Zackary Sighed and Looked at the Girls, and Sighed. He was only here Due to being asked to be here and he is a bit confused right now."someone Explain what is going on."Zackary said. Even since he had Casshern and King Kazma, Things had been a little Hectic and odd, But he got used to it. But Now since he's here and hearing things about the disks and Drivers it's Sorta Confusing him.
 
Yugo had been with the group for quite a while, just in the background. He dared not enter a conversation in which he was not allowed or mentioned in. He supposed he'd wait behind everyone, taking a sip from his flask. Of course, he did feel just a tad bit left out. He wanted to be included. He wanted to get to know everybody...​
 
Arthur looked around at the others, turning back to shake his head. "I'm serious, son. Lives are at stake. Von List and his undead army are marching on my allies as we speak and I refuse to just let them die without their leader. I don't know what any of this void nonsense is, but it's starting to get on my nerves. Unless you're one of his minions, in which case this is going to end very poorly for you. Understand?"
 
Amaterasu eventually headed back to the group, her eyes landing on another character, a man who had a strange-looking device, or weapon, on his side. She let out a curious growl and approached the man, her ears perked as she tried to investigate the device.

"Whoa, chill out dude. No one needs to die here. I don't think anyone else knows about this... what did you say his name was? Von List?" Issun spoke up, getting back on Amaterasu as she continued to figure out the sidearm was.

Her suspicions were confirmed the moment she heard the sound of battle emanating nearby. Samus quickly swerved her arm cannon to face the general direction of where the action was coming from; her body tensing up for combat. And right on cue, a thundering explosion brought forth one of these combatants barreling towards her. The Bounty Hunter locked her aim on the fallen character, ready to fire at a moment's notice as it skidded to a halt on its knees. That's when the identity of the being became painfully clear; as Samus' eyes bulged out in a sudden, almost terrifying, realization.

No... no it couldn't be.

The overwhelming urge to exterminate this doppelganger right on the spot was downright nauseating. Was this yet another SA-X version of her? Did one of the original specimens survive and somehow took the form of Samus in her Fusion Suit? She thought she had exterminated them back on the BSL research station; even having defeated and absorbed two SA-X's sporting her original Varia suit when she was at full power. Surely, none could've escaped right? And what was more bizarre was this incarnation sported some sort of module on her left arm - as if it was a primitive disc player from the early 21st century. She'd never heard or seen anything like that before.

Then it spoke; once again throwing the original bounty hunter off her gaze. Who was "they"?

Then she saw who was "they"; and her blood boiled.

Immediately a torrent of brief, spliced-up flashbacks took Samus on a mental crusade. The Battle with Metroid Prime on Tallon IV; the crisis between Aether and Dark Aether; and the climatic Final Battle on Phaaze; a trilogy of events that she believed marked the end of her Phazon imposter. But here she was - without armor in fact - a twisted creature that might as well resemble what the intergalactic savior would become had she succumbed to Phazon corruption.

The Dark Samus spoke to her Fusion self, talking her down and wanting her to join the organization "The Scratch". It was then when Samus also caught eye of the same disc module that also adorned the doppelganger's right arm. She also noticed the black-clad spectators seemingly watching over this match; scans quickly indicating the numbers to be in the thousands. Just what in the universe was going on? Was this some sort of sick tournament? And where the usage of her "selves" coincidental or purposeful?

She looked back down at Fusion Samus, who was already back on her feet. Regardless it seemed clear who the true enemy here was. Without hesitation, Samus charges up a beam, jerking her cannon straight in Dark Samus' direction in one "blink-or-you-miss-it" motion, before firing. Regardless of what her true motives were, our bounty hunter knew it was only going to be bad news if they come to fruition.

    "You're about to join a psuedo-military group that comprises of Drivers like you." Werner explains to the somewhat spaced out Zackary. "No, well, technically you already joined. You're here after all, aren't you?" She shrugged, "And no, I'm not doing the whole speech again, so here's a rundown--big hole in the sky. Discs and Drivers with powers of fictional characters fell from it. Chaos ensued due to rampant Drivers and Scratch. Vinyl is formed. ReRuns showed up, and then Vinyl now recruits civvies with Drivers." She briefly summarized, soon raising a brow at the white haired college student. "...You do know what a Driver is, right?" She asked, wanting to confirm if there are actually Drivers who don't know what they're doing.

