Punctuality was of high importance to the Coopers, one might say that they were overly prompt. Noel recalled that for their last family trip, his parents insisted they be at the airport six hours prior to departure. The vivid images of being stuck at JFK for six hours danced around his brain. ‘That was fucking awful.’ Thought the blonde as he gazed out the window. The scenery zipping by as his father went well over the speed limit. His eyes steered to the front seats just in time to see his father run a red light. "That was yellow!" His father exclaimed, feeling the judgmental glare from his son and wife. Noel and his mother side-eyed each other, no words needed to be exchanged. Noel could fathom why his father was speeding, they were going to arrive at the port four hours before departure. The icy eyed drummer wasn't entirely certain if they'd even allow him to board.

The tires screeched as Mr. Cooper turned into the visitor drop-off parking lot. Executing the perfect park, Mr. Cooper took the keys out of the ignition. Noel hopped out of the car before his parents, trekking to the backend of the vehicle. He gave the trunk lid a few taps, gesturing for his father to pop the trunk. Pulling two medium-sized suitcases out, Noel placed both on the ground. Noel didn't want his parents to walk him to the ship, knowing his mother she'd probably ask if they had any available suites and try to persuade the staff into allowing her to board. “Alright, bye, see you in a few days.” Noel snatched his luggage and began to skip off. “Oh honey please remember to not drink any water once you dock!” his mother shouted. “And clean the glasses in your room, you know I don't trust those dishwashers on board!” added his father. Noel gave them a wave of acknowledgment.

As he approached the boarding area, he was immediately stopped. “Sorry we aren't boarding at the moment.” a halting palm was nearly centimeters away from his face. “I'm with one of the bands.” Noel argued, his fingered pointed into the distance, from afar one could see crew members hauling his set. “Those are my drums, my dad had'em sent here separately.” The handsome blonde flashed his boarding pass. The crew member scanned the pass and stepped aside. Noel knew that the first thing to do would be to unpack, then hit the bar before it got crowded, the deck tended to be crowded once the sail-away party began, not that he minded crowded, in fact, he loved crowded. Sail-away parties were the highlight of cruises in his opinion, it was also the perfect opportunity to scout potential hookups. ‘Does this cruise have a club?’ he questioned as he entered an empty room and tossed his luggage on the bed.

That question would have to be answered later because the bar was beckoning him. Noel enjoyed a drink (or seven) while he waited for his bandmates to board, he knew he would be one of the first to arrive, thanks to his mom and dad. After a few hours flew by and he had yet to be greeted by his lovely friends he thought it was best to go search for them, and it didn’t take long to find them. Every single last one of them were huddled up in the hallway. “Heeeey frieeeeeeeends.” he exclaimed as he approached the group, just as he entered a pretty blonde exited. Mildly toned arms wrapped around Lacey’s shoulders. “You didn’t come looking for me. What kind of band mom are you Lace?” he pouted jokingly. The pale-eyed lad took a moment to digested the group. He didn’t know half of them, but he didn't mind getting to know them. “I heard Z say something about drinks?” said the blonde in a questioning tone. Noel always believed body shots to be the perfect way to get to know someone.

Location
Hallways --> Freaking out in his room

Interaction
Z iShyShy iShyShy
NYC Fanaa Fanaa
Greeting Zander, Lacey, Nala iShyShy iShyShy MadiRaiCat MadiRaiCat @Kitsune2202
Elijah grinned when Z of course called him out so easily on his little stretch of the truth. "Oh no, traffic is also to blame. And of course the fact I was not let onto the ship cause they thought I was on the ship already." That little touch and wink earned the other a smirk as he let his fingers play over the others chest when the bag was taken for him. "Can you imagine? Them confusing someone with perfect hot me." He gave a playful, arrogant hair flip, before his gaze traveled onto the rest of the people that were there as Z gave very quick introductions, allong with the warning they were from Solasta. So Samantha was probably close.

Never before had the guitarist wanted to be more wrong in his life, but he was proven right as she rounded the corner. That everlasting smile on his face was immediately wiped off and his sparkling hazel eyes immediately darkened. All it took was perhaps a milisecond of seeing her. That voice. It made the hairs in the back of his neck stand up. It was like long nails on a blackboard, or a sharp fork on porcelain. A banshees scream. Those same colored eyes for a moment connecting with his. She seemed afraid, or at least shocked. He mentally scoffed, yes he had not needed her at all in the end. She had made very much sure of that. His gaze didn't let go off her, he was watching her every move like a hawk watching a mouse. All of it seemed to go in slowmotion for a moment. As if there was no one around but them. Until suddenly NYC's voice was there, cheerful and laidback as ever. And with the bitch fleeing away and gone, his smile came back again.

"I am starving!" Elijah spoke with a grin, as if there had been no interruption from Samantha. He was not one for drinks, the band knew that. Samantha would know why. He regretted how much he had shared with her, how much she knew of him. Lacey was more or less aware as well. And though Z frequently asked, he had never given him a real answer. He didn't want to bring his trouble and sad past into their relationship. Z was his fun, his distraction. And this band was his future and he didn't want that to be overshadowed by his not so happy home. Even though it did provide a lot of inspiration and music, so those who listened closely knew he had not had the easiest past. Their fans and the press often enough tried to pick apart his lyrics. Some times they were very close and sometimes they couldn't be more off. "I am just gonna put away my babies, and then I will follow you guys," he said. No Samantha was gonna stop him from having fun with his band, plus he had noticed the way Z eyed that brunette. It would be fun to see him flirt and fail. "Good to see you too, man," he said as he stepped past NYC to where he assumed their rooms where.

Once alone and with the door fallen close, the male made sure that his guitars were safe, before he let go. "That stupid bitch," he growled between clenched teeth. He had all forgotten about the fact that Z was most likely following him with his other bag. He stared out of one of the windows while shaking with held back anger, betrayal, sadness. There were even tears that rolled down his cheeks now, for whatever reason. He grabbed the pillow from his bed and threw it through the room. After all he didn't want to cause any damage so early on. "That freaking snitch!" He grabbed the next pillow and randomly threw it towards the door with all the strength he had. "Fuck!" He stood shivering on his legs and slowly went to sit back on the bed. The next pillow that had been ment to throw, now getting smothered in his hands as he hugged it against his body.

Lacey heard a familiar voice from behind her, and immediately turned to face her fellow band mate. "Hi Eli," she said with a smile, giving him a one-armed hug before stepping away again. Out of all the guys in the band, Lace had known Elijah the longest. His smile never failed in lighting up a room, and his personality matched that energy perfectly. She had heard a small inhale earlier from Z next to her, but didn't bring it to anyone's attention. Zander and Elijah had an interesting relationship, and because of that, Z sometimes seemed a little protective of him. It was adorable, in Lacey's opinion. But they were both her friends, and it wasn't her place to meddle. Even the way Z took Eli's bag from him and stood slightly in between the two groups was cute.

