Magum Mortis Class

Hira went over to grab one of the metal orbs that the their instructor laid out for them and as she grabbed one she looked it over a bit before imagining it as a enemy of hers, in which the orb slowly crumbled to dust. She honestly hadn't been really liked quite a list of people at her KESJT Program so thinking up of a enemy came quite naturally to her. She then looked over Devan kid who was apparently a orphan, she knew a few orphan kids although they were actually adopted, one in particular actually made it into her friend group and was actually pretty fun to hang around and she enjoyed her in team matches. Hira took up another orb and started answering their instructors question although her tone was more formal as of right now but she honestly considered the NRNA to be the best although it could be due to the fact she had a strong love for their homeland or she only traveled to other countries and only stayed their for a short period of time which was hardly enough to make a formulate a excellent opinion on and even then she was limited on where she was able to go. She also took note of how she was able to meet a lot of scientist who would occasionally make some nice gadgets in which Argil would sometimes demonstrate its use for them and rarely even let them try them "Yeah, the cities were fine, the contraptions served their purpose, i've been around a lot of scientists and inventors so i would say we have a great number of good inventors." As she finished another orb turned to dust and she then grabbed another one with intent on dusting it as well.

Zak of Moon

source-4.gif
Only a moment after Zak's intro and something strange was already afoot. In the form of a green blob it came to Moon with a sound somewhere between slum cat and a loose tap, it was a bender. A weird and off-putting creature to Zak who'd never seen something like it before, something cute and disarming was a new phenomenon to be sure. The closest he'd seen were feral long tooths right out the mum in a back alley, and even those could rip a chunk if handled poor. In comparison the green thing was harmless, it had to be, especially here in a school run by weak-worlders. As if they'd alow Trap-Maws [carnivorious beasts] to run amuck in their "fine establishments".

So with arrogant thoughts in his mind, when the blob came near Zak didn't dodge or attack. Rather, from a relaxed backwards lean he put out a hand, snatching it from the air like a baseball, flashing a wolfish smirk and canine tooth.

"Ell am I starin' down?" the boy mutters, squeezing the creature with a tad too much force, adding a sarcastic - - "Think it'd go swell over bits? [rice]" to to those around as he tosses the ball up absent-mindedly with eyes to the class as the blob descends in a diagonal line from its apex and to, you guessed it... Zak's unguarded chest, missing his hand by a mile.

*Poof*

"Bit nippy innit?" Zak muses, feeling the temperature drop by a couple degrees before realizing what everyone else had already, that his black shirt was gone, vanished, poofed, leaving him shirtless in class....

Picture_20191023_195508665.png
"What!"

"Fosella tirat! No fucking chance! It nabbed my cloth!" Zak rants, spinning in his desk to find the blob with anime anger steam shooting from his nose. "Anyman finds who didit gets an IOU savvy!?!" he bites with crossed arms and a tense jaw, red-faced mad at the affair and annoyed at questions he'd receive about the scarring of his body... As if it wasn't standard among slave ghetto kids. Most of all though, Zak was angry at himself. He'd never again underestimate things in the school, no matter how harmless they appeared. Next time he'd burn it with fire.

Drawn to the havoc of the classroom cloaked in darkness, a little creature certainly strange for its dark environment entered the room with a soft pop and a heartwarming, quiet trilling noise. Though no one could see its patterns, its rainbow coloration swirled and flowed around it, vaguely hypnotic though harmless in the present circumstance. This little creature scanned its environ and decided on a target: the only one remaining calm and focused so intently they might miss the soft sounds of its movement. Contemplating, in its own minor way, the creature decided to forego its usual trilling and cuteness and rapid leap to claim its prize. Instead, it surmised, it shall approach unnoticed. This would be the wisest choice. Its goal: the Strange Magic Thing that its prey held, presumably, quite dear. It had seen many brethren either have to flee, or more rarely, die in the pursuit of these things... Though this one was certainly an oddity, it noted. A friend had managed to grab one shortly after they had left wherever they once were to where they are now. Perhaps it would have to hide its treasure in its lair under the stairs then go visit its friend to compare.

Slowly wiggling forward, the rainbow Warp Sprite very gradually approached. When the target moved, the sprite stopped. When he stopped, the sprite resumed. As focused on its task as its little sprite mind could be. Once close enough, it extended a small, slimy "arm" with four little nubs to simulate the grabby meat sticks on the end of this arm that the giants seemed so fond of, and the effort visibly deformed the shape it once held. Immediately upon contact with the Strange Magic Thing, it would warp away, living up to its name with terrible efficiency.

