"Humans we three Ancients will bestow upon you a gift of power and the gift to form a bond with one of our kind. With this bond it can not be forced when you find your destined dragon you will both know." The large silver winged dragon's deep voice rumbled over the man and woman. They nodded slowly, "With this gift we trust you to help us and use it well." Spoke the blue aquatic dragon goddes her voice was softer than the others but her words held great meaning. The large silver brown dragon spoke the blue ones hidden words, "If you ever try to use these powers against our kind you will lose that power and become normal once again. And die because the dragon in which you tired to kill will kill you with ease before any elf could do so." The male and female both nodded once more, "How will we spread this along to others, these powers?" Arputi smiled taking her human form, she walked over to Zefra and then Borsten taking a bit of their blood and mixing it with her own. Then headed for the two humans, "I, Arputi, grant these humans the ability to tame a dragon of any kind. Zefra and Borsten also grant this wish of ours with their blood." The blood in her half shifted webbed hand seemed to grow warm before cooling down. She looked to the male, "I grant you, Felix Reinta, this bond of which I speak. But you shall carry the burden of passing on this ability to others. Do you accept? " Felix nodded, and Arputi took one clawed finger, dipping it into the mixed bloods. She then began to carve a dragon design that started at his wrist and went up his arm. The bloods of them all mixed and soon the wound healed leaving behind the mark she had carved. She turned to the woman, "I grant you, Kelly Hendil, this bond of which I speak. You as well shall carry the burden of passing this gift to others. Do you accept?" Kelly nodded, "With my whole heart..." Arputi smiled doing the same as she had done to Felix only Kelly's marking was placed on her forehead. The simple flower could be seen but under her longer bangs ran thorny like vines. Kelly and Felix then set off to fulfill their goal. Never seeing the Ancients again until they died from old age. By the time that happened almost every human that had remained was awakened to this new life. Those that hadn't awoke yet did so when the Ancients made contact with Felix and Kelly's spirits. Granting the two First Bloods their wishes for having done such grand jobs while they had lived. To this day the Ancient Dragon God's speak through one of the Chosen. Sometimes even making an appearance with in the communities that their precious children live in.

Darrin Holloway - Tamer - 94 - Dragon: Taken
Darrin walked through the house a somber look showing on his face. He glanced down a hall that led to two bedrooms, one for a boy and the other for a girl. He then turned and headed towards a different room inside the room was a picture of four people. Walking over to it he brushed the dust from it slowly. It was a picture of his family, at least when they had actually been a family. Now it was just him in this empty house, alone as usual. He sighed as memories came and went. "B-brother can you come play with me..." His sister asked timidly, their mother laughed softly, "Amalia he has to train with his father. You know how important it is that we learn to control our powers. Especially when our powers can be more dangerous than others." Amalia pouted for a little bit but nodded, she was young and her powers hadn't shown yet. But it was probably going to be something that lied within the darkness of the world.

He had just sat down on the steps in the abandoned house, a few mice scurried across the floor. He glared at them as dark tendrils rose from beside him snatching the mice up. "You don't belong in this place...no one does." His voice was bitter as he spoke those words. Even though the two mice were squeaking out of fear he didn't kill them. He simply stood once more and opened the door, the dark tendrils set the mice on the dirt outside and they ran away. As he watched them run off a different memory took hold. Amalia had been running as he had told her to, "Brother!!! Help me!!!" He had turned at her shout and that had been his greatest mistake. A silver blade found it's home through his side. He gasped as the blade was ripped out falling to the ground. Clutching at his side to try and stop the blood flowing out of his body. "BROTHER!!!" He heard the scream but he couldn't do anything, he was having a hard enough time trying to focus now. He felt so powerless, only wishing that some miracle would happen and his sister would be okay. As he laid on the ground bleeding out, his sister's screams eventually vanished. A miracle hadn't happened though, he came too and his wound was dressed. It had given him hope that his sisters power had awoke and she took them out. Instead he had been met with a blonde haired blue eyed woman who went by the name of Jade. At first he had attacked her not being fully aware of who she was. He figured she was part of the Scorpix Gang, but he had been wrong.

Darrin walked off the porch to the house and turned looking over the sad building that once had been a beautiful happy household. "Will I ever find you Amalia...are...are you even still alive?"

Elros Lirve - High Elf - 113
Elros sat up in his bed and glanced over to the window letting light seep through. "Yet another day for me to deal with people I do not wish to see." Elros didn't want to deal with the other few High Elves who worked on running one of the largest cotton mills currently booming in business. Even though he was of Noble blood himself his mother had raised him to treat others equally. Yet she wasn't here to see him as he was, nor was she here to give him advice on how to handle the other pushy and ungrateful one's of Noble blood.

