Mood: Determined | Interacting with: Mason and Carter

Belle sat in the corner of the bathroom. What was she told to do again during these episodes? Breathing exercises or something along those lines. Why did God invent PTSD? Was it really necessary to torture victims of horrible events even more? She nearly jumped out of her skin at the sound of someone knocking on the door. Which was quickly followed by the voice of carter, some of the words slightly slurred. She opened her mouth to respond but couldn't get the words out. After a few minutes of her talking through the door, she figured out that it was unlocked. Which gave her enough time to get ahold of herself.

Carter apologised quite a few times and how could she stay upset at someone with a face like that. "It's okay, really. It just took me by surprise" she confessed, tossing the washcloth in the sink. "Besides I think you have had enough to drink" she giggled. Now that the flashbacks had received she felt the effects of the alcohol come back on. She pulled herself to her feet and stole a shot from a girl passing by. "I, on the other hand, have not," she said, downing the shot. It burned a little on its way down but not too bad. "Looks like the siren needs some fuel to lure its next victim," the girl's friend said a little too loudly as they walked away. "Bitches" Belle muttered, rolling her eyes. If they wanted to talk so much, then she was going to give them something to talk about. If they want siren then that is what they will get. "You can make it up to me by dancing" she winked.

Taking her hand, she lead Carter back into the main room. It was playing some type of pop song which just wouldn't do. So she switched it to a slower, sexier number that fit her needs. This was exactly what she needed. To let loose and just enjoy herself with a cute girl. As the music started she wrapped her arms around Carter's neck, pulling her closer. Her hip movements were slightly exaggerated to add to the sex appeal as she danced for her. She found Mason in the crowd and winked at him. What fun would doing this be if she couldn't mess with him at least a little? He had said he wanted to see her dance after all. Throughout the song, Belle pulled her little 'Siren' dancer tricks. Using the more sexual moves she knew but had never put to use. On the last few notes, she brushed her lips teasingly against hers before stepping away. "Now that was fun" she smirked, very aware of the eyes on them. But this time she didn't care. Maybe it was the alcohol.

Mads

"Yea well, it seems to be more bad than good." God, he really shouldn't have drank tonight. It was just making him worse, he wanted to let go and now all his mind could focus on was his mom. He should have learned how to live without her at this point, yet anytime he turned around or saw Rae out of the corner of his eye he hoped it was her. He hadn't ever realized how alike they looked when his mom was around, it wasn't until she was gone did he see her in Rae. "My dad isn't even around anymore. I mean he is, but he might as well be dead too, he locks himself away for days at a time."

He knew Ash was trying to be helpful, but he just couldn't handle it. He silently looked away from her as she patted his back. There was nothing she could do to make it better, but he'd let her believe she was helping. The two of them were way passed drunk, he couldn't listen and as much as Ash was trying there wasn't much she could say to fix Mads. "Thanks." He didn't take his eyes off the sky, turning to her briefly with a small smile.

Carter really needed to learn to keep her mouth shut when she was drunk. However within a few moments of apologizing Belle was up and on the move again. In a much better mood. "Oh there is no way I'm done tonight. Just a small break." She smirked, yes Carter was definitely drunk, but it was Friday, and she was already passed being able to drive herself home, so she might as well go a bit longer and have a bit more fun.

Carter over heard the other girls, just rolling her eyes at the comments. "I'll happily be your next victim." She said loud enough for those bitches to hear. "I mean it is your birthday after all, you get whatever you want." Carter said taking a step closer to Belle.

Carter followed willingly after Belle, giggling a bit when she changed the song. Now by no means was Carter a good dancer, especially compared to the cheerleader in front of her. But she knew how to move her hips, and did a decent job at keeping up with her. Carter met Belle's moves, she was sure the two red heads were drawing a lot of attention, but she didn't pay any attention to them.

Carter felt Belle's lips brush against hers, she was a bit out of breath from the dancing and alcohol making her response time much slower, . "The birthday girl is just going to leave me hanging like that?" She was already smiling from the dance, Belle was right that had been a lot more fun.

Raven
tumblr_inline_pnd1784UcV1rqmlml_400.gif

Raven's lips tilted into a smirk as she kept her eyes locked on Kanen while Ariana ran over to the doll. Her smirk faded at his words, she was just teasing... however, he seemed serious. Their eye-contact which felt like that lasted forever was broken by Ari asking her questions, merely shrugging at the kid and lifting herself up to sit upright. "Are you kidding me?" She shook her head in plain amusement. "We're best friends. Of course I know the guy." Kids... were actually kind of fun, this was better than... well, drinking or dancing. Maybe. Maybe. Don't hold her to that. "Y'know. He actually told me he was thinking about coming here soon."

"Maybe in time for someone's birthday." Raven raised her eyebrows in a playful manner, what? She'll talk to Mason. What's the big deal if they get one of those people that dress up or whatever. Shouldn't be too expensive. Yes, it wasn't her daughter and she literally just met her. But why not try to make the kid happy? She'll probably forget about all of this tomorrow anyway. Tiny brains and all that.

A few minutes later the doorbell rang, and it was obviously pizza. If it was her parents Raven was gonna fight someone, she said she had this. Well... her and Kanen had this anyway. Getting the food and placing it on the table before she turned to the kid. "Are you like... hungry? Does your kind even eat?" Look, she never babysat before. Give her a break.

Caleb
tumblr_inline_ngsjgbSCbO1t6da4c.gif

Caleb turned in her direction at the mention of his name. And for a second he thought she was going to yell at him. It wasn't a difficult question to why he was doing... this. But it was to her and frankly, he didn't understand how she didn't know. What is he supposed to say to that though? 'I miss you.' No, he can't. 'Because... I still want you?' No, that's worse. But why exactly couldn't he say those things? Because he didn't appreciate her when he had her. So why do it now? Why hurt her more even when it hurts him the most to not say so?

The answer to those were so simple. He still cared about her. These other girls... well... he hadn't met one like Serena. Nor did he want another copy of her, he just wanted her. Not bothering to turn in whatever direction she was looking at, and he kept his eyes on her. "Because." He shrugged, and left his answer there. He was painfully aware she wasn't interested in speaking with him. So that was okay. If she didn't want to talk to him. She could have what she wants. Besides he's fairly certain what she wants isn't him. Finishing his drink and taking the olive out before sliding it to the bartender. Popping the olive in his mouth, he just... sat there.

