Marvel laughed, raised her arm, and bid one hundred thousand. Erma’s mouth dropped open in genuine shock. She anticipated Marvel’s partaking in the challenge. Most vampires were of that nature. She didn’t expect, however, to see the price of the young Asian to jump from 10,000 to one hundred thousand! One hundred thousand... why, that could buy thousands of delicious baked sweets!

“That’s how much I want him,” Marvel said with a smirk.

Erma laughed once she’d recovered from her shock. How delightful to see a charming yet playful individual!

“Well played,” she said. “I do admire vampires who can do such a thing you’ve done. Take him. I doubt anyone else would dare bid any higher.”

Erma was pleased.

One of the lady friends of Damon's finally seemed to realize something and bid $10,000 before giving the Korean count a smile. She didn't look like she had been paying attention at all, her hair was somewhat out of place and her outfit rumpled from sleep. It was about time some of the nobles got in on this though it seemed, to him, that he would need to bet on all the slaves to get any kind of response from the royal siblings, let alone their friends. Well, he couldn't win all of them, he didn't have that kind of money. She wanted to play did she? Well...not really his idea of playing but it would provide entertainment. The count turned to stare at the woman. Marvel, the one sitting beside the red-haired vampiress threw her paddle which narrowly missed one of the lower vampires and stood, spreading her arms wide to get all attention on her. Shouting out $100,000 it just caused the whispers to get louder until a general murmur like bees buzzing filled the air.

The auctioneer was practically rubbing his hands together in glee at the price he was getting for this human. $100,000 plus the $2,000 for the previous girl was giving him a lot of money already. "...One...one...hu...$100,000...going once...twice...sold to Marvel Vreyn Black!" Gesturing towards the guard, the same procedure was followed, the Asian was taken off stage and into the room where the girl who had been purchased by Nych was and chained into the floor nearest the door.

Haneul listened to the sounds of the crowd around him, turning back around to face the stage and wondering who would be next up for auction. He raised an eyebrow at seeing the other exotic boy on the floor of the stage and shaking, none of the guards moving to help him at all. But he settled back into a comfortable position and the next item was jerked up towards the auctioneer. Cocky bastard, he thought to himself. Raising his glass in farewell to the Korean boy as he would leave the stage, Haneul sipped it as the human was led away and the auctioneer spoke once he'd gotten the attention of the crowd...with a little help from Haneul who stood and turned to face the crowd. "Will everybody kindly shut up? Some of us have no desire to be here all night!" he snapped irritably. But since everyone is so slow, we will be most likely. When everyone had shut up, he took his seat once more. Even though he wasn't high up in the peerage and not a member of the royal family, Haneul's presence seemed to cause fear in the other vampires and get them to listen or at least take note when he spoke and obey.

"The...next item is a male who is apparently a count of human nobility," he said to laughs from the vampires, as if they couldn't imagine a human gaining any sense of high standing. When the laughter died down, Haneul closing his eyes in exasperation and taking a gulp of his drink to keep from spilling blood of human or vampire, the auctioneer continued. "He seems to like fine things....though that will all change..."

"Nobody asked for your opinion. Now shut up and get to the price," Haneul snapped, "or I will tie you outside and make sure you can't move so the sun can kill you." His eyes glittered dangerously as he stared at the auctioneer.

"...$25. Do...do I...$25...?"

"$25." The reply was said after a few minutes of contemplating.

"$100."

$200."

Haneul stared at the auctioneer throughout the bidding, watching as the auctioneer didn't look so happy now and kept nervously looking at Haneul. The fact that Haneul would even kill vampires was something many didn't understand but was also understood as a very real threat, hence why the male wasn't crossed all that much. He lowered his glass and watched the bidding. Now to see if any of the nobles would bid. Once a human was won by a certain vampire, that vampire couldn't bid again on any other humans. It was to prevent them from getting too much of a good thing.

Location: The stage.
Mentions: scorpiodragon scorpiodragon Heavenchi Heavenchi doneanddusted doneanddusted [/div][/div] [div class=Content] Ayumu looked in the Asian's direction, managing to catch an almost imperceptible nod. His smile took on a more mischievous note, bringing across the point even more that when he mouthed, 'I feel so special', it was meant to be a joke because of how much money it was. He knew he wasn't that special. Probably. Though, now that he thought of it, $2,800 must not be a very large sum of money for nobles.

