Moltres

As Celebi's hand drew closer, he'd feel just a gentle warmth coming from the flames. It was nothing close to the usual searing heat that would be felt so close to flames. Not even touching it seemed to burn the grass type should he draw close enough to do so. Outside of a comforting warmth, the actual feeling of touching fire without being harmed would be hard to describe. Even Moltres would struggle to describe the feeling of flames.

"Well, you haven't taken off running yet." Moltres said with a soft chuckle, "Guess that means it is safe for you to touch." That, or Celebi was really good at hiding pain. Which . . . Moltres rather doubted if he were being honest. While this little visit was for from expected, the fire deity would be lying if he said it was unpleasant. Despite them being complete opposites type wise, the two had always gotten along rather well.

A nice surprise to brighten the day and take his mind off the upcoming war.

Kali, eventually realizing no one was going to fetch her food, made up her mind. "Well, Tsunami, I would say that it has been a delight chatting with you, but that would be a lie. So, now I am going to eat, hopefully not hurt anyone simply because it will bring me joy, and then go home. Have a terrific evening with your creepy old self." With that, she hoisted herself out of her seat, and made her way to the buffet, grumbling the whole time about how disrespectful some young people were. Of course, she wasn't that old, and she was always making a point of how strong and self sufficient she was, so it was her own fault.

She rolled her eyes as Xerneas talking to those chattery sisters- how had the goddess not told them to simper off? Their high pitched nattering was giving Kali a migraine. She had never been to fond of any of those hyper Eevee types- she had once known a pretty wise Espeon, but these girls where nothing like her old friend. They were more annoying than the Magikarp, even. Of course, as she stepped into the room with all the food, there was the fish in question, chattering with that serene-looking Gardevoir and Shuck. She wasn't setting foot near that.

She quickly grabbed herself a plate piled high with spiced vegetables and rice, and a few pieces of lemon pie. She had never been one for anything overly sweet, but the CBC always had at least something to suit her odd palette. She filled the rest of her plate with a variety of chili peppers. She would need the extra spice.

She then scampered out of the room before anyone noticed her. She wasn't going to make those new kids all jaded and bitter their first day. Even she wasn't that mean. Now, to find someone to bother....

Of course! Who better than her best friend, Pietra. She slid up beside the tall pokemon, a sly grin on her face.
"Pietra! How are you? Where's Skittles at? I thought you kept your little girlfriend on a short leash- can it be that she's run away? Oh, no! If you need help putting up Missing Nonemon pictures, I'm free tomorrow."

She liked to goad Pietra, and little jabs at Skittles tended to do that for her. She wanted to see how Pietra would smile off her little back-handed comment. That smiling giant couldn't stand resolute forever- something would tick her off one day, and Kali was going to be the person who found that something.

Feraligatr Feraligatr walked into the hall slowly, late. The very tall, large Nomemon had been training harshly for a while, he wasn't slowing down anytime soon, not even for newbies. Sure, he might give them pointers here and there, but they didn't interest him very much. The food did, though.

Grabbing a plate, grudgingly, he piled it high with noodles and spicy peppers. Eating as he walked, he picked a seat at random. He sat down hard, with a thump, gazing slowly upon the crowd feasting at the moment. Thankfully, he had missed the speech. In all honesty, Gate wasn't really one for speeches, just a quick pep talk. Munching on the food in delight, a smile grew on his face as he spotted a Magikarp.

Though most would rather pick on Magikarps, Gate knew better. Having befriended one before, he knew what they evolved into: A Gyrados, and those aren't the Nomemon to pick on. Turning his attention back to his meal, he hummed softly to himself without any melody, just random notes with no rhythm, either.

Shuck

"Gentile?" Shuck echoed. "I don't think that's the right word. But don't worry I'm always very good with handling my friends."

The Gardevoir seemed like a typical newcomer; all nerves, politeness and walking on eggshells. He'd always had trouble with toning down his activities around the green recruits. Still she wasn't as lovely as Aindama, she definitely had first place out of this years greenhorns. Noting Ginette's false smile he grinned disarmingly.

"No need to be scared I'm really not a biter. If I can be of service in any way just ask."