If she didn't want to talk to him, she didn't have to. He was content on just sitting here until someone wanted to. Or... until it was time to go home and he could tell his mother he had 'fun.' Mostly just to please her, it'd probably hurt too much to hear her son's alone almost always.

Ash

She just listened as he spoke. It was hard for her to understand what he was going through, or to even offer any kind of sage advice or anything. With some things, it was better to just stay quiet and listen, so that's what she tried to do. Ash wondered what it was like to basically have no more parents. Sure, her mother had left and then her father had been so wrapped up in work that she had never seen them, but at least he was still there and her mother wasn't... well. "I'm... really sorry about all of that, like... no one deserves that, but you especially. You're like, the nicest person I know." Well, on level with Grace.

Ash smiled back at him, gently bumping into him with her shoulder. "Please. I don't know why you're thanking me." She said, rolling her eyes and then leaned against Mads because sitting up was surprisingly difficult when one was very drunk. "But uh... seriously, if you ever need to talk, I'm totally here." She promised him, closing her eyes.

Mason
Staring Off.gif

He'd spent far too much time with Adriane, arguing about whether or not Ariana was safe with Kanen back at home. Twitter certainly didn't help, neither did Kanen's many rude remarks to her. He'd finally convinced Adriane to calm down and enjoy the evening, and was now seated at the bar with her. It was... strange, to be at a party with Adriane but not actively be dating her, or making out with her right now. Fuck, the two of them had hardly ever talked before she was pregnant. Like sure, they had been dating, but most of their alone time dating had been spent... well, you can guess. So yeah, it was a little weird.

"Any word from Drake?" Adriane asked, raising an eyebrow towards Mason as she took a sip of her drink, and Mason just shook his head helplessly in response. Fuck, this was the worst conversation topic to start with her, and it was obvious that she understood that as she looked down at her drink, swirling it around in the cup. "I uh... I'm sorry, about keeping Ari from you. It's not you -- you're an amazing dad. It's just... your mother, she scares me after what happened, you know? And like, that was fine, I was able to try and work past that, but then you let Kanen in, and..." she paused, biting her lip for a moment as Mason watched her. "Mason, he's in the mafia and like, I know he's your best friend, but he broke your leg and I heard he threw that freshman into the chairs, and he's just so... violent and he's never been able to stay clean, and I just... he really worries me around her."

Mason could understand where she was coming from, but he also didn't entirely know what to say. "It's fine, Adriane. I probably should've asked you before letting him live with me." He mumbled, and turned his attention away from Adriane to look around the party... and then his eyes fell on Carter and Belle.

Both were obviously very drunk, and now, Belle was dancing rather uh... provocatively against Carter, and Mason couldn't drag his eyes away from her. Well, her or Carter, and then Belle even had the audacity to make eye contact with him and wink. He rolled his eyes, but still couldn't look away. Well, not until Adriane stood up next to him.

"Go have fun with your friends." She whispered, giving him a kiss on the cheek and then walked away from the bar with glass in hand. For a moment, Mason's eyes followed Adriane. Usually, he would've chased after her, begging her to stop and talk to him, but now, well... he was actually comfortable with watching her walk away, and then his gaze turned back to Belle and Carter.

Mason finished the rest of his drink and got off of the bar stool, swaying for a brief moment, before he steadied himself and then headed out onto the dance floor towards Carter and Belle. "Wow, Carter. Keeping the birthday girl all to yourself?" He smirked at his best friend, shaking his head in mock disappointment. "And you even stole the dance that she promised me."

Ariana

She was quiet for a moment when Raven talked to her, then pointed to herself with one hand. "My birthday?" Ari asked, just clarifying exactly where Spiderman would be heading. Wow... Raven was the coolest. No wonder her daddy never stopped talking about her, but why didn't her mother like her?

Ari groaned loudly at Raven's question. "Yes, am hungry." She said as she followed right behind Raven, jumping up and down a bit. "I love pizza." She chanted, shaking her little fist as she did so.

Belle was a little breathless but continued to move to the music. Why did alcohol make dancing so much more difficult? Ugh. It was annoying. At least she knew that she still did a good job. The expressions of the people around them gave that much away. Why did teenage boys always freak out about a little girl on girl action, honestly. Girls like girls its not that big of a deal.

"Yep. Where's the fun in giving you what you want? You might just have to take it for yourself some time" she said, smiling innocently. This was so much fun. Why didn't she do this more often? Dancing with Carter had made her forget everything that was wrong with her life. She might just have to keep this girl around. Well if she was as fun sober as she is when she's drunk that is.

Belle wrapped her arms around Carter's neck and was about to tease her further when Mason's approached. "Maaaason" she giggled, pulling away from Carter. Was he coming to have fun too? She knew that wink would get to him. He was the one who had wanted to dance with her after all. When he said Carter was keeping her to herself she shrugged, pulling her innocent smile again. "I don't mind."

Was he jealous? That would be pretty cute. If he was she was definitely going to make him more jealous. "I didn't promise anything. You said you wanted to watch and you did" she teased. Knowing that wasn't what he had meant when he had flirted with her earlier. Too bad for him she wasn't the type to give people what they wanted so easily. Especially when she was drunk.

Charlie McAllister

tumblr_p5zzrcCsOp1wk895bo4_500.gif

Charlie's lip curled back a bit, like he was a snarling cat. "If she's so bothered, why... why can't she come tell me herself? All I did was say 'shut up' on Twitter, as a joke, I might add..." He still wasn't making proper eye contact with Zach, his hand clutching the neck of his guitar. That was his baby, after all. "I don't get why she had to... to send you... It's not like--"

He was swiftly interrupted by another oncoming person. A person who was... sticking up for him, of all things? Why? Had he done something good?... It seemed so odd, to be just suddenly supported. Vindicated, even. They were both built for fighting, Charlie could tell from a mile away. In a weaker state, he may even have hit on one or the other, but that was neither here nor there. He mumbled a quiet "thank you".

"...Yeah, that's just... just what I'm comfortable with. That mingling stuff, I can't... I won't." He was firm on that. Human interaction wasn't made for the likes of himself. The only thing really made for him were sad songs and those Japanese porn games people play when they can't get a date. (Not that he'd ever touched anything of the sort, out of sheer anxiety. Not when his mom was here, no way.) "I haven't got anywhere else to go, and... playing alone in a park at night is... kind of... lame." He put it bluntly. He'd look like a goddamn fool, sitting there in the cold and playing old tunes with only the raccoons to keep him company. He hated the public, sure, but the ideal place for him to play was... well, his house. Where nobody could find him and judge him, period.

