Fantasy Carlisle academy story thread.

It was early in the morning. The fog was over the edges of the mountains and the castle. The sun was bright orange falling into the halls and windows of the school. The old brick on the walls was glowing yellow. The red carpet was beaming. The white curtains sat silently on the walls decorated with pictures of accomplished students and professor's.
The lush grounds were being tended too by the staff getting ready for the school year.
The dorms were being cleaned. New sheets were being laid.
The books were being organized.
The gates unlocked to the rest of the world.

Doctor Jonah Carlisle sat on the edge of his bed. His wings were stretching out. His neck cracking and his fingers running through his hair. His room was large with the windows open blowing the white curtains out and the smell of coffee through. He got up and brought his wings in and grabbed his white shirt and slipped it on.
"Ready for another year Mary?" He looked at the smaller angel holding his coffee.
Short. Long red hair. Brown and gold wings and big green eyes with freckles.
She smiled and handed him his coffee.
"Me too." He took a drink and looked around and turned and saw a formal letter she was holding.
"Ah yes i needed to sign that." He read it over.

Dear student,
Welcome. It truly is an honor to have you. The gate will be open only from 9am to 2pm to future students and family for move in day. Classes will be handed out on friday and classes will begin on Monday. Again welcome to another wonderful year at Carlisle Academy.

Sincerely,
Doctor Jonah Carlisle.

"Looks good." He signed it and coughed a bit and smiled as he held it and it disappeared off to the students.
He walked into his room and began to got dressed. Being very decisive about his clothes. Excited for the new year.

Marcus must have read the letter dozens of times from the moment he received it to now the point where his dad pulled the car through the Academy's front gates. His sister Sarah looked over to her younger brother watching as he put on a brave face to hide the nervousness he felt. A nervousness that skyrocketed once he saw the Academy itself. "It'll be fine as long as you are mostly well behaved you should get along fine with the other students."

Marcus looked over to Sarah who put a hand on his shoulder and took a breath feeling the tension leave him and let himself smile. "Your right sis you made it through without too much of an issue and even landed a boyfriend that could accept a washboard like you."

Like that the supportive mood crumbled in the face of Marcus' unrelenting tendency to tease his sister's appearance. Of course Sarah did not take this sitting down. "You can't say much I at least could land a boyfriend, you can barely manage a friendship at your best. It seems Ritchard and I are the only two who can stand your shenanigans for more than a week. Seriously though you need to tone it down here they have wards and special cameras to spot shapeshifters from pulling stunts like you tend to do."

Marcus chose to ignore that comment and change the subject. "So Sarah when are you and Ritchard tying the knot it's been three years and having a lycan brother in law sounds awesome besides he helped me learn my wolf transformations.

"I'll send an email when we decide on a date, you need to get your ass to orientation."

Marcus looked out the window and sure enough the entrance to the building itself was right in front of him. Waving goodbye to his parents and giving his sister one last hug he took his luggage bag and entered the school proper and started following directions to the orientation that they received in advance his previous nervousness returning a hundred fold.

the second even strange thing to arrive on campus was from the sky, a sizable dragon glowing a bright orange-colored decided onto the campus grounds this creature was telith the huge beast landed attentively on the grass it looked around seeming to have a scared expression on his face, the truth was telith while being a well, rather large dragon, was still a terrified child well in comparison to most here telith, was just listening to his father... branch out at actually talk to people... and learn something in the process.. but then again telith wasn't fond of the idea well not much at least. telith body begin to shrink, bones snapping and scales retracting into his body his wings wrapping around the warping body, it was for anyone that saw it rather horrific, in the end, what was left was a humanoid wearing what appeared to be leather armor and a hood, his face within the hood was shrouded in darkness his face was totally invisible aside from two large glowing eyes his hands where large claws and the strangest part was, he was shivering as if terrified, telith scurring towards where the orientation would be at still incredibly scared

Aia

Aia sat nervously in the car as it pulled up to the gates of the school. Her eyes going up to the gates before she turned them to look at the scientist sitting next to her. “maman j'ai peur.” She mumbled nervously to the woman who smiled and leaned over kissing Aia’s head. “There’s no need to be scared sweetheart. You’ll be ok.” She said softly to Aia. It settled her nerves a little but not much as she slowly got out of the car. Taking a couple steps and clearing her massive tail from the door before closing it. Turning to look at the school her eyes shifted around the students that where there. Stuffing her hands into the pockets of the hoodie she wore as she took a few steps forward before stopping. Taking a deep breath before continuing forward into the grounds of the school. Her head down.

