Grace
tumblr_p0mfc10siW1wknnvbo1_r1_400.gif

Grace stared down Alex. "Grace, i ate brownies please." He said staring up at the ceiling. She shook her head confused at the whole situation, and frankly, was just having a difficult time. "You keep saying that! I don't know what food has to do with any of this." She gestured to him and towards the stage. Before shaking her head and deciding to enlist Zach's help instead, giving him strict directions on how to open the curtains, and only do it when she says so. After a few minutes of helping June with her makeup and helping set up the set, even though they had plenty of other people to do it. She decided to do it herself. If you want it done right... well, you know the saying.
When Sawyer came up to her, she looked towards her and continued walking backstage. She had to make sure Jace, and Stu had everything in check. Passing by them with a thumbs up at the sight of them being ready. "Sawyer, I don't have time to talk." Grace sighed, and looked up when the lights dimmed.

That wasn't supposed to happen yet. Who was in charge of lights? She heard the murmurs of the audience not too long later, moving to see a view of the stage and her jaw dropped to see that the curtain was opened, it wasn't because it was opened that it was shocking. It was because Raven and Alaska were making out in the middle of the stage. Amazing. Great. She took a deep breath, turning around. "Zach!" She practically yelled, going up to him with Sawyer closely in tow. "When I say so! you're supposed to open it. Not when..." oh my god. She took another deep breath, inhaling and exhaling, closing her eyes before opening them. "Just. Do. It. When. I say. So." She didn't bother anymore, she even tuned out Sawyer's threats.

Catching sight of Mason and Carter and approaching, they were supposed to be on in a few minutes. What was he doing? "No offense, Mason, really. I love you you're great. I consider you a friend." She gave a wide smile. Which dropped immediately and hit the side of his shoulder. "Why do you look like..." She gestured to him. Bloody, and beaten, and his jacket wasn't even on right! She didn't have time to help, Grace moved to the side of him and adjusted his jacket. "If you aren't on the stage in five minutes. I will personally fight you." She glared harshly, and for the first time, it was a real threat. She doesn't even know what this play was doing to her, but this obviously wasn't Grace.
Instead of waiting for him to finish the conversation. "I lied. We don't have five minutes. Just pretend Rizzo beat the living crap out of Kenickie, cool? Cool." She pushed Mason away from Carter and towards the stage.

"Okay, everyone! Let's go. We were supposed to be on like yesterday, so please. Please get up off the floor if you're needed in the play." Her phone was blowing up with twitter, but she couldn't look at it right now. "Okay, Zach. Open the curtains in a literal 2 minutes. Can you handle that? Yeah? Okay." She didn't wait for an answer as she took her place, and the others did too.

And finally, the play started with the iconic opening of 'Summer Lovin.'

Raven
tumblr_pnbqhxtIeg1tad9smo1_540.gif

Raven glanced towards the audience again, as Alaska dragged her off stage. It might've been a big deal for her, so but Raven didn't really care about everyone knowing. The whole school pictured her as a total whore already, so what was the big deal if she kissed Alaska? People needed to learn how to shut their mouths and that was funny coming from the queen of gossip. But she didn't care. This involved her and Alaska. Even she had to admit that she was surprised at Alaska's words, blinking a few times and giving a firm nod.

Okay, that was weird. Realizing that she was acting weird. What? she was nervous, Looking at her with a beaming smile, she leaned in to peck her on the lips quickly. "It's okay, we'll get over our fears together." Ew, so cheesy. Stop. Stop. "Or... whatever." Clearing her throat and turning towards Demon, Grace, who was literally on the verge of having a mental breakdown. Yelling at Zach, oh. So he was the one who opened the curtain. Raven made a mental note to talk to him later. Besides that. Raven was ecstatic. Right?

No, of course she was. She always did this, overthinking got her no-where. Raven was happy right now. No need to ruin it. "Okay, gotta sing and all that." Giving her a last smile. And taking her actual spot on stage, so ready to get this play over-with. Mostly just excited for her solo to wow everyone.

Maisie
tumblr_pjnoiyvGzy1uz4mb8o7_r1_250.gif

Maisie smiled over at Jesse, he was being so incredibly nice. And she didn't really understand why, why go all out for a stranger you'd just met? Especially one who just sold you weed brownies. Even if she didn't know exactly what she was selling in the first place. It wasn't her fault! Yes, Maisie had committed some crimes already, well, more than enough crimes at this point. "That's... sweet. I don't think anyone's ever... cared that much before." Besides Drake, obviously. But... no, she didn't want to think about Drake. Just forget him. Wandering through the football field for a few minutes. Shrugging at the question. After all of this, Maisie didn't want to miss the musical every had been talking about... plus... if everyone was high...

Who'd want to miss that? "Yeah, let's go watch that mess." She walked with him back to the auditorium. "Thank you." He deserved a real thank you, and she was feeling a little better. Even if she still felt bad about the whole thing. Taking their seats next to each-other, surprised that they got there right as the show was starting. Perfect timing.

Mads

Madison just loved to watch Scar, her smile was gorgeous and he couldn't believe how lucky it was they had both moved to little old Westbook. He followed her gaze as she turned to look at Rae and Chase, he knew Rae missed home, he almost felt like an ass of a brother for not missing home the way she did. As she looked back at him all he could think about was the way she would crinkle her nose. "You know that's cute." He smiled, "The way you crinkle your nose."

He was completely distracted just watching Scarlet smile, talking about how she was happy they had met, happy about all of the people that she had met and made school easier. Seeing her happy brought his mood up from earlier in the day. His eyes were torn away from Scar when she turned to face the stage. "Well then."

He whispered into Scars ear as to not disturb the surrounding people here to watch the play. "I don't remember this, do you think this is Westbrooks rendition?" He hadn't picked up on the fact that this was supposed to be a private moment, not one that the entire audience was meant to see.

tumblr_mtp2tiR0471r78fh8o2_250.gif

Rae could feel her cheek heating up where he had kissed her, placing her hand over it smiling as he made his way back stage. She retook her seat next to Scarlet, being extreme glad that the lights had now dimmed. Rae was a little confused when the curtains started to open, and Chase had barely made it behind them..

'oh this definitely isn't how Grease starts.' She thought to herself, even if Westbrook was extremely progressive, this wasn't how the play started... It was Grease they were seeing right? That's what Chase had told her, or maybe not?