    "Alright, everyone, show of hands. Who doesn't know what a Driver is?" Timothy asked, wanting to see if there are new recruits who actually don't know what they're doing.

Noel and Erika Hagakure

Aside from the salary, the sisters do not like what the captain is saying, especially Noel. Does this mean that there is no turning back now? Noel hoped it will never come to this. Erika on the other hand is fully aware of what is going to happen to her, but something about a library of Discs piques her interest. Still, she could not fully trust what they're saying. Something about Vinyl does not suit her right. After some questions answered from other recruits and a short recap, Werner asks them raise their hands if they know what a Driver is. The sisters know only the basic things about the Drivers, yet they both raise their hands as they wanted to know more about them.

"You curious too huh?" Erika asked. "I...I just want to make sure." Noel meekly respond.

"Sorry, can't disclose anything until the time is right. But what I can say is that they've been a great help anyway."

So that's how it is, then? Lena let out a sharp sigh, accepting the answer although it felt like a dodgy one to her. "Alright, fine then." The girl in the officer uniform clearly didn't want to disclose much, not even her discs. Was it really necessary, though? Weren't they going to all be working together anyways? So they'll figure it out at some point or another.

Well, she guessed her analysis would just have to wait, then. There was certainly more information to take in as it was. She watched as Werner got joined by this strange random blonde girl named Yakumo who just showed up out of nowhere and left...was that a space rift? Lena had read theory about this kind of thing before, but she honestly knew very little. She thought the entire time-space continuum was pseudoscience until the discs incident happened. Her familiarity came more from science fiction novels...she was going to put that one in the mental to-be-researched list now. Not that she knew where to start.

That aside, she listened as Werner gave her speech and introduce this airship...as in, an actual real-life sizable airship and yes she was excited oh how she wished the tour would include the engine room and control room. If there was going to be a tour. Maybe this Captain Timothy Lead guy would give one? For that matter, would they have full access, or would some parts be closed off?

She kind of wanted to ask then and there, but then she had to wait as the girl she was talking to before went on to ask questions about important things like pay and insurance. Unexciting, but begrudgingly important. Apparently, they were going to get paid by mission, and they had health and dental as well as both life and Ego insurance. Which was...also a thing. Lena really didn't like to think about the possibility of an ego break. She hasn't exactly come anywhere close before, but she also hasn't really had a real fight with them before. She liked to think that she might be mostly safe, since her discs didn't have a huge output of raw power. She wasn't turning into Godzilla or anything. Kurapika probably concerned her the most, mostly because of the whole red eyes thing, but...it'll be fine. Most likely. She trusted them.

After that, one of the guys went and asked a generic question about what was going on, and Werner took a moment to turn around and ask if they all knew what a driver was. Lena didn't raise her hand. Of course she knew what a Driver was! Well...okay, maybe she would love to learn more about them than what she did know...but she didn't want to make it out like she was clueless, because she wasn't, probably.

Lena started drumming her fingers on her wrist impatiently. She really wanted to ask more questions about that airship...
 
"It just has to be Area 51, doesn't it? I always assumed you stored your aliens somewhere else, and all this talk about E.T.s and weird stuff and whatnot in here was just a diversion."

William "Will" D. Card looked around and listened.

"Got mine right here! And I definitely know how to use it!"

A young girl beside Will, Wynn D. Card, excitedly raised her driver in the air before reattaching it to herself.

"Hush, kiddo. Give the talkin' chance to those a bit slower on the uptake. Though... somethin' tells me there's somethin' here we're all not knowin'," Will crosses his arms.

A rose brow said it all. Samus had no clue to whatever her dark doppelganger was talking out. "Helper"? "Drivers"? What did she mean? Did they relate to the disc-modules on their arms? Nonetheless, she could safely assume that this Dark Samus, alongside Fusion Samus, were not under the influence of the X-Parasites. Whatever these individuals truly represented was something way over her head, but she was going to find out as soon as she defeats her old adversary.

