"A GENIE!? COOL! I'VE NEVER MET ONE OF THOSE. I ALWAYS THOUGHT YOU GUYS WOULD BE A LOT WHISPIER." He remarked, noting the comment about her father. Genies were a slave race, and not only that, this girl was mixed. He tried to hide signs of disgust. but when the commencement ceremony began and the siren woman gave her speech, Leon quickly let go of Sakari. He put his hands in his pockets. Though he looked aloof before, when he saw the siren take center stage, there was an intensity about him.

To Leon, the headmistress talked a big game, but he was already skeptical. Unity? More like indoctrination. Why else would the children all be gathered in such a way and in such a place? As Headmistress Adira was about finished with her speech, Leon took a hand out of his pocket and reached it up to her. With his appearance and mannerisms, it may have looked as if he were raising his hand to the sky, but from Leon's perspective, his hand was held over the headmistress's head. Slowly, his fingers curled into his palm and his hand clenched into a fist. Leon was the wolf prince. If anyone was going to unite the tribes, it was to be him.

Then, his concentration was broken.

"We're in the same group?"

Leon lowered his arms and smiled at Sakari. "YEAH. I GUESS SO!" Leon replied. He turned to the bulletin board. The names were all foreign to him. If he had to guess, he must have been the only wolf on campus. In other words, he'd have to share a room with those of inferior blood. This didn't so much disgust him. Leon was raised as a warrior, and so naturally, in his training, he camped with others of less noble upbringing. However, those he had trained with before were at least wolves. These, he shared much less of a blood connection to.

"I'M FROM THE WOLF CLAN!" Leon beamed proudly, pointing to himself before turning his head up to the sky and letting out an ear shattering howl. "AWOOOOO!"

Galynthia
galy.png
Galynthia Aash stood awkwardly by herself in the back, quiet, pale, and so far, unnoticed. The boat ride had made her queasy-- she hated being surrounded by water like that. And the bus ride had been spent listening to the other newcomers chatter away. Nerves made Galy uncharacteristically silent. She swallowed and thought about the Headmistress' speech, and about what she was going to do at this school.

"Make us proud," her parents had said. Galy had woken up ready to do just that, to meet new people and friends and learn things and become the best student-daughter anybody could ask for... except as soon as she'd arrived, nerves had set in, causing Galynthia to seize up, freeze up, and become a shadow. She currently stood towards the back, staring at her feet. She didn't know who she was rooming with, or whose team she was on. She didn't care. She just wanted to go home. Galynthia hugged herself dismally, trying not to cry.

So much for making friends, she thought to herself. Stupid Galy, you can't even muster up the courage to talk to anybody. What kind of Phoenix are you?

She blinked and looked up, watching her other schoolmates greet each other.

Stupid, stupid Galy. Good for nothing. Open your stupid mouth and be happy.
If only it were that easy.

Hope leaned lightly against the bus as the others filed slowly through its door. They were an odd bunch of dragons to be sure - not that she'd met many other dragons, but she knew them to be odd all the same - and she wanted to meet as many as she could. One had hardly set foot aground before turning and emphatically shaking her hand in greeting. She managed a startled, "Oh! Hi, I'm-" before he was off greeting someone else. Definitely odd.

Finally the bus emptied and the older people waiting for them seemed ready to speak. Is this going to be like those entrance ceremonies I've seen in my games? I've always wanted to attend one in person! She leaned in slightly as if it would help her hear as the headmistress began. “Hello students. My name is Headistress Adira Orabelle..." The speech continued, but Hope was already lost in her excitement to be finally attending an entrance ceremony. This must be when the magic happens! I'll bump into someone, we'll shyly move away but later find out we're soul mates! Then the school year will continue and we'll become more and more romantic until... untilllll... Oh, I didn't finish that game.

Hope's internal monologue ended as the headmistress was finishing her speech and the school's IT staff set up the multimedia display behind her. Her parents had always told her she was special, that she had a unique strength, so she wasn't worried. She just hoped she found that strength before she needed to use it.