Honestly speaking, Ayumu couldn't help but feel thankful for that Asian vampire. The people who were bidding on him persistently before didn't seem like the most. . .ideal people-- or vampires-- to be with for the rest of his life. If anything, he'd rather be in the hands of that Asian, even if he may appear indifferent or intimidating in a way or two. Well, he is a noble after all. The bids continued to raise up until $10,000 by a female vampire. There was a small pause. It felt like someone was going to shout a higher bid until another voice cut clear through the entire audience: "$100,000!" Another lady. It didn't take much to know that the lady is someone with elegance and charm at her side.

Ayumu almost coughed at the insane spike. Actually, "insane" may be an understatement, but what could be a more crazy word than insane? And I thought $1,500 or so was high. . .! There were numerous gasps that ensued following the bid, but nobody else dared raise the price. The auctioneer declared, "Sold!" to a lady named Marvel. What a beautiful name. In his peripheral vision, he noticed the auctioneer with a big smile on his face as he rubbed his hands together in excitement. Ayumu inwardly rolled his eyes. Well, I sure am glad someone here is happy.

He was led off the stage and shackled again near a door to wait for his buyer, but not before noticing that Asian raising his glass. Ayumu, understanding his gesture, flashed a brief smile. It wasn't that ice cold and masked smile he had shown the audience as a whole, but rather a genuine smile. A hunch told Ayumu that even though he wasn't sold to that Asian vampire noble, they would meet again. Sometime, somewhere.

After being dragged onto the stage, Alexandre-Cyril briskly brushed off his cuff where the guard dragged him. He didn't appreciate being touched, especially not so roughly and further disliked the wrinkling of his shirt specifically in such an important moment. Folding his hands behind his back, he took the stage with a confidence, head held high, shoulders back and chest puffed, Alexandre stood with a feeling of dignified confidence. He looked at the audience of vampires with the shadow of a smile on his face, pleased to soon become a part of such high-class society. He only hoped his soon to be fiancee was attractive.

Erma sat back and sighed. She had no interest in this auction anymore. The auctioneer seemed delighted. Of course he was, think of how much money he was receiving from this affair! The next man to come allegedly was a human count. Rarely did one ever find a human of such high status in the Vampire Kingdom. The poor man must’ve been roped in this. Well- no, that seemed to be inaccurate. The way the moved and presented himself told Erma he was either an imbecile, or he knew very well what he was doing. He was confident: head high, shoulders back, chest puffed. Erma couldn't help it. She found herself extremely intrigued by this man. Well, if she couldn't have the Asian, she'd just get this one. What the auctioneer say before getting cut off by the kind of violent Asian vampire? Something about him liking fine things? Well, Erma would give him whatever he wanted.

"He's mine," Erma mumbled to Marvel, not giving much care as to if she was actually listening or not.

Prices flew around. 25, 100, 200...

"201." Erma called out.

Wake Wake i could've paid more for you, ragdoll fucker.

This third item on stage was certainly full of himself and probably had stuffy mannerisms to boot. Thankfully he didn't need to bid on this one for it to get attention, Erma shouted out $201 for the airy boy. Probably thought himself better than everyone else here as well. Well, he'll fit in with the noble high end society, thought Haneul. Until he's dead that is and crosses the wrong vampire by acting above his place. Which was likely to happen with someone like that. It had certainly happened to Haneul once or twice as a young man...okay maybe more often than once or twice. There was silence this time at the bid for the stuffy looking human noble from one of the vampire nobles...only it wasn't so much shock at the bidding as it was the low price which was only one number above 200. It was ludicrous and yet nobody seemed willing to bid over that. With no other takers, the auctioneer declared the boy sold and had him moved off the stage and into the room with the other two slaves proceeding this one. He would be chained to the opposite wall on the left side in a corner.

"Sold for $201 to Emer."

Alexandre-Cyril's auction ended disappointingly quickly. He made eye-contact with the woman who won and sent her a small charismatic smile. Internally, he sighed deeply, silently wishing death upon everyone in the room, however let none of that fury show on his face, maintaining an expression of flawless composure. Getting angry would do nothing but harm at this point. He'd become highly adept at forcibly suppressing such feelings over the years anyway.
One of the guards escorted him offstage from the wing a moment before the next human was brought up. He was led down a short corridor to a room and told here he'd await the arrival of his new master. Against his better judgement, he felt just a little bit of anticipation in meeting his wife for the first time. He ran a hand through his hair a few times, cursing the fact that the room lacked a mirror.
doneanddusted doneanddusted you SHOULD'VE paid more for me, stingy bastard

Manuello let out a wheezing cough into the arm of his coat sleeve and returned his gaze to the stage. His eyebrows remained furrowed and his wrinkles sank into his frown lines as he listened intently to the numbers being thrown into the air as the bidding proceeded.
He scanned each object as money in the form of words were flung about, a tragic waste of precious coin. He shivered at the thought of bidding one hundred grand on some mediocre...thing. So far it had been the highest and most ridiculous bid from a young vampire wench it seemed on what appeared to be an exotic but sleazy male who probably appealed to the vampire with his revolting feminine countenance and form. He kept watching the bidding items come to the stage and quickly leave with a range of price tags. He impatiently tapped his bidding paddle on his right leg, hopefully, the human he receives will be the cheapest as well as sturdy enough in body frame to make back the money he lost, at the minimum, from this absurd event.