He stood up stretching a bit before heading to take a nice warm bath. Of course he always used his powers to make the water just how he wanted it. He just wanted to relax, but that wouldn't be happening. Dealing the high elves wasn't the only thing on his mind, today he and a few others also had to meet up with those working on the transcontinental train. Things were definitely moving along well with it, the only problems were funding and placement. Those who were working on this long steam powered train had a lot more on their plate than he did. Still though this was going to be a talk about them helping to fund the train, and possibly help settle peoples minds. He rubbed his face before standing in front of the tub and filling it with water with his powers. It was a bit hot, but he liked it that way, the heat could massage out all the tension he already felt after just waking up.

Jade Zerin - Tamer - 96 - Dragon: Open
Jade's head bobbed just above the water of the small lake as she floated. Usually she would stop at an hotel and stay the night. But the passed couple of towns she had found had been ran by elves. And though the fighting between the races had somewhat slowed down it definitely hadn't stopped. Her blue eyes looked up to the skies as she floated, her blonde hair flowing behind her. At first she had just planned on getting cleaned up but an early morning swim just sounded wonderful.

Jade often wondered what the world would be like if they could all get along. She smiled softly reaching her hand towards the rising sun, "That would be the day...then I wouldn't have to worry about the next elf I were to heal." She watched a bird flying through the sky for a bit before she flipped over and swam for the bank. Swimming in random lakes meant random people could show up at any point. While she knew this, it wasn't like she was bashful her body had been seen by male and female a like. But it wasn't anything to be proud of, the scars were what made her hide her body from others.

She had a lot of scars all over her body from different people and they had came from dragons, tamers, and even elves. It was to be expected when healing those with major injures, most weren't in their right mindset. Though most elves in general didn't take to kindly to a tamer healing them or perhaps they just didn't understand it. The other scars however were from when a tamer had gotten ahold of her and used her. Something her mother had warned her about and she hadn't paid much mind to. Some thought that by drinking the blood of a tamer with healing powers it would make them live longer and also heal any wounds they got. That wasn't the case but it still happened, even some elves had taken part in it paying a good price to cut into her and drink her blood.

She stood up clearing her mind from the memories and grabbed a towel wrapping it around her naked body before walking over to go get her soap. Had she been thinking she would have placed everything closer to the water. She grabbed a bar of her favorite soap, it was lavender and honeysuckle scented and harder to come by. She headed back for the waters leaving the towel hooked on a tree branch once more. Wading in until the waters came to her waist she soaped up, washing her body first and then slowly working on her hair.

Xander Trino - Dragon - 1342 - Tamer: Priscilla
Xander glanced around, there didn't seem to be anyone nearby so he changed from his human form to his dragon one. Taking to the skies for a fly before he planned to head back to Priscilla's side. While he didn't mind letting her ride on his back with her being pregnant he was worried. Worried that she might get sick or dizzy and fall and then that could lead to him having to catch her. Or her getting so sick that she couldn't take care of the baby within her. He didn't want that, he wouldn't be able to live with himself if something happened to Priscilla or her child.

He circled in the sky, the sun warming his body further. Under the sun the glowing of his body was almost nonexistent but during the night or swimming in darker waters he stood out like nothing else. He had yet to meet another dragon who looked remotely like himself. Though a small part of him did hope he would find a dragon similar to him one day. He only stayed in the skies for a bit longer before landing once more and heading to were Priscilla was most likely sleeping still or doing things she didn't need to be doing. They were currently staying in a small hotel of sorts ran by a nice Tamer, but they probably wouldn't stay long. Xander sometimes wanted to look at Priscilla and tell her to settle down especially with her child. But he did enjoy the freedom of traveling around, so he never spoke up about his thoughts.

Mentioned: N/A
All eyes were on her. It was a mistake coming to this town, and an even bigger one getting involved, but Amilia couldn't control her hand. Her knife was pressed against the throat of a man who had a young elf girls throat in his hand. His own knife was pressed to her ear, and he was planning on cutting it off before he small woman dressed in white intervened. He couldn't see most of her face, but her eyes, crimson fires burning into his soul was all he needed to see. "I said drop your weapon," he threatened, earned a cocked eyebrow from the silent girl. She did nothing, her eyes still burning into his. "It's just an elf, a pest! Nothing more, why do you care? Why are you trying to stop me!"

"She's a child." Amalia growled, her voice low. She caught that his tensed up, causing her to pressed her knife closer, as she simultaneously took a small step forward. "You do not harm childern." Amalia was going to kill him if he tried something, without a doubt she would. And, since nobody had stepped in so far, she would have a chance to escape easily. "No matter the amount you were promised." His eyes widened slightly, surprised with either her words, or perhaps the gravity of the situation had just dawned on him. Let go of the elf child, who fell to her knees and began coughing harshly. Amalia withdrew her blade. "This is the part where you run," she warned, waiting a few seconds for the message to click, before she got the joy of watching a coward run away. Her attention would then turn to the elf girl.

"Why did you save me?" She sputtered, managing to regain her feet. Amalia once more remained silent, giving the girl a shrug, before going to dig something out of her pocket. "Are you a Tamer?" Amalia glanced to the girl, not stopping her rummaging. "The mark on your arm. It's a tamer mark, right?" Amalia nodded. "You don't have a dragon?" She shook her head, pulling out a few coins for the girl.