The male teacher wearing an odd, fuzzy headband practically barked at the students, and Hope was unimpressed. Here she saw the bully character, the one who made sure that romances failed in games. A bully like him had no place being a teacher in Hope's eyes. But just as soon as he spoke, he seemed to leave, allowing the students to begin rushing to the high-tech board to find their classes and rooms. Hope joined the mob of students and patiently waited until turn at the board.

As she searched for her name and photo on the screen a flash of solid gold caught her attention. Her name, dorm, and group were displayed normally, but next to them was a golden ovoid form cradled in silver coins. Blood began to rush to Hope's face, flooding it thoroughly and pumping through at high speed. She stood frozen, but her temperature was rapidly rising. So loud was the beating of her heart in her ears that she was completely deaf to the point-blank howling of the overexcited boy who'd shaken her hand.

Her parents had given the school a baby picture of her.

Galynthia
Galy sighed and forced herself to check out her group assignment and roommate. She blinked.

"Evelyn."

Galynthia had no clue who or what this female was. And she recognized none of the names on the list of who her group was. She grumbled under her breath, not cursing, but coming close.

"This is what I get for being homeschooled and basically quarantined."

Galynthia bit her lip and looked around her.

"Matyr, Gotras, Soraya, Krrr."

Great. Now I have to find them, and then become friends. Simple! Easy! Straightforward and not that hard. Just don't let your debilitating social anxiety get in the way at a time like this!

Martyr yanked her staff from out of his reach. Her face scrunched up in annoyance.
"I have already told you! This is not for digging! And I will not have your hands on it!"
She raised her voice, hoping he would understand her annoyance and anger towards his disregard for her words prior. She took a step back from him.
"If you cannot get my words through that thick skull of yours then I'll be leaving! Never in all my years have I met someone so...so thick-headed. Honestly, even mortals listened to my words when they thought I was only a phony."
She scowled softly and made to turn away.

Azazel turned to the girl who mentioned his horns. He looked her up and down and then looked up as if he could see his own horns. He was proud of them, himself. They were so nice and dark. Some incubi had gnarly horns.
"Thanks. You're not being rude or insensitive. At least, not to me. I can't speak for every demon."
He chuckled softly and took another sip of his coffee. It was sweet, almost sickeningly sweet, but he loved sweet things.
"Nice to meet you Evelyn."
He flashed one of his charming smiles and gently took her hand. He brought it up to his face and pressed a light kiss to her knuckles. He did need energy, after all, but he took so little she wouldn't even notice it.
"I'm Azazel. Azazel Minaz. Pleasure to meet you. And I don't think you're dumb. I think you're absolutely beautiful."
He couldn't help but flirt with her. It was in his nature. The human girls had called him a playboy. His father was too.

Charlotte Paige Rhodes
But before Axus could truly speak out or give her the campus coupon book. It appeared that the faculty themselves wanted to give the little speech instead of, some college kid. Didn't they usually have like the Resident Assistants do this? Charlotte simply groaned as she returned her phone back to her jacket-pocket and placed her left fist against her cheek as she watched and listened to the display.

"U-unity?!" Charlotte began cackling to herself and instinctively flipping some of her hair back. "Oh my God, what do they think this is like, the Eighteen-whatevers? Like hello, newsflash, current year uh we can vote now..." Charlotte Paige Rhodes said not, well really caring so much about the intricacies and old ways of the Hidden Community. The murderer tried giving that same sort of history lesson. Hey at least this time this wasn't next to the corpses of her friends! That was a plus.

Missions? Matters of life and death? Is this for real? Charlotte stared blankly, dumbfounded, and slackjawed for a moment. This, was this even a school? Charlotte groaned as she spat out her most recent wad of gum and groaned. Charlotte began rubbing her temples together and let out a sigh.

With that, Charlotte strolled off albeit rather hurriedly after all she didn't want to deal with the horrible wrath of day upon her all that much. With agitated breathes Charlotte moved past others who were also gathered near the community bulletin board. She began scanning the board to see who she was going to be rooming with, and what her lack of classes facsimiled into some weird group thing were with.

Of course those weren't important, but she totally was going to need to talk to student relations about this whole 'missions and life and death scenario'. What was important were what pictures were up here.