She’d never been around anyone but the scientists and shoulders that raised her. Never saw the outside world until now besides in tv and through windows. It was scary to her but she promised her “mother” she would do her best to get accustomed to the world she was being put into. Her tail sliding behind her on the ground as she slowly made her way through the school before she froze. Yelping in pain as she looked back to see a bunch of people accidentally stepping and tripping on her tail. Whimpering she slid her tail close to her. And took the part that was stepped on in her hands. Pouting as she gently rubbed the spot. “je ne sais pas si je peux le faire.” She said softly as she made sure she wasn’t cut anywhere on her tail.

Lorelei was absolutely elated as her parents pulled up to the campus. The campus was already teeming with all sorts of people, and she couldn’t wait to meet them. She slid out of the backseat of her mom’s car and stretched out after the long drive. She wasn’t really listening to her parents little pep talk as she dragged her luggage from the trunk.

“Alright, alright! I got it guys!” Lorelei smiled brightly as she interrupted her dad telling her to the millionth time to be good, focus on school, yada yada yada. “Y’all worry too much.” She kissed the cheeks of her parents and pulled them both into a light hug. “Love you! Be well!!” She gave them one more tight squeeze before walking way from them to join the crowd of students that was ever increasing.

Lorelei pulled her curly locks up into a ponytail and out of her face as she surveyed her peers. She could practically feel the nervous energy that seemed to engulf the room. ’Should I be more nervous?’ Lorelei toyed with the thought for sometime. She was more excited then anything. Her sweeping gaze caught sight of a pale girl with quite a long tail not far from where she was standing.

Lorelei’s long and slender frame easily slipped between the crowd of students as she made her way over to the girl. “Hey!-“ Lorelei chirped confidentially, trying to get the girls attention. “I’m Lorelei,” she held out her hand as she introduced herself.

Aia
Aia has finished her inspection of her tail as a girl came up behind her. Bellowing our hey Aia jumped letting out a startled yip as her tail moved under her. Lifting her body up as she whipped around to look at the girl. Instinctively the end of her tail had wrapped around the girls left ankle as Aia stared her down with a scared and shy look on her face. Hearing her introduce herself Aia hesitates. “B-bonjour...... Je m’apelle Aia.” She mumbled to the girl nervously as she slowly set herself back into her feet. Her tail still gently hooked around the girls ankle though as her eyes studied the girl.

Naturally she took a few sniffs at the girl and grew curious at what she was, she smelt of human but also something else. It made her want to look over the girl but she didn’t yet out of nervousness.

Rynn Marshall

*earlier that week*

There was a knock on the door at Rynn’s apartment. She got up from the grey sectional and made her way to the door. Her bare feet sliding on the hardwood. She looked out the peep hold and saw a woman standing at her door. She wasn’t expecting anyone and she sighed. Taking the chain off the door she opened it slowly and looked at this young short red head at her door.

“Rynn Marshall?” She asked and smiled.

“Yea?” Rynn pulled her grey cardigan around her and was kind of confused.

“Great, I’m here to deliver your letter personally from Carlisle Academy. Congratulations.” She held out a red envelope and Rynn looked at it.

Rynn thought she would never hear that name ever again. She looked at her again and saw that tattoo’s creeping on her wrist.

“Where are your wings?” Rynn looked at her and opened the door wider for her to come in.

“Oh most humans cannot see our wings, but I hide them. It’s just easier sometimes.” She smiled as she came in and nodded.

“Why should-“ Rynn started as she stood there in the hall by her dining room.

“Before you finish Darling, let me remind you who tries to save your father, and who saved you.” She said very sharply and laid the envelope on the dark wooden table. Her red her moving a bit as she turned around and looked around. The apartment was nice, grey and white walls. Open, white and grey kitchen with the marble counters. Rynn looked at her and nodded.

“Fine,” Rynn shifted a bit and walked over to the table and grabbed the envelope.

“Great, I will tell Jonah to be waiting for you,” she smiled and walked to the door and looked at the pictures hanging on the wall of Rynn and her family.

“Your mother was beautiful,” She smiled and opened the door.

Rynn turned and went to say thank you but the woman was gone.

Rynn sighed and looked back down at the envelope and opened it and read the greeting from Doctor Carlisle.

“I can’t believe I am doing this,” she sighed and walked to her room to pack.

