Marissa Amell

LOCATION: home -> the Rhodes manor || OUTFIT: click! || TAGS: Cam apolla apolla Cisco natsukashii natsukashii Lilith summerwine summerwine

The very first sip of the amber liquid in her glass warmed Mari’s body in this nice, tingling familiar way. “Smooth indeed.” she grinned and was actually surprised when Cisco didn’t leave. Honestly, she missed hanging out with him a lot. As kids, they spent so much time together but as they were growing up, they were also growing apart. It was making Mari sad a bit. Sure, they still had their comic book Wednesday and still had their fun together but they both knew it was not as it used to be. So when Cisco decided to stay with her, Marissa grinned widely.

“Beerpong? You wanna play?” she asked, a bit surprised. Okay, she might have been a glee kid but despite what everyone thought about them, they were not as lame as they were seen. They might not have been the party kings but they knew how to have fun. So when Cisco took her hand, she laughed and gave him a little squeeze so they were not separated in the crowd.

Once outside, Mari took another sip and looked around whether she would see Cam. “Wait a sec, Cisco. Hold this for me, please.” she asked her friend and handed him her cup. Since Cameron was nowhere to be seen, Marissa fished her phone out of her shorts and typed a message real quick. “Where did I lose you, Cam? We’re at the beerpong table. Wanna join us?” she texted Cam and took her cup back.

They came just in time to watch the ongoing match. Marissa watched it, quite amused and sipped her scotch, feeling its effect slowly take in. “You know what, Cisco? We should do this more often. I mean…hang out. Don’t even know why we stopped.” she said and shrugged, while they were waiting for their turn to play. “Don’t mean to be sappy though.” Mari laughed and looked around, seeing a few familiar faces. The popular clique was not the one Marissa hung out with but she knew a few people from there. Not all of them were…well, there were some nice people. And then there were…others. Mari’s eyes stopped at Lilith for a moment and the girl suppressed a groan. Yeah, no surprise, Lilith’s house, duh! Not that the two ever talked. Or not really. For Marissa, Lilith was a typical mean girl and she wasn’t afraid to say it to her face. Mari had nothing to lose after all, kids from glee club were never really the school’s favorites, no matter what they did. But while Mari’s friends from the club would never speak up in the presence of the populars, Mari could care less, speaking her mind every time she deemed it necessary. And if she had to be really honest, those bickering sessions with Lilith were quite fun. Not fun Marissa would deliberately search for, but fun nonetheless.

Oliver Rhodes
original.gif
Oliver was genuinely confused with Cain confronting him and Elena. Truth be told, Cain and him weren't exactly friends. They hung around together at parties and sometimes greeted each other in the hallways. Besides, their friendliness always felt fake. Maybe it had to do with them being on opposite sides of the tracks? Or perhaps Oliver's suspicions were right about Cain having a thing for Elena. Oliver didn't necessarily blame him for liking her, what is there not to like? However, the King would behead him in front of his subjects if it came down to it. Don't assume his kindness makes him weak.

Oliver unhooked his arm from Elena's and took a step forward towards Cain. Everything about Oliver just oozed confidence and superiority. From his perfect posture to the way he spoke. Oliver subtly scrunched his nose at the smell of alcohol wreaking from Cain, "Think you've had one too many drinks, Cain." Oliver took a deep breath, trying to control his temper. He gazed down at Cain, his eyes gleaming with his internal aggression, "Why don't you just go and pass out with the rest of kids who can't handle their booze?"

This is the last thing Oliver needed. All of Oliver's energy had been given to saving his relationship with Elena and staying clean. One thing going wrong might just push him over the edge.

"hey, dev? actually, do mind looking in the kitchen for something low cal and sugar free? and maybe something that won't stain my teeth? thanks, boo!" she said, lightly pushing him towards the house and sending him off with an air kiss. "also left a bottle of soju in the fridge for you! can't remember if it was lychee or peach flavored, but hopefully no one took it!" she added, keeping up her convincing smile (not like anyone at the party knew how to use the rhodes’ fancy-ass fridge anyway). he'd probably spend quite a bit of time searching for everything before coming back like a wind-up toy with drinks made in his hands. or maybe she'd just meet up with him again later- after she dealt with this situation. after all, she basically had the blueprint of the mansion burned in her memory. it was basically her second home. between hanging with lilith or staying over with oliver, she practically spent more time there than at her own house (not like she ever enjoyed always being home alone- she hated it), and anyway, devon was never too hard to find, either, since he was always the life of the party. she then turned her attention back to the situation at hand, her smile quickly disappearing from her face. this was going to be big fun for her... "hey, it's funny running into you guys again. it's not all that hard though, if I'm being honest. just gotta look for the couple fuckin' obsessed with keeping up appearances. you know, sewing your arms together so everyone gets the point. do you like having someone this obedient on a leash?" cain had asked, snarling. so that's what he came over for- to embarrass her. he said it in a laid back manner, but the words bit. elena couldn't help but let it get to her. he knew how to bring out the worst in her, and he liked her bitchiness. she didn't want to give him the satisfaction of seeing her riled up like he wanted to, but she could already feel the anger burning inside. it's not that she took people seriously when they were drunk, but from her experience, people spoke the truth about how they really felt when they were intoxicated. what cain said... elena definitely took to heart. it was quite offensive actually. she thought he was different. she didn't think he assumed shit about her like everyone else did. she thought he actually saw her for who she was, but no, it seemed like he thought she was as much of a manipulative, controlling bitch as everyone else did. did he think she was heartless and superficial too? well newsflash, this bitch has feelings, but she wasn't going to show him now. if he thought she was an ice cold bitch, then he was going to get that side of her. he was used to her bitchiness anyway, but everyone knew she wasn't one to be messed with, especially publicly and with the king at her side, but his drunk ass decided that it was a bright idea to do so and go after the royal couple. she couldn't decide if it was stupid or bold of him to mess with high school royalty, especially to challenge the king. and he was one to talk she had thought when he made his "puppy on a leash" comment. it had definitely rubbed her the wrong way. sure, she could admit that she could easily get whatever she wanted whenever she needed it, but it wasn't like cain didn't practically bend over backwards for her, too. in her mind, she had him whipped (or she'd like to think that). well, except for the fact that she couldn't control him from fucking up her whole world at times like this. plus, she didn't want to have a guy on a leash. she actually loved when a guy had control over her, and oliver was basically the only person who could control her... well other than cain. she and oliver fought plenty behind closed doors, and people knew it. she didn't think she actually had her boyfriend on a leash, though, right? oliver seemed to take a step closer toward cain to protect her. he gazed down at him (although he was only a mere 2 inches taller), trying to boast his superiority and show who was the top dog, looking ready to buttheads. as a response, elena stayed back a little. she liked being protected by him, and it was hella hot to see him get defensive. after all, she usually liked being fought over, and as toxic as it was, she couldn't deny how hot it was for the bad boy and the golden boy to go head to head. it was truly a classic, but being involved in it was not so fun. elena placed a hand on oliver's arm to reassure him as he began to tell cain off. oliver seemed to hold back with his words, hiding his anger and aggression. he might've even held back a little too much. cain had way over stepped the boundaries and had to get back in line. he drank their booze and openly disrespected oliver and his relationship at his own house party in front of everyone. she knew oliver wanted to stay clean, but if he didn't kick cain out, he at least deserved to get that snarl wiped off his face with a hard punch. she would've loved to see that in action. ugh, did this mean she was going to have to take matter's into her own hands? couldn't oliver have just taken care of him? she was not going to let them get stepped on, especially not tonight. god, why did she always have to be the bitch? elena stepped out from behind oliver, continuing to stay slightly behind him, and flashed her pearly whites toward cain. everything about her smile was convincing, except the look in her eyes that said "don't test me" said otherwise. commenting on her relationship- now that was the wrong move, and it was definitely not any of his damn business. "not really sure what you're talking about, cain. you clearly have no idea what goes on in our relationship, not that any of it concerns you. and if we're talking about dogs, it looks like someone needs to crawl back into the cage that they came from," she said, matching his calm, laid-back tone. "so what do you want from us? is there something you need?" she added gently, questioning why he approached them in the first place, even though she had a pretty good idea why. she kept her perfect smile plastered on her face and was careful of raising her voice, keeping it level to prevent him from realizing that he really got under her skin. what did he expect coming up to them? was he really so angry that she didn't drop everything for him? she had made it pretty fucking clear, many times, that she had a boyfriend. Lamarcus grinned in Arya's direction at her words, his gaze softened on the brunette and he let out a short chuckle. "You're not looking too bad yourself, Ary." He said back. If he hadn't his dark skin tone a faint pink blush likely would've burned onto his cheeks, perhaps he was more susceptible to compliments when he was tipsy. Lamarcus turned his body towards the three at his side. He leaned his back onto the island this time, one hand still clasped around the drink.