"I can... go to a different room. I-if you need me to. And, if, uh, Belle has... other words, she can talk them at me." Pause. "I mean- talk... say them to me. Yeah." Dammit! Shit! Why did he have to sound stupid?!

June frowned a bit. She was tempted to find another room to cry into, but she realized how pathetic that sounded. She leaned against the opposite side of the ping pong table watching Theo for a bit until he said he was going to cheer her up. Although, she was already annoyed by him, or everyone really, she didn’t want him to try. “Right. You don’t need to be worried about me and cheering me up.” She paused however when he pulled out balloon animals. She didn’t know quite what to say.

She did think it was random, which was the funny kind of random, so she smiled slightly as she accepted it. “I just have... a lot of questions.” She turned the balloon animal around before putting it down. “But it’s going to be hard to cheer me up.” She said with a shrug. “Maybe more drinks, but I can’t even have that. Honestly forgot why I was here...”

Madison smiled as she said he was the nicest person she knew. "You don't get anything out of being mean." The two of them must of been insane for sitting outside in mid November. But he didn't feel any of it, he wished he could feel a lot less. "My dad taught me that." He sighed, looking around the front yard. He could hear the beats of the party going on inside of the house, it was much quieter out here. It was that kind of cold that made the rest of the world just seem quiet.

Mads let out a small chuckle as she said that she didn't know what he was thanking her. "You're here. That's why." When she leaned into him he felt himself start to sway, but he wasn't going to make that obvious. He dug his hands into the ground trying to steady himself. Looking down at Ash to see that Ash was on the verge of falling asleep.

Carter smirked, oh this girl was just one huge tease. Funny enough she met her match. "Don't test me Doll Face." She said flirtatiously, letting out a small laugh. Carter was almost sure the two of them probably wouldn't get along without all of the alcohol in their systems, but she would be happily proven wrong if it so came that way.

Quickly they were interrupted, it was probably for the best Carter was starting to feel her decisions from earlier in the night. "Sorry that I make better company than you." She smirked she put a hand on one of his shoulders and rested her head on the other for a moment. Carter mumbled some unrecognizable words into Mason's chest.

She lifted up her head and patted Mason on the chest. "I think its time I find my own lay." Smirking she waved to Belle stumbling a bit away. "I'm sure that one still has some energy left for you." Carter winked in their direction and made her way back over to the bar. The bar tender had expressed interest earlier, so why not. She leaned against the counter, turning down the offer of more drinks..

Zach rubbed the back of his neck. "Dude she's trying to enjoy, her birthday, not your birthday." He looked over to see someone else trying to help Charlie, he turned to face Daniel. "It's not his fucking house, if she wants him gone he kinda does got to go." Were these guys the most dense people at this party.

"I don't get why you guys are trying to act like you own the place. You don't get to make the decisions here." Zach rolled his eyes, crossing his arms across his chest"She told him not to come, and here he is?" Zach was taller and wider built than both of these guys and he wasn't looking to fight, he was just trying to get Charlie to stop playing his guitar. "He can strum it else where. There are plenty of places that would welcome him."

"You seemed to have no problem mingling with out your guitar at JJ's so whats the difference here." This guy wasn't making much sense, and he really just needed to get out of here. Zach was almost sure that most of the extremely intoxicated people in here would be making more sense than either of these guys were. Specifically Charlie.

Seeing how Zach wasn’t going to leave Charlie alone, Danny sighed and set his drink down. Sure, Zach made some good points, Charlie didn’t really have any right to be at the party, but that didn’t change anything for Danny. He had already picked his side, and he wasn’t about to just fold. He was a Fiaco. Being stubborn was practically in his blood. It probably didn’t help that Danny was intoxicated either though.

“Hey, uh, go ahead and fuck right off, ok?” Daniel spoke, looking up at the older boy. He was bigger, stronger, he’ll he was probably more sober, but Daniel didn’t care. His veins were filled with liquid courage and teenage testosterone. Anyone with two eyes and a brain could see that Daniel was way out of his league here, but that didn’t stop what was coming.

Danny’s hand curled up into a tight fist, and he just fucking swung. It was sloppy of course, unpracticed and slow, but damn it, Daniel tried. Thank god he’d been drinking most of the night, hopefully he’d be too drunk to feel the ass-whooping that was coming his way...

Ok, kids are nuts. First she hated pizza and now Ari was chanting for it? What the hell was up with that? Kanen watched as Ari followed Raven like a lost puppy. The kid already loved her, granted, a lot of that was probably just because Raven claimed to know Spiderman, but still. It was cute. Kanen could’ve just sat back and watched the two play around all night, but first he had to hide his hotwings.

The moment the food hit the dinner table, Kanen scooped up the box of hotwings and deposited them into the microwave. The pizza was free game, but the wings? Those were his. If they wanted wings, they should’ve asked for them when Kanen offered.

Ok...He’d maybe share. But Kanen wouldn’t give them up with a little bit of complaining! Hotwings were the lifeblood of America damn it!

“You know, Thor is the best superhero.” Kanen mused as he grabbed a piece of pizza. Yeah, antagonizing a two year old and Raven probably wasn’t his best idea tonight, but Kanen was a tease at heart. Besides, Raven would know he was joking. Ari was the only one that would really get upset over it.

"Wow, you are a very smart person. So full of wisdom... or, I guess your dad is, but good for you for remembering it." Ash mumbled, her eyes still closed as she finally just gave in and laid her head against Mads' shoulder. What? She had officially given up, and he was very warm, and she was freaking cold since Ash hadn't exactly thought about the whole mid-November thing and brought any kind of coat. Plus, at this point, she was drunk and tired and staying upright was difficult. "And like, okay, you're welcome I guess for being here, but you shouldn't be thanking me. We're friends. Of course I'm here."

Eventually, after a few minutes and almost completely falling asleep, Ash pulled her head away from his shoulder and sat up, opening her eyes to look at him. "Sorry," she mumbled, offering him a faint smile while she pulled the sleeves of her sweater down over her hands, and then wrapped them around her to try and stay warm.

Wow, okay, so they were both very drunk. Mason stood still as Carter leaned against him, and just rolled his eyes. He gently patted her back, and made a mental note to take her home when he left for the night. There was obviously no way that she was driving home, and he certainly didn't trust most of these people to take Carter home. When she mentioned leaving and finally moved away from him, Mason just rolled his eyes at her. "Sure, whatever, Carter. Good luck, but I doubt you'll find anyone better than the birthday girl here." He winked at Carter, and then watched her for a moment as she stumbled away.