The order was switched up as the prince seemed not at all interested so far in the auction and looked like he could use more time in deciding things. So instead of the brunette he had been about to bring up, he motioned instead to a dark-haired person who stared defiantly at the crowd and presented a domineering air as if that would intimidate a bunch of vampires and supreme beings. It was laughable but he didn't laugh, Haneul looked like he would kill the man if he did so. "Next up is this wild beast from the mountanious kingdom of the north...supposedly strong as an ox...and quite the challenge to break in of its spirit." He would have said more but Haneul's eyes were tunnel focused on him, a glimmering anger within them. "We'll start the bidding at $30. Do I have $30?"

The elder vampire from before raised his hand and he pointed at the vampire. "$30...do I have $20?"

Three other vampires raised either hand or paddle. Pointing at a white haired vampire he lowered the price more. "Do I have $5?" He was doing something different with this one, giving its wild nature, not many may want to buy it, hence why he was lowering the price.

This time several bidding paddles went into the air. Pointing at one, he began speaking. "I have five dollars....now ten....ten...ten...who will give $15?" Several paddles went down, indicating it was the maximum amount people were willing to pay. Like with the red haired chit, Haneul didn't bother with this one, instead he took amusement in watching the auctioneer watch his words and get straight to the point.

Manuello felt that even ten was reaching a bit for this new stocky human, but he definitely preferred this number by a landslide compared to the ones before. He kept his left hand firmly gripped on the head of his cane and raised his right arm with the paddle. In a deep and husky voice, he said, "ten and a penny." Manuello stared at the auctioneer then turned his gaze to the beast of a woman; not quite the human he had in mind, but one who could perform labor nonetheless.

None gave fifteen dollars for the wild beast that was being auctioned yet one of the vampire nobles did raise his right arm clutching the bidding paddle and gave a low offer of ten and a penny. As he now had two vampires staring at him, both Haneul and the noble who had purchased the beast, he readily accepted the offer. "Sold for ten and a penny to Manuello Lumori!"

A pair of guards, the one who had brought Jatayu up leaving him to help escort the wild beast off the stage and towards the room where the slaves were being held, it didn't really matter to most that they were meant to be fiancees of nobles and not used for or as slaves, would approach Norta and force her off the stage and past the vampires where she would be escorted to the room and chained by herself against a wall. The guard with Jatayu would return to the stage and the auction would continue.

(Next up is Arcanimus Arcanimus and RI.a RI.a )

There were some murmurs at the low price and a flew glances as having such a disobedient slave that would likely try to kill the one who owned it but many were glad they had not continued with their bids. Let the noble deal with it. This time a lighter brunette was dragged forward to face the vampires and the auctioneer looked around him at the group. "Also of prime breeding age and not quite as headstrong, it appears this one is curious. Might be useful no?" Hearty laughter echoed throughout the room. Again Haneul exhibited nothing on his face. "Bidding starts at forty dollars."

"Forty!"

"Eighty!"

"Two hundred!"

Well this was getting high real fast. Haneul tossed back more of his drink as his eyes went again to the blond female who had caught his eye before.

Norta marched her way onto stage, boots thudding against the floor with each commanding step. She stopped in the center where the guards wanted her, and turned on her heel to face the audience, teeth grit as she steeled herself to be sold away. She stood, arms behind her back as she continued to watch the vampires, pride in her stance. She noticed one particularly arrogant vampire, of some similar foreign background as the weakling girly boy from earlier. She fixed her icy, emotionless gaze on him, meeting his eyes with a challenge in her gaze, as if asking him to come and fight her. The look on his face reminded her of the sort of new recruit who fancied himself some tough fucker, only to get killed in his first engagement, if not earlier. In vampires, she loved this sort of attitude. They always clad themselves in black, swaggered their way into the Fingers as if they already owned the place, swingin' about whatever fancy sword their fathers bought them. They loved to torture their captives to make up for their pitiful lack of skill on the battlefield, in some effort to feel powerful. Despite being so tough, they always seemed to beg when they died. She had killed several herself, and it brought her such joy to take down such arrogant fuckoffs with a few thrown molotovs and a bullet.