"Hey, don't water down heading to New York just 'cause we're here." At Arya's words though, he scoffed, and rolled his eyes with evident exaggeration. "I had plenty of valid points in our arguments, Ry. Admit it." Lamarcus let out another laugh, but with his free had, quickly swiped a couple edibles from Arya's baggie. "You're not gonna' miss these." He chimed, and after tossing them into his drink, he swallowed it with the liquid like he was drinking a pill. All three of the gummies now swam in his stomach, and he didn't care too much what the effects would be later on, honestly. As long as he had a good time, he'd be alright.

When he rose his eyes again, he couldn't help but catch Lilith's wink, one that made him pause for a moment as he walked her strut off. He tried his best to hide a mischievous grin, an urge to just swoop her off her feet and throw her into the back of his car, but even with the effects of the substances in his body floating around, he was accustomed to it to the point where he had at least some control over his actions.

Lamarcus' eyes widened, and quickly returned to Arya at her words and insinuation. "What the hell would make you think that?" He snapped, and tore his eyes in the opposite direction of the beer pong table, and into the crowd just to make his point. He stayed silent for a moment, pondering if he'd been caught or not... If she'd noticed where his eyes had lingered. But if Arya find out, or Reagan... would they even care? "...But if you guys want to go..." He succumbed to the idea of playing beer pong and shrugged. "I'll watch. Don't think I've got the coordination to throw much anything but I'll be a cheerleader for the night. Hmph."

Rowan couldn't hide the beam that flushed his cheeks as he received praise for his shot, although it was more likely a fluke than not. He became aware of himself as result of the sudden attention, and he thought it might have been from his question pertaining the way the game worked. Even Lilith had something to say about it, claiming that Rowan was ample competition for Aiden. She went so far as to flash a friendly smile that warmed him up a little. He couldn't help grinning back, looking bashful and appreciative of the commentary from someone so profound in school.

Devon was ecstatic and over the top, but it was welcomed by someone as passive as Rowan. They made a definite yin and yang pair, but it worked.

Nervously, Reed nodded at Devon's answer to his inquiry, gripping a solo cup and sighing with readiness. Or not-so-readiness. He wasn't sure. He'd drank before, but honestly only a beer or two at a time. And now he had to basically shotgun one down all at once. He grinned with apprehension, looking to Devon for reassurance before downing some of the beer. It was a little cooler than he thought, which was good. But it was also a little hoppier than he'd like, which wasn't so good.

With his drink in one hand, he accepted the sudden high five from Dev on the other. It hit stronger than he thought, and a little bit of beer speckled the fabric of his shirt. His anxious brown eyes darted left and right to be certian no one saw as he finished his drink. It made him burp like a warthog, drinking it so fast. "My bad." The boy muttered, laughing shyly and pocketing a free hand.

Next thing he knew, Dorian was up to the plate and Devon had to dip for something. 'Hold down the fort, bro! I'll be back with stuff that doesn't taste like cheap shit or that bubbly shit.' His friend exclaimed before jetting off in a random direction. He was already busted, wasn't he? Aiden seemed rather dry toward Ro, but something told him he always leaned toward that sort of tone. Besides, what would he say to someone like him? He took the praise and shut up, messing with a pebble on the ground like a mini soccer ball as he waited for Dorian.

Madelaine almost didn't hear Brielle as the words flew out of her mouth. Luckily she was used to the girl's fast-talking by now or she would've completely missed everything said. Did she say she hooked up...with Cain??? Part of Madi wanted to praise her friend because while Cain wasn't the take home to your parents' type, he was a looker and that had to count for something. Right? On the other hand, well, it was Cain. Not that Madi had anything against the guy. He was Dorian's friend and they spoke sometimes, even flirting every now and then though she felt it was only in front of Aiden which she found kinda odd. Okay, off subject. She snapped back to reality hearing Bri's next words.

Madi could tell that her friend was nervous and on top of it stressed about the possibilities of the Cain situation. After all, she was rambling. "Bri. Bri....Brielle!" she called out, her hands falling on the girl's shoulder as she gave a firm but gentle shake. When Bri finally snapped out of the trance, Madi dropped her hands. "Hey, you gotta breathe. So what, you guys had some...fun. That doesn't mean you can't stay friends. You gotta stop avoiding him though," she started, her tone was soft as she spoke. "I know you, B. You aren't one to be okay with losing a friend but if you guys don't talk about this soon, that might happen," she added, scanning the room but she didn't see Cain at the moment.

"Look, you're not the only one who has gotten drunk and slept with someone they probably shouldn't have. I have been there," she admitted, partially wanting to open up to her about her own rendezvous with Lamarcus. Not now though. She'd tell Bri in time or if the girl asked her about it but this was about Brielle and Cain. "You guys were friends first and that's important. It's worth fixing," she reminded her, offering a warm smile. She hoped her advice was decent enough to convince Brielle. "You want me to help you find him? Or maybe we can drink a little more to give you some liquid courage? Not too much, of course," she laughed a little knowing that's what got her into the mess in the first place.

One of the first things Cain noted was the perplexity on Oliver's goddamned face at his confrontation toward the fucking power couple. He knew why it took the guy so off guard. People didn't do that. They just didn't. He could destroy them in whatever style he pleased - behind the scenes, or not. Oliver had the reputation he had for a reason, and plenty of resources to back him up.

