Aboard the Grand Nuage, the pink airship soars above the skies as it sails around the world. Arriving in a world that it never been before, it became the home base of the world's current Guardians--Vinyl. 50 years ago, a rift opened in time and space. This rift then produced seemingly unbreakable discs that houses the wills and beings of what that world knew as fictional characters. Along with the discs were bands with Disc Players attached to them. Those who used them were called Drivers. These Drivers can use the Discs, becoming one with the character within, allowing them to use the skills they possess.

These powers, as powerful as they were, caused chaos. Chaos caused by the Scratch, a group of terrorist Drivers whose goal is to use their newfound abilities for their own personal gain. Headed by the elusive DJ, who handed them powerful Discs. With the recent rise of monster-like threats emerging from the Rift, the Vinyl has opted to recruit Drivers who were interested not only in protecting the world, but uncovering the truth behind the Discs and Drivers.

Gathered aboard the ship were the members of Vinyl--as well as the crew of the Nuage, the Guardians, who were now stranded in this world because of the monstrous ReRuns, who started appearing 10 years ago. Monsters that embody entire series'--monsters that claim the name of a universe.

You are one of the Drivers who chose to climb aboard the Grand Nuage and be a part of Vinyl, led onto the Command Room to be welcome you onto the group.

  The main cockpit of the airship. Outfitted with varying consoles and holographic panels that allows the navigators of the ship to not only communicate with their crew during their missions, but also monitor what's going on within the ship itself.

  Guardian Angel

  Sitting on the helm of the cockpit was a young woman, clad in a pink commander's uniform, golden hair flowing on a well kept ponytail on her back. Bearing a hat of the same color, and a green gem--signaling her importance.
  
  "I am Prarie. Commander of the Guardians, and Captain of the Grand Nuage." The pink clad girl introduced herself. "I serve as the secondary captain of Vinyl under the supervision of Captain Timothy Lead." She introduced herself, standing from her seat. "It's a pleasure to be able to work with you, recruits. This world, foreign as it may, would need not only the protection of us Guardians, but you, Vinyl, as well. May we work together for a better future." She said her spiel with a smile.

  Captain of Vinyl​
  
  "All of you will have to stay on the rooms on this floor." A gruff sounding middle aged man clad in orange spoke, arms crossed. "It'll be shared in groups of 4. As of now, though, you are free to decide which room you stay in, but be warned, you can't switch rooms afterwards." He said, soon sighing, the warm look on his face soon turning stern and serious. "Now, as of you setting foot in the Nuage, you are members of Vinyl. And Vinyl is already understaffed before you all were recruited, and nearly all of us are currently on missions---which is why, we're already on course towards one issued to us after you were picked up. Let's proceed with the Briefing." He turned to Prarie, who nodded, a holographic screen appearing in front of the new recruits.
  
  "Earlier today, around 7:00 AM this morning, there were reports of Scratch activity in the metropolitan area of Anytown, Florida." Prarie explained, "Guardian Specialist, Aile had already went ahead and investigated the report alone, but she called for backup an hour later when a ReRun identified in the area. As of now, we have yet to hear from Aile--we can assume that the ReRun's ability jammed her communications.
  
  "We believe that this ReRun was just recently formed, so no doubt, it's still weak from the fall." Timothy turned to the recruits. "A perfect training exercise for you recruits, yeah?" He smiled a bit. "Don't worry though. I'll be joining you all in the fight to show you the ropes." He said with a nod. "Any questions?" He asked, turning to the group of recruits. "If there are none, then you are dismissed. You have 2 hours to mentally prepare yourselves."

  Everything...Feels cold.
  
  Everything feels so numb within this cold void, yet your mind refuses to die.
  
  ...
  
  How long has it been?
  
  That so long ago, you felt the mundane routines to be somewhat peaceful, until the reveal of a Deity who threatened the destruction of the known Universes, claiming that by devouring them now will they be spared from cruel fate.
  
  The beings within those universes, despite the Deity's good intentions, deemed it methods far too destructive. Thus, they banded together, and attempted to slay it.
  