If there was one thing Lacey was good at, it was picking up on other people's emotions. She was empathetic, receptive, an overall good listener. She knew how to read expressions and body language fairly well. So it wasn't hard for Lace to noticed how uncomfortable Sammie seemed to be as soon as Elijah entered the hallway. It wasn't long before the blonde whispered something to her band mates and disappeared. Lacey felt for the girl a bit. But from what Eli had told her in a few of their venting sessions, she was at fault for the end of their friendship. Lace had always been the one the S.I.N.ergy boys vented to, and she really enjoyed that. It was like she was the band mom, keeping the peace, giving advice, and making sure they drank enough water when they got drunk.

But on the other hand, the guys really didn't know a lot about Lacey. She rarely talked about her past or her life outside of the band. She was happy, outgoing, and sweet on the outside. But sometimes on the inside, she was an anxious, terrified mess. Those feelings were reflected in her song book, in lyrics no one had ever read and probably never would. Arms wrapped around her shoulders, causing Lacey to stiffen ever so slightly before she realized the arms belonged to her friend and drummer of S.I.N.ergy, Noel, better known as NYC. She offered him a sarcastic smirk and replied, "I knew you'd find your way here eventually. You don't say lost for long." Playfully ruffling his hair a bit, Lacey turned her attention back to the group.

Though it was slight, Lacey did notice the bit of stiffness in Eli as he excused himself to put away his things in their suite. Even if he didn't want the rest of the world to see it, Lace still noticed. She shot Z a look as if to say that maybe he should go with Eli to make sure he was alright. With that, she let a bright smile curve her lips and addressed the group again. "I'm sure he'll catch up if we go ahead and head to the bar. I'm fairly certain it's that way." With that, the brunette singer ducked out from under NYC's arms and moved down the hall towards the bar. Once inside, she chose a corner booth big enough to fit all of them and promptly ordered a double whiskey on the rocks to ease the slight anxiety building in her body.

Z laughed lightly. “Sure, traffic. Whatever you sa- what do you mean they thought you were on the ship already?” His confusion didn't last long. His thoughts momentarily vanished as the enticing tickle of the other male's fingers flitted over his chest while he snagged the bag. With a playfully teasing tone he answered, “It's impossible. There's no way it could have happened unless the staff was blind.”

Z held a soft glare as he observed how Sammie, the person he knew caused Elijah the most amount of pain, turned the corner and seemed too afraid to face her guilt directly as she laid eyes on him. She quickly made an excuse to get out of that hallway and avoid hanging out with everyone. It would be better that way. At least Elijah could come and enjoy himself with the band. He didn't need to be anywhere near her and honestly, the moments waiting to see how he would react to her presence were petrifying. After being forced to suffer for so long Z couldn't even imagine what Elijah would say or do. Hopefully being with everyone would help him. At least, once they found NYC they would all be together and he would have full support. As he attempted to check on Elijah from his peripherals, all he was able to see were invisible laser beams coming from his eyes that quickly shifted into his charming smile in a heart beat. That change was scary to watch but Z knows Elijah is strong and probably forgot about Sam already. No matter how much Z inquired, Elijah wouldn't fully open up to him and Z has decided to give him the respect of keeping it to himself until he's ready to share. As long as band mom Lace was around, he knew everyone was in good hands.

Speaking of the band mom, where could the last band boy, NYC, be? He's never been anything but early so far and Z assumed that NYC would know to meet at the band's quarters so they could be together but after taking a minute to think...The bar. Duh. Z chuckled softly and practically could have smacked himself for not thinking of it sooner. NYC was probably already living it up and making friends with every person there. As quickly as the thought passed through his mind, the smell of alcohol passed him and the body wrapped around Lacey. He reached forward and smacked NYC gently on the back and teased. “Aww. You couldn't even wait for us to get started? No fair.” Lacey then teased NYC then ruffled his hair and it was the pinnacle of motherly love in Z's eyes. She is so loved by all of them for a reason, she's an amazing person in a multitude of aspects. She took care of them in every possible way, physically, mentally, emotionally, and was still just as fun and cheeky as they boys were. She could do it all but she also seemed like a hard book to crack open. She's never shown vulnerability and Z knows that the three boys would jump to her aid and do everything in their power if it ever saw the light of day.

Elijah voiced that he was going to put his things away and before turning to follow him, Z caught the encouraging look of Lacey. Her eyes basically shoving Z to get him to catch up with Elijah. She could tell something was up so Z gave her a quick acknowledging nod and smile. "We're right behind you. See everyone there!" The hallways was still filled with both bands, after all. He then turned to head to Elijah's room as he heard her say that they were going to head to the bar.

With the sports bag in hand he hastily walked to catch up with Elijah. How did he move so fast? He heard a yell that made him rush in worry. When he reached the door, it was slightly ajar. As he pushed the door open he was greeted with a pillow attack from the other side that kept him from opening the door fully. He blinked a few times and hesitated since he was not prepared but at the second yell he threw the door open to the sight of Elijah on the bed crying as he clung to another piece of fluffed up ammo. Z panicked, placing the bag down and leaping through the air, exclaiming “Elijah!” as he reached out to wrap his arms around the emotional male and force them both to lay on the bed. He squeezed the male in a tight embrace as he ran a hand through his hair for a minute. He wasn't entirely sure of what to do but he knew he had to do something. “Hey. Hey hey hey.” He tried to keep his voice calm and warm. “Listen, she's not worth it. That ungrateful doll of a person did terribly by you and she does not deserve even an emotional response.” He paused, unsure of if his chosen words were even remotely correct. “Elijah... Don't let her ruin anything else for you. Can I do anything? I can run and get you food maybe?” He poked the male's sides intermittently, picking up speed as he started to try to tickle him. “Or should I force that addictive smile back?” A quick jerk would get him to stop but at this point he was going to try anything and everything to cheer the other male up. He knew the others were at the bar and probably waiting for them but this is priority. They would understand once they knew.

There just seemed to be no end to this tears. Elijah had vaguely noticed the ajar door opening and someone coming in, but his emotions had taken the best of him. Strong arms curled around him and no matter how much he tried to fight the tears, they just kept coming. He had no idea why. Probably because of the whole turmoil of emotions. He had never given himself a chance to really close off his break with Samantha. He had just pushed it completely out of his heart, and now seeing her. God, it hurt. It hurt so much. It was like that night all over, like his heart was being ripped out. He breathed in the save scent of their keyboardist. That soothing sound of his voice, though he hardly listened to his words. It was so nice to have him here. Even though it was a kind of embarrassing to be such a mess at the moment.