"Get out of here. Go find an elf village and stay there. It's not safe anywhere else." The girl nodded, taking the coins and running off in the opposite direction the man went. Amalia remained in place, taking a moment to put her knife back in its sheath, and pick up her sword from the ground that she dropped when she first saw what the man was doing. It had infuriated it, she was still infuriated. To the point where she could see what likednto be a dark shadow creeping up her hand. She clenched her fist, and turned in the direction the man went to leave town.

If she went pyshco, she didn't want to be in the middle of innocents.

{Minaya Faux - Dragon - 53 - Wild}
In her human form, Minaya Faux entered a small human village along with a caravan. While she preferred to be on her own, it paid to check in with local human populations for news, particularly elf related news. Plus there was a few refined foods that she enjoyed that she couldn’t get in the wild. The first place to check was the local inn.
Inside the inn was loud and packed with travelers looking for food and drink. The young dragon pushed her way through the crowd and perched a drink and some cheese. She managed to get a table to herself and set in to listen to the crowd. It was noisy, but she had a special talent with sound. She picked up bits of information here and there, gosip mostly. A few useful bits about new logging sites going up that she would need to avoid. She would need to speak with the inn keeper to see if he had gotten more information, but that could wait until after she was finished with her cheese.
“At least these monkeys know how to make good cheese.” Minaya thought as she enjoyed another bite.

Ꮐlaci Ꮯaerulio ≽ Ꭰragon ≽ 128 ≽ Ꭲamer ➙ Ꮑone
Glaci walked into a bakery, currently in her human form, of course. The lovely smell of sourdough graced her, causing the pain in her stomach to worsen. She hated that she had to do this. There was no other option. The poor bakers were just tamers. No powers of their own. It was a family business, too. But alas, the pain in her stomach was greater than the pain of taking a single loaf. She waited patiently in line as customer after customer took their orders. When Glaci found herself at the counter, she had to draw in a deep breath. “One large sourdough, please.” She said, barely using her vocal chords. It was almost like one long sigh.
“I-I’m sorry, ma’am. What was that?”
“One large sourdough.” Glaci repeated, louder this time.
“Okay, will that be all?” The lady asked as she reached for the loaf and took it from the shelf.
“Yes.” Glaci said. This was it. Her throat got dry and her heart began to pound, as it did every time. She’d been doing this for over a hundred years, why hadn’t she become desensitized? She was a dragon, dammit! She could hunt for food! She’d tried that. She can’t kill. The first time she had tried she ended up getting a mother doe. Of course there was no way she could’ve known, but seeing those terrified baby deer had brought her to tears.
Now was not the time to be thinking about this. With a deep breath, she looked up at the saleswomen with dead eyes.
“Okay, your total will be-“
“-Thanks.” Glaci said as she grabbed the bag holding the loaf.
“Uh. Your total will be-“
Glaci extended her other arm at the lady, encasing it in a bright blue flame. She knew she couldn’t actually shoot it at the lady from the palm of her hand, but she didn’t plan to. She didn’t look at the woman, instead at the ground beside her.
“I said thanks.” She repeated, beginning to walk away.
“Ma’am, you have to pay!” She called after Glaci, though a hint of fear was unmistakable in her words. Glaci’s head whipped around to stare at the saleswoman. She took on a half-form, blue flaming wings sprouting from between her shoulder blades.
“Did I stutter?” The dragon repeated in a low voice, though on the inside she was horrified at herself. She didn’t let any of that show. “Bake yourself another loaf.”
With that, her flaming wings beat down and lifted her off the ground. She reverted to her dragon form in mid-air, claws still holding tight on the loaf. Too bad the butcher in this town wasn’t well off. The baker was, that’s why she settled on just bread. She may be a thief, but she wouldn’t steal from a struggling family. Glaci’s wings stopped beating, and she glided herself into a forest a few towns over. It was near a different city, one that she noticed had either a hotel or apartment complex. Either way, tamers. Oh, how she longed to have a tamer. Someone to feed her. Someone to talk to. That was all she needed.
Glaci toned down the flames that burned on her legs to prevent from burning a tree. The air dragon landed on the ground and folded her wings. She ravenously tore open the paper bag and began devouring the bread. The amazing flavor was like nothing else. The crunchy crust and fluffy inside were perfect. No wonder the business was doing so well. She finished the giant loaf in three bites, but it was enough to satisfy her.
With the loaf finished, the dragon resumed her human form. She emerged from the forest and walked into the city. Mainly with the purpose of scouting out the next butcher to steal from, but also finding a tamer.

Okil Brightscale
The dragoness was stalking through the forest, her many heads scenting the air, trying hard to pick up a trace of prey. Finally, she tasted the musk of a moose. She followed the scent, half of her heads looking for a trail while the other half searched the air. Suddenly, the trail stopped. That was when she realized that there was no moose. A scrap of antler lay in the clearing. She growled under her breath, stepping closer to examine it. As she moved, a snapping sound echoed throughout the forest, accompanied by a lance of pain streaming through one of her necks. She looked down, and realized that one limb was down, dragged to the forest ground. A lance was sticking out of her eye. She realized that her head had been killed.

