Sawyer
925dccf6-8cde-411c-8e83-ba3b6dff6eb5.gif
After the burning heap of disaster that was Monday Sawyer had been happy to return home. She'd left a little early, flaking out in her last period class and beating her dad home. Oliver obviously hadn't been too happy about that at first but when Sawyer explained to him in detail everything that had happened he'd been rather receptive. Sawyer's father had even offered to give her advice on how to handle the situation. The older man knew how she was with things like this, he'd been the same, and he knew her anger was the emotion that controlled most everything she did. So, his advice had been to try and focus on some other emotion. It had honestly been pretty good advice and that's what she was doing right now as she sat on the bus waiting for Grace.

Sawyer had been nervous that Grace wouldn't want to come at all after yesterday, but a confirming text had eased her worry. She shifted in the uncomfortable bus seat and groaned, giving up when she couldn't quite get comfortable. She leaned her head back against the seat and closed her eyes. Maybe she shouldn't have come on this trip herself. Sawyer wasn't particularly interested in college, unless she managed to get a scholarship for hockey or basketball that is, but otherwise she didn't think she would go. Besides, she could always just work construction with her dad if she ended up degreeless. Sawyer tried to imagine what it would be like staying in this forsaken town for the rest of her life and found that she didn't care too much. She'd rather stay in one place than be rootless again. Sawyer's thoughts were interrupted by Ryder's voice calling put to her.

When her eyes opened they caught sight of a bag hurling toward her. With reflexes she could attribute to years of sports, Sawyer was able to reach up and catch the bag before it smacked her in the face. Upon inspection she found that a bag of cookies was the projectile that had been tossed at her. Sawyer chuckled and glanced behind her as Ryder settled in next to Ash. "Uh, thanks, dude." Cookies were always a good thing to her. She supposed this was his way of thanking her for Lexi yesterday and she whole heartedly approved of this method. She'd have to do more things for Ryder if he was going to give her cookies everytime. A few seconds into eating her first cookie later, Grave made her appearance on the bus. Sawyer perked up and smiled wide as Grace sat down next to her, attempting to try and brighten her mood a little. When Grace layed her head against Sawyer's shoulder she sighed and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. Sawyer's fingers drew comforting circles on Grace's arm and she leaned over to kiss her head.

"Good morning, lovely." Sawyer used her other hand to bring her bag of cookies around to Grace's lap, "You want a cookie? Ryder gave them to me, pretty good if I do say so myself."

Neck Tie

8NzR33l.gif

Neck Tie slumped down into the seat next to Jace and immediately stole one of his earbuds. He wasn’t at all surprised to hear the song being played: Hanging by the Moment by Lifehouse. ‘You still listening to this?’ Neck Tie asked. Knowing his best friend, Jace was probably deciphering the chord progression in his head and had the whole song memorised, like the musical genius that he was. No matter, it was still a good tune even if they'd heard it ten times, and Neck Tie wasn’t going to second guess Jace’s musical choice because, in his opinion, Jace was basically Mozart (if Mozart wore a beanie instead of a wig). If Jace said the music was good, then the music was good.

Before slipping his backpack under the seat in front of him, Neck Tie delved into his lunch box and produced a package of M&Ms in his usual fashion. He held his best friend’s hands out and made it rain M&M, until a tall mound of chocolatey pellets had formed in them.

Soon Neck Tie was fidgeting in his seat, looking backwards and forwards trying to see if he recognised anybody else on the bus. He caught a glimpse of Drake and June; he was probably going to have to catch up with them later. For now, he wondered if Casper was coming along with them. There was no sign yet of Nova. As long as she didn’t show up, Neck Tie wouldn’t have to give up his seat. . . which in a pretty selfish way meant he would be able to continue listening to the music on Jace’s phone. But if she did show up, that was all good too. Nova was an amazing girl and lots of fun to be around.

Neck Tie was obviously very hyped to be going on this trip. The fact that he’d been to Westbrook University twice before with his dad didn’t detract from his excitement. He just enjoyed bus trips in general, and bus trips were even better in the company of your best friend. He slipped an M&M into his mouth and started wondering when the bus was going to take off.