Although Cain didn't have that, he didn't give a shit. Even if it took him out somehow, he'd say whatever the hell he pleased, and to whoever he pleased. To him, everyone was equal. And it wasn't in the heartwarmingly fuzzy way. It meant everyone deserved to get called out on their bullshit. You don't get away with things just because you're popular. Kings could still be beheaded.

He was certain that Oliver's confusion went further than just status, however. It was likely never confirmed to the high school King that he and Elena had had various intimate and intense moments, all of which tugged at Cain's heart like no one ever had in the past. It wasn't just her looks. It had everything to do with her being. Even when she was a bitch, which Cain still praised. It was kind of cute sometimes.

As Oliver stepped toward Lagos, he kept his stance exactly the same, eyes locked. Alpha males seldom remained pacifist with one another. As the opposing males nose scrunched up, Cain scowled with risen brows, listening to his scalding comment about his alcohol intake.

He let out a single laugh with disdain and agitation, completely aloof to his commentary on that matter. "You think it's gotta be the booze, right? Cause people don't fucking call out fake shits with your type of rank, for whatever reason." He wanted to say more, but Elena decided not to wait idly by and hear the two duke it out. He could have smiled. That was his girl. She didn't need to be protected all the time. She could hold her own.

Clearly, she took what he said to heart, utterly offended by his words regarding their relationship. He understood why she was mad. He didn't care.

Her smile was see-through. Well, it was to Cain. He never had trouble knowing plenty of the things rushing through Elena's head - nor the feelings she coped with. It was second nature for him to understand her mind. She told him off without restraint, full claws out and latched onto his throat. She didn't like to be embarrassed like this. Again, he didn't care. At least not right then, and not for something regarding Oliver.

His eyes turned to Elena, a half smile piqued on his face. "It's not my business. You're so right. It's everyone's fuckin' business. You flaunt it like a peacock flaunts its feathers, and everyone knows you guys are trying to make it work for the sake of titles." He began, tilting his head partly and narrowing his eyes just a touch to appear extra spiteful.

He could have said what he wanted to say. He could have publically exposed their relationship. But even he didn't want to dish out that type of shit right now. "I didn't want anything, really, Lena." He spoke her name with heat; anger, and resentment just for right then. She was so good at acting like he was a speck in a field of millions to everyone else. It only pissed him off more.

He looked back to Oliver, eyes unblinking. "How's your sports injury? Did your lavish physical therapy help? They rub hot diamonds on your back and tell you you're more special than everyone else? Hope you healed up real nice." Cain added, passive aggressive and hateful.

Dorian's eyes had previously been on the game in front of him, only shifting to Noah when he walked up. He'd so wanted to ignore Lilith when she too waltzed up to the table but it looked like that wasn't in the cards. Instead, her voice met his ears, and as much as he wanted to walk away it was as if his feet were glued to the spot he was in. Why the hell was she able to do this to him? It annoyed him to no end. He managed to look in her direction as she spoke of Rowan, her false smile clear as day. If she wasn't blatantly insulting someone she was faking nice which, if you asked Dorian, was even worse. "Come on now, Lilith. We both know I have skills in better games than beer pong. Games we played...right here as a matter of fact," he smirked, motioning to where the table was set up. He was determined not to let her see that she was getting under his skin though he was sure she could anyway.

"He's right. If you're gonna diss someone else then put your money where your mouth is. We can always make a friendly wager," he shrugged. What was he thinking? Was he an idiot? Too late now. Here he was in a war zone with Lilith on the other side of a loaded gun. At least, that's how it felt. This girl had crushed him once upon a time and still to this day he felt every bit of that day when he saw her. She was his first love after all. The fact that she had just so nonchalantly blown him off one day not only angered him, it had baffled him. He'd tried to ask her for a reason but she'd been very adamant in ignoring him until he eventually gave up on the why.

All there was between them now was banter and snarky comments along with looming tension. It was honestly ridiculous but neither of them would let up. He snapped out of the thoughts and looked up, his eyes meeting hers again. "So, what's it gonna be? You really gonna back down from a challenge?" he finally spoke up again, further provoking her. He hadn't noticed her glances at Aiden or he likely would've questioned them but instead, his focus was on her response.

Clementine Risi
[/div] [div class=textbox][div class=scroll][div class=text]The conversation with Madi hadn't been one to write home about and frankly, Clementine was a bit glad about that. She had a deal with the girl's brother that they didn't involve anyone in their relationship so she was happy to keep it that way. When the cheerleader excuse herself, it left the Italian woman to direct her attention to the mechanic who graced her with his presence. Jake was a rather good friend of the girl and they found themselves teetering on the edge of being something more but neither of them really tested that line. Especially not when she was involved with another person, it was a conflict of interest. And while most of the students wouldn't think twice about cheating, she found herself inclined to stick to one person at a time.

"Jake you finally showed up. I thought you never would get here." She smiled cheekily at the curly-haired boy and moved over closer to him, slightly bumping their shoulders together. "So what's this about looking everywhere for me hm? Couldn't wait to see me after soooo long?" A playful laugh escaped Clementine as she also drank some of the alcohol in her cup, knowing that Jake wasn't the type to be that attached to her. They FaceTimed a bit over the summer months, mostly due to her boredom and his inability to say no to her requests. It was one of the things she enjoyed about him, he always made exceptions and it made her feel special.

The cooling summer breeze danced across her exposed skin and she shivered slightly, not having a jacket on her at the moment. It was rather stupid of her to dress in such a revealing outfit with nothing to wear over it, but the damage had been done. From inside the house, she could hear arguments and disputes going on, which only caused her to roll her eyes, uninterested in what was going on in there. It was the same bullshit every year. People cheated, slept around, broke each other's hearts, etc. It was pointless to even be surprised by the dramatic events at this point. She survived the popular crowd for years and she had no desire to consider herself part of it again. Instead, she turned around, looping her arm with Jake's.

"How about we head down to the beach? We can just drink and talk that way, you know, avoid this whole drama fest." Without waiting for an answer, she began to pull the male back inside the house, weaving in and out of the crowd, not really caring about who she passed or who looked at her. The hierarchy was irrelevant to her as she didn't respect it or acknowledge it. Maybe it was stupid on her part since it caused her to be a target of bullying and whatnot, but she couldn't care any less. "You know I bet that as soon as we leave this place, a huge fight is going to break out." Clementine rolled her eyes at her own comment, her grip having shifted to the boy's hand, making sure that he didn't get stolen by his other friends at the party.

Stepping in rhythm to the music, Devon wandered in the direction of the kitchen. Getting there wasn't as hard as it was remembering Elena's list. Using his fingers to keep track, he muttered to himself, "Low cal, sugar free, no stain, soju bottle," all the while.

He beelined for the fridge when he got to the kitchen. Soju first, obviously. As he rummaged through the shelves filled with foodstuffs, he chanted, "Lychee soju, peach soju, lychee, peach, soju, soju," to keep himself on track. With a shout, he grabbed the green bottle hidden in the back and hip-checked the door shut. It was lychee, his favorite because sweet flavors were always the best.