Interestingly enough, when the bidding began for her, she was described as a "wild beast". Perhaps that is what the leechlords thought of her, having slaughtered so many of their kind in the frozen mountains of home. If it was a beast they viewed her as, a beast she would be. The beast that would tear out their throats with her bare hands, and free the humans they had enslaved. However, despite her grim thoughts, it almost drew a smile to her face, as much as hearing the auctioneer describe Karkaul as a Kingdom. If only, she thought to herself, shaking her head. Once the vampires were defeated, perhaps Karkaul could become a free kingdom once more, but until then, that could not happen. Karkaul could not stand alone. She certainly could, on the other hand.

The prices for her ranged from five dollars to thirty. Not surprising, considering the vampires seemed to be looking for "pleasure" slaves in this auction, over slaves for labor. However, the low price compared to what the girly boy had been bought for earlier amused her. As an old looking vampire purchased her for a low 10 dollars and a penny, a small smirk tugged at the Hunter's lips. The man had bought his own death warrant, although she could atleast applaud him for not overspending. He had to be some sort of businessman, that sort of practicality didn't come in leechlords. She met eyes with the man for a moment, before beginning to chuckle as the guards brought her off the stage, and continued to laugh as they chained her up.

Maya Cowill

Maya's frown deepened as the auctioned went on, the money flying out the bloody pockets of the vampires and some weren't afraid of voicing how they would treat them if they had won the bid. There seemed to be some sort of order for this cursed event, and soon it came to putting a price on Norta. Her lips parted slightly as the guards brought the girl off stage as she laughed. Did the soldier just lose her mind?

She didn't have time to dwell her thoughts on the soldier that had promised to get them out. The auctioneer moved on to the next "item" as soon as he came back, the gossip amongst the audience dying down. She scoffed at the auctioneer, not quite as headstrong? Did he- oh no he didn't. She's stubborn enough to prove what he said was wrong, and before she could even think of cooling her petty anger off, she spat "Think you need glasses and a lesson on marketing. And stop labelling us a breeding cow, you sex maniac." The grocers at her town's market could come up with a better sales pitch. The guard behind her dug the muzzle of his weapon into her side, a silent last warning. This time, she bit her tongue. Her glare landing on the vampire that sat calmly in the comforts of his chair, looking like he was enjoying this.

The auctioneer ignored the human who told him he was blind and needed better marketing tactics. "That girl is all you and your fellow females are," he said. Smirking as the guard behind the female shoved his gun into her back, the auctioneer decided to go with it and proffered up the one girl that was meant to be sold before this wrench. Haneul moved his gaze from the blond to the one that put up a fuss and spoke to the auctioneer, mentally counting the amount of money that had been spent so far. Several thousand by his count though the "wild beast" of a woman that was led off stage and had briefly glanced at him earned his gaze as well...before she burst into laughter.

Well that didn't take long to snap.

(Entity & Spirit's auction below)

Next up was a brunette. "Another girl of prime breeding age. Said to have a somewhat stubborn streak who was sold by her parents quite readily for money if these notes are correct but from a simple background. We'll start the bidding at $100. Do I have $100?"

"$100!"

"350!"

"$12,00..."

With smooth grace, Haneul had interrupted that bidding and threw his knife into the vampire's throat, the male stalking through the crowd towards the female of the couple that had been persistently trying to get a slave. "Continue," Haneul called to the sudden silence as he reached the woman and twisted his knife even deeper into her neck, scraping against her windpipe.

"...$12,000 going..."

"$12,600."

"$13,500." Now that the bidding was in the thousands, people were willing to pay this much for the brunette beauty and someone was determined to get it. If Haneul had anything to say, it would not be this couple. His eyes glittered with scorn as he looked down at the crimson liquid trailing down the female vampire's porcelain skin, taking no notice as the bidding got up to $20,000.