Lacey would have been welcome just as well. Though the bandmom would probably have started to talk and honestly, Z's approach was working rather well. He jolted as his sides were poked, slowly at first, but those devilish fingers quickly picked up speed. His breathing hitching as he let out a soft sound between a sniff and a giggle, before he started to fend off those hands. Honestly Z was the best remedy against feeling down most of the time, no matter in what form. He pushed his hands away playfully, while twitching and laughing. "You are right! You are right," he giggled. His defense was not at all working, so he decided to attack the other back. However not by poking him, but he grabbed his shirt and pulled him down while turning. Effectively switching their positions a bit so he was straddling the other and he could finally grab those hands and pin them down. He probably should deal with this feelings at some point, but not right now. He did not want to ruin their arrival here. She didn't deserve that kind of power over him. Z had been very right at that.

"Thank you," Elijah hummed as he leaned down for a soft quick kiss. It didn't take long before that 'addictive' smile was back on his face. Or at least a misschievous one as he quickly gave Z more kisses where ever he could reach. The perfect counter attack against those tickling fingers. He didn't continue for long though. Or else it might develop into a complete different setting and the others were waiting for them. "I love how you always know how to make me feel good," he said with a wink. His hips rolling against the others body in a rather suggestive way, before letting go of those hands with one last kiss. A deeper one. He was blessed to have this male in his life. His whole band was quite a blessing. Lacey for the more serious stuff and to actually deal with stuff, but Z and NYC were perfect to make him feel good. Though currently Z still held a place a bit deeper in his heart than NYC. His bound with NYC different from Z, even if both were friends with benefits. Z and him seemed to be more on one line with their personalities. Plus of course they had known each other longer, a bit over 3 years now? While they had known NYC for, what? 6 months? Not much longer than that.

The guitarist got up from the bed and held his hand out to pull Z up from it as well. "Now, let's go. I wasn't kidding when I said I was starving," he grinned. He checked that his guitars were safe and picked up the pillows from the ground. He put them back on the bed, happy both had survive the throwing tantrum. It would have been just his luck to have a pillow rip and fill the place up with tiny feathers. He took a deep breath as he ran his hand a bit through his locks, messing them up even more. "Come, before NYC will bring the party here," he chuckled. He held the door of his room open and peered out into the hallway to see if the others had moved yet. Lacey would probably stop the drummer from doing that in this situation, but honestly it could be perfeclty expected from their newest member. Elijah had been a bit worried about the party animal with his undying love for shots, as Elijah didn't drink and hardly would even touch alcohol, but so far there had been no trouble. Though Elijah was pretty sure the drummer declared him crazy for not wanting in on fun that was called bodyshots, or alcohol in general.

(Samantha)

Location: Her room ---> hallway ---> stage/performance space | Mentions: Elijah ( DarkiusHeavenstein DarkiusHeavenstein ); Ash ( Elf_Ruler Elf_Ruler ); Bella ( myst.erion myst.erion ); Marissa ( Lizy Lizy )| Interactions: none

Samantha had never been the best at dealing with her emotions. She didn't talk, or seek out someone to help her deal with whatever thoughts flooded her brain. No, she lashed out, she cried, she screamed. Maybe later on, she could write something down and come up with a song or a decent set of lyrics. But back when she and Elijah had been inseparable, he had been her rock. Her sounding board, her everything.

Now what did she have?

Fame? Fans? A music career that had started on a lie?

Biting down on her bottom lip, she locked the door to her room behind her. Truth be told, she had everything she ever wanted. Her bandmates were amazing, too, on top of that-- but they weren't best friends, or anything. The friendship she'd had with Elijah was long gone, and she'd never have anything like it again.

Without warning, she kicked the corner of the bed, only resulting in sending a shockwave of pain throughout her body. Groaning, she blew out a sharp breath and dug in her bag for one of the mini liquor bottles she'd snuck on. Three of those later, she finally unlocked her door and ventured back out into the hallway, deciding to check out the performance space before the first show tonight. She'd tucked a few more of those airplane bottles into her bra and pockets.

It didn't take her long to find it, and thankfully, she didn't run into anyone on the way. The space was huge compared to what she'd been expecting. Circular, with a rounded video screen above the stage so that even those in the back could see the performers. Currently the room sat empty, though later on, it would be filled with screaming fans. She couldn't wait. Already she could feel the adrenaline kicking in.

Plopping down on the edge of the stage, she swung her legs back and forth, gazing out at the room. The first show wasn't for a couple more hours, so she figured she had plenty of time to drink in peace.

Ash had been ready to hang with the other band and get to know his competition but he chose to follow after Sammie. He'd get a chance to eat later and right now he knew he needed to make sure she was in the right headspace. He quickly went back to his room and grabbed his guitar hoping maybe a small jam before practice would help her. Just her and the guitar, it's what helped him. He would sing alone with his guitar to clear his mind and calm down. He went hunting for Sammie and was a little frustrated with the whole situation. Eventually he found where they would be performing and there she was just chilling on the stage.

He took a moment to just gaze at his friend, he knew they weren't super close but he cared about her and about the band. They were bandmates always and that came with a protection and understanding between all of them. He was careful and quiet as he walked to the stage. He was shocked at the sheer size of the location, it was the largest venue he had really ever seen for a ship. It was as big as any venue on land which was already astounding and meant the crowd was probably going to be quite large if nothing else.

He took to going on stage and sitting next to Sammie, "Hey, you okay?" concern was laced in his words, "I know we aren't best of friends but this is supposed to be fun and you should be having some fun too." he stated as he pulled his guitar to his lap strumming the chords of one of their songs quietly. Trying to see if she would take a small part of the bait and relax with him. He wanted her to know she wasn't alone in whatever she was facing. She had a whole band on her side that would do almost anything for her.

Z was holding onto Elijah as tightly yet gingerly as he could as the tears rolled down the sobbing male's face and dripped down. Sure he knew what happened and that it hurt Elijah but this was Z's first time seeing him like this. Completely vulnerable and allowing his emotions to truly show. Of course Z had wanted Elijah to open up to him more and had been asking for the chance to talk about how he feels through the years but he was not prepared for this. Even so, Z continued running his fingers through Elijah's hair while whispering soft hums and hushes to help soothe him. For some situations it's better to let the person in pain to just let everything out and it felt like that was the best decision at this point in time. Z was sure he would hear some remark about keeping his mouth shut about seeing this later.