Swigging down half the bottle with a content sigh, Devon meandered out towards the drinks table. Nudging himself between Lamarcus and Reagan, he paused to stare at everything on the table intently. Turning to Arya with a furrowed brow, he said, "Fuck. This doesn't make sense. Was it cow, sugar, champagne? Does she want milk? That's good for you, right?"

He has a feeling that he's wrong, but he doesn't know where. They didn't even have champagne.

Cradling the rest of his drink, he ran his fingers through his hair, getting a little tangled along the way. This party was shit. Why was no one dancing? Or hotboxing the bathroom? Making out against a wall? He looked at his bottle for a moment before chugging it down. He could solve one of those problems.

"How about a game?" Devon turned to the three around him with a bright grin as he shook the bottle. Detaching himself, he stumbled off toward a wide, open space. He passed by the pong table on his way and caught sight of Rowan. Stepping closer to the table, he announced to the party at large with a slur to his words, "Come on, spin the bottle's happening! Let's get it!"

He plopped himself down as he waited for people to gather around. The bottle glinted in the light with terrible teenage potential or some other poetic shit.

Reagan peered over at the ping pong table to see who was already gathered. There wasn't anyone that would make her think why Lamarcus seemed so worked up for. Though there were a couple of people over there that never failed to give Reagan a headache. First was Lilith of course, she seemed to stand out more than usual, Reagan couldn't believe that she was even friends with her during her time as a prep. But there were plenty of things she put up with in the past. They've come to blows before ever since Reagan and Arya became friends, and tonight would be no different if she tried anything against Arya or her.

Then there was Dorian, having used to be best friends with Madi, they used to be somewhat close as well. Reagan put up with his player tendencies with other girls in the past as well but ever since he hurt Arya, things between them were tense since then and still are. Aiden and Rowan were the only ones that Reagan could stand out of the current group at the table. Rowan she hardly knew outside of Arya poking fun at him from time to time. Aiden, on the other hand, was one of Arya's friends and Reagan couldn't deny he was good looking when she first met him but she wouldn't say that out loud, not sober anyway.

Suffice to say, Reagan wasn't too excited about playing pong at that moment and didn't want any shit to stir up while they were there. But if Arya and Lamarcus were down for it, who was she to say no?
Reagan wraps an arm around Arya, "Lead the way babes, if Lilith even says one bad thing to you then she's got another thing coming." Her body felt way more relaxed and gave into each movement more excitingly. Whether this was the alcohol or weed doing this to her was anyone's guess. Reagan wasn't much of a lightweight when it came to alcohol, she didn't know if that would apply with edibles.

"With you cheering us on maybe Arya and I can actually get our shit together." She flashed Lamarcus a grin.
Right before they were about to leave for pong, Devon had wedged himself in-between her and Lamarcus with an intense look on his face.
"Sup Dev." She greeted, waving her free hand at him. She watched as he tried to piece together his thoughts and eventually stumble off suggesting a game of spin the bottle. This was a chance to avoid the ping pong table for now, and something that she knew Arya and Lamarcus would enjoy too.

"Hey that sounds like fun, let's do that first then pong?" Reagan asked a little too excitingly, her body was unknowingly already trying to swing itself in that general direction.

It was true that he and Marissa haven’t hung out like this in God-knows how long. Before high school, they were practically unstoppable and inseperable. The two were like two peas in a pod (or so those around them would say). Mari had always been a gentle person, which always paired well with his usual hyperactive self. He knew he could be a little much for some, but she never seemed bothered by it. He could remember there were times where all she did was encourage him to by like that. And that brought Cisco back to what she said.

He turned around, curving his lips down into a slight frown. “If I’m being honest, I don’t know,” Cisco admitted, hands awkwardly hanging in his pockets. “I mean, i guess it’s because we just drifted apart after junior high.” He knew that wasn’t any excuse. His parents didn’t raise someone who dropped their friends, which Cisco didn’t but the guilt he had been feeling all night started to take control of his usual chipper mood.

Cisco thought back to the last time they did this when it wasn’t for comic book Wednesday and it’s been a few years. He adored Marissa and always felt close to her despite how distant they have become. Never did he once think she was any less important to him than Devon was or Oliver for that matter. Cisco loved all of his friends, but he could admit when he fell out of touch with some. He knew it happened, especially the more involved with the upper-hierarchy of Doveport High he became, but he hoped that Marissa knew he never forgot about the bond they had before all of that.

“I’m sorry, Marissa.” The frown persisted. Cisco kicked the wooden floor of the deck as he looked down.

A few moments passed and Cisco let the excitement of the party draw his attention away from those who were outside, which caused Cisco to be bumped into Marissa. He caught himself but heard Devon’s voice from inside. For a moment, he let his eyes wander inside but the others at the party put that to an end, so he shrugged. His gaze returned to Marissa. "But I plan on taking full advantage of this new school year! You'll be seeing so much of me, you might just want to go back to one day a week." Cisco let out a loud chuckle, knowing Marissa never restrained him from being as energetic as he could. Still, others have ingrained it on him that sometimes that he needed to cool it.

Cameron didn't know how much time passed while she stared at the waves until she felt her phone buzz. It really hadn't been that long, but she had been lost in her own thoughts so it felt like coming back from a mental vacation. She pulled her phone out and looked down at the message, a small smile growing on her face upon reading it. Marissa always had a way of making Cam feel included, and Cam was very grateful for her even if Mari didn't know she'd just snapped Cam out of feeling sorry for herself.

“Where did I lose you, Cam? We’re at the beerpong table. Wanna join us?”

Typing out a response, Cam locked her phone and put it away, turning around and heading back inside. She felt a bit better, and appeared a bit brighter, like normal. No one knows what goes on behind closed doors unless you tell them, and no one really knew about the issues that Cam struggled with. Aiden, much as she hated to admit it, never seemed to have trouble fitting in no matter where he went. It was just another thing that Cam hated about him, really. She had a small group of friends, but she felt like a jagged puzzle piece a majority of the time. Like she didn't quite fit.

She'd always chalked it up to 'maybe that's just how high school is' but was it really? Or would she always be that jagged puzzle piece that never quite fit?

Frowning at the direction her thoughts had gone yet again, she sighed and looked around the room for her friend. Not one to want to inflict her own pain or issues on others, she did her best to shove those thoughts aside. After all, she was careful. She never let anyone see the scars or marks, and no one ever questioned her. Because they don't know. She told herself, finally spotting the beer pong table as she walked further into the place. Rowan had just announced spin the bottle and gone to plop in a mostly clear section, just as Cam appeared by Mari and Cisco.

"Spin the bottle, hm?" She smiled brightly at her friend and gave Cisco a small wave. "You want to?"

Location: beer pong table | Tags: Dorian & Madi ( jasmyn jasmyn ); Rowan ( Parallax Parallax ); Devon ( laburnum gold laburnum gold ); Noah ( oliver oliver ); Lilith ( summerwine summerwine ); Elena ( Keira Winston Keira Winston )

The game wasn't that serious of one, but it definitely drew quite the crowd. A slow grin spread on his features when Dorian complimented Rowan, who'd made his shot. "Well fuck you too, man." Aiden laughed, though he knew he'd probably have to pop one of the pills in his pocket if he wanted to make it through the night. Elena and her boyfriend, the King and Queen, appeared and she flashed a flirty look at Dorian. Aiden just smirked, though hid it behind taking a sip of his drink.

