The Shurians, born on the planet, evolved and adapted, finding joy in their violent surroundings, even coming to view it as terrific challenges. Those gigantic beasts that tore apart the very mountains and oceans? They fought them, training themselves to fight against those gigantic beasts, head to head, without giving a single inch, killing them and then making the beasts obedient to them. The harsh terrain? They conquered it. Adapting the rapid shifts of climate, the poisonous swamps, dangerous mountains, blistering volcanoes, freezing cliffs, and abyssal oceans.


And the cosmic entities, well, they destroyed them. What was once a barbaric race, had evolved into skilled warriors who overcame their world, destroying the almost god-like beings who kept them there, and advancing their civilization into a utopia of honor, skill, and brotherhood. The Shurians were now a race of warriors with strength so great, they broke down mountains, skills so vast, that they could split apart the heavens with their blades, and knowledge so grand, that even in their warrior ways, they accepted the advance of technology and started space exploration.


This was all because of their will to be strong, to always seek the next fight, the next challenge. The strongest of them all, who conquered the greatest of the beasts, and slayed the strongest of the gods, became their king, their leader. The greatest of their minds, arts, healing, and assassins became their queens. Truly it was a blessed time. Soon the King and one of his Queens had a son. The warring times were over and no longer would they need to enforce absolute power and strength. Now was a time of peace and the Queens were all to happy to let the young prince discover other pursuits.

Enter Trae, the son of the Shura King Tyrus. The King had his mind set on Trae becoming an astounding warrior that could rival him one day and accomplish the same feats.....However Trae had other ideas. While he excelled at his martial training, Trae's focus would often drift to culinary arts, taking naps, or other recreational activities. The teachers would often be lost and baffled as the young prince would disappear from his lessons to go to the kitchen to cooks, head to the ocean to surf, or generally goof off. Even when his father had meetings with others, Trae would often leave and wander off to another thing that caught his interest.

It baffled the King that his son wasn't as excited about martial strength as him. And while he thought to try and correct it, his queens would often sway Tyrus to let Trae find his own pursuits. And while Trae was skilled at martial arts and energy manipulation, his other hobbies were distracting him from reaching his true potential. It all came to a head when Shura had their Junior tournament. The future prospects of the Shurian clans all gathered together to prove their worth, with Tyrus hoping Trae would finally use his wasted potential. Of course it all came crashing down when in the very first round that Trae was in, as soon as the referee said start, Trae tapped the floor twice and walked off, not seeing the point of the fight.

Before his father could go into an uproar, Trae's mother vouched for him and finally decided to sit down and sort everything out. After hours of talking, it was decided that since Trae wouldn't exactly follow the Shurian way, maybe sending him somewhere that he would thrive at other objectives would help. So he was sent to Krauxose to find another route for himself and to pursue what he really cares about. However, Trae's father was also hoping that Krauxose would also light the fire for Trae to finally put effort into the warrior path. Will it work? Only time will tell.

Personality:
Contrary to both his parents, Trae is actually a pretty good guy. A rather nice man who would help an old lady across the street, ask you how your day is going, and always willing to offer a helping hand. Trae is the definition of positive and seems to always find the bright side of things. Trae has the patience of a saint and it takes quite a lot to irk him and get under his skin. Trae is also kind of a dork and can freak out about things when he doesn't expect them.

Trae is one of the most calm and collected person you have met. A rather laidback person, Trae can be found relaxing on a hammock or surfing waves. If you're looking for someone that is the definition of 'relaxed' looked no further. His laidback nature is a bit detrimental to motivating him to do anything he doesn't find interesting.

When angered, Trae doesn't explode like his father, but instead remains calm, but his eyes exude a frightful coldness, as if in Trae's eyes, his opponent is already dead.

Proficient Culinary Skills: While his fighting prowess is good, Trae's true passion are the culinary arts. When he wasn't sharpening his martial skills, he was in the kitchen working on his true passion.