Bryan
RareAshamedCrane-size_restricted.gif
Bryan didn't want to be here. There was absolutely no reason for him to go college touring. Once he graduated he was going straight into his father's company and, if his father saw him fit, eventually taking it over. So, he was rather angered that his parents were forcing him to go on this tour, with people who hated his guts no less. Of course, Bryan had no quarrels against them hating him. He knew that they had good reason too, but that didn't mean he wanted to be around them. Bryan sat slumped in his seat, glaring out of the window lost in his own firestorm of angry thoughts. This better be over quickly or he was going to end up in a situation he didn't need to be in.

The feeling of someone sitting down next to him startled Bryan put of his fume. When he turned to look who the hell had enough balls to sit down next to him any words of malice died on his tongue. It was a blonde girl he didn't recognize, but for some reason he found himself unable to snap at her. She glanced at him and asked if he was the one that had started the pregnancy rumor. Bryan rolled his eyes and slumped even further into the seat, drawing his limbs in closer to himself.

"Yes. I am." He muttered, "Are you here to punch me too? Because I've already gotten my come up its or whatever."

Rowan
rotallk.gif

It hadn't been her idea to go to this stupid field trip. Rowan was annoyed, chewing agitatedly on a piece of gum as she approached one of the buses with disdain. She couldn't have just skipped that day? Who would have noticed her absence? Ro easily assumed the answer to be no one but realized that her 'brother' was also going on the trip, and he would certainly mention something to Mary and Kaiser; she refused to call them mom and dad. Rowan gave a slight sniff and pulled her braids to one side as she entered the bus, her backpack just slightly heavier than usual. Well, if she was going to go on this lame field trip, at least she planned on making the most out of it.

Some people waved, eager to get her attention and be on her good side in hopes that she would sit beside them and maybe run a deal since she was back. She disliked them the most, so she charged them the most, too. Ro merely offered them a tilt of her head as she continued to look for a spot that wouldn't have someone trying to pry open her shell just to take what they wanted. Eventually, she spotted a girl - unfamiliar to her - sitting rather solitarily. Amber eyes narrowed slightly, but she didn't bother to take too much longer to pick a seat.

She sat beside the dark-haired girl and rolled her head over to look at her for a moment before looking to the people around them. Familiar faces, mostly, but none she really wanted to talk to. The usual. "It's okay if I sit here, hm?" She asked the girl. Rowan may dislike plenty and have an attitude, but she wasn't going to make this girl uncomfortable the entire ride to Westbrook University by sitting next to her when she didn't want. In that sense, the caramel-skinned girl wasn't a complete fuck-up of a human, though she didn't quite think that about herself.

Casper & Aaron Ollila

After lunch, the rest of the day had been pretty uneventful for Casper. He didn’t even know what Aaron had done for most of it, given how rarely he checked Twitter. All in all, he had felt like he was floating on a cloud- He had made friends! How cool was that?

And then he had checked Twitter. Not going to lie, he was less than thrilled with his brother. What he had done hadn’t been very nice, and as silly and possibly childish as it might seem, that was how Casper judged others actions- niceness. It was perhaps the single most important thing to Casper, even before avoiding conflict. The fact that his brother, who Casper liked to think was a nice enough person, had done something that didn’t just stir conflict, but was markedly unnice, was not something Casper liked. At all.

Of course, one could not blame Aaron for not picking up on his brother’s displeasure- It was hard to notice that Casper was quieter than usual as the pair boarded the bus, Aaron on a muttered tirade about how the Sun hadn’t even been awake when the pair had woken up and begun getting ready for school, and was still not up as he boarded the bus.

Casper was among the bunch that didn’t want to be on this trip, though not because he had better prospects or he didn’t want to go to college. He simply thought the idea of him getting into college was unrealistic. He just wasn’t smart enough. It was something the twins didn’t talk about, one of those things Casper had learned to avoid entirely if he didn’t want to deal with Aaron giving him the cold shoulder for the rest of the day.

In fact, the only reason Casper was even here was because Aaron had said he wouldn’t go unless Casper went, and Casper, again, was not a fan of conflict. So he had agreed to go, though he kind of wished he hadn’t.

He looked around stealthily to see if he could see Neck Tie, hopeful. When he saw him sitting with Jace, the seats behind the pair empty, he lit up, waving and quickly dragging Aaron into the seats behind the pair.

