      THE PROMISED TRIAL
For as long as Ezon has been existing, even before the time everything started to go downhill, there were leaders and their folks. Though once every territory clashed against one another, they found themselves sooner or later in an agreement. In order to prevent a leader-monopole and give others the chance of change, the founding fathers and mothers of Enzos built a capital city. Underneath this city lays a lair of despair and yet a little bit of hope. The lair holds three challenges for the chosen champions. No one can temper with them, or can they?
For the past centuries this was the way the Houses chose their new leader. But for three hundred years now, all the champions had failed the trials and lost their lives to it. A group of rebels took it upon themselves to bring the champions of this year's trial back alive and crown them to be the new governors.

Who are you in this world?

A rebel? Who is amidst the preparations for the trial? Or who is stationed outside and provides their comrades with either information or the needed supplies?
Or are you one of the champions? Ready to try and fight for your people?
Perhaps, though, you do not want a new leader and bloom in the mercy of the current governor and want to keep it that way?

      WORLD INFO
Ezon is a country consisting of four territories. Taland- with the House of Ignis, Choria with the House of Idem, Shul with the House of Sanguis and Asolas with the House of Aether.

Each of those houses are lead by a governor. There might be freedom and such, but the people are not allowed to vote for who they want. Honor, courage, the ability to navigate in critical situations- all those things are important for a governor/leader/head of the house. And they are being tested within the trial beneath Esterpolis.
Each creature and person is born into a House. There is some sort of freedom regarding where they live or work. However, they will always belong to their birth House. For example, in case of war, even if you live in Asolas but you were born in Taland, you will have to fight for Taland. Back then when technology hasn't been that far, people managed to slip away. However, with advances technology, the governors and their councils can easily follow your steps. Unless you make yourself invisible.

Ah yes, technology. It can be compared to modern times. Flying cars? Not so much, though they are being tested at the moment. But you want a cyborg arm? No worries, such operations are already established. Only one House is hanging behind- Shul. Coming from Esterpolis, the most advanced city in entire Ezon, to Shul is like a culture flash.

Which territory will you belong in? What kind of role will you play?

      COMBAT SYSTEM
There is magic for a few selected ones. The champions are required to have them and they have to fit for their own territory they will lead later on.

Magic has its limitations and weaknesses. As well as it is bound to the character's house. There is a phantom force, choosing some children to have those powers. But keep in mind, any power requires its sacrifices. You might want to enhance your power? It will cost you maybe your eyesight. All those things are up to you.

Otherwise, thanks to the technology there are possible ways to obtain the upper hand in combat. Such as weapons or even cyborg-body-parts. Again, this too has to have its limitation and weaknesses.

    Lorfalen
It was his grandfather who brought his family to the place they were now. For a Drow sitting in the governor's chair? Barely imaginable. Though Lorfalen Genmys has proven himself worthy. He carries on his grandfather's legacy and keeps peace with the other Houses. Although he does not open the green boarder.
He is highly interested in technology but he wants it to be in a balance with nature. Many solarpunk-reminding buildings visualize his vision for his territory. Even his farmers are treated well. But where is light follows a shadow. His city has been plagued with slums, with those who cannot make it in his system. Lorfalen does nothing to help them.

Nor does he try to stop the trial either or set up financial helps for those in need. Many families had to flee to Shul or, if they made it, to the capital city. There they could live a little better than under the selfish, progress-obsessed leader.

He actively pays Shul Guardians to eliminate the rebel group in his territory and to let them find out how their forces can cross the cursed forest without being harmed. Though, they had bare to none success.
    Venor
The Shulian Leader- Venor Alechsandrian Zylran is a tyrant. His goal is it to gain power, power and power. This is why he believes his House has to have the strongest military. There is no poor or rich- no one is doing good under his leadership and the people are longing for a change. Especially the young champions are motivated to take over his place.
But no one has succeeded in over three centuries.

Venor is a brutal leader, who does nothing for equal rights or fair punishments. All he cares is that his people have to work in order to achieve his dreams. For that, he keeps a close relation to the Talandian Leader.
    Irving Flinch
The leader of Taland- Irving Flinch. Another brutal fellow leader. He knows the potential of his territory and makes sure to use every inch of it. His system is equal to Shul's and he will do anything in order to keep his power. Which is probably why he only chooses a champion from the lower class? Or has it changed this year?

However, in order to improve his metal powers, he gave up one of his eyes and made an arm of his into a cyboric masterpiece. Something Shul's leader Venor enjoys much about his northern friend. The brutal, honest and strict man- how he just demonstrated his power.

I'm having issues accessing all the information via mobile. But I'm watching, possibly interested.

Suggestion:

Putting plain text format in a spoiler. That way other mobile user will be more willing to join with the accessibility.

I fear I do not have time enough to dedicate to this, but I must say that this is beautifully laid out for PCs. Well done and well selected, original poster.