First up was a fairly recent set. She could tell by the fact that only her clothes were showing in the picture; the lack of mirrors were nasty for her make-up routines. The second in the line-up were her head-shots from when she sent them out to various directors when she was not a bloodsucker of the night.

Charlotte glared at them. "Oh come on, they went here?! They should've been in Hollywood by now!" Of course her rage at that was short lived as she saw something that gave her pause. She was taken aback and her eyes and lips gave way to an intense trembling sensation. Somehow these creeps got their hands on a photo from her junior year notebook! Those day back when she hanged around with kids who were far more into black, intense make-up, hair dying and all the grungy rock music they could get their hands onto. And there it was, with her looking much like them.

So Charlotte did the only rational thing a person could do, grab that photo and tear it into ribbons.

Snow slowly walked up to the bulletin board, messing around with the back of her head, feeling where the gum was. Oh great, she thought, how many showers is this going to take to get out… She sighed and bit her lip, looking at the maps. She had a horrible sense of direction and was trying to figure out where the dorm hall building was… most likely the one on the right. Her eyes went to the group list. So she was with Leon, Torrin, Evelyn and Sakari. She believed Leon, from the picture of him shining by his name, was the wolf who said hello to everyone. He was sociable, not unlike a wolf, but strange that he was socializing with clans so much lower than him.

Snow gulped reading the brief line about their faculty supervisor. Aleva Bryning. A phoenix. She had never met one before… At her coven meetings where the went over current clan procedures and different information, some of her fellow witches talked about their employers. How some Siren wanted her walls enchanted to change color with the seasons. Or a wolf wanted an enchanted guard so humans didn’t enter a part of the forest. But no Phoenix had ever hired anyone in her coven… Snow bit her lip when she saw who her roommate was, her hand freezing in her hair. Nonononononono...

That was the face of the vampire girl who had thrown gum at her hair. Tears threatened to spill. Would she be bullied for the next three-four years?! Oh maybe she could get someone else... ANYONE else... oh nonono... Snow took in a deep breath, trying to find something to distract her from her panic.

She looked to the girl next to her, clearly a dragon even if Snow did not have her natural magic ability. The female dragon had a look of horror on her face, curious enough for Snow to turn and look at what could have frightened a DRAGON… “Oh what a cute baby photo. Is it you?” Snow asked, smiling with the thought that a baby photo couldn’t be THAT bad. Right?

Dro Sicarii

Can she help me? Eh?

More or less confused on how to respond that, Dro waved and stepped off without another word.

"Madeleine? I swear she said Madejin before...." he muttered to himself, scratching his head in confusion.

Unity huh? Sounds nice and all but since when has any group of people ever been able to unite unless an even greater enemy bearing down on them forced them to set aside all grievances? Or maybe that's my own cynicism.

"I'M FROM THE WOLF CLAN!"
"AWOOOOO!"

Dro right then and there, decided that this....Leon person........was someone he was going to spend some time annoying. Anyone who is THAT happy about anything can't blame others when they decide to rain on their parade. It's a natural reaction. Like breathing you know? It's just...wrong....to be so pleased with EVERYTHING. It's....unnatural.

He approached his poor companion....or Genie....or whatever she was or wasn't to him, sparing her a glance of curiosity for he had never seen a Genie before. Not that he could remember at least, but then that didn't mean much since he hadn't seen many things in the first place.

"You know, if you're even half as intelligent as you are loud...." Dro said trailing off at the end, implying that he didn't think such a thing was likely.

He only vaguely noticed the Vampiress throwing a fit over her picture. Dro remembered then that he hadn't even seen a picture of him. Not surprising of course. In some ways, he wasn't supposed to even exist....well depending on who you asked. Still, the Vampiress was definitely not what he would have expected from a Vampire. He'd always imagined brooding figures, or the sarcastic stoic types like himself....or at least what he self-proclaimed to be. Or.....something. Well, that's vanity for you. Maybe he wasn't the typical Vampire either.

