What she loved the most about this club in particular was the ambiance, there was rarely any hostility in the air, and she thanked herself for that. Years of making friends with several high-class Perio born and bred families had done her justice. Sure she had a few under the table activities happening, but what great nightclub didn’t? In fact she was in the middle of a business call when the sound of her office door being opened captured her attention.

Christina held up her right index finger, Ed understood the motion and closed the door. Within five minutes the door was opened and the two operatives could hear the last bits of her conversation. “I’ll have Crystal bring him into a private room. Alright bye bye now.” There was a beep indicating that the call had ended and Ms. Borrd pivoted on her heel to face her two guest that had just been allowed into her office.

“Now I don’t usually entertain unscheduled meetings, but you two don’t look familiar, at all, so I am interested.” Christina folded all four arms and spotted a sly smile. “What is so important that you needed to come and talk to me personally?” She asked as her brow lifted

Lara's Drug Mission Attire.jpg
Uncertainty flashed across her face when their group approached the mansion. Lara felt her anxiety spike again, as she remembered her task for this mission. Her hacking skills had ended up not being helpful in the previous mission and even less so when they time traveled. Now she had to hack something again and she worried she wouldn't be up to snuff yet again. Frey had tried really hard to encourage her about her failures not being so bad, yet she still felt rooted.

Rhea took the lead rather quickly and issued her orders to the team. Lara nodded mutely as she was told what to do and moved closer to Atlas. He was far less intimidating with his usual attire gone.
Someone said her last name and Lara glanced around until she saw that Atticus was speaking to her. She was not entirely sure why they were going by last names only and she sadly knew very few last names of the group, if any at all. She also had very little interaction time with Atticus, so she felt increasingly uncomfortable with the fact that she would have to work alongside two people who were practically strangers to her on top of trying to prove herself as a valuable team member. Still, it did seem like most everyone had not really noticed her failures in the last mission. At least, nobody was bringing them up.

Hearing Atticus' idea, Lara immediately shook her head and took a step back with her hands raised defensively.
"N-no, that's an iffy plan at best. Ya don't want to see my acting, trust me."

Worriedly glancing at the mansion now, Lara continued, "I just need to do my hacking and then Atlas can get in. Feel free to act like his bodyguard if you want. I'll need a distraction to get to the scanner."

Intent on moving on before Atticus could try to pressure her into acting again, Lara began walking away from their group and made a beeline for where body scanner was supposed to be. She could only hope that Atlas and Atticus would follow after her.

Following after Dalziel, Luness maintained her usual composure of looking both neutral and ready to throw a punch if it were needed. It was her usual look to anyone who knew her and it rarely helped her in persuading anyone to assist her during missions. Her reputation for not obeying Torin's orders and generally being a wildfire in most missions did her little justice either.

Alas, Luness' ability to catch on insinuations in the English language was still not too great and so when Dalziel tried to drop a hint, she merely stared at him blankly and muttered, "What, you want me to walk in there in my alien form instead?"
Before Dalziel could respond, he tried for casual conversation with the bodyguard, Ed if she recalled correctly, and Luness crossed her arms as she waited for them to be let in. She was already having a hard time reading the situation and she hoped that Dalziel had not asked her to join him in the hopes of her assisting with any conversation aspects. She was better at resolving fights and knew little about navigating a simple conversation. She often unnecessarily aggravated whoever was speaking with her and this rarely did her any good on missions, much less in everyday life.

When they were finally called in to the office, those five minutes felt like an eternity to someone with little patience, Luness found herself still wondering what Dalziel had meant. She knew she smelled like a cat at all times, even in her human form. Did the boss have some pet cats back home? It was times like these that Luness wished someone would just speak plainly to her in English.

Still, catching the tail end of the Christina Borrd's conversation had Luness' curiosity piqued and she instinctively wondered who might be getting tortured and what for. Or perhaps it was an interrogation. Perhaps someone had messed up a drug delivery for the club.

Luness was wary of the four arms of Christina, as she knew that meant she would be all the more difficult to fight if it came to it. She was never keen on having to fight any cyborg or android, as their strength was always capable of matching her own. Luness definitely preferred having an advantage over any of her enemies.
Keeping her arms crossed, Luness stood at Dalziel's side and kept an eye on Christina for any hints of her making a move against them. While she did not often employ this ability, Luness chose that time to change only her eyes to that of her alien form, causing them to now glow and her left eye to become a golden color. With her enhanced vision, she kept her eyes glued to Christina, an unwavering gaze that would unsettle the average human. Though Luness was more than aware that Christina would be unlikely to be fazed by such a stare.