Koi meanwhile was a whirlwind of energy and had no filter whatsoever, if there were any eggshells to walk on the Magikarp had already steamrolled them.

"Usually we leave the desserts for last or is that too mainstream for your liking?" Koi's confident front was visually impressive at first glance but it didn't stand up to close scrutiny very well, anyone could knock it down with a few cruel words let alone needing Kali to do it.

"Don't let me stop you from diving in, try the brownies too while you're at it."

Pietra took a deep breath and took a long bite of her food. It was delicious. And Kali was here. Lovely. She regarded the seviper as she sauntered over to her table. Kali was going to do everything she could to get under her skin. She sighed. Looks like it wasn't going to be a peaceful meal after all. "I wouldn't want to take time out of what is surely a very busy day." Pietra said calmly, "And Skittles just off being friendly I'm sure." She looked off into the distance, lost in thought for a moment.

"I'd ask where your friends are, but I already know exactly where they are," She said leaning back a little, "Maybe if you spent a little less time on that slinky thing you call a dress and more on being nice, I could ask you properly." Of course, it would be no fun if she didn't fire back every once in a while. Or, you know, every time.

Gate was chowing down on his meal, it was his only priority for the moment. Eating, if possible, was his number one hobby. He merely registered the others' presences when he glanced around. The Arcanine was no exception. That is, until she insulted his tune. With a slow, deep laugh, Gate turned to face Ain.

"Can't I hum? It's just random notes, it's not murder."

Gate wasn't one to abuse weaknesses outside of battle. That was why he didn't threaten to douse her immediately for her rudeness. Looking closely, he grunted. Instinctive, not a very good trait in social situations, most of the time. Opening his great mouth in a huge, gaping yawn, Gate stretched and snapped his jaws shut again. He shifted in his seat a little and continued to eat, snapping up the rest of his food in one big bite. It wasn't to show off or threaten her, only to remind her of what he could do to urge a more careful attitude.

Yew

Yew grumpily surveyed the ground speeding by below. He had only diverted his attention from Mew for a moment but she had somehow seemed to vanish into the ether, he couldn't even feel her mind anymore.

Blast it mother you had to skive off now of all times...

He thought it quite likely that she would miss the end of the world again while dozing on a beach somewhere.

Fine I'll do this without you, it's not like you helped me when the humans were still around.

As he continued to fly across the land his roving mental sense found two minds that seemed to belong to other legendaries, changing course sharply he dropped down in front of the strange building. Taking a look at the design he identified it as Moltres' shrine.

W
alking inside he put on a confident front as he casually greeted the surprised attendants but he froze and stared dumbly when he saw Moltres standing with Celebi's hand in his hair.

"S-should I come back later? When you're finished that is...with whatever it is you two are doing together."

Celebi: At Moltres's shrine

proxy.php

Celebi hadn't actually been expecting Moltres's hair to be safe to touch, so being able to put his hand on the Fire God's flaming hair came as a surprise to him. A laugh came from the God as he rolled the fire around in his hand for a moment- it was like he had just microwaved a Rice bag to warm his hands only... with considerably less rice, and much nicer to touch. The fact that he could actually touch it amazed him, "This is... Really neat, Moltres."

He looked up when the presence of another person tugged at the Psychic part of his mind, his blue eyes landing on the familiar face of another God- Mew two or, as he preferred yo be called, Yew. The other Psychic God looked extremely surprised, "Oh, Yew! It's been a while! Or... Has it? I might have decided to pay your shrine a visit recently, in your perspective. From mine, though, it has been a while. Look, Moltres's hair is safe to touch."

Sometimes, Celebi could be kind of dense.

Moltres

A slight smile crossed Moltres' lips as he watched the amazed Celebi play with the flames that made up some of his hair. The time traveling god seemed completely enthralled by the whole thing. Though he was a grass type primarily, guess it made sense for this to be so amazing to him. Ah . . . but should Moltres tell him the truth? He was a god of fire, of course he could will fire not to harm someone should he so desire.

. . .

Nah, let Celebi have his moment.