Mason let out a deep breath and then turned back to Belle, who was very much drunk, and he was a little bit worried that she might fall over. How had she managed to move herself like that with Carter when she seemed to be this far gone? "Hey, birthday girl, do you want to go lay down or something?" He asked, holding his hands out towards her to catch her just in case she tried to fall or something.

"And when I said I wanted to watch, I thought it was implied that I also wanted to experience, but whatever. Watching you dance with Carter was way hotter, anyway." After all, Carter may have been like a sister to him, but she was fucking hot and there was no denying that. Of course, he wouldn't have minded if Carter would find someone else to dance on, but whatever. It wasn't like he was necessarily into Belle, or-- ... Okay, whatever. It didn't matter. Drake had been set on going on a date with Belle, and it would've been horrible for him to steal a girl from Drake yet again. Ellison had been bad enough, but if he did it a second time? Well.

They were cute. The way the Carter rested her head on his chest made her a little jealous. No, not in that way. It was more she wished she had someone to be like that with. Someone who she had known forever and was just completely comfortable with. Well, she did have that but well... they died. So she didn't have anyone like that anymore. Belle blew carter a kiss as she said something about finding her own thing. "Byeee" she giggled.

Then she was left alone with Mason for the second time that night. Not that she minded really. As long as he wasn't being a meanie she enjoyed his company. He asked her if she wanted to lay down? Did she look like she needed to lay down? There was no way in hell she was going to lay down. "I don't need to lay down," she said, sticking her bottom lip out in a pout. Feeling like she needed to prove her point she dropped into the splits. "See?" she asked, using his outstretched hand to pull herself up.

Then another dancer bumped into her, causing her to stumble into Mason's arms. "Wooah" she giggled, resting her hands on his chest. They were quite close now but Belle didn't seem to notice. That or she just didn't care. Was he wearing cologne? It smelt nice. "The dance floors too crowded, another time." Did she just say she would dance for him? Sober her was never going to live that one down. "Your eyes are pretty" she murmured. Also probably wouldn't live that one down either.

He watched with an amused smile as Belle demonstrated to him just how alright she was. Mason nodded his head in agreement. "Yeah, you totally look ready to keep dancing." Well, if drunk Belle was going to believe him, then he would just support her silly attempts to convince him otherwise. Such as doing the splits in the middle of the dance floor.

And then she was being knocked into his arms, and if Mason was actually drunk, he was sure that he would've made a really bad decision right now. Fuck, even with him not being drunk, he wanted to make a bad decision as she looked into his eyes, even going as far as to compliment them. Mason hesitated, smiling at her, his hands resting on her sides to keep her from falling over. "Thanks. I--" he was prepared to continue when his phone started buzzing in his pocket.

Immediately, his thoughts went to there be something wrong with Ariana as he took his phone out, realizing it was an unknown number. "One sec." He said, smiling at Belle before he carefully let go of her, and then headed out of the main room to a somewhat quieter part of the house. Mason answered the phone, putting it up to his ear. "Hello?" He asked, and was immediately hit with "Yes, we have a young man that was admitted to the hospital with no identification. Your number was found on a card in his wallet. Do you happen to know him?"

His stomach fell, and Mason felt as if he might be sick. Drake. It had to be Drake. "I... yes, I think I know him." From there, it was a jumble of words. He promised to come down to the hospital right away to identify him, to check on him. Drug overdose, they said, but didn't release any other information. Not if he was alive or if he'd wake up or if he'd be fine, and finally, they ended the call, and all Mason could do was sit there with the phone clenched in his hand. He needed a car. He needed help. Fuck. Who was supposed to help him? Everyone was drunk, and now he needed to also call Kanen and see if he could watch Ari, and--

Adriane. He needed Adriane. Well, he didn't need Adriane, but he was stressed and when he was stressed and felt helpless, all he wanted was his ex. That wasn't healthy, he reminded himself, but Adriane would be just as worried about Drake. He hesitated, his gaze going back to Belle... And finally Mason headed out towards her, taking her arm and pulling her away from the dancing, partying messes. "Belle," he said, coming close enough to her that his wavering voice could be heard over everything else. "That was the hospital. They have Drake. Drug overdose." What do I do? That's of course what he wanted to ask, but kept himself from that. Stay strong, after all.

"But you're waaaarm" Belle protested. She pouted as he left her to go answer a call. Bummer. Hopefully, it wasn't an emergency with Ari because then he would have to leave and she didn't want that. Then again he had hired a mafia member to look after his child, he was silly.

She continued to dance by herself until Mason came back. Something was wrong. She could see it all over his face. So when he pulled her from the dance floor she didn't protest. "What is it?" she asked. The way his voice kind of broke when he said her name hurt her heart. Okay, Something was very wrong. Drake... Drug overdose. What? was he okay? Was he even alive? Was he supposed to go ID his body? She needed more information than that but it didn't look like he had it either.

So she wrapped her arms around him in a tight embrace. He looked like he really needed a hug. God, this was not a good time to be drunk. Okay need a plan... Not worth driving they needed a... She pulled out her phone and sent a quick text to her driver. What? Sometimes a girl wants to do a maccas run when they are really drunk. Okay, one problem solved. “Need to sober up” she muttered, scanning the room.

Belle realeased Mason from the hug and took his hand instead. “My driver is waiting out front but I just need to get this out of my system” she said, pulling him into the bathroom. Okay, that sounded very wrong. “Hold my hair? I’m gonna puke” She requested. Once he had a hold of it she leaned over the sink and... shoved her finger down her throat. She quickly removed it as she emptied the contents of her stomach into the sink. There would still alcohol in her system but ideally it should help sober things along. “Oh god that’s horrid” she scrunched up her nose as she rinsed out the sink, then her mouth. What? All girls knew how to make themselves puke it’s a sad fact.

That was both of her problems sorted. On their way out she shot Grace a quick message and grabbed a thing of bread. Hopefully eating some carbs would help as well. She pulled Mason into the back seat of a sleek black car. “To the Hospital, Sam” she instructed, leaning her head on Masons shoulder. Had she mentioned that she had a fear of puking? She was inwardly freaking out at what she had just done. Eugh. “That was such a bad idea” she muttered into his shoulder.