Lavka groaned a bit when they heard that the only reason this woman was their teacher was cause it was forced upon her and on top of that she had no experience qualifications besides the being a ultima. Apparently this is how a top tier school operates and they really hated their system already, stuck with a inexperienced teacher, a roommate who likes to create a bunch of monsters for the fun of it and by the looks of it a bunch of clueless classmates who probably never even pass middle school and that was including the new kid who just came in late. Lavka then re opened his binder and turned to their Ignis teachers page to add a few details to it before they planned to do the little assignment his teacher wanted them to do.
- Inexperienced
- Not even Qualified
- The first activity she wants us to do is a dangerous one, which she is fully aware of.
- Risk of students getting harmed approximately 68%
Lavka then close their binder again this time they put it in a safe place where it would likely not get burned as they stepped a bit away from their desk and before they could attempt they saw some slime nab the new guys shirt. At first Lavka was a bit stunned that a slime would steal clothing of all things, the guys reaction was pretty much as expected with a few curses and some sorta bribe to help him. Although Lavka pretty much rolled their eyes at him the school did warn everyone about some cute creatures that were stealing things if that moron didn't pay any attention then its all on him. Lavka ignored him as they then started to build a fireball out as big as could muster up as per teachers orders the fire he produced was a bit orange and he was trying to pour out their frustrations into it in order to make it turn into white flames as they made it slowly grow bigger.

GN..jpg He was expecting the teacher to counter his spell, but the fact that it didn't even phase her was not expected. As if dealing with a small nuisance rather than an actual threat, the teacher swiftly and easily bound the student and forced his head up so that he couldn't look anywhere but at her. Jaw clenched in anger, he glowered at her but didn't attempt anything else. Like it or not, he was nearly out of mana and severely outclassed. As the teacher began her speech, Guiren grudgingly listened to her even after she released him from her hold. Credit was to be given where it was deserved, and he did come here to learn after all. He could admit that she was better than him, not to mention the fact that he also appreciated her straight-forward style. Not that it made him any less of a sore loser. With the presence of a drill sergeant Diana gave out orders to the handful of students in the class; and like an obedient soldier, Guiren took off his socks and shoes. He knew better than to challenge someone again right after a defeat. However, his somewhat cowed attitude was quickly erased as Diana summoned boulders. A punching bag. It was obvious to Guiren that she'd want to gauge their strength and with the bite of defeat still gnawing at him, the student was more than willingly to beat the shit out of a rock. Once again though, he was caught off guard as the teacher nonchalantly tossed the boulder at him. The dark-haired boy's eyes widened in shock as panic immediately set in. Shit shit shit! Backing up a bit, the student summoned up magic from his depleted mana pool in order to catch the stone. He stumbled a bit under its weight but didn't drop it. Fuck. Guiren could feel himself struggle to hold the boulder; he shouldn't have used so much mana during his fight! But I did. Now he had to face the consequences. With both hands and a grunt of effort, the dark-haired student managed to shakily raise the boulder over his head. Ignoring the sweat that was starting to form on his brow, as well as his common sense telling him not to egg on the teacher, Guiren glared at Diana in challenge as ten seconds ticked by. With spite fueling his ego and the ever-burning flame of anger within him, the dark-haired boy completely disregarded his weakened state and lobbed the boulder back at her as hard as he could. That's right bitch, I ain't going down that easy.

So focused on his work for his 'ideal' orchid, he had no way of knowing the warp sprite was gaining ground on him. It certainly didn't help that the entire class was coated in pitch blackness, so it's approach was in total invisibility. By all accounts, things were going well for Mavior...and then...his grip felt empty, and a comfortable weight was missing from his hand...his focus was gone? How had that happened? Without any focus, his channeling magic pretty much stopped due to no refined point to filter through, causing him to look around to no avail...of course he wouldn't find anything, he was in absolute darkness. Minor annoyance flashed in him before settling down...no no, this was fine. He could find it later, wherever it had gone. He could still get his work done, losing his focus didn't mean he had to fail his first lesson after all. That'd just be an excuse, and excuses were useless in the field of studies. Resting both hands at either side of his quarter finished orchid he went back to work...he was going to have to cut out finer points, without a focus, this was extremely sloppy work and difficult. But he couldn't be deterred, he had to get this done. Now he just had to spend another...five more minutes than anticipated. But if he had to choose between time, and a correct finished product, he'd take the finished product...this was irritating, but only to a minor extent.

~Chepi~

14:25 - Magum Spiritus Island, Caster Class

Chepi.png Eagerly, Chepi let her gaze sweep across her peers. They all were different, and it was hard to tell who was who. That didn't matter though, because soon her eyes landed on a monster. She drew in a sharp breath, but held still. Is that...a student? It would explain why it wasn't attacking and why the teacher wasn't reacting to it. As wary as she was, Chepi couldn't help but feel a pang of pity at the horrendous sight. Their spirit is troubled. More than just troubled; tortured. She wasn't naive enough to deny that the world could be cruel to people, especially children, and whatever that student had went through most certainly was cruel. As the teacher spoke up again, Chepi let her gaze wander back over to her. It didn't do any good to stare at the monstrous figure.