At Yew's dumbfounded stammering, the deity actually felt his face grow warm in a blush. Well this was a bit of an awkward thing to walk into. How to even begin explaining such a sight? "It's . . . ah, it's kind of a long story." Clearing his throat, Moltres took a moment to recollect his thoughts. "Anyway, come on in, have a seat. Tea should be done shortly."

Assuming Braixen didn't spill it again.

"...It appears everything has calmed down some. I can now make my appearance known." he spoke softly to himself, he had been waiting for quite awhile to have his chance to speak to his most glorious goddess, though it would have been rude to interrupt those three before him. She seemed atleast now slightly less busy... but her health... goodness... She should not be out of bed with that air of weakness about her!

No no no! That wouldn't do at all!

She must eat, then to bed, with medicine as well! Or... did medicine work on a goddess? In truth.. he had not an answer to give in such regard, for he was not a medical professional... but he was a professional on gods, well, one in particular mind you.

Regardless, he had to go greet his wayward patron.

Floating over to the three wasn't to hard, though his heart... or at least what would be his heart, was quite restless. He had spoken to the woman before but. not in such dire straits. Not to mentioned the fabled jirachi was with her, along with a rather... grouchy looking... yet... fluffy tailed man as well. was this man her current caretaker? He certainly looked the part, he must be certain to give respect where it is due to this individual.

Not because he is one of the few beings in the world that can hurt him of course!

Dappi came towards the three and gave a long deep bow to them, a good postured bow before he began to speak to the three. "My most illustrious goddess, I have finally found you once again. Truly I am honored to even have the chance to meet you once more. I hail from the Shrine of Laverre, where you had once been so kind to take me in. I come to return your most gracious kindness to serve you in any way I can." he spoke fluidly and without pause for he did not want to waste his goddess' time.

"Your most humble servant Dappi, awaits your beck and call." The man bowed deeply once again, respectful in ever sense, he stood before two gods after all.

Koi grinned at this. Sure, he already had his dinner to begin with, but the idea that Shuck would've let him eat dessert BEFORE dinner was awesome! His parents always cried about him not eating properly or staying up too late, but now that he was here, he could stay up and eat as much as he wanted to! He felt like a real adult! He would've gladly grabbed a plate and started to dig in...but he was full. He was in such a bad mood, he completely forgot that he'd eaten already. Guess there WAS a downside to highspirits.

"Er...Nah. I'm not hungry." He said, patting his belly with a big smile. He stretched and kicked his foot against the floor before looking at anywhere but Shuck and Ginette. "Think I'm just gonna chill here. St-Strong magikarps like me need some peace and quiet, ya know?" To be honest, he just didn't feel like going back out there. All everyone was talking about was Xerneas this and Xerneas that, and Koi didn't feel like hearing it one bit. She was nice. A bit weird, but nice. But that didn't mean Koi was going to follow her around like a puppy and chat her up. That was Kurama's job. Plus, he didn't feel like hearing another lecture about him having to learn to show respect or whatever.

Aeron walked into the dining hall. Late, or as he preferred to label it, fashionably late. He had always learned that only those desperate to impress showed up on time to events. Plus, if you acted like you didn't need to impress anyone, you were more likely to be seen as important and self-reliant. As such, he always made it a point to be perfectly late to social events- such as this one.

He had also neglected to greet the newcomers this morning. It was more his style to allow them to be awed by his sheer impressive aura in situations like this. He nodded in the vague direction of Lady Xerneas and her current horde of worshippers- he would pay his respects to the Lady later. He heard a lot of chatter from the buffet room. Sounded like a child, a lady, and.. Shuck. Yeah, that was not happening.

He didn't dislike Shuck, but the two weren't exactly friends. So, Aeron steered himself in another direction. He saw a fellow water type, Gate, looking like he might snap at some shy looking Arcanine over something stupid.

A perfect chance for a dashing nobleman such as himself to slide in.

"Gate, Gate, Gate." He scolded in his most bombastic voice. "What a way to speak to a lady- and such a fine looking one at that. Be careful, my friend. You might scare her off."

He then smiled at Aindama.
"Don't worry, dear. He doesn't bite. I won't let him." That was impressive, right? Defending her from a snappish Feraligatr like that?

