Rin & Sweetpea​

The streets were crowded, which didn't surprise the young man as he walked casually down the pavement of Castelia City. A slimy nose nudged his hand, looking up at him with giant, dazzling green eyes. The hardened expression of Rin just couldn't take those adorable puppy eyes the Goodra gave him, so he rewarded her with a gentle scratch, his expression melting all the while. The Goodra thrummed her pleasure, content for the time being.

It was only a minute longer before she asked again. She was a needy Pokémon. But Rin wouldn't have it any other way.

They'd been travelling for a while, avoiding the ire of his past team. A city may be a good hiding place, what with the population and general bustling. Although, a dark, brooding male with a Goodra in tow might be easy to spot. His Goodra easily stood taller and heavier than Rin, who was only five foot, eleven inches tall.

He'd heard a couple stray remarks of passerby, saying something about putting the slimy giant in it's pokéball. His Goodra understood, and usually asked for another pet every time, like she was pleading to be left out. His voice had a low tone to it as he spoke gently to her, "Don't worry, Sweetpea. You're staying out."

Up ahead, a fountain could be heard. Sweetpea, the Goodra, noticed it before Rin. With an excited grumble, she bantered in the direction of Central Plaza, a little ahead of Rin. With a soft sigh, he followed leisurely behind her. Though, she was a little further ahead of him, he kept as good of an eye on her as he could. Not often did she wander far from Rin, so she must have been quite elated.

Of course, they had recently passed through that awful desert that was Route 4, and Sweetpea was probably wanting to play in the water. He couldn't blame her one bit, as he wanted to sit and rest for a while either. His other three Pokemon probably also wanted to stretch their legs.

Emily had already had a stressful day so far she had been hiding around back aways ever since she snuck out of her family's apartment last night. She would simply not allow her self to be used as a pawn any more by her parent's business and being married off just to increase some market share was just simply the last straw. Ever since leaving her home, she notices some men and women around town that worked for her father. It was clear they were looking for her and a few times they even found her she was luckily able to outrun them thinks to Mr. Zippy, but after a night's amount of work and running he was getting tired and would simply be unable to fight at all soon. She could use oddy and ted but they are just children who have been nothing more than pets up to this point.

Emily took a long yawn she hasn't slept at all yet, she needed to get away from this city but she was starting to doubt if that is even possible. Mr. Zippy was in her arms fast asleep poor thing was tired hopefully they can get out of this soon. While she was sitting there thinking about the next move she heard the sound of footsteps behind her and then someone saying 'there she is, get her'. Oh no they found her again without even thinking she ran back out into the crowd accidentally having to plush people away as her pursuers were not far behind her also nocking people away. She would then run into the central plaza and while not looking where she was going she ended up running into someone. Looking up she sees a black-haired man and his goodra. Emily was about to apologize for running into him when she heard the men behind her finally catching up. And without thinking, she quickly hid behind the man as they approached 'Step aside sir were here to collect that girl.' ​

  Lost. She was undoubtedly lost. Dang this city was even larger than Lumiose City, and that’s saying something! She took off the cap she bought over in the next town over…. What was its name again? Oh well it didn’t matter much. She wandered down the road before she heard Ruffles screeching. Ah! Was she going down the same path again?
  
  Well at least someone was on the case. Zoro wanted to go smelling everything they passed and Celeste was so used to her trainers having no destination that she seemed to be permanently as lost as Arianna currently was. She pulled her bag closer onto her shoulder. With a sigh she turned back around.
  
  “Hey Zoro! C’mere. You know you guys could help. I’m sure you guys want to go meet this gym leader too. Afterwards we can even go to a tasty pokemon cafe!”
  
  Still Celeste and Zoro seemed inclined to do their own things. She could almost sigh in regret at not having bothered to get an updated map. Her trek in was days ago by now she should have a better layout in her mind yet each new day it was an accomplishment just to find her way back to the inn at night.
  
