Name - Mai Peters

Bio (before and after the disasters) - Mai is of American/Chinese descent, she was born in Dodge City by her Chinese mom and American dad who when they divorced, left her with her grandmother. She only left for a few years to get a degree in English literature but came back when her grandmother got sick. When her grandmother passed away, she continued to live in Dodge City to rebuild the house and sell it, with still no word from either parent. She taught English at the high school before the moon moved closer to Earth and since then she's been in her house with the traveler, Marcus, simply surviving and preparing as the early winter season approaches.
Personality - Mai is kind and caring, and will do everything in her power to make sure those around her are well taken care of and happy. She's strong willed and very smart and due to her love for reading she has a good idea on how to survive the post-apocalyptic world with her knowledge of nature, scavenging, and trapping.
Family and Friends (friends to be discussed privately) - Her grandmother who passed before the disasters, Marcus Johnson. Open to romantic interest.
Other (can contain body mods, supplies, home, etc.) - She has the Chinese symbol for family on the back of her neck behind her hair and a bee tattoo on her foot. Her home is well stocked thanks to her grandmothers hoarding and forgetful mind, and the home has a fire place to keep warm for the coming cold.

Bio (before and after the disasters) - Marcus was a free spirit, travelling in his van across the states to escape the fate of college, settling down, and starting his life. He ended up in Dodge City because of the bull attraction but didn't get the chance to move on before all the disasters happened. The idea of going on to find another safe haven plays in his mind every day, but as the cold gets colder, he knows he won't get far before his resources diminish and he's stranded in the middle of nowhere in an iced over world. So, he accepted the help of former English teacher, Mai and now lives with her in her house, fixing anything that needs to be fixed and helping her prepare for the winter season.
Personality - He's a very laid back young guy who just wants to be free. But because of the disaster's he's unable to be completely himself without putting himself in danger. So now, he's hard working and determined to help the woman, who he considers the sister he never had, rebuild her home and make it ready and warm for what is to come. Whether that be covering up the windows to be cold proof, or chopping endless amounts of wood.
Family and Friends (friends to be discussed privately) - No other family. Mai Peters whom he lives with currently. Not open for romantic interest (he's not the type to settle down)
Other (can contain body mods, supplies, home, etc.) - His skin is clean besides lots of freckles. All his supplies are what's available to him through Mai. He lived in his van that is now parked in her driveway and plans to sleep there until the cold is unbearable.

Name: Doctor "Doc" Ian Paltrow

Lanky and thin, He can impose a noticeable presence in a room with his tall stature alone. He makes it a point to wear a labcoat at all times so it is easier to explain he used to be a doctor.

Bio: Shortly before the end, Ian was a respected and reputable Coroner with the Kansas State Police Department. Short and to the point, he has spearheaded many forensic investigations, and is responsible for many dangerous criminals being caught.
After the big collapse, he had a far less glamorous career. He wound up being a back alley doctor for a dangerous gang, the only reason he is alive today is due to his medical expertise, which is a well sought after talent for naturally violent people. He got away from the gang he was a resident doctor for using his former police connections, which sadly led to the death of both parties.

Personality: He is neither patient or gentle in a conversation, he has no time for people who have nothing to offer him unless there are exceptional circumstances. At heart? He's just locked up so no one can see he is still in mourning of his daughter. He was a family man, and that is his only soft spot...Children. He will never let a child be harmed as long as he can help it.

Family and Friends: Most of his known relatives in the neighbourhood snuffed it during the collapse, including his young daughter, Amelie. He has a Sister living with him called Rachel, whom he has a poor relationship with.

Other: He has enough medical equipment and scientific hardware to treat minor-serious injuries. He has a cane due to past injuries from the earthquakes. He secretly keeps a Glock 18 loaded in his jacket at all times in case a old gang member recognises him. He has little in terms of food but has the know-how to purify water.​

Name: Ivan Kozlov
Age: 24

Appearance:
Dischevelled and worn, Ivan has seen it all and his clothes reflect that. Old blood stains cover his jeans and patches cover old bullet holes in his jacket, which probably wasn't his until recently. A mad glint lingers in his eye from time he spent in prison. He is stocky yet short and built for fighting. With enough scars to prove he's adept at it too.

Bio: Before the moon fell from the sky, Ivan was a prison inmate in Colorado state penitentiary for Murder and Arson. This was his daily life until the volcanic activity shook his cell from the foundation and he fled into the countryside. After escaping into the madness that was Armageddon, Ivan joined up with a roaming band of very terrible people to survive. He killed, stole and did whatever he felt neccecary as he traveled south across the American territories. He and his band of monsters eventually picked up, or rather kidnapped Doctor Ian Paltrow, which led to him bringing a sizable posse of Ex-Texas Rangers and Police officers down on Ivan's gang. Only Ivan escaped alive and has been tracking the Doc since in order to extract vengance. Personality: He is hardy and seems of good state of mind, which makes him more terrifying to those who know his true nature, a brutal murderer with no qualms about killing whoever needs to be killed in order to get his way. Two-faced and an excellent liar, Ivan can easily pit people against each other to gain an advantage.

Family and Friends: To Ivan, friends are tools and can be exchanged as easily as one too. He has no relatives in the State of Kansas or in the States in General.

Other: He has many prison tattoos scattered on his body, He tries to keep most of them hidden, except an barbed wire ink around his neck. He has a Remington pump action shotgun with the barrel and stock sawn down. In his duffel bag is enough food and water to last him until he robs or kills again. He sleeps rough wherever, and has never stayed in the same place twice as a habit from the early days when he was still being hunted by the law. When he's not robbing or killing people, he works odd jobs to cool down and reduce suspicion. This can be anything from delivery jobs to barricade construction. He's a handy man to have around.​

Bio: Rachel was a Track and field star in her community college in her early twenties, after dropping out she drifted across the States taking barista and bartender jobs where she could. She eventually came home to Kansas when Her and her Brother's Grandmother fell gravely ill around a month before the collapse. She didn't get on well with her Brother Ian due to her lifestyle choices and her inconsistent commitment issues.
After the collapse she stayed hidden in Ian's cellar while he was out of the County with a dangerous Gang, living off of his personal stockpile. Upon his return he was greeted with an empty stockpile and a good for nothing sister.

Personality: She has severe commitment issues, but she can be trusted with any kind of Labour work with amazing work ethic and can do attitude. She refuses to be sidelined for anything and is extremely competitive. She's a rather street smart person, knowing how to best keep out of trouble. She may be an ass towards Ian but she's proud that he helps people, even if she wouldn't ever admit it.

Other: Shes picked up a few neat things from California, Alaska and Nevada. Like a collection of antique knives, some lucky Inuit charms and a drinking problem. She lives with Ian, essentially sharing his supplies and her own.​