Ash
What a Smile.gif

Wow, what a way to start the play. Ash was staring at Raven and Alaska in surprise, although she was also happy for them. They deserved each other, and honestly, Ash could ship it. She waited until the curtains had drawn closed and Alaska had exited the stage before she headed out to take her starting position.

Of course, along the way she grabbed Raven's hand, a huge smile on my face. "Raven, that was so cute." She said quietly, dragging Raven after her to where their starting spots or whatever were. "Oh my gosh, you and Alaska are adorable together." Ash let go of Raven's hand when they got over the table setup because that's where the first scene takes place.

She then simply smoothed down her dress, and then took her seat, reaching out and dragging Raven down into the seat next to her. "Seriously. Very cute." Damn it, if only she was actually still with Ryder. They could have double dates together! Ash had always wanted to go on double dates, after all, but had never dated anyone at the same time as a friend. Probably because Ash obviously couldn't keep a relationship going long enough to have one, but whatever.

And then the curtains were opening, and the music started playing, and Ash had to push all those thoughts away.

Mason
Staring Off.gif

"Nothing really happened." Mason grumbled at Carter. He moved away from her, trying to ignore her many questions. "Drake spiked the brownies, and I... I got a little mad when I found out." That's all Mason really had time to say before the musical was starting, and he remembered needing to find Grace and ask if Jae could step in.

So before he could even suggest that Jae take his place, Grace was roughly forcing Mason into his jacket, and then adjusting. He waited until Grace was gone, and then looked at Jae with a shrug. "Sorry, dude. I tried." Okay, so he hadn't tried very hard, but he'd seen what happened on stage with Raven and Alaska, and it was easy to tell that Grace was stressed. And the last thing that he wanted to do was make Grace even more annoyed or upset, so he started heading out to the stage.

Well... until he remembered the blood on his hands. Mason glanced around quickly, catching sight of a very high Erin. Oh no. At least the main cast mostly seemed alright. "Hey, babe," Mason called out to her, gesturing for the high girl to come over with a little bit of a flirtatious smile, and... as soon as she did, Mason used her shirt to wipe the blood of his knuckles. "Thanks, kid." He said with a smirk, and then headed out on stage after the rest of the T-birds for the opening song, leaving behind a very disgusted Erin.

Jace
Big Smile.gif

He was nervous but also excited. Jace gave a thumbs up to Grace as she walked by with a smile, and then readjusted his tie, and then the guitar on his lap. He wiggled about in his stool, struggling to get comfortable, and then looked at the music sheet in front of him. This had been the only thing on Jace's mind for weeks. He'd obsessed over this, even dreamed that John Travolta had come to yell at him in his dreams for this to be perfect. Jace had practiced. Jace had watched Grease over and over again. This whole thing had to go off without a hitch, this whole thing had to be perfect. It just... had to.

Jace glanced over at the others in their little band. His eyes only lingered on Stu and Casper for a moment. Apparently, Casper would be flipping Stu's music sheets, which Jace thought was a stupid job. But he liked Casper, and if it made this whole thing between Stu and Jace easier to handle, then he was all for it.

And then, his gaze fell to Oliver. Despite Jace's own nervous jitters, Oliver's confidence managed to actually calm him down a bit. Right. This would be fine, and he played Oliver's earlier words of encouragement over and over in his head, trying to calm himself down and ready himself for what was ahead.

He took in a deep breath, and exhaled slowly as the curtains started to open. Jace's fingers easily glided across the guitar, starting out the beginning music.

Jae’s mouth dropped open when Mason was pushed away by some girl. He wanted to fire off a complaint but the best he could think of was… not something he really wanted to say to a stranger who meant no harm. Sighing, he rubbed at his eyes, not sure what he should do from here. The play was starting and it was starting without him. Maybe he should just go home.

Considering the fact that he spent money on the ticket, Jae figured he should just find his seat and watch. Or sleep. The excitement from earlier was gone and he was drowsy. He wanted to curl under layers of blankets and rest.

God, his emotions were just all over the place tonight. He blamed the weed. And whatever the hell he’d done with Jesse.

That memory came flooding back to him and Jae groaned, feeling the need to slam his head against something. It would do no good to overcomplicate things that couldn’t possibly have meaning. So he shook himself and pressed on, turning to slink back out into the audience.

The lights were off which made it difficult for him to Jae to navigate through the aisle. He stuck to the sides and lowered his head to avoid drawing too much attention from the play. He was able to track down his row and seat number. By the time he reached it, though, he started to feel ill again. The urge for fresh air came to him once more.

Shuffling back into the aisle, Jae continued down and to the entrance. And then he spotted Jesse. Jesse with a girl he’d failed to register earlier. He wanted to nope right back to his seat but his feet were rooted in place. His eyes welled with tears. Weren’t highs supposed to make you feel, well, high? Instead, it was a messy rollercoaster. He was never going to do this again.

“I’m going to die, it’s official. This is what dying feels like,” he whimpered, wrapping his arms around himself. Jae sat down in the middle of the aisle and pulled his knees closed to his chest. Maybe if he just stayed here, curled up into a little ball, all his problems would go away.

The cheery music of the play's begininng did nothing to help.

Mood: Worried| Interacting with: Drake |Mentions: Winona Winona

Brother? What kind of person would hurt their brother like that? Belle was definitely not regretting punching 'Mason' in the face. If she had known that he was his brother she would have kept her ring on so it hurt more. The thought of a bruise in the shape of a cross was hilarious. She was sure that God would agree. "I would do it again! He hurt you, Drake. Therefore he deserved it" she said, placing her hand on his shoulder to steady herself. How long did it take these things to wear off? The world had stopped vibrating but she still felt weird. Like she wanted to cuddle up with someone and give them all of her affection. Maybe Drake? No, Drake was too sad at the moment. Maybe later.

"It's okay though. No one got hurt by it and the words been spread round not to eat the brownies" she said, cringing slightly as he wiped a bit of blood of his face. "it's not like its dangerous and weed brownies taste gross. There is no way a child would have eaten them." she tried to reason again, but he didn't seem like he was in the mood for reason. His eyes look far away and so full of pain it made her want to hug him. She just wished that there was something she could do to help him stop hurting.