While her opponent was blabbering on, Samus made a quick scan of her own arsenal to determine what she had on her currently. Unsurprisingly, most of her high-grade abilities and weapons were not available and/or lost. It was going to be one of those day weren't they. They must've been confiscated during her time in stasis. However, fate was kind enough to leave her with a few abilities for her disposal - such as the morph ball, morph bombs, homing missiles, grapple beam and surprisingly the screw attack - as well as the charge beam she just fired. The rest was up to her to track down or regain from certain opponents. It was going to be a pain; but it was something she was used to.

Suddenly, the bounty hunter felt a rush cold air brush by her head from behind, as Fusion Samus fired an ice missile at Dark Samus. The impact sent her rearing back several meters, taking her down for the time being. Samus took a quick moment to glance back at her Fusion self, her visor gleaming from the smoke and debris. Despite her intimidating stature, she would give a confirming nod - acknowledging their partnership against the common enemy. The huntress would then turn and begin approaching Dark Samus with stride; their "rematch" coming to a head.

Charging another beam, Samus starts running towards her as fast as she could. Had her shinespark ability been active, she wouldn't hesitate smashing into her at immense speed, but alas she'll need to be more creative with what she currently has at her disposal. Once in close range, the bounty hunter fires her charged shot, hopefully before her opponent would get to her senses.

Yugo watched the woman with a small nod, honestly a bit intimidated by her. He took another small sip from his flask, now a bit startled and trembling.​

    The two high ranking Vinyl members observed as some of the recruits raised their hands--some surprising, most likely from due to Erika being a Government Agent and would've already been well aware. Some are just confused, and the others...Well, they already know.

    "Oh cool. Your Discs also have sentience." Werner said to Zackary, crossing her arms.

    "Actually, all of them are sentient. They can only speak to their user, though." Timothy corrected

    "Seriously? I thought only Yakumo did that. Huh." Werner shrugged, turning back to the group--most of which actually knew what a driver is. He sighed as he began to explain. "These Drivers came as a package deal with the Discs. They're virtually indestructible, so we haven't got a chance to get a look at how it works, exactly." He soon turned to Timothy. "How about we continue this talk on the ship?" Werner suggested. "Vinyl does have a specialist that's working on trying to assembling these things, so it's better that they explain it."

    "Yeah, I'm sure they'll be excited to see the new recruits, too." Timothy nods, scratching his chin. Just as he was about to instruct the group to move to the Grand Nuage, a green clad soldier with white slacks and a futuristic looking visor and headpiece approached the captain, holding a similarly futuristic rifle slung on his shoulder.

    Swept Away Crew Of The Grand Nuage​

    "Captain! Supply restock and ship maintenance is now complete." The soldier reports. "Captain Prarie also asked to see you after you're done with the recruits."

    "Oh, just in time." Timothy turns to the soldier, "Tell the guys at the cockpit that they're given the go ahead once all the recruits are aboard the ship. And tell the ship captain that we'll get there after the tour." He ordered, turning to the new recruits. "Well then, everyone. It's time we take to the skies as Vinyl." He says as he signaled everyone to follow him up the ramp.

    The top deck of the ship was spacious--large enough for a small plane or several helicopters to land on. Aside from that, there was nothing of note up on the outer deck, save for the entrance to the ship's elevator--which leads to the interior proper.

    The elevator was large enough to fit the number of recruits present. On the walls of the elevator shaft was the number '05', indicating that this is the 5th level of the ship, going down. and as the last one entered, a ring of sheet of blue hard light appeared in front of the passageway and around the platform--acting as doors as the elevator started to descend.

    "Despite the Nuage's size, there's actually not much in it." Timothy explains, "There are only a handful of rooms--a few of them are used by some of the ship Personnel for very important reasons, others are storage rooms." He said, "Your assigned rooms are at the 3rd and 4th Level--the former is where we'll be going through the important parts of the ship." He says, "Of course, there's still the engine room down at the 1st level, but I've been asked by the Ship's Captain to keep that place confidential."