  However, after long battles fought with both friends and enemies alike, they all failed. You were a part of the brave soldiers who tried to fight against the God, and as the price for your rebellion, you find yourself trapped in darkness. Unable to move. Unable to feel. Yet, your thoughts still race, as if your lives still mattered.
  
  But do your lives really matter if you feel absolutely nothing at all? You believed you were still trapped in unending numbness, with time barely having a speck of meaning anymore...
  
  That is, until now.
  
  In a sudden flash of light, akin to that of a lighter's spark, you feel a sudden burst of wind on your back, as the darkness that plagued your mind and body spilled out of your vision. And as your body falls, that very darkness revealed itself to be a massive chasm in the deep blue sky, moving farther and farther as you see what looks like a concrete jungle upon spinning around.
  
  In a moment, you regain your senses--and in a moment, you realize that you are falling from the sky! Looking around, you notice that you are falling towards a sandy wasteland below, although it seems that you are practically still high up. Not only that, you notice other people falling with you--most of which, you don't recognize.
  
  Regardless, somewhere around you, a select few can be screaming--two of them teenagers in a panic, and the other one, an adult woman clad in yellow practically squealing with excitement. There are also a brown haired man wearing a pink cardigan that seems to be unconscious.
  
  "Heeeeey! Can everyone hear me?!" Yelled a red haired man wearing a yellow headband, black glove and orange slacks--a red metal band around his right wrist. Falling along side him was a giant gun of some kind. "If anyone has some pretty sick powers, can they please not let us die again? PLEASE, I DON'T WANNA FALL TO DEATH!" He clicked his tongue, looking down to find the nearest source of water to land on.
  
  "Yeah, yeah, I'm on it!" Snapped the red jacketed youth, who immediately positioned himself upright and searched his pockets, causing several purple watches to come flying out of it. "Fucking--!"
  
  "Hey, how come all those fit in there jacket of yours?" Pondered the oddly calm yellow clad woman, grabbing one of the watches. "Ooh, what a curious creature! What does this do?"
  
  "Oh, shut up for and help me look for the red eyed one with horns!" Barked the watches' owner, quickly grabbing the nearest one, looking at the face, and pocketing it. As they search for the proper watch to use.
  
  
  
  
  However, as you struggle and panic to think of a way down, you would see a large Airship flying by. And as if fate had ordained it, you all land on top of it--one by one, with a loud and audible thud. No doubt the people aboard would've heard you.
  
  
  
  
  The airship's deck was pretty spacious--almost like a runway for helicopters. There's almost nothing else here, except for an entryway which you presume to be the entrance to the ship itself.

Kitana was one such figure, landing on her feet with an audible thudding noise. She drew her war fans, keeping them folded and yet no less deadly than if they were fully open. Edenia's Princess walked over to the entryway, trying to open the door and enter the ship. She had no idea where she was or what had happened. And right now she needed answers.

Maybe the passengers on this ship had the information she needed. Only one way to find out.

Kitana watched for the others as they presumably landed on the ship. Did these falling characters know something? She could also stay and question them...

Noel and Erika Hagakure

It had been some time when they aboard the ship. Things had been going on so fast that Noel could barely grasp every info that Captain Lead had said. On the other hand, Erika has been listening contently, paying attention to every detail mentioned. After the captain of the ship Prarie had introduced herself, the briefing begins with a hologram of the Earth. Captain Lead explains about a ReRun activity happening at Florida, the weirdest state America has. An operative by the name of Aile was sent there and she had called for backup an hour later before she is never heard of again.

With all of that being said, Captain Lead asks for questions. Noel and Erika thinks there is no need as they fully understood. Just then, the group would hear a loud thud above them. "What was that?!" Noel asked "Are being attacked?!" She is starting to get worried while Erika remained cool. "I guess we batter find out then. Save the questions for later, what can you say?" Erika said turning to the entire group.

"You seem to have all grounds covered," the gruff-looking William "Will" D. Card says, tipping his trilby, "looks like you got more info here than what I can dig up in a month via my usual investigation methods. Almost all your guys are on a mission, you say? I was looking forward to some company from the more experienced faces of the organization, but I guess this is fine."

"Two hours? Awww... but I want to do it now!" the young girl beside Will, Wynn D. Card, pouts.