Belle didn't feel like she was doing a very good job of making him feel better. Curse her high state for making it difficult to think properly. She would make it up to him later. Then he was declaring that he had given up. "Then we can be given up together" she sat down on the grass and pulled on his arm to join her. "You can continue giving up, but I am going to clean you up before something gets infected," she said, tilting her head to look at him once he sat with her. She pulled open an alcohol wipe and began to carefully wipe the blood away and clean the cuts. Sure she might have been slightly closer than a normal person would have been but she wasn't normal. "Can't have your face all unhappy during our date" she murmured, her eyes meeting his as she smiled. "Your eyes are pretty. Like an ocean" An ocean that she would happily get lost in. When his face was close to hers they were even prettier.

Martin French

Mood: Handsomely vibrant| Interacting with: Elise |Mentions: Winona Winona mikaluvkitties mikaluvkitties

Martin came as fast as he could from the university, but he had been stuck in the Maine traffic and diverted due to an accident on the off-ramp of the highway.

He was wearing his best cologne, which made him smell very expensive indeed and even more sophisticated than he already was (Stu had also stolen some for himself before he left school this morning). Feeling all good about himself today, Martin fumbled his way down to the front rows of the auditorium. He had to step over a few legs to get to where Elise was sitting.

‘Excuse me. . . Thank you. . . Excuse me. . .’

He put his jacket over the back of the chair and plopped down and gave Elise a small but affectionate kiss on the cheek. He had brought her a small box of luxurious liquor filled chocolate which the two of them were going to enjoy, as he just knew the show was going to be a terrific bore.

The show had already begun when he sat down. He always felt Grease was a bit. . . plebeian for his taste. He thought the education system and American culture at large would have been better served had the kids chosen to put on Macbeth or something a little more. . . refined. Anyway, Grease was still good entertainment after a long day's work.

When Martin spotted his son in the unlit part of the stage, he smiled proudly to himself. Even though Stu looked as clueless and lost in front of the keyboard as a damsel in distress, he seemed to be managing all right. It was nice seeing Jace and Stu jamming and playing some music together. Stu hadn’t told him about how things were going between him and Elise’s son, so Martin had assumed that everything was fine and dandy. Which was all very good. Casper was there too. He seemed a nice kid, and Martin had personally met him when he came by their apartment on Halloween night. Martin was happy that his son had found better companions at school than the ones that irresponsibly put him in hospital not all that long ago.

The professor was in an optimistic mood. He clasped Elise’s hand as they watched the show together, like the cute, 'teenage' lovers that they were. ‘You look beautiful today,’ he whispered in her ear, as their fingers interlocked. Both their children were enjoying themselves on stage, and they were enjoying chocolates from the 'comfort' of their metal chairs. Everything was so heavenly and perfect. It would be a shame if something were to happen to it.

Weed in the brownies? Jace watched his Twitter notifications with a muted, mildly entertained surprise. Indeed it seemed the sweet chocolate in his lap had been poisoned. Maybe there was some wisdom to never taking free food from a stranger. With a smirk he put together a quick response post before looking back down at the devious treats. What was he going to do with them now? He didn't really want to have his first high, especially in the middle of a room filled with faculty and parents. Although to be fair it probably wouldn't matter who saw him. A lot of people had undoubtedly purchased the cursed deserts, before long the auditorium would likely turn into an oven. Filled with baked people.

Jace reopened the clock app on his phone, figuring he'd need it. He was almost guaranteed to get his first point of data before the night was over. In fact just then something else went wrong. Probably. There was no way to be sure, but it was a safe bet to assume that Raven and Alaska didn't want the rest of the world to see them kissing. The sight caught him off guard, since when were they a thing? It wasn't really all that surprising though. He had trouble imagining anyone not being into Raven, and Alaska was undeniably pretty. Jace saw no reason why they couldn't get together. Although it seemed some of the more traditional parents in the audience disagreed with him. Not that he minded much, he just smirked at the impromptu nature of the girls' unexpected reveal. They looked like a pair of deer caught in headlights. It was cute. Let the more boring people voice their grievances, he didn't care enough to actually confront them the way that Alaska's coach did.

A burgundy clad thumb had hovered above his phone through the whole ordeal, ready to mark the time of Westbrook's latest disaster. However it didn't fall quite yet. Raven and Alaska had thrown shit at the wall with their off script romance, but they managed to miss the fan. Their shit had stuck. It seemed Westbrook's rendition of Grease was still on schedule. Indeed the curtains lifted a couple minutes later, heralding the play's true opening scene. Hopefully. Jace quickly put his phone to sleep, not wanting the light of his screen to blind everyone else in the room. As much as he wasn't interested in the play, part of him was a little excited to see a certain blonde cheerleader perform. A certain blonde cheerleader whom he was pretty sure had the starring role. Probably. He didn't actually know anything about Grease. Still he was eager to see at least a little bit of the girl's acting.

Come to think of her, he hoped that Ash hadn't taken a bite from Eden's forbidden brownie. That'd be a disaster.

Drake
Something Is Wrong With Me.gif

Okay, so maybe he was a little glad that she had punched Mason. He'd had it coming, and Drake wasn't much of a fighter, or... usually he wasn't. Obviously, it kind of depended on his mood for the day but today, he was far from that. All he'd wanted to do when Mason had been punching him was fade from existence. It would be better that way, right? If he just disappeared from Westbrook, from everyone's lives. All he did was cause chaos, and he was so fucked up.

Drake was a little nervous as he hesitantly took a seat next to her, wincing as the alcohol wipes burned some of the cuts on his face. And then Belle was calling his eyes pretty, and she was so close, and Drake's breath caught in his throat. His thoughts drifted back to Maisie, back to when he'd first met her and had complimented her mismatched eyes. But... it felt wrong to be thinking of Maisie right now, when he was here with Belle, who still stupidly wanted to go on a date with him.

"Wait... really? Why would you want to go on a date with me? And you were serious?" Drake had never been on an official date, so this was all... new to him. New and scary, and Drake didn't know what to say or how he was supposed to behave. After all, his "dates" usually ended up being stolen from Mason. "You, uh... you have really pretty... everything." He replied, his eyes searching her face, taking in every inch as his trembling subsided and he was finally able to think clearly.