"I don't think that randomly pushing buttons is a bright idea." Issun said, turning his attention to Katrielle and away from Arthur. He hoped off Amaterasu and headed towards Katrielle, before speaking again.

"Do you have any idea what you're doing? You could kill us with random button pushing! Why not have Amaterasu use one of her celestial brush powers to blow open an exit?" Issun suggestioned, not thinking about the fact that Amaterasu using Cherry Bomb wasn't exactly the best idea ever. Not in a crowded area, anyway.

Amaterasu's focus was still on Arthur, still checking out the mystery firearm. She couldn't figure out it worked, but she was still determined to do so.

As she made her mad dash, Samus took note of the barrage of missiles that barreled past her. It appeared her Fusion self had already launched their assault with a missile barrage. They rushed towards Dark Samus, only for her to unleash a volley of beams from her suit and eliminate them from long range. While missiles were indeed good in dealing extra damage, one would have to apply them strategically. Lower your enemy's defenses and unleash your payload when they were at their most vulnerable. It was a mindset that had helped Samus make quick work of particularly difficult opponents; and she had an idea how to implement this. She would load a missile into her cannon and hold it for the meantime

As the beams closed in, the huntress quickly sidestepped out of the first few barrages without losing her momentum. She winced at several close calls, seeing some beams fly just inches from her face or arms. It was then when she went into her morph ball form; making herself a much smaller target. She weaved effortlessly through the chaotic battleground in a diagonal formation, dodging the majority of her attacks - with only a very few bouncing off her seal-tight form. Once right under her opponent's immediate "safe-zone", Samus swiftly emerged from her morph ball and attempted to swipe her arm cannon right under her opponent's chin for a stun.

If it collided, Samus would follow up with a swipe to her opponents legs and finishing the combo off by punching Dark Samus with her arm cannon, firing her missile just before impact for an explosive finish.
 
Noel and Erika Hagakure

So the two high ranking officials have talked, mentioning that the Discs are sentient and only the user can hear their voices. The Drivers have come packed with them and they're indestructible, so there is no way for them to examine its inner workings. Noel is okay with the explanation, but Erika is not convinced believing there is something more to them that they don't know and she wants to find out. It is now time for the recruits to go on board the ship. Before they could go in, a green soldier in futuristic wear approaches the captain, mentioning about supplies, maintenance and the mention of Captain Prarie. Erika is thinking about having a visit to them if she has the chance.

On queue, the recruits get on board the ship. The inside is rather spacious but nothing noteworthy. They go in the elevator and went down. During this time, Captain Timothy talks about the assigned rooms located at the 3rd and 4th floors with the former being what they're headed. He also mentions the 1st floor, the engine room, but the captain of the ship has told him that its off limits, all the more reasons for Erika to sneak in there eventually.

Zackary just get on the ship, but stops."Wait, Why is there a Ship here?"He asked, He looked surprised actually. Zackary just send King kazma Facepalming at what he said. While the captain was explaining about the floors and what was off -limits he decided to not go there and try to explore the other areas for now until he gets bored.

Itsuki nodded at that, while listening to Katrielle Explain."What kind of cosmic being excast?"She asked. She knows about cosmic beings from another world, Due for her experience and is surprised no hasn't made a remark on her looking like a boy.

    "Literally 5 minutes ago." Werner raised a brow, prompting Timothy to intervene.

    "This ship will be your new home from now on--part of the military program, but don't worry. We're pretty lax." Timothy says as they stopped on the 3rd level--stopping directly in the middle of the hallway. The hardlight sheet that separated the two halls finally flickered off, allowing the gang to be able to wander the halls.

    The sign near the elevator shaft says the following--on the direction where the ship's entrance was are the direction to the Data, Lab, and Command Rooms. The other path that opened up were the living quarters.

    "First up is the Data Room. It's where the ship's Transerver is." Timothy explains as he led them down the hall.

    "Transerver?"