Raven smiled amusedly at the child's rather upbeat attitude for pizza she'd hated long ago. And... frankly, so relieved she actually ate this kind of stuff. Propping the tiny satan off-spring onto a chair and placing a slice on a plate sliding it in front of Ari. "Mmhm. Your birthday." Watching as Kanen hid food for later with a roll of her eyes. Okay, seriously. There was no way in hell this guy had ties with the mafia. He looked like the type maybe. But looks can be deceiving... Taking a seat beside the kid and grabbed pizza for herself.

She halfway through a bite when Kanen had dropped that bomb. Dropping her pizza onto the plate with a small smack. "Excuse me." Okay, look. It was one thing to prefer a superhero over the other, but don't diss SpiderMan like that. As if Thor was better than SpiderMan please. Fine. He wanted to play that way, she could too.

Raven mocked gasped, putting a hand to her chest as if she was extremely offended. She kinda was. "Uncle K. Are you saying you hate SpiderMan?" She asked but looked directly to Ari... so she had her own mini-soldier to fight her battles for her. What was so wrong with that? They were on the same side after all...

Mason
Staring Off.gif

It was like he was walking through some kind of vortex, or some kind of haze. Living some life that wasn't his as Belle hugged him, the phone still clenched tightly in his fist. God, there was so much he needed to do... go make sure it was Drake, call his mother, get things from home, take care of Ari... where was Adriane? He hated how badly he wanted her right now, but in moments of weakness, well... Adriane would know what to do. Adriane would keep a straight head.

He followed behind her, his mind still a whirlwind of emotions, when they got to the bathroom and Belle mentioned something about puking. Mason reached forward, taking her hair and holding it. It may have bothered some people, but having a kid, well, you got kind of used to the whole vomit thing. Plus Adriane had always had morning sickness, and as it turned out, morning sickness was poorly named because they had been in the bathroom all hours of the day.

Mason paused when they were on their way to the limo, catching Adriane's arm. "I ah... Drake's in the hospital." He explained, his eyes watering up a bit as he spoke, remembering what happened last time.

Because he could even continue, or ask Adriane the million different questions he wanted to, she had wrapped him in her arms and this time, Mason hugged her back, burying his face in her hair. "Okay, alright," Adriane murmured, trying to steady her own thoughts so that she could help Mason out. "Go to the hospital and just stay with Drake. I'll head to your house, pick some stuff up, find your mom, and get someone to keep Ari for the night and then I'll meet you, alright?" She asked, pulling away from Mason and squeezing his shoulders, and then touched gently touched his cheek, pulling him back towards her. "It'll be alright."

And then Adriane let go and headed away, pulling her phone out and placing it to her ear, and Mason turned back to Belle. Well, at least he felt somewhat better as he sucked in a deep breath, and followed her to the vehicle. Maybe he would've been surprised that she had a driver but at this point, it wasn't a surprise. He climbed into the car after her, looking down at her as she laid her face against his shoulder. "Yeah, generally vomiting isn't exactly a good idea. Like, ever." He smirked.

Drake
Dreamy or Something.gif

The first time he had overdosed, it had been a terrifying experience that Drake heard about later. Screaming. Seizures. Biting. They had to strap him to the table to properly take care of him and Drake was fairly certain he had been pretty close to death. And then a psychologist had come down, and had talked to him, and he started going to therapy. Bipolar depression, they had announced. And yeah, that sucked, but at the time, Drake had shrugged it off. He got on the medication, did what they asked, but then it just made him so drowsy, so foggy, so... He stopped. And bam, mania hit and he was back to drugs.

And then, everything at the musical had gone down, and the next thing Drake knew, Stacey was dragging him along with a bunch of older people and they were out of town. They had just returned, were doing some more drugs, and then the next thing he knew, he could barely breathe. He had sat there, needle in his skin, trying to stay sitting up. Someone had mentioned how pale his lips were turning and the next thing he knew, everything blacked out.

Now, he slowly opened his eyes, staring up at a white ceiling. Drake slowly tried to push himself up, but winced and fell back down into the chair, closing his eyes to try and calm himself. How the hell had he ended up here, in the hospital? Where the fuck were all of his friends and everything? He was still trying to piece things together, when Mason stepped through the hospital door with Belle, and he was talking to some nurse, when he noticed that Drake was awake.

The nurse headed away, and Mason walked over, glaring down at his little brother. "What the fuck, Drake?" He snapped. "What the hell is this?" He roughly grabbed Drake's arm, causing him to wince, and gestured to the various little holes in his arm. "What the hell did you overdose on this time?" Mason snapped.

Drake rolled his eyes, looking towards Belle and smiling at her. "Hey! You! Sorry about missing our date. I was really looking forward to it." And yeah, he had been, but then he got high and all of his days faded away.

Ariana & Adriane
Hair Thing.gif

She hated the hospital. So when Mason had approached her and told her what had happened, volunteering to gather things needed and Mason's mother had been the first thing that popped up to her mind. It would keep her away from the hospital, and she would handle some of the more... well, not more difficult things, but some of the things she needed help with.

Now, Adriane was walking up the stairs to Mason's apartment. She'd already called his mother several times, and finally found out that she was a bar downtown. First step would be grabbing some things from the apartment, an then she would go grab Maria and head to the hospital. God, she prayed that Drake was okay, and when she got to the door and found it locked, her fingers fumbled with the keys for a moment before she managed to unlock the door.

She headed into the apartment, smiling when she saw Ari, who looked like she was about ready to fight Kanen from her seat at the dining table. "Hey, sweetheart." Adriane said with a sweet smile as Ari got down from her chair and ran over into Adriane's arms. "Hey, so, Uncle Drake is very sick, and Mommy and Daddy are going to go take care of him, okay? So I need you to be a big girl and stay here with Uncle Kanen and Raven until Mommy can come home. Okay?"

Ariana looked at Adriane, and just slowly nodded her head. "Hey, you know what Uncle Drake likes. Can you go get something to make him feel better? Maybe Spiderman to protect him?" And Ariana just nodded her head quietly, and then headed into the bedroom.

Adriane stood up, turning towards Kanen and Raven. "Drug overdose." She explained, running a hand through her hair. "Last time Mason took Ari because he didn't know how bad it was, and Drake started having seizures and then bit a doctor and was screaming and shit so like... I can't bring her." She crossed her arms over her chest, taking in a deep breath. "Can I leave Ari here with you two? I should be back in an hour or two, but I just want to make sure Mason is alright."

Charlie McAllister

Oh. Oh jeez.