Benevolent Businessman: Due to his upbringing in the Sentrale Clan and watching his mother's interactions with their business associates and partners Trae is a rather savvy businessman. He knows how to handle financials and how to properly interact with customers and business partners to achieve the greatest outcome. He plans on opening his own restaurant one day, so managing business was a skill he readily learned.

Weaknesses & Flaws:
Unmotivated: Trae's laidback nature is a rather welcoming personality trait, but it's also a huge crutch. Unless something completely peaks his interest, it takes a lot to get Trae to focus on something. The only reason he's even decent at martial arts is due to being naturally talented in them, not counting his natural strength. Unless it's cooking, surfing, or any of his hobbies, getting Trae to pay attention is a task within itself.

Close Ranged Combantant: Trae does not have access to any range abilities. He's a close range fighter and is usually troubled when fighting people at a range. Mages and magic users in general give Trae a hard time.

Goal(s) in school:
Become acquainted and friends with people who don't just want to fight all the time. Increase his mastery of the culinary arts so that even different dimensions know of his food. Hopefully not destroy any school property.

Powers & Abilities:
Shurian Physiology: Due to his bloodline, Trae's natural strength is an imposing sight. Iron bends in his grip and the human eye is strained to follow him when he moves at blinding speeds.

Inner Energy/Ki Manipulation: Trae has access to his own inner energy which is referred to as 'Ki' by Shurians. Using Ki, Trae can enhance his already supernatural strength to higher levels, increase his speed, and heighten his senses. Trae can use it to sense other people's life energy.

Earth Ki-Steel: Trae's style of Ki generation and manipulation. Earth Ki is often associated with elements of nature and beasts. Trae's Earth Ki classification is Steel. Steel allows Trae to 'harden' his Ki in points throughout his body, turning his skin a metallic black wherever he focuses it at. It increases his defensive power, attack power and durability when focused on his body. While using Steel, Trae's strength increases to be able take out small to medium sized buildings.

Shura Armor-Deus (Locked): While not an ability all Shurians have, the Shura armor is the signature power of Shurians. Only accessible to the most powerful of the twelve clans and only the most powerful of other Shurians, the Shura Armor is the representation of a Shurians soul, their beliefs, their ambitions, and their ultimate goals. It's considered a great honor to have a Shurian reveal their armor and when two Shurians fighting each other use their armors, it's said that all of creation will pause to watch the battle to see who will be the victor. Each Shurian who has unlocked their armor gains new abilities and unlocks a weapon that comes with it. This Armor boosts all of Trae's abilities. However, due to his young age, Trae has yet to unlock this armor and isn't exactly motivated to figure out how to any time soon.

Shurian Physiology: Due to his bloodline, Trae's natural strength is an imposing sight. Iron bends in his grip and the human eye is strained to follow him when he moves at blinding speeds.

Inner Energy/Ki Manipulation: Trae has access to his own inner energy which is referred to as 'Ki' by Shurians. Using Ki, Trae can enhance his already supernatural strength to higher levels, increase his speed, and heighten his senses. Trae can use it to sense other people's life energy.

Earth Ki-Steel: Trae's style of Ki generation and manipulation. Earth Ki is often associated with elements of nature and beasts. Trae's Earth Ki classification is Steel. Steel allows Trae to 'harden' his Ki in points throughout his body, turning his skin a metallic black wherever he focuses it at. It increases his defensive power, attack power and durability when focused on his body. While using Steel, Trae's strength increases to be able take out small to medium sized buildings.

Shura Armor-Deus (Locked): While not an ability all Shurians have, the Shura armor is the signature power of Shurians. Only accessible to the most powerful of the twelve clans and only the most powerful of other Shurians, the Shura Armor is the representation of a Shurians soul, their beliefs, their ambitions, and their ultimate goals. It's considered a great honor to have a Shurian reveal their armor and when two Shurians fighting each other use their armors, it's said that all of creation will pause to watch the battle to see who will be the victor. Each Shurian who has unlocked their armor gains new abilities and unlocks a weapon that comes with it. This Armor boosts all of Trae's abilities. However, due to his young age, Trae has yet to unlock this armor and isn't exactly motivated to figure out how to any time soon.