  “Guess today’s another day of learning the town huh? Well that’s fine if we got to the gym too fast then we’d never learn all these new sights.”
  
  She wasn’t in a particular rush anyhow. While most would probably say she should be, having started her adventure three years late, instead she said that she was having the time of her life with the experience. If she’d started her adventure three years ago she wouldn’t have her team and wouldn’t have met the kind strangers she’d seen all through her journey.
  
  Just then a smaller girl went racing past her. She turned to watch as the girl fought through the crowds, badly from her view. Before long she saw two suits following her. Oh and then there were always the assholes. She raced down to follow the girl and the suits.
  
  She turned the corner and found the girl close to a dude that looked like he might join them by the time he was in his mid thirties. Luckily the crowds had thinned out considerably. She let her foot stomp down hoping she could catch their attention.
  
  “Hey hey, whatcha suits doing bothering a little girl huh? Betcha can’t handle someone your own size let alone mine. I’ma give you forty seconds to explain yourselves before i give Zoro the go ahead to get bitey.”

Rin & Sweetpea​

Sweetpea was happily splashing in the fountain at this point, while Rin was standing off to the side. She was splashing a few of the other people hanging around the fountain, either to their disdain or elation. Those who were annoyed had gotten up and moved further away.

Just as he was about to let out his other three, he felt a rather hard thump of what felt like a person running into him. He looked down, his expression cold and calculating. The young girl that ran into him seemed frightened. Sweetpea threw her head up in question, tilting her head to the side, suddenly quiet. She slunk out of the fountain, dragging with her a water trail, keeping her body low to the ground as she came up to stand behind Rin, looking carefully down at the strange girl. Though, Sweetpea couldn't hurt a child, she was very protective of Rin.

More footsteps caught his attention, seeing men in suits. Which caused the girl to stand behind him. Sweetpea made room for her by standing right beside Rin, going her full height of six-foot-seven. Rin scowled, unsure what to make of the situation. To him, it seemed like these men were awful people. Why else would a child run away from them and then hide be an equally frightening stranger?

He put the pokéballs that were in his left hand away into his pocket, his right hand curling into a fight. A foot stomping and feminine voice caught his attention. He threw his yellow gaze in that direction, though Sweetpea didn't take her own green eyes off the men. She wasn't doing a good job to look intimidating, what with her naturally goofy face, but Rin could her the soft, deep, grumbling rising in her throat.

He wasn't really wanting to be lumped into these men, so he threw in his own words, "You shouldn't be stealing children. Perverts." He wasn't in the mood for negotiations as he threw a right hook at the man who had said he needed to 'collect that girl.'

One of the men looked towards Arianna 'This isn't any of your business kid we are merely following orders.' The one that was facing Rin was going to simply ignore him and go to grab Emily when he heard Rin speak 'What stealing no we are just under orders to return this girl to her .......' He didn't even get to finish his sentence as a fist was immediate throw in his face. 'You dam kid do you have any idea what you're doing, you know forget if its a fight you got it. But sir he's clearly way stronger. Shut up you know what will happen if we don't return with the boss's daughter.' The other man reluctantly agreed and both pulled out a Pokeball letting out a Trubbish and a Vanillish.

Emily stood close behind the man's back, she had no interest in going back with these men and simply the thought of seeing her father again disgust to her no end. "Tell him I'm not coming back now leave me alone!" She looks up at the man "Um sorry for dragging you into this but I'm afraid I'm not much of a fighter can you help me?" Emily says shyly she pats Mr zippy on the head wakeing him up. The small possed doll slowly awoke and seeing what was happening jumped out her hands ready for battle. It was still rather tired but he was more than happy to assist his trainer.

  The younger suit well nonsuit seemed to be obviously not on their side. Good for them? Either way he’d just punched the creepy kidnapper and thus he was on her good graces for now. The suits muttered something about a boss. Was this kid the daughter of a mob boss? No way! Well either way she wasn’t gonna stay on the sidelines as a kiddo just young enough to have been starting their journey was attacked.
  