Krr
"Rrruruuuaaa." Krr chirped with an ear to ear grin before reached over to give Matyr a friendly, albeit rather hard brush of the gloved knuckles, brush down on her head. "Mos kand thang a Savage Outsider evuh dun said. An if'n ya'll wangon gardes yer shovel, s'fine. Y'aint gunna dig much witout assayer tho." Krr blinked for a moment before scratching their head as the speech began and the outsiders explained things.

At this point the swamp creature decided to let the savage outsider named Oricly head off on their merry way before realizing. They done said they were blind. Krr couldn't let a blind folk, even a savage outsider, try to get to whatever the other outsiders wanted to do alone! Krr was taught only the finest of manners from Rrak.

So Krr quickly flung its massive appendage around the shoulder of Matyr and kept a toothy grin. "Since y'dun wer so nice, lemme aider ya t'da otha Outsider Savages!" And with that snug grip Krr began escorting Matyr towards the bulletin board.

Martyr groaned softly. He was far more than thick-headed. She was glad when he started leaving. She made her way to the building, once again using her staff to help guide her. She closed her eyes and saw him placing an arm around her. Her eyes snapped open and she attempted to move away from him, but her reflexes were not fast enough. She found herself nearly pressed against his side. She audibly groaned and attempted once more to push his arm off.
"Do not feel so inclined to help me because I am blind. I have lived my years with little aid and survived just fine."
She walked faster, trying to lose the boy. She really didn't appreciate it when people assumed she needed help simply because she was blind. She understood human's obsession with making sure she have aid at all times because they didn't know she had magic that allowed her some aid when seeing, but the other Hiddens should know that she had at least something to help herself.

"As the stories say, yeah! But we're not much more wispier than a cardboard cloud," Sakari joked, watching with a bit of surprise and laughter a few minutes later when Leon threw his head back in a proud howl.

The Wolf clan. They were equal in power to the Phoenixes, right? Or, no, just below them in the hierarchy of clans. At least, she was almost sure that's what her mother had said. Other than that, she honestly had no idea what him being a Wolf meant or what being a Pheonix meant. Nor much else other than a brief history and many angry and pained comments about the Sirens and Dragons.

So, when she saw the pride in Leon's eyes, her smile subsided away as her mind drifted to her thoughts. How could she ever be confident enough to express herself like him? Like any of the others around her? Many of them already seem just as sure of themselves as Leon, knowing their clans well and their place amongst each other.

But I don't. I don't know my place. What did I get myself into? Should I have agreed to go? Would Mom have sent me anyway, or would Dad have argued to let me stay?

The idea of her parents arguing about such a thing would have surprised her. Her father was always accepting and patient of everything thrown at him from living with Hidden, and he'd always taught her to be the same with everyone, even before she'd ever learned she was a Genie. Even when the other few genies gave him bitter and threatening looks behind his wife's back, he always put on a brave face and smiled. He knew his place, but always smiled and encouraged her to do the same, no matter if she were human like him or not.

Growing up alongside the human children in her small hometown, everything had seemed so wonderous and magical. From the beautiful snow and ice coating every surface to the cute little animals scurrying around to the ominous frozen forests and lakes, it all seemed so unreal as a child. And then she'd been thrust into the real world at the surfacing of her first signs of power, opening her eyes to see everything in a new light that the humans of her town never could.

So, when her mother began to talk to her about Prapos, how she'd said it would be perfect for her daughter to truly learn how to harness her abilities and understand her place in their world, to help prevent future wars, she'd been excited. Elated, at the prospect of being able to train and practice and even meet her older brother that her mother always spoke so highly about, she'd agreed.

But now? In this moment? She was terrified. Beyond petrified. There were threats all around her. Not just the faculty standing before them with such intense, powerful gazes, but the students, too. She was scared she wouldn't be as brave and accepting as her father wanted her to be; afraid that she'd lose herself among this young group of Hidden just as her mother had after the war for her clan's freedom.

It was only when an approaching figure stopped beside her and Leon did her thoughts dissipate like a storm-cloud of furious smoke. Looking up at him as he gave her a curious glance, she told herself to relax and follow the flow of the wind until she's ready to blow it herself, offering the stranger a friendly smile.