Devon disappeared to make drinks for Elena and co., leaving them a man short for the game. "What the-" Dorian yelled for Noah to take his place, and he agreed. Madi and Bri disappeared, and Aiden's eyes automatically searched for the former, though he wasn't sure why. They weren't together anymore. When he heard Lilith's voice, however, his eyes slid towards her. "You never know." He shrugged, glancing at Noah. The two had some back and forth, but Aiden tuned it out.

And then Noah asked her to join them. Challenged her, actually, and Aiden's interest grew. And then Dorian seconded the challenge, and Aiden's grin grew. "Sounds like you're wanted." Aiden gestured towards the opposite end of the table. "Want to show us what you've got?"

Devon appeared again then, spouting off about spin the bottle on his way past the table. A childish game, really, but who didn't like making out? Dropping the ball he'd been holding into one of the cups of water, he grinned at Lilith. "Maybe later, then." Downing the rest of his drink, he nudged Dorian and nodded towards spin the bottle. "Seems fun, right? What could go wrong?" Laughing darkly, he made himself a new drink and then headed to sit down a few spaces away from Devon. "Let's get this shit going!"

The frown was really there. Suddenly Marissa felt totally guilty. She started the gloomy topic though she just pointed it out, didn’t mean anything wrong. “Hey, Cisco, you don’t have to feel bad.” she said gently and looked up at him. With her height, she always had to look up when talking to people, tiny person she was. “I get it, you have your crowd, I have mine. It is what it is. And we still have the comic book Wednesday, right?” she smiled and bumped his arm in a friendly way. “I really didn’t say it to make you feel guilty or anything.” she added and a slight blush appeared on her face.

There was a short moment of silence between them when Marissa kept staring inside her cup and circled the scotch. Her phone buzzed and she felt thankful, at least she could do something so she checked the message and smiled. Cam was coming back and Mari wondered where the blonde had disappeared in the first place. And Cisco’s next words cheered her up even more. “Oh, my boy, I’m gonna hold you to it. You know I’ll never say no to that.” Mari grinned and raised her glass towards him. “Cheers, amigo.” she said and hit his cup with hers, taking a long gulp.

Just them Cameron emerged from the crowd and Mari flashed her a joyful look. “There she is. Where were you?” she asked, looking at her friend, finally not having to tilt her head back. There was rather a commotion around them and Marissa heard the words ‘spin the bottle’ though she regarded it as she possibly heard wrong. People didn’t do that anymore at parties, or did they? But when Cam asked about joining it, Mari hesitated.

Her eyes went from Cam to Cisco and back. She played the game several times but it was more like a children game back then, nothing serious. When she was old enough to actually play it properly…well, let’s say she never had the chance. So far.

Her cup was still filled with something around two good shots. Mari brought it to her lips and downed it all at once. If she was gonna play that, she would need much more than that but it was what it was. Besides, she promised herself to do everything during her senior year, it could just as well start with this shit. “Yeah, let’s go.” she said and exhaled, feeling some weird butterflies in her stomach or what not.

ARYA HILLS.
original.jpg

Arya’s body stiffened. She hadn’t expected Lamarcus to lash out like that. To hide the embarrassment painted across her cheeks, she turned towards the liquor table and snatched up another can of beer. “I’m just teasing, bud,” she said with an amused snort, but chose not to press any further. When it came to friends, Arya was a people-pleaser. With acquaintances, on the other hand, she never knew when to stop.

At the mention of Lilith’s name, she childishly stuck out her tongue. “Let’s pretend she doesn’t exist, Prep.” Her eyes wandered towards the aforementioned’s direction, who was clad in a fitted, red dress that hugged her curves. Beautiful. It was the only word she could use to describe that girl, despite her stomach churning at the thought. Oh, how Arya wished her eyes and brain could both agree that Lilith was a hideous person.

The longer Arya stared, the more distorted her world became. It wasn’t just the dress that was red, but Lilith’s entire body. It reminded her of a wasp, wiry and vicious. She blinked a few times, trying to reform reality. When she couldn’t, Arya huffed, and glanced up to Reagan, her words cursive, “I don’t wanna get stung.”

A familiar figure slipped himself in between the group, but his attention was oddly fixated on the table. Was he okay? Arya found Devon hilarious, but struggled to tell when he was serious or just being... well, Devon. “Hey, is everything goo-” Before the words left her mouth, he turned to her and started spewing nonsense. It felt like half of his words disappeared on their journey to her ears. Cow? Champagne? It was impossible to connect the two - unless cows suddenly enjoyed drinking. Unable to board the other’s train of thought, Arya opted for nodding as Devon spoke, then, when he was done, responded with a firm “yes.”

When Farrow proposed to do spin-the-bottle first and beer pong later, Arya’s eyes lit up in excitement. Sure, the game was a little immature, but it never failed to heat things up. To be perfectly honest, Arya was a little surprised Reagan wanted to play, considering the fact that she could never figure out who the hell was Reagan's type. “Is that even a question?” Dancing her way through the crowd, Arya trailed after Devon and Reagan, the floor like air beneath her feet. There were a few other people sitting on the ground by the time she got there.

“Hunts!” Arya exclaimed to Aiden, “I was beginning to think I’d never see my favorite entrepreneur.” She tapped his head as she sauntered past him, enjoying her newfound tallness with him sitting down.

Arya plopped down in a spot between Devon and Aiden, but left plenty of room on either side of her, so newcomers could easily slip into the circle. She hugged her knees to her chest and glanced around at the misshapen circle. “So, what are house rules, Dev?”

Brielle almost didn't catch the slight hesitancy in Madelaine's voice when she was talking about hooking up with someone she shouldn't have. Key word: almost. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion of who she was talking about, but it left just as fast as it arrived when Madelaine proposed finding Cain to talk. After the little prep talk she'd just received she was sure she was ready to talk to the boy whenever the time came, she just never planned to ask him to talk about it. Her mind was having a back and forth between her not rushing and just waiting; with the other side saying she should stop being scary and go speak to the boy. While the internal discussion was happening her hands were playing with the tips of her braids, as she found it strangely calming. While her head was placed on the shoulder of Madelaine she came to the conclusion that she'd stop being a baby and talk to the boy. Thus began their weaving through party goers in search of Cain, with Madelaine going on about how proud she was of Brielle handling her shit. A small smirk of amusement made way to Brielle's lips, finding humour in her antics since it truly wasn't that serious. Then again she was just crying like a wuss about the situation to Madelaine so she couldn't say anything.