For the most part, what the teacher said made sense; although the 'loli' thing wasn't something she was familiar with. It was exciting though; for the most part, Chepi was wary when trying to commune with the spirit world. There were friendly spirits, but there were tricksters and malicious spirits as well. The school had an overwhelmingly welcoming feel, but to know that it was protected from harmful spirits as well was comforting to know. This meant that she could truly stretch her wings and test the limits of her powers without worrying about running into anything evil. It also warmed Chepi's heart to hear how much respect the spirits here were given. There were some outside of their tribe who did not give the spirit world and its inhabitants the respect and compassion they deserved. Soon enough though, the black background they were floating in slowly melted back into the classroom. Chepi frowned at the less than graceful pile that her body had slumped into. It could've been worse, she reassured herself.

Chepi Spirit Form.png
Chepi's body began to softly glow at the teacher's beckon for adventure. Exploring the spirit realm as spirits themselves? It was more than tempting, it was irresistible! With all of the contained glee of a child on their birthday, Chepi followed Ms. Sylvia outside and stared in awe at the new world around her. The familiar structures of the mortal plane were still there, but new and wondrous spires stretched into the sky. She was so consumed with the bright scenery, that she jumped in surprise when a woman made out of swirling wind and lightening almost bumped into her. "It's fine," the words tumbled out of her mouth automatically. Chepi stared at the spirit's breathtaking form as she left, before examining the other wandering spirits. Their colors were like glowing lights decorating the already ethereal background. I wish Kitchi could see this. The thought snapped her out of her amazement. Could Kitchi enter this realm? If he could, what would he even look like? Oh, it was a marvelous thought; she had always struggled to share her experiences with him since hers were of another world, but if she could somehow bring him with her...

Turning to the teacher, Chepi asked, "Are we able to bring others into this realm with us? Or is that too dangerous for someone that can't commune with spirits?" While the thought of being able to share this amazing world with Kitchi filled her with longing, she'd rather not risk it if it meant that he'd be harmed. This realm was risky enough for someone who could enter it, but for someone who wasn't meant to be here it could have dire consequences.

Maria.jpg Pleased with her work, María glanced around to room to examine her peers. Miranda seemed to be fine, but that was to be expected. She may have been a rash girl, but she was a bright one as well. Hopefully she'll grow out of her impulsiveness. Tristan seemed to be fine as well. The only one that seemed to be having a huge struggle was the Timurovich student. The soldier watched him grow more and more frustrated at his lack of success with a raised eyebrow. It might help if you use your tool. The brunette's eyes widened a bit at the thought. Wait, did he already lose his focus? María inwardly cringed at the realization. Caramba, can he even get it replaced? It was barely even halfway through the first day and he lost the one thing every teacher had warned them not to lose. Glancing away, she stared at her own tool. For a moment, she contemplated loaning her tool but immediately squashed the idea. These people were not to be trusted; as much as she wanted to, she couldn't. Terra Augurium and its sympathizers were not trust-worthy. Although, whether or not they're competent is another story, she mused while she watched Miranda give her focus a few smacks.

Movement caused María to look down at the teacher's familiar. The creature was staring right back at her silently, making the brunette start to feel a little unnerved. She glanced at the teacher in confusion, but his intentions were quickly made clear as the fox suddenly lit up. Letting out a soft hiss at the unexpected brightness, the soldier shielded her eyes before submitting to keeping her eyes closed with her hands covering them. Her annoyance was easily smothered with the information the teacher gave. Another test of our abilities. María had had plenty of experience with dimming her own light, but another being's light that was this bright was another story. Let's hope that all of us working together can dim it. Moving her one arm to cover her eyes, she used her newly freed hand to feel for the focus she had left on the desk before holding it out towards Soup's fox familiar. Concentrate. Taking in a deep breath and letting it out slowly, María focused on dimming the fox's magic.

~Lee Owens~

Lee Owens.jpg If Lee wasn't awake before he was now. When Ms. Ellania connected her fist with her open palm, a small shockwave went through the room. Eyes bright with wonder and haired now tousled into a mess, the boy eagerly listened. He wasn't quite sure what a mana pool was, but it didn't sound like they had a lot. Is it...like a magical muscle? His dad had always said that muscles take time to build, and that you had to keep working so that they'd be big otherwise they'd never grow. A mana pool sounded like it was basically just muscles for magic. The young boy startled at the rocks that suddenly came out of the ground. Whoa! Trying not to draw too much attention to himself, he wiggled down into his seat and tapped his foot on the ground. When rocks didn't spring up from the ground, his smile turned into a disappointed frown. Well, I guess that makes sense if my magic muscles are too weak. Glancing at his new friend Ivanna, she seemed to be just as excited as he was to punch boulders. Oh no, will it hurt? Suddenly nervous, Lee followed his new friend's lead and approached a boulder. Testing the firmness of the rock, he gave it a slap. Wincing at the light pain, the young student concluded that the rock was thick. As much as he death and gore fascinated him, the thought of it coming from himself was very frightening.