ELENA KATRINA BARNETT

Elena’s eyes were sent ablaze as she was torn out of the carriage and placed into a temporary room to fix up any mistakes in her appearance. The lilac-grey dress had been neatened down hastily by the hands of maids who were so gentle that if she hadn’t of seen them brushing down her dress, she wouldn’t have noticed their hands at all. Her hair was tidied, eliminating it from fuzziness- Elena wasn’t used to such actions and flinched whenever a hand neared her. After all, she couldn’t tell whether they were vampires or humans and was not about to take a huge risk in relaxing, inevitably providing a spot of vulnerability. Foggy green eyes murky with suspicion, she watched them carefully, hesitant to not snap and push them away. Guards were placed in the doorway, glaring with masked amusement. “Assholes,” she muttered under her breath, forgetting the sensitivity of the ears of the guards. A particularly rough looking man, tall, bald, approached her, eyes burning as he speedily presses the head of his blade against her abdomen. “You wish to speak so disrespectfully, bloodbag? Care to repeat yourself?” He questioned, her gaze fixated on a bead of sweat that trickled past his dry skin and towards the corner of his smirk, hinting that her life was but a mere game for his people. The way he belittled her, made her seem like a child, ignited disgust in the pits of her mind. “I said,” Elena cleared her throat, rouge splattering her cheekbones as the knife was pressured harder. “Assholes. You’d think someone with super sonic heading-“
If I didn’t have to keep you alive you’d-“
“Kill me?” The young woman feigned laughter. “I’d rather be dead than be slave to you bloodsucking cowards.” Elena felt sweat begin to trickle down from her forehead, swaying towards her ear until the knife was removed and she released the tense muscles that had coiled away from the weapon.

But, within mere moments, she was shackled and forced upon a stage, eyes darting to every inch of the room before her. It wasn’t until a few seconds that she realised the whole of the carriage crew. Elena was almost relieved to see them, despite not being able to be near them and having an uncomfortable amount of security on all of their tracks. And, within no time, the entire auction had started and the young woman felt into a dizzy daze, unable to control her head feeling so heavy. The room continued to spin until she felt large hands push her forward. As a consequence of her shackles, Elena tipped forwards, stumbling until the guard caught her just as she was about to smack her face. He held her up as she found herself stunned, unable to process the quickness of what had happened. And, when she realised she was being bid on, she turned to Maya and nodded. “This auctioneer better shut his fucking dirty mouth,” she snapped, and, in response, found the guard roughly clasp his hand at the bottom of her jaw, holding it firmly so that the audience could see her face. Expression growing fiesty, she tried to fight back, but her shackles prevented her from doing much damage at all. Simply the audience seemed to find it exciting how stubborn and fiery she was.

A number stuck in her head. $20,000? Looking dumbstruck, she snorted, eyes scanning the audience in disbelief. It still wasn’t the highest bid of the day, but it was excruciating to her knowing that people had that much money and would spend it on her. A man, a wealthy one, in the audience caught her attention and she glared at him. Something about him she recognised, but couldn’t place a finger on it. Not that it mattered, she was screwed now anyway. Within a day, she bet to herself, she’d be rid of life and chucked to the side like a sack of skin.

This whole event had devolved into a night of... well it felt to be chaos and yet, far too planned for such to even be possible. A low hiss rang free from his mouth, fang bore behind lips. There was no order here as it seemed, mother and father had described it as a 'civil matter' and he had expressed this to those close enough to be personally invited by him. Even they seemed to be on the end of their rope, the annoyance among them all was enough to split apart his view of this being a domestic situation. Slavery, that was exactly what had been planned all along. So far the results of this bidding had come across as successful, with those he invited reaping the reward, and yet it felt like a failure to him. There was no sense in staging this as a way to branch the divide, no... this fed right into that which they'd grown so attached to. The humans he could hear spoke valid points, all of which didn't seem to be taken in by the auctioneer. Perhaps it was time for him to speak up, or rather he would have had it not been for the sight crossing stage next.

Her figure was, angelic for a lack of other wording, the way she carried herself didn't seem to be that of a common peasant. He saw a queen in her, the thought sent a wild chill throughout his body. A phrase stuck out to him once more, it felt repetitive in all honesty and sickening to see them as that alone. Though odd, he felt something spark in his chest... something that was far more active than he'd ever known. A slight glimmer came to his eye as he now stood from his seat and raised the black paddle skyward, "Six hundred and Sixty-Four thousand." He spoke and began to lower the paddle before changing his mind and raising the paddle again. "Two-thousand more for you to be silent about breeding age." He nodded to the man before being seated once more with a cheeky smile present to his face, if someone went higher than he would just have to outdo it again. A beauty such as the one on stage... finding another like her would be nearly impossible, he could see the agape mouth of another vampire. The shock might've done it... or maybe he had overdone it a little bit.

Regardless, this was his decision and he fully intended to go through with it. He had no shortage of money, given his position, so now it was just a matter of seeing if another had the moxie to contest it. If they didn't then it could've been lack of confidence or lack of funding, his paddle remained clasped in hand. Given the event of another attempting to raise his bid he would merely increase it once more.

He decided it was better to ignore Hanuel's actions rather than comment on them.

The price was rising fast but he merely smiled and looked the woman in the eye as he raised his paddle, "60,000 for the marketing teacher," he clarified the best he could since apparently, the auctioneer wasn't bothering with names, and he didn't want Damon to even think he was competing with him over the same female. He didn't want that quarrel to ever occur.