Spin the fucking bottle? The two girls were on their way to Cain when Madelaine caught a whiff of the circle forming of people who wanted to play the game. Brielle stood to the side in confusion while Madelaine chirped happily with Devon and the confused look on her face never left, even after Madelaine came back to her. The girl then proceeded to tell her "Change of plans, Cain can wait" and pointed back to the circle of people with Devon. While gently tugging Brielle by the wrists she explained that a game of spin the bottle was about to start and the two were going to be participating. The grin on her face faltered when she realized Brielle wasn't excited to play at all, but she eventually persuaded Brielle into playing. Parties were most definitely not Brielle's scene and if she was panicking about Cain what about however many lips she kissed today? Either way she was going to have to play, and maybe something good could come out of it? She wasn't sure about that but it'd never hurt to play, and she wouldn't have to drink if everyone was playing here so technically it was a half win.

She took a seat beside Devon, sending one last playful glare to Madelaine and then turning her attention over to Devon. "We meet again" she said, a dorky grin placed on her face. Looking around the people seated in the circle so far she caught sight of Aiden and Arya as well. When she locked eyes with Arya the tension was suddenly so thick you could cut it with a knife. An awkward wave was sent her way as she fought on what to say with her old friend; kindness was always the easy way out, right? "You uh look great tonight, Arya" she said to the girl, a small smile packaged with the sentence. After shooting a quick glance around the now fully packed house she diverted her attention back to Devon, her smile making its way back on her face. "Yeah Dev, we need your special set of rules" she said, while crossing her legs to get comfortable. Placing her elbow on her thighs and her cheek on her palm she turned back to Devon, big amber eyes watching him.

Madelaine had been following Bri in her search for Cain, hoping to offer some moral support for the girl. She was glad that Bri wasn't going to retreat into a dark corner and just avoid Cain especially because it wasn't like they just had classes together. They were friends. Before they could reach him though, she noticed him near Oliver and Elena and he seemed pretty wasted. Already? "Change of plans, Cain can wait," she let slip, looking around for an excuse as to why. Thank her lucky stars for Devon. "I heard someone say spin the bottle. Let's play!" she suggested, not wanting to lead her friend into a battlefield. "Come on, Bri. It's a party, it might be fun! No strings attached!" she begged, finally convincing her to go along with it. She smiled and pulled her friend along to the circle, breaking free from her and finding a place to sit.

Madi opted out of sitting next Aiden and Arya, alternatively sitting on the other side of the circle and taking a deep breath. She would've never willingly played this game herself but here she was. The things you do for friends, right? Her eyes scanned the players who had made it over and she instantly felt like it was a bad idea though. Amongst them were exes, lovers, former friends....was it too late to back out? Thankfully she noticed Cisco and company approaching the area and felt a sense of relief. "Coco! Come sit with me?" she called out, motioning for Cam and Marrissa to join her too. At least if they all sat with her she wouldn't feel so alone or have to sit by people she didn't want to. Besides, Cisco was a sort of comfort for her and she definitely needed that right now.

"I feel like I haven't seen you in ages," she pouted playfully as she pulled him down beside her. She knew both Cam and Marissa, not as well as she knew Cisco but well enough to be friendly with them both. She wasn't sure how Cam felt about her though. They had never had any beef between them personally but Madi hadn't always been the greatest friend to the girl either. She didn't stick up for her as she should mostly due to their clashing circles and a stupid need to protect her reputation. Habits she wanted so desperately to break free from this year.

"Enjoying the party yet?" she asked, directing the question to the girls in an attempt to make small talk before the game began. Soon her eyes flickered in Devon's direction as she heard people calling out for him to get things started. Here goes nothing. "Remind me why we are torturing ourselves with this game," she whispered to cisco and the girls, a soft laugh escaping her. She took the solo cup she'd picked up along the way over and brought it to her glossed lips. Liquid courage was much needed right about now.

Lamarcus took another swig at the red solo cup, downing more than half of its contents before Devon appeared and nudged him in the side. He'd almost dropped his drink, forced to clasp his hand around it tighter so it wouldn't slip through his grip. If somehow Devon were responsible for Lamarcus losing his drink, he wouldn't care if it was Devon's natural disposition as the ditz. His anger would definitely get the better of him, and he wasn't too sure how he'd react towards Devon. For now though, he let out a grunt in annoyance at Devon's interruption, eyes following Devon's gaze. It bounced from drink to drink to drink, whilst Devon spoke gibberish about cow, milk, and champagne. In his place leaning on the island, looked over wide-eyed at Arya and Reagon, an expression of "what the fuck is he doing?" painted on his face.

But just as quickly as Devon had interrupted them, he disappeared back into the party with whatever he'd come to get, likely going to annoy another group of people. Don't be mistaken, Lamarcus loved partying with Devon, the guy just knew how to have a good time. But with the alcohol starting to hit, a buzzing reverberating throughout his spine, and his focus loosening, Lamarcus had to stay on edge if he wanted to grasp onto some iota of self-control. Hell, it'd taken everything in his being not to knock a right hook into Devon's cheek and he was only getting a drink! "Note to self, don't mix every damn thing on the table together and call it a drink. It will make you super annoyed, and ticked off at everything." Lamarcus thought to himself.

His attention turned back to Arya and Reagan though, and a smile returned to him once again. Reminiscing the mischief they'd all been up to the past couple months definitely did put some ease into him. Lamarcus pushed himself off of the counter, and tossed the red solo cup into the garbage. That drink had been nothing but hell for him. While following behind Arya, and Reagan, he quickly twirled around and grabbed a carton of milk from the fridge, one he hoped would help him with the headaches he'd already started developing. Fuck. Lamarcus felt a sting go through him at Reagan's mention of Lilith. He hated the fact of what'd occurred between Lilith and Arya, and in all honesty, Lilith and most of his friends. For some reason though, Lamarcus felt as if he understood Lilith on a level their classmates just wouldn't understand, but it still didn't help with the guilt it brought him keeping their relationship a secret.

At Arya's words on cheering them on though, Lamarcus quickly forced a smile. No one had to know that he'd been so deep in thought, and he crossed quickly from his guilt-ridden expression to normal. Being a gangster was helpful like that, having learned to sweet talk his way to get out of certain duties, or plead for forgiveness when he didn't do them at all. "Is that even a question? My cheerleading is A1, you have to win with me cheering you on." Lamarcus chimed, chin-flicking his friends, and acquaintances on the way to the table. He gulped at the sight of Dorian and Lilith arguing by the beer pong , and quickly diverted his eyes to another side of the room. What was he doing heading straight for a situation where he'd have to choose between his best friend, and his-- it's complicated.

It didn't take long for Devon to interrupt their beer pong game before it'd even started though, and Lamarcus let out a sigh of relief. The idea he pitched was one that definitely lit Lamarcus' eyes up. What better way to distract himself from the headache, and gain an adrenaline rush than sharing a kiss with Doveport's hottest? Count him in. He smirked on his way over to the circle forming, taking a couple sips of the Rhodes' carton of milk as he continued forwards. "I'll catch you guys soon." Lamarcus informed Arya, and Reagan, before slipping past them towards who'd caught his eye.