His nervousness didn't get any better as another student, Anil, suddenly moved to attack the boulder like as if it were a monster. Lee flinched away as the older boy's hits made contact with alarmingly loud thuds. The stone cracked again and again until shards were coming off of it. Just as suddenly as the boy started though, he stopped. Frightened, Lee stood frozen. Watching a person smash a boulder while standing right next to it wasn't as cool as he thought it'd be. It was scary. Is this why Mom and Dad are afraid of Augurium? Unexpectedly, the redheaded boy wasn't feeling that confident anymore. He knew that Terra Augurium wasn't bad, it was nice! Ms. Ellania was very nice too! Everyone was nice! They wouldn't hurt him, he knew that. But, he wasn't strong like Anil or the Ultimas. Glancing from Anil's destroyed boulder to his own untouched one, Lee felt dread. Could he even keep up with everyone? He didn't have to first clue on how to use his magic. Every time it ever happened it was always an accident. Will they hate me if I can't do it? He was terrified. He didn't have his parents to baby him anymore; he was on his own and with that realization came the first trickles of regret. Did I make a mistake? Desperately needing comfort, Lee turned towards the teacher. Despite his age the redhead looked and acted younger, so he had no problem going up to the teacher and asking, "May I please have some help please? I don't know how to do it." It's just like swimming or riding a bike. He remembered how scary it was to first learn how to do it. How afraid he was that he'd drown or fall off of his bike or get hurt. It wasn't that bad after a while. Magic had to be the same.

LFB.jpg Liliana rubbed Venissa's back comfortingly. The portal had been terrifying so she didn't blame her roommate for not wanting to go through again. "We can ask to walk next time." Maybe Liliana would have to go through the portal, but Venissa definitely shouldn't. Can she get some sort of exception from her therapist? At the very least, the girl deserved an emotional support familiar or something. Removing her hand from Venissa's back but still keeping their hands intertwined, the brunette's gaze turned back towards the teacher as he talked. Make a bubble, over that? Staring at the tall building that looked more like a hedge than anything else. She turned to the other students and felt even more unconfident. There's only four students, can we even do that? Her tune quickly changed at the immense dome of darkness that Mr. Mikael began to make. He was doing most of the work, which meant that they didn't have to do much! Still... Liliana hesitated. She hadn't been able to get her tool to work before, would it now? Mr. Mikael had said that Tenebris was different for everyone; maybe she was doing it wrong? Instead of trying to cast magic like everyone else, she should stick to how she understood it?

As if sensing her thoughts, They gripped at her feet. To Liliana, the darkness was alive. It wasn't just something to command, it was a friend. Gripping her paintbrush, she swung it towards the forming dome. Instantly, the pressure on her feet was suddenly gone. The brunette could feel her heart race as energy was spent. It was like she was running or swimming or exercising somehow, but she wasn't. The only other time she had felt like this was when she had passed through her wall. Let's hope I don't pass out this time. Breathless, she watched as the dome completely surrounded the building. She could feel Them in there; doing Their part in blocking out the light. I did it. She did it. She used her magic. She used her focus. She did it! Although she didn't notice the person yet, the wave of emotions she felt was amplified by his presence. Adrenaline was pumping through her. She was excited. She was relived. She was happy. She was too many things to keep track of. A spark of ferocity that hadn't been lit in a long time flared to life, causing her to suddenly burst out, "Hell yeah!" Grinning widely, she turned to her roommate, "I'm actually like, really relieved because I thought that I was magically disabled or something." She was too loud, but for some reason she couldn't reign herself in. The brunette had always been loud, but had grown quiet and withdrawn after her brother's death. Yet, for some reason she was feeling...a little more like herself. Finally noticing the newcomer thanks to his question, Liliana could feel a strange surge of excitement within her. "Nah, you got the right place," she replied at a volume that was still too loud. She started chuckling, which without context was just creepy. Hell, even with context she was being creepy. What's wrong with me? The brunette did her best to contain her chuckles, but whenever she forced herself not to laugh the situation seemed even funnier. It was a vicious cycle until it came to a head and she finally burst into laughter, occasionally snorting at how hilarious the prank suddenly was.

Pandora

Hearing an "AHHHH" Pandora glanced up from her box to see the teacher coming her way. Looking at him she felt a small tinge of annoyance as the teacher said she had a horror theme. "It just happens.." Pandora mumbled out as he walked away. Feeling alittle inwardly tinged at it she tapped her feet anxiously as the pixie in her hair began to unfurl once more. Wings fluttering it descended to stand atop of the box, its face looking directly at her. Pandora began to smile but her smile quickly faded as darkness began to fill the area around her. Looking around she felt her heart skip a beat before Mouth began to go "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" before pausing and going "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" once more. Pandora nudged Mouth with her feet making it jolt up, its tail whipping around and hitting Pandora's desk. "Mouth!" Pandora grumbled as it knocked her box onto the floor, the pixie flailing in the air unable to tell where Pandora was.