  She saw the goons call out their pokemon and was quick to call Zoro to action with a dramatic wave of her hand coping some old magical girl shows that her mother used to play on tv. She felt as Zoro leapt forwards using her shoulder as a spring board to get closer to the duo. With a growl he started to use scary face against the two introduced pokemon.
  
  
  
  “Thata boy Zoro! Get those goons!”
  
  She heard a shrill call from Celeste at her side who obviously wanted in as well. Still she never could get Celeste to listen well to her, perhaps because of lingering affection to her mother but either way Celeste never went full out unless there was a clear danger to Arianna.
  
  “Not now Celeste we gotta help her.”
  
  She started to rush in and put herself between the younger girl and the goons. Ruffles and Celeste followed each flying at her sides helping to make a wall for her.
  
  “I got your back kiddo. Zoro, go! Use Fury Swipes!”

Rin & Sweetpea​

After he had thrown his punch, he was expecting to maybe get his back, but the retaliation never came. Keeping his face as unreadable as he could, he was still questioning how stupid these men were. In response to his physical attack that was definitely not a Pokémon's punch, these two stupid men sent out... Pokémon.

Sweetpea took the Pokémon being sent out as an attack to her friend, so she stepped forward, protectively putting a slimy, tiny arm in front of him as she squared up. "Agh, Sweetpea!" Rin couldn't help but complain at her forceful attempts t get in the way.

Rin heard the girl behind him apologize, and he looked down at her, his soft tone that was aimed at Sweetpea earlier now hardened, "A kid shouldn't have to be made to follow some obviously sketchy, lying people."

He didn't believe for one minute that these guys were trying to get the "boss' daughter." They were just too forceful in their ways. Maybe there was an inkling of his past seeping into how he felt about this type of situation, but he didn't care. He wanted to protect the Banette in the girl's arms anyway. These guys seemed to be the abusive type, and he wasn't having it.

The Banette was now awake and seemed to be willing to assist the little girl. He went to attempt picking it up and put it back in the girl's arms, "No. We got it."

As he was attempting to do this with Banette, a Zorua looked like it was thrown into the mix. He noted that he must have been thrown by the redheaded girl, in which he shot a glare to. He was only one person, and he himself couldn't keep the Pokémon from attacking each other. And Sweetpea wasn't going to listen to him anyway. She was set in her ways.

Sweetpea roared cutely, though trying to be intimidating, before purposely falling down on the Trubbish and Vanillish with a body slam. She's almost 332 pounds of weight. She avoided the Zorua who's face was being scary.

"Sweetpea!" Rin pinched the bridge of his nose. No matter what happened with Banette, he ran around Sweetpea, and went to tackle one of the men to the ground.

Mr zippy was about to go out for a battle but he was grabbed right away he tried to struggle out of the man's hand but he was just way too tired even to fight it. He would be placed right back into Emily's arms where she would hug him closely. "Don't worry Mr. Zippy ill be fine, your tired just rest for now." The Banette would simply disappointedly fall back into her arms. Another girl would come by and step in between her and her pursuers "Ah um think you." Emily would take a step back and watches from the back.

'Damit kid I said stay out of this.' the younger man bark back at Arianna as the zoro's fury swipes hit the Trubbish sending it back in health. Then not even a moment later the larger menacing Goodra would run at them for a body slam effectively knocking the Trubbish out and leaving only the Vanillish still barely standing. 'Vanillish quickly take it down with ice' his order would go unfinished as the older man gets tackled to the ground by rin 'Hey what are you doing get off me you brat!'​

  A smirk came accross her face as Zoro put them in their place. Sure that Goodra, Sweetpea was it, was doing more but then again Goodras were just natural muscle. Zoro was a lean quick fighting machine. Even before she caught him she knew that her baby liked to win. He preened under the attention. She heard the girl call out a thank you at her side and threw her fist up in the air.
  