Feraligatr Gate looked up at Aeron when he approached and raised an eyebrow quizzically. As he said that he didn't bite, his tail lashed back and forth, destroying the chair he was sitting on. Gate stood up to his massive height and opened his great jaws to the ceiling, roaring with might. The sheer volume of it caused it to echo throughout the rest of the halls apart from the dining hall.

"I don't bite, you say? I do believe I bite, and often at that. Just because Xerneas is here, that doesn't mean I won't
bite. I wasn't even doing anything, nor was I going to do anything. This girl just insulted my humming! You know how I am with musical talent being unfairly criticized..."

With a humph, Gate sat back down on another chair nearby, crossing his arms. His weight crashing down onto the chair was enough to make it creak and sag for a moment. He rested his chin on his hand and leaned on the table. Using his claws, he tapped little holes in the table. If one looked closely, there were holes like these in almost every table the group owned, all made by yours truly.

Lucario There was nothing, only inky black. Luc had been meditating for a long while now, longer than most sessions. He always did this before a big social event, it calmed him. That was his plan, to imbue a calm aura into the new members by having one himself. He stood up and brushed the grass off of his legs before taking the walk to the dining hall.

Upon arrival, Luc sensed the Nomemons' emotions. A huge mixture that he had a difficult time discerning. He saw Gate, his friend, and chuckled when he roared. The Feraligatr tended to do that when he was frustrated. Sighing, he strolled serenely over to the food, grinning with delight. The only problem was that he was fasting. It helped him train himself to have more self-discipline. Passing the food and returning once more to the seating area, a Magikarp caught his eye. Luc eagerly rushed to sit down next to him and nod his hello.

"Greetings, I'm Lucario. Call me Luc."

Ginette swallowed, a barely noticable pulse of her throat the only change in her demeanor. He was soothing her, or all things. What an interesting one Shuck was. But she didn't need his condescension- he wouldn't be any real trouble to her? "Oh- I meant no offense. Forgive my apprehension- I have yet to understand which members of this organization are straight-laced, and which ones are more.." There was some kind of crash and bang from the main hall (of a Feraligatr elsewhere) and Ginette's face twisted slightly. "Unconventional." She then gave a more pleasant smile than earlier, before his comments on desserts.

She held back a giggle as Koi's reaction- not hungry? "Well, I know I prefer savoury meals before I partake in dessert, so I might venture for one of this delightful looking sandwiches. I will make a point to sample the funnel cake for dessert later, however- and a brownie as well." She smiled at Koi, before picking up a plate and taking a small sampling of food. Her plate was quickly filled with simple fare, mostly salad ingredients, and a few fresh cheeses.

When she made a move to return to the table, there was a stranger there, in a dark blue suit. He seemed to be speaking to Koi. She tried to sense some kind of mood off of him, but her untrained senses came up with nothing- it was an odd sensation. He sat with a certain elegance that was rather jarring to her- he seemed almost stiff. And he was rather handsome. She hadn't ever really found anyone handsome before.

She just had to go over there and talk to him, right? He was with the very people she had just been chatting with, it wouldn't be too hard. Today was for meeting people, right?

She took a seat silently next to Koi, and ate her food in silence, giving a small nod to the newly arrived Lucario.

The very picture of social grace, Ginette She sarcastically remarked to herself.

Xerneas

Xerneas blinked at the sudden appearance in front of her. He seemed so familiar, there was no doubting he was one of the Nomemon tending to the various shrine in the world. His clothing alone gave that away. The goddess silently cursed her inability to remember Dappi's name as he reintroduced himself. There was no excuse for her being unable to recall one of her own shrine keepers.

"Oh!" Jirachi floated up from her seat, circling Dappi as she studied him with wide, excited eyes. "It's been a long time since I've seen a Shedinja!"

Xerneas reached out, gently brushing a few strands of hair from the Shrine Keeper's eyes. "Dappi," She smiled warmly at him, "It's good to see you again." A loud roar break the rather serene mood that had set in. It seemed one of the recruits had set off Gate's . . . admittedly short fuse. Kurama may have been a notorious old grouch, but at least he had the sense to not go around beating his chest and destroying CBC property . . . How Lady Xerneas had the patience for all of them he'd never know.