The Pixie however finally figured out where Pandora was as she set the box back onto her desk. In the darkness Pandora's eyes glowed a vibrant purple, the glowing light allowing the Pixie to land back on her head. "You are a true catastrophe." Pandora mumbled in reference to Mouth. Taking the box into her hands she made sure that it didn't disappear in the darkness. "Why is it so dark? Do we need to make a Bio luminescent light?"

"Excellent to hear, miss Viona, fearing the water is to fear yourself. Over half of the human body is water after all, roughly sixty percent. It's an interesting little fact, don't you think?" Turning around to flash a small smile to the young woman he continued. "Oh yes, we're all perfectly fine with you here. Whatever mutation you may have, the island is perfectly prepared and self sustaining, everything's perfectly fine!" He gave a small laugh as the poor girl tried to jump up to swim, only to plummet back down. "I'll show you how to get that down pat, it'll be one of your first lessons."

The teacher walked with a somewhat bemused expression as his other student outright fainted, resting his hand against his cheek. "Oh...that won't do. No no, we certainly must wake her. I can't get to know both of you, if one's unconscious, let alone teach effectively. How will she ever get to explore the island as well? No no, won't do. Fear not, I can help." Taking a few steps forward he kneeled down, gently rubbing his hands together before cupping one beneath the unconscious girls nose, a very small pool of liquid filling up. "This should be enough to wake her, but not do any harm. It's liquid smelling salt, if you want to put it that way. You'll find as I teach you, that Vene Aquas is a bit of a jack of all trades...I like to think so anyways. While she's waking up, do tell me about yourself! As I said, I'm your friend, not just your teacher. Do you have a favorite animal? Color? Perhaps a unique little quirk about yourself? Oh, here's a good one, what's your favorite food?"

Despite having to deal with a KO'd student, the teacher still seemed rather upbeat about the entire class so far. Truthfully he never heard of an aquas student passing out from fear of water of all things, but they'd work on it.

Aranea took her seed from the teacher giving him a Cold glare. "Just dont let it happen again sir..." as she begun to work on her seed. A spider lily would be nice. Its beautiful. And spiders. But then the lights went off. Clicking her tounge she stood up stomping over to rever "Egyptain make yourself useful" and grabbed him by the horn forcing him to bend down using the faint glow of his horns to observe her work. Rever meanwhile was very uncomfortable now having to bend over while still trying to focus on his seed. "Hey hey not the horns!" she heard but didnt care as she focused on her seed. A spider lily growing from it.

Viona watched as he took care of her classmate. She relaxed some hearing that she was fine here before she was barraged by an assault of questions. "Uhhh poison dart frog, Neon green. I'm a practitioner of the Rage of Nature sword style. And my favorite food... Calamari with a cup of black tea!" She answered back hurriedly. This teacher seemed really friendly.... a nice change of pace Viona though as a clownfish swam by.

Locoma slowly woke up and quickly forced the water around her to dissipate leaving her with a pocket of air around her. "Water... everywhere...so much water. Need sanitation, antibiotics. Towels...." she was trembling as she curled her head between her knees. Poor locoma was essentially a deer in headlights when it came to water she was scared to even go into pools. learning she was surrounded by water... was too much for her.

He smiled gently, listening to Viona answer each question in turn. "No need to speak in such a rushed tone with your answers Viona, slow and easy is perfectly fine. So, you're a swords woman, hm? You'll have to tell me about that later at some point. I won't fuss about you having your sword, so long as you don't harm anyone in class, yes? If there were any issues with you having it, it'd have been 'claimed' at one of the baggage checks long ago, when you first came onto the school, so I'm not overly concerned...Oh good, you're awake." He gently pulled his hand back, the liquid ammonia quickly dissipating. Watching his poor student practically break down, he rested his cheek in a hand. "Young miss, I need you to take a deep breath, and relax. Even if you're surrounded by water, do you really think I'd allow any harm to come to you? I assure you, it is perfectly fine here, and you'll slowly grow use to it. So breathe...I only have so much time in each class to teach you both, but I can't give lessons if you're too terrified to focus."

Standing upright he offered a hand out to the poor girl, keeping his polite smile in place. "Won't you come with me, and your class mate? There's so much I had wanted to show you on this island...I'm sure the sights will be more than enough of a distraction to help take your mind off of things...Hmm.." He rubbed his chin in thought, before snapping his fingers at a thought. "I'll tell you what. Is there perhaps any animal at all that you like, that dwells in water? If you can keep composed long enough for this class and tour, I promise to find it for you here. Is that fair miss?"