"Cool yer jets, sugar," Will says, "take this opportunity to learn about somethin' from everyone."

Itsuki woken up to seeing HEr falling from the sky."WHAT IN THE WORLD!"she yelled. She then grabbed out her Golden heart perfume and Shouted out those transformation words and Transformed into Cure Sunshine, but She realese she landed on the Airship, Five Seconds later.

Zackary looked at The middle age man."Excuse me, but what is a Rerun?"he asked. He had just arrived her and Had been confused at everything that had been going on right now, but he Flinched at the Audiable Thuds above him.

Penelope fiddled with her pendant and then smiled at the group. She hoped she wouldn’t have to room with people who were more outgoing than her. She also hoped that there was nobody from her home town, as she was famous there. She hated the fact that she was imortal these days, as being with her parents seamed better, but she want going to cry about it.

 

[Seabiscuit]

Shortly after Kitana landed, Issun and Amaterasu hit the top of the ship's deck with a very audible thud. Amaterasu landed on her belly, and her legs were all sprawled out.

"Oww..." Came a voice from within Amaterasu's fur. It was Issun, Amaterasu's travelling companion, for lack of a better word. He parted the white fur and emerged from the depths of his hiding spot in the fur.

"Didn't I tell you to watch out, Ammy?" Issun asked, getting out of Amaterasu's fur and turning to face her.

The white and crimson wolf let out a wolf-like groan, and pulled herself to her feet. Looking around, she noticed that she and Issun were in an unfamiliar place, and it wasn't long before she spotted Kitana.

 

[Hahli Nuva]

The former princess was trying to figure out a way inside. She tried to open the doors or cut the hull open, but so far nothing was working. Was this vehicle somehow magically protected? Probably. Kitana herself could not pinpoint exactly why she had been summoned here, but with her history of moving between the realms, it must have been something malevolent.

She hadn't seen the white wolf or her ally yet, in fact the had yet to notice anyone, until she heard the voice. Kitana turned and looked at the white wolf and softened her frustrated glare.

"Hello. Are you lost, too?" She said softly.

Cure Sunshine looked at The white wolf and the little Guy talking to Kitana, she sighed."um, Do anyone know where are we?"Cure sunshine asked.

Lena Sharp | Command Room, the Grand Nuage | Talking to: Erika Hagakure ( Topless ), Timothy Lead ( Thepotatogod ), Zachary Willerman ( Mirai-chan )

Lena fought hard to bury the sheer excitement she felt under a veneer of coolheaded-ness and calm collectedness. She was on an airship—an actual, high-tech, sleek, fascinating complex airship that went far beyond her expectations for what this job was going to give her, although she was well aware that the military did have this kind of thing on hand. It was just that she knew they were just a citizen's militia, a bunch of rookies and thus the bottom of the totem pole in this place, presumably. Starting as a newbie in something like this would be tricky, but Lena was fine with that. Learning on the job was a small price to pay for being a part of history in the making.

Then, just as Timothy Lead was finishing his spiel, she heard thuds from up above. She immediately grew curious as to what it was, but just then, this one girl on the team whom she had just met a minute or two ago—Erika, right?—spoke up, suggesting they "save the questions for later."

"Wait, wait, hold up!" Lena made an 'x' with her hands. "We should have some questions, right? Like, who are we even fighting? What's the battle plan? Point of entry? Level of difficulty on a scale of one to ten? How high profile is the enemy? You're not just dropping us in the middle of Anytown and saying sayonara, are you Tim?" She addressed their superior with a half-shrugging gesture.

This other guy on the team, Zachary, then spoke up asking about the reruns. "Oh, that's a good question, too," Lena acknowledged, then turning to address him. "From what I've heard, it's basically just these monsters and things from other worlds popping up and causing a wreck and then transforming the whole area into something out of its home world, but well, actually, I don't really know everything about it either, so Tim can explain. Or, uh, Mr. Lead, sir." She might have gotten ahead of herself calling him a nickname out of the blue...

  Hearing the thud above, Prarie turned to the women behind her, who were manning the ship's communications and consoles.
  
  "What was that?" Prarie asked as the women fiddled with the various holographics in front of them.
  