"A-at JJ's?... I wasn't talking to anyone at JJ's..." Well, except him and Belle arguing and then JJ herself. Only to ask if he could put on something listenable. "I-I mean, I'd just gotten back from... stuff... happening and I figured, if anyone..." He swallowed. "If anyone bothered to remember I exist, they'd- they'd wanna know."

Pause.

"But they didn't." Another pause. "Even though I've been... going here for years."

Regardless, Charlie began putting his guitar back in its case. Maybe he'd just get a few drinks and then hole up in the corner in total silence, until drunkenness grabbed at him hard enough to ruin his common sense. Then maybe he'd make a friend by accident, like he did last time while chugging wine out of the bottle. Assuming he could call JJ a friend, which seemed disingenuous. She'd never agreed to be his friend, after all.

And now Daniel was- Oh no, oh god. "No, no, wait, I never said--" Oh my god they were fighting. "I-um-uh-I'm putting it, putting it away, now, you're, this isn't necessary. I'm, I don't think you need to, uh..."

It was too late. He'd caused this.

Because. How brilliantly specific. Serena barely resisted the urge to roll her eyes, now not only annoyed but also dissatisfied. With a quiet huff she turned away to watch the crowd again. Of all the boys who could've come up to her, why did it have to be the one she broke up with? Luckily it seemed Caleb wasn't going to press her with more awkward conversation. As bothersome as it was to not find out what the because was about, she definitely preferred not having to maintain conversation with him in the first place.

Oh look, the phone's exploding again. Having nothing better to do she decided to just watch the Twitter notifications scroll down her screen. Sure, she was vaguely aware that she was being rude, but it wasn't like she and her ex were actually talking anyways. Although she couldn't shake the feeling of reflecting badly on herself. Habits of etiquette didn't like to be pushed aside. Still she kept her attention on the phone, getting wrapped up in a fun little conversation with JJ. A compliment here, a little teasing there, and before long she had a little smirk on her face. Much better.

Looked like JJ was done with her nonsense though. Serena looked up from her phone, smiling across the floor at the cheerleader and her red haired friend. Ava, if her Twitter handle was anything to go by. Maybe it was time for her to actually start enjoying her night. Glancing over to make sure Caleb was still there, she addressed him in a somewhat brighter tone. "I'm gonna go say hi to JJ. Try not to have too much fun." Okay, so her tone got a little more aggressive towards the end of the sentence. She didn't try to cover for it or anything though. Serena just left the implication there as she elegantly left her seat, wine glass in her hand as she left the boy behind and made her way across the room.

"Hey JJ!" Serena called once she was in earshot, striding right up to the two girls. Her expression and posture were the very image of a confident first impression. It was so much easier to smile without Caleb within earshot. "I told you I wanted to meet your friend, right?" With that she turned her bright, emerald green gaze to the girl in question, offering out a hand. "I'm Serena, it's nice to officially meet you."

He'd been prepared to argue his Thor case and hear what Ari had to say about Spiderman being the better superhero when the front door opened. Kanen thought at first it was Mason, but instead it was just the devil herself, fucking Adriane. He didn't say anything at first, instead just glaring at her as Ari ran over to her mother, and then she mentioned Drake.

Fuck. So they'd found him, and he waited until Ari had left the room and listened to Adriane explain. Taking care of Ari all night wasn't what he had expected to do tonight, but she had been good since Raven had shown up.

"As long as Raven can stay." He said, smirking at the brunette before looking back at Adriane, crossing his arms over his chest in a show of masculine dickotry or something. Drug overdose was obviously something very bad that he had experienced with other people or something because wow what a fucking mess Kanen was.

Alaska

JQQr.gif

Despite how incredibly weird this whole situation was, Alaska was glad that it had happened. After all the crazy bullshit happening at school going to the aquarium was incredibly stress-relieving. Stu wasn't anywhere near as annoying as she thought he would be, in fact she found herself enjoying his company. He was much more positive than anyone else at Westbrook and he didn't ask her questions that were too personal, they just chatted light-heartedly and she found him quite funny.

The little blonde boy was someone she wouldn't have spared a second glance to in school, and yet here she was spending more time with him than she'd spent with her best friend in the last couple weeks. Drake had been getting worse lately and she didn't know how to help him, and she absolutely refused to even speak to Mason to ask how he was doing. She'd called him multiple times after the play incident, but he still hadn't answered. She pushed the bad thoughts to the back of her head, focusing on the present and her little adventure with Neck Tie.

"I can't believe he really bought that I was your sister." She joked, not understanding how the cashier could've possibly believed that the two were related, they looked almost nothing alike and she was definitely not proper enough to be British, but it got them a discount and she wouldn't complain about that. Rollercoasters were one of her favorite things, she loved the adrenaline and the high that came after, but she also found that she enjoyed the ferris wheel and watching little Stu try to win as many carnival games as possible. Stu was like the little brother she'd never wanted, but he was so much more fun to hangout with than Ryder, much less destructive.

Perhaps finding Kanen wasn't the closure she needed, maybe she just needed to move on with her life. Speaking of moving on, she couldn't help but think about Raven as she watched the sun start to dip behind the horizon, deciding to pullout her phone and text the brunette.

Wanna come over and teach me everything I missed in school today? ;)

The drive was boring and she was beginning to feel tired, though she was surprised when Neck Tie offering her the Kermit he'd won, not fighting the wide grin that covered her face. Before she could thank him, the car was making all sorts of concerning noises and she pulled off the highway to ensure they didn't die. This was one of the worst possible things that could've happened, she wasn't looking forward to telling her mother they needed to tow their car an hour home.

Belle Taylor

Mood: Worried| Interacting with: mason, Drake. |Mentions: Winona Winona

Belle hated hospitals. They reminded her of the worst time in her life and she didn't want to be anywhere near one. And yet there she was. Munching on a breadstick as they followed the nurse into Drakes room. He looked terrible. She had never seen an overdose victim and she didn't think she would want to see another one. As they approached she could see all the little holes in his arm. That was a lot of holes... She did her best to avoid giving away too much emotion. She didn't want him to feel any worse than he already did. Then Mason started yelling, well that would do it. "Mason..." she made eye contact with him and shook her head. Now wasn't the time for yelling. It wasn't going to do any good

"Don't try to brush this off, Drake. You were gone for a week" she said, keeping her voice soft but comforting. She slid into one of the seats beside him and gave his hand a soft squeeze. He looked even worse up close. No matter how much he smiled at her his eyes just looked... Dark. "You had us worried sick" Though she couldn't help but smile softly at his comment about having looked forward to their date. But if he was looking forward to it so much why did he go get high instead? She fought back a frown from forming on her lips. This wasn't the time to be thinking about herself.