Everyone would be absolutely exhausted, drained of more mana than they knew they had, regardless of the class. Sylvia eventually lead her Spiritus class back, where all the students would find themselves surprisingly tired, despite having only walked around. Ignus was a lot of small flames, over and over again with Seryva. Aere was... so much fruit cutting... though to be fair, Damon and his class had a nice fruit salad come to the end of it. Ellania, as kind and professional as she was, did not go easy on her Navitas class. They had to punch those rocks until they couldn't... though she made sure any injuries were healed accordingly. Diana's class arguably had it the worst. She was like a boot camp sergeant with her determination and harshness. She made sure to push her class until they could barely shuffle along. Mr. Artor was much nicer, focusing the class on swimming and looking around instead, though still tiring in its own way. Mortis with Octavia was a lot of small dusting exercises, which, after more than an hour of doing so, was pretty tiring in and of itself. Vitae, after the failed attempt at a prank was handled, was a lot of slowly growing plants - absolutely exhausting for mana pool and control. Mikael with Tenebris was a little annoyed after his prank failed, some late students coming up on the class as they were plunging it in darkness. He was pretty amused, however, after learning that a Warp Sprite had managed to nab something in the chaos. After that, he headed to a garden with his class and worked on creating little puddles of darkness over and over again. Boring, but tiring, as was the objective. Lastly, Soup with the Ex Diem class was enthusiastic about the whole class. His energetic behavior never waned, even when the class got tired. Dozens of lights later, the class was done.

Everyone exhausted from every class, dinner and freetime were next. Luckily, this went on without any silliness. People were too tired to cause any silliness. They needed food, and that seemed to be the general consensus of nearly everyone. Even the Warp Sprites didn't bother swooping in during that time!

After a nice break, however, came the fitness class at 19:15. The last class of the day, this one lasted until 22:00, and was all about working out the physical, rather than mana like the caster class was about. Though perhaps the least favorite activity, it was required, and the shuffling, tired masses made their way to The Ring.

This class was a little different. It wasn't separated into teachers or whatnot, at least not as firmly. The Ring was big enough that the students could all head up there and treat it like a large gym. Once there, there were some options. Seryva stood in plain view of most students, standing atop a pillar of ice, and whistled with her fingers, "Alright! Last class and then you can all pass out like I know you want to. You get to choose how you want to work out. There's running, weightlifting, swimming, and sparring. Anybody that wants to spar, come to me. Anybody that wants to swim, go to Mr. Artor. For weightlifting, go to Ms. Ellania. For running, go to Ms. Diana. If you wanna just sit around and be lazy, understand that you'll only get away with that for this first week. Lastly. NO MAGIC DURING FITNESS CLASS. Got it? Good." She stepped down from her self-made pillar of ice and waited for the mass of students to make their decisions. She knew many of them would likely just decide to take the lazy route while they still could, but she hoped some would want to spar... sparring was her favorite.

19:15 - Fitness Class, The Ring

His second class of the day, technically his first, had come with a mix of good and bad. Good, because he had managed to complete the orchid...not perfectly as anticipated, but about seventy five percent of the original vision he had worked for. Bad, because he had to do all of that without his tool, and as such was modestly exhausted, though his mana pool wasn't completely shot, it was definitely more than he had anticipated to use. Again, this was good, it meant he was going to be pushed in each class, which would only bring out the best in each of his fields. Finally, the worse...his tool hadn't been anywhere within the class at all, and with how it had simply gone missing, it was safe to assume a warp sprite had taken it...such a mixed bag today, he'd have to get his tablet back.

Dinner had gone by with an enjoyable silence for him personally, he had managed to find a place out of the way to eat, and that was the end of it. Now, he'd have been perfectly happy to go to his dorm, settle in, and run through a few books and personal studies...but that would have been to easy, they had to have a fitness class. If there was thing that actively annoyed him more than anything, it was the idea of a fitness class...he was built for mana, not...really anything else. But, after some reflection...it would be good to have this class, it'd give him an excuse to better himself still and work for a better physique for pugnator classes. So while it was definitely annoying for him, it was a necessary annoyance, and one he would minimize his complaints about.

The chance to spar with his teacher would be an...acceptable way, to make up for missing his class with her today, if to no one but himself at least. Shoving his exhaustion into a mental 'box' he started after Seryva to get this done..he could open that box and come to terms with the fatigue later, but for now there was this to do. It was a matter of mind over physical substance, just like how one could alleviate pain by focusing and mentally overcoming it, the same could be said for many things...the only downside, and it was major, the longer he ignored that little 'box', the bigger it was going to hit him later when he finally accepted it. However, this would be an acceptable situation, he couldn't rightly get anything done if he was an exhausted mess...when he got to his dorm he'd allow the fatigue to hit him like a baby grand piano like it wanted too. Before he knew it, he had closed the distance, offering a simple wave towards miss Seryva. He didn't need to talk, not yet at least, no point in distracting her or himself when there was undoubtedly going to be more students who filed over.

