In 2027 yet another plague began. This one was far more virulent and resistant to containment. There is no known cure. That is, there is none until the Hell months when rumors of Healers begin. True or not, people will become desperate.
The rumors are true. Faith healing has returned, but in a dark way. It is shamanistic, requiring sacrifice - a sort of magic, in some ways reminiscent of movies like Children of the Corn and the Wicker Man. It is primal. In fact, such healings are so successful that medical professionals - who have failed the public - often end up as the sacrificial victims.
Then came the “angels”, men who call themselves teachers of ancient wisdom. Most never appear in person. Rather they use intermediaries. Or they visit in visions. Men of science may try to oppose them, but doing so will only make them public enemies.
What kind of person will you be? Will you cling to the old ways - science? Or will you embrace the age of New Mysticism?