Satisfied that Drake's face was cleaned Belle shifted so that she was sitting a normal distance away. He kinda looked like he was starting to feel a bit better? Well at least he wasn't yelling about giving up and that he was horrible. Making him feel at least slightly better made her feel all fuzzy inside. Well, it was either that or the weed. She wasn't really sure what she was feeling but if it was a colour it would be a swirled up rainbow. Drake's feeling colour was probably blue because he still looked kinda upset. They probably weren't going to end up watching the play. Which was a shame because it was probably going to fall apart. Then again watching that would probably make him feel worse so maybe it was for the best.

Then he started talking about positive things which made her happy. "Duhhh. Why would I say something and not mean it?" she asked, tilting her head slightly. Were the people here really so mean that they fake asked people out? If that was the case then she was glad that she had him now. He complimented her which made her giggle. "You're not used to flirting. It's cute" she mused, resting her head on his shoulder.

"At my home when you see a cute guy you ask them out. Must be different here? Then again I guess this is my home now" she kind of frowned a little at the last part but quickly replaced it with a smile. Even if she missed her friends going back to her old home wouldn't change things. They were dead now. Her fingers ran over the big ugly scar that went down her side. The one that she had gotten from the crash. Hopefully, their cheer uniforms weren't two pieces because she didn't want people to see it and think she was ugly. "Drake? Do you think scars are ugly?" she asked

Drake
Something Is Wrong With Me.gif

He was starting to feel better, although he tried to keep his eyes off of the now bloody alcohol wipes that she had piling up. It was crazy, for all the pain that Drake inflicted upon himself and the blood never once bothered him. But seeing it now, caused by Mason and without him having expected it or popped the proper painkillers, well... Drake was not feeling the best in this situation. It made him woozy, and the pain in his face was almost too much to handle.

Usually, he'd never take a pill in front of someone he barely knew. Or anyone, really, for fear of them asking about it. But hey, Drake could always lie, right? So he pulled one of the prescription bottles out of his pocket, making sure to cover the label with his hand so if Belle glanced, she wouldn't see that it said Mason Rivera and not his own name. "Sorry," he mumbled as he untwisted the cap, dropping one... nah, two, pills into his hand, before popping them in his mouth. "Gotta take my medication a couple times a day." Which actually wasn't a total lie, and Drake was smooth with his lying, thanks to years of... well, lying.

After he'd replaced the bottle in his pocket, and Belle had leaned her head against his shoulder, Drake felt as if a weird blanket of calm had fallen over him. He'd never actually felt this at peace for, least of all with a girl leaning against him. Well, except for maybe Alaska, but she wasn't really a girl in his eyes anymore. She was just his best friend, fair and simple. His cheeks burned a little red when she talked about the dating nonsense. "Well, like, people go on dates, just... not usually with me."

And then she was asking about scars, and Drake shifted under her head a little bit, before replying without hesitation. "No, of course not. Everyone has scars, and they just... define you, y'know?" Although as he said it, his fingers lingered across his arms once more, and then he pulling down his hoodie sleeves, just to be safe. Yes, scars weren't ugly, but that didn't mean they weren't embarrassing, or would cause alarm if seen. So yeah, he'd stick with this hoodie and hiding his own.

"Hey, Belle, thanks for coming after me tonight." The only person in the whole school who'd come after him was some girl he hardly even knew. Granted, Drake had ruined all of his other relationships, and burned the bridges of anyone else who cared. Well, other than Alaska, but... she was always too busy with her own drama to worry about him. And that was fine. It was better this way, if Drake was on his own. Less people got hurt this way. "I was... well, I don't really know, but I was definitely going to do things that I would've regretted." In a heartbeat, and part of Drake still wanted to go do those things.

He hadn't much time to speak more to Casper, but noted that his presence was simply to aid Stu. That was alright with him, the more the merrier. He had given him a small nod before it was time for them to get situated and take their places. He stayed, sat comfortably with his legs slightly straddling the snare drum and each foot placed on the petals of the hi hat and the bass drum. For a second, Jace looked over to him and he offered an optimistic grin. He was going to do great as long he didn't let those nerves lock him up, Oliver knew. The boy figured it would be good to follow his own advice, too. With a roll of his shoulders and twirl of his drum sticks, he watched as places were taken and readied to begin. Not too long later, it was time to perform, and let his days of practicing the familiar songs play out on the drum set in front of him.

She had never been good at taking compliments. For some reason, she always became awkward, trying to figure out an appropriate way to accept them. So, when he commented on how she would wrinkle her nose, Scarlet gave a soft exhale from her nose and shook her head, looking ahead at the stage. The corners of her mouth turned up anyway, and she tucked her hair behind her ear. "My grandma said my face would get stuck like that if I didn't stop," She whispered to the handsome boy with a gentle laugh. Her eyes shifted back to look at him when she realized he didn't understand that the play actually hadn't started, and that Alaska's kiss was definitely not supposed to have been so public.

She smiled at his slight obliviousness, eyes going soft when she looked up at him. "Nope. I don't think that was supposed to happen at all, Goldie Locks," She teased. Scar gave his knee a small pat before glancing back over to Rae, who had taken a seat back beside her once Chase had disappeared. "Are you excited to see Chase act? I pinned him as more of a hockey guy," The brunette admitted, also keeping her voice down before the play's music started up and the play actually started.

This was it. After long weeks of getting familiar with the tech booth, it was finally showtime. Darius ran himself through the paces as he made sure the lights were working as planned. He couldn't hide his excitement. His first time doing something for the school's Drama Club, and he knew he would do his best to make the actors look good. He couldn't quite tell what was going on on stage from the tech booth, but he knew exactly when his cues were.

June
June was still shaken up over what happened, but she didn’t want all of her hard work to be for nothing. Therefore, she ran on stage and danced while glancing at Alaska and Raven. How are they acting okay? Wait... maybe they had those brownies? Yeah. It makes sense. Alaska sleeps with guys when she’s drunk, she might kiss girls when she’s high.

The preformance kept on going despite it being... not good. June seemed to be one of the few who wasn’t high and kept on beat despite her feeling horrible. When it came time to do Beauty School Dropout, she walked out on stage and sat on the couch. A smile plastered on her face as the guy sang to her. But her eyes kept drifting away from everyone, probably because she was willing herself not to think about everything that has happened. Yes. Yes. This will go find. No. No. Before she could stop herself, she turned away from everyone as she slowly started to cry.