19:15 - The Ring

There was a sound of rustling grass as the boy walked towards his destination. He had been told to join the fitness class, to begin his cursus in the Collegium Magi. Or so heard I. I saw him sigh, as he glanced at the sky and the setting sun, almost there. I understood that he was quite tired; he'd been travelling for three months or so, barely made it to the school on his last leg yesterday, and had to deal with all of the administrative stuff in the morning and afternoon. Of course, I could only watch as he lived, most of the time, I was helpless to do anything for him. He was like that, an airhead sometimes. That's how it was meant to be, I think. But, who am I to care about that... I'm just someone's shadow, not a poltergeist or something. And... Nevermind, seems like the boy's about to fall over... Oh, he's coming back to himself... Time for me to disappear, then...

-

I almost fell to the ground, as I tripped over a small stone. Right before hitting the ground, I put my hands in front of me, and rebalanced myself. My toe hurt like hell, though. I got back up, and started walking again. I was almost there, and I swear I could already see the teacher rolling her eyes as I was about to be late to my first lesson. I sighed again, and hurried up, almost running to get there. "Whoops" I muttered under my breath, the sleeve of my t-shirt falling off my shoulder as I went. Damn, shouldn't have taken this one, it was way too loose... Anyway, I didn't have time to care. I used my right hand to put it right, and hold it in place.
There were already quite a few people there when I arrived. Hopefully, the teacher - Miss Seryva, had I been told - didn't notice me almost falling. I let out a small sigh of relief as her eyes passed over me without stopping. I averted all eye contact, though; I didn't feel quite where I should be. I had been told that it's the same for some students... Yet, I still had that knot tied in the middle of my stomach, telling me that I had made a mistake by coming here. I shrugged mentally. Now I was there. I might as well give my all to whatever I had to do. I was sure that it would be more interesting than petty crimes in an alleyway for a meager living. "Yeah, that's the mindset, boy" did I hear within. Or did I ? Not sure. May as well have been my imagination. Or simply that I was slowly but surely becoming mad. Three months of walking alone, meeting unsavoury people, and not eating as much as I needed could have done that to my mind, yes. Anyway, I told my brainman to fuck off, in diplomatic terms. "Shut it, myself. You're not helping, there". There was no response. Yeah, I was turning crazy.
I breathed out, rolling my eyes, and focused on the events at hand.

Well, xelon did manage to get to class after the prankers left so that was good well until he found out what they were doing man was that tiring for even him in his boundless capacity for energy, of course, his particular condition did make recovery... a little more annoying. He got something to eat and basically flaked out falling asleep during free time and for. Xelon that was horribly annoying he hadn’t even had time to talk to anyone or get to know them. Well of course until it was time for fitness classes with everyone gathered xelon mulled over the options available all of them sounded like good fun while yes he was still sort of tired he really didn’t want to look like a slacker after showing up to class late beforehand. He took a moment to consider tapping his foot against the ground sparring sounded like fun getting up close to others, of course, it probably wasn’t the best time to try and chat but Xelon didn’t even consider that. following Seryva and however else was going there so far there was just one other person.. one of the people from his class right? with a smile, xelon walked toward them as well "oh hey? how you doing?... well i mean sorry my names xelon whats yours?"

Ami Leii wasn’t sure anyone had even noticed her all day. She had been blending into every classroom quite literally the entire day and now was the last chance she had to get someone to interact with her for the day. She went to the track field and stood at the starting line, her skin flashing a rainbow of colors in an effort to be noticed. She settled on purple since there was nothing purple nearby. She bent down to the track to prepare for her startup. Stretched out her legs, placed them on the starting mounts then she took off. Running as fast as she could along the track. Trying her best to stand out.