Predictably, Aaron didn’t like this. For a moment, he was resistant. “What-” And then he saw what Casper was dragging him towards, and a flare of jealousy ripped through him. He frowned. Those must have been the new friends. He was quiet as he slid in, which, for Aaron, was unusual, immediately looking out the window, pointedly ignoring the pair in front of them as he crossed his arms.

Casper glanced at him, smile faltering a bit before turning back to Neck Tie, asking in their usual whisper, “Are you excited?”

Rae
3e48563c9f1ae19dc9f772f30f468aa3.gif

She met up with Phoenix outside of school before climbing onto the bus, she knew that Chase was going to be there, and was a little concerned about Phoenix finally meeting him. Really hoping he wouldn't bring up the goats again... "So why are you coming? You know you're going to get into that school in Dublin". Pulling her hood up over her head, it was way colder in Maine than she was used to.

She still hadn't really woken up and would have much rather been in bed than going on this trip. She felt like the trip to the school was pointless, she would much rather go back to North Carolina for school, be back with Aurora. However she couldn't see herself leaving her dad anytime soon. He was having a hard time, he might of said the move was for a new job, but she was sure it was because he couldn't stand to live in the house that he had bought with their mom any longer without her.

All of those thoughts melted away when she saw Chase's smile, him sitting at the back of the bus and greeting her his presence alone put her in a better mood. A smile creeping across her lips. "Good morning" She bit her lip trying to keep herself from smiling even bigger. She completely forgot about Phoenix for a moment taking the seat next to Chase without a second thought. "Oh... Phoenix, this is Chase.." She said looking up at Phoenix's, and then over into Chase's eyes.

Carter

While everyone was taking the trip to Westbrook's hometown college. Carter had situated herself in the library, she had visited last year, and thought it was the most pointless trip. This year she decided to stay back and just keep catching up on homework she had fallen behind on. Luckily for her, since most of the juniors were on the trip, her teachers had canceled class, taking a personal day.

She turned her volume up all the way to drown out her thoughts, sticking herself into the corner of the library with the comfy seats, pulling out her laptop and typing up a paper for history. She was supposed to be in a group for the project but had some how convinced her teacher that she didn't need to work with anyone. She didn't like to rely on others anyways.

He might have over dressed just a bit, but first impressions mattered right? 'god should of listened to Rae' He thought as he climbed on the bus, seeing everyone was dressed like a normal school day. He didn't really know where he wanted to go, he probably just end up at whatever school scouted him for basketball. He looked around for a seat, easily with his height he was able to see Ryder and Ash quickly giving them a wave, before he caught Scars eye, and made his way over to her and the empty seat beside her.

Scarlet
scarsayhi.gif

College day? She'd seen a university before - her home, growing up, had been less than a mile away from the University of Chicago. Scarlet began to wonder how similar Westbrook University would be. Was it going to be as huge? If she wanted to go there for her degree, Scar wasn't quite sure how she would feel about staying in Westbrook. So far, her opinion of the place was... strange. She had been taken through the modicum of emotions since she had been there; confusion, anxiety, joy, embarrassment... The girl decided to stop thinking so much. If she could get an award in anything, it would definitely be worrying.

She made her way on the bus, eyes scanning for a familiar head of golden hair with a pretty smile, but eventually was forced to opt for a seat behind a different familiar face. The girl who had been dragged from the cafe the day before was talking to someone she didn't know. Accidentally eavesdropping, Scarlet tilted her head to the side at the mention burnt baking. The assumedly violent girl was trying to back 'thank you' cookies? The chestnut-haired girl would have never been able to guess. But she loved baking, with an extreme talent for cakes and pies, thanks to her grandmother.

"Um--" She piped up from behind the, too, but she was shy and paused in hesitance. It was rude to listen in on other people's conversations. "Sorry, I didn't mean to overhear or interrupt, but if you ever need help or want some recipes, I can totally help you." The fact that she was offering baking help to a girl that she wasn't sure would punch her instead of thank her was shocking for even Scar, but she needed to at least try. "I'm Scarlet, by the way." Scar offered a sweet smile, hands folded in her lap.