The guy was singing with all his muster while the ditzy Frenchy was crying and looking away from the audience. She wanted to get away. She didn’t want to be on stage. Before the song really ended, June slipped away and behind the curtain once more wiping her eyes quickly. God. There’s no way no one saw her.

Raven
tumblr_pnbqhxtIeg1tad9smo1_540.gif

Raven didn't know what to say to the blonde, instead she glanced at the other silently asking Ash what was going on. Deciding to just leave it be and get ready for her solo. Pulling out her phone and scrolling through her alerts, her jaw dropped as she looked at the tweets. There was weed in the brownies? Looking towards the rest of the cast, she wasn't sure who was high. But at the moment it didn't matter, she didn't have enough time to. It probably would be a good idea to tell Grace about it, but... she thought it would just make it worse. So... she shut up and went on stage.

Taking a deep breath as all the extras took their places. Erin didn't seem... as Erin-ish, but she thankfully delivered her lines, and Raven, Rizzo glared at her and gripped the book tighter in her hands while the girls made their way away from her and off the stage. The music started playing 'There Are Worse Things I Could Do' and it was fairly easy for Raven to get into character, if there was anyone she connected with most in Grease, it was Rizzo. She was perfect for the part, and unlike the acting tips people had given to her, she didn't push those thoughts away, instead having that same exact confidence, yet still keeping that sorrow she was supposed to have in the scene. Doing her small lines with Kenickie as he stormed off.

Leaning against the wall as she finished her last lyrics, exactly like the scene she'd watched many times. Only breaking character when the lights were off of her, and the music came to an end, she smiled and caught Jace's eye as right before the curtain closed again and threw him a wink. Glad enough that he actually came. Everyone had their parents or siblings to come and see them preform, but... Raven didn't really have anyone. It wasn't like she could make Nancy drop everything to see her, or bring her Abuela who'd probably just be more confused than anything. She wouldn't admit it. But it meant a lot to her to see someone she actually knew in the crowd.

Walking her way to Mason and smiling brightly. "Eh, Rivera? Not too bad." She nudged him. "Okay, I'm kidding. I was amazing. Obviously." Gesturing to herself, and after a few moments her smile faded, wanting to ask about what exactly happened to him. But before she could Grace cut their conversation off before she could get any questions about it in.

After a few more scenes they'd done. It was nearing the ending of the play, which meant that Mason and Raven needed to be on stage, taking her spot on stage and waiting until the curtain opened up. Waiting until their part came up, while Mason Kenickie, walked up to her saying his lines. Raising and eyebrow and replying back with her own. Rolling her eyes and walking a little away from him. "Forget it, it was a false alarm." Turning around to see his reaction. "I'm not pregnant!" She grinned over at him.

Walking close to him as he started talking. "If that's a line, I ain't bitin." She stared him down. And was taken aback at his words, but her grin didn't fade. "Wow..." Looking to the floor for a split second until she made eye-contact with him. "I don't think anyone's ever looked at me like that before." Rizzo smiled, she quietly leaned in closer. "Hey, are you okay?" She asked referring to his face that was... well, not as good-looking as Kenickie's supposed to be. Waiting until he replied before she continued playing into character, a small laugh came out of her at his lines before she pulled him into a hungry kiss.

Grace
tumblr_p0mfc10siW1wknnvbo1_r1_400.gif

As the first song they'd did ended, Grace followed everyone backstage and stared at them in shock. "What the hell was that?" She gestured to Ash. Mainly asking her, and looking towards literally everyone else for an answer. They'd rehearsed this many, many, times. So were they less than average? She shook her head and put a hand up, not expecting to get an answer out of any of them. "Just... please pretend to actually try." Her phone was going off again, with a heavy sigh she pulled it out and turned it off. Twitter can hold for one night. Surely, nothing serious would happen. It's twitter.

"Okay, Raven, Mason, do your thing." She gestured to the two Riveras. And leaned against a chair waiting for them, to actually do their part. Just hoping that this wouldn't be that bad either. Rubbing at a headache that had started a long time ago.

After a few songs, that... weren't that great... and Grace honestly didn't know why Ash wasn't y'know... being Ash. She's literally the best actress, and she's off. Grace was upset, but she didn't have enough time to talk to her about it.

Making her way on stage when scenes near the end came up, and it was time for her and Sawyer's scene, once she stepped into place her heart dropped. Oh no, oh no. She forgot to tell her mother about the kiss. No, no, this wasn't good. And Grace wasn't excited for the aftermath of it, and it was written all over her face. Quickly squashing her feelings down when it came to her lines. Watching Rizzo and Kenickie's part, and sighing. "I wish someone could look at me like that." Waiting for Sawyer's lines, and to be pulled into the kiss that she wasn't ready for whatsoever. But... the show must go on... right?

Oh wait I got another good one” Belle said, turning her head to look at him. They were now laying on the grass as they exchanged stories. Well it was mainly Belle seeing as she was a stupider child and got into much more accidents than Drake had. It was nice just laying and laughing with him, especially since the weed had finally seemed to wear off. They had been out there for hours while the play went on inside. Part of her wondered how badly it was going and wanted to see. But the other part of her kind of wished that she could freeze time so they could stay in this moment, happy. But then again she was really looking forward to their date tomorrow. Would he take her somewhere romantic? She hoped so.

Okay so when I was little I had a Staffie called Shala. They are quite strong dogs” she said, talking with her hands quite a bit. “We were playing and I wanted to be a dog too. So I thought it was a brilliant idea to hook the bit of the lead you hold behind my front teeth. Just so I could walk on all fours like a dog” she laughed a little at herself. God she was so smart when she was younger. “So I went one way trying to pull her along with just my front teeth and she ran the other." she paused to cringe at herself, how had she ever thought that was a good idea? Children were stupid but she was more than regular child stupid. "I Snapped my front teeth in two, straight across the middle. God I screamed my little heart out” she explained, placing her hand on top of his as she laughed. "God I was one stupid child. I guess I'm still a little dumb but I'm glad I grew out of being that dumb"

I know I already said this but I’m gonna say it again because I was high” Belle said, becoming serious for a moment. Her answer to his comment earlier about going after him was less than satisfactory. She had mumbled something about him being cute and not wanting to let him be murdered by his brother. Which totally wasn't appropriate in that context and she wanted to punch her high self for being an idiot. "I meant it when I said you're stuck with me. My high self may have chased after you because I thought you were about to be murdered" she laughed, shaking her head a little. God she was never eating another brownie again. "But after talking to you for the past hours I am starting to care for you, so i would totally punch your brother again if he was mean" she joked, smiling sheepishly over at him. She also couldn't believe she had just punched Masons brother, she didn't regret it because he was a dick. Oh who was she kidding normal her would have punched him to. "I think we connect well and I am excited to see where this goes. Sorry if this is a bit forward I'm just used to being forward back home" she admitted, fiddling with her ring out of nervousness. She wasn't sure how he would react to what she said. Back home it was different you just said what you thought because everyone was looking to find their life partner. They didn't want to waist time with little flings and meaningless relationships.