"It even somehow forced Mason and me to become friends. I dragged him out of your place by his ear and forced him to help me" Belle giggled at the memory. Oh, the look on his face had been priceless. The memory might have been even more funny thanks to the alcohol running through her system. She was never going to drink again. Trying to get herself sober was so much work. She took another bite of her breadstick. Was it even working? She still felt pretty funny.

But what were they supposed to do now? Drake was home but he was very not okay. He had been off god knows where pumping himself full of drugs for a week. If he went home then he would be just a minutes walk from temptation. There were dealers everywhere in the slums how was he expected to get sober? Well... No Mason would never agree. But it wouldn't hurt to try. "Give us a minute, yeah?" she stood up from her seat and gestured for Mason to follow her.

Belle didn't speak until they were outside and the door was closed. "I want you guys to move in with me. Wait. Hear me out for a minute" she said before he could even protest. He was too proud for what she was offering but maybe just maybe. He would see what she did. "How is he supposed to get clean when there is a dealer less than a minutes walk in any direction. Maybe a change in senary would do him some good? Not having to worry about the things you usually do" she fiddled her ring but kept talking. "Also think about Ari. Do you really want her to grow up in a place like that?" was he going to get upset with her? She hoped not. "I live alone in a mansion. It's not like it would be a hassle to have you around. You're my friend Mason. I care about you and Drake so... Just think about it? For them." For the second time that night she pulled him into a tight embrace.

Drake
Little Head Thing.gif

He just rolled his eyes at Mason's words, not really caring anymore. This is how it always went down -- Mason yelled, the doctors said nonsense, they left, and then everything returned to normal. But he looked away from Mason to instead look at Belle, a smile on his face. "A full week? Really? Wow, it feels like it was just yesterday." Drake said with a laugh, and started getting a little twitchy. He kept readjusting his position in the bed, trying to just shrug off all of Belle's words.

"Oh my god, really? Mason, you have a new friend? Now that is the craziest thing I've ever heard." He said with a snort, which earned another dirty look from his brother. Drake just rolled his eyes, and poked Mason in the chest. His limbs felt heavy, and he was exhausted, and his head hurt, but he was trying to ignore all of that and act like he was fine. Because if he acted like he was fine, then they would let him out sooner, and then Drake really would be fine.

He blinked at Belle as she asked to speak to Mason for a moment, and although he was a bit suspicious, he just shrugged and leaned back into his pillows. "Go ahead." He said, waving his hand dismissively at the two as he picked up the little controller for his bed, and started making it go up and down while Mason and Belle left.

Mason
Hair Flip.gif

For the most part, Mason was still only partially listening to the conversation. His eyes were on Drake's arms, crisscrossed with scars from cutting and holes from the needles. Fuck. It was hard for Mason to know exactly how messed up Drake was when he always sweaters, and for this reason specifically. Their whole family had an "out of sight, out of mind" kind of motto. Cover up the issues, keep acting like nothing was wrong, and surely they would get better.

He looked away from Drake when Belle asked to speak to him in the other room, so he followed out after her, casting one last glance back at his brother to watch him moving his bed up with the little button controls. Mason just rolled his eyes, and then stepped out into the hallway with her, looking towards Belle to see what she wanted... and then she suggested the worst idea he'd ever heard. He let her speak, arms crossed over her chest, although nothing she said made him want to agree.

"We're not some charity case." Mason snapped. Yeah, a good part of what had even put him so on edge with this situation was her mentioning Ariana. Why did everyone constantly throw her well-being in his face, as if nothing he did was good enough for her? "We're fine where we're at. It might be hard to understand, but Drake actually has a mother that fucking cares about him. I can't just tell him that we're moving. His mom will flip." And yeah, although they shared a mom, Mason was still referring to her as Drake's mom.

"Thanks, though, for showing me that you're just like every other fucking rich kid. Thinking that we can't do shit without your help. Really nice." Mason shook his head again, and then started back into Drake's room. "Go home, Belle. We don't need your fucking help. We're fine." He snapped over his shoulder.

Martin

Martin3.png

Martin waited for the light to turn green. ‘Yes, that’s what he said on the phone,’ he told Elise, gripping and regripping the wheel anxiously. The traffic didn’t budge, and if that wasn’t bad enough, a large ambulance was trying to wiggle its way through the rush hour deadlock.

‘I think he said it was a girl from school.’

But his heart dropped when Elise mentioned the mafia. ‘You. . . you know the boy?’ Martin’s eyes widened both with surprise and disgust. ‘Christ. I had no idea. . . Actually I think he came to see Stu once, at the hospital.’

Immediately he realised he hadn’t even told Elise about his son’s near-death experience yet. They’d just met for the first time; Stu had sneaked some ridiculous photos of Martin and himself in Roman togas into his PowerPoint slideshow, causing mass hysteria in the lecture hall. Elise came up to him afterwards saying how lovely she thought their father and son relationship was, which made him beam with certain pride. He just didn’t want to ruin that positive image of himself with ‘oh by the way, I let my under-age son get alcohol poisoning last Friday and he nearly died.’

‘I. . . I never got around to telling you about the time Stu was hospitalised, for alcohol poisoning,’ he muttered as the traffic edged forward by a hair’s breadth. ‘It was quite serious, and the police were involved. He’d gone to this. . . this party – Ash’s party, actually. I mean, I didn’t know she was your daughter at the time. This was before we met.’

Well, that was awkward.

‘Anyway like I said, this boy, Kanen, came to see him at the hospital. He might have been his only visitor, I don’t know. Stu didn’t really know anyone at the time, and it was his first or second week at school. He wasn’t doing so well, got a bruise or two on his first day. I imagine he was having some trouble with the bullies, but he never told me about it. I just knew something was wrong. I could just sense it, you know?’

‘But I caught Kanen lingering at the doorway and he started apologising to me. . . blaming himself for letting Stu drink under his watch. I didn’t think much of it at the time. . . I thought he was just being apologetic.’ Martin felt a lump in his throat. ‘Oh my God. Maybe he got Stu got involved in something. . . maybe he was hurt on purpose, maybe he was being threatened.’ At this point Martin was freaking out, so it was a good thing the light turned green. ‘The other day Stu came home late without a word’s notice. He told me he helped some older kid sell some pies. Oh my God.’

