This part of the EP begins with the arrival at the planet, Avalon (unofficially Bob). By this time characters may have been awake for up to 12.7 years and developed communal families as described. (Children will be no older than 11-12.) Yes, you may create a small group with varying degrees of detail - a main character, plus spouses and children.

Pay special attention to the facts of Avalon's ecology and how elevation plays a key role in survival.