Once the tickling started, it seemed to slowly bring Elijah's mood back up. Z heard a quiet escape of breath as Elijah tried to stifle his laughter but sure enough a giggle escaped his lips. He twitched to try to escape the tickle attack to no avail. Z's fingers were doing their magical keyboard trained work and sticking to Elijah's sides with relentless tickles as the other broke into laughter and tried to break free. Z laughed alongside the other male, “I know I am!” Happy to know that he was helping cheer up the formerly upset guitarist, he kept it up until he was surprised by a counter attack! “Wha-hey!” He was defenselessly pulled underneath the other in a position they were quite familiar with. It was always welcome, sure, but to happen right now was the last thing he would have expected. Yet his body was all for it. Hands pinned and blood rushing to his face and other necessary places, his eyes showed both shock and excitement as he wasn't sure what to do until the lips of both boys gingerly met.

Z cleared his throat to get a second to compose himself and return the amazing smile with one of his own. “Any time.” He didn't see through the mischievous smile and started chuckling as kisses fell all over his body. He squirmed playfully, “H-hey! Elijah!” But was enjoying the moment and each kiss he received. He would have almost forgotten why they were in the room in the first place if Elijah didn't stop. He wouldn't have been able to stop himself from continuing otherwise. Z grinned and bit his lower lip. “Thanks, I try. I've had some practice so.” His playful tone was cut short as he shared the deep kiss. A short moan was let out as Elijah made his way off of the bed...and Z.

Z grabbed Elijah's hand and was pulled onto his feet. “Alright alright but can you just?” He was busy fixing himself with a huge smile on his face from the embarrassment, success, and other aspects situation that wouldn't go away. “Give me a quick second.” His face was a light pink as the blush faded away. Regaining his composure from making himself presentable and able to go in public again, Z made his way through the door that was held open for him. “Very true. He's way ahead of us. I need to go catch up!” Z knew Elijah would only eat. Drinking was not something he enjoyed, which is more than fine. He was always around when Z needed an extra hand. Not that he needed it much. Z stepped into the hall, waited for the other to follow and made his way to the bar. In the empty hallway he belted out, “NYC! BODY SHOTS! BODY SHOTS!” If there was one thing the band knew NYC couldn't pass up it, was body shots, and Z had some ground to cover so shouting that comment should bait the other out quickly enough.

As the two approached the bar, Lacey was seen in a corner booth with a drink in her hand. Z made his way over and flashed her a very subtle thumbs up. Proud of me, mom? To let her know things went well and were better. He looked around. “So since when do you drink alone? Where's NYC? We're thirsty and hungry.” He pointed at himself and Elijah respectively. And truth be told he was thirsty in more than one sense of the word.

Getting his blonde locks ruffled by thee Lacey Ross was top tier form of platonic affection. “I did find you guys. I’m proud of myself.” the drummer stated, lips curling into a mirroring smirk to match Lace’s. Honestly, he felt like the entire group owned him a pat on the back, he had found them without causing a scene, just imagine if he had walked into someone room, worse, fallen into the waters before the ship even departed. With Zander’s welcoming pat NYC let out a chuckle. “I wanted to make sure it was up to you guys standard. You know I care about you guys.” More like he cared about getting hammered.

Elijah was the next to take off after the blonde female, despite being anything but sober, the air felt different, if only for a millisecond. Zander went trailing after the long-haired bang member, which was probably the best course of action. Shortly after Eli and Z went off into the sunset, Lacey removed herself from his hold and made way towards the bar. ‘Why is everyone leaving me?’ he jokingly questioned himself. NYC decided that it was best to follow after Lacey once Ash excused himself because God forbid he say something stupid to the remaining two members of Solasta.

Noel could hear his name in the distance, followed by his second favorite pair of words. By the time he had made it to the bar (after asking for direction roughly about four times), Much to his surprise, all the members of G.A.Y were present. ‘First of all, how did they get here so fast?’ he thought as he made his way to the booth they were occupying. “I’m here! Y’all ready to have a good time?” He was actually beginning to grow hungry as well. “Heard they have loaded french fries.” he stated suggestively as he slid into the booth. “So are you guys—” a hiccup interrupted his speech. “excited to perform on a big stage?”

Elijah smirked to himself, as always amused with the effects he had on the other. That blush on his cheek told him more than enough and that moan. Oh that moan had been music to his ears. He wouldn't have mind listening to more of it, but alas they had promised to come drinking. "That bad, huh?" he teased when Z said he needed a minute. He leaned back against the doorpost as the male fixed himself and regained his composure. Elijahs eyes sparkling with misschief and colored by some of that lustful lingering feeling. Perhaps after the show... For now, it was time for drinking. Pretty obviously time for alchol when Z's voice belted down the hallways. He laughed as he followed the other, ignoring some rather curious, surprised and even shocked expression from other people that stayed on this ship.

The guitarist followed Z in a far more calmer way. Though he was looking forward to drinking and fun with the band, and others. As long as Samantha would not be there it would be fine... And if she was there, he was gonna ignore her. He doubted she'd dare to come though. Not with that previous reaction. At least he had stood his ground. Never again was he gonna let her take away his fun. He smiled when they arrived at the big corner booth where Lacey was already sitting and drinking. "Sorry for the delay, but we are good now," he said. He didn't like dragging them along in his own misery. Not in this misery. This was the past. It should not deserve any more attention and he wished that it wouldn't take so much energy from him. Still.

Elijah slipped into the booth and over the couch so he could sit in the corner. He liked corners and all band members knew that. Besides Z and NYC where mostly running around doing crazy stuff so it was easier if they had more outer seats. "Very hungry, in several different ways," he hummed. He flashed Z another one of his famous smirks. One that he knew could make hearts stumble and flip around and bring heat to the cheeks and other places. He would never get enough of teasing Z. He didn't get much farther with it as NYC was there as well and their band was complete. "Ready or not, I doubt you will disappoint with providing a good time," he said with a chuckle.

"Ohhh French fries, that sounds already amazing." Everything that was food sounded amazing right now. He really shouldn't have skipped breakfast, and lunch, while being too busy with writing the last riffs for their new song. Thinking of that. "Right so the performance. I want to do our new song," he said. He straigthened a bit more up and came forward. "I was thinking we could start of with Worthless," he said. He pulled a little note book and a tiny pencil from his pockets. As a song writer you never knew when inspiration hit you, so he made sure to always have pen and paper. It was different from typing things down on a screen, it felt more genuine. Plus he could reread words he had previously scratched out and perhaps wanted to fit it again after all.

"Now that we are still alone, maybe we could go over the setlist. If you are sober enough for that," Elijah teased with a meaningful look to NYC. He had no idea how the drummer did it, but no matter how much he drank before or during a show or gig, he had never fucked up a song. Perhaps played a bit sloppier at times, but they all had their lesser performances. It never seemed to be caused by the alcohol. He wrote down a few more songs of them, though he let the others suggest things as well. "And perhaps we can end with our new song," he said, "I finally got the whole guitar riff down. And that is the reason why I was late." He finally admitted that. Though he still thought the cab driver had a big part in it as well.