He preferred not to bid his last stand first, so he bid low enough that he was willing to go higher if there were still competing bidders after the female he had his eye on.

Two bids at once...who to choose to address first? He looked between the prince who bid on the brunette and then one of the prince's friends whom had not bid yet and chosen the lighter brunette female. He chose to go with the prince first who bid extra money for him not to make, in his opinion, accurate comments on the females. In fact, he more or less ignored all the women upon the stage as if they didn't exist and completely ignored any comments on the men. Murmurs echoed throughout the audience, some watching the bidding and surprised at the highest price so far, some watching as Haneul twisted the knife even further into the woman's neck, causing more blood to trickle down and begin to stain her dress red. A slice to the left and he had slashed half the woman's throat, cutting into the windpipe before removing his knife and calmly licking the woman's blood off, drying it off with the lady's dress that wasn't stained in blood before hearing a commotion. A vampire had stabbed Marvel, the vampire that had bid $100,00 for the pretty Asian boy earlier, who was now convulsing some in her seat, a look of horror on her face. None around really bothered to do anything at all, there were quite a few who didn't really like the nobles close to the royal family or how they had been selected to be the prince's friends compared to themselves or the few children among the lesser nobles that were still alive. The young vampire rolled his eyes and headed back towards his seat, once more taking it as he sheathed his knife on his arm, hiding it underneath the sleeve of his right arm.

As for the auctioneer..."Six hundred and sixty-six thousand for the dark brunette. Anyone want to bid higher?" he called out, seemingly annoyed by the cheeky smile on the prince's face before his eyes went to the commotion in the back as one of the nobles was stabbed.

"Nine hundred thousand!" called the man of the couple who seemed at the moment more interested in getting a slave then helping his wife.

"We all know you don't have that type of money," said Haneul. "Perhaps you should take care of your wife...never know when someone might stab her in the back." His voice carried an indifferent air, as if he truly didn't care less and truthfully he did not. It served to get the couple out of the auction and head home. Now that that problem is taken care of...

It seemed like nobody besides the idiot couple wanted to bid any higher than the prince. "$1,000,000 for the girl the prince bid on."

"$1,000,600."

Meanwhile, another of the prince's friends had bid on the lighter brunette or blondish girl. It was somewhat hard to tell with the lighting in the room. "$60,000 for the...marketing teacher." What the hell was a market teacher? "Do I have $65,000?"

"$65,000!"

$70,000!"

He had the guards write down notes for the girls who were being bid on. Entity.Eclypse Entity.Eclypse Arcanimus Arcanimus ElectricDandellion ElectricDandellion RI.a RI.a

A light chuckle escaped the prince, the fact that people were bidding so high had been one thing. Yet the intent behind such a thing was yet to be known, the fact that the couple wished to outbid him wad mildly depressing honestly. They wouldn't be able to win so why bother? "Do ensure you have the funds to back up your intentions, for if you intend to succeed. You must first have the prerequisite." He spoke with a mixture of two things, one of which was confidence and that was expected of a future king of vampires, the other was annoyance. The fact that someone may attempt to write a check they couldn't cash was excessively tiring to think about, with that his paddle raised again as the black form took to the sky.

"Four million." He stated simply, his form remained upright and aware as he had sat there. This auction was doting on far too long, and the civility had done exactly as he predicted it. Bloodshed had already occurred, which had led to one member going unconscious. Moving a hand to his forehead he took care to attempt to reduce his own grief over this, not to the extent of it being a momentously sad occasion. But in the respect that this had continued for far too long, and it was a tad annoying in all honesty. With that he sat there and looked to the auctioneer an eyebrow raised to see if others wanted to bid higher, though the princes true expression was unreadable... one that expressed something incomprehendable to most if not all.

ELENA KATRINA BARNETT

Elena was shocked to say the least when bids for her quickly rose and, not to mention, another bid was being handled at the same time which made matters for her mind all the more confusing. Her eyes still lingered thoughtfully on the wealthy looking man, though he seemed different from the rest; his face was softer yet still stern and he seemed interested but somewhat bored. Well, that was until she was nudged further onto the stage, guard clamping his hand to her jaw to fixate her face into one position. Daring eyes flickering from vampire to vampire, she tried to figure out how her life would be when chosen by one. A better life, but with an excessive amount of possessions and an unwanted marriage. At that point she tried not to dwell on the fact that she may or may not have been forced to be a living blood bag for the rest of her life. Her mellow, hazel eyes dazed out towards the walls of the room as she drifted into thought. And, what if she were to be turned into a vampire? She’d heard brutal stories from locals who had witnessed scenes of blistering skin and wails like no other. The mere thought had her shake her head.

