Pathfinder

Looking for a GM and some players for a Pathfinder game. I'm not interested in 5e whatsoever, and I like pathfinder over 3.5e. I'm flexible and have quite a bit of time on my hands. I'd volunteer to be a GM myself, but I've been heading up stuff for so long that I just want to be a player for once. I don't mind homebrew within reason, but i'm definitely not interested in the more 'advanced' technical stuff like railguns or mechs. If anyone's interested, please let me know.

I love Pathfinders! I'm interested, not sure if I could be a story teller. I've done it plenty of times with my friends but...never on a site for Pathfinder.

Well considering I've tried running pathfinder before on here in the past and it kind of flopped, if there were enough people I could run a story if people can stay to play

I'm thinking 4-6 peeps, and it looks like mosswine wants a non-high tech campaign so it looks like guns are off. No big deal.

Any races/classes off limits? Starting level?

Well before I do that, I'd like to know what kind of campaign everyone would like, aka Dark Sun (apocalypse like setting but metal is scarce), standard fantasy, etc.

I would vote for standard fantasy, but that's just me.

I would not mind standard fantasy.

Yeah I was thinking standard fantasy. Also guns are okay, but not the stuff like these. I'd say 4-5 players plus GM would be optimal.

There is plenty of stuff to tap into in a standard fantasy game without having to worry about black powder weapons. But if someone wants to go that way, its no skin off my back. I'm just trying to decide on a character concept that I want to run in this.

Core races plus Gnoll, lizardfolk, catfolk, duergar, goblin, hobgoblin, kobold, Orc, ratfolk, and vanaras.


Classes: core classes minus Barbarian, monk, and rogue. Adv. players guide classes minus summoner. All pathfinder unchained classes. Ultimate combat classes minus gunslinger. The magus from Ult. Magic. Adv. class guide classes minus warpriest and swashbuckler.


All paizo pathfinder archetypes allowed of course.


You're allowed 2 traits apg and I think UC have them.

Stat line: (because the dice are never fair to all) 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, you choose where they go.


We'll start you band of mercs (subject to backstory change) at level 2 (1,000 GP, you must but your clothes)

Also, alternate rulings/house rules.


1) armor as DR, there is no such thing as touch unless it's a spell, spells will be the only way to possibly ignore the armor dr.


2) acrobatics, I run it this way during combat: if you try to tumble through the threatens square, on a failure, you still move there but may provoke in each threatened sq.; when trying to tumble through enemies: on a fail, you bump into them, stay in your sq and you also provoke for the attempted target only.

Here is a question. Are there any insect type races available? I have a cool pic for a four armed humanoid insect that I'd like to try out sometime. If you don't want to go for that though, I can choose a different race to play.

If I was doing a dark sun campaign that'd be perfect for a thri-kreen. But alas, they are not a playable race in this one, sorry.