*That following Friday*

Rynn sat in the car. Her driver hadn’t said a single word since he picked her up from the airport. Probably one of Carlisle’s men. Rynn looked out the window to the mountains. They were beautiful. The air was a little chilly but perfect at the same time. Like a fall day. The trees were massive and colorful. The road was old and just wide enough for one car. She had been in the car for an hour now and hated sitting still this long. She yawned. The small amount of music played from the radio. Her brown leather back pack sat at her feet. Her Black and white chucks untied a bit. She crossed her legs and played with one of the many tears on her jeans.

“Here we are miss,” the driver said and Rynn leaned forward and saw the gate.

She looked at the massive walls around the academy and was amazed. It was huge. He stopped and waited for the gate to open. Rynn saw other cars pulling out and in with hers. She looked around at the lush grounds as the gates opened. She saw the castle like academy and was now nervous.

“Here’s your stop miss, someone will be out to help you.” He said and she nodded pushing open the door to the black sedan.

She got out and walked to the truck that was popped open and grabbed her duffle back and her two suit cases. As she was pulling them out she looked around.

There were other students in the court yard as well, saying good bye to their families. Rynn sighed and set her suit case on the ground with a thud.

“Well at least I made it.” She sighed.

the tense atmosphere of the crowd of students was brought to a crescendo by what could only be called an Extravagant entrance would be the best way to describe what had just happened. A swirly vortex of flames sprung from the floor spinning around as the flames change form reds to yellows then finally blue before slowly disappearing into the floor leaving not a trace of what had just happened except some ash. in it’s place was a tall rather muscular red-skinned demon who had the smuggest look on its face. It was clear that the demon was looking for a reaction out of everyone. “heeeelllooo everyone I really do hope I’m not to late”

"-Made for the rest in the best of conditions, we bring you endless munitions.
Let such revolution burn bright until their fears take hold in the night~"

Emily sang the entire way, bag slung over a shoulder as the building finally took form in the distance. There were probably innumerable methods she could've taken to reach the Academy, but she simply chose to walk. She didn't cover the entire distance on just her own two feet. She'd had to take several flights and buses here and there, it was only the final stretch which she covered through the traditional method. It gave her time to herself, time to think, and time not to think.

Ever since she'd died, thinking had become a real problem for her. Not in the typical rotting brains style, but more on the fact that ever since the moment she became aware of all things supernatural, it became extremely hard for her to enjoy things like she usually did. Things were easy back when it was just her, her pals, music, and the fans. But now...

"No mercy for the cause of the pain, only jaws gnashing away the last fallen kings~"

Emily sang to keep herself from thinking, she wouldn't have to hide so much at this place, it'd be relaxing. No time for worrying, there was only relaxing here. She'd learn some stuff about whatever magic and whimsy she was cursed with and be better able to hide it once she was done.

Her walk finally slowed as she stood before the gates of Carlisle Academy, and already she was feeling out of place. It was an entirely different feeling than when being around regular people and hiding her condition, it was more like she felt to normal now. There were all types of students here, many who seemed far more out of place than she could've. Emily remembered what her letter said, that today would be all about getting everyone oriented about how things were around here.

So until then... Emily just started wandering. Pushing her cap up a bit to see better, she just sort of started looking at stuff. Admiring the building or checking out what types of greenery they had situated around the place. The students were undoubtedly the main attraction though, with all kinds of odd things here and there.

There were apparently dragons around, that was a thing. But as Emily stood amongst the crowd watching one, they sort of started transforming into humans and stuff... so that was pretty dang neat. Then there was a demon who showed up with quite the entrance, Emily approved of these kinds of kinds of theatrics, but still found it kind of odd being performed by a demon of all things. Was just kind of odd really, but once again she was reminded that it was only odd to her because she didn't see stuff like this often. Even practicing with her own powers was done with trepidation. Looking around, the rest of the crowd seemed more intrigued by the theatrics than the fact that a demon was performing them.

But the thing about those things was that she kind of expected stuff like that. Well fantasy stuff that people spoke of in dungeons and dragons things. From the way the Academy was described and after seeing her own abilities, stuff like that was kind of expected. But whatever that pale thing in the hoodie was didn't line up with anything that she knew from fantasy stories. It seemed too fleshy to be a ghost, and too alien to be a different type of demon. It was apparently talking with some brown haired girl, and Emily found herself too curious to hold back. Besides, they seemed far enough from the crowd to not be

"Yo," she called to the two of them whilst casually approaching with her hands in her jacket pockets "Academy looks pretty sweet. Guessing you guys are attending too?"