“666,000!” The young woman snapped back into reality at the thought of such a large amount of money with her mouth agape. Her eyes turned to Maya, surprised at the amount of money held in some of the vampires’ pockets. “My, isn’t that a lot?” Looking discouraged, she pushed away the guard as best as she could to loosen his grip; the young woman wasn’t even aware that it was she who had been bid on. Being someone from a poor farming background, she was inevitably shocked and somewhat disgusted at the abundance of money. How did they achieve that? It was almost criminal for people to have so much money and not share it with the poor. Bike burnt her throat at the thought. “At least you’ll be treated well, it seems they’re bidding ever so high,” Elena was mixed between the auctions simultaneously carrying out and had assumed she was the one who was being bought for $70,000. It was still an unruly number and she felt her lungs tighten. In fact, the room started to spin a little and she felt the need to crouch down, eyes burning when the auctioneer had mentioned the eagerness of her parents to throw her into, what she thought would be, hell. Legs growing slightly limp, she felt herself slowly ease downwards until she was sat on the floor of the stage, gritting her teeth. It seemed, upon watching the bidders, that the prince was the one who had previously caught her attention and was the one paying so handsomely. Yet, something quickly struck her. His gaze was settled more or less on her rather than Maya, and her gut tightened. The prince? The prince of vampires wanted to bid on her? One of the poorer humans? Hazelnuts lifted to look at the man, and she felt her expression soften somewhat until he was outbid and the man with the stabbed wife, of whom she hadn’t noticed, was settled comfortably in the chair. Elena gasped, feeling her stomach churn and her face pale. She forced herself to look away but she couldn’t help but look in her peripheral vision. Although she wanted to go home, she couldn’t; her parents had wanted her gone so this was the best it got for her at that moment, sinking into her dress and staring at a woman with a blade hanging from her neck.

But then the Prince spoke again with a tone she couldn’t decipher, but it seemed that irritation was evident in his words. 4 million. Her heart sank. If he won her, she’d be pummelled into instant riches; something she didn’t know was good or bad. And queen? Mind twisting, she looked over at the others helplessly, chest rising and falling rapidly. She felt dramatic, but she couldn’t quite mentally grasp the shift that was about to occur in her life. “4 million is an extraordinary amount,” she stated loudly, gaze held on the prince. “Would it not be a waste?...to use so much money?” Her eyes widened when she realised she had spoken without the words registering in her head, but she continued to be baffled even so. “There are people out there suffering greatly, poor people, diseased people, and you’ve decided to spend an abundance of money on someone of whom your entire race determines inferior by default? I just don’t understand,”

Maya Cowill

Maya fought her urge to smirk, her lips turning into awkward pout of sorts. She wanted to rub it into the auctioneer's face for the vampire's name for her. Surely even she could teach the old twat a thing or two. The prices increased at a rapid rate, the audience raising their paddles one after the other. But a splash of red and a moment's silence caught her attention. Her deep eyes widened and she took an involuntary step back at the sight of the woman's spouting jugular. Even when her town had multiple vampire victims when the body is found to be mangled and torn, their bodies are usually so pale in comparison- thanks to all the blood drank by the very demons before her. Flashes of her dead boyfriend from two years ago came to her mind. There was no way anyone would get over it. And Maya swore to herself that she'd never forget it, fuelling her hatred for the vampires. The one that takes on the form of humans and is anything but. She pried her eyes off, turning to the side and to the girl beside her, only to see one of the guards pushing her forward and grabbing her face to display her to the audience.

Without hesitation, Maya's shackled arms tried to reach for the guard to let go. But the moment the chains clicked against each other, the guard behind her squeezed her left bicep with an iron grip. Pulling her hair so she was now forced to look back at the vamps, the guard easily pushed her forwards a few steps. Grimacing, a small groan escaped her and her brows furrowed further.

"All this money better not go right back into the pockets of the rich."

Norta stood, arms chained to the wall, her icy eyes moving from person to person in the from they had been chained up in. Although the other were far away from her, she kept her eyes on them. It was as much comfort as she could give, letting them know they weren't alone. She glanced to the wall behind her, gritting her teeth before she moved herself forward for a moment, as far as she could go, as if experimenting. She rattled her chains, glancing to the others for a moment before she parted her lips.

"All of you, must stay strong. Resist as long as you can, hold yourself together. Use your pain to remind you of what these monsters are, make it your strength." She clenched her fists together, looking from one slave to another. "Vampires lack resolve, something we do not. Make use of it. I'll help you all as I can," she said, still attempting to give hope to the other slaves.

