HEMA looks good. I like it.

BTW, Dannigan, for your free spell at level 9, can I suggest Desiccate The Supernatural? It does a whopping 3d6x10 Hit Points or MDC damage to its target. Its a good one for facing off against supernatural monsters and beings that can bio-regenerate.

Thank you! I put a lot into that and I'm happy with the feedback I've gotten. =)

You can call me Dann; it is easier to type and we've definitely known each other long enough! =)

Psychie Psychie Yeah, I was looking at that one! I didn't think I'd be selecting anything so soon though. So I guess I'm kind of surprised. =)

Does Terra have W.P. Shield? Now that we know that Rune Shields are a thing? I believe W.P. Rune Weapons stacks with it (I don't have my books in front of me or I would check).

I know that WP Rune Weapons gives you a +2 to Strike and +3 to Parry, and I don't recall seeing anything that says it doesn't stack with WP Sword or WP Shield.

Hmmm. If I took WP Shield, it would give me another +3 to Parry, and if it just so happens to be a rune shield, that increases it to +6 on top of my current bonuses.

Ok, I'll go with it. Especially with what we are about to get into.

Good. Lets me pull the gloves off and really get nasty with you! Mwuhahaha!

Rykon Rykon Does this mean you'll be able to role play with us again? Whether or not you wanted to play your dragon Zeph, I had a lot of fun with you in the group!

Plus, I don't know about you, but I've had a rough spots this past year too and I don't know what I've done without RP Nation.

If you guys weren't so thorough with wiping out Salnesh, I'd pull him out of the woodwork again, but that has been rendered impossible.

Rykon Rykon You always have a spot open for you if you wish to come back.

Thank God for that! I can't stand it when the dungeon master tells everybody, "Oh yeah! He's dead permanently!" and then he comes back. Ever had one of those?

We did a serious number on him, and I'm glad of that. No coming back from the dead for this guy!

(Real Life is calling me right now but I'll come back on later tonight. Have fun everybody! Great to see you again, Rykon!)

Believe me, I have thought long and hard about that, and if there were any gaps in your efforts to kill him off, I'd have fun with a dramatic reappearance.

My main struggle with this game and some other games toward the end was that I always had that nagging feeling that I was making quite a few mistakes or forgetting something in Palladium, mostly when leveling up a character.

I can give the system another try. Perhaps I'll need to make a character-specific checklist for myself for any character I make in Palladium ahead of time.

As I said, you are always welcome to come back. If you are looking to pull in Zeph again, we can get him leveled up together. Get you some good spells added onto your sheet, too.

Young Dragons are fairly easy compared to more complex characters like the Undead Slayer that I'm running now. Shouldn't be too hard to make him work.

When it comes to the fun factor, Rykon Rykon I'd like to recommend 3 things:

1. It's Palladium! It's been out for so very long (my copy of Siembieda's first game, The Mechanoids, is dated 1985 - what were each of us doing in 1985?), that I believe EVERYONE is making mistakes or forgetting something in Palladium. Even in Rifts Ultimate Edition (the core book we're using for Sherwood's Rifts game as opposed to "Rifts Main Book" which came out in the 1990s), there is just so much information, one can't possibly remember it all. Best to remember where to find it instead.

2. You have us! We've been playing Palladium for quite some time. I, for one, love talking shop! So ask away! Just take a gander through our OOC here and you'll see all of the questions we toss up just to keep us all on the same page.

3. And that's the beauty of it all. Let me use my own character as an example (not Gradicus whom you knew but Snowfall). Take a good long look at that character sheet and tell me how much time I put into it? Palladium is the only game that I am comfortable-enough with to play something like a Kitsune like Snowfall. I mean, where else am I going to play a 750+ year old fox-spirit, master of Tai Chi, spellcaster, and Dimensional Voyager (almost Doctor Who-style!) all rolled up into one character?

Whomever you decide to make, I want you to be genuinely excited to play that character, even as a fellow player. Sherwood, Psychie, and Silanon have been nothing but fun to play here with and we're excited with what we're doing.

So yeah! Hit me up, man! Let's party! =)

Honor and fun,
Dann =)

Oh, man. After the answer we got when I asked if he was perma-dead, I'd be so pissed if Salnesh made a return. I'd probably have to take a break of indeterminate duration (and I don't say that kind of thing lightly).

When I asked Sil if he was going to have gunpowder in our Pathfinder game, the first answer wasn't concrete. So I asked Sil again and told him how I felt and why. I felt I was listened to when he not only gave a definite answer, but if anyone goes looking into his Lore section, Sil put it right there - his answer to if there is gunpowder in his game or not. The "yes" or the "no" answer didn't bother me - being in limbo between the two did. Both you, Sherwood, and you, Sil, have firmly settled those questions and doing that produces a great amount of trust between DM and Players. =)

I'll get to the level-up once I'm back - first the important matters, though:

Welcome back, Rykon Rykon , glad to see that you're around again - and that things are looking better on your end! Hope you find just the right thing for you here again - be it in this particular game or another. Was in a similar spot after I took a hiatus here, and I wouldn't be in the same spot in life without these awesome folks here. Hope it'll be similar for you!

Taking a page from Pathfinder, I am going to allow you to raise one attribute point every THREE levels you go up. This increase can be on any of your attributes.
Remember this bit for 9th level, friends! =) And thanks, Sherwood! =)

1. I am seriously considering taking Lore: Religion Skill from the Compendium v6.0. for Snowfall as our adventures have us clearly heading in the direction of deities and pantheons. The descriptions of the two Skills seem to compliment one another, but they do have similarities. If one has the Mythology Skill, as Snowfall does, is it of benefit to also have the Lore: Religion Skill or do the two Skill overlap too much and one will be a waste of a Skill??

1a. The Lore: Religion Skill found in the Compendium v6.0 is under the category, "Magic." Under their O.C.C. Related Skills, Tattooed Voyager and Undead Slayer don't have that category listed. However, Lore Skills otherwise fall under the Technical category for which Tattooed Voyagers get a +10% bonus to such skills.

Does the same apply to Skills from the Magic category?
