Unrelated to the current vote, but posted an additional thread for NCQ; currently populated with PC financial details as requested earlier. I'll try to keep this up to date; but the thread will also contain data on stuff like specific enemy vehicle types and in-universe mail/newspaper articles.

Alright, basic EP1 introductory post will be posted tomorrow. For posterity, here's the plan on how it's all going to go down:

Following the same queue as last time: Based on character approval order. In short;

(start of loop)
Windsock
Malphaestus
Viper Actual
SkyHawk MK III
Tanya Degurechaff
YsFanatic
AnonyMouse
(end of loop, return to start)

Story-wise, we're going to start with a synopsis of New Maryland and the basics of everyone's living area. As the vote for the assigned base may or may not be ongoing I'll write around ambiguity there.

Everyone will have a 'loop' to describe their living area, how they set it up, how they're reacting to things, etc. I reserve the right to do a basic reactionary post or two interrupting the loop for any good reason, and if anybody would already say they'd like to be skipped over (don't see y tho), they can ask whenever. People who are missing and unresponsive for a notable amount of time will also be skipped automatically. Collaborations can be counted as either player's turn in the loop or both of their turns, at their own discretion. Feel free to collaborate (within reason, no huge posts no more); I'd just like to be invited to the conversation or review the collated product before you post it.

After that 'loop', we'll get down to the brass tacks and spend another loop (or even just half of one) figuring out what sort of missions you guys are gonna go on. This won't be Try not to be too individualistic: bunch up a little for my own sanity, would you? I'd go nuts handling 6 independent plot streams! I might be a hard worker but I'm only human, you know.

The mission ideas I got so far are as follows:

1: Aforementioned MAVERICK performance test. MAVERICK offers a final, live-fire battle test in real combat with a varying reward and debt-forgiveness based on performance. Targets are remote-control drones or replaceable dumb A.I. programs controlling generic vehicular enemies. A high-level pilot or two acts as an observer and 'referee'. The test may end in a short NC on NC fight, partaken and/or mediated by one of the higher-rate pilots. (try to impress senpai for a mentorship)

2: New-Baltimore is beset by bands of banditos; blast them to bits in a simple, low-level extermination contract. Independent warlords and terrorist groups litter everywhere in the world they can manage, and are always causing problems somewhere. You may need to snoop out their hideaways, but an easy operation nonetheless. A certain factor in this particular case was suggested by Viper Actual Viper Actual . Jennifer Peyton is pretty much guaranteed to go on this one. (find and smash dudes)

3: New-Baltimore trades for basic, important resources; an obvious target for pirates and others. A particularly important shipment is expected to come in by sea soon; and the previous escort will need to baton-pass to new guards as the freighter enters New-Maryland's eastern waters. A simple escort mission, unlikely to actually need NC grade firepower but important nonetheless. (intended for more character development and IC discussion)

If anything sounds cool already, tell me what seems interesting.

Option 1 makes the most sense for Adam in character. However, as I personally am also interested in option 2, I'd be willing to swap if enough other people want to do the performance test.

For our hangar/base, I vote Number 1, the naval base. It's got an airfield. It has a cozy, seaside locale. It has the option of underwater ops. Oh, and maybe some swimsuit action later.

As for the first mission, any of the three is fine by me, but I'm leaning toward Number 2, because it seems to mean something to one of the characters. Yay for character development and team building and whatnot.

I second thee.

About starter missions; just be aware I said 'bunch up a little', ya'll can go on different missions. Just know that in the future if I give you like 6 mission options, please don't pick all of them. It'd break my brain.

I suggest teams of 2-3 for this starter operation.

Oh, and tell me if any of this is wrong:

Highrise gang:
Streuben

Suburb gang:
Hazel
Adam
Camille??

Base gang:
Niko
Jennifer

Furthermore: AnonyMouse AnonyMouse and Viper Actual Viper Actual both of ya'll are doing custom handlers, and I'd like a sitrep of what you have so far in PM's.

Okay, finalizing Ep1 introductory post. It seems like Naval Base won, so I'll be writing with that in mind. I haven't had any objections to any of my assumptions so far, so I'll be posting the introduction soonish.

Forgot to notify everyone about ep1 starting smh

Malphaestus Malphaestus
Viper Actual Viper Actual
SkyHawk MK III SkyHawk MK III
Tanya Degurechaff Tanya Degurechaff
YsFanatic YsFanatic
AnonyMouse AnonyMouse

Anyway, we're officially in episode 1. As I said, everyone is going to set their scenes for a 'loop' or so (maybe less). Malph's Streuben is up to bat to start us off in his highrise. I'm letting people fill in the blanks of their living spaces but if you'd like more to go off of, hit me up.

Also reminding everyone to take a breather and slow down. A steady pace wins the race. Don't burn yourselves out and do your best to maintain a sure course, that's all I can ask for.

Reminds me of something else I wanted to say: my queue plan is just as negotiable as anything else, if anybody would like to be skipped or swapped or whatever else notify me and I'll do whatever possible.

Hey, fellow suburbanites, YsFanatic YsFanatic and SkyHawk MK III SkyHawk MK III

I'm working on a post (even though I'm last in the queue; don't worry, I'm not gonna post it 'til my turn) and I have some questions about our cozy little neighborhood, since our characters all live there. How close do we live to one another? Would you guys prefer we be down the street from one another, across from one another, or next-door neighbors? For the sake of interaction, I kind of like the idea of our three houses being in a neat little row, or maybe a cul-de-sac, but if anyone wants to be further away, that's cool.

Also, how much interaction have they had over the last couple of days? At the least, I would prefer if we assume our characters have already met. (i.e. Cammy would know their names, would recognize them on the street, and maybe know where they live, so we can skip the introductions.) But they haven't had enough time to really get to know one another; the real meat and potatoes of character development hasn't gone down yet.

I have no particular preferences in how the houses are arranged. I'm fine with basic introductions having been exchanged as I'd assume that there would be some curiosity about the LINKER in the wheelchair. I'm not sure how much Adam would have left the house other than a trip to the local store and one to the rail station just to familiarize himself with the path. Plus he'd want to make sure his new electric wheelchair doesn't have any issues getting to either location. So those are possible interaction points if nothing else.

I presume that all 3 would have placed names to faces and chatted a tad, but nothing more. As of the living locations, I like the idea of having our houses in a neat row, definitely helps with the interaction between them all. Hazel would be happy that she'd have some people to talk to that aren't complete strangers.

I'm thinking that Adam would have to leave early than most people to get to the meeting on time, but that it would be easy enough for either of your characters to catch up closer to the rail station if you wish to have an interaction.