She looked over just in time to see Mads take a seat next to her and her smile deepened. He looked really nice. "Mads, hey. I like the get-up." Scarlet wasn't necessarily teasing him; she actually thought he looked extremely handsome. Her hands suddenly felt clammy, but decided to ignore it in hopes that she would calm down soon. Whenever the tall boy was near her, she couldn't seem to keep herself under control. Scarlet supposed it made sense - who wouldn't get nervous around someone that looked like him.

June
She knew she was going to a community college at this point. Her family had put away enough so she could go to two years and she decided the cheapest option was community. But perhaps she could go to a university if she didn’t worry about drama and worried more about scholarships. It was a nice though that they could leave school for a day to go on this trip. Anything was better then seeing Mason and Adriane again in the halls.

And she was more than happy to sit next to Alaska. “Thanks, I’ll probably eat them later.” She said thinking it was unbelievably kind for her to cook cookies for her of all people. She needs to do something for her too. Maybe take her pictures for something. She looked up at Drake and found her eyes looking away. Did he know that she kissed Raven? She didn’t want to know, but he seemed kind. So June nodded. “Yeah I’m excited. I’m curious about what cameras they have and the campus itself.” She said with shrug. Then she saw a kid come up to them. She was more than willing to let him sit with them. She needed more friends after all.

Amelia was smart and she knew that was it. Her and her brain against the world. Therefore she had to snatch at anything she could get her fingertips around. That includes going to a University for a day trip in order to find out scholarships opportunities. Yes, she was a sophomore. She had two years to hash out college, but there’s no way she was going to wait that long. She needed to start now so she could have more money in the end.

She had already done what she was going to miss today. She made her way on the bus and her phone was open to twitter. She normally did this when she knew she looked alone. Open her phone like she was talking to someone when she was just staring at her screen. She sat behind these two girls, one she didn’t recognize. But, she didn’t really try to talk to them. She was content on sitting by herself.

He lightly laughed. "Yea.. I think I over dressed just a bit. But first impressions count right?" He smiled, trying to make sense of the grey dress jacket. He had just sat down next to Scar when she was talking about her baking skill. "So when do I get to try your baking" Smirking nudging her with his shoulder. "I want final say on how good it is."

Grace

Grace sighed in Sawyer’s arms, closing her eyes.
“Not a ‘good’ morning.” She muttered. Everything with the rumor is tough to deal with. But forget about that. Doing that whole.. not caring about it thing today. Yeah. Let’s go with that. Opening her eyes when she’d felt something in her lap. Ryder made the cookies? Grace usually wasn’t one to judge, but he didn’t exactly seem like the cooking type.

She picked up the back and inspected the contents inside of it and raised an eyebrow in her girlfriend’s direction, taking out a cookie and holding it in between them. Lowering her voice afraid to hurt Ryder’s feelings incase he might’ve overheard. “Pretty good? Sawyer, they’re..burnt.” She let out a genuine laugh that she tried to hide in Sawyer’s shoulder. It was sweet of him to try though. Grace believed you should always try new things, maybe being a baker isn’t Ryder’s but that’s okay.

When she glanced around she noticed Ryder looking in their direction, taking half of the cookie and taking the a small bite. Grace gave a smile and a thumbs up, both fading away the moment he turned around. It wasn’t that bad, but she disagreed with Sawyer when she’d said it was pretty good. “Maybe we’ll bake better cookies together.” Putting a finger to her lips to keep it secret.

River
rivcutiepie.gif

River didn't mind going to College Day. He had see Westbrook University before; his father was a professor for Holistic Health on the campus, so he'd been able to explore at his leisure. Rowan, his sister, had shown less interest. Actually, she had shown negative interest, if he had to be honest. He had filed in behind her, though neither of them spoke to each other. At least they had a mutual understanding for each other. Whether that was enough for a family was debatable, but at least they didn't fight.

He greeted a few of his guy friends with fist bumps and a few greetings. Most of the seats were already full, except for a scarce few. Spotting a girl on her phone, he assumed it was a good opportunity to sit with someone that seemed around his same age. Besides, he enjoyed trying to make friends, always ignoring any signs showing that maybe they didn't want to be friends with him. Reciprocity was something he had yet to learn. Taking a seat beside her, River peered over her and down at her phone - being nosey. "Name's River, nice to meet you. Anything interesting on the Twitter-sphere?"