Lamarcus sat himself down in the spot next to Madi, and the other side of him vacant for whoever wished to seat themselves. He glanced down at Cam, Marissa, and Cisco that were seated there too, sending a wave in their directions before reeling back and leaning onto one hand behind him. His other hand allowed him to sip from his carton of milk occasionally. "Before you say it, M, I'm not a lightweight. I just-- Don't even know what I made today." He chuckled, though his eyes flickered ahead of him as he talked. Watching as the other teens settled down.

He hadn't had a chance to talk to Madelaine in spite of her being on the priority list of people he ought to chat to. Following the kind of summer they'd both had, one wherein getting "close" was an understatement, he wouldn't've expected it to take so long for them to speak. Then again, it was a secret for the time being, and so Lamarcus forced himself to shrug off the thought. "What's in your cup?"

"Alright catch you at the circle." She watched for a second as Lamarcus walks away before turning to Arya,

"Ready to go babes? This should be fun." Reagan downed the rest of her drink before making her way to the forming circle with Arya tailing just behind her.
She decided to just pick a random spot in the circle without much concern to who was opposite of her. This happened to be next to Lamarcus so she decided to leave some space between them for someone else to sit.

"Long time no see!" Reagan said jokingly to Lamarcus before focusing her attention on whoever else was sitting down. That's when she noticed Madi on the opposite side of Lamarcus. Madi's appearance made Reagan a little uneasy. It's been a while since they personally said anything to each other, and the distance between them grew further each day. At this point, Reagan felt like it was too late to try and reconcile the friendship she had with Madi. Reagan acknowledged how much she has changed since junior year since Riley's death and how many people she's pushed away because of it. But she also knows how freeing it felt to get away from that group and do whatever she wanted without worrying about judgment. She would have done it again if she had to.

As Madi was conversing with others around her, Reagan opted not to look in that direction and instead focused on the opposite side of the circle. She spots Arya as she was settled down in between Devon and Aiden, she gives Arya a little smile as more excitement started to build around spin the bottle. And as more people started to join the circle, the more warm Reagan started to feel thanks to how fast she downed her drink earlier. On top of that, this was her first time getting high. She only took a little bit from the baggie Arya had, but even that may have been too much to combine with alcohol. The feeling of the edible kicking in catches her off guard as a simultaneous feeling of looseness and sluggishness takes control of her. Trying to hide how vulnerable she was feeling, Reagan continually kept running her hand through her hair, anxiously waiting for the damn game to start.

Reagan realized that it's been a while since she thought about anyone romantically. Though spin the bottle would be the last thing to involve any actual romance. But Reagan spent the last year focusing on self-improvement and pissing off her parents that she didn't have time for anything steamy. Arya always tried to push Reagan into revealing her type, which would always be met with a joke about how she and Arya should just get married once they graduate. As for her type, she wasn't blind when she saw someone cute, but it never really got past that point, much less forming a crush. Nonetheless, Reagan still felt like she doesn't need to commit to anyone, and if something happens it'll happen but for now, she just wanted to have some fun with her friends her senior year.

As the conversation between him and Marissa came to a positive end, Cisco found himself smiling with enough relief to spare. In the back of his mind, he was worried and starting to panic that he had done or said something to make Marissa feel as though he was intentionally neglecting her. The times when they would talk every day and hang out just as much were long gone, but those days were over. Of course, Cisco couldn’t guarantee to her or even himself that it would go back to how it was in elementary and even middle school, but come hell or high water, Cisco was a young man of his word. With God as his witness (and a few others who might’ve heard their conversation), Cisco wasn’t gonna let her down again.

So, as their red solo cups clinked, the plastic-on-plastic sound filled his ears as the smooth whiskey did the same for his throat. He was gradually getting used to the taste and especially the burning aftertaste it had. For a few moments, as Cisco scanned the party area from the position on the deck he sood, he saw some familiar faces. It wasn’t long until he heard a rather familiar voice speak up just as soon as Marissa announced her and Cisco saw her.

Cam had disappeared into the manor when she, Cisco, and Marissa had arrived. With how distracted Cisco was for the majority of the party and how he almost abandoned Marissa, she was a welcoming sight to say the least. She seemed to appear out of the blue, but Cisco wasn’t so blind as to not know she was probably on the deck as well, but just elsewhere and out of view.

“Hey Cam! Hope you’ve been having fun!” Cisco offered the girl a smile. Moments after that, just about everyone who had eyes noticed the distinct gathering and how loud Devon was. Devon was someone Cisco knew very much. If Devon was around and if he was shoehorning something at a party, Cisco knew first hand that it was going to be something special. That’s just the kind of guy he was. He was Cisco’s other half when it came to crazy party antics. “If Devon’s involved, you know it’s gonna be dope.” Cisco murmured something else in Spanish and followed the girls to the gathering.

When they got there, immediately Cisco’s body was overtaken by the pure adrenaline force Madelaine Kingston had in her surprisingly tiny frame. Nevermind the fact that so many people have already gathered around a single, empty bottle of alcohol, but Cisco was already seated and he was right next to Madi and Brielle.

“I feel like I haven’t seen you in ages” Cisco heard Madi say sweetly, but also in the way he had known her to talk when they’ve gone more than a day without seeing each other.

“I’m so sorry!” Cisco wholeheartedly apologized. “It’s just been a crazy week and I had to pull out all the stops so my folks didn’t know that I’m here.” Oh Jesus Christ only knew what his parents would do to him if they ever found out where he truly was.

As she whispered to him, Cisco gave her hand a firm, comforting squeeze. “It’ll be okay! We’ll have fun and you don’t have to worry about…” Cisco’s eyes glanced over to Aiden for no more than a few seconds. Truth be told, even though he knew Aiden was a relatively decent guy and Cisco had always made sure not to hate anyone, he didn’t like Aiden simply because of the torture he put Madi through. That was reason enough for him to not like the boy. “I’m here and Cam and Mari are here as well! You’re goo--”

Cisco found himself cut off when he saw another old friend of his whom he hadn’t talked to in quite a while. “Lamarcus! Been a minute, bro!” Cisco’s greeting was overshadowed by his focus on Madi and Reagan’s arrival. So naturally, Cisco retreated into a makeshift bubble of his. “So this otta be fun!” Cisco said loud enough for anyone to hear, directing it at nobody in particular.

Rowan was seriously enjoying his newfound talent of beer pong, even loosening up a good bit after a couple cups of beer. He was just about to drink some more even without sinking a ball, rather enthralled with the feeling that this alcohol was granting his body. He could see why people did this for fun. It felt so good. Rowan never let himself feel this good. Devon had a different idea however, yanking players and bystanders from their innocent lives to play the notoriously troublesome game of spin-the-bottle.

Rowan could feel his heart thud in his chest at the mention of it. He might not have known all the rules to beer pong, but everyone knew how spin-the-bottle worked. Things were different today. Not like in the 1980's movies. What if it landed on another guy? Was he gonna look like a homophobe if he politely muttered 'hell no'? That was ridiculous. No one was gonna make him do that, obviously. Then again, no one had ever even seen him date a girl.