It seemed his words of greeting weren't as friendly as she'd hoped and she feared they might spark an argument with Leon in case they came across wrong. Sakari knew, at least, that she would have been upset had someone said that to her, whether they had intended to cause that emotion or not. But, she knew she wouldn't judge this guy for something he'd merely commented on as it seemed actions and much stronger words were a show of true personality.

So, keeping her smile, she looked up at this new character and acknowledged him as she stood beside Leon, "Hey, I'm Sakari Hitkar-Bear. It's a pleasure to meet you!" The young genie introduced herself, offering her hand out to shake his in greeting.

"Eldro, Eldro... You wouldn't happen to be related to Zorud Eldro, would you? Dark-skinned, thick eyebrows, oddly small feet?"

Lucy went through the motions of the con, but her heart just wasn't in it. Sure, the premise of the school had been shady from the start, but she had hoped it was at least a (misguided) effort to teach these power tripping children the value of an olive branch. Huo, crusty old bastard that he was, had clearly gone senile if he thought they'd score some triumphant victory over the puny humans this late in the game, just by putting some spoiled elites through boot camp. More importantly, was she seriously being grouped with Minaz? That idiot could barely function within his own clan, much less a mixed gathering. Barely five minutes in and things were already looking bleak.

Oh well. Might as well make some quick cash before this whole thing crashed and burned.

It was transparent what Dro's intent was for Leon who had at that point been engaged in conversation with Sakari. He had, of course, realized that his voice carried quite the distance. It was this way that Leon, despite his inability to use telepathy, still managed to be a strong communicator within his pack. Not to mention, his howl also doubled as a war cry. As jovial as it must have seemed to others, it was as much a challenge to the school as much as it was a greeting.

The words the vampire said were obviously directed towards Leon, yet he approached Sakari first instead, telling her the same. Leon saw this as backhanded and cowardly. There was no way this man was a wolf. If he were, Leon would have him excommunicated until he had proven himself. Of course, to a lesser species, Leon couldn't do such a thing, even if his clan truly were in power. His companion, Sakari, however, seemed to handle the situation fairly well. Leon wouldn't have dignified the vampire's impudence in such a way.

Leon placed his hand on Dro's shoulder. "HEY BRO. WHAT ARE YOU SAYING BRO? IF I'M AS INTELLIGENT AS I AM LOUD, THEN WHAT? FINISH THE STATEMENT. SAY IT TO ME. SAY IT TO MY FACE BRO." Leon puffed up his chest, his hand going from Dro's shoulder to his collar. For a moment, he looked genuinely intimidating, until he put the vampire down. "JK, I'D NEVER DO THAT TO A BRO. WHAT'S UP? I'M LEON."

“Oh what a cute baby photo. Is it you?” asked a girl now standing next to Hope. Somehow the simple question crashed through Hope's deafening bloodrush and broke her paralysis. The deep red blush that had colored her entire face drained away in almost an instant, leaving her face pallid.

Someone saw.

The world stood still. An eternity passed as Hope turned to face the owner of the voice she'd heard. Blonde. Short. Weak. Unimposing.

Nobody can know.

One hundred plans crashed against her consciousness at once. Bury her in the garden. Ask her how she's doing. Burn her until nothing remains. Take her out for tea. Beat her bloody to make an example. Fly away and hope nobody follows. Rip her stomach out and shove it down her throat. Act like I didn't hear her.

One plan screamed loudest in her ears, an instinct born of manners and honed through games played in her years of seclusion:

Don't make a scene.

A forced smile began to spread across Hope's face. A slight twitch developed in her eye. Her arms reached up to cross, then fell back to her sides. She tilted her head, then began to put the plan amalgamation to action. "Y-yeah, that's me... And you will tell nobody. It's a bit p-personal. Just a p-p-prank. Yes, a prank..."

The stress seemed to break what little remained of Hope's composure. She seemed to shrink into herself as she raised her hands to the top of her head, hiding her face with her forearms. In a voice just barely above a whisper she continued, "Just a prank. Just a prank. Just a prank..."