Feet pounded against the pavement, sharp, frantic breaths escaped from dark glossed lips as Alma rounded the corner, heaving her scarlet luggage behind her.

She was late, oh god, she was so late. And she was never late, not too things this important.

Would the ship leave without her?

Her mother had explicitly called her to warn her the night before to set an alarm, a suggestion Alma had brushed off a little too easily. “I’m my own alarm clock,” she had asssured her, brushing off the quiet tuts her mother made in response, the sound further amplified by her phones speaker.

Truth was, that night Alma had been way to exhausted to dig out the box she’d packed her alarm clock in, way too exhausted to search for the phone charger she’d buried beneath layers of dark toned clothing. And her phone was on like 8%, do there wouldn’t be a phone alarm either tonight. She’d be relying entirely on her internal clock to wake her.

And today of all days it had chosen to fail her.

It was a good thing she’d delivered her drum set the night before, though if she didn’t make it on time she’d be left without instruments to practice with for the duration of the cruise, not to mention her band mates likely wouldn’t be too happy to have a drum set but no drummer.

Of course she was the only person to blame in all this, Alma thought as the ship came into sight, inwardly sighing as a line of people also drifted into her vision.

Great.

Alma reached into her bag to retrieve her sunglasses, pushed those over her forehead to balance on the thin frame of her nose as she neared the line.

She didn’t expect many people to recognize her as they would Sammie or Ash as they were right at the front in most of there performances. She was only the drummer after all, but this was a decent precaution.

She marched up the side of the line of people, ignoring the annoyed glances and muttered grievances as she reached the front. Sliding her sunglasses up to perch on top of her mane of dark curls, Alma smiled wanly as she presented her boarding pass with the blatantly gold VIP lettering.

“I’m a bit late but I’m with the band.”

“Oh really,” one of the security guards said, voice tinted with mild interest as her examined her ticket before unhooking the red rope separating her from the actual ship. “which one?”

“The best one,” Alma intoned, stepping past the rope before turning to flash the guard a more genuine smile. “Solasta, of course.”

One of the stewardess’ motioned for Alma to follow her and she did, past an ornately tiled wall and up, up, up the steps ‘till she’d reached the place the stewardess indicated to be the bands rooms. Murmuring her thanks, Alma took a quick look around before dropping her stuff off in one of the unoccupied rooms and heading off to look for everyone else.

Relief was already settling its heavy hand over her senses as she headed down a long corridor, sticking her head in every room until her neck burned from the exertion. She let out a hefty sigh as a rueful skimmed her lips. Where were they? She pulled her phone from her pocket, intending upon texting the ruffians when the dead battery signal flashed.

Oh yea, she hadn’t charged it. That was even better.

Frustration warred with an ironic sort of amusement at her circumstances as Alma turned back to just wait in the rooms for everyone else. Or maybe head to the bar, her stomach was churning in a way that could only really be stilled by the burn of some alcohol, probably a tequila shot though it was arguably a bit early for that bit of fun.

It was around then that Alma heard the low hum of conversation, a familiar, indistinctly masculine voice touching her ears though the guitar was what she really heard. Alma followed it into one of the rooms - an ornate performance space of mostly seats, juxtaposed by a considerably smaller stage. It was still breath taking to say the least.

And on the stage itself, Alma recognized a blond figure beside a darker haired one right at the edge. Sam and Ash.

She made her way over carefully, setting herself on the stage with a little “oomph” at the uncushioned impact. Looking into Sammie’s hazel eyes, Alma saw the conflict warring within. Had she missed something big?

She decided to play it off, the singer would vent about whatever she was feeling when she was ready. Hopefully she wouldn’t keep whatever this was inside.

In the meantime...

Alma dipped a slender hand into the blonde’s pocket, retrieving one of those airplane bottles she could see peeking out. Knowing Sammie, it wouldn’t be just water inside. She turned it in her hand, letting her face contort with exaggerated accusal.

“You trying to get us thrown off the ship this early, Sammie?” At that she unscrewed the cap and tilted it back to take a nice long sip. That warm feeling in the back of her throat paired with the sound of Ash plucking the guitar in the background was all at once exhilarating, harmonious.

Lacey heard a familiar voice call from hallway, briefly breaking her from the anxious thoughts swirling inside her head. A small smile curved her lips, recognizing it as the excited call of Z for NYC and body shots. The brunette singer took another gulp from her glass, savoring the burning feeling of the whiskey sliding down her throat. She loved her boys more than anyone else in the world. So no matter how drunk they got that night, excluding the ever sober Elijah. Lacey looked up as she heard footsteps approach, finding Z and Elijah in her line of sight. He flashed her the most adorable of thumbs up, to which she grinned in response. "I drink alone when my boys are off on their own adventures."

Almost as if on cue, Noel appeared as well, clearly already intoxicated but still ready to have some fun. At the mention of hunger, her pseudo-maternal instincts kicked in. Lacey raised her hand and called over the waiter, ordering a plate of loaded fries, nachos, barbecue wings, and a buffalo chicken flatbread before turning her attention back to her band mates. They were guys, and had known to eat their weight every now and again. In addition, the food would soak up some of the alcohol, so they wouldn't be too affected when they had to play a set later. Lacey nodded along with Elijah's ideas for their set. She knew he had been working on a new song, and was happy to hear it was finally finished. "I think that's a great idea, Eli." As if on cute, the plates of food Lacey had ordered were sat in the middle of their table, along with another glass of whiskey and a wink from the waiter to Lacey. As he walked away, she rolled her eyes to hide the spike of anxiety that rushed through her blood.

Though Lacey was a lead singer in a band, she absolutely hated the spotlight when music wasn't involved. It made her uncomfortable to be any sort of center of attention. In band interviews, she rarely spoke, letting the guys do most of the talking. In fact, she did her best to avoid interviews, not wanting to put her face out there for someone from her past to find. Not even the guys knew much about her past, and Lacey liked to keep it that way. They were her best friends, and she was sure they figured out a few things from the lyrics she wrote. But they had been nice enough so far not to ask too much about them. Without thinking about it, Lacey threw back the glass of whiskey and sat the empty glass back down on the table.

Samantha didn't know that Ash had followed her to the room or the performance space, too lost in her own head and thoughts to pay attention to much else. As she stared at the empty seats in front of her, she allowed her imagination to wonder. In her minds eye, she saw every seat filled, people standing and jumping and cheering and chanting the bands name as they rocked it out onstage.

"SOLASTA... SOLASTA... SOLASTA..."

Unable to stop herself from grinning, she looked at her bandmates in turn. Keyboards... drums... guitar... Only, instead of seeing Ash's face, she saw Elijah's.