Mason
Staring Off.gif

Raven was amazing, there was no doubt about it. After he'd finished his lines, Mason stood at the edge, watching as she finished her little solo with the whole 'There Are Worse Things I Could Do.' He couldn't move his eyes off of her, and then a faint little smirk came onto his face as she exited, teasing him about being perfect. Mason just scoffed and rolled his eyes. "It was alright," he teased, and then bumped her with his shoulder. "Kidding. That was amazing, Rivera."

And before he knew it, they were near the end of the musical. Even with having broken his leg just a few months ago, Mason somehow managed to keep up with the others with all the dancing nonsense. Yes, he felt like an idiot out there, but at least he could kinda forget about the embarrassment whenever he was with Raven. Rizzo and Kenickie were so much like them already that it barely even felt like they were acting at times. And somehow, he remembered all the lines. Score.

Soon, he was heading out onto the stage, his hands shoved into his pockets while he started talking with "Rizzo" about the whole pregnancy business. He watched as she walked away, saying her lines about it being a false alarm. "Okay, well the offer still stands." He said, pulling his hands out of his pocket as he followed after her, pausing as she turned towards him. "It ain't no line." Mason said, his eyes meeting Raven's, and asking "What?" before she said no one had ever looked at her like that before, and okay, maybe at this point, it fell less like acting. And Mason had to remind himself that they were just Kenickie and Rizzo, and this was all just a musical. A little smile came onto his face and he moved closer to her. "Is that a yes?"

And then she was asking if he was okay, and for a moment Mason was confused until he realized she was talking about his eye. "It's nothin'. Just a little fight. But I'm better now that I've got you." And then Raven was pressing her lips against his, and Mason may have gotten into the kiss a little too much, his hands falling to her hips while he kissed her back. And then he picked her up, and remembered that they were supposed to get out of the center of the stage, but... damn it, Mason wasn't about to put her down and break the scene. So he kinda just... carried her off to the side, and then let go of her once Grawyer started their stuff.

Drake
Looking Down.gif

It was cute listening to her stupid childhood stories. Mason had always kept a super close eye on Drake, so he'd never even broken a bone. Well... maybe his nose a couple times, but they never went to the hospital for it. Their mother had always said "You'll be fine." For a while, his nose had been crooked, but the second time he broke it set it straight once more. God, he wished he'd had a more normal childhood like Belle did. "That sounds so fun." He said with a laugh. "I never wanted to be a dog, though. I'm scared of dogs." He admitted. Yes, after getting attacked by one as a kid, Drake had kept his distance from all of them. Big, small, fluffy, cute -- whatever they were, Drake would scream and panic if one even looked at him. Yep. He was scared.

He turned his head in the grass to look over at Belle, smiling faintly as she started speaking. They'd only known each other a few hours, but she already liked him this much... wow. Drake honestly had no idea how to respond, or what to say, and all he could really do was smile faintly as she spoke. Plus, well, the painkillers had kicked in, and now Drake just felt fully relaxed. He laughed when she mentioned being worried that he might be murdered. "Nah, Mason does that like once a month. He wouldn't actually murder me." And okay, that was a lie. This was the first time Mason had ever beaten him up in a non-accidental way. As in, like, most of the other beatings had taken place while the two boys had been playing growing up.

"I like you, too, Belle. But uh... this is embarrassing." His cheeks turned a faint shade of pink before he looked away from Belle, and up at the sky once more. Drake nervously laced his fingers together and placed them on his chest. "I've never actually like, dated anyone before or kissed anyone. Yes, I know, I look like a total stud, but I am a lip virgin." It was an obvious joke, one which he cemented by laughing. Obviously Drake wasn't a total stud, hence his lip virginity.

Belle’s eyes widened in horror. Mason beat him up like that every month or so? He said it so casually. No wonder he had to take medication, he must have been in so much pain if he got beaten up like that every month.“Is this like a normal sibling thing?” She asked, her eyes still wide with horror. Weren’t siblings supposed to love and protect each other? That’s how she had always imagined it had would be like to have a sibling. Then again she didn’t really know anything about sibling relationship due to the fact that she was severely lacking in that department. “Sounds like I have a few punches to catch up on” she joked, playfully cracking her nuckles then wincing. The hand that she had used to punch Mason with was quite sore now. It was even a little bruised in a couple places.

When Drake confessed to liking her as well a faint blush rose to Belle’s cheeks. He was so sweet she couldn’t help but have a crush on him. How could anyone not? Sure he might have a few issues but everyone did. She certainly had more issues than a normal person thanks to her crash. Part of her wanted to talk about it with Drake but it was too fresh in her mind. She hadn’t spoken about it to anyone, it was too horrifying to remember. Maybe it would make him feel better about his own issues but she would wait a little longer. She didn’t want to freak him out with her mental issues.

Belle giggled softly but not at him. It was more his use of the word lip virgin. “It’s not a big deal really. I’ve only been with a few people” she said, shifting into a sitting position before grabbing his arms and pulling him into one as well. She sat so she was facing him a smile playing on his lips. “Besides I have a purity ring and most people find that lame” she pointed out, holding out her hand so he couldn’t get a better look at her ring. A simple silver cross within a heart with true love waits engraved on its sides. “If you wanted we could fix the problem right now if you want? Unless you wanted to wait. It’s up to you but I would happily kiss you” she rambled, the blush on her cheeks darknering a bit more. Oh god she probably shouldn’t have said that. He was going to say no and think she was weird.

Drake

Drake shrugged. "I guess so. I don't know. He's a good brother, though. Usually." Well, there was no way that Drake could deny that. Mason had given up too much throughout the years so that Drake could have a better life, at least until Ariana had come along. Now, his energy and time was spent more taking care of her, and Drake was fine with that. He was practically an adult at this point. Anyway, his thoughts didn't last much longer before Belle was sitting up, and... wait.