  "Ma'am, there appears to be several unidentified figures aboard the top deck." The purple haired navigator reported. "There was no sign of any other vessel nearby. We suspect they may have fallen from the sky through the rift."
  
  "Are they ReRuns?"
  
  "No ma'am. But their quantum readings appear similar to discs." One of the blonde navigators said, turning to Prairie. "We don't detect any drivers on the deck, neither."
  
  "Welp. That's troubling." Timothy rubs his chin, turning to the former government agent. "Agent Hagakure. Wanna have the honors of investigating the source? The other Guardian Soldiers should be enroute." He asked, before one of the recruits asked about the ReRuns. "Simply put, they're--" Before Timothy could fully explain what the ReRuns are, Lena, one of the recruits, essentially answered Zack's question for him. "That's kinda it in a nutshell. Although we are looking into the possibility of it actually dragging in its inhabitants with the ReRun's appearance. Although we're not entire sure. Anyway, game plan." He said, before addressing the rest of Lena's query. "Commander Prarie, pull up Anytown's map, would you?"
  
  "Right." Prarie nodded, and in a snap, a hologram with Anytown's map appeared in thin air. The map seems fairly large, similar to New York in size, but smaller by a few square feet. The layout of the streets, alleyways, and buildings appear to encircle itself. "According to the report we have, everything below 20 meters of the city's buildings have been engulfed in a thick fog. This fog is most likely jamming the communications. According to the navigators on board, Aile's last known location..." The map zoomed in near the encircled area. "Is here. South of the plaza, and near the city outskirts."
  
  "It's one of those cities that decided to make itself into one of the highways--which is why it's smack dab in the middle of nowhere." Timothy explained. "Our point of entry--if you can call it that, is right here." He pointed at the exact spot where Aile's signal disappeared. "This ship has a teleporter that could beam us in. From there, we can look for the ReRuns there. For ease of communications--and to get back to the ship, we'll need to take out the Jammer."
  
  
  

  
  "This guy."​
  
  As he said that, another hologram filled the screen. This one, humanoid. It appears to be a grey haired teen of some kind, with static face. Wearing a black coat, with large steel shoulderguards--golden eyes adorned on them.
  
  "This is the last image Aile managed to send before her communications were fully cut. This will be our target." Timothy explained, "According to Atlus, this thing is the Persona 4 ReRun. From what we know, it can spew out thick fog from its shoulderguards, and conduct lightning. It also wields a sword--a typical JRPG staple." He said, "Judging from this, we can classify this as a C Rank ReRun. Not so tough, but try not to be stupid enough to die."

Noel and Erika Hagakure

It may seem that Lena isn't one to let anyone go investigate what landed above. Good thing Prairie and her crew are handling the analysis; whatever has landed are not ReRuns, but something of people from other worlds. When asked if she wants to lead the investigation with the mention of the soldiers heading up, Erika said "Well, if they're not ReRuns and don't seem to cause harm...yeah, I guess I might as well stand back for a while until we start prepping up."

With that said, it is now time to come up with a plan. A hologram of the map appears and it points out to where Aile was last spotted before communication were cut. Another hologram appears, this time is shows their main target; a Persona 4 ReRun. "Persona 4? Hey, I used to play that when I was at high school." Erika said. "Yeah, me too I guess." Noel added. Captain Lead explains that the ReRun is capable of releasing a thick fog, conduct lightning and wields a sword. It is a C Ranked ReRun. "'C' huh? That must be an average level ReRun we're dealing with. We could have some difficulty, but most likely we will take it down if it doesn't do anything that could screw us up. At least it's not 'A' or, worst, 'EX', otherwise we would be dead within seconds the moment we approach this guy." Erika remarked.

"An...EX Ranked ReRun?" Noel asked. "Trust me. Facing a ReRun who's level of strength is cannot be measured would be the last thing to see before we get killed." Erika assured. Noel does not like the sound of that existing.