Sawyer gasped when Grace told her Ryder's cookies were burnt, her free hand pressed against her chest dramatically. Honestly, they were slightly burnt but Sawyer wasn't picky and they didn't particularly taste burnt so she'd eat them. Cookies were cookies. No matter the skill of the baker. The point was that he tried and it was the thought that counted. Sawyer bit in to her cookie again with a grin as Grace tried to play it off like she liked then when Ryder looked their direction.

"Well, they maybe a little bit." Sawyer eyed her cookie and chuckled, "I'm not surprised honestly, Ryder doesn't particularly strike me as a baker." Her grin grew into a smile when Grace told her they could make better cookies. Sawuer wasn't necessarily a baker by any means either but she could probably muster up a decent cookie. She leaned her head back on the seat again and plucked up Grace's hand holding it in front of her face to trace the lines of her palm as she spoke.

"Okay, but what kind of cookies?" She questioned, finger trailing to the bottom of Grace's hand and back up again, "Because if we make anything other than chocolate chip or white chocolate I refuse to participate." Sawyer ended her sentence with a tap of her finger against the middle of Grace's palm and slipping her fingers through Grace's.

"I'm allergic to peanuts so no peanut butter anything. Keep it away." That was a lie. She wasn't allergic, she just didn't like them. Sawyer had been telling people since she was five that she was allergic so she could avoid having to eat them. That was how she managed to always snag the fruit snacks in Kindergarten and pawn them off to the other kids for their deserts. A certified business woman five year old Sawyer was.

Maisie

Maisie watched as the girl with the braids had come onto the bus, quickly looking back towards the window before her eyes landed on her as she scanned the rows. She was surprised when the girl decided to sit down next to her, but Maisie wasn’t complaining, she hated being alone. It didn’t matter who the company was, it just distracted her from diving too deep in her thoughts.

She took a double take in her direction when the girl spoke, unsure if she was actually talking to her or not. Of course she’s talking to you, she isn’t sitting with anyone else. “Oh.” Was all Maisie said for a few seconds before she realized she wasn’t forming actual words. “No it’s- i mean- ...yes, it’s okay you can sit here.”

Maybe she was kind of intimidating. Maybe. She wouldn’t admit it if asked. “Maze, er.. Maisie.” She introduced herself and almost face-palmed at the fact that she probably sounded like a kindergartner trying to make friends. “Whatever you prefer really..” how about you stop talking? Yeah? Yeah. Okay. Maisie looked back towards the window and lifted her hand up to her ear fiddling with the cat earring she hated and loved so much.

Charolette had drove up to her parking spot and walked into school. She had put all of her things in her locker. She didn't hear that much from Carter yesterday. She had invited her over to her house to talk and catch up. But she didn't hear anything after that from Carter. It kinda saddened her a little that she couldn't of talked to her. She was mindlessly walking around when she noticed Carter walk into the library. She had followed her, and even sat beside her. "Cart, darling, if you're going to avoid me then please let me know. Now what's going on? You're getting wrinkles on your forehead. It isn't that appealing to the men here." She said with a light jest. She loved her cousin and hated to see her so sad. Her phone had went off. It was her mother saying that she was going to be coming home that weekend. "Looks like mummsie is gonna be coming home this weekend, if you wanna come over." She said a little happy. She hadn't spent a lot of time with her but still, she was her mother so she loved her even if she was a bit mean to Charolette.

Amber eyes watched the girl next to her with an analyzing sheen. She was new, for sure; green as grass. But she was...nice and unfamiliar and didn't know exactly who Rowan was - at least, not yet. That much, she knew she liked about the new face already. Ro smiled slightly and nodded, placing her bag at her feet and leaning back into the uncomfortable plastic of the small bus seat they would be sharing for the ride.

She paid no mind to the girl's stutters. It was understandable to be nervous around a stranger. "Thanks, Maze." The girl pushed a stray braid from her face and crossed her legs. "I'm Rowan. Ro, if you feel like it." Rowan gave a slight shrug and then watched her new acquaintance play with her earrings from the corner of her eye. Pretty hair, she thought absently.

"I like your earrings," Ro said, though not turned to actually look at Maisie when she spoke. Socially, Rowan was good at talking to people who wanted something from her, but when it came down to conversing with people she didn't really know, it was either stay silent or be completely nonchalant. But piercings were fun and she loved jewelry; hence the earrings, septum piercing, mass of gold bangles, and other sorts of accessories she was almost constantly clad in.