    "Big computer pod thingy." Timothy answered when Werner asked. "It's a complicated machine, that thing. But apparently, where this and the Nuage came from, it's acts as both a public terminal for communication, and a teleporter." He explained, walking in front of the room. Above it was the label 'Data'.

    "It also has a great view once it's on the air." Timothy explains, standing in front of the door and touching it. The door bellowed out a mechanical hum as it split in half horizontally, the sides retreating onto the frames creating a passageway inside.

    Once inside, the group was greeted with a somewhat spacious room with a golden lamp-post/booth like device in the middle. A glowing console near its base with a half circular bar around it. It was empty, so no one was using it.

    "That yellow thing is a Transerver." Timothy walked over to the device, slapping its side. "This baby used to be made for only a single person to teleport. But now, with modifications from our tech specialist, it can teleport an entire squad a time."

To say that this was a lot to take in was an understatement. With every minute that passed, Elam thought himself positively overwhelmed by the new people showing up (that random summon of Werner's was probably the most baffling, although he was sure that had to be related to her driver somehow), the technical details about their new jobs, the giant airship, and just...everything, even though it wasn't all necessarily outside of what he expecting. It did definitely make things feel more real when stuff like insurance started getting brought up. Made him remember that this was indeed a serious job he was getting into, not just some vigilante-esque fight in the streets. He was going to be working with the military, tracking down this Scratcher group—maybe that was the thing he needed to ask questions about. He thinks he has a decent grasp on what the drivers and discs are and how they work through experience (although there was probably still so much he didn't know), but he would like to know a little more about who they're actually fighting. Although, admittedly, he probably would have much better awareness than he does now if he merely listened to the news more.

He followed along with the tour, staying near the back of the group as he quietly observed the place and found himself amazed by the size and just how high-tech it felt. He knew that the military had this kind of stuff in tow somewhere, but he had assumed upon arrival that their group was just going to get some small barracks in the desert. This made them feel oddly...important? Although, well, he knew that Vinyl was a big deal, and he was now technically one of them, but he himself wasn't all that much to speak of, and, well...

He continued to listen until Timothy Lead got to a spacious room with a golden lamp-thing in the middle. A teleportation chamber, he said. Which can transport an entire squad at a time. Elam's eyes went wide. "Wait, so, you're saying that this is how we're going to be transported to our missions? All together all at once?" Elam followed up before he even realized what he was doing. He winced a little internally, wondering if he talked too soon. He hadn't asked any questions yet, and this wasn't exactly at the top of his to-be-asked list, but now that he started he might as well keep on going, because leaving it at that felt...incomplete? "I...I mean, I'm...curious, about our scope. I mean, I know that obviously we're going to be using this for transport since you just pointed it out to us just now and there would be no other reason for you to tell us, but, uh, can it go literally anywhere? Or just to another teleporter? If that's the case, then, where are they? Are we just staying in this country, or will be international? Are there places that are off limits? Any countries that hate us? Just...just so we know..."

Yeah, he probably talked way too much. Again.

Penelope walked along with the group
trying to figure out what was going on. She tried not to draw attention to herself, but the jingling pendant was most likely a dead giveaway. She knew people knew about her power, and she didn’t like the fact the she was famous back in her hometown. She looked up at the places in the ship and sighed, looking nervous the entire time. She was scared, but she really didn’t want to admit that. She hoped that she would feel better when she got enough sleep, and then she realized something. “ pardon me, do we have to have roommates?” She asked the air, hoping she would get an answer from someone

Lena was silently thrilled to be given a tour of the airship just like she had hoped, looking quiet and observant on the outside but doing many backflips and wide-eyed salivations on the inside. This was peak technology, and she was going to live here! There was so much to see, and already she was filing away in her mind a million and one questions to ask for later. How did the doors work? What was the security system like? What was the processing power of the computer systems? What kind of metal was that beam over there? But, sadly, one of her questions from before did get answered, and not in the way she would have hoped—some parts of the ship were indeed off limits. That is, the first floor, which was the floor with the engine room, a.k.a. the most interesting part of any craft of air or sea, hands down, aside from the places where they kept the tech. Because of course, out of all her curiosities, computers were bound to high on the list; she wasn't a CS major for nothing.