Torrin immediately bent down to retrieve the girl's notebook. Maybe it wasn't so bad. Maybe it could be saved? But no, the notes had already bled through the pages. Thoroughly embarrassed, she handed the notebook back. "I--I really am v-very sorry. But, but, look, it'll be ok though, see?" Torrin lifted her phone up and started taking pictures of everything on the board. Now she could look it all over at her leisure. She showed the phone to the girl. "S-see? Notes. And, and I can get you a new notebook, cuz I have extras and I like notebooks, and, and I can write all this down again for you, if you prefer to have it on paper. And, and, and look at that! We're roomies!" Torrin gave a nervous chuckle. You can shut up now! Way to go, jackass, she berated herself. Way to put your best foot forward. Just run people over, ruin their stuff, and then gibber jabber their ear off. Smooth. Jackass.

Dro Sicarii
dRO.jpg

In response to Leon's obvious attempts at intimidation, Dro could only yawn.

"You know, if you wanted to intimidate me, it's best that you choose a method that I'm also not capable of myself" Dro said, amused at the wolf's "lifting" him up, as if super strength and glaring eyes was impressive to anyone.

Dro copied the wolf's move, grabbing the wolf's collar, then putting it down, and doing as the wolf did.

"Like you said, I would never do that though. We're supposed to be friends. Unity and so on. Oh, and I'm sure you knew who I was talking to, so why would I need to say it again? Getting in the faces of others is a playground method".

Dro considered that it wasn't wise to anger wolf's, not because of any fear on his case, but because Wolf's and Vampire's were the closest of allies. But remembering his own low opinion about his own clan due to the past, this meant Dro had no reason to play nice with supposed "allies" either. He gained nothing from it and he lost nothing either. Still, not sharing his name with it was rude, even Dro admitted that.

"Yeah I know who you are. I'm sure everyone know's now. You weren't too shy about that. I'm Dro Sicarii. Hopefully we can get along, or something like that" he said to the wolf.

And as for the Genie.....

"Sakari Hitkar-Bear was it?".

What a mouthful. This is why nicknames were invented.

"Good to meet you as well. I guess I'm going to take my leave now. Enjoy you're evening" Dro concluded, sneering at the wolf just for good measure.

I can't help it. Seeing him in such a good mood makes me want to ruin it. Guess that makes me less than a good person. But then is anyone truly good?

He thought it best to meet those on his group at least before he retired to his room, however the closest two to him was either the Kitsune, which he was not quite prepared mentally to do, lest he lose his temper, and the other was the Vampiress. Either one posed a problem, but if he had to choose to bite one bullet or the other....

A frown on his face, Dro sidled up to the vampiress.

Well, might as well attempt to make a good impression.

Sticking out his hand, he eyed the comically upset vampiress.

Over a picture? Annoying.

"Dro Sicarii.....and you are?'.

"Eldro, Eldro... You wouldn't happen to be related to Zorud Eldro, would you? Dark-skinned, thick eyebrows, oddly small feet?"

The young succubus girl pondered for a bit, having a brief moment of silence. Gotras was surprised to find that this girl knew more than most little girls. She even pronounced it correctly, Zorud, rolling the "r" perfectly, then moved into the "oo" sound instead of saying the guttural "ud" sound that most other people did. Gotras' family name was known by many, he assumed. Eldro was a prominent family in the clan. But, it seemed unlikely that a youngling, such as herself, would care about anything related to the anatomy of a clan, let alone a "hard-to-pronounce" first name.

Father always hated that rumor, his feet weren't small. They were averaged sized. Well, at least that's what he told me.

"Why, yes," Gotras said. "He is indeed my father."

"How did you come to know this? Usually, young ones like yourself don't pay much mind to those who are gray-haired."

The Headmistress in front began to speak, compelling Gotras to be silent. She gave a short speech that included the normal formalities. Why they were here, training would be hard and to be prepared. That sort of thing. She ended her spiel by mentioning the group and room assignments for the students. They were all posted on a bulletin board not far from the entrance.

"Shall we go see who we are to be grouped with?" Gotras asked. He didn't actually mean that as a question, more as a statement. He was very eager to see who his roommate was.

Gotras walked over to the board and scanned it for his name. He ran his finger along the names.