It took him a moment to fully register that she had just offered to kiss him. His cheeks turned an even brighter shade of red. Drake leaned forward, carefully taking her hand in his as he looked at the purity ring. "I think that's really cool." He said, smiling and letting her hand go before he leaned back, placing his hands behind him to prop himself up. "I would take you up on that kissing offer. Like, you're really cute, but... I want my first kiss to be special, you know? Like, I want it to be with a person I really, really like, and after a really fun date or something. Something that makes us both happy, and then we're both laughing and enjoying each other's company, and then I would kiss them and it would be amazing." Although it couldn't really think of any date that would mean that much to him.

"Plus, I don't really care." Drake added with a shrug. "I have had many kisses on the cheek." He said, rather proud about that. "But... I'm cool with not kissing anyone on the lips until it's someone super special. I've waited this long, what's a little longer?" Well, it was true, and Drake wanted to have something nice when he kissed his first person.

"Anyway, enough about that. Uhh... what do you want to do for that date tomorrow? I... I don't actually have anything in mind." Drake had just been trying to flirt her up because Maisie was flirting with Jesse, and... well, who knew what he was thinking? "Like, tell me what you like to do so I know where to take you."

Sawyer
Sawyer.gif

The conversation earlier with Kate had already pissed Sawyer off, and then finding out about the weed brownies just made it worse. But every time she tried to tell Grace, Grace just ignored her and kept going around, ordering people about. Finally, Sawyer had just given up on trying to tell her what was happening and instead, she had to watch the shit show that was this musical. Everyone was off, and Grace's frustration was obvious. But it wasn't the... worst thing... kind of.

It didn't feel like long until they were drawing the musical to a close. Sawyer stood out on the stage, watching as Mason and Raven did their part and then moved away and now, it was here. It was time for the stage kiss that she had been waiting for forever. Hell, when they'd first agreed to this, Grace and Sawyer hadn't even been a public relationship. And now, she was going to get to kiss her perfect girlfriend out on stage, in front of this huge crowd of people. And mainly, in front of Kate. Yes, Sawyer was most excited to be able to rub this in Kate's stupid, homophobic, bitchy face. Best part of the night.

And then the lights were on them, and Grace was saying her lines. Sawyer could tell how nervous she was about having to kiss out on stage, but it was just a stage kiss... kind of. "Well why don't you give me a chance?" Sawyer asked, stepping forward and drawing Grace's attention to her. And then Grace was agreeing, and then it was time for it. The stage kiss, and damn it if Sawyer wasn't going to make this good to rub it in all Kate's face, and everyone else's.

Sawyer leaned forward, grabbing Grace's face in her hands and kissed her. She didn't move back right away, instead moving her hands down from Grace's face to her hips, kissing her for longer than was necessary before finally breaking away, a huge grin on her face as she took Grace's hand and led her to the side for the end.

Neck Tie

DnEQw7v.gif

Neck Tie had done OK with the music so far. While he was waiting for his next cue, he kicked Casper’s shoe and then showed him the M&Ms he had hidden in his pocket. He gave him some before craning his head over the sheet music, squinting in the spotlight, trying to see if he could spot Elise and his dad in the audience. But the light was too bright in his eyes. Suddenly, everything was white. . .

* * *

‘You need to run up to it, Tom!’

‘What!?’

‘I said – YOU NEED TO RUN UP TO IT!’

‘What!? I can’t hear you!’

‘Nevermind then! Just. Kick. The. Ball!’ Stu positioned himself between the goal posts and clapped his gloves together. Tom kicked, and the ball struck the blond boy in the face. ‘OW!!!’

Then Tom came panting up to his friend, looking as alarmed as a rabbit and as pale as death. ‘Are you OK?!’

Stu was lying on his back on the grass. He pinched the bridge of his nose painfully. ‘I wasn’t ready, was I?!’ he groaned.

‘You told me to kick the ball. . .’

‘Not in the face!’

Stu laughed at his own misfortune and Tom was relieved. They watched a plane go overhead together, from cloud to cloud. It was a windy afternoon, one of the many he’d spent helping his new friend with his football. Stu didn’t mind that Tom had kissed him on the cheek, because he saw how happy the smaller boy was to have done it. He did tell him not to do it again, though, or else he might hit him. That was a lie. Stu would never have hit him, because had never hit anybody in his life. He wasn’t even sure if he knew how.

But then the next day came, and the older kids tripped Stu at the gate. The blond boy fell face first on the concrete, books flying out of his bag. ‘What’s the matter, poof?’ Apparently Tom had been going around telling everyone about the kiss. ‘Where’s your boyfriend mate? . . . Stewie and Tommie, sitting in a tree. . .’ Tom came running to his aid and threw his arms around him, causing a tremendous uproar in the crowd. Stu felt humiliated and he pushed the boy away. ‘Get away from me, you poof!’ Tom fell backwards and cried. ‘Just leave me alone and don’t talk to me again!’ Stu got what he wished for, and the boys never talked again.

* * *

If Alaska and Raven kissing on the stage didn’t make him feel horrible enough about himself, Grace and Sawyer kissing finally broke him. He felt like the worst human being in the world. But disaster might have been averted if he was just a broken boy, moping about by himself. But he was a broken pianist, too. . . and it was his turn to play.

They had reached the most important part of the music and the climax of the show. It was the moment of truth. Jace had warned him about this passage in particular. But Neck Tie had missed his cue; he put his hand on the keyboard and struck the wrong chord. The boy panicked. He struck another chord. Woops. That was wrong too. His heart pounded rhythmically against his chest. The same couldn’t be said about the music, which no longer had a rhythm to it. Third time’s a charm. Neck Tie hit the wrong chord again. Finally, the music collapsed on itself. The band, him, Jace, Oliver, came to a stop entirely, and a collective gasp went about the audience. He froze. There was a final ghastly squeak from the amplifier, which echoed through the auditorium. The show’s dying last breath. . .

Jace
Very Annoyed.gif

Yeah, the musical had basically sucked. Ash was completely off, and the music was less than stellar thanks to the consistent failure of Stu. Still, it wasn't enough to knock Jace off of key, and Oliver still sounded amazing. But, well, it did get under his skin. They had been practicing for so long, and Jace had put so much time in trying to get Stu ready for this before the whole "your dad is dating my mom" thing completely ruined their friendship. And yet, he still sucked.