“Rowan.” Maisie acknowledged her name, repeating it as she introduced herself. Giving a small nod, turning her head towards her when she mentioned the earrings, glad enough that Rowan wasn’t facing her. Maisie’s cheeks reddened. She was almost positive they were made for children, and sure that Rowan was just being polite. “Oh. Thanks.. Cats are kinda my thing.” That sounded very dumb, but it wasn’t a lie. It was clear she was an animal person, almost obvious she was a cat one.

Maisie bit her lip, should she compliment her back? Is that a thing people do? It is. Yeah. She noticed her piercings and decided to comment on that. “I like your.. everything.” Although, it didn’t come out like she wanted it to. Well.. can’t say Maisie didn’t try.

She didn’t realize how weird it sounded until at least 5 seconds later. Turning her head away from her, that whole thing wasn’t helping her with the blush on her cheeks either, sliently praying Rowan wouldn’t notice. And contemplating if she’d live if she jumped out of the bus window. Unwilling to embarrass herself further.

Much to Lillie's surprise, she was forced to go on the tour of the college by her father, who had sternly stated she was to get a glimpse at the college. Even though she didn't need to think of college at freshman year, Lillie herself needed to. After her crappy birthday that was on Monday, she had went straight home and locked herself in her room. Monday was crappy, but the look on Jude's face was just so.. satisfying. It may have satisfied her, but she was still lonely.

It was Tuesday morning, and she had taken a cool shower in her large, spa-like restroom and had changed into something comfortable. She wore a plain white shirt with an oversized, buttoned, and blue sweater. She wore black jeans and blue heels along with a black leather bag draped across her shoulder. Her thick black hair was stylized into a curly hairstyle. She wore expensive silver jewelry, and placed on her eye-contacts. She really didn't like wearing her large, thick framed glasses.

She ate breakfast consisting of fluffy pancakes with berries and freshly squeezed orange juice. She had also consumed some eggs and a side dish of some other fruits consisting of bananas, raspberries, and blueberries. Lillie loved fruits--especially berries and bananas. She loved fluffy pancakes and cream, they were just simply delicious and it filled her up quickly.

Currently drinking an iced coffee with sugar, caramel, and whipped cream, she flipped her hair and silently walked over to the bright yellow buses parked in front of the school. The gleaming sun shined on the bright buses--making them glow like fireflies at night. Taking a sip from the iced coffee that provided a burst of cold sweetness in her mouth, she stirred the straw in the large cup and she slowly started to walk inside the bus, her shoes tapping the ground softly. Making her way inside the bus, she squeezed herself through. "Pardon me..." she kept stating, trying to walk all the way the end of the bus.

She found an empty seat and sighed in relief. Sitting down on the comfortable leather seats right next to the window on the left side, she took another sip of her coffee, looking out the thick glass. Staring at the boys, she pursed her lips. None of them were attractive at all. Defeated and sure she'd stay single for the rest of her life, she stirred the coffee with her straw. She didn't exactly know what to do. She knew she'd get into college, but the thing is, she really didn't want to take over her father's company. She wanted to be a doctor. To save lives. To be a useful person instead of a pathetic person who created entertainment.

Praying to god that some ugly nerd won't sit next to her but instead a hunkalicious dude, she placed in her earbuds and silently listened to her music that echoed in her ears. It drowned out the sound of the teenagers on the bus, and she was grateful for it.

“Because I gotta make sure you get a good education while I’m off in Dublin.” Phoenix smiles and gave her hand a squeeze as he settled down in the seat besides her, his baby blue eyes shimmered a little in the early light on the packed bus. I mean he also wanted to just go check out some hotties at the local college campus, maybe sneak a few numbers, and hope he soundly run into a few one night stands he had met there. When Chase got on the bus, Phoenix gave him a good long look up and down then lead over to Rae, “We’re gonna have to share him, just look at those eyes.” Phoenix grinned wickedly as he whispered in her ear. “So Chase...” He tried to make his face serious but his blue eyes boiled over with mischief, “We need to discuss Rae’s dowry, you owe me some goats for this lovely ladies hand in marriage. It’s tradition.” He was bursting at the seams trying to contain his laughter, all while maintaining his serious face as he held onto Rae’s hand.