Group A... No... Group B... Ah! yes, here I am. Wait, four names? Four roommates?

Gotras glanced around the board slightly confused.

Oh, wait, nevermind. Here it is, "Room" assignments... "Leon."

Gotras looked over his shoulder, trying to see if anyone looked like a "Leon."

I guess I'll meet these people later, we all go to the same place I would assume.

Gotras remembered the succubus still hanging to his body.

"Still haven't got something to call you," Gotras said. He held in another chuckle.

Oddly small feet... What a stupid rumor...

Sakari's eyes widened in worry as the guy replied back with just as much threat as Leon had given. The last time she'd seen a fight was when her neighbors had had an argument with their visiting friends over icefishing and it had gotten way out of hand. Even then, they'd both apologised to each other when it was done. But with Leon and Dro, she wasn't sure how well they would get along after this encounter. Not the greatest of first impressions.

However, trying to ease any tension as Dro bid a farewell, she smiled politely and nodded to him before looking back up at Leon after he'd walked away. "Hey, don't focus on him. Maybe he was just joking and didn't mean anything by it, or he's not good at socialising?" She offered, hoping to placate her companion in case he was thinking of going after Dro. "I don't think he was right by edging you on like that, though, but I guess not all of us will end up being friends here, yeah? I think you're a really nice person!" She added with a genuine smile, hoping to help her potential friend feel more cheerful after the shared threats and insulting tone of Dro.

Sakari then turned to look around them, trying to place names to faces of their group. "Should we try to find the rest our group first or split up to find our roommates?" She asked Leon, unsure if there was a certain protocal to this. Of course, he probably wouldn't know either since they're both new students, but it couldn't hurt to ask. Plus, he probably had a preference in seeking people out before they all headed inside and anything was better than standing in one spot any longer to get left out when the other students had begun their search.

It looked like Dro was trying to play the tough guy, perhaps even trying to impress the genie somehow. After all, it was her that he went to first. How deceptive. This was not what ticked Leon off. Even if Dro were a wolf, which he likely wasn't given how scrawny he was, it wasn't as if Leon didn't have the strength to back up his claims. Even among wolves, Leon was fairly strong. He had to be. After that encounter, Leon began to ponder how much longer he could stand being around common blood. Although one might have been able to speculate his relation to the clan leader by his last name, Leon didn't seem to want to lord that over anyone.

"YEAH BRO! SEEYA LATER! I HOPE YOU HAVE A GOOD SEMESTER BRO!" Leon waved Dro goodbye. That was weird Leon thought, why would he show up just to start a scene and then leave? The guy talks a big game, but so far, all he's been is talk. Something in his gut told Leon that this was not the last he was going to see such a man. Leon had met people like that before. Leon had always been the pack alpha thus he was no stranger to challenges to his authority. This meant this scrawny boy was probably going to ask Leon to fight him, probably more than once.

It didn't seem as if Leon was going to catch a break any time soon, though maybe it was better that way. He'd get to be on edge in a way he could never be around his own kind. "ROOMIES CAN WAIT" He answered Sakari with a big, bright smile. "I'M SURE WE'LL HAVE ALL NIGHT TO GET TO KNOW THEM. I THINK FINDING OUR TEAMS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THOUGH. THEN WE CAN START FORMING STRATEGIES WHEN THE MISSIONS REALLY START. GIVE US AN EDGE. YOU KNOW?"

Madeleine was a little surprised by the boy walking off without saying a word. Was keeping her eye closed still not enough to protect others from her Eldritch powers? Covering her eye with her hand, she then kicked the salt away to break her ward and made her way to what she assumed were the dorms. "Sim sala bim." She mumbled another set of words as she wondered why such an important school wouldn't explain these things to the new students. "Sim sala bim." Wouldn't people get lost? Well, surely at the very least the doors would have nameplates. "Sim sala bim." Or so Madeleine hoped at the very least. If not, her wards would be finished much later than she wanted them to be. "Sim sala bim."

Galynthia
Galynthia tucked one of many loose strands of hair from her ear, gnawing on her lip. Everybody seemed busy talking to everybody else... she didn't want to intrude. Back home she would get snapped at for interrupting a conversation. But... Galynthia realized as she stood silently to the side that this was the first time she would be exposed to people her age for an extended amount of time.