Snapping out of her reverie, she realized that she wasn't alone. Ash was there, making his way towards the stage, guitar hung over his shoulder. Guilt panged through her, though she didn't say anything as he sat beside her. Not at first, anyway. He uttered a soft greeting, asking if she was okay, to which she responded with an automatic nod. Much as she wanted to be having fun, she couldn't deal with the guilt coming back at seeing her old best friends face.

The silence would have been overwhelming, but Ash started strumming a few familiar chords. Head hanging low, hair framing and hiding her face, she missed the opening cue. He didn't seem to notice, as he kept playing, and after a few moments she started to sing along.

"Well if you came home
You already know
That I would be waiting
Cause I have been praying
For you to stay close
Under the light of the full moon
And if you can't stay
I'll wait for the day
When you can be all mine
Stay up with you all night
So don't run away
I am your light, I will guide you home."

It was just the chorus, but it was enough to put a genuine smile on her face. And when she looked up, another figure had entered the room, one that she instantly recognized. Alma plopped on the stage on Sammie's other side, sliding an exposed airplane bottle out of her pocket. Sam made a half assed grab for it, rolling her eyes at the playful accusation. "Oh, please. Like they're gonna notice."

Laughing, she glanced over at Ash, pulling two more bottles from her other pocket. "Last two. Want one?"

ScaryWetFruitfly-small.gif

Ash had noticed Alma come in while he was playing and he stayed silent letting Sammie have her moment. When he heard her begin to sing he knew she was beginning to relax again and feel a little less stressed. He wasn't one to pry into her life he knew how some people worked and what they needed in order to feel more like themselves. He stopped strumming once Sammie had stopped singing and Alma began to talk, it was easier for the conversation if the music was gone. Of course he wasn't shocked about the bottles, it was Sammie after all and he never cared he just was never surprised. He took the bottle from Sammies hand and opened it. He gave a look to both girls to follow suit.

He wanted this to be the time of their lives, he wanted nothing but the most excitement for them as a band. Drama seemed like it was inevitable. He raised his small bottle, "To Solasta, and this cruise. May we have fun." he gave a cheeky smile to the girls. He was always the odd one out in the group being the only male so he never quite understood how to handle the problems that they had. Whether it was the drama or any other life problems. He had begun to just lend a shoulder to cry on and talk to. Someone who wouldn't pass any judgement or say anything to the girls. He turned to Alma, "Arrived a little late did we?" he joked with her. He knew life got in the way and he had been concerned when she hadn't gotten there earlier. Granted they had all been late at some point in the bands career so he could only joke because he had been given grief when he was late. He then learned to leave early for everything and tried to be to every event early. Sometimes he still failed but he had gotten better over the course of the bands career.

He set his guitar down next to him on the stage and waited to see what Sammie's next move was. She might talk she might not but he was there for her. Of course his stomach was grumbling but his friend was more important than food. So he stayed with her ignoring his stomach and the fact that he hadn't really eaten that day. He gave Sammie's shoulder a small comforting squeeze just let her know that both him and Alma were around to drink booze, eat food, play music, and just have fun together.

Alma raised her bottle at Ash’s encouragement, a wry smile playing at the corners of her lips as she eyed her already half-gone drink.

“To Solasta,” she echoed, just beginning to raise the bottle once more when Ash amusedly remarked on her tardiness. She set it down gently, wiping the dampness from her lips with the back of her palm.

She’d expected for one of them to comment on how late she was, given that it wasn’t a usual thing for her. Usually she was at gigs remarkably early, and of course ready to harp on them for not doing like her. Usually it was Ash she focused the ire of her attention on, so she could enjoy the irony of this situation.

“I may have slightly overslept,” she intoned, raising both her hands in a ‘guilty-as-charged’ sort of way. Now to change the subject quickly..

Ash’s stomach grumble seemed enough of a convenient distraction as any. “Someone sounds hungry, and someone - ” a pointed look at the Sammie, “looks stressed. Luckily for you guys, I have a remedy for both. It involves food, and probably one of those cute little eateries I passed on my way here. Anyone in?”

Ash took the airplane bottle from Sam, and unscrewed the top, holding it up. Casting a glance to her other side, she saw Alma doing the same. Shrugging, she looked down at her mini tequila bottle and followed suite, raising it just like theirs. "Cheers, bitches." She laughed now, downing the tan liquid and relishing in the burning trail it left down her throat.

The two of them went back and forth for a moment about being late, and she took a second to grab the collection of airplane bottles, tucking them back into her pockets. "C'mon, Alma is the queen of promptness. We can give her a break this one time, right?" A teasing tone in her voice, she shot Alma a smirk. "Besides, no one will ever beat me being so late I missed the entire practice." Talk about oversleeping, jesus.

Hopping off the stage, she turned around to face them. "My stomach is grumbling, too. You mentioned an eatery? I'm down. Gotta find some sort of substance before the show tonight." After making sure she had all the bottles, she turned to head out of the stage area, looking over her shoulder once to imagine the crowd one last time and make sure her bandmates were coming, too.

Z didn't care who heard him as he yelled through the halls. He was on a mission for alcohol and food before their first show. Everyone would really know who he was after that, if they didn't already label him as the guy who screamed for body shots on the first day of the cruise.

When Lacey grinned after Z gave her a thumbs up, he felt so accomplished and praised it almost made him giddy but he knew he had to keep his cool. “We haven't even been on the full adventure yet. We should tour the place as a group!” Elijah slipped past him to take the corner spot, as usual, but Z stood at the end of the seat for a bit longer. This proved to be a poor decision as Elijah teased the already left desiring keyboardist with a smirk that made his chest flutter. Z looked away to hide his embarrassment but had a full grin on his face. He turned back to look at the table with a slight bite of his lip and as much of an innocent face he could manage.

Finally, NYC showed up and Z threw an arm around him and gave him a quick shake. “You know it! What took you so long?! I called for you and thought you'd be here much faster!” He chuckled, knowing that NYC was probably having trouble since he had a head start drinking. At the mention of french fries, Z helped NYC into the seat next to Lacey while she ordered a hodgepodge of food that sounded right up everyone's alley. Taking his own seat next to Elijah, he also asked the waiter for a round of shots for the table. He quickly flashed Elijah a smirk because this plan was standard for Z. Order for Elijah but drink it himself. It was easier than having to order a second shot or explain why he needed two for himself.

Once the order was placed, Elijah got everyone's attention for work mode. He was serious, seeing as he sat up but whispered to the group so no one could hear. The new song didn't have a large part for Z but that was fine, he could get a break and play around on stage. More importantly, there had to be a reason why Elijah wanted to play that song so badly and it didn't take a genius to figure out why. When Elijah teased NYC, Z defended him quickly by waving his hand in a dismissive manner. “Pshhh. Nothing ever stops NYC from putting on a good performance. He's got some sort of magic liver.” Z followed Elijah's plans for the set with silent nods and a few comments. He seemed to have a grand idea for the performance that was inspired by earlier. Even so, the plan sounded great and it only meant it would be even better than perfect. “If we're going to start with 'Worthless' I'm going to change the lighting and back tones I had set so it matches and gives a better atmosphere. I'll change the plans so the lights fit the songs we play.”