Okil swung her massive bulk around, her heads lashing around angrily. She leaned onto her haunches, thrusting up to see through the trees. As she whipped around, one set of eyes caught movement in the forest. She roared and gave chase. The creature scuttled away, swinging through trees by vines. Then, it stopped. Okil ripped down the oak separating her and her assailant, and stopped. It was a human. He seemed to be praying, down on his knees. She waited no longer to snatch him in one of her claws. The human screamed in its gibberish. She snarled and bit off its head. Smoke emanated slightly from her hide, creating a thin sheet of darkness around her. The remains of the human were tossed down her throat. An easy meal, though she had lost on limb. She didn’t worry. The trailing limb would come off with her next shedding.

Glaci whipped around, having heard a battle in the forest behind her. It seemed as if it was finished quickly, the dragon being the assumed winner based on the tamer’s cry for help. Part of her wanted to turn the other way and run, but the other part thought a strong friend would be beneficial. It did get lonely most days, maybe this would be someone to talk to? She could tell by its roar that it was some form of hydra with multiple heads. Hydras are very commonly powerful. Taking a few steps back into the forest, Glaci reverted to her dragon form. She kept her wings folded against her side, and ventured into the trees. Her head turned back and fourth, until she spotted the multi-headed dragon. “Quite the impressive win, I must say.” She complimented with a small dip of her head. She walked closer. “It was over quickly,” she said before noticing the dead limb, “shame about that, I’ve never known how much that must hurt.” She said, eyes returning to the living heads.

She stared down at what was now a corpse, his face almost not recognizable. Amalia had accident caught up or the man from early, and he had just gone and pushed his luck a little to far, and it had set her off. In truth, Amalia didn't remember what she had during her little episode, just his screams. They still echoed through her head, causing her to stumble back a little, looking down at her hands. Covered in blood, and hints of the shadowed form she could take on, she didn't want to stay like this. She, she couldn't stay like this, not so close to a town, not so close to other people. Once she made this decision, Amalia bolted, hurrining off further away from town. That as the fourth time that had happened in the past three weeks, it was getting harder to control herself. It wasn't a good thing, but she couldn't bring herself to just end it so she could continue hurting people.

Her breathing was uneven, panicked almost as she knelt down by the stream, washing the blood off her hands, before falling back on her ass. She needed to sit there for a while. Amalia was lost, she didn't know what she was going to do, or where she was going. Honestly, she wasn't doing to great. Amalia however was pulled out thought when her stomach growled. With a sigh, she stood, and began to all through the forest. It didn't take her long before she stumbled upon a large house. It looked a little run down, but as she approached the back of it, she would take note that it was abandoned. Hopefully, she thought as there was a loud glass smashing sound, there truly was nobody home, and she could rumage without worry.

Priscilla walked calmly through the forest, feeling the soft dirt under her and between her toes. Taking a deep breath, she sighed. It was nice to have a dragon that cared for her, but sometimes he got a little too...protective. Yes she was pregnant and yes she could sometimes...SOMETIMES...get herself into trouble, but she was the speaker for the water dragon god and she couldn't be locked away forever.

Hearing a roar and a cry for help nearby, she decided to investigate. If this involved dragons, she needed to know for her position. "What is going on here?" She asks stepping out from between trees after walking for a bit longer. Both dragons she saw were beautiful, but the hydra was immense and powerful. Phoenix Feather Phoenix Feather hostage hostage

Okil Brightscale
Okil snapped her jaws shut with a satisfying crunch, the flesh of the human sliding down her *main* gullet. As she was swiping her tongue around her maw, the sound of another approaching caught her attention. She took a step back and swiveled to face the voice that had spoken.

Her many heads whirled around, the hoods along their necks opening with a flourish. She narrowed her eyes and bared her teeth before she realized that it was another dragon speaking. Okil relaxed slightly, taking in the other’s more relaxed appearance.

At the remark about her dead limb, she nodded. The biggest, or main, head came forward, as to give the dragon something to focus on. “It was quite the waste,” she hissed. “And only a single dead human to show for a lost head.”

Yet another sound drew her attention, and she looked past the first dragon. Low and behold, another stranger. “Nothing much. Just the death of another petty human,” she growled. She spawed at the spare leg from the human’s body before grasping it in her teeth and swallowing it.

Darrin Holloway - Tamer - 94 - Dragon: Taken
Darrin sighed, "Who am I even asking, it's not like someone can tell me if she was." He turned heading towards the back of the house to make sure the back door was locked. Half way though he heard the sound of breaking glass and tensed. He should have been the only person around here, a black tendril came out of thin air. It swirled around his arm under his sleeve in case he needed it. When he came around the corner of the house his tension grew more. His red eyes glared at the broken glass on the now opened back door, someone had dared to break into his families house! "Now I'm going to have to fix that..." He whispered softly before pulling the door open more doing his best to avoid the pieces of glass. He didn't want to alert the intruder as he somehow managed to silently get in. They surely wouldn't get far, were they planning to steal things of worth? Perhaps they only wanted shelter or food but if they knew it was abandoned food was out of the question. He turned a corner and found his target, someone with long black hair and looked to be female possibly. "What do you think you're doing." He said bitterly.