Might as well get used to it.

She looked at the dorm assignment again and then headed towards a hallway, hoping it was the right one. Galynthia made her way up the steps before promptly tripping and falling on her face. Ouch.

"Ouch," she muttered, picking herself up off the ground and looking around quickly to make sure nobody had seen. "How embarrassing. Try to be a little less clumsy, Galy."

With red cheeks and even more strands of her lengthy brown hair, Galynthia brushed her clothes off and picked up her suitcase. While the fall had been something Galynthia wouldn't enjoy repeating, it had broken a bit of the tension she felt. A corner of her mouth tilted up in a small but humorous smile.

Guess I literally fell for this school. On my first day here, too. She snorted, blushing even more and clapping a hand over her mouth, hoping nobody heard. Geez, Galy, have a little dignity.

She shook her head, still bright red and smiling, heading for where she assumed her dorm would be.

Evelyn smiled when the incubus boy reacted kindly. She was afraid he would be upset about her comment on his horns, but luckily he didn’t mind. Her eyes lit up when he said ‘demon.’ The girl knew what he was, but it was interesting for it to just roll of the tongue like that. They were probably a misunderstood group, so she assumed that all of the gross things her friends back at home told her were untrue.

The elemental clan as a whole was never very accepting with other clans besides the witches. Her family was one of the few families that actively tried to find peace. Her friends had much different opinions. They believed any inhuman clan was only looking to take advantage of the human ones.

When he kissed her hand, the girl was a little suprised. She thought it was sweet, but also very forward. She didn’t seem to mind, however. “Azazel, huh? That’s a badass name. Goat-god, biblical antagonist vibes. I’m into it!” Evelyn had a lot of little mythology tidbits stored in her brain, from the stories her parents used to tell.

“So,” she smirked out of curiousity. “I just have to ask, what do you do? Besides, like, the energy sucking thingy.” She was referring to ability. “I mess with electricity,” she said. Evelyn was quite content with her abilities. To demonstrate, she held out her hand and allowed energy to release a little, like spiderwebs of lighting running between her fingers. After a few moments, she stopped and let her hand fall back.

"Really? You're the son of the one and only Zorud Eldro?", Lucy responded, feigning surprise, "Well, pardon my rudeness! I'm Lucy, of the Venus family. Your father always did business with us, back in the 70's..."

(Don't forget, they fudged your documents. You're not even drinking age now.)

"...Or, so mother tells me. Come to think of it..."

She pulled an official-looking bank book from the hot pink fanny pack strapped around her waist, flipping it open with one hand.

"Eldro, Eldro... Oh, dear.", she mumbled as she paged through it, just loud enough for Cyclops to hear, "This isn't good at all, now is it?"

Galynthia
As Galynthia strolled through the hallway she heard a muttered: "Sim bala sim".

"Eh?"

With a look of curiosity etched upon her face, Galynthia walked up to the direction of the voice. Her eyes brightened when she spotted another girl, who seemed to be the owner of the voice, still muttering and carrying a large staff. Galynthia cleared her throat to announce her presence, hoping she wouldn't startle the woman, who seemed to be very concentrated on her... mutterings.

"Symbolism? Cymbals in? Simple sims?" she repeated, trying to discern the female's words. "Ah..." Her voice petered off. "H-hi, I'm Galynthia Aash. Sorry for disturbing you, I can leave..." Her sweet, clear voice trailed off hopefully, making it obvious that Galynthia did not, in fact, want to leave.

Soraya

The easiest way to find her new roommates, Soraya considered, was waiting for the crowd to thin out and begin her hunt then. As everyone began shuffling off into private conversations and expeditions into the school grounds, Soraya gave the bullettin board a second glance.

This Lucy girl looks... really young, Soraya thought, why isn't she being roomed with, like, her chaperone or parent or something? At least it'd be easy to find her-- just hunt down the only adult in the crowd and she'll be nearby, right? With that, Soraya set out to hunt her down. How hard could it be?