Kip

Kip look at the city of two times. Half of Opelucid City was stone buildings with ancient an assortment of ancient designs that offer records of our past, the other a buzzing city packed with greatest and brightest of technology to help the world's future. Kip grew fond of this ancient part of city, quiet, and filled with the old or the quiet. There was defninetly foot room and space let you enjoy the atmosphere. Truthfully, Kip didn't really care about the city itself and it's history, the real joy will be reaching Arceus's shrine at center of all this. Kip envisioned the shrine empty, as many Nomemon understandably didn't want to be near the one would destroy the world, he imagined it intimate.

Kip's tan cloak stopped at doors to the minimalist but grand doors of Arceus. The shrine had a metal ring implanted into the ground that had an array of white lights that circled the main stone building. The building itself had dozens of dragons sculpeted into the base, all trying to reach the roof of the round building, there a sculpture of an orb with Arceus-esque rings around it. The doors were solid stone as well and only had a slight opening to allow visitors, with the building's height plenty of room. Kip walked into the shrine and into the sight of an overwhelming statue of Arceus looking down.

Kip breathed in deeply and put the on the hood of his cloak. Kip took out a letter from his pocket and waved it to the statue.

"Hi, please call me Kip. This told me that I could come here and beg for your, and that I'll have to be patient."

Kip kneels.

"I'm cool with waiting here. I'm cool with what you wanna do...I want to be your friend. Not in condescending way, because of the hate your probably getting from Nomemons, I just trust you. I want to just connect with you...."

Kip begins to choke and his hood falls down.

"Need you as friend."

...

"Please."

Arceus

A slow sigh escaped Arceus' lips, it was about time to go speak with Dialga and Palkia. Though it would be less of a meeting and more trying to keep Dialga from starting a fight with her sister . . . Honestly the goddess of time could be such a handful. Before he could step through one of the various portals, he felt a faint tug at the back of his mind. A Nomemon was at his shrine and . . . praying to him? This warranted further investigation given most Nomemon scorned him and his shrine left all but abandoned. He floated back to the polished white throne in his realm and carefully sat down.

Back at the shrine, Kip would feel as though he was floating. Strange lights swirled around him before eventually blocking his vision entirely. As he was set down and his vision cleared, he would find himself no longer kneeling within the shrine.

In front of him sat Arceus himself, the Father of the Gods. Red eyes studied the young Nomemon closely, why would a child call on him seeking friendship of all things? He tilted his head slightly, "Kip, was it not?" While his voice may have been low, it still commanded the respect a god deserves. "Tell me, child, why did you pray to me? Why, when all other Nomemon curse my very name?"

Kip

Kip closed his eyes. He felt light. He felt air. He opened his eyes to sight of him floating away from the shrine with dazzling lights flashing by. His heart raced, and he had a genuine smile. It had been a year since Kip's last smile. This was something extraordinary. Kip's body stayed kneeling as the wind pushed up his cloak. Kip held his hood over his head as he kept his head down to watch his ascent. Then, it all disappeared to white. Kip looked up a bit rattled. He could only see white as he stood.

A few minutes, his vision came to him. He gazed at Arceus and the thrown. His thrown seemed very minimalist too, gold and cubic. IT was grand and white, just as Nomemon said it would be like. Arceus in person didn't sseem as condescending as the statue made the him to be. He didn't seem to vicious as people described him to be. He seemed like the epitome of a fair ruler, solemn.

Kip listened to Arceu's questions and thought deeply for a few minutes.

"Collective thought should statistically bring about the correct understanding. Those with power have understood collective thinking. I want to understand better, so I need a friend with power. Not in the greedy way or a slave way, I want to be your friend, as a friend I want to help you out with what you want to do. "

Dappi, Pilgrim no longer.

"My illustrious goddess... I am honored that you remembered me." the priest seemed to be overcome with joy, until he nearly jumped out of his skin from the roar of the Feraligator not to far off... though he seemed to have calmed down just as suddenly as his temper rose. "Goodness... ehm." he cleared his worries to regard jirachi. "Indeed, my kind are few and far between. If not due to the fact we are elusive, we are also rare enough to occur." he explained his birth as occurring, much like if it was some form of mistake.

