Other Random question of the day

Activision - blizzard.
EA yet again. I would of said Ubisoft, but they're Ubisoft and death is heresy.

Most of their games have been hyper greedy, rubbish, a combo of both, or any good title overshadowed by rushing.

Random question of the day:

What video game companies do you consider to be currently on life support?

Depends on what qualifies as a "video game company". I can't wait for Gamestop to go under given the recent controversy, and they certainly aren't far from it.

If we're speaking to development studios and not the industry as a whole, then I think the next notable closure is probably going to be Bioware. They've been a shell of their former selves for a while and EA has a long and tried history of absorbing, consuming, and destroying their acquisitions.

When I was around 4 or 5, my house was on fire because of a neighbor's cigarette. It wasn't too bad in the end, very minor damage, but I was little, saw fire, realized the exit was blocked and there was no way out, and got scared for life. Couldn't light a candle or stay near open fire until getting much older, and even now I feel uneasy. Not to mention, I never smoked.

Random question of the day:

What's the scariest thing you've ever experienced as a kid?
Ok, this is not much of a kid memory per say, but it was really scary

A Couple years ago, my mom was making some ham and cheese biscuits in the oven, and curious little 12 year old me decided to wander into the kitchen to see what was happening. All of a sudden, the oven started sparking out of nowhere and I dashed out of the kitchen. I was over by the sink when it started, the oven was in the middle, and the entrance was on the right, and there's a bunch of crates blocking the sides which made it a bit hard to get out, but somehow I gotten out. It wasn't a huge mess, the biscuits were, surprisingly, not done yet when it started arching 😂
But, I was shaking badly even after that accident.

Woke up from an afternoon nap to a quiet house and some weird guy coming up to my window. Guy flashes me an evil grin and puts a finger to his lips and shuts my window. I naturally start freaking out and my mind raced a mile a minute thinking that our dogs are tied up, only my grandparents are in, and there's no phone in the room I was asleep in. Grandpa even wakes up and tells me to stay put and shuts me up in my room so I sit there for a grueling 30 minutes or so until he lets me out.

Turns out it was some guy wanting to sell us a new oven.

Hate that guy.

I once passed by this house where a guy on drugs was raging and fuming (from the chatter, I think his wife left or something). As I passed, he suddenly snapped and went "Hey, I can see you there. I'm coming after you!" I ran like hell before he can even come out of the house.

Then there was high school. Our classroom was on the third floor, giving us a good view of the factory next door. Apparently, some of the guys caught one of the factory owners reading a porno magazine while on his break and they were laughing about it. Guy heard the laughing, stormed up to the classroom and proceeded to threaten the entire class. Teachers were able to send him away but the guard got fired since he shouldn't have let the guy in the first place.

Yeah, I tend to be wary of strangers because of this.

What's the scariest thing you've ever experienced as a kid?
Probably the time when I was 6 and I was traveling out of the country for the first time with my family to their homeland (Vietnam). We just got out of the airport where a crowd of extended family and friends greeted us. As we were trying to cross to the parking lot I was separated from my parents and ended up walking a few feet behind this boy who looked to be about ~10 years old. Then out of nowhere a large black SUV type vehicle sped through the road and hit the boy in front of me. If I was a good 5 feet closer to him I would've been hit as well. His body flew a good 15 feet from what I remember and my family panicked and led me away. I couldn't help but look back at his motionless body as nearby airport security got to the scene. My family managed to get into a cab and went on with the trip but needless to say I was traumatized for the rest of the time there (and haven't been back to the country since).

Oh and just generally experiencing Vietnam for the first time as a 6-year-old. I ended up getting a bad stomach virus while I was there and was hospitalized for a few days. And the chaotic traffic of mopeds & scooters is enough to scare anyone new to the cities there.

What's the most annoying aspect about a video game?

How dat shit ain't all VR yet.

Also sometimes invisible walls rather than a pass-thru barrier that throws a nigh indestructible entity at you, or kills you after ten seconds. I prefer those to ancient OG walls. If there has to be one, at least disguise it with scenery like rubble or an actual wall.

Then of course the modern main concern:
ALL DEM BIATCHES GOT MICROPENOTRANSACTIONZ.
I'd have to say outside the meme persona, that's the most annoying thing. God forbid a certain title, where the model is INSIDE the game, playable, but if you don't buy it with real money, you might as well shut the game off and on again, because unless someone pities you with rounds, that ad-crap ain't getting off your screen.

What's the most annoying aspect about a video game?
Ok, I'm venting out for these two

Number one: bendy and the ink machine

Its about chapter three and four, how you need to spend hours finding the pieces. Three is hard, four.. meh.... but I can understand why they did that otherwise the game would be a little to easy to solve.

Number two: MOP operation clean up

Old favorite of mine, it's a game where this little robot cleans up the planet, but enough of that. Every time I delete the game just to free up storage, if it didn't save on game center, you lose everything. I was on zone three, now I have to restart everything :(

Yall can argue with me about these, but these are two annoying things I find quite annoying or maybe a little bit pissed at

When the games leaves you the choice... But it doesn't matter anyway.

The scenario:
You find yourself at a crossroads.
Go left or right.
You go left- and end up with scenario A.
You go right- same thing.

Seriously.
If you leave me a choice... Then do really leave me a choice and not just pretend to do so...

I don't know, guess that's my one video game pet peeve...

Along with low frame rates...

Nowadays, them releasing downloadable content well after I have purchased the game. Content that must be purchased as well.

Depends on personal mood. Easy-to-digest, feel-good fluff is my go-to, but there's no denying that tension in a movie or TV show can be quite effective at distracting from the like irl.

Yeah, depends on the mood. I watch/read a bit of both.
Right now I'm watching a comedy series because I feel like I need to cheer up.

Both. I'd still be able to watch a comedy if I wanted drama for example, there's some good crappy movies like Sharkenstein for that niche.

Though Adam Sandler ain't bad either.

Random question of the day:

If you were on a Power Rangers team, what color Ranger would you be?
Oh oops, didn't notice there was a new question. Uh... yellow? It's my favorite color. Maybe white or black, since if memory serves me right, those colors don't usually start with the group, and I really don't think I'd start in a group. Dunno. I'm probably more the person giving them their missions than one of the rangers probably.