Steve had gone to Mr. Artor as Ms. Servya had said. Swimming. It's something I enjoy and it's pretty much impossible for me to accidentally set someone on fire while doing it. It hadn't taken Steve long to make his decision. Before long, he was in the water paddling as the currents pounded against his long and slender frame. Besides, I'm in my frickin' element here. This has been such a damned weird day. All this craziness with Warp Sprites, man. One of the bastards stole Zak's shirt clean off his back. I wouldn't blame him if he was still sore about it. I'd probably be pretty PO'ed if that happened to me, too. It's pretty amazing to me that there's a teacher my age here. She must have put in a hell of a lot of hard work to get there, too. Ms. Servya had never ceased to impress Steve in his first day at the school. Ah, damn it, and her class was the one where I almost set my shoes on fire... and the one where everyone was looking at me like I'm some backwoods lunkhead. I ask if everyone's okay after that debacle in the hallway and I get ignored like I'm some asshole who wants to be worshipped. And then there's that geezer blowing a gasket over damned coffee. It's coffee, and he's about to have a heart attack and dropping F-bombs like a Robert De Niro movie. I'm not even sure how many of these kids actually came to school to learn. What a great first day of school, huh? It's my first day and I already feel like someone smashed my head through a vending machine. Damn it! Why did Mom and Dad have to send me here, huh? Is this my punishment for exploring the Deadlands even though they told me not to? If that's the case, I guess I brought it on myself. But I won't run away. He swam faster and harder, as if being chased by a massive Great White Shark, a determined expression etched onto the teen's face and the blue in his eyes steely as if staring down a demon that came directly from the pits of Hell. Strike that. I mustn't run away. I can't. The words "run away" are not in my vocabulary. So go ahead. Hit me with your best shot. You're not getting the best of this biker. If I've survived getting attacked by mutated beasts in the Deadlands, I can sure as hell survive school. At this thought, a smirk formed. I've got this. Okay, so I don't have all the answers and I won't get it all right away, but I will get it as I learn and that's good enough because I'm not exactly a slow learner.

Zak of Moon
The Sparring Ring

source-5.gif
A fresh black shirt on his chest and a bandage around his burned right hand, Zak approached the ring with cocky aire radiating. No magic the rule went, a bundle of laughs for the hoodlum who gleaned a look at those around, thinking of who'd approach and how he'd take them down. Arrogant sure, but they were in his world now. Scrapping was just another day's work back home. If Zak had a credit for every punch thrown at a mooks head and every punch felt he'd be a rich man, so when he stopped at ring center it was with absurd overconfidence, marked by a toothy smirk spelling out "who wants it then?" to anyone looking his way.

Didn't matter how he felt, he'd be ready. Sure the Mana training had zaped him but the grub made by the cookmen gelled right. Even without that on the balance a fight brought a fire to his heart that could fuel a rocket. A good scrap was a war-kin's favorite dish after all, win or lose. All Moon hoped was that a worthy enemy with a tough hook and iron chin would throw down with him... But that was unlikely in his estimation. The people here didn't look able to take a good blow, even if they could dish one, and as he rotated his right shoulder with his left hand massaging from atop he couldnt stop a grin from growing in a wolfish display.

"Step up step up, don't ave a year just a few to throw em', any braves? Or should I box shadows en?" he asks, peeling the bandage from his right hand, revealing a burned patch he'd earned in class Ignis. No chance he could fight with it on, corruption or not, War-kin bore the pain and fought free.

19:15 - The Ring

Ka-thum.

I heard him speak. The big guy, with his smug grin. I had met many like him. Arrogant. Bossing their underlings around. Vain. Flaunting their meager skills. Dumb. Never expecting the blades in the dark. Made my blood flow to my ears, my brain... My mind. "Eiii... Ehehehehe... haaaaah..." I bet that at this moment, I sported a grin just as weird as his. I felt the bones of my face move as my smile widened into a psychotic smirk, from ear to ear, or almost. Maybe... I always overthought things. I licked my lips, to make my smile fade away, and assumed a neutral face again; I couldn't help but have my feet tapping the ground in rhythm. I wanted to run at him, to punch the stars out of him... "Do it. Bash his head in, show him who's got the better fists. Show him who is the best."

Ka-thum. Ka-thum.

Two heartbeats. My misplaced joy was gone in that instant. Again, the weird voice in my head, talking to me. I clenched my teeth. Clenched my fists. "Silence" I muttered within. "Silence... silence... silence" I muttered without. I was a bit scared.

Ka-thum.

Another heartbeat. I didn't care anymore. "Stay focused" did I hear. "Stay focused" did I repeat. We agreed. Stay focused. The first rule of battle, the first rule of survival. Let yourself wander in mind, and you come back to yourself as a corpse. I narrowed my eyes, cracked my fingers, and rebalanced myself. It was perhaps not even visible from the outside, but I felt right on my feet. Ready for combat. Just to be sure, I tightened the hemline of my skirt, and made sure my t-shirt wasn't going to fall over my shoulders. Best to not expose weak points.

Ka-thum. Ka-thum. Ka-thum.

It was painful, the blood, the beat, rushing to my ears, rushing to my brain, rushing to my mind. I tapped my heels on the ground, following my pulse. Steady, not too strong... but too fast, I thought. I was excited, a little. I didn't care. I wanted to go. Right now... I didn't have a knot in the stomach... My whole body was a string of steel, ready to lash out. "Fuu... ack."

Ka-thum. Ka-thum. Ka-thum.

I breathed out to calm myself... too much. I had expired too much, and ran out of breath. I loosened, slightly, taking some air in, waiting for the signal to be given. I wanted to fight.
