  good morning, good afternoon, & good night. welcome to my lil' 1x1 search thread, my name is venus, i'm 21 years old, and i'm an on and off college student and art major with a little bit more free time on my hands at the moment. i sometimes like to make bbcodes, i enjoy indie and punk rock music, i watch a lot of movies, play some video games, listen to some podcasts. mainly i enjoy being friends with my rp partners instead of strictly being writing partners, i'm quite an open book, so pls feel free to chat with me about your interests too. also pls dm me if you're interested (so i can keep this thread tidy!)
  
  mainly, my favorite genres and types of plots to roleplay are action, drama, superpowers/metahumans, and supernatural/occult. i tend to prefer using female mains, though i also do love having multiple characters in a plot. i am happy to do any pairings! as you can tell once you read through my plots, i looove romance in plots, so if shipping and romance isn't your jam, we probably won't vibe together. that doesn't necessarily mean i want fast burn shoehorned romance, but i'm a big sucker for slow burn and found family tropes, so yeah!
  
  i will be v honest, i'm a bit of a slow writer! i can reply quickly and casually when we're ooc chatting and plotting out ideas, but writing actual roleplay replies can take time for me. on average, i can get one to three posts up per week (sometimes more, sometimes less, but i'll always communicate this with you.) irl life is usually busy for me, unfortunately. so yeah, if you haven't been scared off yet, please feel free to read the next three tabs to see my rules, interests, and plot ideas!

  when you stare into the abyss too long, it takes a part of you with it. working in the behavioral analysis unit of the fbi is grueling work, studying and investigating the minds of serial killers to anticipate and prevent their crimes from happening again, but it compels individuals like an aphotic zone, the morbid fascination of it all. a rookie agent and a long time member are partnered up to help investigate these crimes, and discover the possibility of something truly chilling.

  a hot humid summer back home leaves two prestigious boarding school students bored to death - quite literally. after committing an accidental murder ( "i swear it was self defense - i swear" ), the two share blood underneath their fingernails and swear to never tell a soul. one has a secret bloodlust, the other simply wants to keep them safe. soon, a letter arrives to their dorm. i know what you did. (inspired by 'the end of the f***ing world' and 'thoroughbreds.')

  hollowed out cities, war-torn wasteland, and blighted zombies. our muses are both surviving in a post-apocalyptic world, perhaps trying to escape from their own demons, or dictator-ruled compounds, looking for something out in the nothingness. maybe destiny has fated them to fight and survive for so long, only to finally meet each other. (meant to be a bittersweet romance survival plot. any pairing. inspired by TLOU.)

  based off the year king fable with a downturned twist, one muse is the quiet, resigned immortal prince/ss of zephyr, a still and cold kingdom burdened with a yearly curse. they live in a routine of despair; a figurehead for the kingdom, their only source of hope to continue living every year, and their lamb sent to the slaughter. one year, however, our other muse begins to work in the castle and wonders what will it take to break through to them. (i know i said nothing historical, but this is kind of meant to be a 'modern day' living thing, not medieval? does that make sense. anyways slow burn royal/guard or smthn romance oh yeah)

  first and foremost, please be 18 or older! sorry, but as a 21 yr old adult, i am uncomfortable roleplaying one-on-one with minors.

  any type of bigotry is absolutely unacceptable. it makes me sad that i even have to clarify this. but, i am a person of color and part of the lgbt+ community, and so any homophobia, transphobia, racism, prejudice, etc will not be tolerated here. miss me with that shit.

  be able to chat ooc with me! i really love being able to casually endlessly discuss plotting, world building, and especially our characters with each other. i love being able to make moodboards, playlists, pinterest boards, etc for our characters. i don't like us interacting when its strictly about rping, i honestly want us to be friends! if i feel like we're not compatible, or can't have a conversation, i most likely won't be interested. i also tend to prefer chatting over discord, feel free to ask me about that!

  as you can probably already tell, i'm quite the casual person ooc. but my writing is in 3rd person, and my replies vary from 300+ to 1500+ words, which means no one liners please! if you're happy to write at least 300 words or more for replies (a couple of paragraphs, give or take), we'll get along nicely. i might ask for writing samples, and i am happy to provide writing samples as well.