‘His friend Casper. . . that kid was acting all weird too. I mean, weirder than usual. What if they’re both being targeted?’ Martin massaged his migraine stricken temples. There was no other explanation, his son was definitely being used by some underground criminal ring. ‘I had no idea this Kanen was in trouble with the police, or that he was a criminal. Christ. Stu sounded scared on the phone. What if he’s in real danger?

Martin wrestled with his thoughts. Should he call the police? Officer Richards’ number was just at his fingertips. Before he knew it, Elise was talking about possible punishments for Stu. ‘Christ, I don’t know Elise. I just want to find him first, okay? Oh God, I need to get to him. Make sure he’s safe. Then after that. . . I need to sit down with him for a serious talk.’

He shook his head. ‘One thing for sure though, he’s not going anywhere near or talking to that Kanen ever again. I’ll personally make sure of it.’

The drive was long and nerve-wracking, but they got there at last. The car was dead on the roadside in exactly the spot which Stu described, by the large Hershey’s billboard. ‘Oh God.’ He was relieved to see the figure of his son, stepping out of the car in front of them. ‘Watch the road!’ A speeding truck whizzed by like a bullet train, nearly taking Stu with it. ‘Jesus Christ!’

Martin threw himself out of his seat and shuffled over to his son in the middle of nowhere. He wondered if Elise was following him out. The whole thing felt like a Bruce Willis movie when the hostages were being exchanged. ‘Stu, are you alright? Are you hurt?’ He checked to see if his son wasn’t missing an ear or a finger or anything.

Stu stood confused, raising an eyebrow. ‘Of course I’m alright, Dad,’ he murmured, ‘The car’s broken down, that’s all.’

‘Do I need to call the police?’

‘W. . . What?’ Stu looked over his Dad’s shoulder and saw Elise. He sighed guiltily. ‘Can you fix it, Dad?’

‘What? . . . I don’t know. Look, we’re leaving, just get your things and get in the car.’ Martin then turned his worried eyes at the unnamed girl. ‘Excuse me, yes you. I’m Stuart’s father. Can we talk?’

Elise
ELISE.jpg

Stu had gotten that sick with alcohol poisoning at what of Ash's party? Elise was shocked, but she was quick to cover up her surprise. After all, it wasn't even that much of a surprise that her sorry excuse for a daughter would've allowed something like that to happen with one of her parties. And from what Elise had heard from Steve when she returned, Kanen had been the one to supply her party with alcohol, and had also inadvertently lost Steve his job.

She tried to ignore how annoyed she was at her daughter and Kanen for trying to kill Stu, instead listening as he continued to talk about Kanen visiting him in the hospital, and mentioning Casper. "I wouldn't be surprise if both boys were being targeted by Kanen." She said bluntly. "He is in the mafia, after all. Surely having a couple impressionable freshman to do drug runs or whatever it is they do would be helpful for him. Perhaps that's what they're doing now. Getting drugs from Boston."

Before the conversation could continue much longer, the car on the side of the road was caught in their sights. Elise was much slower in unbuckling her seatbelt and getting out of the car than Martin had been and at first, she just stood back to watch and see what happened, before she realized her the girl that had been travelling with Stu had been.

"Alaska Vaughn," Elise said in disgust as she stepped forward, narrowing her eyes at the only female Vaughn, and quite possibly the worst one. Although well... at least she had never ruined Ash's life. "Of course Viola's daughter was the one to do this. Tell me, was your mother so disappointed in finding out you're gay that she kicked you out? I mean, I would've kicked you out long before that, of course, but it is whatever." Elise grumbled, turning her disgusted expression from Alaska to Stu.

Her gaze softened a bit as she looked at him. Yeah, having to miss her conference kind of sucked, but at least she had missed it for a good cause. Poor Stu, but at the same time... well it was obvious that he hadn't been brought out here against his will. Had Stu really traveled with a dirty Vaughn by choice, and not because he was forced?

"Stuart, what were you thinking coming all the way out to Boston with someone like Alaska? Do you know what kin of danger you could have been in? She probably has ties to the mafia, and she could have very easily killed you."

Raven narrowed her eyes at the sight of Adriane, last time she'd seen her, well, it wasn't on great circumstances... for Adriane anyway. Her glare softened when she noticed she wasn't her bitchy self. Something felt off as she talked to her daughter, giving Adriane her full attention as she spoke, Raven crossed her arms.

It was obvious she was worried, Raven felt bad for them too. Mason was afraid of exactly this and only made her feel worse. Glancing towards Kanen, a bit shocked honestly that Adriane and him actually wanted her to stay. A buzz came from her phone lifting it up to see a message from Alaska. And as much as Raven liked her, and desperately wanted to be with her at the moment... it wasn't like she was going to leave if Kanen, or... dare she say it. Adriane needed her here.

'Sorry, little bird... something came up. Tomorrow?'

Hesitating for a mere moment before she looked at Adriane, giving her a firm nod. "Yeah. It's cool. I don't have to be home until late anyway." It was true. It was like Nancy was working overtime, maybe in hopes of spending more time with Raven before she left? If that was the case she probably made that difficult considering Raven was okay with finding literally any other reason to not be at home.

"Uh... hope it goes well with Drake." She offered the smallest of smiles her way.

Ava
Adorable Angry Face.gif

Partying sucked. Partying with JJ was slightly better, but Ava still had to slap people a few times who got way too close and in her comfort zone. She was ready to go all ninja on them but for the most part, the drunk teenagers decided to leave before pushing her to that point. Maybe they remembered JJ's party, where Ava had cleared everyone out using a baseball bat.

It took way too long but finally, they grew tired of partying and had retired to the edge of the crowd. Ava was breathing heavily, with her hands on her knees while she was doubled over, trying to catch her breath. She was sweating way too much, and realized yet again that she was way too sweaty. "I haven't... I haven't... danced like that..." she paused for a moment to try and steady her breathing again. "Since... since that one time... I played... Fortnite... and made a kid cry..."

And then a girl was approaching them, so Ava straightened up, and leaned with one hand against the wall, the other still on her hip. "Oh, uh, hi..." she mumbled, albeit rather awkwardly. The girl was pretty, and wasn't she popular? Ava was pretty sure she knew her name, or at least recognized her, but wasn't quite able to put her finger on it. "I'm Ava." Fuck, was she doing this socializing thing right?