  “No problem kiddo! Tis the life of a trainer, big ones look out for little ones.”
  
  She’d never throw her pokemon into a fight that could actually badly injure them. She loved her babies. Still even when she was unsure she knew she couldn’t stand back as another suffered. The trubbish was down for the count already and she was quick to run at their side. She looked the poor pokemon over and wrapped them well with some medical ointment, after all she didn’t much like not helping out after a spar. Typically she could trust the trainer could help their own but she didn’t much trust the suits.
  
  Plus even if they intended to the mini-nonsuit pounced on them before they could. Okay then, he was a clearly volatile one himself. She got his sentiment but he was of no help himself if he got laided out by these wannabe maffoso goons. She took out a bottle of what was technically a repel but would do well enough as some measure of defense if they decided they wanted to pay back violence with violence.
  
  “Yall are gonna chill out with the chase unless you want me spraying it up in your eyes. Your Trubbish is already down and your Vanillish isn’t looking too hot either. Take ‘em to Nurse Joy already!”
  
  She made it clear she was talking to the free one as she approached with Celeste and Ruffles as Zoro stayed with his eyes locked on the Vanillish still standing. Her holding a repel up as a weapon was probably not as threatening as the all out brawl taking place next to her but if they were going the physical route she had to be prepaired to be as fast as her babies.

Rin & Sweetpea​

Sweetpea had decided to have gotten off of the two Pokemon at some point, and Rin was grateful to the redhead for helping heal the Trubbish. Threatening with what appeared to be a repel was decidedly silly to Rin. Though he did agree; the two needed taken to Nurse Joy. He actually had to convince a part of his brain to not just attempt taking them away because he had left that life, but habit is hard to break.

Rin sat on top of the older man, a cold look in his eyes as he stared down, "You started this. You got your Pokemon hurt because you guys can't keep your tempers in check or deal with me yourself. Leave. The. Girl. Alone." What he said might of been a little hypocritical, what with him easily losing his own temper about Pokemon getting hurt, but alas. Rin threw a punch at the guy's face before hopping off of him. He wasn't so terrible that he'd keep hitting a man that couldn't seem to fight back, even if he was one that responded with having his Pokemon fight his fights for him.

Sweetpea sauntered right next to Rin and nuzzled his face with her's, bringing Rin back to reality. In fact, as the redhead was continuing her threatening, Sweetpea decided to keep nuzzling Rin's cheek. The whole time. The needy Pokemon. He patted her cheek in response.

The two men simply looked at each other and nodded in agreement it was clear to them now that this was a lost cause. The younger man walked over to his soon to no longer be boss and helps him up. 'Don't think this is over as long as that girl is with you nothing but trouble will head your way, will be back' The older man placed a hand on his face since it was still in pain and the two recalled there pokemon to there balls leaving the area quickly. 'What are we going to do our jobs are on the line, shut up you, I know.'

Mr. Zippy watched from Emily's arms as the two run away if you were to listen closely you could probably hear an evil giggle from the ghost doll. Emily would walk closer to her two savors and gives a short bow to the two of them "um think you so much for the help I thought I was a goner there for a second. Oh um I guess I should probably introduce my self, My name is Emily, Emily Sapphire but you can call me Em if you like everyone else does." She gives a shy smile but still nervously looks around for any more of her father's men.​

  She let out a sigh of relief as they left. Good she didn’t need to get in a physical fight with them. She was ninety percent sure she’d fail if she did but she damn well was gonna try. She squatted down and opened up her arms as Zoro came rushing into her. She picked him up with some effort and gave him lots of cuddles.
  
  She put him down after significant cuddles and pulled out a poffin from her bag and let Zoro snack on it bringing out two more for Celeste and Ruffles, after all they were a team if one got a treat everyone did. She herself would snack on a chocolate bar later on. For now she turned back to the strangers she just met.
  