Elros Lirve - High Elf - 113
Elros got dressed in the nicest clothes he had before heading out. On his way out a lower elf approached him from a car. "Mr. Lirve my boss would like meet up with you before the meeting with the others." He said stepping to the side with a slight bow pointing to the car, "If you would come with me Mr. Lirve." Elros glanced to the car and back to the epf before him, "Do I have much choice in the matter?" He muttered, the lower elf flinched slightly but followed after him. He stopped looking at the man, "A Model T and you guys are in need of funding I can see why." His blue eyes stared closely at the other noble elf, the noble just chuckled, "Please get in and enjoy the ride Mr. Lirve."

Elros sighed but did as asked, "So what do you want, are you hoping to sway me into being like the others who wish to fund you." The man gave him a fake smile, "Not at all I just thought we could chat for a bit. Mr. Lirve could you tell me why you oppose giving us funding. After all it is for a good cause, making this transcontinental train will help many travel great distances." Elros sighed, "We provide you with the funding to make this making you richer and what do we get out of it. Your side hasn't offered up one bit of thing that will benefit my side." The noble chuckled, "Ahh I see so you are actually just as avaricious as the rest of us." A faint blue hue came from the arm band, "You will watch your mouth, I have no such hopes, I only wish for my business not to be ran into the ground trying to support you. And for you guys to not be as avaricious as you all are."

Jade Zerin - Tamer - 96 - Dragon: Open
Jade finished cleaning up and smiled as she put clothes on. Nothing was better than a nice long relaxing swim and then getting cleaning up afterwards. She laid back in the grass and the sun warmed her body and slowly helped to dry her hair. Though her relaxing didn't last long as her stomach growled, "Geez...I wish my power was something like never having to eat. That'd be an awesome power, then again I would be able to help all the people I've helped so far." She stood and grabbed her musket and something dark yet shiny caught her eye. She walked along the bank of the waters heading for the shiny object. As she got closer she knew what it was and froze,
"That..." Before her was a black dragons egg that had gotten caught by a few branches in the waters. Stopping it from flowing farther down the stream, "I better get it out of the water...but if this is here should I leave it..." She frowned, "This is close to a village of elves, maybe some dragons had an unfortunate accident. If thats the case I can't just leave it here." She reached down taking the egg out of the water. To her surprise the egg was still warm which told her that the little one inside was still alive. "Well that's good...maybe I should wait here for a bit maybe your parents will show up... Though if they do I hope they won't attack first and ask questions later...are you possibly a shadow dragon? Your the first black egg I've ever seen." She spoke softly to the egg wondering if the little one inside heard her. White light came from Jade as she sat the egg down gently. The warm light circled the egg healing the little one inside if it had been hurt on it journey. They sat like that for about a good hour before Jade stood, "I don't want to take you from your parents but if they haven't shown up yet then I can only think the worse has happened." She crouched down looking the egg over before petting it, "Guess that means your coming with me little one. We will venture back here every day for about a week to see if they show up. If not then...then I'm raising a baby dragon...." She said rather nervously.

Xander Trino - Dragon - 1342 - Tamer: Priscilla
Xander made his way back to the place they had been staying, he walked in the room. "Hey Priscilla what would you like to eat?" He asked as he closed the door behind him, there was no answer. He opened the door to the bathroom but she wasn't in there. Looking back in the room his stomach twisted in knots, "Please be in town getting something to eat..." He turned sharply running out the door of the room and then out of the hotel completely. Panic set in his mind, "She shouldn't be moving around on her own...what if something happens to her of the child." He closed his eyes trying to filter through all the scents but there to many. He looked around forever catching what he thought was a bit of her scent before it vanished. "Priscilla where are you?!?!" He practically screamed inside his mind, "Answer me now woman!!!" He knew it had been a stupid idea to leave her on her own. She never listened to him saying he was to much of a worrywart. He was glad they had a mental connection, the least she could have done was told him she was going out.

{Minaya Faux - Dragon - 53 - Wild}
As the influx of travelers began to quiet down and file out, Minaya finished her little treat. She overheard some news on elves seen in the north, but little of interest in the immediate area. Maybe the inn keeper would have something worthwhile. She picked up her empty plate and cup before heading to the bar. Half way there, a human came careening through the door and ran into her.
"Damn this form!" She thought as she hit the ground, her plate and cup flying off in their own directions.
"Oh, sorry, miss!" The young man said, looking worried.
"Yeah, yeah." Minaya muttered as she caught up the still spinning plate.
The young man moved quickly and got the cup before offering the disguised dragon a hand up.
"Let me give you a hand." He said in the same apologetic tone.
Grudgingly, Minaya took it, though stiffened slightly when she found a small parcel there. The young man pulled her up, subtly ensured her hand closed around the passed off parcel, then took her plate.
"I'll take these up." He said. "Least I could do. Sorry again, miss."
Minaya only grunted a reply as she made for the door as fast as she felt she dared without drawing attention. What had she just been handed? Did someone know what she was?