She flinched a little as someone sat next to her, scooting over to make room. But immediately wanted nothing to do with him. “Maybe if you keep your sphere out of mine, I would know.” She said. His name is River huh? Maybe she’s heard of him, was he the one who broke his leg? She glanced down at his legs quickly then looked back at her phone. No, wait that was Mason. Then maybe he’s the guy who punches a lot of people. But his knuckles aren’t bloody or bruised. Who was this guy and why did he have to sit next to her of all places. “Did you get lost or something? You know this is a college trip right?” She was quick to somehow insult people, but for some reason she didn’t know why this time.

Grace tried to hold back a smile at Sawyer, narrowing her eyes and sighing in fake disappointment. When she’d told her nothing but chocolate. Surprised when she mentioned she was allergic to peanut butter. “You’re kidding.” She shook her head. “So you’ve never eaten reeses.. Like ever?” Grace fortunately never had a problem with allergies, just one of those lucky people she guesses. Although you never know. “That’s kinda—“ Grace’s eyes widened. And released her hand, realizing something that was dire to tell Sawyer. “Stay ways away.” Grace warned.

Remembering the sandwich she’d made hours before. “I ate peanut butter for breakfast.” Grace wasn’t ready to murder her girlfriend via food.

Ryan had taken a seat towards the back of the bus. His mother had urged him to go to the college day. Ryan didn't really care. It gave him a reason miss class. Besides college girls weren't bad to look at. He loved Hajar but what was the problem with atleast looking. Other then Hajar, most of the girls at Ryan's school were into each other so they wouldn't even give him the time of day. As he sat at the back of the bus and watched everyone gather on, Ryan had sighed. People had given him dirty looks so he scoweled at them. The hell was going on with everyone. He knew he was a punk, but still he wasn't one of those people that did anything bad to anyone at the school.... Recently. "The hell?" He asked.

Neck Tie

Neck Tie was nearly dying of anticipation waiting for the bus to fill up, when his eyes suddenly lit up at the sight of his new friend, Casper, squeezing down the aisle and taking a seat behind him. He climbed round and hugged the headrest, resting his chin on the cushion and greeted his friend.

Now he was smiling at the kid who probably was wanting to be left alone. ‘Wait, are you Casper’s brother? Hey, you’re in my class, aren’t you?’ The two had never really talked before. Then Casper asked if he was excited, but he could probably tell just by looking at Neck Tie. ‘You’re really going to like the university, Casper. My Dad teaches there and he said he’ll be meeting us. The campus is huge and some of the classrooms have all these fancy chairs and whiteboards!’

Neck Tie had somehow mismanaged the rationing of the M&M’s. He wasn’t sure Casper was showing up with Aaron, and he had given more than half of the M&M’s to Jace, and now there was only a little left to share with the two behind him. He scrunched up the open top of the bag and passed it to Casper and Aaron. ‘You can keep it, we’ve got plenty up front!’

He smiled and then settled back down facing the front as his neck began to hurt from all the craning he did. The earbud had fallen off his ear so he picked it up from Jace’s lap and reinserted it snugly, making sure it stayed this time. They continued nodding to the rhythm of Lifehouse and watching the last of the students rushing on board and the driver take his seat with a steaming paper coffee cup in his hand.

Jace

"Oh, uh, yeah." Stu wasn't wrong about why Jace was listening to it. He tended to get into a mood where he'd only listen to one band on repeat, and then try to learn his favorite songs by them until he got bored and moved onto the next. For now: Lifehouse. It was probably one of his more favorite bands, and it was one that his mother had listened to a lot when he was younger. The first song he'd ever learned (aside from, you know, stupid songs) was Broken by Lifehouse. Good times. "I-I can change it if you want to listen to something else..." Jace said, mumbling as he did and started scrolling through his other music, until Stu started pouring M&Ms in his hand and Jace fumbled and dropped his phone into his lap. Well, whatever.

And then Casper was sitting behind them with another kid, and Jace felt weird being the only senior amongst a group of freshmen. But he smiled, popping a few M&Ms in his mouth, and leaned back against the window to look over the top of the seat at the two freshman. Jace was big enough that he didn't need to push himself up in the seat.