Lena Sharp | Command Room, The Grand Nuage | Talking to: Erika Hagakure ( Topless )

Lena's attention was immediately absorbed by the holographic screen before her showing a map of where they were going as well as an image of the ReRun they would face. She was glad for the intel—honestly, she wasn't expecting this much in answer to her questions (that is, actual visuals and not just a few short words), but she supposed, maybe she should have a little more faith in these guys. They obviously know what they're doing, and so help her, she would learn everything there is to know about this situation soon enough, so she could be on that same level. So, with a steady silent nod, she observed and listened. Unfortunately, she had never played Persona 4 before, so she didn't exactly have a lot of preceding knowledge about who or what this was. Although, if this was truly 'C' rank, it shouldn't be a problem—not that Lena would let that bit of info get her guard down. You never know what could happen in situations like these.

She'll be sure to take in as much information as she could in the midst of the action, but she could at least get an idea for what disc would be best to start with. She was feeling Eva for this one, the archer. If this guy shoots lightning, keeping a distance could be a good idea, although, the fog might be bad for aim. Anyhow, using Kurapika and his chains seemed like a fast way to get zapped, so she'll probably leave him out of this one. Maybe Hockney could also be useful at some point, but it was hard to say.

She listened as Erika mentioned that she used to play Persona 4 in high school, glad that at least someone on this team knew what was up. And, Noel too, for that matter. It was kind of hard to say, though, the way Noel brought it up it was as if she just watched the game over Erika's shoulder. It was just a first impression, really, but she seemed to have just been acting in her sister's shadow so far. She was kind of shy—Lena wondered if she would be fine doing missions like this. She didn't seem that capable of, well...violence, or anything like that.

"'EX' Rank?" Lena echoed, curious as to what Erika was talking about. She didn't know anything about this ranking system. "That...sounds extreme. So what would that even entail? A god?" She tilted her head at her, wondering what she knew. She supposed, though she was inexperienced, her discs as people in their own stories have faced some crazy stuff before, but how well that power relates to this world...yeah, it was complicated.

Amaterasu studied the women carefully. After the stranger softened her glare, Amaterasu approached her. She let out a wolf-like whine, trying to communicate that she was indeed lost. Turns out that walking through strange gates, like the spirit gate, probably wasn't the best idea. But, some creatures never learn, and it would seem that included gods.

"Um, I was wondering that too. We're all lost it seems." Came Issun's voice again. He looked at Amaterasu, then at Kitana, then Cure Sunshine before finally looking at Amaterasu again.

"Hey, Ammy, do you have any ink left? I think that you can probably use Cherry Bomb to blow open a way into this thing." Issun said, hoping that the inside of the ship would have the answers that they were looking for.

Penelope Went to a corner and pulled out a sword. She had to make sure it was sharp, even if it wasn’t the one she summoned, it was still important to keep it sharp. She started to sharpen her sword using a sharping stick she had, and then put it away when she was done

Zack looked surprised that lena Explained it."oh that what a rerun is."He said. When Timothy Said something about, Persona 4, zack lit up."I play persona 4! I was pretty good at playing the Video Game, With my Cousin Accourse."he said. When he said cousin, he Sounded a Bit depressed. "But wait what is an EX rank?"he asked.

  "As you say." Timothy nods, soon turning his attention to Lena, who asked what EX rank entailed. "Probably. We haven't exactly encountered an EX Rank before, but we had encountered an A Rank before. And that one's a tough cookie." Timothy crossed his arms. "It essentially was invincible except for a very subtle weakness that we realized at the last second. Not to mention their command on other monsters from its world." He said, "In the end, the ReRun got away and we haven't heard any sightings of it ever since. Although its Grimm are now rampant." He sighs, turning to Penelope and started sharpening her sword. He raised a brow.
  
  "You probably want to head to the Lab if you wanna sharpen that sword, kid." Timothy directed to Penelope, knowing that she must've wanted that sword to be in tip top shape. "There's an old midget there that might help you."

  As Issun was suggesting to blow a hole inside of the ship, one of the people that fell with them decided to speak up.
  
  "I would advice not blowing up just about anywhere." A brown haired woman, clad in a red dress and a yellow coat spoke up. A yellow tophat adorned her head. "If you must blow something up, might I suggest that passageway?" She said, turning to what indeed appears to be a metal door on the protrusion that would be the Captain's Quarters in old ships that Issun would be familiar with. "I have a feeling that's where we want to do. There's a door there, after all."