They were finally at the last scene. Jace yawned as Mason and Raven did their thing, then Grace and Sawyer kissed... he was mouthing the words to himself as they spoke because yes, Jace had watched the movie so many times over that he had practically memorized the script. But as they started to play the music, something went horribly wrong.

Stu's wrong chords, his very, very wrong chords soon led to Jace messing up, and Oliver, and finally the whole little band came to a horrific ending. And Jace felt as if he might throw something, but instead, he just got up from his stool, and leaned his guitar against it before he turned his angry gaze to Stu.

"What the hell?!" He snapped, walking over until he was right in front of the smaller freshman. This was it. Jace was pissed off. "You lied about playing, and you obviously lied about practicing. What the hell is that?! This was the end. The finale. And you ruined this like you ruin everything else!" Jace hated what he was saying, but he couldn't stop as the words just kept tumbling out, and finally, Jace just reached forward and lightly shoved Stu. "What is wrong with you?!"

Belle smiled softly, tilting her head a little as she listened to him talk. God, he was cute, his bright red cheeks also helped. The way that he was so full of hope of what his first kiss would be like. She remembered being like that... Then it turned out to be with a less than stellar person who had tried to shove their tongue down her throat. Yeah, not fun. Then again she was still holding onto hope with the whole virginity thing. Saving it for her true love after they were married. Some of the girls from her old school had taken theirs off as soon as they were legal. But she wasn't going to be like that. She would stay true to her promise to wait. If she expected people to be respectful about her wanting to wait with her virginity. Then she would be respectful of Drakes lip virginity.

"I get it. Honestly, I wished I had waited a bit longer. What you're describing sounds nice" She admitted, flopping onto her back so she could stare up at the clouds again. "I just offered because when you were talking about your quote on quote lip virginity. It sounded like you wanted it over and done with" she said. At least it didn't make things weird. He didn't seem like the type to make things weird. "But if you ever bring it up again I'll blame it on the brownies" she teased, reaching out to poke his shoulder gently. Maybe she might try his brownies another time in a more controlled environment. They were legal because it isn't bad, right? She didn't remember anything in the bible about it.

"You're terrible. Not even trying to think up something for our date" Belle joked before bursting into a small fit of giggles. What did she like? She might as well just shoot out some ideas and see what they both thought would be nice. "Are there any nice water holes? We could go swimming. Hmm, or we passed a Strawberry farm on the way here we could drive out and go berry picking. I have an old school polaroid that we could use to take pictures. Then maybe head back to mine and I could utterly destroy you at Mario Cart. I also saw some flyers for a carnival. I do love playing those trap games" she suggested a few things that could be fun for them to do. All that she considered would be great dates. "So summary. Swimming, Berry picking, Videogames, Photography, Carnival games and my car. Is a few things I like. What about you?" For a split second, she wondered if any of those date ideas would fall under what he would consider a really great date. But she pushed the thought from her mind, he didn't know her well enough yet to like her.

Neck Tie

TEMuMqI.gif

Neck Tie was horrified at the disaster he’d created. After the theme song crashed and burnt, the whole auditorium turned so silent you could hear a pin drop. Neck Tie’s hands trembled in its hovering position over his keyboard. He slowly withdrew them to his lap where they stayed and hid in shame. Then he felt the weight of everyone’s stare bearing on him from all directions. His fight with Mason on the football pitch was one thing. This was another. This was worse.

He hadn’t just embarrassed himself, like normal. This time he’d managed to embarrass almost everyone else along with him, the whole cast and crew, and Dad, and Elise too. . . He dreaded to think what others were thinking of him right now. Some laughter was already engulfing the student section of the audience. Neck Tie was terrified. He turned to Casper briefly, as if to plead for some understanding from his only ally and friend on the stage, but his gaze soon fell away from the black-haired boy as he felt ashamed even to look at Casper. Hell, not even Casper could save him from the humiliation he had invented for himself.

And if all that wasn’t bad enough, Jace had stormed up to him and had pretty much exploded at him. Neck Tie sprang from his seat instinctively like an animal primed to defend its scrawny self. Now beanie boy was yelling at the top of his lungs, spit flying at his face. Everyone could hear it. Jace was yelling something about how he was always ruining everything for everyone. Which was the truth.

But although true, Jace’s words hurt him more than he could have imagined. Neck Tie was choking tears at that point. Then Jace shoved him, and Neck Tie didn’t know what he was doing. He so he shoved back. The shoving went back and forth. They pushed each other scuffling into the keyboard, where Casper sat. Neck Tie swung around, and bouncing in the other direction they fell crashing together into the chair. Jace’s beloved guitar had been leaning against it. That instrument came crashing to the floor and met a violent end, when both boys tumbled right over it with a crashing noise. Underneath them they heard the strings split from wood as the whole neck separated from the body. Neck Tie squirmed free from Jace’s hold. He got up in desperation and stumbled backwards drunkenly into the middle of the stage, into the limelight, where their battle was set to be decided.

Oliver
(Sawyer's dad)

Well, that had gone about as good as he had expected. Oliver knew that with all the kids who had never been in a play before doing this thing it was bound to be pretty bad. But, this was a whole lot worse than what he had expected. He felt himself feeling a little sorry for his daughter, who had done pretty damn well herself, but one or two people couldn't save a play. Oliver kind of sank down in his seat and turned to Viola with a kind of nervous grin. Suddenly there was the sound of a crash and a boy had made his way onto center stage. Oliver wanted to hide his face in his hands for fear of what was about to happen. God curse this school. The place was a cesspool if he ever saw one.

"Oh, dear." Everything was suddenly so incredibly hilarious that he couldn't help but let out a deep laugh, "That was....so funny." A grin spread on his face and his laugh turned light as he continued, barely able to get a breath out between. He had no idea what was happening but it was completely out of character. Oliver was practically rolling on the floor at this point and everything was a little wonky. He had to close his eyes to keep the light from hurting his head but he just kept right on laughing.

"Oh god, poor kids. Poor, poor kids. Ah!" Oliver could literally not breath. His mouth opened and closed trying to gasp for air but all that came out was even more laughter. At this point his face was as red as a tomato and he couldn't care less.