Astaroth 'Ash' - Dragon

Astaroth was terrified. As young as she was, she'd been hurt before by the predators that roamed these lands, usually because the tiny dragon had wandered into their territory or because the predator was starving too. Scars already marred her tiny, skinny form, most from near misses where she'd almost become someone's lunch. It wasn't like she could fly, she didn't know how, and it wasn't like she even knew she could shift into a bigger, human form. No, she was tiny, and defenceless, and her only comfort was the frost that encompassed her scales whenever she curled up to sleep.

But now... now she was running. Another predator, something that flew though not a dragon, had dove for her, and it's talons had already caught her left wing to catch her. It was torn and bleeding, the delicate membranes damaged to the extent where she couldn't even try and catch air under it as she could with her other, and it's strong grip had snapped something. She'd managed to squirm free though, as his claws tore daggers through her wing, and was running as fast as she could now, sobbing in pain as her wing dragged behind her. It followed her, and she screamed as claws caught her back as it tried again, slicing through her scales.

She needed to find a place to hide, and she ran as fast as her tiny, damaged body would carry her, skidding under a bush and cowering as she made soft, scared and pained sounds.

Elros Lirve - High Elf - 113
"Come now Mr. Lirve, no need to get so defensive. I do not intend to run you company into the ground if I did that then my funding partner would vanish. And you are a very important partner, or at least I would like for you to be." Elros frowned, "Well I suppose that is fine then." The car came to a stop in front of the most fancy restaurant, "Would you like to eat Mr. Lirve?" Elros sighed, why did noble always want to throw their money in others faces. "This isn't you trying to bribe me is it?" The noble smirked, "No I think we have already chatted to what I was hoping for. Think of this as my sign of good faith and let me buy you a nice breakfast."

Jade Zerin - Tamer - 96 - Dragon: Open
Jade sighed as she held the egg close to her chest, "I'm going to need to find an actual home for live in now...no bouncing around. Then again the place I'm staying is an abandoned house and it's near this spot so...maybe it'll be okay to live there. I can fix it up and get new stuff for the rooms and bedding. I wonder if this child will be male or female." She laughed softly at herself, "On the bright side once you hatch and are able to talk I won't be simply talking to myself. I do that a lot so you better get use to it now." She said before taking a run on to a dirt trail that led up to a little log cabin. It had two rooms and the living room and kitchen were connected. "It'll work out just fine once I've cleaned it up a bit and it'll be harder to find. Perfect for when you are growning up, not sure if you guys have control over your dragon shifts at a young age or not." Jade walked into the house and looked around, the only clean blankets right now were the ones she had been using to sleep in. She grabbed a couple of pillows placing the egg on them before circlong it with the clean sheets. "That should work at least until I get back. I'm going to go double check and make sure your parents really aren't around." She said gently stroking the egg once again. "Stay safe little one and don't go hatching while I'm gone. I can't have you moving around in this place just yet."

Jade stood heading for the door, she glanced behind her to the egg before walking outside. On the inside Jade was panicking a bit, she didn't have any idea on how to raise a dragon. Did they eat meat to start or would it need milk? She had never been around baby dragons before expect one's that were 5 or 6 needing to be healed. She sighed as she walked back to the direction of the lake. If the parents were there then that would be a relief is not then she was just going to have to learn hands on. On her way back to the spot she did a more thorough check of the area. Making sure that the parents weren't just really deep sleepers. But she had no luck, she went to go back to her now make shift home and paused. Her ears somehow picking up the sound of soft whimpering. "Please let it be a wounded animal..." She whispered under her breath, but her gut seemed to tell her otherwise. She tracked the sound down seeing a small trail of blood that led to bush. Now that she was closer the pained noises were from none other than a baby dragon. She saw the blue tinted scales, "Hey little one...come on out no one is going to hurt you anymore." She said softly extending her hand towards the small blue dragon. She could see the blood from here and it made Jade's heart ache. Was this little one part of the nest for the black dragon egg?

Astaroth 'Ash' - Dragon

Ash was sobbing, her little, broken body cowering under the cover of the bush, blood pooling around her. She was in so much pain, and she certainly didn't dare to move out of the bush. She looked at her wing, running her tongue over the torn membranes and whimpering in agony. She slumped where she was, frightened that the flying creature was still out there, just waiting for her to come out so it could snatch her up for it's breakfast. She'd never been hurt this badly before, and she had no idea what to do.

