Yeah, there are people who aren't family members, though can be considered close. (Boyfriend, Nana, etc). I'm playing a tutor so he's basically unrelated for the most part in the beginning. As of current I'd be playing more of a side supportive role, in Yoshi's narrative anyway. My character will naturally have a life outside and I'll subtly hint it along the course of interaction with the Toyama household.