Backstory: Born the eldest daughter of a family of sea shamans, Cas lived in a series of sea caves, mostly water, but with some shore in the caves. Cas' family didn't belong to any particular tribe of merfolk, they were sought out by all kinds of merfolk(and even some non merfolk) for magical favors and fixes. Unlike in most tales, the races of land and sea were on agreeable terms and were not hidden from one another. Fishing was done via trade (seafood for land food), and many merfolk visited land.

Cas' family rarely visited land due to their buisness and calling as shamans and sea witches. Cas often would visit several land friends on the shore, and delt with most of the requests on land with their mother. Cas loved to tell stories and tales, and loved interacting with and helping people.

One day, Cas' family were all in the grotto, an off day for them. Several humans had come in, requesting Varuna and Iilara. Cas and their sisters were in a back cave playing. Cas was playing with their sea spirit friend, who lead them out into the main cavern. Cas was the only sibling to witness the human poachers killing their parents.

Cas, upon their parents death(bc fish are weird) became male. Most fish, when the alpha male or female dies, the largest of the other gender will switch to fill the position. Cas had never felt right in their body, and felt it natural to switch.

Once Cas reached adulthood, his sisters tattooed the enchanted designs on him as a right of passage. The enchanted tattoos allow channeling of magic, and to contact other members of the family.

Cas and his sisters have run the family buisness for a while, but Cas had wanted to learn more about magic, adventuring, and to spend more time on land. So, to the College he goes.

Personality: Cas is an open and bubbly(ish) person, and a bit of a flirt when he wants to be. Not a super mischievous type, but not straight laced either. Generally helpful and inventive, and is always ready to try something new.
Likes: The ocean(of course), marine animals, the smell of saltwater, his wheelchair, dim lighting, fruit, magic
Dislikes: People judging him, overfishing, littering, birds (bird people are cool tho), strong smells or flashing lights. Lack of accessibility.
Strengths: Creative, strong stomach. Rather personable. Can breathe, see, and sense very well underwater. Has a solution (or will try to have one) for everything.
Weaknesses & Flaws: While Cas can switch from a human form to his merman form, it is extremely difficult for him to walk. While he does have an enchanted wheelchair, it still can be hard for him to get around. While he can breathe on land and in water, he is not as used to breathing on land, so strong smells can overwhelm him.
Goal(s) in school: Better at potions. Learn to walk(!!!). Find a way to adapt a wheelchair to full merman form.

Potions and Sea magic: Think Ursula from the little mermaid. Has an extensive book of potions passed down through the family.

Spirit summoning: Can summon spirit entities of sea creatures to attack or otherwise aid him. They do not need water, act as spirits, but require his focus.

Can talk to marine animals: Self explanatory. Any water animal, he can talk to.

Magic Wheelchair: Cas' wheelchair allows Cas to maneuver on land, with minor enchantments to keep it stable, and able to cross difficult surfaces( rocks, stairs(kinda), ect.).

Backstory: Braxton has eight siblings. This makes getting attention from his parents hard, so he would act out for attention. His family are commoners who worked in the mines. He developed special powers and he got one of the few scholarships that his realm has.

People expected that he should be studious and gracious for this opportunity, Braxton is annoyed by this expectation as he just wants to have fun and does not care about maximizing his gifts for public good. While he might not care about his grades, he doesn’t want to fail as he’d get lots of criticism back home.

Personality: Braxton is outgoing and mischievous. He enjoys doing pranks, for the laughs and to see what reaction will follow. Opinionated and doesn’t mind annoying others. Will sometimes say something he doesn’t believe just to see other’s reaction.

Likes: Dirt as his people eats dirt, freedom, rain.

Dislikes: People who take life too seriously, strict rules, work, hats.

Strengths: Creative, outgoing, very sturdy.

Turns ground into quicksand. Max of five square feet. In ten minutes the ground will go back to whatever surface used to exist there. If someone or something is still in the quicksand at this point, then the person/object will be hardened into the ground.

Turns into a big bowling ball that crushes anything in its path.
