Ghenitus

This chapter of Isekai Hell begins with with a small, monster bird named seven finding herself trapped in the East Empire town of Ghenitus some time after events with continental impact. She had been separated from all allies and found herself deep within enemy territory. The residents of Ghenitus believed there was no threat too small to take seriously. Her situation was further complicated by what the town was known for: The Feet of Hermes - one of the East Empire's most elite foot soldiers that could roam the skies as easily as they could the land. Should Seven try to fly out of the town, she would be spotted by their patrols and killed with their aerial magic. The land routes for leaving the town were equally untenable. All gates in an out of town would alert the Hermes to her presence and were surrounded by tall walls only their military could get over. Seven would need to find a way to get out of town before she is discovered. The average citizen would recognize her as the monster she is.

Seven would begin this tale by awakening in her tea pot. It was of nice porcelain that was painted and was large enough to house her securely. It was one piece of a set that was considered too fine for use and was just place up high as decoration in the facility she took shelter in. It was a library of a kind. Many tomes and scrolls would be kept in the large structure of carved marble statue and pillar. Daily, humans would come and go, looking up some information or simply idling away their free time discussing various topics and reading the latest writings from their preferred philosophers and poets. Most importantly, the building was completely sheltered from the outside to protect the books, so there wasn't a chance for a Hermes to pass over and coincidentally spot Seven. Aside from the obvious shelter it provided, the library also was quiet, filled with information, and occasionally stocked with food or snacks for the visitors or staff. Like several places in East Empire, the library, as a public facility, enjoyed the luxuries of a fountain for drinking and a separate chamber with flowing water for 'relieving'.

Seven would also note the return appearance of a rat boy. He would occasionally slip into the library, like herself, and secretly help himself to some of the tombs. It wasn't clear if he could read though. It looked like he primarily had a preference for the books with pictures, but it was a dangerous hobby. Unlike the books with words, the picture books were generally bigger to better accommodate the pictures. The rat boy was barely 12 inches tall though so maneuvering the books was difficult as they were generally heavier than traditional books as well. On more than one occasion, he had to scurry away just as he managed to get his picture book situated only to have a bookkeeper come and reshelf the book. His antics were making the staff suspicious that something was afoot, but nothing had come of it yet.

The library smelled of leather bound books, carved wood, and aging parchment. Other than the floors and portions of pillar within arms reach, the rest of the facility was coated in a layer of dust that only occasionally stirred with a strong breeze from outside. Seven would be able to walk the many high shelves from her tea set base to the library wooden cross beams that ensured the high shelves wouldn't fall over. Birdy footprints and feather scuffs would now dot the previously dust coated pathways. Without friends or much power of her own, Ety would need to leverage her roomy prison and any other resources at her disposal to escape Ghenitus or die trying.

Isekai Hell RP Grade

RP never got of the ground. Will be counted as solo rp with lesser lore significance. Maybe stuff happened. Maybe not.
