Other Random question of the day

Actually the zoo isn’t the best place. I’ve heard horror stories of what goes on behind closed doors and of animals having less than a good life
Then maybe a place where it’s well taken care of.

Not sure if I asked this one before, but...

Random question of the day:

Do you have a dream? If so, have you ever had to put it behind you?
Yes. I have a dream. I’ve had many. Many I did hafto put behind me. Because of the cards I been dealt. I wanted to be a singer growing up. But because I have hearing aids and it took me a very long time to understand what my voice sounded like. I DONT sound as good as i thought i did.

Tho I hope to be an artist now. And I’m fairly good at it. If I become an artist it will help me feel like I can leave my mark on the world. Right now I’m working on some things that I’m going to sell in a garage sale. And depending on how much I make. And how much I sell. Will depend on if I keep going.

Random question of the day:

At what age do you start being a grown-up (In your opinion)?
I started working when I was twelve. Definitely contributed to the concept of grown-up shit. lol
Not gonna get into when I lost my virginity, as it may or may not break some kind of rule on here.
I moved out of my parents' house on my 18th birthday and joined the military in the same year.
First time I went to jail, I was in my twenties.

But... I also know peeps that are like thirty and still live at home with their parents and are going to school, haven't had a serious job, and are very much not independent. So, I guess growing up and maturing is very much a person-to-person basis.

The human brain doesn't stop developing until your 21st birthday. Which means emotions and other things such as trauma. Stress and negative experiences will have a very exaggerated impact until your 21. Increasing the chances for ptsd. And other disorders.

You cannot drink alcohol until you are 21

You cannot go into a casino and gamble until you are 21.

I think 21 is a re-accuring age for most things. So 21 would be the general idea.

Tho it also depends on people with autism. Or cannot fend for themselves in general. People with disabilities often rely on people more mature than them or people who can do things they cannot do themselves. Depending on how bad the disabilities are. Mental or physical.

People who age 2 times slower which I have met 2 people like that. Often rely on people to assist them. They have the same size. Mentality. And behavior as a 5 year old even if they are 10. Or the same size. Mentality. And behavior as a 10 year old. Even if they are 20. That would most likely take years to overcome and be "grown up"

If it's something less severe like the person just needs help in the kitchen and doing small task. That can be easily considered. They are adult anough to be considered adult. But that all depends on the people you ask "are they mature?" Or "are they a adult?" Some may tell you yes some may say no they still act like a child.

Everything is different for everyone. There is no specific age that someone is considered "grown up" because everyone's definition of grown up is different and not everyone matures the same way

Drinking is legal if you're 18 with a military ID on base. Also, the drinking age used to be 18 for everyone until they changed it in 1984.

What is it to be "grown up"? Because I feel its more than "am contributing to society through fiscal responsibilities".

I didn't start being emotionally or mentally mature until my mid-twenties. I was still doing erratic things and had no sense of the world around me. A lot of people I know are still stuck in this line of thinking (and acting!) and they are well into their mid-to-late thirties. I didn't start taking care of my physical and mental health or even knowing who I am until I was 26 or 27 years old.

Random question of the day:

What fictional character absolutely boils your blood whenever you see them and why?
Anakin Skywalker from The Phantom Menace, and... also Jar Jar Binks. I hated both of those characters to no end. If it wasn't for the badassery that was Darth Maul in that movie, the whole thing would have been a complete loss for me.