But, before she got around to her own questions, she heard a very small peep from the girl walking beside her, this short girl with green and white hair whose name she has yet to catch (then again, she hasn't really been introduced to anyone at all, for that matter). She asked about roommates but was acting really shy about it for some reason; she spoke quietly and it didn't seem to Lena like Timothy or most of the rest of the group heard her at all.

"Hey, you gotta speak up," Lena told her in attempts to be helpful. "Make sure the guy can hear you. That is a good question, though. I guess, since he said there's not a whole lot of rooms in this place, that we will probably will be rooming with somebody. Then again, our group isn't the largest, so maybe not. I imagine we'll get more people in the future, though. Anyways, I think I'd be fine with rooming with someone as long as they're someone interesting." She then added halfway to herself with a sly smile, "Heh, wouldn't it be funny if I ended up with that officer girl? Then, she have to tell me more details about her story eventually." That or she'll just keep being dodgy. But the very act of withholding information was enough to make Lena even more curious, so...
 
“ thank you” she said as she smiled and then said it a little louder, “pardon me, are we going to have roommates” she asked a little bit louder, hoping that someone else would hear her.

The thick haze that rose after Samus' counter attack would blanket the nearby area. Visibility would be low for anyone lacking the proper equipment; something the bounty hunter had no problem with thanks to her visor's onboard energy scanner. It would be enough to have her peer through most of the smoke. But as she rose her arm cannon for another assault, she soon noticed the rocky debris around her slowly floating into the air. Despite lacking her gravity suit modification, she remained stationed on the ground unimpaired. It wouldn't be until she saw them combining with the neon-blue phazon did Samus quickly connect the dots.

As the shrapnel beam barreled towards her, the huntress braced herself and rolled to the side. Several beams would hit the shoulder paddings, but Samus would find herself relatively uninjured. She roughly remembered how her Dark Samus fought - despite being so long ago by now - which should hopefully be enough to take her down a third time. Again, the armored hunter ran towards her opponent, making sure not to get hit by any more potential beams. Two homing missiles spewed from her cannon, setting their course straight towards their mark. Surely they were doomed to failure like Fusion Self earlier; perhaps to be effortlessly struck down by a well-placed beam or simply sidestepped...

But Samus had a plan. For here... they merely acted as distractions.

If her plan worked, Samus unveiled her grapple beam and attempted to lasso Dark Samus, wrapping around her like an energy serpent. She utilized all of her strength to wrangle her opponent in, readying a charge shot in the process.

If the cards lined up, this might also be the perfect opportunity for Fusion Samus to get a few hits in as well.

    "That depends on the mission, really." Timothy explains. "Most of the time, since ReRuns usually appear in pairs and bring a long a part of the series with them, we usually have to split into groups to maximize the efforts." He says, "But yeah. The teleporter only works above a certain radius. I'd around a several States-wide radius on ground." He explains. "Any farther, and the teleporter can't pick you up. And no, there are no other teleporters. The Guardians--the crew that owned the Ship, had appealed to the UN about building several Transervers all over the world for ease of transport to the Nuage, but I don't think they'll agree due to the fact that we don't understand how this tech really works, per se. And we couldn't risk destroying the only Transerver aboard by reverse engineering it." He said, patting the Transerver's console. He then turned to Penelope, who asked about the rooms.

    "Right, I almost forgot about that." Timothy nodded, hearing Penelope when she spoke the second time. "The rooming will be assigned to you once we finish the tour. And due to the fact that this ship is owned by the Guardians, you'll have to grouped--despite gender." He explained, "That includes us, high ranks. The Ship Captain insisted that she keeps the side room in the Command Room."

    "Might be her Captain's Quarters, I'm guessing." Werner says.

    "Oh, and before I forget, not anyone can use the Transerver." Timothy says, soon taking out a yellow card with a stylized G on it. "You'll need a keycard for it. All of the Guardians have one of these. That includes me, Vinyl's captain, and its other 3 founding members." He said, pocketing the card. "Without that keycard, you can't teleport. Anymore questions?"
