Lofi noticed the new arrival, but was almost done with her breakfast. Plus, it seemed the little red one was already engaged in conversation. She kept their conversation in the back of her head as she lifted her plate and polished off the rest of her ridiculously sized meal, polishing it until there was not a single indicator of the food which once towered upon it. After her meal was done was she finally able to focus on the conversation occurring beside her. She couldn't just butt in, that would be impolite. Besides, it seemed the little red one was in the midst of answering the new guy.
It was only then that Lofi took the time to sniff in his direction, and though he was seated far enough away for her sense of smell to be a bit off, she knew that smell anywhere. Fishy people have that scent, though it wasn't much different from regular scent. Lofi had always wondered if water people tasted much different from regular people due to their fish nature, but she had never gotten the chance to sample either. She only barely got the shapeshifter in her gob before she'd had to release him, and good girls weren't supposed to eat people, so her curiosity remained unanswered.
But before she could focus on that, something little red said garnered her attention. Lofi blinked, several smaller eyes popping open in rather unusual areas as she grew a bit confused. Had she misheard her table mate, because it almost sounded like she claimed that the fishy people didn't exist? Lofi was sure that they did, wasn't the new boy a fishy? She wasn't really known for being a grand scholar, but she was pretty confident about this.
"FiSh PeOpLe... ReAlLy ReAl...YeS" she said once Red had finished speaking, pausing momentarily to string together her next words "m-mEr...YeS...mErFoLk ReAl...LoFi SuRe."
She raised one of her twisted limbs and pointed in the direction of the boy Red was speaking to "FiSh-MeR? lOfI sMeLl FiShMeR...tHaT yOu?"