As she waited for Dalziel to speak up now, Luness absentmindedly wondered what his angle even was. He had not really told her much of his plan besides wanting to speak with Christina.

Pleasantly surprised that there were no objections, Rhea took a moment to feel proud of herself when Atlas said he liked the plan, before sobering. In fact, Barnes had taken her idea and ran with it, muttering something to Sinciato; the female had hovered closer to Atlas, perhaps intending to use him as a cover. She seemed meek, and with a slightly deepened scowl Rhea wondered if the human would be up to the task.

No time to worry about that though, as the hacker was making her way to the entrance. Rhea could only catch up to her, before overtaking. Maybe the girl was feeling nervous. Nevertheless, this was no time to go in without a plan. The centaur walked in front of the albino, looking back on her with a glare, annoyed she’d gone in without so much as a word. At least, not a word to the rest of the group. Expression returning to the default slight frown, Rhea walked up to the person at the entrance and handed them her identification card.

“Miss Reya. Everything seems in order, all you have to do is step through here-” they were cut off by Rhea stepping forward. Seconds passed, and the tall doorperson bowed, seemingly signaling that she was allowed entry. The extraterrestrial bowed back, before one awkward pause shared between the two of them reminded her she was out of her element here. Coughing, she straightened. Hastily stepping into the mansion before the moment became even more awkward (or worse; they become suspicious), Rhea made a mental note to watch herself in this place. Looking back on her fellow operatives as she walked further into the mansion, her eye narrowed. Now she could only hold her breath and hope that the others would stick to the plan. She turned forward. Relax. Even if the others failed, as long as Atlas was not found out and there was a crack in the Mansion's defenses, this mission wasn't over yet. Striding forward much more confidently, the extraterrestrial put a hand on her belt and readied herself for an evening of sneaking, deception, and watching two people beat each other up for the wealthy elite.

Atlas crossed his - still titanic, even without the jacket - arms as Lara moved closer, acknowledging the new teammate. As she was not a member of Onyx, Atlas hadn't interacted with her too much. He only hoped that he'd leave a good impression by the mission's end. As for Atticus, he welcomed additional Onyx muscle with open arms.

As much as Atlas would've loved to barge right in, he knew that the body scanner wouldn't go unnoticed. "You're not wrong, Atticus. I look the part, they probably wouldn't ask any questions, especially if we were pushy. Sadly, scanner'll force 'em to do their jobs. They wouldn't be able to stop me, of course, but it'd compromise the mission." He ran one of his hands through his snow-white hair, his sensors picking up on the unnaturally soft texture that it possessed. Such covert missions were beyond Atlas and, to be honest, made him feel out of place. Atlas had confidence in his intelligence and common sense, he just had absolutely no talent in regards to missions like these. He didn't feel good about leaving the work to others, but he didn't have much of a choice in this situation. "Let's get ya' where you need to be, Lara. Once you get me in, I'll do what I need to do. I'm counting on you."

Atlas had noticed Lara's tense demeanor, though refrained from saying anything about it as he didn't want it to worsen. He wasn't oblivious as to why - Atlas had practically never met her, and he doubted Barnes and Sinciato were good friends. He just hoped them being unfamiliar wouldn't interfere with her work.

The silver-haired woman had already starting moving towards where the scanner was, though perhaps a little bit preemptively. He instinctively reached into the air, grasping for nothing as his words were about to chase after her. Before Atlas could say anything, Rhea had already intercepted her. It seemed she was eager to get things over with, though, Atlas wanted her to take her time. Atlas turned his head, proposing a quick little plan to Atticus. "For a distraction.. Howsabout we try to make the guards let us in without scanning us? After the hacking's done, we can consent to the scan and walk in all smug-like..Though, I guess that depends on if the scanner is automatic, doesn't it?" It was tough - they were lacking some info. He didn't want to be too reckless, as causing a distraction could easily turn on its head and just make them look comically suspicious. Since Lara had been stopped by Rhea, Atlas took the moment to catch up and then tap Lara on the shoulder, hoping to draw her attention away from the entrance for a moment. "So we just need to get you inside, right?" Atlas wanted to make sure they had ample communication regarding intentions and what people were planning to do. "What is this person doing?" As soon as you have to ask yourself that kind of question, the chances of failure rise substantially. "I just want to be entirely clear about things. We'll be able to distract them for you, if that's what ya' need." He wasn't really good at polite smiles - they always came out as cocky or arrogant, especially paired his his sharp, aggressive eyes. Nevertheless, he did his best in order to relieve some tension. His tone was genuine, at the very least.

