was the first subject and the teacher handling it is a male fae. "Oh! Miss Pezzini, you arrived just in time. I hope you did not ran yourself into a hall monitor when you got here." He says with a smile. Charlotte pants as she reply "I'm sorry, sir. Its just that my guardian had to leave very early, so I was left with no choice but to use my broom."

"Oh that's okay." The teacher assures "Just take your seat so we can formally start." Charlotte nodded before going for her seat and the class starts.

Very few souls stood alongside Solomon as the radio quietly stared them back over the surface of such an small table. The silence continued for a long time, restless as the Reclaimers had the direct order not to signal back until the demonstration was finally over. The dark room was simply hard to distinguish except by the very center. Its borders and the walls much alike the rift impossible to find, or the door that lead them outside. Joseph's surveillance devices allowed to see the work being done - but they still had to hear confirmation that all Reclaimers managed to retreat to safety.

Most of them as anxious for an answers as it would be expected, laying forward to be the first to hear the voice coming out of the radio. A woman wasn't even able to sit down, both hands grasping the back of the chair, tapping the floor with her foot. Solomon, on the other hand, seemed assure about what was going to happen, having blind confidence on his own son's resolution and capabilities. The woman quiet aware of the man's confidence, spoke, "Sir, the operation will proceed as planned. Your son-" Solomon nodded and smiled, raising his off-hand which was not busy alike the other that held a glass of wine, "I am sure he prepared every detail and planned every step. I wouldn't expect less than his success." he raised his glass over in the air cheering as he sipped, the woman grinned and responded, raising both of her eyebrows, "Do not be offended, sir but- Don't you think it is a bit too early to celebrate?" he then checked once more the glass, confused and disorientated, moved his tongue over his lips trying to catch the flavor, "Curious. It was water the moment I poured it."

Then the radio turned on quickly, the red bubble shined strongly and the words swayed their hearts. "Operation Bythine is a success. All members returned home." - the voice came over and the celebrations began within the war room, the military leaders shaking each other's hands, "I repeat. Operation Bythine is a success. Back to radio silence."

However Solomon did not move from his dark corner, holding the glass of wine while his followers continued to congratulate themselves with such a victory. When the time of euphoria began to fade, they all detected his frowned gesture as he approached back to the light. "Sir - we have done it. We deliver a decisive strike to the infidels." Solomon gave the glass of wine to the man that spoke up and nodded in agreement, then beckoned him to sip and cheer in silence, "Here-" then the man began to share the glass with the rest, everyone drinking from the same wine.

"Every time we strike, our lord grant us all relief in the battlefield. But we all lose ourselves in fair trade..." Solomon stated carefully, measuring his words, "Forget not, wroth is a sin. An every time we use it to fight evil, parts of our soul are chipped away. Every day we are a bit less human. Do not forget that child." he grasped the matters of his robe, stroking it like fresh grass until reaching the wooden cross on his neck, "None of us will find much joy while we are here. But we can keep others from harms way." they looked confused among them, "I am a Father. And as father, I failed. For I taught my son only war and misery, I hardened his heart like a stone for the devil would use it against us. I taught him to fear not death, nor to bring dead upon others. But-" he let go of his cross and took a heavy breath, "But I never taught him to live- to praise life. He never managed to see the great sea, the horizon, beyond nor traveled." he sat down, folding both of his hands together before the table, holding now the cross within as if he prepared for praying day, "I sacrificed my soul and his so once our fight is over... once the rift and the fog has fallen for it *will* fall. Once every spawn of darkness had been removed. Our grandchildren - if our lords allows it, will live without fear - for their ancestors fought fiercely against a common enemy."

They all bowed and retreated from the room. The speech served, they had now only to report back to their squads. But Solomon saw something more- for he stayed there moments after they left... He watched carefully the surveillance, his son... and...

the blacksmith
location: docks Interaction: N/A
Progress came with sacrifice and the smith knew that well, its previous subjects had always never lasted long there minds melting under the pressure of the augmentation it graphed to them, the hulking armoured suit looked down at the person still on that runic table, the inscription hand been finished by not matter what the smith tried it could not stur the human. It was a failure then, it hadn’t even gotten to test any of them. Disappointing indeed, over the course of the next hour it began removing the augments, the protests the gas experiment passed the sentient armour by and it took little heed to what happened outside of its own work. With the metallic limbs places safely away all that was left on the table was the mangled corpse of a person the organs still rather intact just hanging out of there body due to lack of a side the smith turned back to the table blue smoke rising form its joint and crevasses stopped for a moment as if it where holding its breath. Before exhaling a large cloud of the smoke that surrounded the corpse a soft bubble sound could be heard, the smoke soon dissipated into nothingness, all that was left was a thick red soup running down the table and into channels cut in the floor flowing to god know where, while the smith left the comforter of his factory to search for more subjects willing or otherwise.