Despite never having gotten laid before, Rowan had kissed a girl in the past. I mean, if that counted, that is. They were in fifth grade, and she demanded to hold his hand after he saved her from getting stung by a wasp. After five minutes of hand holding, she grabbed his face like a baby grabbed jewelry and kissed him. He was stunned for the rest of the semester, and still unsure to this day if that qualified as a real 'first kiss'.

Probably not. It wasn't voluntary.

He seated himself among the group, mute and buzzing with anxiously hopeful energy as the circle formed. He down several more huge gulps of beer from the cup he was holding, really feeling tipsy now. He could use the liquid courage, after all. Not enough to forget this, though. If he started off his school year kissing a pretty girl, he'd feel like he was on top of the world. But hopefully it didn't have him falling for her instantly.. That would be a damper.

Lilith noticed out of the corner of her eye, the nerdy kid, with a name starting with an R. He was attractive, she'll give him that. Its no wonder "the bros" or whatever the fuck the high school frat boys called themselves, wanted to drag him into their group. If only he came out of his shell, got contacts and maybe a different choice of style? Anyway, he was grinning bashfully at her comment. It actually made her feel quite bad about using him as a pawn just to piss off Dorian. But alas, she had one hell of an ego. Meaning she'd never apologize to nerdy boy, or speak to him ever again. Its just how the Doveport hierarchy worked.

"You're one to talk Lilith. What kind of pong skills do you have?"
"Don't keep the boys waiting."
Ugh god, just shut up Noah. Does Noah honestly know what he's getting himself into? Probably not, and he'll regret it. And of course Dorian had something to say. Not surprising. Good thing she had an outstanding poker face, "Come on now, Lilith. We both know I have skills in better games than beer pong. Games we played... Right here as a matter of fact." Okay, maybe not an outstanding poker face. It took her by surprise, however Lilith knew better than to just assume Dorian would've held back. He probably knew that would get under her skin too. Dorian and Lilith know almost everything about each other. Meaning they could use that information for better or for worse. Guess Dorian chose worse. Maybe in another life her and Dorian would've stayed together, and in this life she absolutely fucked that chance. Not to mention that Lilith still absolutely loves Dorian, but also despises him with a passion since their breakup.

Lilith had been silent for a moment. Her cheeks felt like they were burning red and prayed to God that it wasn't noticeable, but God (or whatever the hell was up there) never had her best interest at heart. She took a deep breath and recouped. Fluttering her eyelashes, Lilith looked up to Dorian slowly. Her eyes shooting bullets into his, "Well, thank the heavens that our housekeeper did everything in her power to sanitize this table, and everything else in this house. Had to get your obnoxious Axe Body Spray to go away. Remember that phase you had? Overusing Axe body spray until you were basically the product itself." She replied in a calm demeanor mixed with passive-aggressiveness.

"He's right. If you're gonna diss someone else then put your money where your mouth is. We can always make a friendly wager," Lilith scoffed and rose a sharp brow, "First off, agreeing with Noah is the equivalent to agreeing that there's no problem with your dog shitting the carpet." Lilith glanced over to Noah and shrugged, "No offense, mop head. Just stating facts." She then placed her icy stare towards Dorian once again, "Whats this friendly wager anyway? Knowing you, this is probably another one of your whore-ish ways to get your 3 inch dick wet."

As Dorian persisted, Aiden stepped in and agreed with the boys. She was going to take up this challenge anyway, but Aiden having a say in it made her heart race, plus his casual gesture, "Fine," Lilith snatched the ball out of Noah's grip, "May the odds be ever in your favor." She casually pushed Noah aside and took his place at the table.

Lilith rolled her eyes as Devon announced a spin the bottle game. She wasn't desperate to get a tongue down her throat by some wasted teen. Guess Aiden seemed into it for whatever reason, "Maybe later, then." He said with a grin to her. Lilith was genuinely disappointed about his departure, but kept her cool, "Right, later." She smiled towards him. Yes, a genuine smile. She kept her eyes on him for a moment and turned back around towards the beer pong game, "Now, lets get this game started."

Lilith took a tiny step back, she carefully eyed the set up of red solo cups in front of Dorian. Calm and focused, Lilith tossed the ball to the center of the table, shooting up and landing into the plastic cup. Lilith smirked and casually flipped her hair, "So what was the deal you were proposing, Dorian?"

Devon grinned at the circle of people he'd manage to collect. No matter how much Doveport wanted to pretend they were above things like this, he knew that all of them were suckers for some good old fashioned drama.

He swayed to the music where he sat, rubbing shoulders ever so often with Brielle who he blinked lazily at in contentment. It was hard to tell if he was moving to the beat or just to keep himself grounded in the moment. The bright flush of alcohol had overtaken his cheeks since he sat down.

"Okay, okay," he called out. "Spin it, kiss 'em, y'know how it goes! Three seconds minimum on the mouth, fellas, this isn't middle school."

Devon laughed. There were definitely some people here who'd try and loophole themselves out, but he'd let everyone else heckle them into committing to the rules of the game.

"None of that round the circle shit, kissee spins! I'm choosing first kisser because y'all wouldn't be here without me-" he paused for dramatic emphasis "-Rowan! Bro! Time to shine, buckaroo!"

Devon lost the momentary air of authority and slouched fully into Brielle's side, cheek smushed up against her shoulder.

Rowan's upper lip rested on the edge of his cup, apprehensively listening to Devon flesh out the basic rules for the game. He zoned out intensely into the cotton white fabric of the tipsy asian's shirt, completely unexpecting to hear his name. The clang of the glass bottle against the hard floor and the eyes snapping toward him suddenly had him leaping out of his skin. His glinting amber eyes revealed his anxiety, so a half smile worked its way into his features to mask it.

"Right... This is because I'm better than you at beer pong, isn't it?" Reed teased shyly, a laugh barely gurgling from his throat as his muscles tightened. Despite all of the alcohol in his system, he still knew that this was no small deal for him. Rowan did his darndest to evade giving all the girls in the circle a once over, not wanting to look like a dickhead that was surveying possible options. In fact, he was almost afraid to see who was here. He only remembered a couple faces.

His hand rested on the glass bottle, heart hammering as he nibbled at the skin of his cheek. "Geez.." He sighed heavily, knowing that he was taking far longer than any other guy would have. Don't treat it like a big deal. Don't treat it like a big deal.

Sure enough, it spun. And spun, and spun, and then spun some more. When would it stop? It slowed after a century, stalling just in front of Arya. His eyes practically bulged from his head as his gaze traveled up to her face, wondering if she would just laugh now and forfeit the game all together. She picked on him all the time, with the generous help of Cain. They were always messing with him. Rowan was certain she'd be disgusted.

Instead, a look in her eye sparked to life, and he stopped breathing. She neared him from across the circle, seductive and determined. He swallowed hard, inching his head back a bit. Was she serious? Her hands trailed up the length of his arms, sending shockwaves of chills through his skinny body. Breath wasn't entering his lungs fast enough. And when she leaned in to his him, her hand snaked around the back of his head to hold him steady, he couldn't believe it.

They stayed there like a god damned couple for more than three seconds before she backed off, suddenly returning right back to her normal status. Was that... Another joke? Another tease? A way to mess with him? The game continued, but he stared on.