The pulsating , infectious beats of the music were the only thing that she focused on. It was the only thing she wanted to focus on when she was atop of her platform. Her domain. When she stepped onto this beaming stage, and became the object of all the leering eyes and stares from these big business men, she knew she ran it all. After all, she was the clubs highest paid dancer and most requested, it was of no surprise why Mistress Borrd kept her around. Among for other things.

The average statured alien woman moved her body salaciously to the rhythm of the music, her backside grinding slowly against the cold, unforgiving steel pole behind her. This was all routine to her, the moves, the specific steps to the right patrons who she knew would cream their pants if she so much as gave a glance in their direction, followed by handfuls of bills being tossed at her 6 inch stilettos. Tonight was no different. At least that’s what she thought until she noticed some eye catching activity going on from where she could see the entrance. That was the benefit of being on the main stage, she could see all and know exactly who came and went.

As she went into her finishing move of a downward split, the music began to die down and eventually the blinding spotlights. Dissatisfaction sounded from the surrounding viewers, demanding more, but a sudden ping in her right ear told her that she was now needed elsewhere. In a experienced, smooth sweep she collected all the earnings from her little show and headed to the back while the lights were still off. She accidentally was bumped into another dancer, a dark haired one with excessive make up, who merely scoffed at her before swinging open the curtain and taking the stage for her performance. Crystal ignored it, she was used to unprovoked hate she got from the other girls. Simply because she was “the favorite”. She wasn’t here to make friends, and she made sure that was known.

As she went to set down her earning into her safe, a message from Ms. Borrd came to Crystal once she was in the dressing room. The instructions were clear, and not something unlike what shes had to do before to distract someone from getting a little too nosey into the inner workings of this club. Sighing, Crystal took a few moments to freshen up, spray on her signature scent and make sure her lacy black lingerie inspired set was still looking good in all the right places. She had a role to play now.

Stepping out into the open fray of the nightclub, it was almost instantaneous when several admirers began to race to grab her attention, holding out wads of money for a, “ moment alone” with her. Thankfully, it seemed this was anticipated as dear Ed came and scared off the annoying customers. A rare, grateful smile shown on her full lips for the husky Android, which he only nodded and bowed respectfully back, before gesturing over towards the bar area, “The human man is at the bar, Lady Crystal. Mistress Borrd expects you know what to do.” He affirmed, which Crystal nodded, waving him off. “Yeah, yeah, get him alone, distract him, find out what he wants and get rid of him. I know the drill big guy.” She stated boredly, but her smile was still playful. Just for him. He was a good bot, always helped her out in a bind. Especially when dealing with these entitled pricks.

Ed nodded and left, probably to head back to Ms. Borrds office, and Crystal schooled her features back to the appearance of pure allure. Her feline like eyes zeroing in on the man sitting with his back turned to her, as he seemed to be fiddling with something in his wrist.

Hmm, it doesn’t seem like he has a lot of money..

It was going to be annoying having to entertain someone that wouldn’t be much profit for her, because it also meant she would miss out on top paying clientele too. She hoped Ms. Borrd would make up for it. She usually did.

She sauntered over to the unsuspecting man at the bar, and soft, manicured hands slid their way over onto Del’s broad shoulders, pressing her ample chest against his back as she leaned in close to his ear, “Watcha’ having big boy?” She whispered against his skin, her cool breath doing the trick as she noticed the slight prickling of skin there. Raising her head up slightly, her amethyst gaze catching the bartenders for a moment, a silent exchange that this one was hers for the night. “Two shots of whisky. Make sure it’s the good stuff, luv.” She requested for the bartender, the usual order she made for this sort of job.