"Yeah, I can't wait to meet your dad." Jace said, smiling at Stu as he did. Okay, so he was a little bit worried about what Stu's dad would think of him, but he was still excited. He then looked back at the twins. "Uhh, I'm... Jace," he said, looking at the new boy that he didn't recognize. The one that was not Casper.

And then the bus driver finally put the bus into drive, and the old school bus started its rumbling way towards the university. Finally.

Drake

He knew his fair share of people, and so yes, Drake knew Other Jace. Jace who wasn't related to Ash since, well, for Drake, Beanie Jace was always just Ash's lame brother in his thoughts. "Yeah, go ahead. Knock yourself out." He said with a friendly grin as he scooted his way closer to the window so that Jace would have room to sit before he turned back to June and Alaska.

"Cameras?" Drake echoed as he looked down at June. "Do they sell cameras at colleges? Does the university even have like a photography course or whatever?" Well, they might. He wondered what kind of degree people with cameras got. Did photographers even need degrees? Drake didn't think they did. As he spoke, the bus lurched and started moving.

Ash
Pretty.gif

So yes, she'd planned on spending the bus ride enjoying herself snuggled next to Ryder and forgetting about the world and all of the drama of high school. Ash smiled at Grace as she walked on, watching as she took a seat next to Sawyer. Still, it was easy to tell that many of the students hadn't forgotten what had happened as they looked at Grace and whispered amongst themselves -- which just annoyed her. And then Ryan walked on, and Ash's previous uncertainties came back.

Yeah, she needed answers. "Hey, I'll be right back, okay? I want to ask Ryan about this rumor." So Ash smiled at Ryder, kissed him on the cheek, then climbed into the center aisle as the bus started up. The bus driver yelled at her to sit down, but Ash ignored him and made her way to the back where she dropped into the seat next to Ryan.

She hadn't spoken to him since the whole newspaper room thing, so Ash was, well, a little uncomfortable. But she needed answers. So at first, she didn't speak, instead just pulling out her phone and pulling up the Twitter. She then shoved her phone in Ryan's face, glaring at him as she did so. "What the hell is this, Ryan?" She whisper-yelled at him. What? She didn't want more of the drama getting out or anything. "I swear to god if you lied to me and you really did sleep with Grace when she was drunk..." She couldn't continue the sentence, instead just trailing off and waiting for him to speak.

Ryan was sitting in the back. He was mean mugging everyone and when Ash came up. He mean mugged her to. They had made up but still it wasn't enough. Ryan had looked at twitter when Ash shoved her phone in his face. He read it and listened to Ash as she basically yelled at him. With every word he got angerier and angerier. When she couldn't continue it was no ryan's time to speak. He wasn't going to be quiet. If everyone wanted to know his business then so be it. "You honestly believe in a rumor. I already told you what happened. If you don't believe it then your fucking stupid for not listening. But then again you are Ashton West. Oh miss high and mighty that I believe anything and everything. If you got a problem. I have no problem kicking the back door open and throwing you off this bus. Now go back up to pansie boy before I show you what it's like to lose a leg. Which you caused..." Every word got louder and louder till he was full on screaming at her. He quieted down after a second and got inches away from her face. "So how about you go before I show you what it means to have a prosthetic leg shoved up your ass." He said inches from her face.

Ryan pretty much just pissed her off more, although Ash still tried to keep her voice down, but there was no way she was walking away before she got serious answers. "Well why the hell should I believe you? Grace doesn't remember what happened, and how do I know you wouldn't have done something while the two of you were drunk." Despite actually going on that single date with Ryan, Ash really didn't know him that well. Such as now when he threatened to throw her off the bus, and blamed her for him losing a leg. Again.

"And it's not my fucking fault you were an idiot and got hit by a van, so stop blaming me for your stupid leg." She brushed off Ryan calling Ryder a pansie. One, Ryder was not a pansie and two, well, that was an argument she wasn't willing to have. "I dare you to throw me off this bus, you dick. You like to think you're some kind of badass but we both know you aren't."

"Now, do you know who the hell is doing this to Grace?" Yes, Ash had still come here for a mission, even if now it was turning into an argument with Ryan. What a way to start the day.