She stood against her wall, already deep in thought. She'd need a lot of flammable material, certainly. Fire alone wouldn't kill the vampires, but it would certainly weaken and immobilize them enough to make taking their heads much easier. Or... some explosives would do the job quite nicely. After all, if the vampire just blows up, they'll be plenty as dead as any human would've been. She was never smart enough to know how to make explosives, to understand those chemical recipes, but perhaps she'd be able to find a slave who did, or just bludgeon the leechlord who bought her to death so she could leave.

The price for the dark brunette went up a lot after the incident with the vampire couple and the incident with one of the prince's female friends getting stabbed, both of which were somewhat ignored by the audience or at least towards the prince's female friend Marvel being stabbed and convulsing in her seat. It would appear most were interested with the auction. There were several audible gasps from the audience as they heard the price for the dark brunette female at the prince. Four million for a human who was nothing and didn't look like she was civilized or knew any manners though they wisely kept such thoughts to themselves, this purchase would likely be spoken of in many a home. None dared bid higher, partly because they couldn't and partly because they were in shock. "Sold for four million to Prince Damon," said the auctioneer and the girl was led away from the others on the stage and towards the room where the others were. She was chained in a corner with five guards stationed there when a whispered word was spoken of who had bought that one female, as far from the "wild beast" as they could get and away from the feminine boy and other snooty male.

The auctioneer than looked at Phaeron, awaiting his next bid for the light brunette or blondish woman who was putting up a fuss and refusing to submit to anyone. The auction would need to finish soon or more blood besides the one woman and the prince's female friend Marvel might be spilled tonight. As for the one who had stabbed Marvel they were taken out in chains and Marvel was taken away to die in peace as there was nothing that could be done. Arcanimus Arcanimus

Phaeron
At the look from the auctioneer, he knew he should probably jump his bid, he gave a slight sigh at that. But, he understood that as soon as blood was spillt..it was odder to expect it to de-escalate.

"500,000" He spoke as he rose his paddle, he hoped it would bring the quick end the auctioneer was hoping for, but if not, well..he didn't mind playing. He was planning on doing that before, topping by 10,000 at a time for every bid..but he was just playful that way. If he was going to do something, he would commit to it, and he committed to buying the marketing teacher.

Even if she did plainly show her hate for their race, he liked her snark.

"Sold for $500,000 to Phaeron Athanasius!" said the auctioneer before anyone else could put more bids in. Again, another person was removed from stage and taken to the room where she would be chained in the center of the floor. When she was removed, he motioned to the guard holding the peasant looking female.

( ElectricDandellion ElectricDandellion You're up again with Alma!)

"A normal person who aparrently had a rough start....starting bid for her will be $200!"

"$200!"

"$100," called the elder vampire from earlier.

"$50. She doesn't look like she's worth more than that," said the red haired woman from earlier as well as she bid on the plain looking girl.

Haneul was quiet as he stared at the female who so far had not reacted to the fact that she was being bid on. "$7,500," he said giving the same offer he had given for the pretty Asian boy.

"$8,000."

"$10,000."

This human seemed a bit dense. Still she was pretty and with Marvel being dead...he would be tweaking some stuff to get that Asian boy as well. $30,000." Though he had the money on him and could bid higher, he wanted to know who was all bidding on what was his, despite the fact the female in question was not technically his. Well who cared much for semantics? There were some murmurs as a few no longer tried to bid on the girl with Haneul willing to keep going up in price but a few that still didn't listen to reason.

$100,700."

"$300,000."

"$400,000."

Four hundred thousand. "$2,500,089 for the girl," said Haneul in a tone that got rather low, daring anyone to attempt to continue bidding against him. The count set the paddle down and returned to his drink as he waited for the crowd to get over their sudden silence, his eyes staring into the girl's own as he sipped from the wine glass. His eyes then slid to the auctioneer.

"Sold to Count Haneul Akiyama for two million...five hundred thousand and eighty-nine," squeaked out the auctioneer.

So Haneul owed $2,507,411 for both slaves, not that anyone knew he planned on walking out of here with both of them. He would not be paying the $100,000 for the Asian that Marvel had bid. It was probably that amount that got her killed. He had exactly $5,000,000 on hand for this event...leaving him with $2,492,589 left over from tonight's events. Not a bad deal though...and come the end of the evening he would have more money and two rather pretty slaves for even if the female he'd just won was from a peasant background....which he preferred...and was plain looking, he liked her spirit. Which was mainly why he had bid on her in the first place.