She froze, hearing thudding footsteps of something far larger than her. She shrank back as a shadow fell over the small spots of light coming into the bush, and tensed as she saw a woman peering in at her. Another predator? Was... Was this one going to eat her too? Despite the reassurances of no more pain, Ash bore her teeth in fear, hissing as she opened her good wing, trying to make her tiny, injured form look bigger, sobbing again when it pulled at the wounds on her back.

But... Then she caught a scent. Why did the woman smell like an egg? She liked eggs, used to bounce around them as she waited for them to hatch, so she might have a friend. She... She wondered what had happened to them all. But if this lady smelt like an egg... then Ash had to save it! She had to pretend she was agreeing to come with the lady, so she could save the egg! She whimpered, and slowly stumbled from the bush, trembling.

Jade Zerin - Tamer - 96 - Dragon: Open
Jade thought that the frightened baby dragon would bite her. Not that it would hurt to badly, but then the dragon seemed to realize something. Once the little one was out from under the bush she could see the full extent of it's injures. "You poor thing..." She leaned closer to the baby dragon a gentle white light swirling around the two of them as Jade worked to heal the wounds. Jade felt the same numbing hum in her mind when she had been using to much of her power. Before these two babies she had also healed and elderly traveler who had fallen and broken a couple of bones in his leg. In the midst of healing him she had used a bit more power to make the older man feel young once again. So she knew she was reaching her limit, she focused on the dragon's wing. It healed with no problem, then she focused on the other wounds. The one on the little ones back only healed a bit for the the white glowing magic flickered out. Jade slumped over holding her head as a headache came along. "I'm...sorry looks like I've reached my limit. It probably doesn't help that I haven't ate anything yet. Um...once I eat and get you home then...then I'll finish healing you. I'm sorry I can't heal you fully I used my magic on a dragon egg I found. Thinking on it now I wonder if you two are family. Your older so maybe you know something..." Jade said with a small yawn, using a lot of her powers in a short time span always made her sleepy. "Will you come home with me little one?" She asked gently reaching out to rub under the little dragons chin. "I can't just leave you here on your own after all."

Her stomach began to ache as she rumanged through the empty cupboards and cabinets, hoping to find something, anything. She just wasn't having any luck. A growl left her throat, as she turned to leave before she heard the distinct sound of footsteps. "Damn it." Someone was obviously there in the house, and had heard the sound of shattering glass. Her
hand darkened as her heart rate accelerated. She can had her fist, keeping her back turned to whoever it was that entered the kitchen. When they did, she didn't turn around. She stood there, still as a statue. Amalia's form began to distort. "I'm simply looking for something to eat. Nothing more," She replied lowly, slowly turning around. She started down the man, her eyes burning, but dull. "I'll leave."

Astaroth 'Ash' - Dragon

The young female squealed in fear as Jade reached for her, pausing at the white light swirled around them, gasping in awe. She chirped, flapping her good wing, squeaking in pain as the bones of her injured wing reset, blinking as the tears repaired. She gasped, flapping that wing, whining at the pain on her back but overjoyed that her wing was in one piece again. She squealed, her trust in the woman clear now that the woman was clearly helping her. After all, why would someone help her if they were going to eat her later? Why give her a chance to escape? She felt something happen also to the wounds on her back, peering at them. They hadn't healed, but the bleeding had stopped, and she whined softly.

She realised why when the woman slumped over, and immediately, though slightly warily, pushed her head against the woman's hands, whining. Why was she holding her head? What was wrong? Her words made sense, but the idea of food made Ash's entire body tense. Food? Was... Was Ash the food the woman wanted? She trembled, but realised that the woman couldn't heal her after if she'd already eaten Ash! And she had an Egg! An EGG! Which Ash wanted to see soon.

She didn't really have to think, she just nuzzled against the woman's palm. She'd go with her, though she doubted she had much of a choice.

Darrin Holloway - Tamer - 94 - Dragon: Taken
Darrin glared at her, "There is no food here, but I'll now have to fix that glass you broke, so thanks for that." He sighed, "My sister would probably get on to me for not bothering to help someone...." He muttered under his breath, he sratched the back of his neck looking her over. "If you want food we can head into the town that is near and I can by you food." He said looking the girl over, he didn't know who she was but she was lucky it had been him. Others would have acted first and probably hurt or killed her.

Jade smiled as the little one seemed to show a bit of trust, "Don't worry I'll be fine after a little bit..." She said petting the dragon a little bit more. "Are you hungry, do you eat meat or drink milk... If it's meat then I'll need to hunt something down." It was moments like these she wish that a tamer or dragon could mentally communicate freely. But it only worked with the dragon meant for the tamer. She stood, her head ached but other than that she was fine. She held her arms out to the little one, "I'll carry you if you want for you can walk beside me if you aren't too tired."

Astaroth 'Ash' - Dragon

Ash, tiny and skinny as she was, didn’t care what she was fed. She’d survived off what little she could ever get, horrible tasting berries and already dead animals when she could rarely get her own claws into it. She didn’t care what she ate, or what she should eat, though some food had made her sick before. But it felt all too good to ram it down her throat, to be full for even a moment, that she believed it worth it.