  “Em huh? That’s a nice name, kinda sounds a bit familiar. I’m Arianna Busto, nice to meetcha.”
  
  She gave them a quick curtsy with her words. Now that she got a good look at the girl she was a little cutie. Awwww. She turned her head back to Mr. Violence. Oh he was very easy on the eyes, oh was that the beginning of a smile or was she imagining things? When he wasn’t spitting mad he was quite handsome and oh no wait she's staring.
  
  “Soooo mister mystery nonsuit what’s your name? Oh and this cutie too what’s little miss goodra named”

Rin & Sweetpea​

Rin shrugged at the men and their comment, though he offered no response. He was used to trouble. He used to cause it... still does. Sweetpea waved a paw at them as they left, a smile on her face. At the scent of something delicious, her nose went into the air and looked right at the redhead. Green eyes dazzled, she pranced over to her, lowered down to the ground so her head was lower than the redhead... and begged. The tip of her tail wagged. Rin didn't stop her. She was just too cute and his hard expression almost melted at her antics.

He turned around to face the younger girl when she came up to introduce herself. Sapphire? The name was familiar. Any hate he had towards that family couldn't be directed at the child. Who knew what they were telling her. He may have been projecting his child self to her so he may have some feelings to relate to.

After Emily had introduced herself, the redhead had done so as well. He moved his gaze over to Arianna, and it looked like she was staring at him, though she had also asked him for his name. And called him a nonsuit? What? "I'm Rin. She's Sweetpea."

At her name, said Goodra perked up and bounded over to Rin. With a happy chirp, she nuzzled his cheek. Probably feeling like she was leaving everyone else out, she went over to Emily and the Banette, to do the same to both her and her Pokemon. Then going over to Arianna to do the same with her and each Pokemon she had in tow.

"It's very nice to meet you two, again I'm very sorry for having to involve you guys in that." The young girl looked at the two shyly, she wasn't quite sure what to say to her savers. Mr. Zippy would soon try to fall back to sleep with his job now done for him but was soon interrupted with sweetpea coming up and giving both of them a nuzzle on the cheek. Mr. Zippy didn't really like it but Emily really did "aww your a very friendly girl aren't you hehe." Emily would gently pet sweetpea on the head. "Think you too." She would then look back towards the others "Um if it's possible is there anything I can do as thinks I'd hate to let this kindness go unrewarded. Maybe food or something? I can treat you both if you like."​

  Curt and quiet. Well he certainly was a ray of sunshine. She would have called him out on it if not for the fact that she was immediately cuddled in the most adorable way by his pal Sweetpea. She let the little darling nuzzle her cheek as she gave it a little pat before the darling went on to do the same with her other pokemon.
  
  Zoro was his usual interested self sniffing out the goodra and trying to memorize it’s scent from their brief encounter. Celeste looked to be allowing it with trepidation. Ruffles was the worst with his bristling feathers looking quite annoyed at the much larger pokemon.
  
  She heard the girl speak back up again and every part of this little cutie screamed “Young Miss” maybe she wasn’t some mafia wannabe’s daughter, she seemed far too educated for it. She looked every bit the heiress type, and she would know having grown up around quite a few. Plus she was practically one as well. She cracked a smile before she twirled around once before leaning into a bow to the little miss.
  
  “Well Miss Emily it’s my pleasure. And while I would love to say that it’s all fine and dandy… Well of course there’s no need to treat me. But uh… well I’ve been lost for days so if you happen to have a map, I’d greatly appreciate it.”
  
  She let out a dry laugh as she raised her hand behind her to rub her head.
  
  "See I'm not actually from around here. If the clothes didn't give it away, well I'm from Kalos. Lumiose City actually."

Rin & Company​

Rin looked over at Emily as she was offering something for their help. He frowned, "We may run into more perverts trying to take you if we stayed in the city, so I'll stick around for a bit." He really didn't like the idea of leaving a young girl to get kidnapped if he could help it. To Rin, Emily seemed like a target for many groups, being an heiress especially.