Going back to Del, Crystal remained standing as she instead leaned herself against the bar, giving the amber eyed man a full view of her barely concealed form, she brought a hand over to catch the wrist that he was previously scratching at, noting the interesting design tattooed there before slowly rubbing at the exposed skin. “I’ve never seen you in here before, what brings you to Inferno?” She questioned with a feigned amount of disinterest in her tone. It was clear he was an undercover operative of some sort, she couldn’t let on that she had any idea, however. When the bartender came back with the shots, the snow haired woman slid one over to him before taking one for herself. Holding it up half way with a false, sugar sweet smile on her rouge lips. “Bottoms up?” She invited, waiting for him to bring his small glass to meet hers. God, this was such a waste of time.

With group Alpha successfully gaining entrance to the grand nightclub known as Inferno; a formal or rather informal investigation can begin. 6R1M is joined by her squad lead seeing how the others have gone their separate ways. Uzali suggest they sit at the bar, something about people opening up to bartenders came into play, well that and the fact that people tended to be more mouthy when alcohol was involved. The two take a comfortable seat at the bar and within seconds the bartender gravitates towards them. Del is lured into a more private setting by Crystal, and Ms. Borrd request that Ed leave the area as she continues her conversation with Dalziel and Luness.

Meanwhile at White Willow Mansion, group Omega has managed to get through the security check thanks to the hacking of Lara. Though they’ve safely made it into the mansion, letting their guard down would be a huge mistake. Atlas’s large form captures the attention of nearly everyone in the room, the owners on the large home in particular. Deciding it’s best if they don’t stick together the entirety of the party, the group disperses. Dahlia and Drexel take on the role of a young couple ready to introduce their healthy fighter (Atlas) into the ring. Atticus, Rhea, and Lara decide to search the mansion for clues, and so they venture away from the chatter and hors d'oeuvres served on silver platters.

Starting to feel an ounce of confidence as she focused on her task, Lara halted mid-step when Rhea suddenly moved ahead and then glared right at her. No words were exchanged and Lara felt both perplexed and chastised despite this. Her confidence faltered once more and Lara looked down at her shoes before remembering that she had very little time left to do her job.

With a sigh, Lara was about to try and move herself behind some cover, but Atlas tapped her on the shoulder and she flinched before turning to face him. She was mostly surprised by the touch than anything else.
She nodded at the mention of a distraction and replied, "Yeah, a distraction is all I really need. Anything to draw their attention away from the scanner's keypad, or whatever it has. Make enough noise and I'll be able to step aside. But just don't draw the entire mansion, yeah?"
Atlas attempted a smile at that moment and Lara inwardly cringed at the sight, but tried a halfhearted reassuring smile of her own in kind. She could have sworn she was not normally this awkward, but it seemed as if her true personality was really surfacing with these chaotic missions.

As their group moved forward and something of a distraction unfolded for her, Lara stepped aside and slipped behind cover. While she fumbled a bit to start, she ultimately succeeded with her hacking and returned to the group with a triumphant grin. At least she had done something right finally.

Once inside, Lara stood in awe and looked around the room while the others regrouped. Her big task had been to get Atticus inside, she did not really know what else to do at this point.

With the rest of the group managing to get into the mansion without incident, the group (well, mostly her) decided that a story would be needed to blend in better with the crowd. Thankfully, both Drexel and Dahlia agreed to pair up as a temporary couple, and alongside Atlas, they would head down to the basement.

Rhea was left with Atticus and Lara to search the mansion. It was a pairing she wasn’t too happy with; she’d barely spoken with either beforehand, and while she wouldn’t say she despised Atticus, she didn’t like him either. Still, they were only doing a simple sweep of the house, so it’s not like they would have to socialise. With a sigh Rhea turned to her companions. “Alrig. We do not know if the Gaylords are awares of the Muse being used during their fights, but if they are, it is likely they’ve been in contact with the distributors, either through physical dealers or mail chats. We wills do a sweeping of each floor; I shall take bottom, Barnes middle and Sinciato top. If you finds something you believe could link the Gaylords to Muse yous can take picture and send to rest of us. If you need some help getting into a devis then you should contact Sinciato. Questions? No? Good.” And with that, she took off, not keen on having to socialise any longer than needed.

Leaving the bathroom the three had gathered in, she let her hooves wander the building. The hard part was over now; if the two wished to go against her plan she would have no qualms with it, seeing as they’d already gotten Atlas inside. Worst that could happen is one of them gets kicked out, though she trusted that Lara would not draw attention to herself.