With perfect timing, the food was placed before them once the plans were set. When the waiter placed the whiskey in front of Lacey, Z caught the wink and instantly looked to see how she would react. She was never one to enjoy attention, even though she was a beautiful person on the inside and out, so Z would have been ready to leap on the guy if she was bothered by it. He was sure any of the guys would be. It seemed like she was alright though since she only rolled her eyes but then suddenly downed her entire drink in one go. Shocked, Z cautiously asked while looking at the glass, then at her, “Uh... Lace. You okay?...” In an attempt to not make the air heavy, he continued while pointing with his thumb into the air behind him. “Do uh... do you want me to go beat him up? I can do that. NYC and I can totally handle it and Eli will be your bodyguard.”

Ash couldn't help but laugh about the time that Ash had missed an entire practice. They had called her, waited around for her and hours later she had finally told them she had been napping. It happened to everyone being late but it was always fun to make jokes at someone else's expense especially when they were never late. Ash was more than ready to go and get food, his stomach had not stopped growling since Alma had appeared. He had tried to make it quieter and it was always louder with each growl. He nodded at Sammie's comment and was relieved he wasn't the only one with a hungry stomach.

He hopped off the stage following behind Sammie, "I heard they have a taco bar. I may eat them out of tacos." he joked. He was the one who could out eat everyone in the band so it wasn't a complete understatement. He knew he could pack down a lot of food and not really gain any weight. A blessing and a curse in his mind. Granted he was glad that the girls weren't so dainty about what they ate around him. He never cared because he loved each and everyone of them for who they were and the talent they possessed. He didn't care how much they ate or really their appearance. He was always careful to not say anything that would upset them about their looks. The girls had enough problems in their lives and he wasn't going to be the one to add to them. As he looked at both the girls he couldn't help but grin, "I'll buy us a round of drinks." he stated to them.

This was a celebration after all and he thought they at least deserved a real round of drinks before their show, "Pick what you want, I got you girls covered fora drink. We are here to celebrate with one another so I think an actual drink, not from little bottles," he gave a pointed to look to Sammie and winked, "Is just the way to begin a celebration. You two in?" he already knew the answer but he always liked the confirmation.

There were times in which Noel was extremely forgetful, some would claim it was selective. To think he had forgotten that they were on the cruise for a reason, to perform for others, not to party, though he wasn’t opposed to both. In fact, he was confident he could do both. Everyone had come to realize that as well. NYC’s graze was fixated on Elijah’s notebook, he always admired songwriters, he was more of a composer of the sorts, words never came to him the way it came to Elijah.

Lace had ordered food for the bunch, he joking bowed in her direction as if she were royalty. “We are not worthy.” He whipped his head in the band’s keyboardist. “I got lost along the way, pretty sure I walked in on someone and their boo thang wasn’t too pleased about it. ”NYC answered Zander, he was being partially honest.

At the mention of the setlist, Noel turned to Eli and gave him an extremely uncoordinated salute, he was listening, to the important bits at least, and he wouldn’t dare ruin this for the others. “You know I’m always down to play whatever you guys suggest, I think ending with something new would be a nice touch.” Honestly, he was just happy to be apart of something for a change, the blonde was used to playing solo, and it had gotten rather lonely.

Noel’s mouth watered as the food entered the scene he had caught a glimpse of Lacey’s interaction with the waiter. A look of disgust briefly found it’s way on his features, like that of a child meeting their divorced parents' new boyfriend or girlfriend. Before he could speak on the matter Z beat him to it. “ I will totally kick that guy's ass for you.” Noel made jabs at the air, playfully showing off his skills.

Elijah smiled brightly when the band was agreeing to this setlist. He loved how they were so much on the same wavelenght. They hardly had any troubles, of course they had their bad days and bad moments and big problems. Like once NYC's snare drum somehow getting lost and Z's keyboard in the wrong setting or wrong key on stage. He was pretty sure that Lacey once song the entire wrong words and obviously he had missed his solo's or dealt with many broken strings. Yet as a band, they never fought. They hardly even disagreed and if they did, they were civil about it and talked it out. They would weight the good and the bad and go with what most people voted for. Or put it aside for a different time. When they couldn't agree on the right way to play a song for instance or an idea that one brought up but the others weren't too enthusiastic about. So yes, he was not surprised the three agreed on his change of the setlist and even complimented him on it. "That would be amazing," he said towards Z when he offered to take care of the lightning and such.

French fries and much more was brought. Shots were ordered, of course for him as well, but as usual it was Z's second shot. He took an ice tea green for himself. Though apparently the waiter this time had only eyes for their female member. Who wasn't too fond of the special attention. She hardly ever was. Interviews were mostly done by the three of them. Even at the very start he had always been 'the face' of the band and she 'the voice'. They worked perfectly like that. With Z joining he had to share his spotlight, but he didn't mind. He loved it. Plus together they were able to deliver more than individually. Much more at times. NYC had his way with the fans, but he was still rather new so they were still searching at times how to make that work. But Elijah felt they were doing great, everything was divided fairly. So with this stranger flirting with Lacey and she avoiding any eye contact before throwing the whiskey back like it was nothing, it wasn't a surprise at all that NYC and Z sprung to her rescue. The knights in shining armor for the damsel in distress. "He does have a nice ass for some pounding," he hummed, speaking of a complete beating up that what Z ment.

The guitarist had always been very open with his bandmates about his sexuality and these kind of comments were not unusual. Though it was all meant as a joke of course. At least for now. He had no interest in some waiter when he had Z right beside him. Lately he seemed to be pulling more and more to the keyboard player over some quick fucks with strangers. Anyway, back to business and music instead of pretty asses that needed poundings. He picked up some of the fries and stuffed them in his mouth. "Oh damn, these are indeed the best fries ever," he said with his mouth still half full. Though that was probably partly the hunger talking. He wrote down the complete setlist and than gave the paper to Z, before changing his mind. "You know what? Perhaps we could all go to the performance room right now?" he suggested. He hadn't seen that place yet, or anything of the ship honestly due to being late. He would love to see where they would be playing tonight and how the acoustics were.