Sweetpea seemed to be oblivious to the agitated Pokemons' reactions towards her. She was a kind to throw her weight around, whether that was her literal weight, or the weight of her love or gratitude.

Looking over at Amalia, he noted her clothes as she mentioned being from Kalos. As for a map, Rin only had one on him. He couldn't just fork it over, though the redhead did ask Emily. He wondered if the blonde would even have one, if she had ever gone on a journey that many young children took. She seemed about that age, now that he thought about it.

Sweetpea sauntered back over to Rin, nosing at his hands and then his pockets. She knew that his other Pokemon had not been out of their Pokeballs since getting to the desert, as Rin took the precaution so none would accidentally get lost in any sudden sandstorms. So, Sweetpea was starting to wonder why they weren't out now. She stuck a horn to his belt, opening each of the other three Pokeballs that held her friends.

Out popped a Sylveon, Flaaffy, and a Spinda. Sylveon stretched his limbs out, a giant yawn escaping his maw, before turning his pale blue gaze over to the Zorua. He smiled, bounding over, sniffing at the shorter Pokemon.

The Flaaffy just lazily sat there, looking like she was just woken up, as her head bobbing up and down with partially closed eyes.

The Spinda looked around, realizing she didn't recognize her surroundings, startling herself. She quickly ran to Rin, wrapping her arms around his leg.

Sweetpea sat, looking quite proud of herself.

"Oh um please no need for the miss formality I'm far too young for that." She was then asked if she had a map and unfortunately with the fact that her leaving home was a very sudden thing, so she didn't have time to pack anything like that just a few essentials. "Um no sorry I don't have a map on me but I've lived around Unova for the entirety of my life so I wouldn't mind guiding you around miss Arianna." It was the least she could do really and be with someone else could make it so she is less noticeable by her father's men. Mr. Zippy seeing that it was no longer needed for the moment and won't be getting any more rest with crowed of humans and pokemon around simply hoped right out of Emily's arms and goes into her bag pulling out there pokeballs and would send out oddy the oddish and Ted the teddiursa after a moment of the ghost doll giving the other two instructions It would pick up its own ball going back inside of it for a long rest. Emily would simply walk over to the two and pick them up as well with Ted going into a hug and Oddy would sit on her head. "Oh um, this Ted and that's Oddy," she says introducing the two new pokemon.

  Oh she probably should have expected more coming from what she saw today. For some reason the thought that more suits could come to bother the girl didn’t cross her mind. She felt herself deflate at Rin’s insistence. For the amount of years she’d spent on the road she really did have a rather sheltered mentality still. She’d gotten by thanks to the poke network, the amount of trainers she owed her thanks to were too numerous to count. She was lucky her mom forced it on as a condition, being trapped would have killed her long ago if not for it. Food was hard for kids to properly identify and safely get without the tips of older trainers.
  
  Then again, was Emily properly registered? After all merely traveling with pokemon didn’t always mean that one had a pokedex and proper communications. The restrictions and repeals of some were unlikely for a child her age, but if she was being chased then it’s full possible she never had one to begin with. She clapped her hands together with a sudden realization, her journey would be on pause. She needed to get this itty bitty her own pokedex.

  And suddenly the whole crew was coming out. It seemed they did in fact have other pokemon. She forgot some preferred to keep their brood in their sleepy time pokeballs. No her pals would have to be dragged around as much as she did.
  
  “Ack you’re all adorable truly but EMILY. Em where’s your pokedex hun? Do you have one? How old are you!”
  
  At her questions she could hear Celeste kicking up a fuss as she always did with children. Soon the Carbink was circling Emily making vaguely upset noises. While Zoro aggressively sniffed the teddiursa in the girl’s arms trying to knock teddy down. Ruffles seemed intent on attempting to wake up the flaffy the elder boy carried. She was sure he was just trying to be comfy as usual given the other pokemon’s fluffy fur.
  