"It is an utmost pleasure to meet you, and I would be most joyous if you would allow me to serve you once again my most illustrious goddess. With your health as it is... many are worried... While I do not doubt the skills of your companions, the temple thought it would be best to send someone from your shrine to join you. I brought a few gifts the frequent goers of the shrine sent with me." he remembered the gifts as he spoke to his goddess.

Sure they hadn't crossed his mind until now, but hey, still came up at the right time.

"From Miss Oddy(Oddish) and her two boys Villy and Plum(Vileplume) they sent these local energy roots. Miss oddy also told me to say "While extra bitter this season, they are might potent."" the man began to rummage again through his large satchel. "And from Mr Venomo(Venomoth) he sent this, might I say, wonderful silk kimono. In truth it was hard to keep it so clean on such a journey I took to get here, but I managed to keep it safe all the way." he seemed quite proud of himself for that. "And finally, from the young students of Flowerbridge, they sent this."

Producing from his bag a folded up piece of poster board he unfolded it to reveal the children's drawings, various hand prints, wishes to get well and even little doodles of them standing around Xerneas. "In truth, this was their idea entirely, I doubt even their teacher knew of it. Such sweet little things." he chuckled once again, ready to hand over the picture to the woman.

"As I see you are eating dinner, I can hold onto the Kimono for now, the roots must be properly ground up of course. However, if you wish to see the drawing, I trust it wont be to obstructive." he gave a small bow before looking at the other Nomemon present, a ninetails... Silently he gave the man a short bow to show proper respect.

Koi slumped, bored out of his stinkin' mind. Once the actual 'Dinner' part of the dinner party was done, it was just a party. Koi had been to A BUNCH of parties! Sure, they were his birthday parties...and no one but his family came...but he still went to parties! But this party was starting to become a little too boring. Koi sighed and played with a fork, yet his eye widened when he saw someone sit next to him. Lucario? Huh. Koi gave the guy a grin.

"Name's Koi!" The magikarp introduced. His eyes widened as someone else sat next to him, causing him to turn to see it was actually Ginette. He grinned and waved before he turned back to luc. "So, uh...party's getting kinda boring, eh?"

@Quillicious

Lucario Luc smiled reassuringly at the Gardevoir as she took a seat near Koi, he could understand the daunting feelings one experiences when newly recruited. As Koi introduced himself, he nodded his head politely. The young Nomemon carried a childish air, and it was further confirmed as he called this gathering a 'party'. Luc's ears twitched in amusement at the remark and raised his eyebrows, his tail swishing from side to side in slow, rhythmic movements. With a breath, he folded his hands neatly into his lap, straightening up, if it was even possible.

"This isn't party, I'm afraid. It's more of a formal introduction into the group. Although it's a celebration, and it's most definitely suppossed to be a fun occassion, it isn't a party, really. More of a welcoming banquet. We eat, introduce ourselves, and so on. Xerneas will assign you soon enough, so you'll be occupied."

"It has been some time, to you as well Celebi, I was under the impression that one could be enveloped entirely by your fire and not be harmed Moltres, though if that is inaccurate of you yourself are unsure I would ask you test the theory on someone else."

Settling down a little he spoke again.

"Should we attend Arceus' meeting together? Mew has flown off somewhere she's probably gotten lost in the Ransei region or something." He glanced at Celebi and smiled a little.

"Though I suppose you could skive off to 20 years ago without any trouble, or would Dialga get annoyed at your procrastination?

Arceus

Arceus blinked at the young Nomemon's response. So he wanted a better understanding of the world? That and befriend the gods themselves . . . How peculiar, this one. "You say you wish to befriend me and aid me in the trials to come. Tell me young one, why is that? Surely it isn't just for a better understanding of the world around you."

Holding up his hand, images seemed to dance across the god's palm. "You aren't the first one to approach me in such a manner, though it has been some time since the last. All of them held some underlying motive to their actions and words." Kip could pick out the various Nomemon that would appear for a moment in Arceus' hand. Though there were creatures he'd never seen before. "So what is your reason? To survive into the next world? Perhaps raise above your station to that of the gods?"