"Hey, how come you know that there is such a thing as an EX Ranked ReRun?" Noel asked. "I don't want to go into a lot of details, but I can say for sure is that I have at least encountered one before...and that one was the thing responsible for killing someone I was close with." Erika answered with a mild bitter tone. "Oh...I'm sorry." Noel apologized, feeling bad at how Erika had went through prior to their reunion. "No, you don't have to be sorry. You weren't even there after all." Erika assured. "Well...I did encountered a ReRun before." Noel said making Erika raised a brow in curiosity "I forgot what it looked like because it was a long time ago, but it was shooting a lot of weapons from out of nowhere."

"Shooting a lot of weapons huh? Hmm...I can think of a few characters who can, yet I don't know for sure if it is right." Erika replied "Yet still, I'm surprised you're able to survive such an encounter. Perhaps you must've possess quite powerful Discs at your disposal despite lacking combat experience."

"It's...complicated." Noel said.

Elam Ren | The Command Room, The Grand Nuage | Talking to: Timothy Lead ( Thepotatogod ) | Questioning life decisions, pt1

Elam stood towards the back of the group, silently listening to Lead's introduction and everyone else's conversation while trying hard to mentally prepare himself for what was to come. They were about to go on their first mission as a team, facing off against this Persona 4 guy—just a 'C' rank rerun, he said. Nothing too major. Nothing to worry about, if you had half a clue as to what you were doing. But did he know what he was doing? Ha, no. Not at all. In fact, he had been questioning to himself about every five minutes or so as to why he even decided to join this group at all. He wasn't a fighter, not really. Sure, he did take down a ReRun once, but that was only with a whole lot of help from his discs and a bit of dumb luck, as well. Being here, among other people who probably had a better handle on how to do things like this and just on life in general, he was probably going to fall behind so quickly. Or get killed. Granted...that might not be so terrible...no, not the dying part, he definitely wanted to live, but he could deal with not being the strongest in the room. He honestly was kind of glad to just...be here, as himself. Far away from home and from those who knew him. Yes, he did have some friends he knew he would miss, and he still wished that he could pay his brother Ari a visit again, but for the most part, starting anew didn't sound so bad. As long as he didn't get in anyone's way or let anyone down.

Elam listened as Timothy answered Lena's question about the ranking system, mentioning how they had fought an A Rank once, someone who was very hard to beat and got away from them in the end, someone who had control over other monsters from their world. Elam heard the story with his usual calm attention, until the very last part. When his eyes suddenly went wide and he made a choking sound. Did he...did he just say "Grimm"?

A few months ago now, a monster attacked Elam's home town. He didn't know what it was at first, but they told him later that it was a Deathstalker, which was in its world known as a type of "Grimm," these dark creatures that preyed off of fear. Or was it emotion in general? Anyways, despite not knowing what he was doing, he did fight it that day, spurred on by the voices in his head from his discs. Using Greed's disc allowed him to turn his whole body into a substance that couldn't be crushed by the giant scorpion-like creature's stinger. He used newfound claws to eventually snap the Grimm's mask in half, and Hu Tao's disc easily finished the job. He was...really just still amazed he managed to pull that off. It...it was like being in a video game, kind of, except it was real and so was the pain.

Anyways, Elam just...couldn't help but be curious. The appearance of the ReRun started to transform the town, so the world it came from, the world of "RWBY," as the show was called, was kind of important to him now.

So much for leaving his hometown behind entirely.

"W-Wait..." Elam spoke up shyly, after Erika and Noel had already responded to Timothy and thus continued the subject about the ranks which would make his comment a little off topic which was awkward but he wanted to know anyways. "Mr. Lead, what was that you said a minute ago? About the 'A' Rank who commanded Grimm? Who...uhh...who were they?"

He wasn't talking about Salem, right? Because if she was A Rank, he really didn't want to know what an EX Rank was. Because, well, he did kind of sort of binge RWBY after his little incident. It was very strange, to think that a work of fiction somehow existed as its own world, with its people being like real people...his discs certainly seemed to think of themselves as real. But...that was besides the point. The point was, he kind of knew what he was talking about...and he wasn't so sure how well he liked the idea of someone like that being on Earth and...well...real.