  “Ruffles! Zoro! Calm it!”

Rin & Company​

Rin started wondering to himself just how long he should hang around these two... Probably not too long, just in case his past caught up with him. He didn't want to drag people unnecessarily into his mess.

He contributed to the conversation of the land, "I have lived in Unova my entire life and have also done a bit of traveling." At his words, Sweetpea got the intention that they were for sure going to have more companions, and she couldn't be any more happy about it as she thrummed happily, clapping her paws together.

When the Banette brought out Emily's other Pokemon, Sweetpea got excited, as she felt the need to greet the others. She gave the same nuzzle to Ted and Oddy after Emily introduced them.

Once Arianna shouted out the blonde's name, Rin took to sitting on the grassy ground of the park, seeing as his Spinda has been tugging at his shirt since coming out. The Spinda climbed into his lap, hiding her face into his chest as he wrapping his arms protectively around the spotted bear Pokemon.

Rin stayed out of the Pokedex conversation, having nothing to add. He didn't have one himself. He never bothered trying to get one, for fear that it would make him much more easier to find by Team Plasma.

Sweetpea soon grew jealous of the Spinda and poked gently at Rin to also get pets.

The Sylveon who went and sniffed the Zorua nodded to himself, as it seemed the other was more intrigued by Ted. Noticing the Carbink seemingly becomingly agitated, the Sylveon felt the need to help. He started to emit the soothing aura that his species can give off through his feelers, hoping the agitated states of the Pokemon could calm down.

The Flaaffy looked at the Rufflet, tilting her head, not knowing why he seemed intent on keeping her awake. Smiling sleepily, she would attempt to wrap her arms around Ruffles and hold him close to her fluffy wool, and to drape her head over his head to try and go back to sleep.

"Ah um well you see I'm not actually a trainer, so I've never gone to get a Pokedex. The three I have with me are more just pets other than Mr. Zippy who considers himself my protector. Oddy and Ted are just babies who never seen training. Oh, I'm twelve by the way." While the young miss answered her new friends' questions the Carbink and Zorua where running angry around her. "Hmm did I do something to upset you?" She bent down to her knees to get a good look at there faces. And suddenly a smooth claiming aura would take hold it made Ted Oddy and Emily yawn her eyes felt heavy and hard to keep open. It seems like the fatigue from having to run around all night without sleep had finally caught up to her. The young miss would look up at everyone one last time before just outright passing in the grass. Ted would be released from her arms and look over at her trainer gently poking her face she was out and was sleeping soundly like a baby.​

  She heard the adorable goodra clap with happiness. She eyed her out of the corner of her vision. She smiled as Sweetpea came to nuzzle up to the others. Rin seemed to plant himself in the grass before shortly being covered in pokemon, part of her wondered if he was used to his pokemon clinging up. It wasn’t long until Emily was spilling the beans. Wait she was twelve? Arianna couldn’t rein in the gasp that she let go.
  
  “Twelve? Okay so you’re just the right age to start a journey on your own and these suitmen are harassing you? Whaaa. That makes no sense, geez where are all the network pals when ya need them?”
  
  She put her hands on her hips before throwing them up in the air. Ruffles was startled by the action as he tried to wiggle out from the flaffy’s grasp. Zoro meanwhile was all but laughing at Arianna. Celeste looked to be getting more and more worried.
  
  “Nonsense! Why I aught to-”
  
  She felt a soothing calm come over her. Oh how sweet. She stopped mid-sentence. What was she yelling about again? The streets seemed to clear up a bit as the town shifted out of rush hour. The grass beneath her feet looked more and more appealing. Yet before she could relax too much she heard the frantic screes of Celeste. Oh oh no Emily was out.
  
  “Well, there she goes. Good thing I have a nice room at the Inn. Hey Rin? Help me out here?”
  