Rynn Marshall

The courtyard was busy. She felt the wind gust by from the dragon landing and she was shocked. What was all this? Could she be the only one kind of terrified and nervous? She didn’t know and looked over and saw a guy, taller than her. He had blue hair and red eyes that glowed. Then there was another girl walking in. She seemed alright. She looked a little off though was she sick or something? Rynn pulled her duffle bag over her shoulder and her back pack on the other. She grabbed her two suit cases and began to walk through the walk ways through a few different students. There were so many people. There was a very pretty girl with curly hair and a small looking girl who looked to young to be here. Then there was a taller guy. He looked like he needed some help. As she got closer she started to really see him. She had never seen anyone like him. She was a little scared but she tried to get over it and reach out touched his arm.

“Hey you alright?” she tried to smile at him a bit. She looked up at him since she was so short.

“First year here? Me too.” She tried to talk to him.

Looking over her shoulder she another girl who had an incredibly long tail and she smiled at how confident she seemed. Maybe this place would work out for her after all.

Dean Jonah Carlisle

Jonah stood in front of the large glass window from his office. He watched as the students all came in. He had chosen all of the students one by one. They were all very special to him.

“Very good bunch this year sir,” Mary smiled and stood next to him holding his tie.

He smiled down at her and took his tie.

“Yes, they are,” Jonah started to tie his tie and laughed a little at the theatrics he saw out in the courtyard. He knew there would be a couple like that. It will balance the kids out.

“Do we have the dorm assignments out?” he turned and walked towards the door grabbing is long black dress coat white fixing the cuff links on his shirt.

“Oh yes sir, and just one thing,” she flew over for a second. Her wings making the curtains move and her feet landed softly on the ground.

He turned and looked down as she handed him her tablet she was working on and it was the student roster.

“Will it be a problem sir?” she looked up at him as he grasped the tablet and pressed him lips together and rubbed his beard a bit.

“No, it won’t” he sighed and handed the tablet back to her and she nodded.

He walked over to his desk and handed her another red envelope with his gold seal on it.

“Get those announcements out please Mary, we start classes in two days.” Jonah open the door and closed it behind him softly as he started to think.

“Yes Sir,” She held onto the envelope and said a few words and then in an instant the envelope was gone and it was sent out.

Terran cleared his throat as he hopped out of the car. His mother sat in the front seat and made no motion to get out of the car until he tapped the passenger's seat window. She jumped and looked over at her son, her blue eyes resting on his face. He watched as her snowy hair fell into her face, she brushed it off, making her light locks fall over her shoulder. She pressed the window button and it slid down into the car.

"Pop the trunk," Terran said, running his fingers through his white hair. The car clicked and he moved around to the back and opened the Impala's trunk. He pulled out his black suit case before sliding his backpack on. His mother stepped out of the car and swiftly moved to the back. She pulled at his wild hair. "Stop," he grunted and pulled his head away. Terran stepped back. "I'll see you later."

Before he could turn around he felt arms wrap around him. "Let me know when you get settled," she said as she stepped back and forced a smile. Terran sighed and nodded.

"Yup." He turned around and headed toward campus. A crack sounded and Terran's head shot up. A scaly boy crashed into a wall nearby. The boy looked frightened and when Terran's eyes rested on the fiery demon in front of him, he rolled his eyes before putting out the flames. He couldn't stand students like him. With one last glance at the boy he headed inside. Poor kid had no idea what to expect.

Terran stopped short and grunted before turning around and heading over to the dragon kid, but he was too late, there was already a girl with him. His eyes looked the girl over before resting on the boy. He was already here, might at well make sure he was okay. "Are you okay?" He asked

"I hate these kind of things," she looked around and her wings twitched. She looked back up at the guys.
"Should we go get our dorm assignmnets?" She smiled and grabbed her suit cases. Her chucks shifted in the grass. The wind blew a bit. Anyone could appreciate the mountains in the distance. The castle like Academy was beautiful. She looked at the kid and the white haired guy and dropped her suit case and put out a hand.
"Rynn, Rynn Marshall," she smiled and held her tattooed hand.

Aia
Aia watched the girl hesitantly as another came up and started to speak with them. Her eyes locked on that girl when she came up. A shy look on her face as she listened to the two converse. She would join in if not for the fact she couldn’t speak English only understand it. When the demon burst out Aia yelped and jumped behind the girls. Clinging to the back of loreli. Her hands holding onto her shoulders and her face buried into her back until the flames where gone. Peaking her head up from the girls shoulder to glance around she then lifted her head up resting her chin on the girls shoulder as she spoke still clinging to the girls back. “feu stupide.” She mumbled with a small glare at the creature that had caused the burst of flames. This place was already scary enough without the fireball creature.

