Idea: This is similar to the story of Earth 928, the future that Spider-Man 2099 takes place in. There are some who are legacy of heroes and villains of the past. There are those who are just simply inspired by those of the past. There are just as many who can be considered unprecedented and original.
Plot: The previous Age of Heroes during the 21st Century ended in Civil War between two sides that seemed to take the opposite stance on every issue be it mutants, superhero registration act, the infinity stones....literally everything. In the end, it all stopped when neither side could continue fighting. The Earth moved on rebuilding and proceeding with their society into the 22nd Century. There hasn't be a real Age of Heroes since the first half of the 21st Century. However, there does seemed to be once again a need for heroes as even in this futuristic world that ought to remember the lessons of the past. They can only hope they don't repeat it.
It all starts in the New York City of the 2100s with a resurgence of old and deadly foe unseen in America in decades, the Hand. The cult of ninja who worship the being known as the Beast and in the past was an enemy of the Defenders, X Men, Chaste, Big Hero Six, and Avengers.