  She went to carry the younger girl but she was sure that she wouldn’t be able to carry Emily on her own. Certainly not long enough to find the inn. Zoro did his best to help prop the girl up, while Ruffles started to fly up into the sky leading the way.
  
  “NORTH RUFFLES! Lead the way!”

Rin & Company​

Thanks to Sylveon's calming aura, the Spinda in Rin's lap soon calmed down, sitting down and facing everyone else. Rin couldn't figure out why Arianna was excited about the little girl's age until she mentioned the journey that was common for younger kids to take part in.

Network pals? Not having a Pokedex of his own, nor having ever gone on his own journey, that particular term was almost forgotten to him. Though, of course he soon remembered as he thought about it, having... run into Network Pals before. Rin hid his frown behind his Spinda's head. She looked up, poking Rin's forehead.

The Flaaffy snored when Ruffles started wiggling in her grasp. Why was the pillow so active? She sniffed, attempting to chomp lightly onto Ruffles head and would start drooling.

The atmosphere that had just started to calm down became frantic again, as the young girl, Emily, had passed out. The Sylveon jumped in surprise, and as much as he wanted to approach the girl who just passed out, he didn't want to crowd her. Or upset her Pokemon. Flaaffy had also become startled at the commotion, releasing Ruffles and standing up, suddenly alert, which allowed the Ruffles to escape her grasp. Spinda jumped out of Rin's lap, tugging his hand and trying to pull him up. Of course, Arianna had also asked for his help.

Rin wasn't a man to just leave someone passed out and not help. Especially since he still couldn't trust the area nor who was chasing her. He stood up, "Of course."

His Spinda ran over to Sylveon, who was her other crutch. The Sylveon gently patted her head with one of his feelers. Sweetpea was laying on the ground, pouting, whimpering while looking in Emily's direction.

Scooping Emily up into his arms, he held her princess style. He smiled softly at Zoro who had helped propped her up before following Arianna and Ruffles.

Emily lead the grass unmoving sleeping more or less soundly. Ted and Oddy would stay nearby seeing if she would wake again. Upon being picked up she would start moving around a bit more trying to reach out and grab something even at one point accidentally hitting Rin in the head. "No don't go." Almost as if being touched provoked some nightmare. Seeing this Ted would quickly climb up Rin's leg and into her arms where she would feel his fur and grabs ahold of him slipping back into a peaceful sleep. Oddy would follow Rin closely as they made their way to the inn.

  She was shocked to see how easily Rin managed to pick up Emily. Man she needed to work out some more, it’d been a long time since she’d been a proper wild child. Perhaps she should travel off the beaten road some more… No! Bad thoughts Ari. She focused back in on the task at hand. To the inn! With a twirl she started off.
  
  “This a way Mr. Rin!”
  
  Her Zoro hopped in excitement at the smile he received before skittering to Arianna’s side marching in tune with her footsteps. Ruffles kept chirping from his flight ahead coming back to check on Arianna. Celeste meanwhile took up the back screeching menacingly to anyone that got too close to the trio of humans.
  
  Arianna smirked as her pokemon fell into formation so easily. They really were a great team. Now if only it were this easy to find the nearest gym. She hadn’t been in a rush so she was avoiding asking any of the network trainers for help. After all she could at least navigate the city on her own. She had however been working on mapping routes on the mapping tab she had loaded up on her pokedex.
  
  She pulled it out and looked around finding where her last note was. Ah ha! Left they would go. She took out her stylus drawing in the path they took as they walked looking up occasionally to speak with rin.
  
  “So how come you don’t seem to be linked up to the network? Aren’t you a trainer? How old are you anyways? You seem closer to my age. Unless you just dress really nicely and- AH There it is”
  
  She opened up the main door and waited for Rin to enter. It was a sunny type of inn. Small, family owned, full of cute things. The daughter was always smiling as she tended to reception. It was the sort of cozy atmosphere she loved to see in her travels.
  
  “Room 102!”