It didn’t take long for Aia to notice though how close she was to this girl. Pressing into her her look quickly grew bashfully as she lifted herself up by her tail and quickly away from the girl. “Je suis désolé! Je ne voulais pas te tenir comme ça!” She exclaimed in embarrassment. She remembered how her mother told her some people had a thing for personal space. A concept Aia barely understood. She didn’t want to aggravate the girl despite her not really understanding personal space boundaries of humans.

Emily learned several key things from the first few seconds of interaction with these two. The first was that Lorelei seemed friendly enough, energetic like some of Emily's old band mates. Emily probably would've let the line of thought take her to some dark places if not for the question she was then given. But before she could answer it, the second key thing was apparent. The Academy could just poof letters to them at any moment. Emily figured she should've guessed considering how she initially received her letter, but she hadn't been prepared for it to happen mid-sentence like this. Her answer was cut off as she recovered and bent to snag the envelope before it hit the ground, but the odd girl with the tail seemed to get it the worst.

She seemed to fly onto Lorelei's back, terrified by its sudden appearance before mumbling in some other language. Emily popped her's open and gave it a once over before giving a small smile. Lorelei seemed to voice her thoughts, immediately wondering about her roommate. Emily wasn't as concerned, if they really did fix it up to her specifications then there wasn't much problem. Roommates weren't a big deal, she might be dead but that didn't mean she lost any of her star-like charm.

"Drama... that's one way of putting it." she mentioned before casually slipping the envelope into her jacket and giving a shrug "Sorry...I'm new, so I'm pretty sure I don't know anyone here."

Seeing the tail-gal get all bashful as she descended Lorelei and gave what sounded like an apology, or maybe it was an excuse, Emily snickered and gave her a pat on the back.

"Won't mean much standing out here wondering." she said whilst tilting her cap up and nodding towards the castle-like Academy "If we're rooming in the same dorm then that means we're neighbors. So why not check out the digs before it gets crowded?"

By that point she was already walking, taking in the building's appearance once more as she made her way inside.

Pom hurried through the campus gates with a bag slung over her shoulder. She had dark shades over her rose colored eyes. Partly to hide her tired eyes and partly to avoid others from looking into her eyes too long. Her hair flickered about behind her as she ducked under arms and between bodies.
She stopped suddenly when a red envelope popped up in her face. She nearly smacked right into it. She grabbed it and opened it up. Dorm assignments! And a ball?
"Sweet!"
She giggled and hurried off to her dorm to find Marcus. It hadn't even occurred to her that her roommate was male. Gender had always meant nothing to her. The only reason she even used genders was because this current realm was hung up on whether someone was one or the other.
She finally got to the dorm hall and ran straight into someone much taller than her. Well....virtually everyone was taller than her.
"Ah! Sorry! I was looking for my dorm!"
She fixed her dark glasses and looked up at the stranger.

Marcus was looking at the paper with his room number and the door before him confirming it was the correct room when he felt something hit him and stumbled. Marcus was glad to know that the movie cliche did not apply to reality and he did not suddenly fall down. So with the main crisis averted he looked at the person that crashed into his leg now apologising to him.
What he found was something that could have given the most hardened men to throw their pride away in a second. A figure of a little girl with light brown hair wearing a white hoodie and she had a poofy off white tail to top it off.

So resisting his urge to hug his fellow student he replied. "It's fine, if you were looking for the male dorms your in the right place I'm just waiting for my roommate a person named Pom. Before I forget my manners I'm Marcus nice to meet you." Marcus also kept in mind that with many beings here being just male or female was a whim for many supernatural beings himself included. It was something his sister reminded him plenty when he got the acceptance letter. She even forced him to master a base female form and awkwardly enough decided as some sort of payback for the trouble he caused to give him a dress and underwear.
Even with those random thoughts he had his hand held out in greeting

"This is so cool! Human things are amazing!"
She sat on the bed and bounced on her butt.

Marcus watched as the three foot ball of energy ran to her bed and bounced on it. "Glad your enjoying yourself." Marcus started unpacking his things keeping the dress that served as a little payback from his sister hidden. When he was done he laid down on his own bed that was much simpler and could be found in college dorms and bachelor pads across the world.

"So a high school for the paranormal sounds interesting, though a ball is too much for my tastes. Sarah told me about it and even got me clothes for it. Though the dress for my female base form she had me learn is a bit too much." Marcus then noticed he was thinking out loud once again and in front of his roomate on top of that. "Sorry disregard what I just said Pom, I tend to think out loud sometimes,"