"Speaking of performing, Lacey, you can probably answer my question," Elijah started as he turned towards the female. It was probably for her sake a lot better to just treat the whole waiter incident like it didn't exist. Z and NYC giving it more attention probably made it only more awkward for her. "Do you know what time we will playing? And how many bands will play before or after us?" He knew there were more bands, Solasta was a dead give away for that. He honestly was looking forward to hear them live, even if he always changed channels when they came on the radio or skip to the next song when their music slipped through on his spotify. Sammie used to love standing in front of an audience. It had always been her big dream, their big dream. Would she still remember all those conversations? The many times they had been playing in that garage while imagining they were playing in front of a huge crowd. They both had that dream now... Though it was not the same as how they imagined it back then. It was never gonna be that way...

Lacey eyed the shot that Z had ordered, holding in between her fingers while the guys ate. She wasn't quite sure what the shot was, but didn't really mind. Without thinking about it any further. she threw back the shot and sat the glass upside down on the table. The familiar warmth filled her body, causing the practical side of her brain to kick in. Not wanting to perform on stage tipsy, Lacey grabbed a plate and filled it with small portions of each of the appetizers that she had ordered, saving the rest for the hungry guys beside her. She nodded along with the conversation, not really pay much attention to the technical talk while she snacked. While Lacey was great with playing and writing music, the lighting and more electrical aspects of a performance were outside her expertise.

The brunette was pulled from her thoughts by someone saying her name. "Hmm?" she hummed, looking up to find Z looking at her with a slightly shocked expression. Realizing she didn't normally drinking alcohol as heavily as he or NYC did, it might have seemed a bit off to him. After noticing his gesture to the waiter who had winked at her earlier, and hearing Noel's words, Lacey put on her best reassuring smile and shook her head. "Nah, he's not worth it," she said quietly, taking a sip from the glass of water sat in front of her. Truth be told, she would rather just ignore the situation so her anxiety didn't climb any higher than it already was. A few moments later, the plates that had once been full of food were nearing empty. Lacey was thankful for the change of topic as Elijah mentioned the performance room.

"If I remember correctly, we're second to last, with maybe five other bands before us," Lacey said, though her tone made it sound like a question. She paused to judge Eli's mood before adding, "Solasta is the last of the night after us." Though he didn't seem as crushed as earlier, Lacey could still tell that his emotions about the situation weren't entirely positive. The waiter returned, and Lacey didn't even glance his way, handing him the food credit card they had been given at boarding. "Yeah, we should probably check out the stage and area before the show. Better than going in blind anyway." With that, Lacey stood from the booth with her hands in her pockets, waiting for the guys to head towards the performance center.

Despite not being too hungry herself (she’d eaten a huge breakfast), Alma got up quickly to follow closely behind her band mates, stilling a moment to ward off the accompanying wooziness that comes with getting up waayyy too fast. Following Sammie’s cues, she slid her own bottle into her jean pocket - they didn’t want to pollute the stage too much after all. Mentally she ran through the few places she’d encountered on her way here - one or two bars, an Indian restaurant, a cute little cafe - maybe she could go there for breakfast some time?

Catching Ash’s lightly spoken words on tacos as well as buying them a drink she crossed off the last two options, an amused little smile playing at the corners of her lips. No matter how good it was, Indian food always gave her stomach aches anyway. A couple of rounds of drinks did sound good though, maybe some fries?

“If your paying, of course I’m in for whatever.” A grin downplayed the seriousness of her comment as she ventured on ahead, out the door, towards where she’d seen most of the food places on the ship to be. A quick glance verified that Sammie and Ash were right behind her as she rounded yet another corner.

It didn't take long for Alma to pass Sam and Ash, and the blonde singer grinned. She'd spent long enough on this trip already drowning in a black abyss; she couldn't keep it up, or else the others would suffer. Their sets would suffer, and their fans would wonder what the hell was up with them. She couldn't let them down, nor her bandmates, nor herself. She had to remember that she did this because she loved it.

"Come on, the bar sounds great. Some greasy bar food, a round or five of drinks, and we'll be the best in show." Laughing, she linked her arm through Ash's and followed Alma. It wasn't long before they reached the bar, and her eyes seemed to automatically seek out GAY. Her stomach did a flip flop, but she held her head high as she, Alma, and Ash found a booth of their own.

"I need a shot of Jack, and a Lynchburg Lemonade." She told the waiter, glancing at the other two. "What about you two?"

Z remarked on NYC's 'accidental' walk in incident simply with “Pft. They just needed another minute to look at you and they would have invited you in!” He laughed heartily and continued to enjoy the food and his shots as they spoke. Z took his two shots as soon as they were brought to the table. He didn't know the exact contents but it was alcohol so it was good enough for him. Z grabbed a few pieces of each bar food that Lacey had ordered and dug right in. As he was indulging in all of the food and the conversation, Eli mentioned that the flirty waiter had a nice ass. Z stopped in his tracks and playfully smacked Eli's thigh as if he was mad about it, only to rub it afterward. He wasn't bothered by the comment too much, more because he was already in protective mode and not flirty mode, but it would be a lie if he wasn't a tad jealous. The two have had a ever growing relationship. Nothing official, of course, it wasn't what either of them wanted but still. “Hopefully not better than mine.” He interjected and left the topic to die there by turning back to NYC after agreeing to help kick the waiter's ass. “YEAHHHHH!!!” Z threw his hand up to high five NYC.

Z took the paper from Elijah and was looking it over when the suggestion to check out the performance room was brought up. Lacey was spaced out, which was weird. She seemed to slowly come back to reality when she responded saying the waiter wasn't worth the effort of beating up. Alas, their cheering was short lived. It never was worth it to her, sadly, except for that one time! That was a fun time. But at least she knew the sentiment was there and the option was always viable. Still, it seemed like something was bothering her since the start of the bar visit. Z couldn't shake the feeling that something was off, she hasn't been entirely herself.

Lace then went on to explain their place in the musical line up. “So seven bands? They went crazy... huh.” It wasn't a question but more of a realization at how much the cruise shelled out to make this experience as amazing as possible. Z cautiously looked over at Eli when Lace mentioned Solasta and made his hand available to squeeze if need be. With a reassuring pat on Eli's back, Z got up and stood next to Lace as he stretched. “Goooood...” He let out a groan as he finished stretching then wrapped an arm around her. “Call. Let's see the place before we tear it up with our epic music.” With Lace in his grasp and Eli and NYC behind him, he turned to lead the way to the performing room. On the way out of the bar he caught a glimpse of Solasta walking in, causing him to throw his free hand back to silently call Eli and NYC to catch up to him as well as giving Eli the chance to grab on if he wanted. They didn't deserve the attention they garnered and he wouldn't give it to them.

On his way to the room, Z tightened his grip on Lace in both excitement and concern. He leaned his head on her as they walked. “Are you alright, Lace? You seem... off. We can take a second to talk about it if you want.” Lace has never opened up to anyone in the band but that wouldn't stop Z from trying. They were his family and a quick check shouldn't hurt anyone.