Arms were opened to her as an offer, and she shakily, yet eagerly, pressed into the embrace. She was still frightened, but this person was being nice and was the first creature to not immediately try and kill Ash since her parents. Her parents, whom Ash still hadn’t realised had died. After all, her young mind had believed them to be asleep, and believed they’d find her soon. She just had to wait.

Stooped over a hoe, pale brittle hands clasped around the wood as the figure moved rocks out of the way to ready the soil for planting. Crudely made, the hoe was nothing but a piece of sharp wood with leather lashed around a few sharp rocks at the end. Rocks that no longer smelled of the sea from which the figure had retrieved them. A bag made from the tanned hide of an antelope, small gemstones and shells woven into the bag, hung from the shoulder of the stooped figure. The bag had a few seeds wrapped in leaves bound with twine.

Were any to approach the person, they might see that the figure in question was severely malnourished. Further inspection, should one get over their surprise and shock, they would see two other things. One that the figure was a woman and two was that when she stood, the faint outline of a tattooo could be seen on her shoulder when the strap on the bag slipped, pulling down the tattered sleeve of what must have been a dress of fine quality but was now torn and grimy from years of dirt. A mark that any with knowledge might recognize, the mark of a tamer but there was no sign of the woman’s dragon.

Ping’s back cracked as she stood, leaning against the hoe as she lifted a hand to pull the strap of the bag up only for it to slip from her body and fall to the ground with a soft thump. She stared at the bag, making no move to retrieve it as a wave of nausea hit her, dropping the hoe and staggering towards a nearby tree which she sank down against. Back pressed against the rough hewn bark, Ping waited for the nausea to pass. She could only guess it meant the child she bore within struggled to live. Whether that was equated with her being a tamer or not was not of knowledge to her.

Zefra watched the female tamer as she worked hard. She had been the last one to be with his speaker and now his speaker had vanished. He wasn't blaming this tamer, he just had hopes that she might now where his speaker was. He materialize beside the woman in his human form afraid he might scare her otherwise. "Female tamer I must speak with you." His deep voice said still making the air seem to rumble around him. He waited for the woman to look up at him as she rested under the tree. His red eyes looking to her before he looked to the work she had been trying to do by herself. She was a strong woman indeed, but she wouldn't be able to do this on her own.

Jade Zerin - Tamer - 96 - Dragon: Open
Jade held the little dragon close to her body as she made her way back to the abandoned house. "The place I'm stay at isn't much but it can be fixed up. And if we ever had to leave it we wouldn't really have any attachment to the place. I only plan to stay here in hopes to find the eggs parents and now I suppose your parents as well." She said looking into the blue dragons eyes, from what Jade guessed this dragon was a a frost dragon. The coolness of it's body and the color made her think so, so it made sense that the two dragons weren't related by blood. "When we get there can I trust you to watch the little egg, that way I can go get the two of us some food? What sounds good rabbit, squirrel, deer...maybe getting a deer would work better. I'm not sure if dragons are born with teeth. If I need milk for the other one I hope I can find it with ease. But if it hatches with teeth then having some meat saved up will be a good idea. Also you are probably starving after having to run from whatever bad things you had been running from." Right as she finished talking they stood at the door of the house, "Well I suppose for now..." She opened the door letting the baby dragon look around. In the center of the floor was the black egg circled by the covers and pillows. "Welcome home babies...." Jade said with a soft smile to the dragon in her arms before smiling over to the egg.

As Ping rested against the tree, her eyes rested upon the forest surrounding her, glancing briefly at the bag she’d dropped. Made from the hide of an antelope from the empire her twin had brought down, its adornments gathered from travels through the empire she’d taken with Hailong.

A rumbling in the air caused Ping to lift her gaze and turn her head, meeting the crimson gaze of a stranger whom appeared beside her. At first the woman’s body tensed, eyes scanning over the man before her, but he looked nothing like those whom had captured her nor of the tamers who had gone against their emperor. The man spoke and she placed a hand against the tree to support herself as she slowly got to her feet, leaning against it when she was done as she tried to place the stranger’s face.

“Tamer.” She has not heard that in a while...the last to call her such being the sky speaker. For a brief moment a look of pain crossed her face as she finally placed the red eyes.

The door was roughly pulled open, a pained cry echoing through the underground place, darkness flooding every inch of the place. A harsh voice...a kick...the sound of someone falling and then silence but for screams and cries to be set free.

Somewhere above the slam of a door and footsteps moved through the darkness, harsh breathing echoing within the walls. Out of the darkness a tiny flame appeared as the malnourished woman bent over the angry and frightened person. Eyes lit upon her own, the flame sputtering but giving a glimpse of Ping’s face and then lighting on a torch before dying out, turning away. “Tamer! “ came the shout, the figure seeing the marking on the woman’s shoulder.

Ping turned back, and stared at the figure. “I have not been a tamer in years. Nor called such in half that. Why are you special?” A frightened voice answered her, the torch dropping between them. “Sky speaker?!”
